## Transcript

Yo, fellow shenaniganders. What is going on? It is Sunday and I am heading over to the Grazley Garage. First, I am meeting fellow shenanigander Brent. Good enough or good now or good new, however you say that. He's currently renting my Iron Maiden and he's going to meet me at the Fork River Brewing Place where we play all our tournaments and we're going to swap. He's going to take Stranger Things with him. We're going to set up Iron Maiden back in the lineup. So, we're going to do a little swap and then head over to the Grazley Garage. And I am bringing for Kevin, see this cardboard box right here? In there is a Williams warning label screening kit. So, instead of taping off all the letters at the back of the machine, you know, the yellow warning label stuff and like painting around it, Kevin is now upping his game and he's going to do like full screening on the back of the machines now. So, we're going to bring that over to him. Uh, quick side note, Julie and I went to Maple Pinball last night, which they have a YouTube channel now, so you should check that out. Also reminds me, Neon Ranch out in BC. They had to um change venues. They were only at their current venue for like a year or two and then they had to like start from scratch. So, they're doing Neon Ranch 2.0 and uh they also just started a YouTube channel, so you should check that out as well. But anyway, Julie and I went to Maple Pinball last night to play in the fun flip frenzy tournament. So, that was cool. There was 42 players. I took third place, so I'm very happy with that. I got 65 bucks, and I'll get a few whoppers for that. After the tournament, we went over to Adriano's place, aka Drano. That's where we picked up the screen kit. And so, I'm going to bring that over to Kevin's after we do the swap. I'm excited to show Brent the Grazley Garage and Kevin's excited to get the screen kit. So, that's what's happening. We'll see you soon. I'm Mike Dus and this is Pinball Shenanigans. All right, here is the current lineup at Fork River. We got Genie, Stranger Things is leaving. And these ladies are very sad about that. Rush, Jaws, Road Kings, and Stars. So, and then Iron Maiden is going back in the lineup. So, you should come to Fork River and play some pinball. Okay, I made it to the Grazley Garage. What is up, brother? Let's see what you got going on. Oh, I said it wasn't raining. I lied. It is. Okay. So, ah, we got some Slugfest happening in here. Cabinet is been fixed up. Was it uh in need of lots of love or was it It wasn't too too bad. Okay. Um not not a crazy amount of bondo involved. No, it was just super faded. Oh, yeah. Unlike a lot of disassembly. That's pretty cool to see all disassembled. It's a very unique looking cabinet. Mhm. And then we got the back door. There's a couple back doors. Oh, top door. Cuz I remember when I had one of these to LED it, you had to like access like 17 different spots to get it all the LEDs like some here, some there. This is whatever Bruce had in there. Oh, is it? Well, it's exciting. I I'm totally stoked to see what a restored Slugfest looks like. Did you get a lead on a uh topper? Have a topper. You have a topper. Okay. Yeah. And then a new like panel coming. Yeah. I got pretty much everything coming, I hope. Oh, yeah. The decals. You said JC is going to bring them. Yep. And I already have the control panel over the way. Right on. So yeah, that that's actually the netting part, but it was like the what part? What do we got here? Do this netting. Oh, cool. But all the the black vinyl was coming off. So So you peeled off the vinyl and painted it kind of thing. Yeah. So that goes right at the back here somewhere. Oh, okay. To catch the home runs. Very nice. Yeah, this is looking good. Making good progress on this. I mean, you haven't been working on this long. Few days, it feels like. Yeah. Well, weighs the parts for $6 million, man. So, Oh, yeah. So, I needed uh like all the parts that were missing. Take a peek under the skirt there. Okay. This is just It's everything's unbolted. I just got to slide it all over. So, but John's bringing all that stuff Thursday, too. Okay. Well, let's go venture over to the arcade. Uh boys are over there hanging out. We brought uh some fellow shenaniganders, Brent and Matt, to check out the arcade for the first time. And uh Dutch is in here. I think they're uh playing some Popeye. Here's the playfield for Slugfest. Oh, why don't you open up your um screening kit and take a look at that. Here is the paint. The secret code is 59 LF134 medium yellow. And uh here it is. So we have a new You are pro. Now I don't even know how this works. Oh, so this is a different warning label for the lower cabinet. And that is the back obviously. And then do you need a Yeah, the rubber things or whatever these are. Sweeper. Is that what it's called? Squeegee. There's the squeegee. Oh, neat. Look at that. So that's like a big rubber uh edge there and you just kind of and uh way you go. That's pretty neat. Okay, so professional. You're going to pro now, dude. This is what uh you have been doing, which is perfectly sufficient. Why you spin that around and we can show the difference. It's so Kevin like meticulously from here. Can you even tell? I didn't think so. Tapes off every single sentence one at a time. And if you look real close, you can kind of see the edge there. But who's even going to look at that? It's at the back of the machine. Nonetheless, you're going uh screen finally. And uh so yeah, speaking of which, this is the Tales of Arabian Nights progress. Cabinet is all fixed up, painted, decaled. I mean, it wasn't in bad shape to begin with, but it was nice. It was super painted. Oh, okay. Yeah, the colors on this are just very vibrant. So, have a look at that. Pretty much all the pinball action I got things. And uh this is what the original looks like. Where did it go? Right here. So this one's in good shape, but this is just uh that much more vibrant. And then um you are finished with the Medusa. This turned out beautiful. Last time we saw this, there was a few lighting issues that were resolved. These flipper bats were uh the old ones. So now we got the new ones in there with the uh purple text. Drop target issues are resolved. Everything is good to go on this. Hey Dutch, why don't you play a quick game of Medusa for fun? The finished product. So what do you guys think? Sean, I get to see it before you, buddy. Oh yeah. Take that, Sean. Why don't you play? Actually give it a first go before Sean. Sure. You know how to play, right? I don't remember. Actually, there's three buttons. You got this. Oh, yeah. That's right. Don't forget about the third button. No. One more. So, you got to tell him what the third button does or what. I know what it does. Brent knows. See if I can use it. You need more gorgons. You need more gorgon. Sean is going to be a happy camper. And you guys go to Sean's from time to time, right? Yeah. Play some pinball. So, yeah, we go there quite often. Yeah, he's got a nice collection. He's got what, 30 machines or something in like five different rooms. Check out the the zipper flipper action now. I love the transparent rubbers on those. Yeah. Let's crank it up a notch. Play ball, Matt. Yeah. Matt, why don't you give it a ball? All right. So, Brent got basically 100,000. This is our third button. Yeah. Let's see if you can uh target one up Brent. Hey Matt, you got to get 100,000 points to beat Brent. Pressure's on here. The whole world is watching. All the All the All the more ser What? Dutch, you're fired. What? That's Kevin's fault. He put those in. All right. Got a little sticky rollover button. It's all that it's all the clear coat on the brand new playfield. You got to like meticulously You got to meticulously file every single groove to get rid of the clear coat. Oh. Oh, I don't know. Oh, that's close. You guys almost scored the exact same amount of points. So, Dutch, you're going to have to be the uh rubber match. In fact, yeah, if you score more than 100,000 points, you're the winner. Good luck. I'm not going to. I'm not very good at this game. I play good games, you know. Well, you do. Dissing Medusa. He's such a '90s Williams snob, though. You know, I play Sterns like White Stars. Yeah. Well, you're Ripley's. Believe it or not, it's a good game. Best Stern. You don't love like Big Indian. Wasn't that your favorite game? It was great. Lucky Ace was better. Just hanging in with the guys has been great. All right, you got 220,000 points. I need to hit 300 to get it. Yeah, 300. Oh, well, we don't know who won between Brent and Matt, but it was close. Wait, bonus. I came pretty close, too. Yeah, not too bad. I'd call that a tie. Three tie. Yeah, three-way tie. Good job, boys. Yeah, you're all winners here. Oh, yeah. Check this out. We got some new signage in the arcade. Jumbo Video Game Center. This is awesome. I remember. Love that. And then I guess there was a lot of people competing for this one here. This is the 7-Eleven like with the profile sign here. I guess Kevin won this in a battle against 40 people on Facebook Marketplace. I think it was Rob that got it. Rob Vieira. So, the guy chose Rob Vieira to sell it to, but Rob just passed it over to Kevin. Yeah. Okay. Either way, it ended up here at the garage. And this is an awesome sign. I mean, kind of running out of space a little bit. Almost. We have an almost identical one, but it's just flat, right? Yeah. So, this one's way cooler. Are you going to sell maybe sell the the flat one then? I don't know. It's over there behind me. Oh, shout out to uh Tom Slammer who gave you guys the Safe Cracker manual. And what is this all about? Bullseye Redemption with a kick. Why is this out here? And why is this like I think we got it as well. Oh, maybe Slamma gave that to you, too. Pretty neat. I wasn't here. You'll get a kick out of it. All right. Do we want to play a little Safe Cracker? Where were all those fun UI messages? Got to wait for those again. We were just reading the now. Now I wasn't recording though. I'll wait. Can I go backwards? Oh, now we got to wait all over again. Pray. Who? I can't read. Okay, what do we got? What do we got? Win magic tokens. Collect them all. Dutch. This one's yours. Bally, we missed it. Hold on. Hey, I got I'm issuing a No, I missed it. Get to the vault. Okay. I'm issuing a challenge to you boys. Yes, sir. You guys play a split flipper game of Safe Cracker. Throwing down and you got to get to the vault. Left or right? Let's start these boys up. All right. Okay. They're they're they're strategizing. They're strategizing. Chance pull his Okay, here we go. Brent on the left, Matt on the right. So, the challenge is to get to the vault. Okay, and and that involves playing this and then getting up here and then you got to like work your way into the center and then you get all the cash. I'm I'm allowed to coach you though. Dutch Dutch is going to be the coach. Okay. Hit the blinky drop targets. Blinky drop. Oh, by the way, you have two left, boy. You got twice the responsibility. That's all right. It's not a three ball game. You get time. Oh, yeah. I still need to strengthen the auto, but it still works. Did you lose segments of time because you drained? Not that I'm aware. Okay. Maybe in future. Oh, there's a scoop back there. That's good. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see uh when you update the code what the differences are, if there are many or any probably some minor stuff. Collect wheel value. A free gift bonus multipliers. So, this isn't your first time playing Safe Cracker. You guys played this at Jim Wilks's place once or twice. Yeah, I was fortunate. But it's adorable every time. I mean, look at how cute you guys look. All right. It's such a cute little playfield. Oh, you still got to hit the ramp. Still got like Uh-oh. Actually, your time is about to expire. You're going into sudden death mode here. You got to hit either this, this, or the very target. These two are the easiest. Perfect up top. Okay, now we're going to do the board game. All right, we made it up here. I'll explain as we go cuz all these different spaces do different things. The uh All right, press your button. Let's go fast. Matt going fast. Uh you press You got to give up your money. Bribe the guard. Don't give up. And then just do it fast. The only difference is we have to wait for a stupid animation if you press slow. Yeah. Okay. So, you guys are here. Yes. And here comes the guard. He's right there. So, you need uh a good roll here. Uh-oh. Oh, I don't like the sounds of that. Oh, you got electrocuted. That was not a good thing to do. There we go. So now light it now. That's the worst space to land on. Hot ATM hard. And also you're in sudden death. So all right, this is do or die. Start hitting the drop targets again. The blinky ones. Or hitting the back entrance would be good, too. There's a good chance to give you a multi wall. Oh, that was so close. Doing well under uh sudden death pressure here. Still alive. Get in that bank. Here it is. Money shot. A little wide. Oh, nice save. I thought that was a gunner. Not bad. That was a good challenge. Didn't Didn't get all the loot, but you did you did stuff in things. So, you got 105,000 bucks to split between you two. Nice job. Going home. Oh, 260. Oh, there you go. Even better. Taking home dollars have been terminated.
