It's kind of the main thing about this game, real fast. There are six multiballs in this game. There's five. There's one for each movie, and then there's two to go multiball, and we'll start with the movie ones. Curse of the Black Pearl, starting on the left. We'll go right. Curse of the Black Pearl multiball is based up on this ship play toy thing up here, upper play field. Spin the spinner until everything lights green, and then these two shots will light. You hit one of those. It opens the cannon to load. You put a ball in the cannon, and then you have to hit the middle button at the right time to shoot the ship on this side. You guys can't see it, but there is about a 1.5 by 1.5 inch hole on the left side on this other ship right here. You have to time this ball correctly to hit that ship, and if you do, that multiball lights on this left inner orbit right here. Green is a very simple thing. it's put three balls in the chest to put a ball in the chest you have to hit both targets once and it lights your lock and you put a ball in the chest put three in there and you start that multiball at world's end is like fellowship of the ring on lord of the rings you have to hit every shot once and it will light this big triangle red and once you do it will light world's end multiball on this left ramp on stranger tides is probably the easiest multiball to start It is this inner loop up here, and you have to hit it about seven times and on the seventh time It'll start it or it's a time Deadman tells me dead men tell no tales is also very simple You hit the spinner shot until it lights and then you put a ball right up in here And it has to hit a certain switch back here trigger, and it'll start the multi box to ball multiple And the last one is for to the multiball That is what this middle button is for throughout most of the game It's to collect gold once you get to 50 gold you You can put a ball in the scoop and you get a multiball to collect gold You have to hit these gold targets right here, or you complete chapter rewards Which is if you hit a shot a character shot for you one of your chapters you get three gold Not the best way to collect gold. It's really hitting these gold targets the bigger combo you get into before hitting this gold target the more gold you get I've gotten up to like 75 gold with a single with a single hit of that with like an 8 combo right before hitting it and you only need 50 to start this multiball and then you need 100 and then you need 150 once you've done it so those are the 6 multi balls if you do all 6 of them at once I've never done it you get some weird special thing. It's like, I think it's 666 gold. Some kind of reward. Insomniac, that should definitely be puke green right there. And that is it. Tournament strategy for this game is start one multiball, go into all the others, everything stacks in this game. Oh, it's my turn. I mean, there's a ring of bouncing that would work well. Like a return from the double triangle, the spinner shot, usually will bounce to the right slipper. That'd be good for a drop catch. So you also have left ramp lit for multiball. And if you put it up there, you'll get plus two balls. I would love to get plus two balls. There you go. So your jackpots, your red jackpots, your world's end jackpots is left ramp, and then under the upper flipper. And you just alternate. You just alternate those. That's all it is for that one. I'm not even going to talk about the yellow jackpot. It's dumb. It's impossible. I've gotten it two times. I've played this game hundreds of times. I've gotten the yellow jackpot twice. On the fifth level, you open an extra ball. Okay. Okay. And, like, so gold pops up periodically and you hit the button to collect it, right? I think I was doing that. It doesn't pop up periodically. It pops up when you hit those gold targets. Okay. Or when you complete a chapter shot. And you don't have any idea what a chapter shot is. No. Don't worry. When you put a ball up into the star map that has Jack, that red star map shot right up the middle. Oh, chapter start. Yeah. Okay. You have to have a chapter qualified, but it'll light a bunch of people on the table, and you hit one, it gives you three gold. Okay. That's the only other time you gain gold. Well, that's good. You gain gold as a mystery reward, and you also get gold for stealing people, but... Okay. How do you get constellations? Constellations. So in the LE and the CE, constellations are retrieved from the star map, which is that little fancy backplate that you can't see on any stream. But on the standard, it's the blue shot. So you see how you can see the shot right underneath the right ramp is blinking blue and red. The blue shot is your constellation shot. So you hit the star map and that'll light your blue shot. And it might go on for a little bit, I think it wears out and it fades away. But your constellation shot is a big blinking blue triangle on the standard. On the LE and the CE it's whatever your star map tells you it is. is. But the constellation is worth points on normal play because ten of them will give you an extra ball. Not so much in tournament play, I don't think they're really worth much. In tournament play the constellation stuff is pretty much like you got nothing else to or you don't know what to do. How do you read it? The star map? Apparently when it's there, it actually looks like the shots you have to make. You just have to memorize the symbols. Yeah, I have no idea. And we just do that because depending on what you do some characters are better at whatever goal you're goal you're getting. Like, for scoring this game, you could get a random-ass character and score really well with them. Are you kidding me? Like, my GC on this game is with Gibbs, and his ability is to increase your points in Tortuga Multiball, which doesn't seem like much. But for some reason, it was Laura's got a lot of points. And then the other option is James Orrington who just makes Your modes a lot easier Like significantly easier He makes it so like instead of hitting the shot That you have to make You can hit the shots to the left or right So instead of like you don't have to hit the left ramp You can hit the two stand-ups On the left or right instead And it qualifies But he cuts your score Into a quarter for those modes Are you not randomizing? We did the first couple of hours on LaserQ, and then we switched over to Pirates of the Caribbean. So now we're just playing some Pirates of the Caribbean. And waiting on Ty to get back from the bathroom, which was kind of scary. He has the BB-2000 in his bathroom, which is a device that sits on top of the toilet, which was, I gotta say, a little scary. That may have been TMI, but it's the internet. It's not like this stays up there forever. I haven't played it but like twice. This game is really interesting. I think it's an amazing design, and the rules, I know from a software standpoint, are ridiculously complicated because you can literally run anything simultaneously. So I know that the rules and the software is designed very efficiently and very well built. my issue is that in my opinion it's not as fun to play I think as it could be if there was some ability I guess to choose the chapters that you wanted to go through there's a character to do that though well that's it there's one character there's one character that allows you to kind of choose I mean that's what I really dug about beating Deadpool it took me a while but I knew consistently what I had to do to get there. There was no, crap, I played for an hour and due to luck, I never actually got to the other, to the biggest wizard. I don't know, I find that kind of frustrating, but I also, I rarely ever play for points. I almost always play to try and hit some sort of story mode or achievement, and it feels like that's just not in this game. Let me put it like this. I've tried to only go for wizard modes in this game for like the last three months. I've gotten to three wizard modes. Two of them are the same. So I've only seen two of the five mini wizard modes. And it's taken me three balls to do any single one of them. And to get to save the... Or, yeah. To get to the Black Pearl... Curse of the Black Pearl multiball, the final wizard mode, which is not implemented yet, because it's .99 code. you have to do all five wizard modes to get there. It's tough. But if you get to your first wizard mode and you're not playing Tia Dama to choose your movie and you get to a wizard mode you're probably halfway there on all of your modes already. Because you have to play so many chapters to qualify one that you're probably halfway through on the rest. Okay, I mean, there's... Yeah. But if you like playing for completion and you don't like Consistence, I like Consistence as maybe the best name for that. I could also multi-play! It could just be that I haven't spent enough time on it in the same way that I still don't understand Game of Thrones. You know what I'm trying to think? It seems really random to start modes up in the upper playfield. I don't hit a particular shot to start a mode, I get assigned a random mode up there, right? Ah, no. You pick the mode with your flipper. Oh. You always pick a mode, and you always qualify a mode in Game of Thrones. No, sorry, in Simpsons. Oh, I have no idea how that game works. It's tough, but it works like Lord of the Rings, where every time you flip, you're cycling between the modes. Okay. So you have to prepare for it if you want to select a specific mode. Okay. But on the other hand, you can play all the modes anyway to get to one of the wizard modes. So, it kind of doesn't matter for points. It matters more for points to order. And there's several different wizard modes that require very different things, which is pretty fun. Okay. And it's hard. It is definitely hard. The Treehouse of Terror shot is very hard. So that feels really good if you do that one. Okay, well, you know, I will definitely... At some point, I feel like if I don't stream it if I don't own it. I never figure out all of the rules associated with a particular game to play it. It doesn't help that I really can't stand the theme. I just don't like The Simpsons. Sure, that's fair. Yeah, that doesn't help at all. There was this one time Jackson beat me on The Simpsons and I was like, man, I need to figure this game out. So I downloaded a GameFAQ style So, yeah, rap sheet. So I read the entire game. It was very complex. And it made a lot more sense, and I really enjoyed it afterwards. Okay. So now. The thing that is missing in Pirates of the Caribbean is the hook. What I mean by that is when people start playing it, they don't have a goal. They just don't know what to do. I can totally agree with that. Eurydice says, didn't mean to bow out without a word.
