## Analysis

Dead Flip hosts Day 2 of Bram Stoker's Dracula week, featuring competitive Pinburgh-format play (2-1-0 points to 5) with guests Erica DeMarco (Pinsane Clown Posse), Bob Twitchell (recent Pinball Chicago champion), and others. The video focuses on skill shot mechanics, multiball setup, bats mode, the Dracula coffin lock, and gameplay strategy, with hosts discussing quirks including a digital tilt debounce system, video mode, and a noted bug where drains with saves eliminate bonus points.

### Key Claims

- [HIGH] Bram Stoker's Dracula has a digital tilt system with debounce that allows one really hard shove — _Host explains tilt mechanics: 'It's a digital tilt, so you can hit it really hard once and it gives you like, it's called debounce, so it like, you get one really good shove out of it.'_
- [HIGH] Bats mode starts at 50 million points and counts down; if completed, the full amount is awarded for every ball in the set — _Host explains: 'starts at 50 million, starts counting down, but if you can complete it all, that amount that you get, you'll get every ball regardless.'_
- [HIGH] The game has a bug where draining and getting a save results in loss of bonus points — _Host acknowledges: 'And we just experienced a bug in this game where if you drain and you get a save when you drain, no bonus.'_
- [HIGH] There is a video mode accessible via a tight loop that is set to hard difficulty and involves shooting wolves — _Host explains: 'There's also a video mode on this, so if you hit this tight little loop here, that'll eventually spell video and when you get it, it's a video mode that we have set on hard that's like shooting wolves.'_
- [HIGH] The Dracula coffin lock requires completing a bank of three targets and then hitting a ramp, described as 'ridiculously hard' — _Host states: 'all like a bank of three of these and then get it off the ramp and those are your locks. It's ridiculously hard.'_

## Transcript

Oh, baby. Is that it? Folks, we'll get started in just a second. I forgot to do something. I have to use a restroom. All right, folks, welcome back. We've got another exciting day of Dracula for you. With me today we have Erica DeMarco from the Pinsane Clown Posse. You may remember Richie Townsend and Andy Elguire from last week. Actually, yesterday Richie was here. And Bob Twitchell from the recent Pinball Chicago champions, the Hooligans, here to embarrass me on some Dracula. We're going to do what we did yesterday, some Pinberg rules. two points for first place, one point for second place, zero points for last place. We'll play to five points and see who comes out on top. We're going to get a practice game in really quick, and then we will knock this out. Luke Champ already. Pinball Joe, welcome, brother. All right. The kill will finally be lifted. I don't have the keys right now, though, so we're going to have to go. All right. Erica, I'll let you go first. All right. And we will explain to you what's going on. So the skill shot on this is fun. So it's the face. So what you want to hit is this back target when that middle face is lit up. Okay, so when should I shoot it? The time is right when this face is about to turn into that face. So now, now. Gotcha. Yeah, you got it, and that will nail it for you. Perfect. One million points. So now what you're shooting for is that one that says mid-three, where it starts rocking the left frame. I am the last of my kind. there's a ramp underneath it. If you hit that a couple times, that ramp opens up. Then you get three balls to the side of there, and that's a multiple. Oh. Yeah. Those lightning flippers are tricky, man. I am the monster The breathing men There you go There you go I just hitting that ramp Good ball, good ball. All right, let's see what we got here. So, same thing. I'm going to do this out. See this dissolve in here? Flip that for me. Just right now? Yeah, right now. So, just once? Yep. Thank you. Right on. All right, so, skill shot. Beautiful. Trying to fall into that mystery hole real quick. Or miss it. I bet I was no newbie. This is... Practice game needed. Come on down. Oh, and I fumble. All right. All right, so... What am I aiming for now? The timing on the skill shot's a little different now because it's faster. And for the life of me, I can never remember. So I guess you want to shoot, like, maybe when that face is about to turn to that face. I can't really recall. But your shot now is going to be... The mystery's going to light up, so you're going to want to hit that. But try to milk either this ramp or this ramp. Just pick one. This one will start giving you a lot of points. but three hits to this will give you something called bats, which is a timed mode where if you hit enough shots in that period of time, it starts at 50 million, starts counting down, but if you can complete it all, that amount that you get, you'll get every ball regardless. And then this just opens up the coffin to start your multiball. So they both have some good importance. All right. Let's see. I don't understand the timing. There you go. Now that left ramp is tricky, but it's worth my time. They say you are the man of good taste. Ah! Sorry. That was good. Yeah, when that feeds down, if it's on here, shoot for that ramp. If it feeds down here, try to shoot for that ramp there. How touchy is the tilt on this? It's got a digital tilt, so you can hit it really hard once and it gives you like, it's called debounce, so it like, you get one really good shove out of it. There's also a video mode on this, so if you hit this tight little loop here, that'll eventually spell video and when you get it, it's a video mode that we have set on hard that's like shooting wolves, but when you get it, I'll explain it to you. Cool. Sorry about that. A moment's courage, and it is done. They say you are a man of good. Yeah, that rant's a pain in the butt, dude. There you go. So you see how the lights flashing in the background? That means your next ramp is going to give you bats And that that hurry mode that gives you all those points I can't find that damn timing. Liz? You got it, right? You just got the last kill shot. Yeah, what's the timing on the... Oh, jeez. I think, uh... That's it. Because when I shoot for the first one, my timing's different than what Nick's is. I think I was going from the right to the left. Okay. Maybe the second one is still slow enough for you. That could be. That could be. You meditate too much. Pizza fan, deep dish, love that shit. All right. Let's get this ramp on. All right. Oh, gosh. Oh, gosh. Live. I am the monster the breathing men would kill. There we go. It's a pain in the butt. You gotta like nail it just right. I'm like mule kicking over here to get it out there. So this is bad. It starts at 50 million. Anything that is a switch counts towards hitting stuff. So all those things are right now? Yeah, so anything, like literally, and I didn't get it. Oh well. All right, kill it, buddy. This one. Okay, now here's the special thing about ball three on this game. Your missed multiball, it's just ready for you to start it. So as soon as I get into mystery, it'll go? Yeah, so what you want to do is first thing, knock that out. It's going to start the ball drifting. And I just need to knock it off? Knock it off. And then any shot you make, any of the scoops, any major switches, it gives you 10 million points per shot. If you had another multiple to mix with that, that'd be awesome, but you're going to make a lot of points with this. So get that in there first thing and just start knocking it up. Cool. All right. Oh, hell yeah, you nailed it. Oh, and it falls in. All right. Here, push the machine really hard. Oh, take it. No, I'm not going to get it. That's fine, that's fine. If you give it, you throw your body into it. The ball is over, but you get to keep it. Yeah. You're able to throw your body into this machine for like one really good danger. Oh, right there. Ah, all right. And we just experienced a bug in this game where if you drain and you get a danger when you drain, no bonus. You didn't really have much of a bonus, but you lose it. So it teaches you to be a little safe about that because once you get bats and rats going, if you lose that, those are some major points you throw away. Alright Bob, show us what you got. Nice Ah that was for that one Nice What the hell You're a man. So this is wrapped. It's certified. There's like a scoot over here on the right just above the screenshot. It's just like that. So if you complete the mode, it points you get every single ball. But if you get like all 50 million back, you have to get 200 million points for your last game. Oh, you didn't even get rats. I thought you finished that. All right, let's see what we got here. Fuck you. I cannot get that. All right. get that. Alright. Dracula. Open up, buddy. Oh, crap. Oh, crap. There we go. Alright, If I can open up Dracula the coffin now, I can start getting 20 millions. Crap. Someone, no, don't drain. I hate you. Of course, now it opens. You suck. This target bank is death. It's just freaking dope. All right, now that we're all warmed up, you ready? Alright, let's kill it. Let's get this rules stuff going. Uh, who would like to go first? Or do you want to flip for it? Do you want to use practice games for us? On that order? You, Bobby? Yeah, that's fine. Yeah, I'll start us off. We got, we got Jack, we got Bob, buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh buh And Erica with a C. Thank you. Alright. Beautiful. Okay, this is for keeps. Here we go. Love it. Thought I missed it. Fall in. Fall in. They say you are the man of... See, that gave me 10 million because I hit the flippers while I was inside of there. Instead of the 5. Interesting bug I did not know about. And it is done. Oh, farts. Live. Live. No! okay okay okay I am the monster the reason you made it with you and there goes my castle lock nope got it and that's the third multiple ball what you have to do is you have to nail these all like a bank of three of these and then get it off the ramp and those are your locks it's ridiculously hard Oh, I got it. Come on. There we go. Shit. Ugh!
