SEGA announced a new Daytona Championship USA Motion Edition arcade cabinet with motion simulation at approximately $11,000 retail.

News The License for a Pinball Song Costs How Much?!; The Walking Dead on the Line at Stern Pinball; A New Daytona is Coming from SEGA & More k knapparcade November 21, 2025 Happy Friday everyone! A lot has been going on in the worlds of pinball and arcade stuff this week. This is my sixth article in the past seven days. How's that for bang for your buck :) ( Membership Link). Let's kick things off with news from Spooky Pinball. Last night on their YouTube channel Bug's Scream N' Stream they conducted the first ever live stream of their latest game Beetlejuice. There's nearly an hour and a half of footage of the game's early launch code for you to check out. In other Spooky news, the Company has been in negotiations with the rightsholder for the Harry Belafonte song "Jump in the Line." Beetlejuice already contains Harry Belafonte's "Day-O (The Banana Boat Song)" as well as Danny Danny Elfman's Main Theme for the movie and fantastic original music by composer Brady Hearn. Spooky wanted to add Jump in the Line for its Wizard mode, but they were quoted a whopping half a million dollars for the rights to use the song in the game! That's nearly $500/machine. Needless to say, that isn't happening. Negotiations with the licensor for the song continue. If a more reasonable agreement can't be reached Spooky will have Brady create something for the mode or come up with some other solution. It's Friday, that means that it's Stern's regular "Factory Friday." Today we got a chance to see its newest game, The Walking Dead Remastered, on the production line. As I mentioned the other day, the game is currently on the floor at the IAAPA industry trade show. It also made its way overseas to the Dutch Pinball Open. Click here to check out an unboxing video from the event: Dutch Pinball Open TWD Unboxing. Anyone who is in the Orlando area who didn't make it to IAAPA cn check out TWD RE at this weekend's Free Play Florida arcade convention: Free Play Florida Website. SEGA Amusements recently revealed a new version of its iconic Daytona arcade racing game, "Daytona Championship USA Motion Edition." The game made its U.S. debut at the aforementioned IAPPA show. SEGA describes the game as follows: "Daytona Championship USA returns in the definitive new Motion Edition, taking arcade racing excitement to the next level! Featuring a custom air-ride motion system, engineered for reliability and player experience, every turn, twist, and bump delivers an adrenaline-fuelled rush that keeps players coming back for more. Presented in a stunning race car cabinet with chrome accents, chequered flag header, vivid animated lighting, and the iconic Hornet High Class livery, this show-stopping machine commands attention on any arcade floor. Link up to four cabinets for thrilling head-to-head action that drives social competition. SEGA Amusements’ signature arcade-perfect gameplay, refined handling, and force-feedback steering combine with smart AI opponents and the legendary ‘catch-up’ mechanic to create heart-pounding competition. A 49” full HD display at 60fps delivers ultra-smooth, crisp visuals, while the surround sound system brings the roar of the engines to life — it's all so immersive, you’ll forget it’s just a game." Below are a video teaser of the game from the IAAPA floor and pictures of the new cabinet. From what I have been able to sleuth out online, it appears as though each cabinet retails for $11,000.
