## Analysis

RetroRalph provides a tour of his home arcade collection in 2022, showing both garage and indoor arcade machines. The video is interrupted multiple times by circuit breaker trips due to power overload from running all machines simultaneously. He showcases approximately 30+ arcade cabinets in various states of repair and operation, including classic titles like Sinistar, Golden Axe, The Simpsons, Neo Geo, and pinball machines like Stranger Things and Baby Pac-Man.

### Key Claims

- [MEDIUM] Almost every machine in the garage is functional at the time of the tour — _Jon states 'almost every machine is functional in the garage right now, which is very exciting' but this is immediately undermined by circuit breaker trips during filming_
- [HIGH] The Jelco Pony 4/Mark 4 is running an actual FPGA — _Jon explicitly states 'This is running an actual FPGA' when introducing the arcade cabinet_
- [HIGH] Narc has a new 19-inch medium res CRT from Sharp Rivage Repair in Vegas — _Jon states 'Narc is awesome because Narc has the new 19 inch medium res CRT that we got from Sharp Rivage Repair out in Vegas'_
- [HIGH] The Grid marquee was sourced from Galloping Ghost Reproductions — _Jon states 'we got the marquee from uh from Galloping Ghost Reproductions that was awesome mad props to Galloping Ghost Reproductions'_
- [HIGH] Jon recently returned from Pinball Expo and found it to be a very positive experience — _Jon states 'I just got back from Pinball Expo, I was beat' and 'I have nothing, nothing else to say about Pinball Expo other than it was freaking epic'_

## Transcript

Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. It's been a long time since we did a garage tour update, so that's what we're going to do right now. We're going to go out to the garage, I'm going to show you all the machines as they exist today, and then we're going to end up back in the home arcade. So let's go. So we're going to get out here, and we're going to go out to the garage. So believe it or not, almost every machine is functional in the garage right now, which is very exciting, but we're going to show you that right now. All right, let's start right here, and the power Went out. I must have tripped the breaker. No joke. These were all just on a second ago. Okay. Let's go over to the breaker box and see if we can turn it back on. Okay. I think. All right. Let's see. No. Oh, there's one. Okay, so that, let's see, that should start to... Well, I was asked one time how much power all this stuff takes. Apparently, I can't, I haven't had anything, everything running in a long time. All right, there it is. Let's do the, let's do the tour quickly. But yeah, so everything's running. The Sinistar cockpit, we'll go through everything one by one, but I think it's really funny that we tripped the breaker, but it's all good. See live video what could go wrong all right let's go in and check it out, so When you walk into the arcade the first arcade John Youssi is my new Jelko pony 4 or mark 4 this is running a this is running an actual FPGA so we'll have to we'll have to put a game on so let's see I had a game on already, but obviously Something happened there so with the power What did I have on? I think I was playing Forgotten Worlds, a game that I like very much but don't play that often. Here, I'll put that back on. Alright, so we'll go back to that. But we got the Sinistar cockpit right here, and it's working. You know, I obviously need to do some rehab on it, but you can see it's working. and I put the LED lights into the control panel there. You can see that right there. All right. We got Golden Axe. Golden Axe is a new addition. I haven't had a chance to do a video on Golden Axe yet, but Golden Axe is looking bright and tight. There is one problem with the Golden Axe, and I tell you guys that later With the Smash TV the Simpsons the marquee went out on it in a private video which really sucks but I fix that it just a bulb but we about to do a full rehab on the Simpsons soon so we'll have that done then over here we got the day so now the beautiful thing about the Daytona is that the um what was I gonna say that it's awesome and it's a tone I don't know I forgot was gonna say then you got an arc now narc is awesome because narc has the new 19 inch medium res CRT that we got from sharp rivage repair out in Vegas so that's killer next to that you have my Namco 20-year reunion which is miss pac-man Galaga so that's awesome that guy's right there then you get the silver strike that one has the marquee out on it too but I'll get to that in a little bit but this one's fully working too it's on um it's on free play so I get a lot of play out of that I really enjoy Silver Strike I always told people if there's like an arcade you want to put in your house that your family will play Silver Strike Bowling is an awesome game for that because it's you can play up to four players it's super fun take turns right next to that is the grid as you guys saw in a prior video we got the marquee from uh from galloping ghost reproductions that was awesome mad props to galloping ghost reproductions for doing that for me next to that we got the neo geo now the neo geo is running this guy is running xeno crisis so if you look inside and let me flip this down for you if you look inside this guy is running xeno crisis inside so pretty cool it's actually a really great arcade game like this game was out for a ton of different platforms but it translates real well to the arcade the only bummer is it's a twin stick shooter oh shit the power just went out guys oh my gosh that's awesome power went out again i've never run everything on this single circuit and apparently it can't handle all of it all right even though it's against my better judgment i'm going to turn it back on so we can finish the tour. I might burn the house down, I don't know, but we'll see. Okay, so let's go back out to the breaker and we'll turn it back on again. It's a bummer that this keeps happening, but hey, what can you do? All right we got garage breaker We going to finish the tour though I swear Garage breaker right here Ed Boon I can hear everything booting back up Okay hopefully it boot up enough time Oh, look at this, it's all back. Okay, let's finish the tour here. Okay, I think we looked at the Smash TV, so we got the Smash TV. We got the Simpsons. Like I said, we have the Neo Geo running Xenocrisis, which is awesome. The grid. And we didn't get a chance to go over here. The Roadrunner's still down. You know how I feel about that. Oh, Roadrunner. F*** this piece of shit. This is this ultimate arcade Chicago gaming thing. Don't even worry about that. But yeah, we got the War Final Assault. I don't know if I've ever really highlighted that topper on the channel, but the topper is sick for this thing. I didn't have that before. I ended up getting that. So there's my two war final assaults. These are networked. I featured those at ZapCon last year. And then the Road Blasters is in need of the finished, finished, my camera's pointing the wrong way. Road Blasters needs to get finished, but you can see it's all working. It's tough to tell from the screen that's in there, but it's all working and stuff. And then the Sinistar, the Sinistar is over there, which you saw earlier. All right, but what we're going to do now is we're going to go inside and I'll show you guys the systems inside. Now, hopefully that breaker, I don't think that, oh shit, I don't think that breaker on this side of the arcade is a little bit rough. There's a, why am I pointing the camera up at my feet? I haven't figured out this gimbal yet. I have a gimbal with my DSLR on it and it's kind of weird. But anyways, all right, we're going to go in now and I'll show you guys the games that are running inside. I think I've pretty much showed you all those, but let's go back in. Okay, we're the final stretch of the tour. Now, many of you don't know this, but I work in this room. So that is my desk that I work at. You can take a look at it right now. There's a change machine that I never covered on the channel right here. There's a really funny video of this. I'll see if I can pull the footage from it. Okay, hold on, hold on. What the hell? Why did it do that? Why did it do that? Guys, I gotta go. Oh yeah there my desk so you can see where I kinda do work in some of my live streams And then over here in the corner, before we get to the arcade games, is the Stranger Things. So the Stranger Things gets a lot of love because it's right next to my desk. Often times, because I work from home now, if I'm taking a break I'll go check out and hang out on the Stranger Things, play a couple games and stuff, which is cool. But yeah, the rest of the tour, you've probably seen most of these games before. You got the Terminator 2, the baby Pac-Man, which I freaking love. I love this baby Pac-Man. It's one of my favorite games that I have in my collection. It's super fun. It's a little hard to get good at it at first, but once you do, it's really fun and everyone really loves it. You got the Blitz 99, my big blue Street Fighter 2 Champion Edition right there. I love that machine. You got the Satan's Hollow and the Sinistar. That's pretty much the whole tour. I didn't go into the storage locker. We'll do that on another video. Qbert's in the storage locker. Robotron or my Williams Multi's in the storage locker. There's a dead Data East cabinet in there. There's my Gorf Cabaret and a couple more that are escaping me right now. And there might be a couple more coming in the next couple days. I don't know. I can't confirm or deny that. but a couple more coming. But yeah, that's it. I'm sorry this is such a short video. I haven't really had a chance. As I got back from Pinball Expo, I was beat. I like basically laid on the couch for two days. It was so much fun. Thank you to everybody who came up and said hi and hung out during the show. It was awesome. Yeah, I just, I have nothing, nothing else to say about Pinball Expo other than it was freaking epic. And if you get a chance to go there next year, definitely check it out. Anyways, guys, I apologize for the short video. We'll get back to regular produced content next week but I figured I'd do something for you guys anyways that's it guys if you enjoyed the video give me a thumbs up consider subscribing to the channel and put your comments below when you think about the arcade machines about the garage cage probably I just heard the trailer the breaker trip so it's probably in the dark right now but that's it for now guys we will see you all the next one thanks so much for checking out this video if you liked it why don't you check out another and hopefully I'll see you in the next video.
