Well, mine's more of a you know, because this weekend was the see if I get a premium launch party at the world famous rock fantasy. Esteemed BTS TV And they got several games there. Now they have Iron Man, Star Wars, Iron Maiden Pro, Iron Maiden Premium, Deadpool, and Aztec. How'd that get in there? All those games are in there, and then all the other games are in Rock Fantasy. So they had their match play. They had two different, multiple events as they usually do. They had the match play. It was actually called the Summer Open. This was their Summer Open. Carl Weathers cooperated as it was beautiful. So we're all inside playing pinball, of course. But of course, tapped actually is kind of, it's like a garage door thing that opens and then you walk in from the outside. I play, I started kind of shitty in the actual match play and then got better and end up, I won in a playoff game to get into the top eight. Playoffs? Playoffs! And then the part I didn't like honestly was, and I didn't realize this was gonna happen, suffice to say opportunities have appeared in the making these past years but they are not loaded into the 오디션 for its success I'm a fan of the game, but I wasn't feeling that. But, so the first game we play, and I'll get to Deadpool don't worry, the first game we play is Star Wars. Yeah, I'm 8th so I'm not picking anything obviously, so I get to play Star Wars. So I immediately message Zach. Yeah, which hotdog am I supposed to pick, which character am I supposed to pick. So I get that information, and he reminds me don't forget to move your multipliers, yes I got ya. Let's just say I could not really execute. It was more on my failure to execute than anything having to do with the game. Just missed a lot and drain. At least the third ball I got the video mode started because I picked picked Hoth and Han. So I picked the video mode and for once I actually didn't hit a lot of asteroids. But I scored like shit. I guess it's because I didn't have a multiplier on the shot because it was so early in the ball. Oh well. Oh well. Oh well. So the second game, okay, the second game was Iron Maiden Pro. My first ball, I drained pretty much immediately. My second ball, I got like 300 million. Mmm. Mmm. The third ball, I had to make it, I counted at least seven or eight ridiculous saves and managed to get through the last mode. So what is it? 10 minutes to midnight is the wizard mode, whatever it's called. Two minutes. Two minutes to midnight. Yeah, I'm really into Maidens. Timberland for the and I but on Maiden I don't know if this is the typical setting but you finish the last mode you still have to spell Eddie again yes you do to get to the wizard mode and that's only ramps yup the hardest thing to hit and let's just say I hit some of them but eventually I drained out I ended up with like 352 million which you wouldn't think was that bad I was third I finished third This week's topic is the most popular topic in the game, getting 352 million. That hurt. And then the last game was on Iron Man. And Iron Man was pretty much Iron Man. I finished third on that and was eliminated. So just that and the money? No, actually they paid eight. Oh wow. So I got 20 bucks. I got my entry fee back. Yay. So I was cashing. And Alberto didn't win. Oh my god, what the hell? I'm a gentleman who I should remember his name because I've seen him. The art is some of the best art I've ever seen. The art is incredible. Even the cabinet art and the backbox art, just awesome. I like the shots. I thought the shots were good. I'm still kind of worried about that ramp shot. Just got hit on the fly. What's it going to be like if the flipper starts to get a little weak? Is it going to be able to make it up? Mm-hmm. Because we had it, you know, this thing is fresh out of the box and when I hit some shots up there that they made it up to the top. It was hard to get around that bend. Yeah, we'll get up the bend and we'll get up the ramp and kind of die and then just kind of trickle and then make it all the way. So I'm a little concerned about that. Other than that though, I like the whole battle. Like, it's like you're playing Street Fighter. Oh yeah, definitely. Everyone's got energy meters and you hit shots and then there's like the finish him. Yep, and you gotta bring them up, you know, you gotta bring people in to make it easier for, you know, like a trade out or a swap. Yeah, so if you hit shots, hit certain people's shots, you can get their character so they help you. It's like Wolverine will help you out. I'm going to be a little bit more specific about the pinball princess. I actually watched the Tim tutorial from Stern and wrote down notes so she could tell me what to do. Well, in herself, obviously. I was like, how does Locke get lit? You know, things like, you know, simple things like that. Oh, you hit these dead targets. Oh, okay. So I guess this could be our one our one mail item. I going to read this out So for those of you who wonder what the hell causes sudden death to start in roller games including me here we go And this is with a full disclaimer Sounds like he pretty sure this is true All right here we go On roller games L2 which I believe is the latest and greatest sudden death is started by either roller motion mystery or at random during gameplay Now, as far as the roller motion mystery, you have an 8% chance of getting it if sudden death has not been played yet. This player, this game. You have a 16% chance if sudden death has been played, this player, this game. Really, so you have more of a chance of getting it again if you've already got it, the way I'm reading it. Okay. Then the other part, the one that happens all the time or just seems to randomly start, random during gameplay. The game might decide that sudden death is not available at all this ball in play. On a three-ball game, there is a 50% chance of no sudden death on ball one, no ruling out on balls two and three. If sudden death is qualified this ball in play, the game decides per random chance on starting This week's viewer recommendation for the Tim Gunn 보시, Pinball unpredictivity, pinball activity includes being in the status report and ball search of course. I have not found any evidence that game statistics have an influence. And that's with a full disclaimer. Okay. So pretty much really is random. Yes. Someone needs to fix that. That's a big issue in tournaments. I mean you have the ball stealing, you have the lock stealing, but the sudden death thing is just ridiculous. And there is a tournament setting on roller games. I have it set to tournament settings, and it has no effect on sudden death it seems. That's a Roller Games mystery. Da na na na da na, da da da da da. Alright, wanna get to tech stuff? Yeah, we can go to tech stuff. Alright, well, I forgot to tell the story last week. My spanish eyes, I had it on the first floor, if you recall, for Stomp, So after the tournament, I think it was on Sunday. I decide like, okay, we're going to break this thing down and bring it downstairs. I go to take the head off and I'm turning one of the head bolts and it just keeps turning and turning and turning and turning. So the T nut stripped or pulled out of the wood. Yeah, the T nut wasn't stripped. It just was not catching on the wood. So itself was just turning and turning and turning. Or the tabs broken. Yeah. Yeah, that pretty much. Yeah. This was a weird looking T nut. I showed it to Zach and he thought it was weird looking so I don't think it was original. Something some idiot put in there because I had to replace one of the t-nuts in there. And I had like a new one that's got like like the blades that really jut in there's no way this thing is slipping. This one didn't look anything like that. So I'm turning it I'm turning it I can't get you know it just won't catch so what am I going to do Bruce? What are you going to do? If you're a professional pinball enthusiast, you're gonna open up the whole body, raise the playfield all the way up, get a pair of channel locks or pliers, go underneath, grab that T-nut, and try to hold it while trying to loosen that bolt. Alright, that's one option. Really? Well, I did pretty much, I took the playfield out of the game, but even with the playfield out of the game, it was impossible to see what you were doing. Okay. It was nearly impossible to maneuver like something like channellock in there and try to grab it. Hey there Weie here with Randy Petty he just asphalt嬡stalk牧 suicide. What we did was uh uhhh we just about filled. Ride saviour rien..? Yeah , we got some people sitting on your dog o.k.. The dogs... certo... That's just how we roll! We're just going I got it out with vacant. Where on earth did you find it? That's the earth! So what I did and I'm looking it up online and it's like yeah you'll have to cut the bolt like no no I would have to take the other bolts out somehow slide the head all the way over so I might have access and someone would have to hold the head while I do this so I don't have that option so I take my phone I take a picture of this t-nut from underneath because I can't see anything and the t-nut has you can see where the nubs are but it also had two holes two holes I go all the way through I'm thinking, hmm, if I could get a screw through one of those holes, so then it won't spin, and I might be able to get this thing out. Oh. Hmm. Now again, I can't see anything. I have no access. Even with the playfield out, I have no way to stick my head in there. So I get a, I had to get a, had to be a Phillips head screw. I put a small head on it so I could get it into the hole because the bolt's still going through there. So that's kind of in the way. I'm reachingin through the head, I'm like behind the game, put my hands in, trying to feel for this hole, get the screw into the hole, stop, stop, yeah, yeah. So I get in there and I get it to start turning where it actually catches. So I screw it in, I get it in, try to turn the head bolt and it still wants to slip a little bit but it finally, boom, it comes loose. I get it out. Two and a half hours later. And that T-nut was thrown out immediately. Really? You didn't want to use it again? No, I would have used it again. No. So now I have three head bolts in there. Next time I'm at the hardware store, I'll get a real T-nut and put that in there so I can put the four head bolts in again. That was a pain in the ass. I believe I have got the Metallica in the correct settings now that were supposedly wrong. Did you screw them up? Thank you. You're so nice, Bruce. I just tell it like it is. And TNA. Ugh. No, come on, Bruce. So, TNA, one of the main issues we had after everything else was fixed was it kept giving this switch to error. Switch to and drop target error. And it's hard to explain this, but what would happen is if you lock one ball, it's behind the second drop target. When the game would end, or maybe even during multiball, it would try to, it would drop the target. When it dropped the target, it would knock the ball back into the third target and it would come back and still rest against the second target. The second target would not go down. Okay. And that's what was happening during Stomp. It kept happening when I was playing it a few days ago. And when I was at Rock Fantasy, they have a TNA there on loan. Okay. I'm standing next to Alberto when it happens and alberto's like yeah we have one in new york city does the same thing like okay so this is a common issue so i go to pin side i can't find anything on it i must not have looked hard enough this has to be out there but whatever i started screwing with it um tonight like actually an hour or two before we went on and i was able to fix it and you know what the fix was throwing it in the dumpster Homeless Mr. TNA's awesome. Here was the fix. Same exact fix as the trapdoor on dialed in. Oh God. Mm-hmm. Now they're using Williams Mac, so it wasn't a case of them not using the adjustment tab. It was actually being used. Mm-hmm. It just wasn't down enough. So I just adjusted it so that the small coil that does the release, so the drop target can go down, has a lot less, you know, a lot less travel that it has to do, I'm going to show you how to do that. Okay. And that's literally all I did. I did it so it would, you know, when it pops up, it just catches and then this thing, the smaller coil knocks it down. Flawless. I did like 10 times in a row, just like putting the ball there out over and over and over again. Works fine now. So that's literally all it is.
