TL;DR

RotorDave demonstrates full Scooby-Doo villain modes and wizard mode gameplay with detailed mechanical commentary.

Summary

RotorDave plays through Scooby-Doo by Spooky Pinball, demonstrating all six villain modes (Captain Cutler, Space Cook, Creeper, 49er, Black Knight, and Zeb & Zeke) and reaching the wizard mode. The video showcases game mechanics including mode multipliers, multiball stacking, playfield layout differences (posts up/down affecting outlane difficulty), and the wizard mode's castle-themed final challenge. RotorDave provides detailed commentary on ruleset depth, playfield shots, risk/reward decisions, and the importance of Scooby snacks for bravery meters and locks.

Key Claims

  • Earlier Scooby-Doo machines had posts in the up position (easier play), while later machines have posts in the down position (hungrier outlanes)

high confidence · RotorDave describing his machine setup differences

  • Scooby snack multiball can stack with other modes and multiballs, whereas Mystery Machine multiball cannot stack

high confidence · RotorDave explaining stacking mechanics during gameplay

  • The game has approximately 7 villain modes (character modes) that must be completed to reach wizard mode

high confidence · RotorDave counting down modes: 'three, four more to go' and later reaching wizard mode after completing modes

  • Side post position differences can make up to half an inch difference in outlane width, significantly affecting game difficulty and playability length

high confidence · RotorDave commenting on outlane ball loss: 'makes like 10 mil, probably half an inch difference on your outlane'

  • In the 49er safe-cracking mode, hitting Scooby-Doo targets provides clues to the safe combination

high confidence · RotorDave describing the 49er mode mechanic: 'if you shoot the Scooby-Doo targets there, you see it actually lights them up. So, it gives you a clue'

  • Black Knight mode requires hitting approximately 13 shots to complete

medium confidence · RotorDave stating 'from memory 13 shots' for Black Knight

  • New flipper rubbers on the machine make gameplay noticeably bouncier and more difficult to control

high confidence · RotorDave commenting multiple times about newly installed flipper rubbers affecting his play

  • Post adjustment on the machine targets was needed due to tight target foam requiring loosening

high confidence · RotorDave noting 'I need to adjust that left target. It's a little bit tight. So, needs to uh loosen the foam off a bit'

[music] Hello everybody. Welcome to Scooby-Doo. Let's play some Scooby-Doo. What I'm going to do in this game, I'm going to try and play through all the villains, all the villain modes. Uh we'll go coach everyone through those ones. We'll go over um [music] how to play the each mode and how to get the multipliers at the end of each mode, maximize those, and we'll try and get to the little mini wizard mode. So, let's crack into that. Now, usually on this game, this game set up a little bit tougher um than usual. It has got the game, the posts are in the down position, which the later games came out with. The earlier [music] Scoobies came with them in the [clears throat] up position, which makes your game pretty easy and a long player, which some people like. That's cool. This one's in the down position, which makes the outlanes quite hungry. Also got it set up reasonably steep. Usually the tilt's really tight, but I've loosened that off, and I'll put extra balls back on for this uh cuz we're trying to get through the game. So, normally I'll go either Scooby, which lights the his perk is to light one of the lanes on the side, which on this particular game those lanes are quite hungry. Um, or Deafany. And Deaf's got longer ball save times all around, which also come in handy. So, both of those really good perks on this game. On on normal playing games, that may not be such a big deal, but on this game, those are really big perks. So, I think we'll go dash neat today. I usually just go with the skill shot here. You can choose [music] your skill shot. They all do different things. So, this one here adds Scooby uh Scooby snacks, which you need to get to Scooby snack moldy ball. Uh those ones there add qualify the character modes and your trap door. Those red ones on there raises your trap door on the side. Give your mystery maybe. But I'll just go for this one. Add more. Add more snacks. And just missed it. So anyway, doesn't matter. I got plenty of snacks. Right. So, first blocks lifts. Spinning the spinners on the ramps uh will light your locks and shooting the white shots around the playfield lights mysteries. So, mysteries already lit. So, I'm just going to focus on doing those today more so than the multiballs will happen by themselves. Captain Cutler is another multiball which is up on the top playfield up there. You can keep on hitting all those green shots, but today I'm just going to go through the uh we're not going to play for points. We're going to play for show. So there's a ball too locked and we'll start a um looks like we're going to start Captain Cutler. Some people call him Captain Nemo. No names. No names mentioned. So in this mode here, we got to use the upper playfield. This game actually does it really well. Some games with upper play fields just you just keep the ball up the top all the time and you never drain. Like the Black Knight games for example. Oops. Sort of mucked that up.

  • 2:50
    [laughter]
    2:51
So, we hit Captain Cutler up the top.
    2:53
    We better split up.
    2:54
He pumps up the oxygen tanks,
    2:56
which is really cool. Very nice of him.
    2:58
So, we need to And he likes the shots
    3:01
on the bottom playfield. Now, on the left hand side here, we can see I've got three out of the six brown shots already. But, we still need to keep his oxygen up.
    3:10
Once his oxygen gets critical, like it has now, all the shots disappear. So, we need to get back up the top and spank him some more. Give us a little bit more O2 or else I'll make Captain Cutler aka Captain Nemo. We'll end up getting the bends. We don't want that. Or worse than that, getting a fixiated. So, we don't want to save his ass by pumping up the oxygen. [laughter] That was a neat little back hand. One more shot, I think. Okay, we've done it. We did it. We've did it already. So, now we can use the multipliers. Now, I'll try and do them and talk at the same time.
    3:46
Yeah. So on this one here, we want to hit Captain Cutler a few more times. That shot on the one, two. Come on. One more for another multiplier. We got to That music's coming up. Some real good music crescendo. We don't want to I didn't get I was going to let it come down or else we'll be screwed. Come on down. Come on down. We got 7 seconds left. I got to spank my shot straight away.
    4:09
Okay, so now I only got two. I think I only got two out of three. I need to adjust that left target. It's a little bit a little bit tight. So, needs to uh loosen the foam off a bit. I got two trap bonuses. So, yeah, you get after you complete a mode, you get the chance to shoot shoot for bonus shots. It'll multiply your mode when like like I just did there. And they'll be in various places around the playfield. That's lucky. Stop talking. Start playing. That will make a big difference to your [music and singing] um your score if you can get those three multipliers. But again, comes down to risk and reward because some of them some of them are easy to get. That that's relatively [singing and music] easy, Captain Cutler, because you get the ball up there, spank them a few times. Like I say, my two targets got new target foam on them, so they're a little bit tight. I need to adjust those. But you get those, hit those three times, says on the screen, then get it back down again. And you'll get three times track bonus, which is like really handy to have, especially in a tournament. Makes a big difference to your score. Um, for today's example, not such a big [laughter] deal. Okay. So, I think that's ball three. So, we should start mystery machine multiball here. Now, mystery machine multiball is a little bit different to your standard moldy ball in most of the modern machines. Not just every shots lit for jackpots just because. So, you see all the character shots are lit are lit with arrows on them. So, as you can see as I'm getting those, you have to shoot the shots [music] three times. So, you can see that that one over there. I've now shot it three times. So now you can see it's flattening. I get this ball down. [music] Now I can spank it for a jackpot. But you have to actually qualify [singing] the jackpots like I did there. Oopsie. [music] Give me balls back. [music] This back.
    6:10
All right. So, we're going to try and make this easy. We're getting that way. [music] Uhoh. Screwed that up. Now, we're playing modes anyway, not multiballs.
    6:22
    The word is lit.
    6:23
Yay. So, mystery award in this game is pretty good.
    6:28
    And I've also heard
    6:31
I've also lit my two door locks from getting the Scooby snacks. I think from memory it might be 10 Scooby snacks to light your first lock and then another 10 or five to light the second one.
    6:41
    Space.
    6:42
A space cook. It' be some like just a It'll be some white guy in a uniform, I tell you. Up to no good wanting to steal your land or something.
    6:53
Always [laughter] always after your land, those guys. Don't trust them. What's [laughter] Nothing's changed. Right. So spinners in space cook mode. Keep on shooting the spinners and it lights those. You can see the blue shots around the playfield. The more spinners you shoot, the more blue shots you get and also moves them around as well. So we got some down the bottom. And we also got a couple lit up the top. So we shoot them up the top for a bit of added safety. And if we shoot that middle one, which is the gold mine shot, which is that one there, gives me the shot and also locks the ball down here in the aggron lock. So now I'm only one one shot away from lighting Scooby snack multiball. Scooby snack multiball is good because [laughter] it can stack um ball saves. Luckily the ball back Scooby snack multiball can stack which the uh Mystery machine multiball does not. Scooby stack multiball can stack with anything. Stack it with a mode. You can stack it with Captain Cutler. Woo! Flip that one.
    8:10
All right. So, we got one blue shot, two blue shots up the top now and one on the side here. Come down here, you little guy. Oh, [music] I put new flipper rubbers on the game. It's actually playing really, really bouncy. Okay, I'm running out of bravery, so that's not good. Oh, I've run out of time on that mode, so I didn't finish it. So, you got to keep on getting your Scooby snacks. Keep on getting your Scooby snacks to keep your bravery meter up on the side here and also on the gauge on the screen. Once your bravery runs out,
    8:39
    you're screwed, right?
    8:41
What am I going to get?
    8:44
    A million.
    8:48
Okay, that's my machine to start another case. another case. But let's while it's here, we'll backhand the splitter and build up towards more locks. Oh jeez. [music]
    9:03
Uh-oh. Roll save to the rescue. That was a close one. You're not wrong. Right. So, let's start another mode which runs.
    9:15
    Uh-oh.
    9:16
That's a mystery machine. playing really bouncy. In you go, champ. Come on. Lost the shuttle together now. In you go. Thank you.
    9:29
Nothing like new flipper rubbers to put you off.
    9:31
This game's had the standard purple flipper rubbers on since I got it. Brand new. I just changed them cuz they starting to get a little bit worn on the end. Right. So, what's this one here?
    9:39
    What's that?
    9:40
It's the robot guy. Not Robbie the robot. Is it Robbie the robot? Who? Charlie the robot. Charlie Emry the robot. So this is simple roving roving shot mode but
    9:53
    and green lotified
    9:55
with a change. So you can see the blue shots roaming around the place but when you shoot the yellow shots or the green shots yellow meany shots it'll actually blocks that shot off. So if you you'll see if I you see the the roaming shot roams around pretty quick. And you see I shot there the green one on purpose. So now that the blue shot can't go there. You sort of almost almost have to guess where it's going because it does move around pretty quick. Oh [ __ ] Ah, bad bounce. So, not a bad first ball. What have we done? Three modes. So, three, four more to go. No mode completion. So, we'll try that again and we'll work towards [music] maybe get an extra ball as well. I can't remember what lights extra ball, but if it happens, it happens.
    10:48
    [music]
    10:49
towards locking other balls. Keep on spinning the spinners. [music] Keep on shooting white shots and keep on getting books. That's a bad shot. Keep on [music] getting Scooby snacks. It's order of the day.
    11:09
And if you keep on hitting those targets like I did there, [music] then you keep on spawning Scooby snacks around the playfield. More Scooby snacks equals more bravery for your modes and uh more working towards your Scooby snack multiball, which I've already got lit, but I'm keeping it for a special occasion. As I said before, if you just keep on playing, all these multiballs sort of just happen, especially mystery machine, cuz you're always spinning those spinners. So, let's work towards [music] lighting those lanes [singing] like I spoke before. Now, I do have the option here. I could [music] stack and it may happen. It may happen by itself anyway, but I could stack scoopy stack multi ball with this as well. [music] I think I'll keep that. I'll keep that for almost. [music] I'll keep that for another occasion. Right. Control. [music] So, what I want to focus on is like I was saying before, just hitting our shot. at [music] that shot there and we'll focus on hitting that one and then we can get some jet rock going.
    12:21
Where are you [music] going again? [singing] Okay. So now he's jackpot. So we [music] can hit that for a jackpot. Jackpot.
    12:30
So that's a jackpot. [music] But you matching all the tiers. So you've got to try and Yeah, that's the I remember now. Now I can get all the tiers the same. So all of those four character shots. So the the left one, which you can see from the top, the left lane, the center left [singing and music] lane, the center right lane, and the right orbit. And get all those at the same tier. That lights the super jackpot of the mystery machine. So if we put that one on one, [music] I think this is how it works. And if I get that one there at one as well, then I think that lights mystery machine for a super jump. We keep that up there. And if I backhand this and see if I get a jack [music] maybe have to get them all up the top might be the case.
    13:23
[music] Okay, now I've actually started the ball's gone in there. I'll start a Scooby snack moldy ball as well. I don't want to but the fall in there and away we go. So now I can collect Scooby snacks as well when I'm putting every [music] every shot with a scoopy snack if you actually [laughter] come on. Come on. Have a shot. [music]
    13:56
Don't [singing] look back. Scooby doobydoo. [music] Where are you? You lighting up one of my spectacular three-way brains that I usually do. Oh, thank you. Scooby [music and singing] doing [music]
    14:22
now that right blade. If I get the ball under control here a bit. Come on.
    14:30
Swell. All good. We're here for modes, not multi balls. Right. Mis lits. I spanked that. The only problem is I suppose with this camera, you can't see some of these things that are lit under the playfield there. But there's a blue blue arrow at the back there, which is blue for mystery or brown for extra ball. What you going to give me this time? Give me something [laughter] good. Case qualified. Okay. Well, that's good. That's what we want for what we're doing today. Now, we got the creeper. Creeper.
    15:08
    I think you want that.
    15:10
Keep on getting those Scooby snacks. Oops. Oh, no. Yes, please. Creeper.
    15:23
Creeper. Got a blank piece of paper.
    15:25
Who would know? Guess it's got something to do with stealing your land. That's usually the case. THESE JUKS [laughter] side lane. Uhoh. Hurry. How's my bravery meter going? I'm still good. Still still up. Where? Oh jeez, that was a bad bounce. Oh, I screwed up. Oh, that was good. It gave it to me. Thank heavens. Must have had a bit of latency in there because I'm sure I screwed that up. There she goes. Oh well. got an extra ball yet. So, I don't know what's going to give me an extra ball, but it's going to be a big last ball here, right?
    16:15
Tom, right? Some more white shots to start another case. [music] Always be spinning. Let's uh lock mystery.
    16:32
Mystery. Another mystery. Let's shoot the ball into the gold mine. There you go. Little lock the ball down here.
    16:39
I like to lock the first ball on that side cuz it's a lot harder to hit that when you want to, you know, whereas this one over here, that lock over [music] there is pretty easy to hit when you're playing another multiball or something. You can sort of just bank away at that. [music] Oh whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa. Come on, bro.
    16:58
    Get to the mystery machine.
    17:00
Let's get to the mystery machine, [music] shall we? Right. What are we going to do this time? Shoot mystery machine. Start case 49er.
    17:07
Now, this is another super inventive mode. So, mine 49er, you've got four lit shots and you have to shoot them to get the you have to work out what the
    17:20
what the combination is for the safe. So, I've just hit the third shot along. It wasn't that one. So I have to shoot. It's not the second one. So we'll try the first shot and then you have to sort of memorize it. Okay. So it's the first shot.
    17:36
Okay. So the first number is one. It's not. So now it resets the whole thing. So this one here you can time out as well. But we know [music] that the first number is one. So let's go with that. Stop the ball here and we'll go. So, we know the first one's one. So, we got one. Now, we go two. So, it's not two. So, it's three. That's one, [laughter] three. Yep. You see? Oh, yeah. If you um if you shoot the the Scooby-Doo targets there, you see it actually lights them up. So, it gives you a clue. So, one, three, what do you reckon? Four. No, it's now going to do it on again. And my all this time my bravery meter is going round. 1 3 2 4 1 3 2 one more for you. Oh, get in there. Okay, that was a nice bounce. Okay, so that's it. So I cracked the case. Now what's the safe ones? I saw all the Scooby-Doo targets. They sort of tend to come back and go down the middle. So I don't think I want to risk and reward those ones. So, I'm just going to finish the mode cuz we're down to our last ball and only one person.
    18:57
    Who's this? Dirt features.
    19:00
Thank you, Jerk Fitches. What's he after you land? No doubt.
    19:05
Oh, extra balls lit. We need that, too. Cool animation for extra ball just in the nick of time. And mystery is lit as well. So, let's spank that again. And what's that going to give me? Hopefully a free case
    19:24
extra ball. Now we're # winning right now. We're right [music] boys be spinning. [laughter]
    19:42
Apron locks qualified. So now we got that one. So we can stack that. Now, the next one up is the Black Knight. So, the Black Knight's one of the hardest modes. I think you have to hit like from memory 13 shots. It's a lot of a lot of shots. So, that'll be a good one to bring the uh bring the multiball in on my nose is gone scratchy. Going [music] to be sniffing and playing around. Uh-oh. Saved by the
    20:15
That was close. Time for another mystery.
    20:18
    Yes, please.
    20:19
    Mystery machine.
    20:20
Right. So, this is the Black Knight is lit.
    20:23
So, ready to go on that. I'll [music] backhand it into there and we'll let it do its thing while I sneak off camera to blow my nose. [music]
    20:40
Oh, there we go. It was quite funny back in the uh in the late60s when Scooby was
    20:44
playing on the upper play field. When Scooby was new, they um all of everybody, all of criminals in history dressed up. Yeah, I got the red shot up the top. They dressed up in funny costumes in order to steal your land. Whereas now in 2026, they just wear suits and steal your land.
    21:05
Oh yeah, I said it. Right. So,
    21:10
where's the red shots? Okay, red shots up the top there. So, it alternates between red shots and white shots as you just saw there. So, now the white shot up the top there. We'll try and get that one. And we did. That's nice. Now, some more white shots down the bottom. Now, we need some red shots. So, that one over there is lit for red.
    21:27
    Let's spread them.
    21:28
    Look, a secret room.
    21:30
A secret. Okay. Now, we got some white ones. We actually plowed through the 10 shots. I'm got five of them.
    21:38
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
    21:40
I don't know, mate. probably. [music] And we want to also keep an eye on your scoop, Scooby. Uh-oh. Woo. Oh we went to a little dark face there. Oh, don't go down there. Oh, lucky I got those extra balls. So, there's a, as you can see, I said those uh the outlanes in this game are quite angry. Did you see the one BEFORE WHICH JUST WENT STRAIGHT DOWN THE SIDE LANES THERE? If you had your up your posts, your side posts up, then that wouldn't have happened. That's um just makes like 10 mil, probably half an inch difference on your um on your outlane. So, it makes a difference between a game that plays forever and a game that doesn't. Right. So, we're almost I think we're down to the last mode. So, we got two extra balls. So, let's just cross fingers and we might be able to get that going. Uh bravery meter is down low, so we need to get some more Scooby snacks. Don't
    22:35
    tell me you're scared.
    22:36
So, I'll hit these red shots here. hopefully. And uh spawning some more Scooby snacks around the outfit. And I've still got my um Scooby snack moldy ball to play with as well.
    22:54
Come on, dude. There's all sorts of like little side quest and I'm I'm playing again very simply, but there's so much in this game. There's um all the um the hero modes if you like the character modes which are really all all very very clever and inventive which is uh we can do in another video sometime here we go. But on this game I just wanted to focus through the main the main uh villain modes mystery machine
    23:25
and just uh try and focus on one thing. It's also good for my playing to um just focus on one thing rather than trying to do 20 things all at the same time. So, call it practice for me as well if you like. Uh-oh.
    23:45
[music] Bummer. Right. Only one extra ball left. That was a bit of a sloppy play there. So, I think I do need a little bit more practice. Let's go. Let's get this job done.
    24:08
    Time for another mystery.
    24:09
Time for another mystery. Spanked it right in there. Right. So, this last mystery, if we can if we finish this mystery, then we'll be uh like Yep. Would have gotten away with it. Is lit now cuz I've got all those done. But I've still got to get through this mode. If I rain on this mode, then it's all for N. zombie.
    24:28
What we might do is while the ball save's going is [music] try and bring that multiball in. As long as the ball save still going cuz the game I can't help myself. I got a few shots. Okay, ball ses off now. So there goes that idea. I was going to bring in the multiball. So just bring in a layer a layer of safety but sometimes I tend to outlink myself. Just shoot the shots, bro. You can do it. Don't Don't second guess yourself. Right, two more shots and we'll be uh [music] got in the way with it. I can't remember how to
    25:12
Right. Still got plenty of bravery left. So, time is not a problem. Just that one shot to shoot, which I've now shot. Now, we need to Oh, no. Sorry. Like, one more beautiful shot. Oh, hell. Where'd that go? Come on, brother. Backhanded in there. Right, [laughter] finish. Now, where do we start the wizard mode?
    25:36
    Zeb and Zeke and Zeke
    25:37
jerks. Right, so that's good. So hopefully, is the wizard mode going to start? Straight away. Yes, it is. # winning.
    25:48
Hey, there it is, gang. Cranking Castle. It's the only castle ever imported stone by stone from Transylvania.
    25:56
Lots of good footage in this, too. Hey, lots of um
    25:58
I can wait. Remember those stories about
    26:00
all the assets. Spooky pinball. All the assets.
    26:03
    Werewolves,
    26:06
right? Hit all the purple shots. So, been a while since I did this.
    26:16
Up the top. They keep on going around the playfield.
    26:21
    [music]
    26:25
    You are my assistant.
    26:36
Come on, man. Super bouncy. Right, one more shot up the top there. This one's always a tricky shot. That's nice. Give me another ball. Okay.
    26:53
Still got to get it up the top though. Something something else to look at instead of getting it up the top. Can I shoot from the hole? It's a good question actually. Up you go.
    27:16
Right, we got two play fields going once here. The bottom and down the bottom. Woohoo! Okay, got that final shot there. Got the final shot there finally. Just gone into there. So, it's going to be interesting. See what happens. Okay, came out. Gave me another ball. That's good. I like extra balls. The way I've been going today, too. Nice back hand there. Down she comes. Quite now. More shots up the top. [laughter] Shoot standing targets to hunt. I should read the screen really. So, the green shots obviously do something as well. [groaning] Okay. Oops. See, down she comes through. [music] Right back up the top. Oh, I see. So, it's got a house meter up the top there for Frankenstein. So, that's cool. Nice Frankenstein to make a guest appearance.
    28:12
Right back up the top again. One of these three targets down the bottom help as well. They probably do, you know, cuz they're flashing, but safer up the top.
    28:28
I'm going to hit these block targets down the bottom here and see if they do anything eventually. Okay, that flipper so I get back up the top again. Always be fluid in your plans. Ah, right now we'll hit those targets. Oh, or not. Whoa. Did you see that? Well,
    28:51
that's flashing. So, it means we can catch it now. Shoot mystery machines to lock a ball. Okay, I did that. [music]
    28:59
    Look, a fortune teller.
    29:01
Oh, this is stage two. Yeah.
    29:03
Oh, let's stop. Fortune telling is all nonsense.
    29:07
Storm is coming. We better hurry.
    29:10
    So, you want your fortune,
    29:12
you hideous crone. My pretties and we'll kill a guy
    29:17
dressed up in his funny costume
    29:19
    trying to steal your land.
    29:21
Reveal your secrets. Tell us all.
    29:23
    Definitely some sort of guy.
    29:27
This is going to be a picture of your land coming up. Shoot 20 shots to say. Oh yeah, shoot more switch. But you really want to shoot spinners if you can cuz spinners equals lots of switch hits. So, we rip some spinners. Would be good. And then like some jackpot shots somewhere around. Shoot the monster jackpot. Where is it? Oh, I see on the lane there. I see. I see. Let's get it up the top. [music] Up she goes. I got to lower that other flip up. That's going to be tricky.
    30:08
Come on, bro. Up you go. Up. [laughter] Up. Up, up, up, up. There she goes. I got it. I got it. I got it. Now another 20 more. 34 shots. There we go. Shoot the monster jackpot. Where's the monster jackpot now? Oh, there. Okay. Over you go, bro. [screaming] All right. Up you go. Strap it. Ah. [music] Yeah. Get in there. Thank you. Another 20 shots. 16 more shots. Spinners be the way to go. But that quickly did it again. Right up you go. Spinner. Spinner. Spinners. Spinner. Christmas spinner. [music] Oh, where is it now? Up the top. The airfield. Oh [ __ ] [music] This has got to come to an end eventually. This is too good to be true. Okay, here we go. Airfield shot. Bang. Boom. Right. Here we go. Airfield shot. Bang. Oh yeah. 17 more [ __ ] [ __ ] 17 more ships. 17 more shots. And also some ships.
    31:29
Act. Might not count spinner actually because I see there's actually white arrows everywhere. So my my my scheme of hitting the spinner might be a dumb one. Okay. Up the top again. Oopsy.
    31:43
I see what's happening. I see all these saved by the rules. Not a close one.
    31:51
It was a close one. Right up the top we go. [music] Now, this one's like I said before, this one's always the tricky one to get. You got to get it right off the end of this flipper. I think you actually shoot it both ways, too. Come on. Father. Ah. Is there a timer on this? Doesn't look like it. There we go. Go around. Go around. Ah. [groaning] Oh, too tight.
    32:22
Go right off the end of the slipper. There we go. So, what's happening is I'm actually getting See, all those dudes down the bottom are all turning red. So, I've got It says I got four of the seven dudes. So, if I keep on doing this seven times because why not? Uh-oh, there we go. The ball again. Little car hit little dude. Come on, dude. Under control. [music] Get this ball here under control
    32:54
and get him [music] right. We'll backhand that sucker. That'll be five. Go. Miss it. [music] That's cool. No problems. Put that up there somewhere. That went well. [music] There's no time rollers. Right. Trying to stop that. [music] Now for my next track. [music] Here we go. Here we go. Here we go. Up you go. [music] Right back into it again. That's five of the seven. I like the ball save. It's good. If you work if you worked hard to get into a mode, then hey, and you you're not going to get there every day. It's not super easy to get here. So, let's make it worthwhile for you. I like that. I approve.
    33:52
Oopsie. There we go. Backhand that sucker. Up you go. Thank you. Was that six or seven? One more. Come on, bro. Another 20 swing hits. [music] Quite like this. Actually, I might uh I might rip it off and put it into one of the homebrew designs. I'm sure they'll be appreciative. The monster jackpot or it captain snaggletooth whatever his hand is on the top. [ __ ] YOU SEE THAT? RIGHT. [music] Make that guy. No. [laughter] And you're a sick guy. [music] Up you go, brother. [laughter]
    34:37
Come on, man. Here we go. Boom. Yay. I'm here to finish the move. # winning. I bet you that I bet you that fortune teller is a dude. I bet you he's going to steal your land. too.
    34:56
    Some of them some [ __ ]
    34:59
    explains a lot.
    35:00
    He's He's after your acorage.
    35:03
We're in New Zealand. He'll steal your big deers. [laughter]
    35:07
Yes, I'd have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn't for you jerks.
    35:10
Blasted kids and their dogs. Haha. So,
    35:18
    the green look
    35:19
is Shaggy is Scooby-Doo a fiction of Scoobies of Shaggy's like stoned mind? I don't think he is because everyone else talks to him as well. Unless they're all stoned, of course, cuz it was the [music] ' 60s. But, um, Shaggy Shaggy Shaggy is definitely a stoner. Hold the phone and there she goes. Well, mission accomplished. Yay. Mission accomplished. I did what I said I wanted to do. Got through all the villain dudes and I got another ball.
    35:54
Well, that's handy. I got through all the villain modes. Got to the wizard mode. Showed you how to play them. Hopefully, we had a bit of fun. Play one more ball and we'll see what happens. Right. So, we got still got that. What I might do now, smack those ones down. If the ball doesn't drain straight away, which it did, I'll smack these things down over here on the side.
    36:18
    Got another mystery award.
    36:21
    Black Knight.
    36:22
Oh, the Black Knight. Back. So, I'm back to the start again as far as the modes go.
    36:26
    Shoot the white.
    36:27
Let him go down there. We'll stack up this um Scooby snack mode. We got 69. 69 um Scooby snacks. So, we'll see if we can get to 100 Scooby snacks, I think it is. Then you can, which might be a might be a big ask on one ball. Get that into there and that'll come down and lock into here into these purple fell things.
    36:50
    Extract multiball.
    36:51
Now, I believe that when you shoot the Scooby snacks in this mode that they are you get two Scooby snacks for everyone that you help.
    37:01
So, that's good. We like that. So far, I don't think I've got any. Oh, yeah. No. So, that's good. And keep on staking the target to spawn some more cuz if we can get to 100, then I get to another wizard mode, which will be very nice. Uh-oh. Screwed that up. So,
    37:23
    93. Okay, let's uh work some more. 94. Uh-oh. Now, that'd be cool if I can do this. I'm just going to spank [laughter] that spawn some more.
    37:36
Oh, Jesus. I mean, Morty, right, slow it down a little here. Where are we at? 94 Scooby snacks. So, we got four more there.
    37:45
Shame that multiball is so bad cuz I could have really [music] scooped up a few more Scooby snacks. We go. Right. What do we got? 96 97
    38:02
[music] 97 Okay, I'm going to just bail out on that wall. I'm going to give him this lane over here. Oh, lucky that ball saver was lit. You can see what I mean about uh this game being a little bit more drainy. [music] I really want to spawn some more Scooby snacks. So, let's do that. Hopefully, it didn't really give me any, did it? [music] You see, I'm just not even worried about the mode at all. I really need it on the other flipper. So, if I flip it over here or let this come down here and see if I flip it over there. Oopsie. Come on, Scooby snack. A
    38:50
right. Come on. What about 98 Scooby snacks? Oh, come on, dude. Don't let me down. Don't do this to me. Oh, story of my competitive pinball life. [music] Straight on 98 Scooby snacks. That wasn't too bad for one ball. Throughout the whole game, I didn't even wasn't even looking at Scooby snacks at all. So, that was just a something that sort of happens while you're um I'm putting in the wrong thing. Not even thinking about it. The um that's just sort of something that happens when you're playing the game, but you can I have gone through and just focused on Scooby Snacks before. [music] It's then you get then when you get all the Scooby snacks at lights and other wizard modes. There's so much stuff in this game. Underrated game in my opinion. And um I say if it's a little bit if you've got one of these or you got access to one and you find it plays a little bit too easy for you, lower those down. If you find it plays a little bit too hard, lower the posts up. Um don't lower the post up, put the post up again and and alter the game. A lot of guys need to learn. He has a lot a lot in setting up a game, not just the angle of the game. In fact, a lot of games um here's Dave's pro tip. A lot of games if you ramp ramp them up, it actually makes them a lot easier. So you think, "Oh yeah, it's going to be fast. It's going to be Yeah, it's going to be fast, but the f the more you ramp it up, then the less side to side action it is. But it depends on the game because this game, the Scooby-Doo's got all these kickers. So, kicker here, kicker here, kicker there. Three kickers, lots of side to side action on the game. When it get when the ball gets out of control, if the ball comes back to the flipper when you hit your shots, that's fine. But once the ball gets out of control, you see a lot of zing zing zing zings. [music] So, yeah, you don't want to make it. I think this one's set up about 7 and 1/2, I think. And uh and like I said, the outlanes are down there. So it's makes it a yeah, if you if you play well, it rewards you, but if you play badly, it punishes you. And I think that's a happy medium for a for a pinball machine. You don't want it to be super super easy. For for me, if I play go around someone's place and play a game that's super super easy for me, that's that's boring. I I get bored after about 10 minutes. So I don't want to play a game for an hour. That's why I sold my Lord of the Rings cuz every ball's taking 40 minutes. [music] So bye-bye Lord of the Rings. And Lord of the Rings is a great game, but you know, I just don't want to play our Deadpool. We had a Deadpool. We had a three-player game in a tournament for over an hour. And so, yep, it got sold sold the week after. Uh, so yeah, we don't want games that are too easy. We set them up. But we don't want them to be too mean, too, cuz then they're no fun. So, you somewhere in the med somewhere in the middle is the way to go. But anyway, we did what we did. I was a bit bummed out there. We only got 99 Scooby snacks, but that's the way or 98 Scooby snacks. That's the way she goes. Hope you like that. We are. See you next time. Bye-bye. [music]
