## Analysis

Tutorial gameplay of Venom Pro pinball focusing on core mechanics: grid completion through solid/flashing shot combos, mini-mode spotting via skill shots, character-based battle progression with leveling, and multiball locks. Host demonstrates beginner-friendly gameplay flow and explains how different characters (Eddie Brock, Hulk, Flash Thompson) affect lock availability and battle difficulty scaling.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] Solid shots turn into flashing combos that must be hit to complete the grid — _Tutorial demonstration showing actual gameplay mechanics_
- [HIGH] Minimum level 10 required to fight Phage; minimum level 20 to fight Grendel — _Host explicitly states level requirements during gameplay_
- [HIGH] Skill shot 'Spotlight Foundation' spots a mini-mode, lighting one required shot instead of three — _Host demonstrates selecting this skill shot and its effect_
- [HIGH] Completing row quadrants on the grid unlocks playfield multipliers (flamethrower, 2x combos, extra time) — _Host explains quadrant completion benefits and shows active multipliers during gameplay_
- [HIGH] Eddie Brock character has two locks lit by default; other characters require mini-mode completion to light locks — _Host explicitly states this character-specific lock mechanic_
- [HIGH] Grendel battle is four stages; host only reached stage 1.5 at level 20 — _Host counts stages during actual Grendel battle attempt_
- [MEDIUM] Battle progress loss differs by character: Hulk only loses one lane completion after battle vs losing all progress — _Host observes this during gameplay but expresses some uncertainty ('looks like')_
- [HIGH] Flip n Out Pinball has Venom Pro in stock with free shipping; LE and Premium spots available — _Direct inventory announcement during tutorial_

## Transcript

All right, here's your tutorial, which means I'm gonna train pretty quick. Don't call your shots. All right, so what John Youssi is there are three lit shots at the moment. Blue, white, yellow. They're solid. If you hit a solid shot, it's then going to turn another shot of the same color, but it's going to be flashing, and it's a combo that you have to hit. And that's how you complete your grid. So it's always yellow, blue, white, I think. So we'll see here. Skill shots you pick with the left flipper. You can see it right up there. I always select the skill shot that says Spotlight Foundation to spot a mini-mode. By doing so, it makes one of them flash. That means I only have to hit that one time. If I hit that one time, it's going to spot my shot. Because I miss everything entirely. But I should be able to backhand that. There we go. So the fact that I hit that, it spotted my yellow shot. so my yellow one is solid but John Youssi blue is flashing and white is flashing so for me to get white let me hit the flashing white or not he's just shot in the game there we go there we go awesome awesome i love that it's that nice consistent feed that i was talking about you know just yeah A go. We'll get there. So what you're going to see on mine is I have two of mine lit. So I only have one left. So if I actually select my skill shot of spotting me a mini mode, and I hit the mini mode. There it is. See, like, that wasn't clunky at all. See, now the fact that I've completed my three mini modes, that allows me to move up the ladder so now John Youssi phage is lit and the reason I can play phage is because I'm over level 10 I'm at level 20 so if I hit the middle ramp I will start a battle with phage otherwise if you don want to do that if you don want to start a battle you can change your host You can see change host is lit here on this shot And that how that goes So why would you want to change a host Well, let's say I want to complete all the guys. Or, this grid, if I complete a row next to it, then it will spot you the quadrants. So if I complete these two bottom modes here, then I would get the flamethrower for the rest of the ball. But I'm going to go ahead and try to fight Phage. There we go. So now I'm in phage. Phage? Phage? Alright, so I'm guessing red shots. Red shots damaged it. His life bar is probably pretty low. So then you have to hit a yellow shot to go to the next phase. they're always going to be on a lock shot so that's one phase phase done of phage did he get away? no so it wanted me to hit the right now I'm literally hitting shots that are blinking at me there we go that's a red shot so that should be damage ah come on the easiest shot in the game there we go so because I'm level 20 that that fight was actually relatively easy like that that that battle takes a lot more shots when you're at a lower level and the lowest level you can be to fight him is 10 so that's one more guy done so being that I have this path done and phage done that means grindle is lit so I can bite I can fight the dragon right now if I hit the start button or if you wanted to like power up your guy more before you get into the battle that's where you would want to change your host on this shot hopefully this is making sense so here we go we're gonna go up the middle so we're fighting the dragon now so remember the lowest level that you can fight Grendel is 20 and I think about 21 21 So this battle is actually going to be pretty hard I don think I beat Grendel until I was level 40 or something when I beat Grendel the first time So really, what I would say is, any of the blue shots will hurt it, but the red ones are going to hurt it a lot more. So that's why I'm prioritizing the red shots. And, oh, ball save, thank goodness. But, I mean, I've hit a lot of shots, and Grindle still has a lot of life left. There's the sound that I leveled up. Oh, my ball save's on. Why am I even moving the game? Uh-oh, things are flashing because I haven't hit a shot. Oh, no. Oh, that gave it to me. It gave it to me? Okay. And... Oh, no. There we go. So there's phase one done. Do I have an idea if the stern is... I think they have. So the bell shot, which is the shot in the middle, is what gives you more time. So you definitely want to be good at hitting that shot. There's a clunk. And now you can see a lot less shots are lit. That was kind of clunky. No, I should have seen that coming. So Grendel is four stages. I did all those shots and I got through one and a half that's because I'm low I'm only level 20 but the more I play these characters the higher I'm gonna level up that makes sense so I I need to battle lasher get my XP up even more and then get back into us flipping out has a venom pro in stock free shipping le spots are available in premium spots as well oh and as jared would say your local supplier your local supplier straight down the flipping network yeah check out if you're not a subscriber to this channel on youtube do it zach actually started making some shorts from clips from the show and they're pretty great. So locks, if you're wondering about multiballs, locks are the green arrows. So depending on what character you pick, will light or not light locks. So the Eddie Brock character has two locks lit by default. Otherwise, depending on getting through the little mini modes, will actually help you pick light locks. Oh, I don't want to switch my host. I want to stay with Hulk. I hit the left shot. So Grendel is now good to go in the middle ramp because I did my two-path. But because I have completed quadrants, I have one-times play field going and I have extra time going. If you technically, if I change my character and did that quadrant, I could also have flamethrower and two-times combos. Like you could max out that grid if you really wanted to before you go into a battle. Oh, interesting. Okay, so that's the thing. when you battle a character, you lose your progress. But it looks like on Hulk, because I had to complete two lanes, it only makes you lose one of them. Do John Youssi how that is still lit? So that actually means if I actually pick this character, Flash Thompson, I can just go straight into Grendel because it's already lit. So let's go ahead and do that. Thank you.
