Wow, this was much closer than normal to the launch of the game. This afternoon, Stern Pinball revealed new accessories for its recently released The Walking Dead Remastered pinball machine.

The new topper is based on the game's original topper from back in 2014. It contains redecorated zombie sculpts and art and new lighting, including 45 LEDs to give the illusion that the tank is filled with water. A new integrated progress bar helps players keep track as of their progress as they progress through the game. The topper is also going to unlock an exclusive mode in the future called "Fishtank Frenzy" The topper is priced at $999.99.

The illuminated Zombie Head Shooter Knob includes a multicolored LED that lights up the zombie's eyes, nose and mouth. It is priced at $199.99.

Also available are Inner Art Blades for $99.99 and side armor for $269.99. The side armor can be upgraded with external cabinet Expression Lighting.

As far as I can tell, all of the accessories are available now, other than the shooter rod which is expected to be released in January 2026.

I have one other news item that I've been considering writing about lately. For the past several weeks, there has been a rumor out there that the well-known maker of home arcade cabinets Arcade1Up is closing. Other than the rumors, I haven't seen any proof that this is actually the case...of course other than a disturbing lack of new products from the Company. Well, this week someone shared what appears to be an internal Arcade1Up e-mail on Reddit that appears to confirm that the Company is indeed ceasing operations.

That is one serious fall from grace for Arcade1Up. Founded back in 2018, at one point it was selling cabinets like gangbusters. Someone needs to do a case study on how the Company messed that up.

I will share any additional information on the situation that I come across.
