it did my new bass guitar showed up today from the fender custom shop that i've been waiting eight months for that's awesome wow okay so what's what what when you order a bass guitar and and you're gonna sit on a waiting list for eight months what makes you what's different enough about a bass guitar just assume i have never played bass guitar so i know nothing about it uh anything you order from the fender custom shop you can they can basically do anything you want as long as you have enough money because you're literally hand picking every part of it okay got it so they take it and literally build it for you okay did you get some cool art or did you just pick out like all of the individual components because you wanted a very specific sound i got a fender jazz bass with a p-neck a sunburst finish on the body uh it's got 12 strings instead of four and all of the uh actual metal hardware on it is painted gold to match the sunburst sorry it's a 12 string bass guitar yeah um and is it like a 12-string guitar and that you don't really individually play the other six strings they just they're right next to the other one so when you strum it you end up strumming 12 strings is it like that but there's four strings but there's three of them packed very close together uh it's like the average four strings on a bass guitar it's just that there's more of them okay cool and fun craft says gilby has a mostly monochromatic background in that clip oh it would be even funnier if you could chroma key it that's a really good point like put him on a very different background oh by the way snivy needs poem ideas and board want to write something need to prepare for hell apparently someone might be asking me to convert a translation russian kids cartoon shorts lines into english poetic verse i get requests like that all the time i already had to do one for them and got paid for it that's awesome snivy that is really cool and how very specific sniper you want poem ideas write a poem about the short story that i wrote for speech class and senior year i can tell it to you right now it's that short so this one time i was eating this sandwich right and well i'm not going to bore you with all the details but three days later it got infected and then she died okay there you go there's your palm idea you know it's funny i was actually just discussing the the concept of um there are some i'm gonna switch back to chat no no this is this is fun there are wait no oh no got it yeah rest in peace to your your friend who uh it got infected and then she died but um there are some songs that tell a story right and there's some songs which maybe uh are called okay but would you call um okay let me think about that for a second i didn't have the the words or the terminology to describe it but like uh um oh my god the the one about pina coladas do you like pina coladas being a story about two people who both make classifieds ads uh they they're they're in a marriage and they're both trying to find someone else and they fall back in love or rekindle their relationship when they find each other in the classifieds it's like a it's a story is that a technically a ballad any song that tells a story classifies as a ballad okay there now how do you differentiate between let's go with britney spears um you better work [ __ ] with uh with something maybe like the pina coladas which is maybe more narrative as opposed to an idea or a thought or something along those lines that's trying to be explained like in in work [ __ ] that's not a ballad something narrative driven like like uh uh r kelly is trapped in the closet that's a bad one okay so just in general anything that tells a story is is a ballad and then after that it's it's like versions of a ballad or do they just all funnel into the concept of a ballad it it has to be more narrative driven like that like weird al's albuquerque or uh exactly mr hardlock alice's restaurant is a perfect example of a
