## Transcript

Hello wonderful pinball people. I'm Davey from Stumbler Pinball. This is the Stumbler Workshop in London, UK. And this, as I'm sure you already know, is the Lolly version 3. We released version three of the Lolly board 18 months ago and has been happily powering your favorite mods ever since. Not one to rest on our laurels, we've been busy building new functionality to make this board even better. We've collaborated again with Melvin from American Pinball to develop the Lolly X, a supercharged version of the Lolly board specifically designed to deal with the requirements of a topper, such as SD card storage and the ability to play sounds. But today, we're instead going to be focusing on functionality we're rolling out across the entire Loly platform. And we're going to be seeing it in action on our new mod for Dungeons and Dragons, the Not Another Mimic mod. Let's get stuck right in. So, we're now over on Dungeons and Dragons. We can see uh the mimic mod uh sitting in his place with his eyes sort of flickering in his at rest position. Uh, one thing uh, you'll notice uh, that's different from the last time we demonstrated this mimic mod is that we've made a few improvements for production. He's now sitting on a resin plinth. Uh, it's sort of like a dungeon floor with purple drool dripped across the stones. And he's also sitting on a custom uh, purple plastic that replaces the the original plastic uh, that goes in the game. He is hooked into the vertical upkicker um switch in here. And you can see if I can grab a ball and thread it in there, then he'll trigger and do his animation. So, at the moment, he's just doing a single opening of his mouth animation, um which is just the standard thing that uh he'll ship with. Um, but interestingly, uh, we've made a few improvements to the way the servos can operate, uh, in the Lolly version 3, which means you've got a lot more gran granular control over that animation that he ends up doing. Um, so I'm over onto the Stumbler app here, and I've got the mimic pulled up. We're on the servo page, uh, which has all the settings for the servo, which is the mouth, uh, servo that that controls his mouth movement. Um, and you can see that at rest he's at uh 0% uh sorry 0 degrees and when sensor one is triggered uh he opens up to 180° and you can see if I click test here then he performs his mouth opening animation. Now if instead I choose uh a different value for for what to do when that triggers. Let's try exact value. Um, so you can see if I he'll only open a certain amount if I then choose a much lower value, but instead of exact value, let's try um play recorded movement. Now, this is interesting because it allows you to input exact values in here and then record what you're doing um as part of that process. So, if I then click start recording and play a play a pattern, then when I trigger that animation, he then replays that pattern that I've put in. One of the other really cool features is too is that that pattern can be completely dependent on uh the microphone of your phone. So, if I just click on the microphone button there and then talk, you can see he's now following my mouth movement sounds. Let's record that and see what happens. Hi, I'm a mimic. And then test that again. I am a mimic. So, that enables you to do lots of really fun stuff uh with this and really put your own spin on uh your own mimic uh and get him to do exactly what you want to do um in relation to uh that trigger going off in the game. So, one of the other things that we didn't go into a lot of detail on during the initial teaser video for the mimic were the lanterns. Um, now these lanterns are act as replacements for the spotlights in the game. Um, and have this fire pattern uh flashing away on one side and they have a a uh spotlight on the other side to add more um light onto the playfield. DND tends to be quite a dark game anyway. Um, so we definitely don't want to be taking away um too much of the existing light. Um, now these are an optional extra. Um you can add these uh onto your mimic order um at the time of checkout. Um and they are all controllable uh by the same lolly board uh and on the app as well. So you can see that um I've got fire one uh set up here. Um and if I change the color on this side, you can modify sort of what the color is um that's shining out the back of the lantern. And likewise, um, the spotlight can be changed as well, um, depending on sort of what color you want that spotlight to be. When, uh, each of those slings is triggered, the lantern changes color to purple, and the spotlight on the other side changes as well. There's two of these, one on each side. You can see spotlight over there. And they're both shining towards the dragon. And if I grab a pinball and shake that triggered up and hopefully that gives you a bit more information on those lanterns. Okay, thanks a lot guys. Thanks for watching. I'll see you soon. Bye-bye.
