## Transcript

Hello for those joining us. This is Freeplay Florida. We're getting ready for semifinal action. They're doing the draws right now. My name is Jeff Kills from Pinball Profile. It's great to be here. I know Brian's going to be back in a second. Fred's just doing the announcements of the groups right now. Look at that contraption by Carl D'Python Anghelo and IE Pinball, which you're watching right now on stream. And that is the wave of the future right there. That is something. I think when I fly home to near Toronto, I have to go through one of those. You don't even have to take off your shoes when you go through this thing. Carl, what's happening, buddy? We're into the semis. We're going to watch the group with who's in it? Escher. Josh Sharpe who just put up that crazy game on Radical to advance I mean that was something how close all those scores were there wasn't a bad score in that group it's unfortunate somebody had to lose so you've got Jim Belsito, Josh Sharpe, Adam McKinney and Escher Lefkoff who's already won the Classics Championship Josh is underway right now tough first ball for Josh although I think we're in practice mode I believe And yes, we are. Thank goodness. Wasn't much of a nudge there to try to save it. Yeah, you know, good point there, Fergers. Phil Grimaldi, who is a genius in Houston, Texas, Carl D'Python Anghelo gave him a lot of credit for this contraption that he's done. And Phil's got one very similar. Hello, Mac Jedi. I don't know what I said that was funny. By the way, this was arranged. Listen, Brian's coming back. He's just using the restroom right now. Had Josh not advanced on Radical, he and I would have been announcing the semis. I mean, if he ever has to be clutched to win, to avoid coming on. I thought that was your first ball. He's going to step over here. My best friend, everybody, Josh Sharpe, the president of the IFBA. Hello, Joshua. Hey, Jeff. How are you? Happy Veterans Day. It's Remembrance Day in Canada. Is that a thing? I don't know. I mean, I should know. It's a big thing. Are you kidding? Under the anniversary of the end of World War II? Yeah, it's a pretty big thing. Anyway. Thank you for your service. Thank you for everybody's service. You're darn right. On both sides of the border. What's up? That was clutch on Radical. Talk about it. It was just a hot mess. It was a hot mess. You had nothing going into ball three. I know. I was there. Yeah. I saw. You're setting yourself up. Now, you last year. I played one good ball that round. You were the classics winner last year. You were in the classics last year. Didn't do so well. No. Well, something before you start is a tough strategy. Yeah, on volley, the wedge heads, you don't want to do that. But last year, you and Zach were in this as well. You had a rough time, I think, last year in this main tournament. I don't even think you got out of the first round. I did not get out of the first round. So you've already done better than last year. Hallelujah. You're setting yourself up for a second or higher, maybe. I don't know. I've got my team draw. I saw, man. I appreciate it. And you've got the IFPA Canadian logo. We're supporting each other. I think this is good. Love fest. Have you played much on World Cup? Yeah. I played it twice in qualifying. It's tough. It's playing tough. Are you out of your mind? Listen, sorry. Guys, are you going left orbit all day? Exactly. I'm saying the multiball is tough. Left orbit, that's the shot. With that gate closed, it's on training wheels, man. Okay. You heard it here first. Josh is going to put up at least a billion on that. Better. by better. It's not as easy as you think. I mean, yes, it's nice feed after the left orbit. That's the only good part. Those slings are pretty active. Nah, if you give it a nice little shimmy when the ball is right there, it'll settle right here. You can trap, post pass, back up, do it 16 times or whatever, and then you're done. Look at the doodler. And you're here for IAAPA, too, so you're here for a little bit. Well, I'm here until Sunday. Sunday night. Big, big show for Rothwells. Yeah. I have to say. Show of the year, man. I was at IAAPA last year, and Rothwells was easily my favorite part of it. Thanks. Firing away. So I assume there's a halo or two? There's, yeah. It's actually the first show that our four players are going to be at, and we're also introducing the two-player version of the game. Big, big time. Yeah. Your brother will be here, I think, Wednesday. Yep. Bringing Beatles, I assume. I think it's going to be on the show floor, so that'll be fun to play. Looking forward to seeing that. It certainly looks beautiful. Love the art by Christopher Franchi. It's another great George Gomez. Boy, he's had a... For a guy who's kind of not really the main designer, he's been a busy boy with that. He's got Deadpool. That's why he looks so young, man. He stays busy. Best signature in the business. You slow down and you die. Or if you have a small child, you... It starts taking the lifeblood out of you. Yeah, so a couple of heavyweights. There were a lot of people here, a lot of great players. Two notables that were not here, Eric Stone, who I think won it two years in a row. He wasn't here. Your brother wasn't here because he doesn't arrive until Wednesday. So not blame Benson, but Benson being the reason. You know, you have a small child. You know, pinball takes a backseat. For at least a decade or two, I think. So what's the – wait a second. This isn't the game, is it? I thought you guys were just on practice balls. Practice balls? I'm being serious. Okay, forgive me. Practice balls. When you drained right away, you were on ball save still. No, I used my ball save. Okay. For a guy who hates ball save. Oh, yeah. Did I deserve an extra ball? I played two balls so far. It's going to be a four-ball game for me. Maybe I can get six balls this game. And you also did mention how easy that left orbit is. Yeah. You're sitting at 81. You just have to make shots. Backhanded that final draw. How do you find the final draw shot? It's, I backhanded it one of the games that I played. It's there. It's nice. Okay. When, now the goalie's moving right now. He scored. Okay. He must have hit the extra ball button. I was going to ask you, when do you hit the extra ball button to get that free? I hit it after, if I brick, it depends on if I have a chance to hit a ramp, I'll give myself the chance. And if I brick it, I'll hit it. Or if I don't have a chance because the balls are in bumble land, I'll hit it. Okay. So right now he's got to go up the ramp to start the jackpot again. He's living up top. Maybe he can get a few cities while he's there. Got the ramp, so the goalie's going. Trying to beat Britton. Is it going to count? Yes. Yes. Got a few cities ready. There's another one. With super spinner and ultra jets, that's some good stuff. I'm sorry, ultra spinner and ultra jet? He's not going to backhand it, no. It's nice. Now it's just like hitting three-foot putts if you're a golfer. Right in, right in. He hope doesn't go out to the left, and yay! It's landing it. It's perfect every time. nice nudge that's what I needed to do and fail that here we go boom just tap it in just tap it in tap tap tapy what a perfect game watch this trap and post pass he's five shots away I wonder if this was by design here on Remembrance Day and Veterans Day to defeat Germany I'm going to set it as easy as possible we need Germany Germany defeated 11 times Great Britain has no soccer team hello Rooney he came back for one more game who said that? Lazy Jones, come on Adam McKinney with his flippin' idiot shirt he's been yelling sports a lot I've noticed that's a thing here I appreciate you sitting in here that was really nice of you to come in yeah you just want to sit down yeah my legs are killing me living on that ramp oh yeah Raymond you'd love it man the travel gate is closed yeah he's going ramp he wants oh there's a striker there He's going ramp. He's avoiding what everyone else is doing. He's playing like a person that's leaving in 28 minutes. What do you mean? He's leaving. What do you mean? He's leaving at 2 o'clock. Oh, his flight? Yeah. He knew that coming into the weekend. He posted on tell forums about it, like asking if he should play or not, knowing that he had to leave. Oh, poor Adam. Or lucky you. Yeah, I mean, it doesn't really... What do you mean it doesn't? It doesn't matter. How does it not matter? I mean, it's two spots. You're still playing against the other. I mean, you have to play well. You can beat Adam all three games and finish third in your group and not advance. Playing. Playing. Like he said, leaving 20 minutes. He's praying for a grand prix and quick draw and Josh hoping to be. Last week, I was in Hartford at the 24-hour Sanctum tournament, and I booked a flight for 11.16, and the Sanctum... A.M.? Yeah, so it's done at 9 o'clock. Well, we didn't start late, so it didn't get done until 9.30. I'm like, oh, boy. International, too, by the way, because I've got to go back to Canada. So I'm like, I've really got to get there. Well, on the way, so it's only going to be 30 minutes. I've got a chance to do it. It went late. I called my wife. I'm like, I might miss it. So she had to book me another flight. I rented a car. I flew back. I got there at around 10, 1030. I called Delta and said, is there any way I can get on the original flight? Because I do not, after playing 24 hours, want to get to 5 o'clock. To fly from Hartford to Minnesota back to Toronto. Oh, that sucks. Like, come on. One of the choices was Chicago. I was going to stay at your place. You didn't know that yet. Funny room. As the sign come off where no Jeff Teel is allowed? You're welcome, though. Thanks. Nice day. We need a clock on here for how many minutes he's got left. Why does he have to leave so soon? Poor guy. I think they drove. So they might just, it might be one of those things where if they have a... What? Did they drive? I feel like they drove. I feel like he's driving. Yeah. Okay. But if he has to be back for something in the morning, and it's a 10-hour drive or something, I mean, leaving at 2 is home at midnight, right? Like, at some point, you will die, like, driving 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. All right. Okay. What do we have in this course? $62 million for Josh Sharpe, $679 for Jim Belisito, $212 for Adam with Escher Lefkoff, who is playing fantastic right now. Hello to G-Bond. That be Greg? Maybe. I still can't get over that radical game. I said this to Adam Lefkoff. I've never seen him play so well as he did at Expo. They have. He beat Keith twice. Twice. Put him in the loser's bracket. Keith goes through that, comes back. No, he killed it, man. He was owning Metallica, so he beat Keith on Metallica with, I think, only $30 million the first game. And then the second game, Keith got to pick, and he goes, let's go back to Metallica. Yeah. Keith is close to on tilt as he's been in a while. So I said to him, what was better, winning the pinball machine or beating Keith twice? And he's like, oh, definitely beating Keith twice. Carl's contraption is pretty cool, isn't it, Josh? It's awesome, man. God bless Carl. He does. You should see this gear. I don't know if you can see it, but maybe a little bit over waving. Who wouldn't want to donate all your time and effort and then money on top of it? He couriered a bunch of stuff here. He's here with his family, which is great. And he couriered a bunch of stuff. Because I'm looking at this big server and all this equipment. How did you get here? Oh, he couriered it. Okay. Have they fixed the magnet? Nah, you've got to shake it off. Okay. Okay. Kenny hit it off. Final draw, just missed it. I heard Bowen once say it was the toughest shot in pinball. What do you think? Where does it rank for you? It's, yeah, it's exciting. Depends, I guess, on the rubber, too. You can spend a whole game trying to hit it and not get anywhere, so it makes the game pretty volatile. Bowen, by the way, ranked number 12 in the IFPA, now unsuppressed. How about that? He's back in. How about that? Bring your dollars. Did he, would he have had to send an email and say, put me back in? Is that how that works for anybody? No, I just decided to do it. Yeah, yeah, of course. Well, I've noticed some of these people that have been suppressed, Kevin Burrell and Bowen, they're now back, so I'm... They have to let me know. Okay. I don't know how it works, is what I'm saying. I am curious. I don't play with people's emotions like that. Hey, what am I doing back out there? I don't know. I was just testing my wife for a minute, so I figured I'd put you back on. Oh. Uh-oh. Nice fave. Yeah. I, just watching, I mean, well, look at your place for Power 100. How great it was there. Yeah, killed it, man. In the dark. In the dark. It was pretty dark there, I thought. Yeah. What was your reasoning? The glare from the ceiling lights make it not, I mean, I play with the ceiling lights on, but I know, I mean, pinball people tend to pitch a lot. Really? I didn't need that. I didn't need someone losing their ball on Dracula because they couldn't see because of the glare. Blah blah blah blah. Okay. They do have invisiglass. Yeah. Yeah, just saying. How much is that a sheet? Listen, all the money you collected for Afghanistan this year... I was like, uh... You're a rich man. Are you kidding? I'll do a Patreon. I walked down your stairway. There were dollars flying everywhere. Oh yeah, start chopping. What? Yeah, yeah. Jermaine, people, yes, do apparently bitch and pinball. It happens. You know what? I know you're behind right now, Josh. But it really one ball is all you need in this game, isn't it? I tend to be someone that drains their first two balls intentionally. So it's... He's doing alright in the cities. Him and Jim. Yeah. Now what do you think of this format? In the sense of it's 3-2-1-0 for three games. I've seen that for four games like you did for the IFBA Pro Circuit. I've never seen this. I've seen 4-2-1 for three games. 4-2-1-0. And I've seen 3-2-1-0 for four games, but not 3-2-1-0 for three. What do you think? I think the best players still tend to win, so... It's fine. It goes faster, which gets people home faster, which is awesome. I thought there'd be more ties with this. And we haven't had one yet, have we? I guess not. Oh, no, no, no. The first round, there was... No, no. You're right. I don't think we had a tie. Oh, no, there was a tie. One of the groups. Escher won a tiebreaker in the Classics Finals. I know that. I thought there was a tie in the first round. Someone could look that up. You've got a fan in Mac Jedi. Jermaine, look that up. Put these people to work. Who's Mac Jedi? I don't know. Your number one fan. I love them. Thank you. Look at that. All right, I'm going to go tank ball, too, and I'll be right back, and then we'll kill it on ball three, man. Thanks. Wow. Firsthand knowledge of a player. Brian, do you want to step in here? Brian's back. Special guest, Josh Sharpe. He said he would come in if he didn't advance in Radical. I thought, oh, that would be a good. He and I teaming up, this should be magic. I'm no Josh Sharpe, but I'll do my best. You're a fine player. You're a fine player. Have you won any big ones? Not in a while. Okay. Well, you're just like Josh. Dracula is the other game being played right now. I see Shannon Stafford playing that. My buddy Jeff Palmer is on that game as well. Jeff, a local guy, is such a great player. Why doesn't he travel? I've been working on him. He lights out. Every time I see him here, he's so great. You've got a lot of good players here. There are. That young Nick guy, he's a good player. He's fantastic. I've just started playing him in the last couple of years. Florida is such a big state, so there's a lot of people here. We're all kind of spread out. So this is like the one show every year that everyone comes together and we all get to hang out. So it's a lot of fun. Daniel Spolar did a great job. He always does. And this location, it's heaven. This is the best location we've ever had. Carib Royale Orlando Resort. I want to apologize for the people in Villa 6. Being Canadian and going home to snow, I may have spent the first two hours sitting in my shorts, shirt off. Yes, of course. With a Mai Tai. No, I didn't have that. I was actually listening to the Slam Tilt podcast. I was listening to their latest episode. And, again, just adding freckles. Yeah. As I won't see the sun for about, I guess, two months before I go to Cuba. Hopefully you can stick around for a few days. No, I'm leaving at 9 tonight. I always book the late flight, so I can try to grab a dinner. Last year, actually, Josh, Daniel and I had dinner because I think Josh had to wait for his family to come back. My flight was late, so all right. Grabbed a bite. He's a much better second ball here. Oh, Canada screwed Josh. Canada? Not a powerhouse in soccer. Women's soccer. We kick butt. Not so much in women's. Josh lamenting the ball lock. Raymond, is ignoring jackpots a bad thing? We'll ask him when he comes back. Or is he at D? Again, that's his whole strategy. He wants that left orbit. That's how I played it when I was qualifying. Jim's got some good progress. I can't remember what Adam had, but I don't think he was going for it. Escher definitely has got some good progress. Oh! Wow! Water break. Water break? Get that horseshoe fixed. That's got to be uncomfortable. Are we playing Theater of Magic left orbit all day? Yeah, somebody said that earlier. It does feel that way. Come on. Still fun. We get a kind of an uncontrolled return when it comes out of the pop bumper sometimes. It's not guaranteed. I like it at least 90% being safe. So he's got all the letters, three more spins, and he's got final draw ready to attack. Now, someone was playing yesterday. I think it was Escher. He didn't defeat Germany. And I think Zach Parks did the same thing. So that's leaving the $500 million plus two goals that were needed to beat Germany. $650 million left on the table. Yeah, that's a lot. So we'll see. He's got one shot away from it. He's on ball two. We're going to see it here. I said to him, you better get him a billion. He said, I should be able to. I think that's pretty safe once he starts this. One more. And if he comes out of final, he should be close to two billion. Here he goes. Now he's got final ready to go. What a hell of a second ball compared to that first ball. I thought it was a practice ball. You got a nice catch right there. It's perfect. This first ball was so bad. That's a one time. Oh, okay, okay. All right. Still got a ball. It's a good place to be. Still got a ball. Good ball, son. Gives me the thank you. He walks out of here. But look at player two and where they're at. These are going to be good games. I see the O flashing. He had that double danger at $400 million. And it's such a good bonus game. You know, tilting is dangerous on this. And I find the tilt a little tight on this. It's reasonable. I thought it was reasonable. It's not crazy crazy, but I've tilted a few times. I tilted once in qualifying yesterday. I gave up like $100 million. And then I realized I just sacrificed like seven qualifying points off of that tilt because the scores were so tight. Brian, you were clutch at the end there. I saw you do very, very well. Thank you. On devil's dare. I remember you saying I need a million. I'm like, a million? You fall out of bed and get that. I think you played three games and they were all over a million. It worked out. Jim is up at the plate again. Escher, how you doing, buddy? Escher's just walking by the studio here. You've made some good progress, Escher, on fighting the final battle there. I hit my skill stop. Yeah? Yeah? Really? Well, no, but it helps a lot. Really? Yeah, it's watching the city. It's bleeding the city. I didn't. Oh, yeah, that's right. I own the game. I didn't know that. That's right. Listen. Listen. Listen, I was telling this to Carl. I've owned the game for two, maybe three years. I only knew three months ago that when you're in multiball and you hit the extra button, it starts to goal again. I had no idea. Someone did that to me, and I was like, oh. So that's actually an adjustment. You can turn it off. Well. And you will see it turned off in some tournaments. I don't claim to be the smartest guy, Brian. Guys like you who are an excellent coder and you know these kind of things. I have to talk to guys like Escher. Escher, what do I do? No, no, on any game. How many times at a tournament do I come to you and say, hey, what do you do? What do you do? A lot. Trust me. I know because you're my go-to guy. Oh. Oh. Wow. This could come down to who has the better World Cup final. You know what? Yeah. Defeating Germany here on Veterans Day and Remembrance Day is going to be very, very important. You guys know how to talk about things, right? No? It goes left side of the ball? Yeah. Garth is talking about lighting it on ball one and several times not getting it in that damn scoop. Well Garth these are some of the finest players in the world here The longer it lit the harder it gets Asher sitting beside us He goes The longer it lit the harder it gets Good good Asher sitting beside us he goes the longer it lit the harder it gets The satisfying thing is when it does go in, it just makes that clunk, just feels so good. Mm-hmm, okay. Is this his, is this his first multiball? Because I know that's been his strategy. I think so. I'm sorry we've just been seeing most people pass over the ball after the plunge to try to pick one, nope, he's going to flip it get an ultra going ultra goalie, always good that's the way to do it even his misses are going to get some points here but how many How many countries will he get? I say three. He's going to try for a few jackpots first, I think. That's what I mean. How many will he get? I say three. I say two. Two? Uh-oh. I don't think he's got one yet. The goalie's still going. Oh, he's killing that goalie. Good thing he has ultra goalie. Another one. Greatest goalie ever. Oh, finally. Okay, hit the button. There he goes. He's going to get the cheap one. Eh. Yeah. Can he defeat Holland? Holland, a definite powerhouse in real soccer action. Oh. Will Adam do it? Oh, he beats the Freaky Deaky Dutch, as they say in Goldmember. Still no cities. I said three. I didn't say... I mean, cities. Oh, okay. Light the kickback. Light the kickback. I don't go for the kickback. Oh. It's an extra ball. Oh. Kickback doesn't save it down the middle. No one used the magnet in this. The only thing I found it good for is half ramps. Half ramps? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Half ramps back down the left ramp. On the left ramp? Yeah. Give it a little jolt. Yeah, that's a good point. Other than that, not really needed. So we got two. What's the strategy going to be now? Is he going to go back to multiball? Uh-oh. Second multiball is a little harder. Yeah. Less things are lit, correct? Fewer shots lit. You don't get the spots off the skill shot. He hasn't touched the left orbit. I mean, he doesn't even have one city yet. There you go. Fitting that one is Orlando here in this beautiful sunshine state of yours. Orlando also not really known for soccer, but that's changing. Okay, where's he going? Ramp or spinner? Neither. I think he was going orbit. I still think he is. I see no reason why not to. I agree. Okay. He's got a goal. Ultra. Jets. Then I'm definitely going spinner. Okay. This is a heck of a grind. He cannot find it. I don't think he's found it. Not yet. There he goes. Attaboy. And a good rip, too, on those ultra jets. Good shot, Adam. Nice catch. Nice catch. Going to do it again. He's found it. Took him three shots, but I bet he gets it here. Yep. He's dialed in. Max out there, so. Jets are done What is it? 40 million? Is that all you get? Yeah But after you get to 25 Jets They're a million for the rest of the ball So What? You're still getting points off of them I should really learn the games I own Yeah I didn't Two years Josh, you have no idea Some of the I actually just came over and he said You know, if you complete the skill shots It gives you a city I'm like, what? Okay, he's post-passing, so that's... I think I know where we're going now. That's why I'm sitting here. Well, you see why I shake my head now. Oh. I do like this game. One day I'll learn it. See, look at that. A million a pop. That was 30 million. It was a million pop because, again, why? After 25. After 25 pops? Pops, yeah. Okay. Okay. Oh, there the magnet would have helped, Brian. Yes. Bring it back. Okay. Good ball, Adam. Look at that. $250 bonus. We have a new leader. Oh, no, it's just under Belsito. Can the kid from Colorado kick these old kids to the curb? Taking his time. Yeah. In the other group, I see Drew and Jeff and Shannon and Carl. All right. So if you look, he's only got two shots lit to advance his multiball. Two shots for that, but look at the cities. Look at the cities. He's begging. I have to say the Boston Tea Party's sound effect may be the worst in all pinball. I like to shoot it just to make it shut up. Is that what you're saying? Yes. It works very well in getting your attention. It doesn't sound like what it's supposed to sound like. Oh, does he get the Josh Ball save? He does. I know. He did. It's a pop-a-doo game. It goes always on the blipper. No. Where's he going? He's trying to get the goalie going. He wants to help or something. I think he's going goalie. Watch. He's going goalie, kid. I get it. I get it. I get it. Folks, if you've never sat between Jeff Teolis and Josh Sharpe, I've got to say. We've been good. It's quite an experience. We've been good. Okay. Where is he going now, Josh? Left orbit. Theater magic. stop post pass I think the first time I was ever on a stream playing I remember listening back and the commentator was like not sure what he's doing no idea what he's doing does he know this game sadly it's still like that to this day but it's so funny because Brian's calling the shots what's he doing post pass one time oh no he's already got lit stop Pop the ball. Magnet. Oh, there's a useful magnet. Don't think he needed it there. He did need it. Stuffed it in. All right. All right. Start plunging. Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang. One hand. Not channeling. There's got to be a ball in there. Did you go one hand drive or no? What do you mean? No, no. No, I don't want to keep too many balls in play. Really? The goal stops scoring if you put two balls in it. If I have three balls in play, I leave it in the shooter. 4-2 Germany right now. Germany's usually good for about six. Sixteen seconds left. Germany with a quick goal. It's 5-3. Ten seconds to go. Oh, I like that he's got six. I like that he's got six. He gets seven. Call it a day. Give the kid his 500 mil. Look, he already knows it. Nine goals. Awesome. Nine is a lot. World Cup champion. Down goes Germany here on Remembrance Day and Veterans Day. Another 500 million. A few more fireworks. Germany scores more with fewer balls you put in play. Interesting. Is that? I think that's true, yes. Really? Mm-hmm. I think Larry DeMar would like to just sit with balls in the plunder lane with no consequences. Are you out of your mind? Hmm. Nine times 75 million delicious. If you leave, balls and launch. Germany will score more. Okay. Plunge and let them go. All right. Good tips. Thanks. Interesting. I was doing it anyway, not by knowledge. So what I was getting at was if you put too many balls in the goal, there's no sensor in there. It can't tell that you've got two in there. You've got two in there. so it just won't score any more goals until it empties out. But I guess you should just cleanse the balls and throw them somewhere else instead. Okay, that being said, though, look where it's going to put it back. It's going to put it back on the flipper to shoot another goal. Oh, but if you get three balls in there, it can have a hard time kicking the ball out. Maybe you get a trap there, and the clock does not stop for that. Your magic number is five. All right. Five is your magic number. We're beating Germany? Five? I was thinking it was six. Okay, it's five. All right. All right. Three to two. I knew you were looking good at six. He's got all the balls in play. Strategically draining. Yep, yep. Just to get clean shot. You know what? I like that. So he said he was going to play one-handed. Four-four. Oh, just missed it. One more. He knocked it out of the free kick. There's a collision going on there. Five seconds. He's going to need one more. One more. It's a tie. Just hit the goal right now and it will be over with. First person to score. Oh, no. Can't get it. In there. You got it. You got it. Wow. Wow. But four goals short of Escher's. That's $300 million. Yeah, that's a good point. You still like that 500, though. You've got to get the 500. You've got to get the 500. But when everyone's on the verge of doing this, you... Nine's a lot. I don't think I've done nine at my house. I think eight's my best. I did 11 once. Whoa, breaker. Glass on or off? On. I mean, yeah, on, of course. Clutch, clutch. Stop. I thought he got steroids. Josh, sitting right here. Josh, grab a mic and tell us about your game here. Terrible first ball. Yeah. Splotch. Second ball to get you set up there. I don't know how many times you hit the goalie. Were you playing one-handed? Yeah, for the start. I thought so, yeah. You get a nice little, you can find a rhythm doing that, Or not. Are you comfortable at 1.8? And Jim's ready to go pretty soon. No. No. I knew my locks were lit coming out of that, and then brick training was not fortunate. Okay. Not fortunate. Another multiball would have been nice. Still a decent score. It's all right. but Jim's playing great today I mean yep he certainly is I don't see him not getting to the World Cup final here he's been known to Bell Sito a few people it's funny how they've named that after him now those millions now that's a million Brian thank you for telling me that what an idiot I am Oh good move. That final draw. That's all he wants now. Can he get it? Oh scary. Final draw. That's all he wants. It can go either way. That's what makes it so exciting. That hole man. Now he's got a shot. One time. Bad hole, man. Okay, now he's got a shot. One time. Stoink. See, that wasn't even his fault. That was a pretty good shot. Okay, he knows where it is now. I say he gets it. Boom. Nice. Jim never missed it twice. I think that's the name of a Bond movie, Jim Never Misses Twice. Jim Bond. Nice. It's a pitcher's battle. Goalie's on fire. Get rid of that one ball. Stop hitting the left flipper. Let it drain. One. Escher says five's the magic number. Better get there. Oh, come on. Don't kick it out. Okay, 3-3. Will we have a tie like we had overtime? Oh, he's already got four. One more. Josh went to overtime. Wow, Germany only scored three. Beaten after their... The U.S. goalie, man. He's on your side. Wow. Germany's getting better. They're not scoring, though. Well, they fired their coach since my match, and the new coach is very defensive-minded. All right, Josh. Jim's passed you now, and now he's trying to take down Escher. Jim plunged better, according to Scott Daniels. Steve Daniels. Steve's brother, Scott. You should see him play. He's great. So, Josh, not where do you want him to go. Where would you be going right now? Got to get that multiball going? Yeah, I'd probably go left orbit all day. Still now? Sure. Really? Your ultra spinner's lit. Your ultra jets are lit. It's not. It's juicy. Okay. And his soccer ball's off. He's only got two balls. He could literally. One more away from multiball. If you don't miss, you can get all the way back there. Striker. Oh, I missed it. Okay. Orbit. Third striker is advanced three cities, so that costs all the trouble. Where's he going? Left orbit? I would. That's what I'd do. Yep. Now he's got final draw list, I believe, or he locked what I mean. I actually find this right ramp not too bad. The right ramp doesn't lock the ball though. Oh. It comes around too quick. Oh. It doesn't lock it. If you hit it sloppy it'll stop. Yeah. You can't take that. If you hit it sloppy it'll stop. Okay. All right. Here we go. Alright, here we go. Escher hoping to not have to play his last ball, but it's going to be tough now with bonus. I think he'll have to step up. It's better to step up and come back than not play ball. Exactly. Adam McKinney is still in the building he hasn't started the car yet but he's dressed to impress he's got his ball three outfit on wait until you see this I don't know who's the better pinball player but I know who's the best looking I'll tell you that No cargo shorts on that kid. Jim taking pot shots. Oh. Oh. Nice. Oh. That's how you do it. Tap right backhand. I guess so. Trying to knock down Australia. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Oh. Ball just boomeranged back here against Australia. Oh, and he gets in. Uh-oh. Oh, no. Oh, my God. It's better to have none than one. Yeah. That sucks. That sucks. Now he doesn't get to start it over again. There we go again. Advanced three cities. Here comes Boston. And there's the 40 million. And some jets. And a safe feed. Maybe. Yep. Shoot. Stoink. Oh! Did he hit a rollover and then go in? Uh-oh. Nice nudge. That was some good stuff. Wow. Oh. I'm gonna ask a stupid question. Who picked this game? I did. You did, okay. No, Asher's driving. He deferred? He deferred. Okay. Yeah, I think he burned his picks in the first round. Ah. Ah! Ooh. There you go. So if he burned his picks, and he's not listening now, Josh, if you've been thinking about game two, there's not much you can do now watching this. What will game two be? I don't know. What did Carl pick for game two? What's off the table? What did Carl pick? Carl went Walking Dead. I know that. He did Radical, and I can't remember if he picked Game 3, but he definitely picked Walking Dead and Radical in Round 1. What was Game 3? I think World Cup Soccer. Those are the three games he's picked. Okay. I'd probably pick TX. TX, TX, TX. Man, Jack Fry digging back. That is crazy incredible. That's pretty incredible. That's pretty incredible. Yeah, that's... Now if he can get another multiball and get one more jackpot and fall short again, that would be crazier. Well, let's see if he gets the, uh... I don't know. Let's see, two cities, he's only got two left? Yeah. Oh, I don't know, well let's... Does it go to, uh... or does he go to 255 cities left? That would be awesome. It goes back to Morocco. Extra ball is how much on this table? We don't know. I have no idea. We're not going to be hitting the striker stand-ups to find extra ball. I know that. Oh, that was a good shot. Oh, oh. Remember how we got it last time? Right. Back in. He doesn't need it. Straight in. There's another way to get in there. This is still game one. I see Shannon playing Grand Prix. They've already played Dracula. Good call, Brian. He gets one fast forward pass. What was that? 250. Okay. There we go. Victory lap time. How many goals can he get here on this victory lap? 250 defeated for Jeremy. Oh! It's in the left cough. It's in the left cough. The left cough, Lazarus. Did that bounce over? It bounced over. Yeah. It was a World Challenge. It only happens on soccer games. Wow. Was that World Challenge soccer, right? Yeah. These soccer games, man. We've got to get Striker Extreme in here. A Joe Balcer game. That's right. Speaking of Joe Balcer, coming up on Pinball Profile. You like that? I just teed that up for you, Jeff. The entire career of Joe Balcer, I spent an hour and a half with him. It's coming out today. The only reason it's not coming out right now is because I'm sitting here. Four shots left for Jim. Let's see. By the way, we talk Oktoberfest and we talk about the back glass Wow, you are hard-hitting journalism You betcha Nothing left off No powder puff interview here I think you know that firsthand Look at that, can he get three more shots to the left orbit Oh, what a ball though Bell Cito My goodness. Bonus luck. $300? $425. $425. Fergers, send me an email. You're up next. pinballprofile at gmail.com. I'll have anybody on. Josh, how many times have you been on? I don't know. I think you had me on every six weeks. Was that the rule? It's been a while. I've been busy. Brian's been on a few times. I think Free Play Florida here last year was the first time. And we talked about highway. Okay. Look at, look at, that's the way I want to see a pinball uniform, all right? No more of these cargo shorts, t-shirts. I want ties. You don't have to wear a blazer if it's hot, but. In this room, you don't want one. Look at that outfit. No ball caps. We're indoors. Have respect. I wonder where he's going to go on a Sunday? He has a conference. Conference? Yeah. In a city far away, obviously. Here. Oh! I was wondering, if he's driving, why does he... There you go. An even better reason to leave. Poor guy. Oh, at least get, you know what, look at how close he is. Come on. This is pretty cool if they all get a shot of it. Plus he almost had two Oh okay Final draw Come on buddy Use the magnet I would use it there. Nice nudge. I would have used it there. Do it. Great. Great try. Great tie. Well done, Adam. Is he gone? He's gone. That's it. All right. Adam's Play brought to you by Uber slash Lyft. He's out of here. Look at him go. I think three or four years ago I had to catch a flight in finals. And in the middle of game two, I think I finished game two, and everyone let me play game three as a single player. I played, I left, and then I watched to see how I finished in the car on the way to the airport. And did you? I didn't win. I got, like, third. No, I did not get second. That's pretty cool they let you do that. That was the year of the double DQ with me and this guy. What happened? Bad speed, bad tournament structure. Was this the tournament where you two guys were like, I want to slam tilt first? Yeah. What was the ruling on that? There are new people in pinball. We played for choice is what we ended up doing. And you both wanted to... We both wanted to finish in the lower position because the groupings were favorable to whoever finished second in our group. And we'd both advanced already. Yes, but you wanted to be second. Right. So, knowing we both advanced, we both wanted to not win the group. That's right. And chaos ensued. I said I'd disqualify myself. And then eventually the light bulb went off and it hit his head. And he's like, uh, yeah, I also disqualified myself. That obviously didn't happen. What did happen? We played and the winner got to choose to be the lower side. That's a smart idea. I like that idea. And you chose to be lower. I hope, by the way, the other group that watched you do this shoved it down your throat. Oh, boy. Big bear paws. Oh, he's going for it on the fly. Boom. Nails it. Where's he at? Final draw. What is another game we can play that's this long? X-Men. X-Men. Can we bring Theater Magic in? There's got to be a Lord of the Rings in the other room. 3.6 bill. And counting. where's he at that is well I mean just keep playing but it would be nice to know if you're playing oh brilliant use of the magnet it had to be said I'm sorry Levy would be proud of my excitement there because really that was really well done I don't know Oh. Part of me wants Escher to just build cities, knowing that if he can get to another World Cup final on the left, he probably has Jim. I don't know if he has Jim, even if he gets to Germany here and has good victory laps. But that's just me, the person who finished in third with 1.8. Against somebody who had to leave an enumerator. 2.6 he's at. Okay. Three goals. 11 goals. So he needs a he needs a bill It's the way what's the way to do it what's the path Josh left over all day man All day I Haven't boomed yet there now man it might come though if he gets it I'll talk I will boom treasure catches old brilliant Sneaky goal short side boys been weak there all day Boss, no. Oh, I hate that sound effect. Oh. Nice nudge. That was awesome. That right out lane has been deadly. 27 mil. No chump change there. Another ultra. Jets. Which is perfect because he's going that way anyway. Oh, okay. Now, Brian, you were saying. Oh, poor pressure. That's too bad. Great game, though. Great game. We were just talking about that. Right out lane, deadly. Jim will get three points. Escher will get two. Josh will get one for participation, and Adam has left. So it's on to game number two. Game number three in the other group. Thanks, Josh. Good luck. Thank you. I'll be back. It's the best place to watch. It's not a 12-second delay. So at this rate, when will we be done with this? It's game one. It's after 2 o'clock here. And Chick-fil-A is closed on Sundays. What am I going to do? I came on Thursday night. It was right across the street. Yeah, right down the street. Yeah. It was right across the street. I was like, oh, this is heaven. I have a bag of cookies. Still have one left. One day old Chick-fil-A. No, no, thank you, Bill. It was a hollow offer. Thanks for saying no. It's a nice-looking bag, though. I love these chocolate cookies. All right. That was exciting. That was really cool. Now we're down to three people, so it won't be as long. I feel bad for Adam that he had to leave. Let's check out how we did in the other game in this group. Shannon Stafford took first place. No, I thought they already played Dracula. Grand Prix. Yeah, that's interesting. Oh, they're on game. They played two games. This is their own game, too, of three. Oh, okay. They're still playing Grand Prix. So they're on Grand Prix right now. Well, Shannon took three, Drew Sedolia two, Carl took third place, and Jeff Palmer. I saw a little bit of the Dracula scores. They were pretty low all around. I just interviewed a guy who lives right here in Orlando. His name is Mark Mark Tremonti. He's the guitarist for the Mark Tremonti Project. He played guitar for Creed and Alter Bridge. He's such a pinhead. When he was just in Pittsburgh recently, he spent hours and hours at the pop-up facilities. And I said to him, you live in Orlando. And unfortunately, last week on Friday, he had to fly out. Not unfortunately, it's his job. He's gone on tour. Two months on tour in Europe, so he's missing his job. Oh, that's too bad. Yeah. So, Mark, I know you watch a lot of these streams. Hello, and thanks for coming on Pinball Profile. I know you'll be at Free Play Florida in years to come, and probably other competitions, too. The game of choice is TX Tinker. Josh called it. I can hear it already. Carl's wireless unit is good for about 15 hours, he said. That's amazing. Yeah, it really is incredible. I'm proud of Carl for what he's done. Yeah, kudos to him. He's worked really hard this weekend. Phil Grimaldi and all kinds of guys. It looks like I can't tell there, Carl, if we're good to go. Brian's having a look. Screen looks good. Everything's fine. Are we playing four players? Thank you, Steve. Thank you, Snail Man, for the feedback on that interview. You'll like this bolster one that's coming out today. So we haven't seen TXX around the stream yet. Wow. Okay. I don't know if you had to, but, again, we played it last night. It was on the stream at the end of the night. Oh, yeah back to the tiebreaker between Brad right right open air. Yes, and It was I think 3.5 million won it it's a one ball game it really is a one ball game I mean you could have three great one balls. I Know but it's not a progress game at all. It doesn't Is the player for display? No, no, we're not I don't know. We left actually left. That's right. Okay You know what? Put him in and plunge him. He might actually beat you. Get the point. Hilarious. What if you plunge forever and it keeps zero draining and then we never finish? TD can't flip forever. All right, fine. That'd be fine. 30-30 Is that a record low? On TX Is that going to Still man's loving you It's only one ball We don't record one ball lows Colin MacAlpine Sticking it Sure Yeah, I think when you watch back it... About here, I thought I needed it. And then about here, it was like, oh, I don't need it. And it was too late. Yeah. A lot of rage. A lot of built-up frustration from years of... So close. What? You're basically set. Why Josh no shats? I was fine doing with spinners. Ray, I've been fine with that right spinner during qualifying. If it doesn't bother me. Do you know what Adam Lefkoff was saying? Don't try to shats, in fact. I disagree with that. Well, I don't agree or disagree. I'm just saying his reasoning was go up there, you're going to get some pops and stuff, and it's also good practice to get that shot, and it's a safe return. He got snaked in going up and out, which didn't happen to me during qualifying. Yeah. I've seen people post-pass even on this. Left to left is okay. Left to right. Left to right you can't? It gets caught in no man's land. Okay. tell Ray yes. Just tell Ray yes. Ray yes. Yes, Raymond. Lit spinner is always 10K. I love that Raymond's the number one player in the world and doesn't know a lot of the rules. God bless you, Raymond. God bless you, buddy. No kidding, eh? His interview on Head to Head was great. You can tap past. Tap past a little bit. Yeah. I haven't seen a lot of guys do that. If you watch Derek, Derek was living on multiball. That upper flipper, he was hitting that lock shot, or the port shot, I guess, the teleport shot. Yeah, I wasn't comfortable with that. I just want spinners. Keep it simple, stupid. Still early on that shot. It's definitely a later shot on the left flipper. Nice Dave. Lots of, you're right Colin, lots and lots of action on those pops and points too. So I think that's why Adam was going, whatever flipper he was on, he was hitting the spinner that was in front of him. 90,000 there. Ooh, good save, come back. Can he find it clean? He's getting closer. There it is. It's a good shot. I remember him saying this yesterday, And I know Josh you picked this game Jim was having trouble with this one but Spare from the upper slipper Sorry we'll get the points updated there. Sorry about that Oh no, I almost lost both. multiball means nothing to me. I could care less about multiball in this game. Gets in the way. It's like an extra ball. You only need one flipper. A lot of factors in those ramp shots. Obviously the how far up you build, that grid, and what your multiplier is at, which starts at 9 and counts down It's a pretty good ball 2.4. four. The high scores for the weekend were like seven? No, no, ten. 10? 10. Yep. I had it at a wall at 6.8, and then Adam got me at 7, and then everyone seemed to be beating it. I was like, oh. I had one entry left last night, and I was 7th in TX sector. I thought, it's my best game. I'm going back to it. Yeah, Adam McKinney had to leave. Unfortunately, that's why he was dressed very nicely. Yep. Nice. Stand back and watch. Stay there. Stay there. Don't move. I'm sorry. Not again. I'm sorry. Sorry. Not again. Love the sound. I mean, it's just amazing how... I like the flow of this game. I love the sounds of this game. Yet it could be the ugliest game of all time. Everyone always asks me, is the back glass supposed to look like that? Oh, who left it out in the sun? All right, here comes Josh Sharpe. Trying to build on the 3,000 he put on his first ball. I say he does it. Brian, I say he's got a better ball, too. He's only losing by three digits. Best line of the night. Brian, he'll be back soon. All right, here we go. Josh Sharpe. President of the IFPA. Rage tilted on his first ball. He's getting the same action. Crushing his first ball. Oh, he's up to five digits. Two away. Late shot. There it is. Missed the save. Good for 300. Now see, that's the exact same feed he had back in the first ball. He tilted it. Just trust it'll come back. That's coming back. He's fine. What's he going to try to do? Yep, post. Boom! Okay, post. And then relax. Don't shoot it. Alright. Oh. Playing with fire there. Nice. Oh, it's coming back. That is the one danger of that shot. Oh. Don't know much about the drop target in front of the ramp. He's caught up in digits, Brian. Oh, what was that? Good. Great save. Great little nudge there. All right. He's been here before. He can only hear what he's saying to himself. Oh. Okay. He did say it was tougher going left to right. That's a great shot. Still spinning. Still spinning. Still spinning. Still spinning. Oh. Get away from the top of the slings. That's the danger zone. I always feel nervous when we're at the top of the slings. Right at the very top of the slings? Both sides right here. Yeah, and you've got these. These are not just targets. These are actually kicking. Oh, huge kicks. Okay. Relaxed. There's the spinner. Oh, he's got a little more on that. Perfect rip. Good point by Garth. Next circuit event. Next week. Next week we get to do this all over again. Are you going to go to Flippers? No, I can't make it, unfortunately. North Carolina, right on the coast there, should be good. Which is nice that, like this event last year in Flippers, OBX, same weekend. So you had to kind of pick and choose. That's why you're seeing such great talent here this year, and I'm sure you will next week as well. Because you didn't have to split it. Like last year, I know Trent, who was here this year, he was at OBX. I think Fred Richardson. Deborah Tallman, she won Classics last year at OBX. And she won Women's this year, by the way. Here at Free Play Florida. She's been playing really well. Top qualifier and Women's champ. So congratulations, Deborah. And for those who are at Expo, yes, I gave her hack. I said, where is the classics Classics update on IFP she's working on It's a good ball Josh good ball 2.8 It really is a one ball game. I mean you don't want to waste them But I mean that was like a one ball game. This is for all was his house was low so Two balls like that and I'd be happy Alright, what's on the chat world here? Charlotte has a nice little group headed. I bet they do. Garth Dunk, part of that group. OBX, Flippers. Apparently, the one thing I know about that, the best trophies in the world in pinball are at Flippers. I've heard a lot of people talk about how great the trophies are. So I'll be looking forward to seeing some posts of that. People are very creative with the trophies these days. Yeah. It's fun to see. Okay. Jim Belsito is actually on the phone right now. By the way, our thoughts are with those people in California, the Thousand Oaks area, Malibu, and some of the other places with the fires. Bob Matthews is here. First thing I saw on Friday morning, I saw Bob. I said, hey, Bob, how's it going? He said, well, take your pick. With the horrific shooting that just happened there, the tragedy with those college students, just heartbreaking. And now the fires that are out of control, and over 20 people have already perished in those fires. It's scary in different parts of the world, whether it's hurricanes, whether it's tornadoes and the fires in California. So we're hoping the Carl Weathers certainly assists putting out those fires, and I hope everyone's safe out there. Absolutely. For all the Florida people who are here at the show, I know some people were affected by the hurricane earlier this year that hit the panhandle. Yeah, yeah. I know people are still trying to recover from that. Well, I know for Grimaldi, we were talking about earlier, I mean, what he had to go through last year in Houston. Crazy Carl Weathers, for sure. Jim Balsito steps up for ball two on TX Sector. He's got the lead or he's 2.4 right now. Oh wow. Did he score anything? I'm not sure he scored any points. Yeah, he gets it back. And that's what we were joking about when we said, well, we'll plunge Adams ball. Then Josh even said, well, we'll be here all day because it won't hit anything. Ball safe. Gutley ball safe. He went and it drained. No valid play field. Yeah. Uh-oh. Didn't register. That's happened a few times. And it wasn't even that it was super fast. I don't know why. Do you have a preference, the right or the left spinner? No? Take what I can get. Take what you can get. I'll tell you why I like the left one better. Get it on both flippers. back in it from the left sure I don't try to switch it but I'm saying you don't have to post pass or tap pass or anything you've got a shot always there but as Jim just showed you right there post pass from right to left is pretty easy on this game thank you for commentating by the way It bled through here when you were yelling, uh, Josh stop missing shots A barry crew Is that in stealth carolina, I think I'm just reading uh One of the comments there. I think it is. I saw abby here I know she plays a Bari. Hey, a question about the amount of room in the tournament area. There is a ton more room this year than there was last year. But I didn't find it was a problem last year either, though. But this is huge. It's nice. It's really nice and spacious. Yeah. Games, there's a lot more room between games as well. If 70-foot ceilings are your thing, we've got it. Tom McCulloch, come on down. How many Todd's could use back to hit the ceiling? I don't know. Okay. 3.7. Well, two. Escher, getting ready. You never out of this game on TX Sector Okay TX sector Still in ball two Mm-hmm. I will say with Adam gone, we have a chance of a three-way tie after three games if you guys will kindly work that out for us. Oh, yeah. How was it? Are you sure it is? Rotate the points. Yeah. 6-6-6-0, my friend. Ten of Taz. Thank you. Let's do it. And maybe we can have a... You know what? We can have Jack's open or something on the... Speaking of Tom McCullough, that's not him. and that's Adam standing on a chair over the right of Asher's head. Oh, nice save. Great save. Could have had a few more spins there. Unfortunately, he came back. Switched over, and now we're back onto the right spinner. Great post pass. Little shots. Does he like that? Was that shots on purpose there? Yeah. He's a... he's a spinner. Oh, another Queen save! No. He does it again! I do like that left spinner. So does he. See, don't need to post pass here, here he goes, watch. Oh, he's gonna try it anyway. Uh oh. Oh, yes. Perfect. Great drop catch. I'm not kidding there, Doug. Great saves by Escher. I'm telling you, a lot of people here in Florida have talked about how crazy Escher has been playing this week. Carl D'Python Anghelo is one of them, too. And he might be facing him in the final round. Mm-hmm. He is. He's just... I don't even think he plays TX a lot, too, because I remember when he was going up the step over here, he goes, what do I do? When you're asking me that question? Yeah, I guess he doesn't know it. Spinner, spinner, spinner. Figured it out really fast. Oh. Okay. Good ball. Good ball. Nice ball. Solid scores. Got a bit of an audience here watching the action here. Yeah, the tournament room is a little bit removed from the show area, but there's still a crowd in its form to watch. Uh-oh. Great saves, Asher. Asher's standing right beside me. Well done, buddy. Can I ask, while you're here, and you're just leaning into the mic here, I noticed when you... Oh, okay, Josh is... Josh goes down. He's going to take another point. You had the left spinner lit, and you were trying to post pass or shots to the right. You didn't want to backhand it? So the backhand was, like, no good because it came back a lot, and in qualifying I could never, like, consistently hit it. So it was coming back to the right most of the time, either for a bounce or just holding the clicker up, or it would come down to speed, which is the best because then you can drill the spinner. So I just wanted it on the other side so I could have a big hit, and it would stay in the pop so I wouldn't come back down and stop the spinner. And I was comfortable in the alley, so I only missed one alley, and it's not dangerous because of how high the slings are. Yeah. The flippers. Yeah, you never went up and over. Yeah. Okay. All right. Thanks. Thanks. And I'll credit Timmy Street. Timothy Street. He told me if you rolled on it, give him credit for that. Tim, my roommate here. I stayed with him and Chris Warren. We had a huge suite. This place is great. Oh, the rooms here were fantastic. It was awesome. And very close to the tournament room. I queued up for games yesterday, went back to the room, came back. Nice. But we stayed in a more posh villa, private pools and everything. We didn't slum it with the rest of you. Only the best. Exactly. I think David Taylor, God bless him and God rest his soul, I think he booked it so he wanted the he wanted the fire room so he did well That'll do it I think the math's not in your favor, Josh. So we're going to have 5-5-2-0. Unless Adam comes back. Unless Adam, if McKinney can come back. Yeah, it's going to be 5-5-2. Do you want to go to your bank? We're going to switch banks, and I'll tell you why. because the math here is going to be five Jim Belsito, five for Escher, two for Josh. There will not be a chance. The only chance I have is if someone DQs. Now, actually, it doesn't matter because if they DQ, then there's a tiebreaker between Adam and the DQ player. And Adam's not going to win that. So, anyway. We don't have a fight. We're done. So we're going to go to. We're playing TX. Oh, we're going to play more TX. We're going to see Carl D'Python Anghelo. We're going to see Jeff Skinner, Shannon Stafford, and Drew Sedolia. Yeah. Nice. More TX action. And Carl steps up. He's ready to go. I'm Jeff Teals. Brian Brian Dominy with me here. Semi-final actions here at Freeplay Florida. Beautiful Orlando. Thank you for watching IE Pinball. And thank you for your support for everything that Carl does. No messing around here. Rip City. Right to it. Get to work. Uh-oh. Got a break there. And if you're wondering, Radical was the other game picked right now and playing for pride. And I guess really a chance for fifth place for Josh. I mean, he's certainly not going to. He's playing between five and seven because Adam will be eighth when this is all done. It's a great event. The show is... Oh, that was beautiful. The show is spectacular here. Lots going on. Oh, shimmy out! Wow. It's never over. It's not a loose tilt. It's just... I've seen a lot of people tilting trying to do that, but... Well, we saw Josh tilt on his first ball. That is incredible. The key... And I can't remember who told me it Fred Richardson The key is you really have to wait time to the last second to do that It's got to hit that that This bumper right here this guy It's got to hit that and that's when you start the aggressive Side shake. Yeah, otherwise it's too late. Yeah Let's see how much extra he gets on this after that great save. Look at those pops. Lots of points. Yes, Jermaine. Poor Josh. But I got to tell you, he was playing lights out this week. he had to play one game to get into Classics. He was out and up maybe a 250 on centigrade, 220 or something. Just clutch. And you saw what he did in the quarterfinal action on Radical, in that crazy game where all the scores were between 8.5 million and 9.6 million. Yeah, to even be here at this point is amazing after that. Carl is Every spinner shot has been very good for him I've got to tell you what just happened on Radical It's sad But it is a show Josh just played his first ball And some You know participant here At Freeplay Florida Went up to almost Play ball too Not Jim Belsito So Josh ran over and caught him. It's actually his best save of the day. Best save of the day right there, stopping that person from playing. Josh. That's your best reflexes all week. This is Carl's first ball, and he went out, He made a great save all at about 600,000, so there's an extra 1.3 he got after a great save. Look at these captures that these guys are doing. God bless them. More outside interference at WWE. The chairs are bolted down and Trent's left, so I don't think we're going to see that kind of WWE action. All right. Well, let's see what Shannon can do. See if he can repeat. Shannon, who we were talking about OBX earlier, he was the winner last year. Yes. Excellent player. Oh, no kidding. It was funny that he was at OBX and not here last year, right? The last year they did, yeah. That's the only reason I did well last year. Half the play field was gone at OBX. Oh, Shannon came second? Who won? Trent won. Is that safe to say? No, Debra won Classics. Help me out, Zentron. Trent did. Okay, my bad. I knew Shannon did very, very well. Thanks, Zen. I don't claim to say that everything I say is the truth. But if you're confident in saying it, it's really all you need. I mean, I'm going to fool more people than not. How do you get to IAF without a badge? You just walk right through like you have a badge. As long as your face is full of confidence, you can win it. Josh is sitting beside me and goes, that's how you get to IAF. but just walk confidently like you're supposed to be here without a badge. You know who taught me that? Zach's boss at Stern. I'll tell you a story. In Vegas, at the pizza show. Yeah? No one can hear you right now, but... That doesn't matter. You guys can hear me. Okay. Like, he took our amusement expo badge, turned it around, and he's like, just walk in like you own the place. The pizza people will not stop you. In April of 1999 at WWE Raw in Detroit at the Joe Louis Arena or Cobble Hall or wherever it was at, I said to my buddy, we were there for the opening day of the Tigers, and we were looking like all these WWE trucks, and I said, just follow me. Just pretend. Grab your cell phone. Don't look anybody in the eye, and just keep walking. We walked in where the trucks were. As we walk in, there's Jerry Lawler, there's Goldust, and they're watching TV, and I said, quick, grab a drink. Like they had a sandwich trade, so we looked like we were supposed to be there. And I thought in my head, the Cobo Hall guys were thinking, oh, these guys are with WWE. and the WNE guys are with. All these guys are with Kobo. We stayed for five hours. Talked to The Rock, Stone Cold, Owen Hart when he was alive. All these great guys. These employees were there with their Playboy magazines getting Sable to sign the autograph. And we were sitting there the whole time. I'm like, this is the best ever. A little lesson on how to get backstage. All right. Don't let those scores fool you again. One ball is all you need. Oh, that's a bit of a fumble. Yeah, a mistake there that I know, Carl. I think she could have had. Playing a little Andre on the fly there, Carl. Yep, a little bit. It's that California thing, isn't it? Vaughn, true story. That'll come back. Maybe, yes. That's been an easy post pass so far today. He'll find it. There it is. There it is. Almost every miss on that spin. Oh, can you do it? Don't walk away. Don't walk away. He needed to watch what Carl did on ball one. Again. It's not over yet. But the misses on that right spin are pretty much, they're always early. It looks like it's an earlier shot, but once you get that out in, and boy, you want to talk about a guy who's been playing on fire. Drew has been outstanding. I saw him in Buffalo. I think he was the, I'm pretty sure he was the bus driver for that tournament. Some of the scores he put up on Classics, ridiculous. Look what he's already got here. He's got five points. It's now Carl and Shannon trying to catch him here. He's at least guaranteed a tie to go on to the next round. I had to play him in the first round. And then you're sitting here. He ran with it. Yeah. Drop targets are useless. Oh. Nice. That's a good save. Not lit. Doesn't matter. You got a few pops there. It's alright. Okay, here we go. This is a juicy one. I like the left spinner. And so does Drew. It's like 200,000. 250 maybe? Oh, get away. Let it bounce. There we go. He's going to do it again. On the fly. Okay. He waits. Afraid to tilt, I think. He didn't get it much. Carl Manhill was the thing. I think he kicked a few legs, too. A little bit of rage. You've got to go Bruce Banner on the thing right when it gets down there. Whenever Drew comes to our tournaments, we're always playing for second. Yeah. He's great, no question about it. So is this guy. I enjoy seeing Jeff every time I come here to Florida. He's got to be careful not to bounce from the other lane. I almost had that happen to me one time. But you'd get it back because you wouldn't hit a switch, but still. Oh, Jeff. No. Don't flip it. You know what? That shot aside, Jeff Palmer is a lights-out player. Tell me a little bit about Jeff. Oh, well, I mean, I've known him for a long time. He is a master of all eras of games. You think about people being, you know, a DMD player or an EM player. he's equally good at all games. He's been getting into EM games a lot more lately. Son Atticus? Son Atticus is also a great player. I think he was in the B Finals. He was in the B Finals. He also, he's been to IFP Nationals. Oh. So, yeah, awesome. Father-son pinball, another father-son pinball. When was that? When was that? Was it two years ago, maybe three? I'm not sure. Oh, wow. Yeah. Really good people, too. Yeah, very good. We've got a lot of nice people here in Florida. I enjoy coming here and seeing people I don't normally see. Yeah, I mean, we're a little geographically isolated from the rest of the country. So for people who don't travel much, we don't get down to Florida. We don't get out elsewhere. But there's a good tournament scene going on here. How dare the Simpsons call Florida America's Wang? How dare them? There's a guy we see a little bit. There's Pat. Yes. From Twitch. Yep. Seen him around all weekend. I'm sure he was doing some streaming. For sure. He last year brought TNA, I remember that. He did. I'm not sure if he brought anything this year. Don't know. That's the first time I played TNA was last year here. Yeah. Carl continues to pad his lead who cares it's multiball means nothing in this game yes it's great to be able to cradle up and if it comes back fine you got another ball but you don't change what your what your strategy is You just keep playing the same way. Yeah. If it happens, it happens. Poor Carl. A few weeks ago at Expo, he got attacked. He was on the Head-to-Head Pinball podcast. This Pinside Petey guy just got a hold of him, gave him a little interview. Carl's obviously the better man. You haven't been attacked by Pinside Petey. You're lucky. You're lucky. I so far, no. No. Dangerous guy. Now that my name is out there, I feel like I should go into witness protection. Yep. I have a feeling even if you went out of line there, you're still going to save it. Let's see. No! And he still didn't tilt. Not enough muscle, kid. Hit the weights. Oh, Carl I just said on the in lane before that, I said if he goes out lane, I bet he saves it anyway and you proved me wrong There's Pat Hey bud, nice to see you An almost wow Yeah, sure I wonder how much these games go for the TX sectors I don't know I'd love to have one as ugly as it is can't be too much I wouldn't think I really would like this game it's one of What are your favorite spinner games? This has got to be top five for sure. For me. Also in the bank, Grand Prix. I love Grand Prix. Grand Prix is a spectacular game. Just in general. I've always loved Space Shuttle. Okay. Because you can rip the targets beside it and increase them. I like Prospector. Oh, well done. Right? Yeah. A good Harlem's Nice? Yep. Nice. Spinners are so great. It's funny because when I grew up, like, from the 80s and 90s, there weren't a lot of games that had spinners. There was this kind of, like, I remember when World Cup Soccer came out, and I'm like, hmm, spinners, that's fun. Yeah, yeah. You know, I hadn't seen too many games like that. Tough one for Drew, but he's already safe because he's going to have at least six points with the going ahead of Shannon. So Jeff needs a lot of help here. Jeff, the max he can get is four. Right. That would put Shannon at state remaining at three. And Carl would be at four as well. No, he'd be at five. He'd be at five. That's right. So Jeff's playing for pride. Yeah. Playing for pride as Drew and Carl will advance to the finals. Meteor, Alien Star. Bingo. No kidding, Alien Star. Uh-oh. Oh. What else, Chat World? What are some other great spinner games? Nice tip pass. I love those passes. Another game I'd love to find is Alien Star. I had never seen that until a few years ago and now... By the way, Stargazer would be number one. Stargazer? Stargazer is so good. See that though? That's what I like about Jeff. Big smile there at the end there. Well, he knew where he was and... where he was. And he's immediately going to shake everyone's hand. He's a good sport. I like seeing Jeff Palmer. Didn't work out for him today, but... Let's see what the scores look like. So we're going to go to the finals now. Zenon? Uh, not... Eh. I don't know if Zenon's a favorite spinner game for me. Evil Knievel, not bad. Sure. It's a great game. Lady Luck. I don't know if I like anything on Lady Luck. Lady Luck? How do we ban Melko333 from the challenge? I'm kidding, buddy. Lady Luck. Stars? Yeah, you know what? Okay, Stars is not a bad choice. Stars, that's sure. We're looking for good spinner games. Five times spinner? I just don't like Lady Luck. I'm having fun with you. Do you think they could make a game that just had nothing but spinners in it? Heaven. Wasn't that the spinners behind spinners? Can I tell you what I did play in the other room? The remake of the Capcom Kingpin. The Mark Ritchie game with the spinners on the ramps. Bravo. Well done. Oh, that's a fun game. And good modes, too.
