Another year has come and gone. The year 2022 is now over, thankfully. And hopefully, 2023 is a better year for pinball in general. It's not like 2022 was a bad year, but if you compare it to the predecessors, then 2022 definitely was a bit of a downer. But even though pinball in general was kind of in a bit of a lull state for the year of 2022 my channel continuously grew i gained a little over 2 000 subscribers which is about 5.5 percent more than the previous year i had 420 000 views on my channel compared to last year that puts me at a 24 growth year over year i reviewed seven different products last year and CPR used my trans light to create that mirrored back glass one of the best ways to win me over in this hobby is to show me something that gives others the ability to keep their games going for years to come pin sound just gave me another reason to love them they provide sound boards, dot matrix controller boards, but now they are providing CPUs. This is a first. Pinball, a graphic history of the silver ball. What we have here is a hardback covered graphic novel. Page count is around 200, filled with a vast amount of pinball history. And the solenoid test, just making sure that the UV react is going to go with the shaker motor. And it looks like it will. Alright. Oh yeah. Oh yeah! This is the Pin Monk fan. So now let's plug it in and see what we get. So now I know why I wasn't hearing it. Because you can barely hear the damn thing. Is your unlevel pin causing you grief? time to put that beach body to work mister that's it just lift with your back oh no you now have a hernia would you like some help the pin jack will do all the heavy lifting making the job super easy this video is gonna show you you how it works I had 13 different how-to videos showing you how to do a multitude of things when to go ahead and slide the heat shrink wrap on one side like so. Now I'm going to twist these around. Then I'm going to fold one end down like that and then use the shrink wrap wire cover to cover it up. Once you've got it fully covered up, Take your heat gun you can use a lighter anything that got a good enough heat and just cook this up to where it shrinks down I could pull this apart right now if I wanted to See? With a little bit of effort, a little stronger than I thought it would be. The convention entrance. The loading bay. the roll-up door these are only a few of the things that you need to know but before we get into all of that let's get you signed up grab this and slide it up underneath right there on the lip. Yes I'm a little out of breath this is not the first machine I've done today for crying out loud. I start out by placing it this direction you're gonna go further in this way and then up underneath you'll know when you're in the right spot when you're able to slide it in to that one it's in place up here in the slot if you're in position for these two then you're definitely in position for the third one over here now install the cover the two screw holes will line up perfectly tighten it down you have successfully installed your Chicago Gaming Company shaker motor First, you will need to clean the surface area. I used 91% rubbing alcohol. Peel away the corresponding art blank. Then ease it down the side while deterring from prematurely sticking to the cabinet. I did an update on my most viewed video, and that was how to go about cleaning and waxing your game. First up is wax. This is the wax I'm currently using. I say currently because I hear great things about Blitz Wax and P21S. I showed you how to access the entire top side of your stern pinball machine playfield, and that actually did a lot better than I thought it would. And another pro for working on your games like this is that it still gives you that nice slope to your playfield, and you can still playtest it if needed be. and you can see just on the top portion right there how much better that looks getting that hard to reach stuff And that's pretty much it guys. That is how you tear down the top side of a playfield. And if you want to know what a pile of parts look like, like that. And so what I'm going to do here is one bag at a time, when reassembling it, is going to be taken apart, thoroughly cleaned, and then reinstalled. In the opposite of how I took it off. Inside the package you will find the correct Phillips screws to use These are a particular size for the new fan you cannot use the original screws that stern gives you notice the size difference the one on the left is the one we're going to be installing. and finally how to convert your arcade one-up into a mame. and that's what i was doing but now what i have going now is this. i've got this switch that feeds to this outlet and then the monitor and the computer plug in right there and then all i gotta do is plug that in right there and then turn that on like that choose if you want to play let's say an arcade game That's the one I want to play. We'll hit start button on that. And normally, see, you can't hit start or do anything because it needs you to insert coin. So we'll just insert coin. So you can sit there and just rack up the credits like that. And if I want to exit out of this game, I'll just hit my exit button. And then I'm back to this screen right here. We lost a couple of people in pinball last year. Lyman Sheets and Barry Owsler. Barry began his chemotherapy, but this treatment had an adverse reaction, causing him to be hospitalized on February 20th. Barry passed away the next day. I also announced what my next restoration project was going to be, and that is Doctor Who. This one's for you, Barry. Which I have yet to start on. A big highlight moment for me of 2022 was winning the Best of Show Award at Texas Pinball Festival with my getaway. Best of Show Champion. Sponsored by Janet Moore Pinball ERS. And the winner is... I did two unboxings last year for games and that was my Cactus Canyon remake. All right, varmint. You're late. Supposed to be here at noon five months ago. So what was going to be a duel is going to be your execution. I'm going to tear you open and play with your insides like you think you can Hey, would you hurry up already? The girls want to play. Well, you heard the harlot. Game over. And the other one was for Toy Story 4 Lie back down. I updated my intro for my videos. I've gone through, I want to say, at least three to four different iterations over the last, what, four years that I've been doing this? I shopped out a Rocky and Bullwinkle machine, showing you how to do a few things on that game. I competed in my first pinball tournament. Granted, it's second place in C division, but, you know, it's a trophy nonetheless. I bought this mammoth of a machine, Need for Speed, that I completely regret. And it wouldn't surprise me if I want to sell it off here pretty soon. Pinball, the Man Who Saved It movie was released. I was able to view that movie, it was really great, and we're going to be able to actually see that around the world, streaming services or whatever, in this coming March. I was able to attend Expo, and this time I was able to go solo. I was not in the vendor hall the entire time. I was able to go out, meet all of you, hang out, go to places, completely at a moment's whim. It was great. And I only did one skit last year, I believe, and that was over the Mandalorian topper. Okay, so look, we've got a couple of options here. We can release this topper at a low price and have high volume, which would satisfy and make a lot of people happy with this honestly very cool looking topper. Or... Or... We can price it high. How would that benefit the buyers? Ask me if I give a shit. I should have seen that coming yep I did my first video incorporating someone else to have a bit of a conversation with that was a first time for me which also segues me into where I started doing live streams and that is going to be continuing into this year one of my main goals for last year and that's going to continue this year is quality now I'm not sure how many of you have actually noticed the quality beginning to get better on my channel because it's due to my patrons out there they have bought me new camera cameras we got this new camera and this camera right here along with a new quality xlr microphone as well as a stream deck that i can use for my streaming a mixer board all these little things like this are due to my patrons that contribute on a monthly basis and as per usual i've obviously got more content on the way i've got a product being sent to me as we speak i should be doing a live stream going over the newest release from stern tomorrow that's my goal at least and i'm pretty sure we'll have some new game announcements coming up here pretty soon that we'll be able to discuss as well. Thank you to all of you out there, the lovers and the haters as well. I'm just glad that at least for those of you that are new to my channel are at least giving it a shot. A few things that I look forward to in the year 2023 is obviously the newer games that are gonna be finally revealed, one of which has been ready for over a year and a half now, two years. And I'm looking forward to doing some collaboration stuff with other content creators out there, actually. So that's it. If you have not already, hit that subscribe button. Ding my dong. That way you can be notified of whenever I post something for your viewing pleasure. And until next time, guys. Peace out.
