## Analysis

Walt Wood provides a detailed first impressions analysis of the newly announced Pokemon Pinball by Stern, examining trailer footage and premium gameplay video. While appreciating the game's accessibility and Pokemon IP, Wood criticizes the playfield design as generic and derivative, questioning creative choices like the underutilized Snorlax toy and angled standup targets. He expresses uncertainty about the game's appeal to seasoned players versus new audiences, ultimately concluding it lacks the 'wow factor' that would make him eager to play it despite his excitement about Pokemon receiving a pinball release.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] Pokemon Pinball was designed by Jack Danger and George Gomez — _Confirmed via Pinside forum search; Wood verified this through online search during video_
- [HIGH] Snorlax toy appears inconsistently in gameplay footage - present in one shot, absent in another — _Wood identifies specific moments in premium gameplay footage where Snorlax is visible then missing_
- [MEDIUM] Angled standup targets are intentionally designed to direct balls toward outlanes to increase ball speed and quarters-per-play — _Wood's analysis/speculation based on target angles he observes; presented as opinion rather than fact_
- [HIGH] Pokemon Pinball playfield uses standard, recycled layouts seen in Star Wars, Wheel of Fortune, and Junkyard — _Wood explicitly compares: left orbit (Star Wars), left ramp (Wheel of Fortune), center captive ball (Junkyard)_
- [MEDIUM] The game is designed primarily for new audiences and children rather than seasoned pinball players — _Wood's interpretation of Stern's strategy; supported by game's accessible layout but not explicitly confirmed_

### Sentiment

**Mixed** (0.42) — Wood is genuinely excited about Pokemon IP reaching pinball and appreciates Stern's accessibility strategy, but disappointed by generic playfield design and lack of innovative features that would create memorable play experience. His enthusiasm is tempered by critical assessment that it won't appeal to experienced players or create the 'wake-up-thinking-about-it' factor he values in great pinball games.

### Signals

- **[design_philosophy]** Snorlax toy implementation criticized as underutilized - positioned as flat side toy rather than central interactive bash mechanic despite being ideal character choice for this role (confidence: high) — Wood identifies Snorlax as missed design opportunity for bash toy; notes inconsistent appearance in gameplay footage (present then absent)
- **[design_philosophy]** Stern appears to be deliberately designing Pokemon Pinball with accessible, easy-shooting layout using recycled mechanics from previous games (Star Wars orbit, Wheel of Fortune ramp, Junkyard captive ball) to attract new/casual audiences rather than challenge seasoned players (confidence: high) — Wood's detailed comparison showing layout elements directly copied from prior games; angled targets designed to send balls toward outlanes to speed play
- **[design_philosophy]** Community/Wood questions whether generic playfield design aligns with Jack Danger's known creative philosophy and past high-quality work (X-Men, Foo Fighters), suggesting possible reduced creative control or rushed design timeline (confidence: medium) — Wood's comparison: 'I don't know, man. Like to me it just seems like too generic to be a Jack Danger' based on past designs' distinctiveness
- **[licensing_signal]** Multiple animations in Pokemon Pinball footage marked 'pending licenser approval' indicating Pokemon Company maintaining strict control over content and possibly limiting creative expression in game design (confidence: high) — Wood directly notes 'pending licenser approval' text overlaid on animations in gameplay footage
- **[market_signal]** Pokemon Pinball positioned as family-friendly entry point to pinball for new/young audiences rather than competitive/experienced player market; layout complexity deliberately simplified (confidence: high) — Wood's explicit analysis that game won't appeal to seasoned players; design strategy to onboard children and new demographics
- **[product_strategy]** Pokemon Pinball utilizes angled standup targets as intentional design feature to increase ball speed and create deceptive difficulty (easy to shoot, hard to control) - distinct from standard perpendicular targets (confidence: medium) — Wood's detailed analysis of target angles showing they direct balls toward outlanes; credited to deliberate manufacturer choice
- **[sentiment_shift]** Wood's enthusiasm decreases through video as detailed playfield analysis reveals lack of innovative mechanics and wow factor compared to recent Jack Danger designs (confidence: high) — Opening excitement ('They did it!') gradually replaced with critical disappointment; no desire to wait in line or play despite Pokemon IP enthusiasm

## Transcript

Ladies and gentlemen, do not adjust your set. You are seeing correct. It's a Pokemon pinball machine in front of your face. Yes, sir. Bob, here it is. How do you do? What do you say? Please forgive my voice. It might be cracking here and there. I just got over uh laryngitis or tuberculosis, whatever it is. I don't know. My voice is shot. Anyway, how do you do, man? What's going on, Pokemon? They did it. Can you believe it? They did it. I was thinking it was going to be this or there was rumors of mumblings of a Transformers. I heard of the Transformers. It was Pokemon. Yeah. Let's see what we got. So, I got the trailer. We'll start with that. Please forgive my shitty TV as per usual. This is the best setup I got, man. But I figure, hey, let's see what they got for us. Are you excited about it? I'm excited about it. Come on. Let's go. Oh, wait. I need my glasses. Hold up, hold up, hold up. Let me get my glasses on. Hope everybody's been doing well out there. Yeah. Come on. Let's go.
Yeah. Okay. [music] See what we got.
Yeah. [music] They do the trailer so quick, don't they?
[music]
The mouth head. Pokeball. Pikachu. Snorlax. They did Snorlax dirty though on the side. I'd rather bash the Snorlax in the middle. Scoop under the ramp. That's cool. Pokeballs moving.
Better be caught. Okay. Ah, little fishbowl just like creature from the black lagoon or uh Mustang.
I like the center pit right here. That's kind of cool.
Got the ball in the middle. Okay. Oh, John Youssi that? That was a cool animation. pending licenser approval though. So, we don't know if we're going to get that.
That was a cool animation. Let me look at the display. Okay. I want to see the I want to see the inserts. Let me see what you working with. Let me see what your inserts working with. We got what is it? Water. Uh fire. Electric. grass or maybe ground. I don't know. It's yellow. Okay. I don't know what those inserts mean. That's not obvious to me. I don't know. Maybe I'm just dumb. And then what we got up here? Um, okay. Pokeballs. There's a Charizard. Uh, what's that? That looks like a Lucario or something like that. I can't tell. Mewtwo. Okay. X combo Pikachu. I got another video with the premium gameplay. We'll go through that, too. I just wanted to see this. [music]
My voice is shot. I shouldn't be making this video right now. [laughter] This is how much I love it. I'll make a video when my voice is thrashed. This is how much This is what I do for you people. [laughter] First impressions, man. It looks pretty accessible. It looks pretty basic fan layout you got. I mean, we'll back it up here a bit so you can see what I'm talking about. But yeah, like well the next video we can let me let me go to the next video. I have another video queued up here. This guy cool toy. Cheers. Well, this guy's big name. Cheers, man. Cool Toy, if you ever uh Thanks for the He's got a premium gameplay over here. So, here's the thing. The playfield, man. Oh, [ __ ] You can't really see it from there. Hold up. Yeah, you can't see it from there. Man, I'm sorry. I'm sorry about my setup. I do what I can, okay? I'm poor. All right. And I'm applying to jobs every day. Nobody wants to call me back. I don't know. I'm not looking for sympathy from you. I'm just telling you my situation. All right? I'm not like Thirsten How the Thor the third with like toilet rolls of hundreds, [snorts] you know? Lovey, buy me a new TV. You know, it's not me. Okay, let me let me pull up the other one. I just want to show you like Hold on one second. Let's see. I'll get it. I'll get it. I'm [music] good at this. Right there. Yeah. Okay. Wait. No. I can get a better one. I can [music] get a better one. I'm trying to get the I'm trying to pause it on the playfield in this vid so you we can break break it down a little bit.
Um That's good. That's good. This will work. That'll work. [laughter] That'll That'll do. That's good enough because the other video we we'll get to see the ball moving around. That's really what we want to see. The ball moving around, how it interacts with things, what's going on. The audio is like kind of cheat. It's It's kind of what it is, man. you know, so far what I've heard, but we'll we'll hear. Everything is probably up in the air still because they got to get licenser approval. So, all the animations, dude, like all this [ __ ] we're probably going to get. I see Gomez signature over here. And then I don't know, is that Jack Danger? Maybe Gomez because that's the rumor, right? It was a Gomez Danger collab. Okay, so let's see. Play out. We got a orbit. I got a ramp. Looks like the Wheel of Fortune ramp. You guys remember Wheel of Fortune with the figure eight. Um, okay. Figure eight. Wheel of Fortune. You got a uh two two standups. One's like that. One's normal and then one's like wide but faced the other way. It's like faced on a weird way like it's going to send the ball up that way. And then there's another one that's faced the other way. Oh, I see what's going on. They face those targets towards the towards the outlanes. Yeah, I'm gonna draw because I see it. You know why? Because I see the ball. This is how like I'm going to tell you something. Like when you're playing pinball and this is just a quick side note, like in tournaments, like you shoot the ball, right? And this is what I'm I've been telling my girl lately. [cough] Excuse me. I'm sorry, guys. Bear with me on this one. I'm sorry. [sighs] So, you shoot the ball, right? You want to think about like what you're shooting and like how it's going to bounce off the target or or whatever it is you're shooting. Like say example like say for example like you're shooting at something and you miss. Okay. So, you hypothetically like you got to think like okay what's the line? So, let me I'll give you a hypothetical. So, let's say I'm shooting for this ramp with this flipper right here. right with right ramp to the left flipper. Let's say I go I go early. I miss it. Now, the way they have that target a uh angled, I'm going to go like this. I'm going to hit that and it's going to it's face like right towards the outlay. Look at that. Cuz you got to look at the line. So before I even fire, I'll see the angle of that target and I'll know, yo, that's face towards the outlane abort. You know what I mean? But look, they did that by design because think remember Stranger Things how they were both faced towards you. Look at this one, dude. It's faced towards the out lane. That's to shoot that and then it goes right over there. Look cuz watch hit. It'll hit that bank right out there. That's turned cuz normally you would hit it and it comes right back to you. They [ __ ] turned it. Evil. Evil black magic [ __ ]
All right. [laughter] And then the other one is the same way just inverted. Now if you're let's go let's go the other flipper. So now I got the ball the left and I shoot this target which is turned this way. It's it's turned like that. I'm going to hit that target and it's going to go right out. It's going to go right in that direction towards that out lane. They know what they're doing with those targets, man. They curved them like that on purpose because they want to speed up ball times and get people putting more quarters in. That's what that is. That's what I think it is. They can't be trusted, [laughter] dude. They're just Why would they be bent in such a weird way? You know what I mean? I didn't look at that the first time I saw this video. And then now I'm looking at that, I'm like, whoa. And then you got the center. The center grid is cool. It reminds me of like Junkyard. I don't know if you guys ever played Junkyard, but Junkyard has like the captive ball in the middle and you can sneak past it for the jackpot, you know. And then um we got captive ball. I'm thinking there's a target back there that the ball's going to hit. And then you got right ramp going through. There's another path right here that I think like I think there's a a ball fe a a ramp that opens up on the left and it comes around like up here. and then feeds down. That's what I'm thinking. But once we get through the video, we'll see. And then what we got over here? A right orbit and a scoop. Pretty basic, man. Pretty basic. Stern. Oh man. Maybe they're just trying I think they're just trying to make their games more accessible to like a new audience. I think that's what it is. Cuz it it's not like crazy amazing, dude. It's not like blowing my dick off, you know. And I just want it. I want it so bad. You know, you guys want it. You know, I want it. You want it. We just want to get like B Pokemon got to catch on. Come on. You know, is that so much to ask? And then I got to recover. What have you done, dude? I want to like wake up the next day thinking about this playfield. That's the way I was with Godzilla. That's the way I was with uh X-Men. That's the way I was with uh what's another danger design that he did? The Foo Fighters. I played the Foo Fighters, the premium for the first time at my buddy Ross' house. The the Unres. They're the the unruly quilter. The Unres, man. They're pretty popular in the pinball scene. But that's the first time I played the premium of Foo Fighters, and it's amazing. you go to the top. I remember the next day like for a few days after that I was like, "Yo, I want to play the Foo Fighters." That game was amazing. Like that the playfield design just spoke to me. You know what I mean? It was just something different, something fun, engaging, you know? And I was like, "Yo, this is I can I I remember like I'm saying, I woke up the next day. I'm looking at this, but I'm not I don't think I'm going to wake up tomorrow thinking about it. Like it's not grabbing me. There's nothing like crazy going on where I'm like, "Yo, the Meowth head." You know what I mean? Like, I don't know. Why can't I bash Snorlax? He's a big fat [ __ ] Let me hit him. You know, come on. What are you doing to me? You put him on the side. You didn't even give him another dimension. The fattest Pokemon, dude. You gave him one dimension. Why is Pikachu a big fat [ __ ] and Snorlax is a small thingy? You know, I don't want I'm not trying to bust your balls here. I'm just saying Snor Snorlax is a big fat [ __ ] and and Pikachu is tiny in comparison. And Pikachu is giant. Snorlax is one dimension. You didn't even bother to give him another dimension. He's flat. It's like a refrigerator magnet. Boink. Right on this side of the game. What' you do to Snorlax, man? I feel like that'd be a perfect bash toy right in the middle. just a [ __ ] fat Snorlax that comes down, you know? I don't know. I'm like I said, I'm not trying to rake it over the coals too much. Um I'm just like I would like I haven't seen it like I might see the ball moving around and oh my god, here we go. I don't know. But usually I don't know. I'm pretty good about gauging. Okay, so now we got Okay, this uh Oh, wait. This and then the center will lead. I saw that will lead over there and then a spinner. And then we got these inserts. Battle train catch disco. It might say something else, but I don't know cuz the light is blocking it. Scoop with some lights on it. Extra ball. Mystery travel battle. Travel. Okay. Well, let's see the ball moving around and we'll see what's good. All right. Here we go. So, now we'll go back to this one. Cool toy. You're doing God's work, brother. Thank you. All right, here we go. Come on.
See what we got.
It's It's over here, guys. Sorry. It's It might be hard to see.
That's why That's why I wanted to go over it like in that other video so we could kind of Now, you know, like we kind of are in the same mindset like we're kind of like, "All right." Plus, you've seen it so you guys have seen it, too. So, you're like, "All right, let's see the ball bounce around. Okay, there it is. So, he hit that left orbit. Hold up. Hold up. He hit the left orbit. Okay, there's a little ramp that came down. Okay.
And now, if this balloon can be your ride,
must bring the
figure eight ramp. Corvette. Okay. Pokemon undiscovered.
Shoot Pokédex to scan Pokemon.
Pretty straightforward.
Multiball jackpot. Jackpot.
All the animation has this pending licenser approval on the back. So, I'm not sure. And again, sorry about the size. This is the only video. This just dropped. So, I'm just going off the video I got, man. Sorry about it. All right. Multiball center.
Hit the town targets to let the outline ball save.
Super.
I think that the sound effects are a little too loud. I can't hear the music. I want to hear the music. I'd say like turn the music up, the background music, and then turn the sound effects down so we can hear the backing track and bring the guitar out more. [ __ ] bring that guitar up. Let's go. Wake the people up, man. Have you ever heard Pokemon music before?
Super jackpot.
It's got to be hard to see it from there, man. I'm sorry. Okay. I'm just trying to get a gauge of how these modes are gone.
Team Rocket shall remain unconquered.
Okay, now there's a hoppy. What dictates the Pokemon though? Like I'm trying to figure out like now there's a I think that's a hoip or whatever, but like what dictated that coming out? I don't see any inserts on the playfield or anything. Is it just random? Time for a Squirtle Squad adventure.
Plus 10 Pokeballs. Three Squirtle shots. So I final shot. Oh, you can see you can see the angles of the targets now. Like this one is bent like that. Boink. It'll send it that way. This one boink send it that way. Woo! Evil.
The Squirtle Squad has saved the day just in time for the next adventure.
You did Snorlax dirty. Yo, he's not even on this one, bro. What the [ __ ] He's not even Snortax ain't even on this copy. What the I got a Pokéball. I got a mouth head and a Pikachu. A fat Pikachu. The Snorlax isn't on the side of this one. Come on, man.
I'm not getting rocked. I want to get rocked, you know.
okay.
Team Rocket demands Pokemon.
I like the ramp. That's cool. So, okay. I'm trying to figure out how this works. So, the ball just goes up here and then this shot goes under it. I guess I'm having a hard time like understanding how that works. It looks like two orbits to me. Maybe I'm just dumb. I'll just make peace with the fact that I'm dumb and I can't figure that out. I don't get it. Like, dude, I feel like there's there's like an invisible piece of something there like lifting it up. I can't see.
Shoot the town scoop,
man. He hit the target dead on. See? Oh, he hit that target dead on.
Shoot the town scoop to collect a mystery award. I like the animations, but I don't know how many we're going to get.
Pokemon discovered.
Okay, now we got an Amber
or an apom, whatever that is.
Pikachu versus Raichu. See yellow shots. Pikachu versus Raichu.
Jackpot. Jackpot.
Super Jack.
I never understood why Pikachu took off. Pika pika. So annoying. Such annoying call, you know. Electabuzz is awesome.
Electabuzz is the [ __ ] I guarantee they're not putting them in here. Jackpot.
I'm trying to figure out like how like what Pokemon are coming in. It seems like it's just random right now. Like I saw am a a pom and a hop and on the trailer there was a Caterpie. So I wonder if it's like random or maybe it'll be like Dungeons and Dragons where it like changes every week. Yo, there's a mold trace out today. Oh my god. You got to like get a babysitter, [laughter] dude. You got to like Oh my god, THERE'S A ZAPDOS. YOU GOTTA get like a babysitter for your kids and [ __ ] [laughter] Yo, they'll probably do that. They'll probably just drop some [ __ ] at 9:00 a.m. Yo, there's a Snorlax out today. It's only going to be out today. And then the arcade just jammed up. This the line for Pokemon is 4 hours long.
He could do that. He could totally do that. Pokemon Go does that. Or uh yeah, Pokemon Go does that. All is double
and Pokemon pocket jackpot.
This seems pretty straightforward, man.
Jackpot. Jackpot. Jackpot.
I don't know, dude. It see this game seems Oh, that's a good spot to pause. This game seems pretty straightforward, man. I'm wondering like who it's for. Maybe for like people's kids cuz like fans of Pokemon like they can't afford this game, you know? I'm trying to like figure out who this is for. Like I'm glad they made it cuz I'm I'm just a big kid, you know? So I'm glad but I don't have any money. Like me being a big kid means I don't have any money, you know? [laughter] I mean [ __ ] Like I wish, you know, um like honestly if I could buy a pinball machine, I don't know if I'd buy this one, though. Like it doesn't have enough going on. Let's go back to the other shot. I think I've seen enough on the game of the ball moving around, honestly.
And I know you guys have it. You probably can't even see it from there. I'm sorry.
But again, like I'm say, I'm doing the best I can with what I got. You know what I'm saying? I'm doing the best I can. Let's go. Let's go back. I What? This is what I want to do. I want to break this down into half speed and let's play it back again. Let's play this back again. Let's see what we got going here. Right. Let's see what we got here. Right. So, first of all, in one shot, Snorlax is on there and then the other shot he's not on there. See, on this shot, he's in there. Snorlax is right there. Look, he's right there. Happy as a clam. So, why'd you take him out? Yeah. One one uh this shot has him in there and then two seconds ago he wasn't in there. So, is Snorlax in the game or is he not in the game? Either way, I'm pissed off because you know why? Snorlax should be the guy you're bashing. The big fat guy. The guy you got to w wake up with the poke flute. And that could be the way that you catch your Pokemon or whatever. You could catch the you wake him up with the Poke Flute and then you could catch them. Now I'm just like I I don't know. The mouth head like the mouth head ain't bad but I don't know. I'm just Man, he did Snorlax dirty. I'm I'm appalled by what I'm seeing here. Okay. So I'm I'm All right. Dude scanning in a Master Ball handle. All right. Okay. So the ball's coming down that way. So it must not So it must only go that way because in the game I don't think they show that. Or in this trailer I don't think they show that. But then in the other video, okay, you bash the meow, everybody has a good time, right? Ball goes up there. Pretty straightforward really. Okay, we didn't really miss much, right? Ball goes in. Yeah, the evil evil angled target we talked about. Yeah, that thing's a dick. I could tell you that's going to be Oh, that thing is going to be a dick. So, here's the Caterpie. Uh, so how are they like determining what Pokemon you're going after? Is it I wonder if it's just random or if it's just going to be like a Dungeon and Dragons kind of thing where they change it up every week. I think they should do it like, "Yo, there's gonna be a Zapdosese at 4 o'clock. From 4 to 4:30 [laughter] there's a Zapdos." And then people like, "But what? It's only a half hour long." Yeah, dude. Pokemon move around. You know, you don't know. You don't know. They got legs and wings. They move. Pokemon move. Maybe you should pick up a newspaper or something and read about it. Pokemon move around. They don't stay in the same spot. So yeah, there's a there's a target behind that Captain Ball. And then there's that trail the the ball path over there. But but we saw in the other video that it's the left orbit. But in this in this trailer, I don't see any balls going up there that feed that. So it's hard to tell, you know. There you go. Yeah. Let me see. Let me let me just go right here. That's where I want to take it from. Right there. That's the best shot. Yeah, right there. There you go. Again, thanks for bearing with me. I'm sure people click off when they see, oh, this guy's a dick. Look at him. He's got the small V. It's like, dude, I do what I can, man. I like, you know, it is what it is, man. I try. I should learn how to do like direct in and all that all that stuff. May maybe sometime soon I'll learn all that, man. how to I'm sure I can pick it up quick, man. And then like I'll have the camera like right here. Hi folks. Let's get deep in this and then we'll like scalpel, you know, I'll have a scalpel on it. But I think for now this isn't bad, man. We'll work on what we got, you know? [ __ ] it. I like the giant Pokeball. I'd rather like shoot into the Pokeball, though. The giant Pokeball. I kind of want to shoot into it, you know? Like I wish instead of a scoop, like they somehow turned a scoop into the like they turned a Pokeball into a scoop somehow. Like and it opened up and then you shot into the Pokeball. Like that would have been dope instead of just a regular scoop that John Youssi on every [ __ ] game known to man, you know? I'm sorry, guys. Like I'm I'm happy. Trust me, dude. I'm happy. I've I've You know what? You want to know the truth about it? I've never been happier. This is the greatest day of my life. If you want to know the truth about it, you know why? Cuz I woke up today. [laughter] Yeah, dude. I didn't know they were going to put a Pokemon out. I just like I opened up my internet and there it was. Here we go. This is amazing, dude. I'm glad they made it. It's cool. I think it's going to have potential, man. I think kids are going to love it. I think it's going to be great. I think it's going to be hopefully I think Stern is just trying to like they're make these games aren't for us, man. These games are more for like they're trying to get a new audience, you know? So you got to like understand that like once like see I used to like games like this would come out and I'm like yo where's the where's the loop the dupes and then where's the like creativity and the like like I've seen all we've all seen this stuff before man you know in different pinball machines you know like the left orbit we've seen a million times it's literally the left orbit on Star Wars you know the left ramp is uh what do you call it uh Wheel of Fortune and then the middle's junkyard. I got a captive ball you've seen a million times and then a right ramp that you've seen and it's it's pretty much all generic, man. But, you know, it's all good. Maybe I think but it shoots easy. So, I think that's what they want, man. They want like games that shoot easy, but games that shoot easy but could trip you up just as easy. That's why they curve the targets like that. So, you think you're good. It ls you in. It's like a siren leading you into the rocks. You think everything's and then your world is destroyed, you know, and then you're doomed, you know, and then that's what happens. So, I think that's what happened here. Like, like it gets you into this liness like, "Oh, yeah, I'm going." And then you hit the target and it's it takes a weird angle. That's what I'm saying, man. Think about like before going back to what I said earlier in the video, think about like your shots before you shoot them. Like if you could see that coming like you could you could angle it and think about a different way, you know? But yeah, man. I mean the loop to loop. Okay. But we've seen it. I've seen it before, man. You know, we've seen it before. I don't know, man. There's nothing really there that's like ah making me like I said like that wake up the next day. That's the best analogy. I could go back to that earlier in the video when I said that. I woke up the next day thinking about Godzilla, thinking about uh uh what was it? Foo Fighters, X-Men was one. Um other danger games or I'm sorry, other L1 games like uh Jurassic Park. I woke up like, yo, I want to play this game. It's the same feeling like when you write like as a songwriter like you write a good riff or you're working on a piece of music that's working and you wake up with it in your head and you're like yo I want to and then it's like you just wake up and it's like bing it's in your mind you know that's the same feeling I get with the pinball when there's a banging pinball I'm like yo cuz this one I know I'm not going to wake up tomorrow like I said I know I'm not going to wake up tomorrow and be like yo I want to go play Pokemon. Like even looking at that right now, I'm like, "Yo, if I went out now and we're in a hot city, we're in Denver, Colorado." Like they get I don't know how, but they get pins out here like real fast. Like new new pins. If you told me, "Yo, we found one tonight, but there's an hour wait." I'd be like, "I'm good. I think I'd be good on it." Honestly, I think I'd be good. I wouldn't want to wait that hour. I think I'm all right. I'm chilling. Like, it doesn't look like anything that's going to challenge us like a season. Like if you're watching this and you're a seasoned player, which I think I think a lot of you wa like people that watch me maybe are, you like a seasoned player, man. You've been working on your game and stuff like that. You probably got some pans like this, this game probably won't speak to you, man, cuz it you'll probably get bored with it pretty quick. It looks like a real easy shooter, you know, and um but you know, it's like I said, it's for maybe for new audiences. So maybe like kids will get like people can buy it. Yeah. Like for I bought it for my son and then it's something like their son can share with them to get them into pinball. So that's a cool thing like you can get it like yo I bought it for my kid. My kid loves it and the kid will get into it because it's the easy shooter. So the kid will appreciate it more. Maybe be cuz if the kid had to grow up yo I had to grow up with data east games like Jurassic Park and [ __ ] like that. uh lethal weapon and those games are hard. If if you had if the kids nowadays if you had to grow up with games like that, you'd just be like this game sucks, you know, and just like do something else. There's too much competition. I mean, you got your phone right here, you got anything. You got the internet, you got and the 90s wouldn't have that competition. So, I had to stick in there because that was all there was. But now there's too much competition. So, um I think it's for trying to branch out to a new audience. But it's a cool thing, man. I'll flip it when I get when I see it. But like I said, I won't wait in line for it and I won't wake up thinking about it. So that's that's not my heart hurts. I want it to be a banger. I'm still waiting for a banger, you know? But I can tell like that's not completely Jack Danger design, man. That looks too like generic. That that that design that we saw go like who who was it? Gomez. I'm gonna ask Grock. I'm pretty sure it was Jack Danger and uh Gomez, right? Let's see if Grock knows who designed the new uh what's the name of it? Oh yeah, Pokemon. [laughter] POKEMON GOT TO CATCH THEM. I already forgot the name of the goddamn game. [laughter] Who designed the new Pokemon pinball machine? The names of the design is. Here we go. Let's see what Grock says. Grock is searching. Let's see what it says. Um, I think it says something about Jack Danger and George Gomez, but it's still looking. When you search niche things on Grock, it usually takes a second, but I'm seeing George Gomez. Like, it's searching George Gomez and Jack Danger. Okay. New Pokemon pinball officially titled Pokemon by Stern was designed by Jack Danger and George Gomez. Okay. Uh, confirmed by Pinsideah handle much. Uh Jack Danger, Rising Stern designer known over titles like X-Men and Foo Fighters, handled much of the initial layout while Gomez uh contributed significantly possibly finishing or co-leading the project. H uh yeah, I don't know, man. Like to me it just seems like too too generic to be a Jack Danger. I mean, dude, like look at Foo Fighters. Look at X-Men, you know? Like, I don't know, man. Like, there's stuff in there like that. No, like that's not in any other game. And then we got this one. Like, I don't know, man. It just seems a little tame to me. It seems like I It's like I'm not saying it's bad. I'm just saying like that like I don't know. It's not great. It's not amazing. [snorts] But just watch, man. Just watch all the hype videos that come out. The new Pokemon. You guys are going to love it. That's what these people do, man. All these content creators, bro. They make these videos. You guys are going to love it. You're going to love it. It's Let me tell you why. They'll come out. Like, I guarantee somebody's going to come out dressed like Ash Ketchum. Mark my words, bro. And then when you when you hear it or when John Youssi it, come back here and and let me know in the com how did you know? Did you travel through time to watch the videos of the future? No, I did not. Someone will come out dressed as Ash Catchum or a Pokemon or They're just trying to hype you guys up, dude. To put your credit card down or whatever, you know, sell a kidney or however you're going to make it to buy this game. Like, dude, we should buy it. Should be like, just think of Godzilla, man. Like, you didn't like they didn't really have to sell that. We just looked at the building. We looked at the rails, dude. We looked at, you know, a lot of things, dude, and we were like, yo, okay, I'm I might be in on this one, you know? I don't know, man. It's It seems like the more hype that comes out, the more I'm like, [gasps] it's [snorts] like the more [ __ ] in the air. I'm like, why are these guys trying so hard to get me to like go on this game, you know? That's why like I could never I I never be one of them, man. I'm never going to go to the factory. I'm never doing the media ever. Never ever am I doing any of that, bro. I'm not a yes man. I'm not going to do it. I'm going to be honest. I I'd be honest right away. I'd tell you. I'd be like, you know what? I think this game needs some love. I think it needs some work. I think I think we could put some other things in here. I think it feels like it's a miss. It's a little barren. Like it missing some. Like I think if that had like one or two more things, it might it might pop. It might work. Like I don't know. like one or two more shots. Maybe like something going on different up the middle other than the Meowth thing and the targets. Yeah, maybe it's the targets. The targets kind of boring to me. The three the the two sets of three. Maybe if those were like two ramp shots that could do something or like some targets that you hit and drop to expose a shot. A ramp that you could shoot to bash the Snorlax. Let me get to him. Let me get to him. Why can't you give me what I want? I just want to bash a Snorlax in the face. Well, it kind of It's like Pokemon lore. Like, you didn't bash the Snorlax in the game, in the original game, but you woke him up with the Poke Flute and then you you challenged him. So, you did battle the Snorlax. You woke him up because he blocked your path. You couldn't cross. And anybody that knows the original game knows exactly what I'm talking about right now. If you don't know the original Game Boy game, you're like, "What is this dude talking about?" But you couldn't pass the route unless you woke up Snorlax. That was the way you had to go. So, I think it's it would be cool if you like did that in the game. Like there's something where you got to wake him up or something, you brought Snorlax in. And so, instead of making them a one-dimensional refrigerator magnet on the side that's here today, gone tomorrow. In one shot, it's there, the next shot it's not. Dude, in the same trailer it was there. It wasn't there and then it was there and then it wasn't there again. In the same trailer, like it was I don't get it. Like that might be the thing for me. What if I'm crazy? What if I'm nuts? I will buy that game based on the fact that there's a $14 magnet on the side or not. You don't know me. I'm insane. You don't know me. What if I'm like a billionaire who's like, that's my caveat. Oh, there's no Snorlax. No, I'm out. But you can buy one from No, I don't care. I don't care. No Skinner Lex, no deal. You don't know me. I could be crazy. I don't know. At the end of the day, okay, what do I think? It's okay. Not bad. I'll flip it when it comes out. I'm curious to see what you guys think about it. And uh like I said, I'm not like blown away, but I don't think it's like bad, but I don't think it's great, you know? I think it's just so so. But I think it's for like newer players. I think it's for younger audience and newer players. Maybe people like us who have kids and you could buy it for your kid, man. And and that's and this is the thing. It's a good way for you and your kid to bond and get into something together. I could appreciate that. I could appreciate that cuz like like I always wish like me and my dad had something like that we could bond in. And pinball he never got into. He just never just never got into it with me. But I feel like we would have had a tighter relationship if we had that thing. So my hats off to you you guys out there buying it for you and your kid, man, to get close. Like that's great, man. Big up on that. So on that one, that's a good one. So yo, but I'm curious to see what you guys think, man. That's all I got. That's all I got to say about it, man. I think it's cool. We got more videos coming, I'm sure. Don't buy into the hype, though, man. You saw what happened with Beetlejuice. Wait for it to come out. Wait for more videos. wait for the pending licensing approval to go away so you can see what's actually going to be in there. And we don't know if that audio is pending licensing approval either. So that audio might not even be in there either. But the one advice I'll give on the audio, man, is bring the sound effects down and bring the background music up so we can hear. You want to hear the track constantly. That's the one thing with Pokemon music is so good. Pokemon music is amazing. And um the one thing you want to do is bring the track up. Yeah. And bring them sound effects down so you can keep the beat going while you're playing. You know what I'm saying? But on that note, much love everybody. And uh take it easy, man. I just wanted to put a new one up for the world. God bless everybody. Peace.
