Panel The Ray Ray Show. Hello friends. Welcome to the Ray Ray Show, episode seven. I am your co-host, Rachel Risto, along with your pinball pal, Raymond Davidson. Welcome to it. I'm happy to be here with you, Raymond. It's been a little bit since we recorded. Yeah, it's been a minute. It's been a hot minute. Our next episode, we're going to do a little catch up episode, like a speed run The Week in Pinball, Johnny Pneumonic, Black Water, Kaneda's Pinball Podcast, Twippies Awards, transliteelectronic event in backbox that is backlit during playelectronic Game of Thrones unint Okay, yes, and I've been playing pinball too. Absolutely. So I think most of our listeners know I run ladies with Wisconsin which is a traveling pinball women's tournament series. And this is I believe the third year that I ran a women's tournament at district 82. I've been trying to build it into a women's weekend. Slowly but surely. Eric has district82 open to the public for Flippin Friday. It included I did a Stern army tournament that was a three strike and then on Saturday I decided to do my favorite style of tournament which is a 13 round match play and a four strike classic knockout. It also happens to be Cassidy's favorite. We both play there a lot and so it was fun to work together to create our dream tournament day. It was pretty exciting. You can go back and look at the stream. Foxy's Pinball of course was there. Tom did a great job of streaming both tournaments. The game is a game where you play against 48 women coming from 11 states and 1 Canadian. So I guess it's the first time having somebody from another country come and join us. So I guess now it's an international tournament, I guess. I have to laugh at that a little bit because I think that's really cool. It was much more challenging to run the two tournaments, especially trying to guesstimate time and break. As an organizer, you're trying to figure out what's best for the player. But I also played both of the events. I didn't tournament direct them. I actually tapped the shoulder of a couple of gentlemen in the District 82 league that plays Tilt and Tuesdays and asked them to come in and TD. And that's the first time that I've done that besides having my true pal Matt McCarty who's with me for all my ladies slip stuff there. But in addition to take some of the leverage off of me and the stress from that day so I could just focus on playing, I thought it was very smart to bring in additional TDs. But even as an organizer during the day, there are still other things that you have to address and The end of the week was a fun day. I'm always learning as an organizer also like the cost versus the cash payout and breakdown. It's I don't usually come ahead at the ladies District 82 event. I'm still trying to figure out how to how the cost versus cash payout The And if it should be I do usually Make it heavy for the first place When I go to play tournaments, I'd rather win $500 coming in first place Versus I don't know coming in 16th and getting $20. I don't know so it's like it's but I also try to figure out You know what's the style that other women's events are like and so I'm trying to model a little bit after that too So long story short they're still figuring it out, and it was a super fun day The 13 round match play was won by Bobbi from Florida. We actually played our very first round together on South Park that day and I could not put a game together to save my life for that first tournament. But holy cow, did she have a huge whopper of a game and she just went on to kick butt the rest of the day and just Bobbi just went on to win the tournament with ease is the best way to put that. Oh, she ended up winning? Yes, absolutely. It was really cool to watch because I was struggling trying to put any game together the whole day but Bobbi just took off. It was also her first time at District 82 and there was a lot of women that it was their first time there. So it was really cool to see that specifically because you never know how the game plays either. The four strike classic that I ran, Cassidy won that with only two strikes. It was a four strike classic which is the best. I love classic games. I think I'm a I tell myself I'm a better classics player and I just enjoy playing them maybe it's the sound of the bells and chimes still that just get me but it was pretty amazing I I played that tournament very well I took seven so I was super happy about my playing that day and I was super happy as organizer tournament director and I really look forward to next year and trying to add something on like maybe that Thursday or Sunday or cramming something else in there we'll see the other thing that I wanted to mention is that day The first day that I actually played with gloves. Have you ever played pinball with gloves, Raymond? No, but I've seen a lot of people wear them. I guess there must be something there, huh? I guess. Cassidy plays with gloves and a while back we had a conversation about it. So I finally decided to get some weightlifting gloves just to give it a whirl and I thought that would be a great day to do it because I cared about how I played but I also didn't really care. I was more concerned about the tournament running on time and people having a good time and hostessing and organizing all that kind of junk. So I figured this would be a good day and they really did help and now it feels that was back in May and we're recording this in early August and I have a really hard time playing a game without gloves on now. Wow. Yes, and so I wanted to talk a little bit about the reason why there's another reason not just because Cassie had some encouraging stuff about that and I've seen other players Information bā wreck The game is a game that uses the gloves to transfer more energy to the game. It sounds like it's helping relax a little. Right. I think it's taking the over-energy, the over-exertion I'm giving onto the game and it's buffering that out through the gloves. Also, the other thing is, man, my palms do not hurt anymore. I'm a palm nudger. I'm at the top of the game and use my palms. And that's actually one of the smarter ways to nudge because usually you won't get as many tilt warnings on the upward nudging. Right, exactly. And part of what's driving me again towards the gloves is this whole Whopper efficiency thing. And I'm not going to get too deep in the weeds about it, but when the first new Whopper version was coming out, what version number is it, Raymond? The new 6.0. The new 6.0, shiny and new. When it was first being discussed, some of the things there was difficult for me because it would drop me well out of the top 1000 based upon my efficiency percentage while I'm playing. And can you explain that just like maybe a hair, Raymond, to the listeners that don't understand what that is? Yeah, so I think they're basically gonna be it earlier. I don't I don't think it was quite like this. It was more broad. It was the top 1000. If you were within the top 1000, then you would start getting kind of taxed on your whoppers based on how efficient you were getting those whoppers. And so it was kind of like a way to help balance people who don't go to a lot of things versus people that can go to a lot of things. Right. But it kind of I think they found it was a little excessive and also I think now instead of the top 1000 it's either the top 250 maybe? The WPPR rankings will list the top 250 players ranked in the main system after this 6.0 adjustment is made. Yes. So the point is when I first found out about the WPPR efficiency before it was finalized, it felt kind of pretty detrimental to all the pinball that I played. Because my WPPR percentage or WPPR efficiency percentage was like 7.49% or something. And based upon that, and I have a lot of opportunity to play at District 82. I have an opportunity to play during winter a little bit more probably up there and other locations here. I'm just very fortunate that way. Uh, so in some ways, and also when I first started playing, I played a lot of pinball and I think that's a lot. What happens to a lot of players as they get bit by the bug and they go play everything and there's nothing wrong with that. The end of the week is a little bit of a break. So if you're not playing well, it's not helping you, right? Yeah, it's actually hurting you with the new formula if you do poorly at a large number of events versus doing poorly at a smaller number of events. Right. So I just decided, so I did like a Facebook post about it and just like, you know, a lot of people sent some really nice comments and so forth. And I decided to take the best advice that I got about it, about the whole deal. I'm just going to say, just forget about it. Just forget about it. Keep playing and eventually I will win big at district 82. And you know, that was, that's fantastic advice because at the end of the day I'm having fun and enjoying it and I'm still learning the competitive side of things and how I operate and I've never been competitive about anything in my life. So to me, learning all this as I go and taking those lumps, it's interesting. So with that said, I've been playing really hot the last I'm not playing all summer. District 82 is my main place where I play on Tilted Tuesdays, two Tuesday nights a month. I'll tell you quickly the format is we play eight games. It's a modern and a classic. We play two games per round. You take the top 16 and you play off. You play off in a four-player group where you're playing all the games at the same time. I forget what that's called. The multi-match play? The multi-match play, correct. I do like playing that. So my goal has just been since that post is like let's just get to the top 16 Let's get to finals now district 82 averages 65 to 80 players on a Tilton Tuesday night I was able to qualify in the top 16 and I'm gonna say this right now Who knows what's gonna happen the next time I go up in the play there? But I want to say this because I have to I want to say that I'm proud of myself I want to encourage all players out there that you just have to sometimes grind and we go through ups and downs and it's a rollercoaster we have been able to qualify last six times of district 82 and i was able to glean to top four finishes out of that and that felt re-man amazing absolutely amazing and i have to cheer for myself i really think that it's the gloves, i really do believe that the big part of that handling the games better. But too, i think i have been The really focusing so much more on that as part of my play and Three just the attitude of not caring That has really helped not caring about the points of opera efficiency or whatever and I think the fourth thing because I really thought about this because I'm like Why am I playing so well is see if I could sing it you got to play your own game Play your own game and you and I talked about that Raymond you and I've talked about that before about and when Data spoke at the set of some of our chilli I think you qualified first of all just qualifyingifying the top 16 at a Tilt and Tuesday is tough and then to make it through not only the first round but the semifinals as well into the top four and you did that what twice in the last three Tilt and Tuesdays and I think the other one you still qualify you just you didn't make it through one of the rounds but that's still yeah so that's a huge improvement right that's uh that's really something is working and just keep keep doing it right so and thank you Raymond too because you coatline 2260 And again I just if you a person out there that did post on that Facebook post to me about put that open to the public so people can see it There some really good advice in there If you again it a competitive player And you having you know like a downward slide or you feel like it a roller coaster and you playing like crap Just hang in there Consistency will come and I finding finding some of it So I think the best thing out of all of that is I am pumped up for the other things I gonna go play later this year like pumped up It's a very interesting topic. And you got to remember, at the end of the day, it's still pinball. And if you could learn to be 100% consistent, then we wouldn't even have the tournaments, right? It would be boring because you the same it would end in the same order every time. So, so don't get too hung up. Like overall, you want consistency to get better, but you're still going to have those days where, you know, just didn't go right. And that's fine. Yeah. Yeah. And the other thing too, is that this is something that I've learned from the class of 2023 is that the ball does something weird. a name that is not quite a word i laugh like you know there's no point like you just laugh the ball hits the sling flies into outlane did you see my my sling town clip uh at uh pinmasters where i i plunge the ball and it literally just goes straight to the slingshot to the outlane and i just am cackling and just as i walk away just laughing no i didn't see that no i will have to watch that though because there's like what are you gonna do raymond i'm just gonna laugh about it uh and also i think the one other thing The end of the day, I'm just having fun. I have an opportunity to like, I was playing Frontier and I lit all the things. I collected all the things. I had all the inline drops. I had all, I call it, instead of, you know, taking out the predators, I'm rehoming them. I'm capturing them and rehoming the predators to somewhere else. And, but I had them all lit. I had everything. And like, I couldn't drain the ball. And I kept, you know, I had all the things, collected the little upper scoopy things. I'm laughinging, laughing as I'm playing and I don't even realize how probably annoying I am to all the other players that are playing around me so I was just having purely a good time and I did have one player come up to me afterwards he said I had to trap up my ball and laugh with you because it's good you know it's like it's nice when you hear other people having fun too so it's always good so I'm just gonna keep keep on with that and just you know ride that out and sometimes the train does I'm not sure if this is the right way to go, but I'm prepared for that too. I put it together for a little while at least. You know it's possible so now you just try to remember to... Hopefully it will help you not get discouraged when things don't go as well in the future because you know it's possible. It's just the way it goes. Yeah, so just keep focusing on each game as it comes by and hopefully many more top four Tiltin Tuesdays await. Thank you. I want that first place. Oh yeah, there you go. I took two fourths, but I want that first place. Oh, the last little thing I'll say about that is Cassidy and I both times when I found myself in the final four, she and I eliminated the competition in our finals, in our semi-finals and one and our semi and quarterfinals and the other. And so that was really fun and that's the second or third time that we've done that. We did that previously at Women's Expo last year where we qualified together and just wiped, you know, I like to call it like we're executioners or double staffers maybe. I don't know. Yeah, like you and her were in the same group and got 6s or 8s right away. Yes, and we advanced together so I have so much fun playing pinball with her and always at District 82. It's funny though you switch from ally to enemy though once you get to the final four. There's no more rounds to advance. You gotta beat her. Well, I guess I have to become an enemy but that's hard because I'm just like I don't know my energy by then is like usually super high. I'm not letting like it's usually 11 o'clock at night not trying to let the tiredness get to me and my energy level is so high that I'm just like oh yeah let's just go have fun you know because it's better to have that than to get myself overly intense. That's true. The Right though I have to become more she's got to become my enemy so they can I mean a friend of me rent friendly Yes, it's definitely my friend and my friend of me. So but that's it for me Raymond We have something pretty big to talk about for you. I'm very excited I actually had a look up the beast and this is I assume this is duck to uses baby. Yeah Yeah, it's actually the beast stands for the Buffalo PINBALL EXTRAVAGANZA ANNUAL SUMMER TOURNAMENTS I assume you played the open and the classics. Yeah, and from I think there's a couple people that posted about how difficult the qualifying was and from that it just looks like it would be something like in this that might make me want to cry so can you tell me about what the qualifying format was for the open and the classics that they were the same same format for open and classics it's just a high score competition so you just keep playing the games trying to get the highest score The game is a game where you play a game of pinball and you try to get enough good games to qualify. I think in classics it was your best six games and in main it was your best seven. And so it's kind of interesting because normally when you're playing pinball, you're just trying not to have that bad game. But in this format, if you have a bad game, The matter at all like you just try again and what really kills you is when you have what I call the Almost over the hump games where you you have a deep you know, okay game but then like right when everything starts lighting up and you're about to blow it up you drain and That that's what kills you in this format because on average everyone's gonna be able to get to that point And so if you want to be ahead of the pack and be above the qualifying line Also BASIComiastanalyze followers of P pequeñoDanie Hallлось Gavin Palmyen, Pinball decree lock TwippyWo Daveyялиnanya Patricia FB Anti Kumaruffled coverage collector, personal avatarон beetje Oyndryunchy cataloged transcripts www.finanorse.com The story. Yeah, so it's it's it's a different type of format for sure Okay, did you choose specific games or did you have to play them all you could choose? Yeah, they had more games They had like, you know 15 games in Maine But only your best seven counted so you could avoid any of them all together if you wanted to And classics also had more more games Like I I didn't even bother The Magic that was in the classics bank because I heard it had a really tight tilt and they had the rubbers removed Everywhere and so I was like I'm not even gonna waste money on that one So I just you know didn't play that one And so yeah You get some freedom of playing games that you like as many times as you like to so that's why I I really like the format But it can definitely be stressful Like I was even feeling it because I was at one point I was out of my top 8 gets a buy and I was basically right at 8th and I just I was playing this fun house and I kept getting 20 million which normally hooray 20 million yeah really good game yeah but unfortunately 20 million was right at that hump where most people would die right as they got to 20 million and I did it like three times in a row and I was getting super frustrated but I was determined you know Go predict replayВ maybe All不對 hi NATO K The Sand Wantedenger io5 Mensch4N0 The Yeah, like when you're up you're up and when you're down you're down you might need to take a break. Yeah That's interesting. I have only played that format once before put it a wizard's world last year for the women's tournament and that was fun and that was the Comprehensive pump and dump whatever they called it and that was that was actually great because he made that very affordable that tournament He said that was $20. I believe for the whole press endless entries. Wow So that's an interesting concept. So it's just as much as you want to stand in line is your limit. Yes, correct. Yeah, it was it was fun. That was a fun weekend. Okay, so how did you do in the open qualifying? Uh, yeah, so I qualified second. Well, in class. Yeah. So in Classics, I don't remember where I qualified. I think I was third, maybe fourth. The I think I was I think I was fourth because When you're in the final so I guess I'll talk about the classic finals real quick here Sure, when you're in the finals if you're in the top four you get to be a bus driver But it goes in the order so number one gets to choose the bank first and then number two the number three number four So I was number four which meant I got to choose a bank but by the time it got to me there was only two choices because oh The That was kind of unfortunate, but you know I still got to choose one over the other You know I chose the one Basically the two options were one bank I had played all the games in qualifying so I I knew kind of how they played and the other bank The other bank had two games that I really liked and then the third game that I didn't play at all which was magic So I had to choose between three I was going to pick three decent games or two of my favorite games and one bad game. And I ended up just choosing the three decent games because I figured now is not the time to play a game for the first time in the finals. Oh come on, why not? You want to make it interesting? Yeah, I mean in hindsight I probably could have gotten away with it either way because at least in some later rounds I definitely got some zeroes that I recovered from. Geneva Get a one to pick them uputar My partner Todd Hot Tip God From Laurie Live At語 B I won trident and all I needed was not last on Bobby or and unfortunately I got nothing on that game and so I was in a tiebreaker and it was almost I almost got through without a tiebreaker but Gregory Kennedy fell short by like a hundred points and if he would have passed this one guy then then like me and him would have been through clean and instead there was a three-way tiebreaker on bow and arrow. visual multimedia ataque I still had to win because it was the two out of three and bow and arrow moved on to the next round and player one he blew it up He rolled it He got like 150 Greg only put up like 60 And so here I am I like oh this is a low score I should be able to beat this And of course whenever you think that your first three balls are like just gone immediately Yes, that's the truth. So now I'm all up. Yeah, it was a single player. You played them EMS, you know, one at a time. And so I'm on ball four and I'm like looking at like 30,000 and I'm like, okay, but I held together and I pulled it off. And that was, that was on arrow. Yeah, that was a, have you played a bow and arrow? I have not. Could you tell me how to play it? Yeah. So it's pretty simple game. You just have these spinners that build your bonus and then a hole on the upper left that collects your bonus. And so the idea is it's like kind of like old Chicago, but instead of the collect being in the middle, it's like on the left. And you basically just build up some bonus and then collect it over and over again. And but there's other things in the game like the side target score 3000 the center target scores between one and 5000 kind of randomly. And so I was actually kind of you know, I wasn't just going for spinners. I was trying to pick off some other targets and points just because I knew I only needed 60,000. So if you're trying to blow it up like in qualifying you had to go for the spinners because you needed to get that bonus max so that you could collect 9,000 over and over and over again and absolutely tear it up. But yeah, it came down to ball five and I just managed to pull it out and so then I was on to the next round. And again in that round I got a zero on Bobby Orr's The game was called Bobby Orr's Powerplay. But in that case, I think I just won the other two games. Bobby Orr's Powerplay, I got nothing game of that again. I was just getting nothing but Outlands on that game. I never got to flip more than like three times. Very frustrating. So then we played bow and arrow again and I won that game with about 100,000. And then we had to play Dragonfist, which... The game is very brutal. It's kind of like Sea Witch but without upper flippers I guess would be the best way to describe it. Who made it? Stern. Stern, okay. Yeah, so it's you're following X's like SeaWitched for bonus multipliers. Okay. And I was able to just, I was having the best game ever. I got like 630,000 and everyone I am playinget with Farais角o and female member of team Brandon Camusa Plsome Alial The game and so once I got it going I was very comfortable on and that's kind of why I was able to get such a big score and so that that gave me eight points and I was through to the finals and I think the finals finals was very strange I don't know if you watched any of it no I didn't have a chance to I had something else going on that weekend something other than pinball yeah like kayaking enjoying time in nature of a family Me Time of sentiments 생각ples matingnwink Yoshiok onj lethalalreporte safety. I was very comfortable with it but he had a kind of a rough game for him he only ended up putting up about a million and on my first couple balls I was sort of just kind of sending it up the left orbit because everyone else was kind of having some short ball times and so anytime I had a chance I just sent the ball up the left and got that value up pretty high and so going into ball three you know Jason finished at a million I had maybe seven hundred eight hundred thousand and I was like doing the math and I was like, okay, I can either hit, you know, like four left orbit shots or two bonus multiplier shots. And I went for the bonus multiplier shots thinking that even though the targets, you know, they return to your flippers fast, you know, kind of down the middle sometimes, the left orbit goes into the pops and then who knows where it's going. So I figured two shots of multipliers is the way to go. And I, and I pulled it off. So I was able to hit The Winner is Johnny Pneumonic, Black Water, Kaneda's Pinball Podcast, Twippies Awards, In lane, you have one of these that district 82, right? Yes, we do. And you know, so I. I thought Jason Drain by doing like in lane to out lane, you know, trying to alley pass it over and. Well, but I was I don't know. I just I kind of went for it anyway. I mean, my first couple shots, I just shot spinners, even though they weren't lit just to kind of, you know, keep the ball alive for a little bit. Get some points going. And find the shot and find the spinner shot too. Right. And so then I, you know, once I trapped up, then I was like, okay, I'm going to try an alley pass and hopefully not go in and out because I felt like, you know, I was able to take that risk because everyone else had hadn't done very well. So I was kind of, you know, I was like, okay, well, I'll take this risk and, and it paid off. I was able to light my spinners and I shot a couple of spinners. You know, I only put up like 130,000, but, uh, no one else could Marva, visavi właści pregunta in place indict foolish transgender tag draws in mass결reaction функilty flagrant passwordtext students Write Yes, because I've been working hard on figuring out the dead bounce and dead pass and try to implement that into my games. So I have experienced that in a couple of classic games specifically, where it just you're hitting below the knuckle. I know I'm not hitting the knuckle and hitting in a spot where like towards the middle of the flipper, where it shouldn't be a thing that happens. And guess what? The ball just rolls down flipper. Yeah. And so I mean, yes, well, this one was extra bad, where if you hit anywhere on the flipper, it just it literally was like a rock. The game was a little bit embarrassing, but I ended up still winning the game even though I only played like one ball just because everyone else the game just destroyed everybody. The Things happen when you make when you make the same operator error twice in a row That is very difficult or you drain the same way that twice in a row Yeah, I I wasn't kicking myself too hard cuz I was just laughing. I was just like I don't really you know, whatever I that's on me. Yeah It's like dumbass just a little bit. That's the way I feel about myself and I do things like that, too Yeah, that's awesome and 130 that's not a huge game on there either. So must have been a really tough one to play The Brutal and so after that I ended up that locked me into winning the tournament because Ron Hallett Passed Jason but didn't pass me and so then the points worked out so I had eight and Jason only had three so there was no way for him to catch me and So I had already won after two games which I was kind of weird It was like anticlimactic because it wasn't a big score and it wasn't really you know, just all worked out perfectly The game was jacks open. Have you ever played that? Is it the one? Does it have zipper flippers? No, it's um, it's an EM and it just has a big wall of drop targets in the center. Maybe all the all the poker cards. And you just try to hit them all down sort of thing. Very simple. Okay. But the main thing is the lane. There's four lanes up top and it's kind of like volley where each time you hit a lane. Now your drop targets are worth way more. So you want to try to get as many lanes as possible. I like those kinds of games where you're you have to do the thing to like the thing. Yeah, so that very simple, very simple math to do there on a classic game. Yeah. And so my score didn't really matter. I mean, I played and I put up, I ended up winning with not that big of a score, but it didn't matter because I had already won. But Jason actually had about double my score. But then he at the end of the game, he gave the game like The game was a little reset. It was like a slam tilt almost, right? Yeah, kind of except it just literally the reels just started going back to zero and the game reset. It was on camera but they had to do a big ruling about it and they called Josh Sharpe and they're like, Included I've heard, Raymond, because I do that, sometimes if I have a very frustrating game, I will give like a little nudge with my foot, you know, or, and I'm not usually one that, like, I don't usually rage tilt out a game, I don't get angry like that, but usually it's like a little foot afterwards with the game, but after the game is completely done, everything's been recorded. So that had to be very frustrating for Jason because, you know, those things happen. Yeah, and it basically, he would have gotten second in the tournament, had his score I was in the quarterfinals, semifinals and in the finals group. And he was kind of like the Cassidy, right? Me and him kept advancing. And the whole time he was like, I'm gonna get you, Raymond. Like, this is it. And he did. I mean, he, he beat me on some of the games and he made it to the finals with me. But then finals just didn't quite, quite go the way he wanted, I suppose. Because you became frenemies at that point. Full circle. Because he became frenemies. Oh, I love that. That's awesome. And also a player that's not too far from Buffalo either that got went there in one big. That's awesome. Well, congratulations, Raymond. Thank you. Yeah. Do you? Would you promote the event for people to go next year? Definitely? Yeah, I'd say if you're anywhere near Buffalo, I mean, it's a it's a great event. And it was run really well. And they've gotten you know, they check all the boxes, you get lots The WPPRPoints is all certified and you know and what I like is you know you can kind of make your own schedule qualify for new when you want you know that sort of thing and they had great food at the at the place to actually had a lot of options but I need you to sleep in and get your rest yep yeah lots I got to sleep in so that's that's good yeah it was a fun time all around and the payouts the payouts were huge because Jeff had a lot of sponsors and did a lot of things to kind of pump The price pool ahead of time and then on top of that everyone buying entries so the the price pool just got up there you know it was 2000 bucks for first in classics and 3000 for first in main Wow, unbelievable. Yeah, and there was only you know, there was only like 80 people so the lines weren't very long so you could play like, you know, whatever you wanted and yeah, games were set up fairly and yeah, so I did I did great in the classics and then the the main was Sunday and I I did not make it past the first round, but I tried. You know, that's all. I basically, it came down to game three on Rush, and I needed to win Rush, which normally I'd be like, that's fine. But Chris Stevens decided he was going to put up 600 million and I could only get about 250 million. Callhanolなく Mister Smellsincarnative24 모두 BEAHEVERISept But because I got second on rush I got four points total so I got ninth overall in the tournament which is good for Whoppers and efficiency and all that goodness. Yes the efficiency the efficiency. Yeah, I'm you Do you get concerned about that now? No, that's changing a little bit or you just keep playing as Raymond plays. Uh, I it's definitely another metric that I'm watching now. And so now it's like if I get eliminated I It's like okay, but did I hurt myself? Kevin Hansen, Alec J. Karl De);, Jonathan Steiner, grandpa, Destoff, Michael52, Speakerehardee, ono I think it's not healthy to be obsessive about it or to let it like I think how it was affecting me and affecting my play it was in the back of my mind while I was playing which is not good and being able to let go of that and not think about it at all and just enjoy the game heck it's just pinball right? Well that's awesome that sounds like a really fun weekend congratulations to all the winners there and congrats to Jeff Teolis one of the hardest working people in pinball I love his voice Yeah, and thanks to the pinballers Mike Castleman from the pinballers Twitch stream. I think it's just called pinballers. He streamed the whole thing, classics and main so Wow, I will go off. Was it his first time streaming an event like that? Maybe I think it was. Yeah, and he had a great job. I mean, they stream at home all the time. So they have the rig and all that but to do it live in a tournament where things go wrong and you know, he did great. Oh, I have to go back and check that out. So pinballers on Twitch. Awesome. And where was the location of the event? It was a Buffalo billiard. No, Pocketeer billiards in Buffalo. Pocketeer billiards in Buffalo. We're giving you a shout out. When I get out that way, I'm gonna come visit. Sounds like a great place to play. Oh, awesome. Well, congrats. I think that's everything for the beast. Unless we missed anything. I mean, I guess, you know, Jason Zahler took it down. I'm atata outacking dog I'm atalfャ**łą You were saying it was Chris Stevens that you lost the game to? Mm-hmm. When you're playing your game, which Rush is your game, right? There's a good way to look at it. Is it frustrating for you? Or do you learn things from other players? Or do you have any insight that you want to give about that? No, I thought it was cool. I like playing it because usually I make the rules and I code it up and I watch people Chuck Então HUGH DUR astonishing Washer, Thomas Henry Tornby Cowicz and Michael Platt, Dave Quines, hey Craw bracie, Phil Proach, In that case, on that rush game, I actually had something happen that was a little unfortunate where the ball got stuck in multiball, they had to open the coin door and it lost my multiball and so I just kind of lost a multiball which was sad. But then they turned on coin door ball save so it wouldn't happen to any other porceles. So you got to take the lump. Yeah. That happens sometimes. That happens. I've had that happen. I kind of just shrugged it off and was like, you know what, I don't need a multiball to win. And I literally just started The game was a good transition for me to talk about the other thing I play. I played like I said before at District82 but I also played in my Fox City's House League and I want to bring that up because I played Rush there over the weekend. A couple people that's a house league where it travels to I think six different locations throughout the year. Was that Tom's basement? It was not Tom's basement. Oh, more Rushes in the Wisconsin area. More Rushes in the state's basement, Joe and Susan and that was fantastic and they have a Rush and it was so fun. I played Tom during a round and he just smeared myself and the other players on the floor with his awesome rush game he had there. But it was funny because the two players looked at me and they're like, oh, we know you're bringing it, Rachel. We know you love this game. And I'm like, I do. I really do. It's such a fun game to play. Yeah, you had a good experience with that at some women's tournament, right? BASIC ‑ Yes, at oh for Wisconsin State women's championship. Yes, I beat Cassidy on it. CAST ‑ Yes, that's right. BASIC ‑ And every time that she sees it is usually when I see one, too. And we you know, we talked about the game a little bit or we both want to practice it because it's a great it's a great competition game. So just fun stuff. So yeah, that's kind of what I put up to in terms of like pinball stuff has been kind of slow. I haven't been playing any big tournaments. I've been traveling around. Just playing my deity to my house league which I love so much and that formats cool too because it's six It's six tournaments or six Saturday nights one Saturday night per month and that's one league So you get that submitted you play finals if you make top eight or whatever and there's 34 people in that league So that's a lot of fun and it's always great to go into people's houses and see their stuff So I'm just playing that I know that you we can add this in here too is that you actually? I have been playing a house league. Yeah, I'm in a house league. It's the Chicagoland Pinball League. Go to... Okay, and I was curious about that because I saw on your whopper, on your IPA, what do you call it? You like to call it the IFPA. On your card, I saw that you took first in your Chicagoland Pinball League, which is your house league. So what's the format of that? Yeah, it's... Is it similar? Yeah, you go to a house and then you play in a group with a JohnP relationaląt categuchid cámara automatic médium confidential interrogation byte convention려varajêw iz Apartium text olorbolyzone .hw Calabolyzione.com MoAExperimentalRaw flow personnal infokesponsorQ VEKNIQ, bipantinenachybasharim gyri behavior, The And I took people to Black Rose quite a bit Your very first game no, it should if anybody has listened to you and I talk about pot or talk about tournament pinball They all should know your love for Black Rose. Yes, you know secret but go on go on go on yeah, the basically I just I chose Black Rose every time and Did well on it and I also did well on Horse Essentially tapeicos vagyja nombreuxczko voi ще prezi hoezejnoszk watch Thanksgiving and Jewish Christmas Day month of October! Cat Savoy s feини cateaor eine Baby zato And the unmodified. Yes. You're not running on a chudmill or ping pongs flying at you while you're playing. Yep. Or all the other things. In the finals, it was me versus Andy Bagwell and he chose rush against me, which he always loves to do and I beat him on it. He didn't put up his normal, he normally puts up like five, six hundred, a billion, but he only put up a couple hundred million and I was able to beat him. So nice. Then he took me to Rick and Morty and I had like the best Rick and Morty. We both had great Rick and Morty games and I won like 31 million to 28 million Wow. Yeah huge. That's close. Those are huge games, but that's that's pretty close That's awesome. Our league format our house league format is we play seven rounds Seven to five three one and we do it all on a Saturday night at fun times And I saw that you had 22 players in that league Is that something that's still open or is it is it like like you just have to ask you can can join the league or is our waiting list? I know with ours there is a waiting list. Yeah, I think right now it's only 24 people and there's a little bit of a waiting list, but they might expand a few people. But it's not like a huge waiting list because it requires commitment, you know, throughout six weeks or whatever. Or six months, six events, I don't know. You gotta plan out the days, make sure you can make it, you know, you can miss up to two. The Yeah, I only miss one well you can only miss one you can miss one So the way it works is they drop your lowest score So if you only miss one then you're basically fine, but then if you miss two then you get 50% of your average So, you know you can miss two and kind of be okay if you're really you know if you're doing fine on the other ones But if you miss three, I think then you're out of the league So you basically don't miss more than two don't miss don't miss takes dedication that pinball stuff Stereotype bisschenرب shirtβα Mill pus Puisch UpكمaksRS gernavld vêin vor More asseuplate Love the Senior oreos Peri You can probably find them on pin side or whatever your local pinball group is.
