Hello, MPT3K here live and direct from unfortunately a closed free goal watch once again because California back into the red zone. But I have another guest. I have two rock stars in one week. This is awesome. We have Jay from Scorbit. Hey, everybody. Right there, because everything's opposite. What's up, Jay? It's good to see you, man. Absolutely. It's good to be seen. In this global pandemic, we know how to have fun. Yeah, yeah. We're trying. We're trying. This is Bill coming to you live from Scorbit HQ Lab. I see. We got to talk about those games behind you. I mean, these are the games that built Scorbit, right? Just these games. Yeah, a lot of these. Absolutely. Some you may recognize. We've got our TNA back there. That was Zax from Free Build Watch for a long time. And he has loaned that to Scorbit for development, which you may have seen. So, Jay, tell us a little bit about just catch me up with, we turned this machine on the other day. We did an update, a software update, and now it's score bit ready. Yeah, yeah. So understand that Jersey Jack machines, starting with Guns N' Roses, but then, hey, score bit. starting with Guns N' Roses but working retroactively, all are getting Wi-Fi, which means that if you have a GNR shipped to you with Wi-Fi already enabled, and if you have an older Jersey Jack machine, you will be getting updates in the future which enable Wi-Fi with a little Wi-Fi dongle. And so that was happening. and everybody got their GNRs with the ability to do these over-the-air updates, which is so cool. It just is such a game-changer. Let me see if I can turn you on, Jay. Okay. And I can turn myself up, too. Yeah, why don't you turn yourself up a little bit because I got you maxed. Brian is in the chat. What's up, Brian? Okay. Hey, Brian. So can you turn up Jay? All right. Well, I can also. I can crank him up a little bit, too. Let's see. It's possible he's competing with the rest of the stuff in here. Thank you for that, Brian. I'm going to pump him up three decibels. Let's see. See if 3 dB will do it. Hello, this is a test. This is a test. 1, 2, 1, 2. How's that? It's a test. Is that better? There we go. I'm going to take off the auto adjustment, and I'm going to turn myself up this loud. How's that, Brian? that should be good better all right awesome better okay all right well so everybody got their wi-fi which is a big deal and i think a wonderful uh innovation in and of itself and uh we surprised everybody by sliding scorebit functionality into the latest guns and roses update and what's uh you know if you know about score that and we can talk about that later but what's really important is it's a hundred percent free of charge so anybody with the Jersey Jack machine who downloads and activates the score bit feature which is in the menu is 100% free and you'll be able to use all the fancy score bit features without having to do anything that I am to spend a dime well besides the cost of the pinball machine but Jersey Jack machines are cheap so you know well let's hope Jack doesn't watch this but let's take a look at this so we're going to full menu we're going to utilities what's up Blitzronite boom there we go, Scorbit so what you do is with your Scorbit app you add the machine to the SCORBIT app by, it's like a virtual version of the machine. And then you come into this menu and you use the SCORBIT app to scan it and it connects the virtual version of that machine to the actual version of the machine. There it is. So that's the app for everybody to see. And we have demos of this stuff online. We did this interview with This Week in Pinball where we posted a great demo of how it all works. I saw that. That was cool. This is the best online demo yet because this is the first time anyone has seen a video of these features integrated in Guns N' Roses. And I'm embarrassed to say I'm the one that's playing. But anyway, Fliptronic says, Since it's a, well, I don't know, is it a P-Rock system? Since it's a P-Rock system, can someone like API integrate just as easy? So the short answer to that is a P-Rock system can integrate with us extremely easily. Two ways. One way is if it has network capability, it can hit our API. and we will be publishing a developer API spec in the future, although if you're a manufacturer, you can come to us now. And that's going to come out soon. We're not going to take too long on that. But also, for example, with the spooky games like TNA, you just plug in with a USB cable. And the game code sends us the information to a Scorbitron across the USB. So you can take a Scorbitron, the same Scorbitron that you install in a Spike 2 or install in a solid state machine, that same Scorbitron has a USB input and you can connect it directly into the P-Rock there. Whatever the MPU happens to be for your P-Rock system. And the API is great because it's much easier. It takes a lot less effort. Yep. Right, and we love that. All right. NoNoZor, thank you for the follow. Check out Scorbit on the stream, demoing an 8-ball deluxe. Yes, that's right, we did that. And that was fun, actually. I had a handlebar mustache back then. Yeah, you did. I had short hair and a handlebar. Now I've got my COVID cut. Yep. I got mine, too. It's the way when I play pinball. It hangs in my face. Mine is hidden under here. There's Matt and Victoria. They're the only ones here. So let's do this. We're going to take a look at some of the coolness. Now, obviously, the checkbox feature of Scorebit is scores, right? So you can see I have a scoreboard underneath me. In fact, I want to put my name in. So I'm going to go to the game and... And you're going to claim your slot. Claim my slot. Just press the... Once you get the game... Have you started the game? I haven't started the game yet. Okay, yeah. So once the game starts... Okay. You'll see on the app the slots associated with that game. That's magic. Now, if you touch player one, there it is. You see the score appear on the stream? It's a beautiful thing. Boom. Now, you can change that name, too, if you want. I have it as Manu Smith. Yeah, you can have a display name or a full name or a username. The other thing that I should point out, since we're all looking at this broadcast here, is that that lower third you have in that box that says your name right now, that is provided by a product of ours called scorebit vision right which is a set of tools that are web tools including one for streaming which is great you know templates for amateur streamers and and all that kind of and head-to-head um and then the other bit of scorebit it's a little harder to explain but above money's head it says game on and ball one that's actually a cut from the score division scoreboard which actually will show you game modes as you playing and so it not just what your score is we are being raided marco pinball just raided us with 42 people marco you guys are an absolute legend legends thank you so much uh flip tronic we love marco marco is awesome flip tronic Like, you are so, you're right there. So, yes. Everything you said, yes. Just for our friends. I'm catching up. All right. Yep. Absolutely. I mean, why not? Why not? So. We've got. Go ahead. How about Scorbit integration for Twitch? Yes, that is exactly right. Oh, Scorbit. So just so you guys know, Marco Pinball, thank you for the raid. Everybody who just joined us, we're talking to Jay Adelson of Scorbit, and we're showing off some of the features. This is the Guns N' Roses LE. Jersey Jack has rolled out, in addition with Scorbit, has rolled out integration of Scorbit with their machines. So as you can see, we're just talking. We just started. We just started. I just started flipping. Jay is in the chat. He can answer all your questions. I got my score here As well as there And game state Game on, ball one I'm going to play a little Let me know if I need to lower my volume or whatever Jay, I'm going to give you the microphone And I'm going to blow this up Thank you for the compliment On the hair I'm not sure the whole family agrees with you On this one But this is my COVID cut It's going to stay for a while I got rid of the handlebar though he's doing well I like the handlebar it may come back it may come back alright so yes I'm loving this so game on now isn't that a a low score for a second ball I mean I don't know how the game plays Jay come on really no no I know I'm just wondering like I don't know I've never actually played the game I need to see the moves work so that's why I'm asking and you get to multiball for me. I'm trying to show you the low-hanging fruit right now. Of course. The low-hanging fruit is ball number and the fact that the game started. You totally have to do this. Get in everybody's arcade. Hideaway Arcade, absolutely. I want to see this. You know, it was fun. As this update rolled out and everyone downloaded it to their machine and turned it on and activated score bit, Our servers were going doink, doink, doink as every single machine, every Guns N' Roses in the nation is just turning on. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen. I know. Yeah. It was the best. You were telling me how it was crazy. As soon as Corbett hit this update, it was just like bang, bang, bang. All right. So there's an example of a short game. Game over. Yes. That is cool. that right there is a big deal. That was hard just to get that. But the developers and Eric and all the guys at JJP actually have it set to send you something that you might unlock. See, I don't know yet what it's going to say. So I want to see. Alright, so I see questions. Is there any SMS integration built in to send text to an operator. Not yet, although that is in our development plan. We're going to have it so that on any machine that you're submitting scores to, whether a Scorbatron's in it or not, you could send a message to the operator. Because you can use this app without a Scorbatron. Not as cool, but you can. Let's see. Does the app have push notifications built in? It almost. Wow. I don't think he's just, I want it to be. We'll get it there. You hear that? Brian's in the chat, so he's probably going to. Oh, no pressure. No pressure. He's my teacher, too. He's probably really sad right now. Pinball diagnosis. Well, so it's interesting. Riku Winku asked the question about pinball diagnostics. So we had a whole bunch of operator features that we were going to roll out very quickly back in March when we were going to originally launch at TPF in 2020. And as you know, everyone knows the world changed a little bit. And we knew that operators were going to be playing these games in their homes. A lot of people with home rentals. A lot of operators that were not going to be getting a lot of plays. So we flip-flopped our plan and focused on a lot of the features around players and kind of hunkered down and got some of those features ready. But the operator features, a lot of them coming in 2021, are exactly what you would expect them to be. Like just to make everything easier for an operator to not just make money from a machine, but to manage it. Uh-oh. No, nothing. Is that Young Axel? Or is that... I don't know. What's up, Captain 12? I love it. TPF, another great game. Once I do get a great game, I can submit it over Scorebit, and it goes to the global leaderboards. That's right. Yeah, and we learned within like two weeks of launching the company on September 3rd just how many different kinds of leaderboards people can invent in their games. so you know we have the leaderboard for a specific machine because all the feedback we got from operators is that well of course it would be specific to a machine because they're all a little bit different but then as soon as we rolled out they're like we want global leadership right so we roll that out and then you know a lot of the arcades uh that that had opened up were telling us that they wanted leaderboards that only lasted a week or a month or leaderboards that were specific to an event or that kind of thing. And so we basically got to create. We have a scoreboard vision allows you to create leaderboards and we're going to add a bunch of different criteria to those leaderboards. You can make any leaderboards you want with a public URL and share it and embed it and do whatever you want. This is cool, man. Throw the lights. I love that it says that, honestly. Brian, are you seeing this? That's cool. All right. Ignite the flames. See, I know exactly the major in that. Ignite the flames. Now, when we hooked up Total Nuclear Annihilation, Scott Danesi was incredibly cooperative. He was telling us all the things he wanted for the game. because I want the modes in it now. I want them now. Right. And they're like, uh, but... So I'm like, team? Hey, little bubblegum. How to pull in mode stuff through Scorvision. Well, so there's... Right now, the only way you can see the mode stuff in our current release is through Scorvision scoreboards. and that's just because it was very easy for us to implement. But our API has all that information. So we do have some streamers who have been basically taking the Scorbit Vision endpoints that they can sort of curl by looking at how Scorbit Vision works and use those. But the plan is soon to release a developer API designed so that you can code your own integration with that. That's huge. Yeah, and then you can trigger off of it and do whatever you want. It's a browser source. It is, you know, there is a, in fact, Little Bubblegum is asking about is it a browser source, you know, versus window capture or screen capture. It's a browser source. You can, or Jedi McMuffin, what does it entail? Yeah, you can, in fact, just go to a URL you created in the Scorbit Vision and plug it into OBS source, and it will work fine. And you can adjust that. So on Scorbit Vision, you can choose a full template that allows you to chroma key in your cameras, and that it has the scores integrated into it. Or you could choose to just have, like Rhino has here at the bottom of the screen, a score that you can either turn the key off of, or you can integrate the way it integrated right now We going to add the modes to that as well in the near future So that is really fun stuff I love by the way the camera on your fingers Because it's like, it tells me what I need to know about what you're doing. Yeah, I'm not cheating. Is that why people put, I think it gives me a sense of your nudge. A little bit. It's also more cameras better, right? How many cameras? What's the most amount of cameras you've ever seen? Well, ask Don't Panic Flip. He knows. Wow, look. He's into it. See the jackpot's going up. I think I want that number, too. I want the jackpot number. I'll have to talk to... There's a jack about that. Outstanding. We don't have jackpot states. We're in song mode. Look at that. So it should tell me what song. Wait, is that Axl? Yes it is. I don't know. I don't think so. That's a lot of work for one million. That's amazing. what did I miss this is this is this is beautiful it's a song mode so now I have no idea so if this is a good Jersey Jack game it has like 750 moons you have to memorize yeah I wanted I want to point out something about this game though look at the look at the light in the back it's like a friggin miniature It's a miniature, like, it's a stage show. Stage light. That is insane. Yeah, I was watching an interview with Slash about it, and he was talking about how they wanted to create a concert experience. I don't know about you guys, but this is about as close as a pinball machine can get to a concert experience. I, uh, I love it. You were in chipmunk voice the entire time you said that. That's the best kind of voice. So I have the sound obviously turned way down so we can hear Jay and stuff. But when you play this game in real life, it's like being in a freaking concert. No joke. No joke. Yeah, that's amazing. And with that big screen. That is really cool. So what else we got in the chat going on? Let's see. How many mods are on this table? There are zero mods. This is an LE, so it's pretty much stock right now. That's pretty cool. And thank you for the follow, Disk System. thank you TJ and Zach and all the people who have you know Mike over at Flipper Room for all their help in providing machines to help us get Scorbit ready for our launch back in September yeah very very happy with the community here in the Bay Area and all they've done to help us J.M. McMuffin normally streams at 5,000 to 6,000 jeez that's a nasty kick out hey Brian if you're in the chat have you gotten to play Guns N' Roses yet I am curious Brian is still in the chat I'm sure where it says don't panic throw the lights is that system state yes that is system state Mr. Don't Panic it is a provided by the game so the game code is sending that to score bits api and so we will be able to provide that to you directly uh via the api soon yeah you know and uh and there's a certain amount of um we've set it up so that in addition to game states like multiball or you know ball locked um and the traditional states we also So there's a certain amount of creative sort of freeform ability for a pinball designer to put any state they want. Oh, there we go. Slash solo. Sorry, I just wanted to interrupt and say, Scorbid knows that I'm in slash solo, so just saying. Oh, oh, don't get stuck there! yeah the game modes are to say the least uh going to change a lot probably as updates come out because because you know uh Eric Meunier and whoever all the all the folks who basically create these games now going forward as they design them will be thinking about how to communicate this stuff out but uh jersey jack has said they are going to go back across all their titles and set up all those game states for us. Yeah. You know what? Brian, we will figure out a way to get a GNR in your hands. We're going to have to figure it out. Got it. That was the worst. Oh, that sucked. The frigging, I had to spin the record, but the post was in the worst spot ever. I mean, it's finished. That's, I mean, how is that any different than any pinball machine design you've ever seen? It's not going to be easy. I thought Scorbit was going to help me in that situation. Jay, if that's your real name. Yeah, it's not. Why didn't Scorbit help me play? I'm trying to think like how, like in real life, Is there anything scorebit could actually do during a game to help someone play? Not for me. You know, I think in a multiplayer game, maybe, where you're looking at the other player's information on the app while they're playing. Strategy. I don't know. It's funny, because at the tournaments, they all want the final score, and they don't want to be distracted during the game play. So what new features can we talk about that we're working on? Let's see. I mean, you know me. I'm not very good at stuff. I like talking way too much about features we're working on. You know, I think the next things that we're going to see are some fundamental stuff that the users have been asking for. Things like automatic score submission. particularly for home players who are like one person playing a game for a while things we have a version coming out that will allow you to scan a QR code and it will take you right into the game session without having to navigate through the app and do all that kind of stuff which will be very very cool I do agree that if Scorbit could cheer you on it would be a psychological motivator. Thanks for the idea, Hyacinth. It's a good one. I'm putting DSK for Disk System. Who was the last person to follow? Uh-oh. Oh. If-else. If-else-if. If-else-if is the best name ever. Outstanding. You could be notified when a competitor's score beats yours or they drain when you win. You could combine that with simple historical-based calculations to make a best guess in real time on whether they're projected to beat you. Wow. Well, then as long as we're going, we should go full on wagering, right? No, I don't think that's legal. I don't think so. Do some kind of money ball predictive analytics. we actually do have throughout the course of the game a record of all of the scores and mode changes over a time axis and so we're trying to figure out the best way to present that yep to the users um now obviously through our website we have a we have a couple websites that our users have access to the vision.scorbit.io we already talked about um the other piece was of course, tools.scorebook.io, and we'll put things on there that don't fit well into a phone. But, yeah, Brian, achievements. Achievements are sort of like two different problems that we've solved. Obviously, the first one being, have you unlocked the achievement? And not just from scores, but also from all sorts of metadata that may be relevant, like have you played all the games of Three Gold Watch? and what have you. But the other thing about achievements is the design side which is to say to a game designer who designed a game in the mid all right you know it time for you to go back to that game and create a bunch of achievements for it. Right. And give these designers access to go back and create all those, which is something that we're definitely going to do. And then the rest of them, Manu, you're going to have to come up with the rest of the achievements for the rest of the 500 titles. I can come up with a few. I can come up with a few. Well, that's definitely... Why not have achievements that are specific to a game that an owner creates or to a venue? So we're doing all of that stuff. Does the score bit literally get access to every single switch and how often it trips? No, that's not how it works. you know things like Pinduino which you know actually look at it's it's something that the amount of data that would be required for the older games in particular really present to you that would be a challenge it's not impossible we have a CPU a prototype CPU code that we're working on that theoretically we could use that to completely recreate and maybe even like if you like watching hockey like watching the ball trail kind of thing and we thought a lot about that and what kind of data would make sense it's uh it's sort of like the low-hanging fruit comes first we launched in september through 2021 making sure we have a solid set of features that everybody loves the ability for people to play many tournaments with each other to challenge each other. We have that in the app right now. When you finish the game, you can challenge someone to beat your score. But what's coming is a more sophisticated layer of challenges, and that will be really fun for people to play. That was pretty baller right there. Did you guys see that? That Star Trek shot I did? That away mission shot that I just did? Sorry, you were saying, Jay? Sorry. no no I love it yeah so so the so the nature of the data that comes across the line whether it's across a serial line or directly into our API it's going to change based on the game and for the older games that's up to us that's up to the scorebit team and maybe crowdsourcing out to come up with really good achievements that are common across all of them. And then our score-betron, which sits inside the machine, has the ability to know when these different conditions have been met. Because we do keep state. For the older games, you see, look, the D&D displays it's right. So if a load is displayed on a D&D, we know it. And I would even take it a step farther than that. Because we keep state, and we keep score, when the animation changes and it's no longer displayed on the screen, we still know it. And so we still know what the score is. And so there's lots of different uses of that data in that situation, but there's obviously, with the new games, an opportunity for them to decide what that test is, and ignite the flames. and pass that along to us. And it just speeds up the whole process for us a lot. I was working on a template. We make these templates for the older games where you're going through and you're writing down every mode that the game has. Now, for somebody like Brian O'Neill and Manu and George, you guys all play these games a lot, and you probably know these modes. You're like, oh, yeah, of course. when the other day I was doing X-Men, which I don't know why anyone should ever have to play that game. Wait a minute. You got people who love that game in chat right now. You know, it's just too many modes. I mean, it's too much. It just took a really long time for me to map it all out, not being someone who's played it a ton. So I think I see a future where we're sort of crowdsourcing to all of you guys some of the development of the achievements and mode translation. But we'll get the basics out there right away. It would be a lot of fun. I'm putting IFE in there for if, if, else. If, if, else. Do you have actual initials? I can put you in here. Oh, that's a good idea. Now, you do know, So I should add, there is a leaderboard that Squirrebit has for this game. And in order for you to save your score to the leaderboard, you would need to go on there, and when it gives you the opportunity, if the game is over, it might be that it's, yeah, there it goes. And then you click submit. Boom. Yeah, there you go. That's the first score saved on the free gold watch, Guns N' Roses Limited Edition. So yeah, everybody should try this. If you want to actually play around with Scorebit, you don't need a subscription or a Scorebit Vision hardware or Scorebit hardware, Scorebit Prime. you can just download the app from the app store just search for scorebit on android or ios and and play around you can submit scores to your own games to any game we uh have a relationship with pinball maps so we have all of their data so you can find your games and you can submit scores to them take a photo of your score and submit it and then if you get a score of a tron or if you have a jersey jack machine or or a tna or whatever you have you can automate that submission and and start streaming it out. And so I want to see how many users Mystery Pinball Theater 3000 can get onto the Scorbit platform today. Let's do it. That is awesome. Jay's got to go off and do important stuff. That's right.
