TL;DR

Orby declares Evil Dead Spooky's best machine ever; praises Franchi art and toys.

Summary

Orby from Poor Man's Pinball Network delivers an enthusiastic "5 Rad, 1 Bad" review of Spooky Pinball's new Evil Dead wide-body machine, praising its artwork by Christopher Franchi, interactive toys (house sculpt, spinning head, moving hand), free topper, and playfield flow as their best work to date. He also briefly discusses Jersey Jack's $2,500 price reduction on Avatar as a positive market signal, positioning Spooky as the industry leader in listening to customer feedback.

Key Claims

  • Evil Dead is Spooky Pinball's best artwork package ever, potentially better than Elton John

high confidence · Orby compares the shooter integration across multiple Spooky titles and praises the playfield flow and toy integration

medium confidence · Orby notes machines bought used at fair prices 'came very close to holding its value' while new purchases 'probably lost a grand or two'

  • Jersey Jack's Avatar price reduction of $2,500 should have been offered at launch to generate hype

high confidence · Orby states the reduction is positive but critiques the timing, saying it should have been the original pricing strategy

high confidence · Orby confirms Franchi announced 'going exclusive with a particular company' which 'ended up being Spooky'

All get around, he's on the rebound Hear the sound of our buddy, oh lordy, it's Orby Pinball now to rejoice He's tugging pinball, craft beer and coffee Miffed with syrup and honey He hopes to laugh with his family in a random tangent Stories of his boys He's on the poor man's pod network We're gonna get more listeners for the Pinball Nerds Podcast. Coming to you from beautiful River Hibbert's, Nova Scotia. Welcome back, Pinball Nerds, to episode 598 of your fifth favorite pinball podcast. My name is Orbital Albert, and on today's episode, I'm very happy, I'm very excited to be counting down the top five rad and one bad of Spooky Pimble's newest machine, Night of the Living Dead. So, okay, first of all, first of all, I'm so sorry I've been gone for a while. Last weekend, I was at a huge show with my son in Annapolis Valley, and probably because you come into contact with hundreds, if not thousands of people per day over that time period. I caught some type of mixture of cold, walking pneumonia or something because basically my cough is still here, but I've had a couple lozenges. I love that term. I've had a couple cough suppressants, and I'm hoping they have suppressed my cough enough to get through this. I respect spooky pinball so much, and of course, my buddy Christopher Franchi. Wow! I wouldn't ever say this, Franchi. I wouldn't say you knocked it out of the park on the art, but we're going to talk about that later in the Top 5 Rad and 1 Bad. For right now, I do want to let you know that my boy, my actual boy, my other boy, because they're both my boys, but my boy, Draco Franchi, named after the one and only artist himself, I will mention, he did say on this show, he announced Mr. Christopher Franchi himself in the summer, Very close to my birthday. Thank you for that birthday gift, Franchi. Very close to my birthday. He did come on my show. I think it might have even been on my birthday birthday for breakfast during brunch. And he did announce that he was going to be going to make a huge announcement at Expo about going exclusive with a particular company. And that company ended up being, of course, as we all know now, Spooky. And I'm so happy to be finally seeing the fruits of his... I was going to say fruits of his labor, I think it is, but I was going to say tuition, but that's not how it goes. Okay, so let's just get into this. Spooky Pinball, congratulations. We all know that they absolutely love the horror themes and such, and I'm glad there's a company doing that and keeping it real because would you have wanted Stern Pinball to have done this? There would have been no blood. There would have been no chainsaws. there would have been... Are we going back-to-back chainsaws here, Spooky? That is kind of... I'm sure that wasn't done on purpose, but... Everybody, how have you been since my last show? I was in the shower, and I completely forgot I had done a show in the shower until said time that I went to record, and I realized, why does the microphone stand up at like six feet tall? And then I realized, oh yeah, because I was standing on my last show. Hopefully you guys enjoyed that. I did get at least one comment from one of the listeners who absolutely loved the show. So thank you for reaching out. I think they said they laughed out loud or something like that. So hopefully it was just, you know what, I like to think for about every 10 people that laughed out loud, only one messaged me, and that's okay because you don't have to. I'm here to provide. I'm here to be funny. That's part of my job, right? Just like my dog, Draco Franchi, his job is to try to distract me while I'm talking. but it will not happen not today evil dead did I say night of the living dead evil dead evil dead pinball is a wide body that is so cool too when was the last wide body I believe it was dialed in by Jersey Jack I believe that that is what it would have to be but let's just get right into it right now I'm going to count it down in order of how rad I think it is because there's lots of rad stuff on here there is stuff that I actually did in fact leave out that I could have at it. But let's just get right into it. Number five on the list is that big house at the back, the big house they're protecting from all the evil dead. Okay, that house, I'm a sucker for a physical ball lock, but also that moment in time when you actually start that multiball after you load up all the balls. Oh my god. And by the way, if you haven't, for some, I did just recently watch it. I have not been on Pennside. I have not heard any other content creator shows or podcasts. If there are any, I have not. I just wanted to go in. I'm on the Spooky Pinball page right now where you can go order it. I believe the ordering banks open up very shortly, if not soon. Spooky was kind enough on their social media, on their Facebook page, they were kind enough to list to us all of the, you know, what's happening at the different times. So we got the official trailer this morning about, what, 50 minutes ago. Of course, I had to go walk the dogs, feed the chickens, that kind of thing. Right out of the beautiful list. I would say I watched on their YouTube channel. I think I was like the third person to ever view it. They released it like 30 seconds before 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time, 10 a.m. my time here. And wow, I re-watched it and re-watched it and re-watched it. And okay, let's just get right into it. So number five on the list of the most rad things is definitely that big, giant, cool house sculpt in the background. I love a house sculpt that's interactive where the ball's going in and out and coming here. And there's elevators. There's probably a beer fridge back there. Hell, who knows? I mean, we know there's jam. I just watched Evil Dead this morning. We know there's jam. Wait, maybe was I watching Night of the Living Dead and I was supposed to be watching Evil Dead? That could have happened. It could have happened. I could have been a couple of gummies in. Who knows? I'll have to go back and watch Evil Dead. This is just a reason. Maybe that's why some of the scenes didn't seem to make sense. And maybe I've confused them. But that's another reason for me to go watch Evil Dead. But that house at the back that interacts with the physical ball lock was incredible. It flashes when the multiball starts. That is truly a moment. Okay, number four on the list. number four on the list is easily the three head sculpts okay so the one spinning head sculpt that spins around that is so incredible that what the woman who doesn't have blood on her face and then all of a sudden she's angry and I'm assuming she's now evil and dead right so that one and then the two other heads that jump up I know no one likes the sclery brothers I think the sclery brothers are much closer to the Flippers and Ghostbusters. I also don't love the Sclery Brothers, even though they're really fun when you're not in a tournament or you're not trying to get a high score. Like, they're fun, they're interactive. I think they're fun for, like, non-hardcore pinball nerds. And I don't think they're as close to the Flippers on this particular machine on Evil Dead. So that's why I put them at number four. And they pop up and you can bash them, so they're an interactive bash toy. They're a toy, they're a mech, they're a sculpt, they're all three. That's what you want. They all look custom, okay? So that's what you want. Number three on the list, and this is also a toy, this is also a sculpt, and it's also moving, is that hand on the far left side. You've got to get through this. And this is what, not only do I love drop targets way, way, way more than I do a stand-up target, but drop targets that allow you to interact with a toy back there, like Scott Danesi did on TNA and Rick and Morty and kind of his calling card, right, or one of them. So I absolutely love that. You've got to get those down, and then the hand moves back and forth, and you have to hit it. I personally can't even think of, and I'm sure there is, a game out there, whether it was in the 1950s, 60s, 70s, or 80s, there's been thousands of games, right? I'm sure there's some game, even if it was some obscure Italian manufacturer 30, 40 years ago, that had drop targets, and after you hit all the drop targets... wait was there one with karate with karate champ or something uh no that had a very target that could also that yeah there was no anyways i can't think of one farfalla maybe uh i'm trying to think of one with like a moving a moving target or very target or anything that's like hidden by a stand-up target i'm sure there's lots and i'm sure you guys can think of them i should have thought of them before i started the show what the hell kind of pinball podcaster am i i'm the type that's going to move on to number two on the list. Man, we are getting through it today. I love this. We are getting through it. Is that topper. Get out of here. That topper's free. Like, think about it. Okay, I'm going to give you guys, I'm going to have a little sip. I'm going to have a little sip of the Yirga Chefe, okay, from good old Laughing Will, the company we get our angry alpaca coffee beans roasted at. Thank you, Laughing Will. Shout out, as they say. but you tell me that topper is not it's not just stunning it's not just cool it's not just interactive but that topper's free and as a dutch man i can tell you that's my favorite type of topper so like i was trying to think of the top five toppers list okay i don even want to try to put them in order right now but like Orbeez mini top five list here we go let get right into it You right now think of it let me have a sip of my coffee you right now think of some of your top five toppers I have them, I have them right here in my hot little hand, and I'm going to give them to you. I'm going to give them to you as I seize them, and I'm going to try to guess where in that list or what would be bumped for this topper, if any, of the top five greatest toppers. And remember, it's free. Does that come into my wang or my scale? I mean, I wish it didn't, but it does. We are in the poor man's pinball network here, alas, right? I am probably the poorest of all the tribe members, or pretty close. I don't know. I don't know everyone's bank account situation, but, you know, I'm certainly not the richest, I'll tell you that. I am thinking about buying a new pinball machine for Christmas. I am looking at perhaps getting a Jax to Open or Jax Open. I think it's ranked number 16 on the top EMs list. Oh, here comes Elowen wanting to cuddle while I'm on the show, huh? All right. Luna, Tuna, Elowen, Agar is over here for the cuddle. Draco Franchi said, I'm out of here. I'm going to go chew on my bone. And she said, I'm going to come cuddle up to the orbs. Well, thank you, Elowen. That was certainly nice of you. But think of the top five list, and then I'm going to try to insert this if it is therefore deserved. All right, here we go. Let me have a sip of my coffee. You guys think of it right now. Wherever you are, start meow. Okay, so here we are. In no particular order, but kind of, as it came to my head. number one I gotta think about is The Walking Dead, that epic fish tank, I know there's not that many of them but they're incredible, what was there, 500 of them or something, and now there's only like 400 in existence, I'm not sure but it's incredible, then The Mandalorian the 3D one, then The Rush the one with all the moving parts what do you call that it'll come to me later but it's Goldberg the Goldberg experiment, like basically it's got all these moving parts that work together. And then, for me, always, always, always, of all the retro ones ever, has got to be the OG for me, my favorite for years and years and years, was the Whitewater one with the waterfall. Especially if it's working and it doesn't have too much old cigarette smoke on it from being in, you know, from being in arcades for years and being in bowling alleys. If it's still looking nice, if it's looking purdy, damn, it looks purdy, you know what I mean? so it could be up there and I'm not a topper guy I'm really not a topper guy but I think that this it would be up there I think it would be up there I think it could hang and especially because it's free I'd have to see it working in real life oh my god I almost forgot about the top one that Black Knight Sword of Rage one where the guy in the armored suit is yelling at you and stuff it's very interactive with the game it's so theme appropriate it's super cool I love like medieval stuff and old stuff like that so my wife loves like antiquing so I'm seeing stuff like that all the time uh wow so that would be that would be so cool like that is yeah I I think that the guy the evil dead guy coming out of the topper I mean it looks like it's implemented into the game it looks so fun I don't know we'll have to see I'll have to see okay we've seen this before they had the other knife thing which was pretty cool. Like, that was pretty cool for a free one, but this is, this is hands down their best topper. Franchi, if that was your idea, grand slam, buddy. Grand slam. That wasn't even a two-run homer. Like, that was a, that was a grand slam, bro. I'm sorry, Chris. Okay, let's, okay, let me use, how about, let me use bowling. I know you don't like baseball. Bowling, that was a turkey. that topper was a turkey whoever thought of it that was literally three strikes at in a row at once give me a break that was a turkey in the 10th frame which you can do so incredible wow okay number one on the list speaking of Franchi is Mr. Christopher Franchi's artwork oh my god this artwork was absolutely incredible um it pops and it's weird because I didn't think that anyone could do justice to this artwork really as good as he did. It gives me nostalgic vibes for a movie that I didn't even love watching or only watched a couple times. I had at least two babysitters who loved watching everything from Evil Dead to Friday the 13th to Night of the Living Dead to... I definitely really got more into Twilight Zone and the Alfred Hitchcock stuff, and then I did watch a lot of Steven King, but I didn't ever get into I didn't watch all seven films of Nightmare on Elm Street, you know what I mean, or Halloween or anything like that. I think I saw the first two Halloweens. But anyways, I don't absolutely love the theme, but this artwork reminds me of like a comic bookie slash movie poster slash like toy figure artwork. It's absolutely incredible as Franchi smashes into the laptop, which smashes into the microphone. I do apologize. But wow, take a bow my dude it's like you just totally did it you totally did it and you just came in from going outside Franchi so you're not going outside right now do you need to go for a nap come sit down on the couch bud come here bud come sit down what happens is Franchi will see our chickens go by which when they see us coming in from walking they know oh it's safe this dog is not going to try to like which he never hurts them, but he will chase them for sure. He's a sheep herding dog, right? An old English sheep herding dog. But I've gone off topic. Let's get back on the topic. Thankfully, the time has not gone too long. Number one is that Franchi art. It completely pops. Like every part of like, every part of the artwork from the play field matches. You can see all like the, you know, the root system growing through there. Every single solitary part of the artwork, it looks good together. Like it fits. It's got the blues and the greens. It's not monochromatic. It's certainly... I wouldn't want to say this. I don't want to say this. I would need to see it in person and this always happens. I wouldn't want to say it's better than Elton John. I wouldn't. But will I say this? I'll be so bold as to say I believe it is spooky pinball's best artwork ever. And I like Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I thought that was great. I think this is better. I think everybody will say this is better. do I think this is better than Galactic Tank Force to me personally yes I think that I'm more nostalgic for this type of look I go to a lot of comic cons and even horror fests that sort of thing you're seeing a lot of this and I really vibe with it, it looks really cool I like the horror theme, I like the horror aesthetic I don't love the theme per se but I like it and I think it's better than not having a theme for sure. And also, it allows you to like, well, they went and got the original character, who was Bruce Campbell, I believe, who was in the original movie, and wow, I appreciate so much what the whole Spooky team has done. I think that Spooky is, without a doubt, I put some notes here, I put some notes here. I'm going to do the one bad. I am going to do the one bad. Don't worry, I don't want to not be, I want to be kind but critical. okay, kind but critical. That's what we're going for here, nerds. I will say this, that I think it's going to be their best shooter. It looks to be their best shooter. I love that little mini flipper on the side. It feels almost like Elowen-esque or like Jaws-esque a little with that little mini flipper that pauses. That's cool. I've been saying forever to make sure that you have more than two flippers on your main playfield, which is great. So there's actually four flippers with the mini playfield. You'll see I didn't mention the mini playfield here because I don't think there's that much going on in the mini playfield. I think it looks slightly more fun than the Avatar mini playfield. That's not saying much. I think it looks maybe slightly more fun than the Jaws upper playfield, but not by much. I do like where it is, and I think with it being a wide body, it doesn't get in the way and it doesn't prevent there from being other mechs at all. So I'm glad to see there's lots of side-to-side shots. I think it's going to be a good shooter. I think it's definitely their best shooter. there's no issues like I think there was with Halloween with too much of the play field being taken up by two or three upper playfields I think that if I if I had to be honest I think it's integrated by far the best that shooter so your shooter is like the double barrel shotgun and then they have those two shells that you load that I almost had on my top five list the two shells that you hit back and forth like well I guess it would kind of be like a target, but kind of be like a stand-up the way that it, you know. So that is so cool. They've just done a great job here. There's nothing, I don't know if there's anything quite as theme, theme integrated as that meat grinder from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but how could you really, right? It looks great. It looks fun. It looks like there's, there's at least, I was thinking the two heads that spring up, and then the interactive house, and then the hands that go back and forth, there's at least four toys that interact directly with the ball, including one that's moving, and two that pop up that aren't there all the time, so they're not taking up space on your playfield to allow for a huge range of shots. It looks like by far they're most flowy. That lower playfield the one good thing about lower playfield is you not going to be in there for that long So I think maybe the best thing and I didn even include it in the top five here not to take away from Franti art but I think maybe the best thing about Spooky is that they're listening. They're listening to their customers and they're listening to their critics. And I hope they're listening to this show, because they've taken every little bit of advice I've ever given to them and they've done it. Now my question is, is it limited into how many? and I should have looked that up here on the website. I apologize for the frog in my throat. I am just getting over some type of, some tournament or expo or Christmas craft show crud. And I've got to get healthy, guys. I have the Maple Pinball Open, the largest pinball tournament perhaps in Ontario's history ever, if not the last Maple one, depending on if they finished selling out the other days. I think about half the tournaments are full. if you're in the greater Toronto area, the GTA, make sure you get your butt there, or anywhere in Ontario, or anywhere in somewhere where you can travel to there cheaply, please make sure that you get there. Draco, you're not going to go play with the chickens right now, but why don't you go for a nap? Are you tight tight? Go for a nap. We just came from a long walk, buddy. He loves his chicken friends. He does love his chicken friends. Who wouldn't love chicken, right? Huh? Huh? I do. the two things that I worry about that weren't the worst thing about this machine because I do want to be critical for a second so let me put on my critical hat well keeping on my kind hat it's hard I have a big head you guys know I have a giant giant head physically and literally and metaphorically emotionally I have a giant ego but I also try to have a kind heart and I'm going to try to think about both when I say this the code has been rudimentary at best in many of the past machines but it's been getting better and better and better from what i understand the texas chainsaw massacre code is perhaps the best so far i particularly didn't love playing halloween i've spent quite a bit of time on it i didn't love the code i definitely didn't love the animations the animations look like they're the best they've ever done and they're integrated the best now maybe they fooled us and they only showed us the three or four really good ones they've done. I don't know. But so far, I don't think that anyone could not say that this is their best pin. It's by far their best artwork package. That's almost, almost undisputable. And I liked Looney Tunes. I thought Looney Tunes was like, you know, maybe an A-. This is an A++++++++! You know what I'm saying? So, I do believe that this is their best shooter. I do believe they've been listening to people about doing better on their code so I'd like to believe that this code is going to get better but as long as the code is even as good as their last pin because everything else is so much better because the toys are the best toys I've ever seen them have the most interactive, that hand moving back and forth with all the drop targets in front of it, that big giant house they had a big giant house of course before in Alice Cooper's but I think this is cooler I think it's it keeps the flow of the game better until that exact moment where you start the multiball I think by far it's their best shooter I've got hope that it's going to be maybe their best code and the other thing is their reliability I know there was reliability issues with Scooby-Doo I know people have had some reliability with almost all of their pins but from what I understand it's slowly getting better so I would like to hope if this is their most reliable pin I would have to think it's not only going to be their best seller but my one bad my one bad might be proven wrong and I hope it is because the one bad thing about this pin is that if you buy it new in box not if you get it used and I don't recommend buying any pinball machine new in box until you've played it and I know these guys they'll be bringing this pin to all the shows coming up so I would still recommend as I always do play before you pay this is the way but I think I'd be able to play this at many places I don't think it will sell out day one their last few pinball machines have not sold out day one I think if it was a theme of Goonies and it had artwork this incredible lever enclosed if Franchi is on Goonies it's game over that will be their biggest pin sales day ever bigger than Rick and Morty I even think and that's saying something because the market was different back then, right? So, wow. I'm even more excited for Goonies now. I will say this. The last couple of pinball machines by Spooky, if you bought them new in box, you probably lost a little bit of money. You probably lost a grand or two, depending on how long you held it, what type of tasteful mods you did to it, what type of market you sold it in. But if you bought a spooky pinball machine any time in the last year to two years used, it most likely, if you bought it at a fair price, it most likely came very close to holding its value. And that shows you that the product is a good product. It looks good. As long as they can make it work as good as it looks, this is definitely their best shooter. Cheers to freaking you, spooky pinball. Congratulations. I take my hat off. Or sorry, Franchi. Sorry, I take off my bowling shoes. I take off my bowling shoes to you, Spooky. I would never use a baseball. I would never use baseball to talk about pinball. I wouldn't do that. But you know what? Spooky Pinball, I will say this. In my heart, maybe, maybe, maybe not in my wallet, maybe not in sales numbers, but in my heart, I think y'all are number two now because you're listening. you're listening and JJP I will say this as well I was happy to see that IAPA you are taking two thousand five hundred dollars off it would be nice if you had done that originally like I had recommended to price avatar at but better late than never better late than never you still lost if you had originally released avatar at two and a half thousand dollars less like you're offering at now at IAPA to commercial customers, if you had offered that to all your residential customers and everybody else, you would have had the hype train like no other behind Avatar because it does look gorgeous. It does. Even though it doesn't have a lot of toys, if any, that interact with the ball. Even if it's got a code so complex that even Einstein himself could write the theory of relativity but still not understand that giant brochure. Okay? It's still a gorgeous, gorgeous machine. It is obviously a very beloved theme. You know, it's in that top, I'd say it's in the top 50 themes that people would want. If you were to question people, I don't think it's in the top, or I don't think it's in the top 25. I don't even think it's in the top 40. Might round out the top 50 if you had asked people a couple years ago, five years ago, 10 years ago, maybe not right now. I certainly liked the movie. I didn't love it. But you know what? I'm very excited to play Avatar. And I'm very excited that companies like JJP are now starting to listen. I still think that Spooky Pinball has been offering a very good product at a very good price. And I believe, here's my Orbi stamp of belief, if you will. I believe that this pinball machine will hold its value better than any Spooky has in the past because of how priced it's fair, because of how incredible the artwork is, because how awesome the topper is, because how many custom sculpts are in there, because how many things interact with the ball, and because how good it looks like it's going to shoot. I do. I think this will hold its value better. I don't know if you'll break even on it quite, but however much you lost, I would say on Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Looney Tunes, Halloween, I think you would lose less on this one. And if you are our location, here's my other top five. I'm throwing in one more top five here. We're under half an hour. I don't want to make this one too long. And also Draco's being very patient over here with me. Plus my voice is giving up on me. I'm sorry, guys and gals. I'm sorry. Coffee helps a little. I would say this. Who should be buying this new inbox or consider buying a new inbox? Someone who's not afraid of maybe losing $500 to $1,000 if they sell it in the first probably year or two. Maybe a bit more. It could be a bit more. You might have to hold it for two or three years to only lose $500 or $1,000. But I think long term, this is Christopher Franchi's full art package. I know he helped with Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I don't think he did all of it. Am I right? I could be wrong, Franchi. Let me know. I'm sorry. but this is by far like this is incredible this is this is incredible i think this will go down people will argue probably till the end of time whether this or munster's premium or elton john is his best art package and when you have people arguing about which is your best art package and you're already one of the most known and most legendary pinball artists of all time that means this could be like a top three of the top two or three pinball artists of all time art packages we talking this is going down in history of a top 10 art packages of all time maybe i wrong maybe i over hyping this man maybe i need to watch the video another 30 times maybe i need to look at the high resolution pictures maybe i do need to play it in person maybe elton john's not as pretty maybe that glitter just don't shine as good as it does on the high resi cam i don't know but it certainly looks gorgeous to me through a camera and so did Evil Dead. So the people I'd say would have to buy it is if you have a location, I would want to get it as soon as possible. If you're interested in watching the code develop, okay, if that has some value to you, if that's worth 500 bucks, a thousand bucks, even maybe 2000 if you sold it in the first year or so, I would get it. Because that's part of the fun of owning a pinball machine is watching the code get better and better and better and giving your own feedback to help. Spooky is the type of company where if you're giving them feedback on code and you're doing it in a kind manner they'll probably listen and they'll probably attempt to implement it if it's not too challenging i don't want to speak for them but like i just feel like they are the most reactive pinball company they're the most truthful pinball company uh not to say like stern isn't or something like that i'm just saying it seems like it seems like with bug and with Spooky Luke, it just seems like you get what, like, they're not trying to pull the wool over your eyes, like, they're being straightforward. It's not like the vibe that you got when you're listening to Damien talk, or even some of the other, you know, definitely Robert Mueller, or, you know what I mean? Like, they're, and Spooky's not even, like, trying to, like, diss other companies very often. Once in a while, like, to compare their product, they might say, like, yes, and we include a free topper, but they're not, like, they're not, like, crapping on other companies who charge for a topper per se. Like they're not saying like, oh, I don't like this blah, blah, blah topper that was, or that Metallica topper looked like it was just a smaller Metallica topper on top of a, and I'm going to make a smaller Metallica topper on top of that one. One of the funniest things, I used to drive a Toyota Echo before I became a beer rep and I needed to be able to haul kegs into my car all the time. And I had a little Echo and I saw another Echo driving around in Toronto that had like two other, like under the Echo, it said even smaller echo echo echo echo all the way down to the bumper and it kept getting smaller and smaller anyways I've gone off topic what else would you expect I would say that if you own a location you probably need to get this if you like watching the code mature or marinate get juicier and get better and watch it happen you have to get it if you're a huge movie fan and you're going to be going to any type of like cool comic con coming up this would kill no pun intended evil dead this would kill if you're going to a comic con buy it bring it with you like that will draw people to your booth like no other okay so who else would have to have it if you're a big spooky collector um i actually just got a message from don he's not buying two he's buying three this time and he's stacking them on top of each other and each one's he's going to have two on the bottom and then the topper of the two is the third one on top of it uh no i'm sorry don i apologize that's not true at all but i hope don's getting one why would he not like this is their best looker their best shooter hopefully he's going to have their best code if they're listening hopefully going to be more reliable i know still people have issues with scooby sometimes so I'm happy for you Spooky I'm really happy for you guys I think you're number two now JJP I'm glad you're pivoting a little and lowering prices please do that for everybody including your hard-earned customers who have way less money than your commercial customers like Dave and Buster's makes billions a year they don't need to save $2,000 a pin and if I'm wrong about that if it's just anyone at IAPA gets two and a half off cool that's even better and I hope that's true but if I just last week bought an avatar and now I found out that big corporations can save two and a half grand I am a little annoyed by that I will say that so maybe just listen up front and then you don't have to pivot later because then your sales will be through the roof you've lost out on any chance of regaining those sales but anyways I love you I love you, I love you JJP, I love you Spooky Pinball I love all pinball and the reason why the price is the part that bugs me isn't because I'm afraid to lose money on a pin I lost $1500 on my Guardians of the Galaxy and it was the best thing I ever did in my life because it helped me win the New Brunswick Pinball Championship it helped me have awesome pinball in my house for almost a year to play with my sons it actually helped revive my youngest son get him back into pinball because I knew that was the one theme because he loves Guardians of the Galaxy so much that we get him back into pinball. But I am losing my voice. It's probably annoying you. It's definitely annoying me. The dogs are like, dude, shut up. I'm going to go get ready for my last Christmas show of the year tomorrow, guys, and then I'm traveling back to Maple Pinball. Can't wait to see all my London, Ontario pinball friends, my Monday night pinball friends, my sisters, my auntie and uncle, my dad, my niece, my nephews. I'm going to get to see Jeff Tiolis. Shout out to Mike Dimas, Sean Russell, Julie Dorsers. Who else is going? Ian Harwer is going to be there, I believe. Adam Becker? I don't know if he'll be going. I don't think he went to the last one. Oh, Mike Castleman will be there. Carter Castleman. Get to see the Castlemans. The Pinballers, of course. Who else will be there? Lots of people will be there. Laser Los was there last time, number 8 in the world I don't know if he's, I didn't see him on the list coming back, my best friend Mel this megaphone will be there him and I are the only two guys that can sleep in the same hotel room together because we both snore so freaking loud he doesn't have a CPAP machine when he travels so we both snore so loud we're the only people that can sleep in each other's rooms it's great, but I'm going to see everybody it's going to be a great time, I'm going to see Eric it's going to be wonderful I'm going to get to see my new, kind of new stepmom, maybe even my new sister, guys. It's going to be great. I might even meet my new niece or nephew. Possibly my brother's partner is having like a C-section on the 28th, the day I fly in. Good timing. All right, so it's going to be fun. It's going to be fun. It's going to be a time. We're going to have a wonderful time. if you at all were ever on the fence about buying a spooky pinball machine I would say this is the title to get behind but of course I do not think it will sell out I could be wrong if I was ever going to be wrong it'd be this time I do not think it will sell out so I still think you could play it but go play it go seek it out follow them on Facebook go find this go play it if it's even half as fun as it looks get yourself in line and get yourself one because I can't imagine you'd go wrong. It looks like a fun pin. I don't want to sound like I got rainbows coming up my arse, okay? I know some people have said that about me before. I'm just too positive, but I'm in a good mood. It's almost, it's getting close to Christmas time. I'm not supposed to use the C word until December 4th after my oldest son Hayden's birthday. That's the rules, but, and I definitely would not sing to you when my voice was this hoarse, but guys, the Christmas carols are coming. Y'all didn't buy X-Men 49. Someone wants to never hear me sing a Christmas carol all December. I got lots of shows coming up December. I'm very excited. I do want to give a quick shout out to Colin from the Kineticist who did that really cool Roger Sharp toy, which I've asked my wife for for Christmas, which if she didn't buy last night, I hope she buys today because they size it down to only 15. So if you're listening right now and you want to get yourselves one, go on to the Kineticist and hit the Shop Now button, go into the Facebook page and hit the link. Thank you, Colin, for doing that. I know Joe the Dote of Dotes did the degenerate himself. He did part of the blurb and the shout-out. It looks so retro-y. It looks so cool. It's the only thing I've asked for for Christmas so far, other than maybe some comic books and a little bit of Lego, possibly some Pokemon. Who knows? Anyways, Pinball Nerds, I love you. I'm in love with you. I hope you had a good time. I hope you enjoyed it. I apologize for my voice. Blame it on Spooky. They released it today. It's them. It's not me. Blame it on them. Go spend some money on them. Take the ride. Here's the big thing with Spooky. You know you're going to get your pinball machine, and they have such incredible customer service. If you ever have an issue, I've never heard of a customer they didn't fix it for. So that's the one argument for maybe paying before you play, is that these guys take care of their customers. So who knows? Sometimes I'm wrong. maybe I'm wrong in this case. Trust your gut. Trust your bank account. If you can afford it, you want to go for that ride. I think it's going to be a fun journey. These guys usually get all their pins out within about a year. So yes, there is an argument to say, get in there early and buy it early because you will get it sooner. So there is that advantage. And if you're a location, I would do that. If you're hardcore into horror, I would do that. If you absolutely love franchise artwork like I love it, I would consider doing it. So I personally can't afford that type of pinball machine right now, but I look forward to playing it so much, and I would consider this is the only horror pin ever for Angie. I would consider putting in Orbeez Arcade. So that's saying something. Until next time, pinball nerds, remember to eat, sleep, and breathe Evil Dead pinball.
