Well, this is very exciting. Jersey Jack just released a new Sonic the Hedgehog pinball machine, and this is how I feel about it.

Hey, what's up guys? My name's Erica, and welcome to my pinball journey. In this episode, I'm going to share with you guys my first thoughts on Sonic the Hedgehog by Jersey Jack Pinball. Now this game just came out and it dropped none other than on Sonic the Hedgehog's birthday. So if you didn't know that it was Sonic's birthday. They're celebrating 35 years of Sonic. So I thought it'd be fun to kind of start off with telling you like what I know about Sonic and I'm actually pretty familiar with the series, franchise, movies, games, all that. Sonic the Hedgehog's a pretty big deal in my house. I have two brothers, an older brother and a younger brother and they both are big Sonic the Hedgehog fans. So I've watched those games played. Like jokingly, like when I saw this Sonic the Hedgehog game, all I could think of was this quote. It makes me want a hot dog real bad. Because Sonic's a big fan of chili cheese dogs. If you know anything about Sonic, Sonic just eats chili cheese dogs. It's like his thing. And unfortunately or fortunately, like I think of Jennifer Coolidge when I think of Sonic the Hedgehog. So do with that information what you'd like. I also now heavily associate Jim Carrey with Sonic.
1:30
And I actually have a Sonic game that I like to play, but it doesn't have Sonic in it. I love playing Dr. Robotnik Mean Bean Machine. Like this is something that I like played within the past few months. I'm gonna go ahead and link the game here that I use on Steam to access this game, but I absolutely love Dr. Robotnik Mean Bean Machine. I'm loving like these, these bits of like nostalgia that are coming to me from like talking about this game and thinking about it. Oh man, I can hear it now. The sound of when you're drowning as Sonic, the like when you're running out of bubbles and just the hype and everything that comes up with that. That's crazy stuff.

Another fun thing about Sonic with me is I've actually worked on the Sonic the Hedgehog movie with the VFX unit in San Francisco. Yeah, so I was hired for one day. I'm going to go ahead and just pop my IMDb here. Let's go ahead and watch my reaction to this game.
    2:38
Come on, come on, come on. I'm waiting. Let's play some pitball. The loop. That's such a good shot. That's like VFX, right? There's no way they have a camera to do that. Oh my gosh. The production value that Jersey Jack has on these pinball machine releases is stellar. These are a show. You're watching a show. It's so good. I really love what they did with these rings, with the graphics. Oh, the topper. And Eggman! B.R.
    3:25
Oh, man. So cool. Oh my god, it's so fun. I'm gonna go back a little bit here. Okay, I'm waiting. So, from my understanding, they got the actual voice of Sonic to do some of these call-ups, right? Right? That's what they did. They got voice of Sonic. They got the people and he's in this game. Ugh this shooter knob with Sonic with the gold coin I love that This shot here though that happening with the loop Oh that so good That was so fun Oh whoever did that Amazing That looks like so much fun Just these like whoosh whooshes around the machine. Ah, seaside hills. Sky, Sanctuary, Speed Highway, City Escape, City Escape, oh Green Hill, you gotta have Green Hill, and the Chemical Plant, oh man, oh and then there's the Chows, my cousin's a big fan of the Chows, and you have to, you have the Sonic Springs, they've really put a lot of it in here, ugh. The emeralds, that, you gotta have the emeralds, gotta have the rings. This, like, classic look with the, ugh, so fun. And then the clips. Oh, this little Eggman, this little Eggman battle zone thing, oh, that's fun too, with the, there's supposedly, like, a magnet in there. There is another clip I'll have us watch, um, but, whew. This upper playfield has apparently nine shots. There's nine shots you can make from this upper playfield, which is crazy. But like Dr. Eggman, he's crazy.
    5:34
And Steve Ritchie, man. So I have to say, I'm very excited. This being Steve Ritchie's second game from with Jersey Jack. So Steve's first game he released was Elton John and I absolutely love, love, love Elton John. It is one of my favorite pinball machines of all time. Steve has done so many fantastic games. Steve is known as the king of flow, right? He's just known for his games to just have the speed. And, you know, with knowing Steve being on this game and being Sonic and being fast, it just that just goes together, guys. Like if you were him as a designer, it has to kind of has to be Steve in that way. Right. King of flow, king of speed in some ways. I love Getaway, too. So I was like really anticipating like when Sonic was being teased, I was like, so there has to be something with the speed loop. Because that Hyperloop in Getaway 2, that is one of my favorite mechs in Pinball of all time. That part of the game just captures you and just grabs you. I absolutely love it. I'm so excited to play this. Oh my gosh. I'm going to go ahead and click play again. The Chaos Emerald multivaw, you gotta catch those Chaos Emeralds. Those Emeralds are real important, Sonic. I know that. Gotta go fast.
    7:10
He lost that old. I love how he's, like, hanging out there. He's got, like, on this crane thing. He's kind of like... Ugh. This is shot so well. This is beautiful. Whoever did this, this is so good. And you have to fight in, you go through the middle, shots there. Let's see what we got here. Oh my gosh, on the different art packages. I'm not gonna make you guys watch the whole 11- I'm not gonna make you guys watch the whole 11 minute feature with me, but I highly recommend it.
    7:49
Oh my gosh. Sonic the Hedgehog is a dream theme. There's billions of fans around the world. I mean, what can you say? Sonic is pinball It has so many pinball elements already inside of it When you think about the Sonic video game you think about speed bright colors fun sound That a Jersey Jack game in a nutshell You not just playing the game you playing the experience of what the theme is It's meant to be that Jersey Jack did Sonic. It just makes so much sense. This, I want to say with this Sonic the Hedgehog trailer experience, the way they filmed this and shot this, it's very exciting. It's so many colors, there's so much life. They really knocked it out of the park for me. As someone that just knows Sonic, I'm not the biggest fan of Sonic, but I'm very aware of the Sonic franchise. You can really see how much love went into this game, I feel like. There's just the color and the design, and whoever, the team on this, they probably were so stoked. This game looks like a crazy experience and oh man so I'm gonna go ahead and pull up the website here.
    9:06
All right so when you get to the Jersey Jack website you've got the trailer you can order it now. You got this game in three different cabinets the collectors special and arcade edition. Here's all the different features that you have with both the games. So the only thing that you don't get is the topper and the powder coat and the shaker motor with the arcade addition, right? It's kind of like bare-bones. Oh my gosh. So we're going to go into this play field. I think this art package is so good. Oh my god. It just flows. Like the king of flow. So, um, this just flows. I love this with the checkered. Oh my god, classic. And you gotta, you gotta have Sonic on there going fast or something. Just this, this layout is pretty freaking awesome. And you got some, like, you know, some, like, characters that, man, those are some, some characters I haven't seen in a while that I had to, like, kind of, like, do a little throwback. Throwback? I had to do a little nostalgia searching. Uh, there's the Chows. My cousin absolutely loved the Chows. I was just, like, a casual Sonic fan. I'm really impressed. I love the way that the sculpt for Eggman looks. Holy moly. And you got these springs. I remember those, I think, in the game, right? Like, didn't they have these, like, kind of springs? I want to say in that video, um, they've got that. And I honestly, these rings, these ring features here, whoo, that is so cool. And they tell you what I've seen from what I've been seeing in videos is that those rings will tell you even like where to go. Like they'll have arrows, they'll tell you what you've collected. I don't know, there's just, there's so much information that they're going to give you, which is I think pretty freaking sick. And I haven't seen that like in a pinball machine like that before, like with these like little mini displays. That's pretty sick. And so Dr. Robotnik, he kind of like swings out from in here. Wow. Eggman. Dr. Robotnik, Eggman. Okay. I'm going to be calling them both. As you know, I love the Dr. Robotnik Mean Bean Machine game. Mr. Eggman. You got a little issue for Chow Garden. You got little eggs. You got these little light boxes to hide that. Jersey Jack was a light show. I'm going to tell you now. Their games have plenty of lights and it's gorgeous. Honestly, it's gorgeous. They've really been knocking things out of the park lately. Holy moly. Oh, Little Springs. Hurry up, start. Wow. Shoot again. Wow They really done it with this design What do you think of the shooter rod Do you like the gold ring with Sonic in it I think that pretty cute
    12:18
There's a, I would think that it could have been like an emerald or, I don't know, what else do you think like the shooter rod? I think this is like a perfect shooter rod with it being a gold ring. Like they're collecting it, like when you pull it back. Oh, that's so smart. That's so cool. Signed by Steve. Yeah, guys, this game just looks so good. The colors, the design, this loop. Now, there's some people that wanted a bigger loop or something. I haven't played it. I haven't seen it. I've just seen, like, a little bit of gameplay videos. And, I mean, it looks, there's only so much you can put into games, guys, and there's only so many different iterations you can do.
    13:09
Checkpoint, hurry up, oh, that's nice, the game kind of tells you a little bit more information from its rule set.
    13:16
I'm going to go back to the beginning. Wow, yeah, the art on this game is honestly stunning. This package is beautiful. Honestly, I think it's one of their best looking games yet. For me personally, I think that I like this art design. Some people wish that there was the 16-bit. I think that this is the right way to go, especially with trying to capture those two different audiences. With the people that have been playing forever and some of the people that are just new and getting into Sonic, I think that this is like a great like middle ground and this will last for some time with a lot of people. Oh my god, this game is gorgeous. Great job, Jersey Jack. Wowee, wowee, gotta go fast.
    14:07
Backlast, topper, this topper too, so it like moves and they kind of like push against each other. That's fun.
    14:25
Yeah, so it's like an interactive topper. That's pretty fun. That gives something different. Don't get a lot of those. I did really like their topper as well for Avatar. I think that Avatar topper was pretty sick. Oh man. All of these are such great packages. Overall, I think this game looks really freaking sick. Jersey Jack, you have really done it for this one. This game looks beautiful. I'm shocked, honestly, as I'm excited to show this to my brothers and to see what they think about it. And I can't wait to play it. So let me know in the comments what you think about this game release. Are you a big Sonic fan? Are you just a casual Sonic person? Do you know nothing about Sonic but absolutely want this game? I'd love to know. So thanks for watching. I appreciate your guys' support. Feel free to like and subscribe and I'll see you on the next one. How come I can't shoot videos? Why can't I just do them like I think of them in my head? I'm just gonna start talking. Let's cut. And Sonic is 35, so Sonic's got about four years on me. He looks great. Damn. Is it the speed? Is it the blue? Should I like... This is getting long, but I need to get this out. I need to talk about my feelings.
    15:57
We'll escape from the city. I'll make it through. Follow me. God, this song is stuck in my head. And as Sonic would say, gotta go fast. Right? Okay, that was weird.
