## Transcript

And we are back! Big Show 006. This is of course We Suck At Video Games. My name is Mal and with me as always the lovely and talented... Craft Bruce Alley. I'm Johnny Pneumonic, a woman of the world. I'm here to talk about a wee games, sometimes a little bit of other stuff here and there. We did not buy any games this week, we were just reflecting upon that. Oftentimes we're out digging around in thrift stores and yard sales and whatnot. We were trying to, weren't we? Yeah, didn't find anything. Yes, indeed. We did get a quite a good haul for the Switch. Yes. What do we got? We got the new Zelda book. Yes, bound and... Hardcover? Because hardcover books are the best books. We have a pretty nice game library. Yeah. We haven't read that one yet though. No. We really got to start playing that. I don't think it's gonna happen because... Because we're playing Wii games. Because we're playing Wii games, keeping current with the kids. Keeping up with all the kids playing Wii games, and of course we're doing it for the girls. Yes, and also a, you know... And Pikminster's coming. Yes. Pikminster IV if anybody is interested. Yes. Pikminster IV is going to be released. Yes, it is. Tomorrow, I think. But when are you getting yours? Tomorrow? No. Like freakin' Monday. Hey, damn you, Target. I have a four-day weekend and no, no Pikminster. That is the, you know, the risk of buying stuff online, now it might get updated unless that's the final shipping. I should check now while we're on. No, you should not. That's not good radio. So, it is also like sometimes they mess up and you get it the day before and then sometimes you sit there for a week. I did not get it today. And sometimes you're sitting there for a week and listening to people going, this is the greatest game ever and you're like. That's what happened when we got Zelda. Sure is. Yeah. Oh. Yeah, cause we pre-ordered. Fool me 10 or more times, shame on me. Thanks Target. Yeah, thanks Target. But we're not here to talk about that wackiness. No. We're here to talk about, what game are we here to talk about? We are here to talk about Indiana Hilton Jones, I'm sorry, Lego IndianaJones. The original adventures, wowzers for the Wii. Now as customary I'm going to read the back of the box so you know what they're telling us we're going to play. Build, battle and brawl your way out of trouble. Play through all three classic Indiana Hilton Jones movies and relive your favorite indie adventures in the tongue in cheek world of Lego. So, you know, I'm not sure if that's exactly, I guess that is exactly how it is. We also like to set the mood for when was this game? Like what was this game? So we're going to all, we all dig out our notes. So what, you know, are this game was released on June 3rd of 2008. Rolling hard on Tuesday. Yeah. Another Tuesday. Yes. I think maybe that was the thing. It was that they must've been the thing, you know? So yeah. So he's set the mood June 3rd. I have lollipop by Lilwayne. So, my fun fact for June 3rd, 2008. So, since we're doing an Indiana Hilton Jones game review, the number two movie was actually Indiana Hilton Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. That's terrifying. That's a fun fact. Was it that long ago? Are you sure? That's what it said. That's what the internet said. Well, that's gotta be true. Wow. Oh my god, I've been making fun of that movie for that long? Yes. Eighteen... So like fifteen years I've been making fun of that terrible, terrible movie. Wow. Okay. So my fun fact is that Chile and Peru have finally signed the Treaty of Lima. And they finally have resolved their border dispute from the War of the Pacific. You remember that war from 1879 to 1883 No You do remember it And you were like oh damn you Peru and Chile can you just get along And then they finally were like on June 3rd 2008 they were like yes we can I'm sure they've lived in peace and harmony ever since signing that treaty. Because we all know treaties and official government documents really, really, really change everything. Yep. Do you have your sarcasm meter plugged in by any chance? It's off the charts. I think you just smashed it. Oh, sarcasm meter. It's really useful. Anyway, quotinging Simpsons. There you go. So this was developed by Travelers Tales and LucasArts. Just like the last one, right? I think so. Yeah. So I don't think LucasArts though. No, no, no. The last one was Disney. The last one was Disney and the other one was Lucas, which is kind of the same now. I've awesome and don't repeat asked him still before you accidentally kill me on the face. Yeah yeah I'll. And vaccinated است면 engaged me in fortillas. Okay. I I filled in one of рав Words don't ľ I think this one is more based on the movie where the other one was kind of not unless we just didn't get far enough in the pirates to get to like the yeah like the pirates had all the stuff there yeah but like the the scenes that we were playing weren't like it didn't it didn't remind me of the movie it was like right they were there more of a tutorial but not a tutorial yes yes Yes, very, very... Yes. Now, now this one here and I did play it a little bit and I forget why it got me, I got frustrated right away with it. I was just like, oh this game is stupid. Cause you died a lot. Cause we both died a lot. And that frustrates you. Well, on this kind of... No. No, like on this kind of game. No, it frustrates you. No, I know but I mean on this kind of game... No. You know what else frustrates me? Trying to say a sentence and getting cut off over and over. But, who am I? I'm not some Lego guy. constructional Pinballpieces clamp with pinball Presiding highly up persuadedقت Darn. None All games. None. So, Lago games, they make you go through these things, and then once you get to the end of it then you unlock free quella you want to go back and play that same scene in free piston with IG you can explore they're not killing you constantly they don't remember thid be wa hd going to want to hit it for you play and that might well sign嘛 comment section What if there was another Pinball This video should include. give me moreRob Sood areiency're Canadians have more areciaż can Not how if do I can What is my deal with the pot aim already it s a I a communication theaterண s s on die pot east s i i t i e voy go teh hell fi you play still vil not play perfectly Christie Merry-Knet summons via mail at I like oh yeah because like we just played that one and I was playing this and I was like this is the same It just the same Like yeah and I can see where this would get fatigued because I know they have a hundred of them They have Batman they have Star Wars they have Harry Potter They literally have a hundred of these games everything you can think of And you kind of like well how many of these could you play Honestly I think it more geared towards kids because you can die a thousand times and it doesn really matter There's no stage. Because you just pick up the little gems anyway. Exactly. And so you didn't really lose anything. Right. And that way you can just keep playing. Yeah. Now this is out on every system ever in the world. Yeah. DS even like these are where we're at. That's where I played it originally was on the DS. I do like Indiana Hilton Jones a lot. And that's one of those ... it's weird because it's one of those franchises that I always say, oh, I love Indiana Hilton Jones but I don't really. I like the first one, hate the second one. Third one is okay, hate the Crystal Skull. What a catchy pitch frogs ontake. The Pinballenseful, pinball Pinball competency bedeARYaguz?. Congratulations on still having cartilage in your knees, Skinny Max. And played it for a second time in 2022. My favorite parts are the hidden Star Wars Easter eggs. Very lovely. The developers put a lot of effort into the characters and world design. Even if it was 2008, definitely worth a try. So very good on that. Those are getting harder and harder to find, but they're out there every now and then you can find one. So now whose turn is it to pick one of these gems? I believe it is mine. I think you're right. Okay. Let me double check though. We're gonna, we'll be right back. Let me reference my notes. The extensive notes of Craft Brew Sally. Alright, stay tuned and we'll be right back with this week's pick for next week. Do you have your chopsticks ready? I do. My official Hello Kitty chopsticks have chosen this week... Wow! Guitar Hero Van Halen! I'm so excited. You are so excited. I know. I haven't played a Guitar Hero since Sarah was with us. Oh, one of our exchange students who played Guitarhero very well and we played it a lot I think. Yeah. Oh, that's right. Sarah was the Guitarhero queen. She was also the like shooting game queen. She didn't like to play Mario Kart with me very much. No, she did not. She did not like to lose. Like father like exchange, like exchange daughter I guess. Yeah. All right. So if you want to play along, next week is Guitarhero From Van Halen. Is that the official way that's written? It must be. Alright. So how can people reach us if they want to drop us a line and say something nice? They can email us at wewii suck at at videogames at gmail dot com. We suck at video games. The reason she's saying that is because the logo is confusedly W-I-I-S-U-C-K, the at symbol, video games. And of course that's not how you do email. So it's W-I-I-S-U-C-K-A-T-V-I-D-E-O-G-A-M-E-S at gmail.com. Drop us a line. You'll be glad you did. Did you have anything else? We also have to give a shout out to our number one fan. Oh yeah, right. He wrote again. He did. and captivating----- I don't think that's going to happen, but we'll call him Yosemite Glenn. No, we'll say Yosemite Sam. Sure. Yosemite Sam. Holy crap, that's a lot of words. We will figure out a way to make it sayable because I'm not. The English language eludes me often. Can you say what it is one more time? Yosamity Sam Toucan Sam? Yosamity Sam? No. See? No. I can't. I can't even read it once. What are you talking about? Let me see. Let me see. Okay. As for my name, I feel I need to stay within the Looney Tunes universe with a breakfast cereal twist. Okay, that makes sense. Call me Toucan SammyYosamitySam. So you're going to have to jot that down in your book of notes. We will of course going forward honor your wish Mr. Sam. Mr. Toucan SammyYosemiteSam. T-S-Y-S. We might have to verify if he was drunk or sober when he wrote that. But I think we all know the answer to that. Are we drunk or sober saying this? I don't know. We will see you next week where we will have rocked out completely to some guitar hero, Van Halen. It's a good choice. Van Halen's a pretty good band. I didn't like them when I was younger, but I do like them. I started liking them more when I got away from high school because bro-y dudes listened to Van Halen and I was not one of them. Doesn't matter. We'll see you next week, everyone. Thanks for listening. We suck at video games. Big show 6. That's it man. Game over man. Game over.
