Check this out. Hey, baby. Hi there. Whoa. I like, uh, how much or something? Fifty. Cool. Hey, Beavis, you got fifty cents? Coming to you from beautiful upstate New York, this is the Slam Tilt Podcast, a show about all things pinball. I'm your host, Ron Hallett, here with my co-host, Bruce Nightingale. Slavin' away, I'm slavin' away. Yes, you are. We didn't record our usual day yesterday. What happened? A friend of Kathy's and mine, who we haven't seen in about 15 years, was in Rochester. So, as good friends and people, you know, that you see and know, you want to see and enjoy, we did that. We hung out with him all night. All night long, all night. All right. Oh, yeah. You see where your priorities are. I got it. I got it. Okay. And this is episode 103, Avengers, Age of Ultron. Ultron. God, oh, fucking mighty. What the hell's an Ultron? Uh, a robot. Oh, so they battle robots? That sounds cool. They do. See? So you might actually like this one. Hmm. Nah. Nah. Nah. What, was it good? I mean, this was the one forever that was like the greatest ever. This is good. This is a very good one. Okay. So you recommend Avengers. I didn't realize, I thought it was just called Avengers. I didn't realize it had the age of whatever. Age of Ultron. The Age of Voltron. Ultron. No, Voltron. That would be cool. The Wyatts came out. Oh, we're fucking good. Yes. Now we're talking. Hmm. All right. First thing. And I had a Stern employee actually contact me and said how bad our timing is when it comes to recording our episodes. As the day after we recorded this, this was announced. And that's Deadpool. Deadpool Reveal. Deadpool revealed. All the pictures came out. So what do you think of Deadpool? I like it. I gotta hear it. Sorry guys. I have to hear it. You have to hear it? Yep. As in? Listen to it because if I don't, I'm afraid I'm gonna get the old Storm from X-Men. I am Storm! Hear me! And I don't need that. So I want to actually listen to this thing, which will be on tomorrow. Another bad thing, we're now timing ourselves out of it again. Another bad thing, we're timing ourselves... If you're talking about the August 15th Dead Flip stream, so Dead Flip will be streaming Deadpool. Yes. And that will be at the Stern factory, and I believe it's going to be a Deadpool Pro. Yes, it will. So I'm looking at the pictures and the artwork is quite awesome. Awesome sauce! Very red. Yes, I like it. I like it a lot. I like it a lot. I like it. Oh, so will the Silver Ball Saloon be getting one? Who knows? I gotta sell my soul and a couple other things. Sell your soul and a couple other things? I like some of the, like Deadpool on the actual artwork he says, at least it's not another movie themed pin. Exactly. I have to say, this is a comic book theme, not the movie, and they definitely look like they had way more leeway. Oh yeah, because he said that in his interview. He said that in his interview. What he's talking about is the George Gomez interview on Coast to Coast Podcast. And I noticed during that interview, a certain former Slam Crew person got name dropped at least three times. Maybe four. Maybe four. Wow. That would be... Tim Sexton. See, he helped the programmer out a lot, supposedly, on this game. Ooh. Ooh. Yes, we're hiring young guys like Tim Sexton. Young studs. Oh, bah. In heat. In heat, ready to rock and roll. Young studs in heat. Young studs in heat. Is that a porno? Sounds like a porno. It is. Deadpool porn. With Timmer. Timmer! Oh, God. I'm looking at the artwork. It is, uh... Yeah. It's cool. It is cool. There's like no area of the playfield left un-artworked. Yes. And it looks like on the LE you get the cool little side stickers that have even more art and more funny quotes, I would assume, on them. I can't really read them from this picture. Yeah. It has the bobblehead doll that we talked about last episode. Mm-hmm. As an interesting little shot where it comes around like this, like a loop or like a little, not an orbit, I guess it's an orbit, but it's like a right, right orbit shot that actually then takes a hard left and goes up a ramp. We have a disco ball. That's only on premium LE. Please do not, you know. Oh, I'm sorry. Not on the pro, not on the pro. We have figurines, again, premium and LE, although I think in the interview, George Gomez said they actually come disassembled. You can put them on if you want. If you don't want them, you don't have to put them on. I didn't understand that one too much, so I was going to leave that one for... Well, he said basically some people think it detracts from the art package, so they decided that they're going to be in the coin box, but if you want them, it gives you all the mounting hardware to put them on. If you want it, here it is, come and get it. Okay, a nice dated Badfinger reference no one will understand. They will. Sure they will. Sure they will. Sure they will, Bruce. All the people are as old just like you. Actually, that song was made even before I was born, Bruce. Wow, that's really old then. That's really old. You know, it might have been made before you were born. I think it was. I think it's even pre-Bruce. Wow, but I think you're even older, so. Mmm. So what are you liking? Well, I want to play it. I like the, um, as long as it's funny, as long as the humor works, they did like, looks like the LCD artwork is going to be mainly, it's going to look like Street Fighter. John Tomlinsonito, You have a pro, he's playing a pro, a premium, he's playing a premium, Ellie's playing Ellie. And in the background there is a berserk. Yep. A frenzy. Yep, yep. And then something that made the pinball princess very happy, there is a sea witch. Yes. I hope this trend continues. If you remember they put the Stargazer was in Ghostbusters because that was in the movie. Yep. But I hope they keep doing that, just hiding like old Stern games in the artwork. So I do like the premium and the LE because they have drop targets. Lots of drop targets. Yes, 11. 11 drop targets. I mean, is that the most since like World Poker Tour? Yes. So I'm guessing though the pro will probably play faster. Yes, it'll probably play like an ACDC pro. Mm-hmm. Looks excellent. Can't wait to play it. Don't know when that's going to happen. Maybe, I don't know, Expo? It might be a couple months before I get to play it. The launch parties are coming out, so you never know. I think there's one coming up in Buffalo. Uh, yeah, that's kind of a long drive, Bruce, for me to play one game. No, you can play a couple games there. You're allowed. Where is this, Bruce? It'd be at Pocketeer. Pocketeer, okay. Yeah, yeah, see? Yeah, again, that's a very long drive, Bruce, to play one game. You can play multiple games. Yes, I can. All right, so that's, let's see, let's see if there's any other wonderful, oh, the premium, what is going to come with a tape of songs and the Ellie's coming with an album. Yes. Which you're going to play on the turntable that you surely own. Of course not, I don't own a turntable anymore. Yeah, what's a turntable? The good thing, I used to have a lot of records, but I got rid of them all when I bought my house. It's got a disco ball, Bruce. I know, that is definitely me, that does save me all the... The That is definitely you. That is definitely you. Bruce plays the 70s, baby. I like the premium Translight. And I like the pro artwork on the side cabinet. It's always like that, isn't it? It is kind of like the one thing you like the other thing. That's never all in the one game you want. But I would get a premium if anything. Really? I like drop targets. So you would get a premium for the silver ball saloon? Yes. But I like because I like drop targets. Nope! You like drop targets. All right. That's fair. That's fair. They're building them as we speak. Yes, they are. Did some video of the factory. It's very cool. With Gary being interviewed, also. He's still pissed about you giving away his number? Of course he is. Can't grow up. He can't get past it. You can't get past it. Grow up, Gary. I'm going through two different This Week in Pinballs. Wow. Hi, Jeff. Hi, Jeff. Jeff, I'm in This Week in Pinball. You're not. I am. Oh, is it the most recent one or two weeks ago? The most recent one. All right. Well, I'm on the one before that. Okay. So get to the one before that. George Gomez interview on Coast to Coast, which we just mentioned. Yep. And Dennis Nordman was interviewed on the Head to Head Pinball Podcast. The interesting thing about that is I guess he- He couldn't remember anything. Well, yeah, that too. And he actually designed Alien for the most part. Yes. I remember hearing- I remember hearing that, but then I remember hearing like another guy designing it, so I was always confused. I think he had the base design and then they tweaked it afterwards with the guy from Robert Englunds. Well, I have a Dennis Nordman story from Texas. When I was there with Ryan C, and Ryan C wanted to talk about Demoman, because you know he loves Demoman. And he brought it up again this time. And of course he did, because he loves Demoman. I guess management at Williams had a little trepidation about those handles. Mm-hmm. So Dennis Nordman just took the game by the handles and just like shoved it like back and forth a bunch of times And said there you go like oh, okay. I guess there's not a problem. We should bring back handles. Yeah, we should I love those handles So do I Alice Cooper's nightmare castle that I brought up last week. Yes, you did and Expo schedule announced That's the pinball Expo in Chicago So, finally actually says what it really was, which is Sunday's basically the tournament only, the tournament finals, nothing else going on, which is how it's been for years and years. Now they finally admit to it. Yeah, finally admit to it. So I'm looking forward to it. I'm going to be there. I was looking at plane flights. God damn, they're expensive. Yep. It's just ridiculous. Cheaper to drive. Take the train. You can get it right in Albany. The I'm guessing there's probably going to be New York City guys that are going to go and all stay at his place. I'm guessing so too. You could stay with Keith, the one. Or Lyman. Or Lyman, yeah. Yeah. So I think that was it for that, alright? So now we'll go to the latest and greatest. Thunderbirds are shitting, I mean shipping. Yes, they're shipping. You know, we really should have played at least a couple games on it, being that they were right there. No. Man, you're a snob. You won't even give a game a chance at all? You won't play it once? I haven't played any new game lately except for Stern. I must be a Stern boy now. Yeah, you're like, you haven't even played TNA. Nope. And you've been at multiple shows where TNA's there. Yep. What's the matter with you? They need to turn them up and they need to have more than one. I'm sounding like Zach right there. That's a scary thing. Yep. Alright, okay. Pirates, beginning production. All right, so we're going to get to see how the single spinning disc is and whether the upper playfield actually moves to the left at all. I doubt it. You doubt it? It's supposed to move back and forth. No, it's a little lopsided. It's a little lopsided? Yep. Uh, we'll see. I just, I don't know about all these wide bodies. I mean, it had dialed in, but of course dialed in was, according to you, their worst seller. It is their worst seller, but it's their best game. Yeah. What does that say? People are stupid. That, that's kinda, yeah. Well, I know why it's not, I know why locations are not doing well with it, because it's a long player. Also, no one understands the theme. It's not a license. Like, what the hell is this? What does it mean? Dialed in? Huh? Is it about a phone? Yes, it's about a phone. You can... Oh, yes, you can do that. Oh, and it's good at... Oh, yeah, you can do that, too. Where's the topper? I'm still peeved that there's no topper for the LE. Yep. How you doing? Yeah. Come on. Where's my topper? They had toppers for all the other ones. We're still waiting for the Star Wars topper, so what does that take? Well, we'll get to that. Well, there was the Stern of the Union address. Yep. Where Batman 66 is, they're finalizing the minor villain modes and adding two more wizard modes. Woo wee. Hopefully we'll get to 1.0 eventually. Eventually. Iron Maiden let see where are some current bugs that are being addressed New code I believe just came out today It did I just put it on And it really cool because you actually in the demo they actually show you how to get three multiballs So you're set now, you can actually play the game now. And the, you mean the attract mode? Demo mode. Demo mode, no, attract mode. Okay, no one calls it demo mode. Hold on. So is it like, is it as cool as Centaur, you hit the buttons and it goes through all the different... No. Ah, damn. Still the coolest thing ever. Now, you can go through it, but it only does one at a time, so you have to go through it three times. Mm-hmm. Hold on. Read me. Oh, we're going to read the read me on the podcast. How exciting. Mm-hmm. No, I'm just reading out. You're not going to read it out loud. You want it to say demo mode in there somewhere. It says demo mode right here. No, it doesn't. It does, too. No, you're going to force me to download it just so I can say you're wrong? Maybe. Yeah, I thought so. You're still calling it demo mode. I think you're... uh... Aerosmith! Work continues on Aerosmith updates, taking longer than anticipated. Yeah, probably get the Steve Tyler quotes in there. Hm? Yeah, make a great game even better! Then KISS updates, followed by Ghostbusters update. And the Star Wars topper is still in the final phase of production! Womp womp. I just, I just picture them like... Lucas, like, nope, still not right. Ugh. Nope, still not right. Ugh. Colors a little off. Ugh. Just over and over and over again. Mucous film, baby. That's what they are. It's all just licensing hell. I always get the best licenses. Then they won't let me do anything. Sucks. I can't wait to do my original game. Black Knight 3000. Play better. Or Getaway 3. Getaway 3? Well, technically it would be Getaway 2. No? No, think about it. It's high speed. Then it's High Speed 2, The Getaway. Mm-hmm. Okay, so High Speed 3. There you go. The Return. Mm-hmm. But doesn't Williams own that? I mean, you can't just do that. All right, let's see. What else we got? Oh, not much. Yes, you do. Oh, yeah. Happy Birthday, Bruce Nightingale. Ah, very good. Thank you, Jeff. Happy birthday to Bruce, happy birthday to Bruce, the big 5-0. I finally caught up to you. He's ready for his colonoscopy. Yes! Finally caught up to you. Caught up to me. You're funny. Alright, that's the news. I have one more news item. Mmm. I typically bring this up every week, and it finally happened. And that is the 2018 New York City Pinball Championships Women's Final. Finally. Finally posted. Yup. And you know what? I watched it, and it's fine at the beginning, and then the sound drifts off, and by the time you get to the end, it's like four seconds off. Which is a lot. So what would we do about that, Ron? I fixed it and sent an email to someone at Papa with a Dropbox link to a fixed version. I have not heard back. Hopefully, I believe they listened to, or at least somebody from Papa listens to this podcast. I'm pretty sure at least one person does. So maybe they'll hear this. Hi Fred. Yeah, hi Fred. But that's who I emailed it to. So I don't know how often he checks his Papa email. And I'm guessing the better solution would be for them to actually do it. I'm guessing the original video is fine. When they exported it, it probably got screwed up. So that's what I'm guessing. And they probably won't pull the original. They should just post like a fixed version, like another post. Just cause it gets kind of off. But one thing I want to bring up, I love the pinball community, but sometimes certain factions of it kind of disappoint me. Like when this was posted at one point, it had like 15 upvotes and 10 downvotes. Really? Yeah. 10 downvotes. And like 95% of the comments were asking about the incident, which we won't get into who that was. Most people know what I'm talking about. The incident. I even got to mention I'm the slam tilt guy in one of the comments. But it's just, it's disappointing if you read some of the comments. Most of them are just either about the incident or not exactly positive. I'm disappointed. And I know some other people were quite disappointed. So if you get a chance, even though this sounds a little messed up, you can still watch it and give it an upvote. Yes. Put some nice comments on there, because it is kind of embarrassing. Because you know those 10 down votes were all guys. Yeah, or all tools. So it's kind of sad. But we finally get to see the finals. So that's the New York City Pinball Championship Women's Final finally posted. Thank you, Papa. Mm hmm. Mm hmm. Oh, Bruce, where's my money? Uh, it's in Western Union Telegram. For those who didn't listen last week, and I didn't realize this until I edited, Bruce said if I could guess what game he got in five guesses, he'd give me $100. I gave you too many guesses. You gave me five guesses. I got on the fifth guess. I gave you too many. Yeah, well, you gave me five guesses. I didn't realize until I edited. It's like, wait a minute, I guessed it on the fifth guess. We'll be right back after this short break. I'm ready. Okay. No, I won't. Ugh. Man, we're blowing through the items. This is probably going to be a short one. Maybe. Maybe? Oh, God. Oh, let me guess. You got like 20 would-we-buy-thats. Hee hee hee hee hee hee hee. Oh, sorry. That's it. That's fine. That's fine. Just trying to keep it because we had the delay of the one day, plus I have to work tonight. Yep. Hey. I have to work 4 in the morning tomorrow, then I have to work 11 at night tomorrow. belangrijk I think the stats were like 15%, 20% more games, more people than last year. I brought the Harlem Globetrotters, which held up, had no issues. You didn't win a ribbon like Zach, though. Yeah, the pre-war ribbon, which there were only two games there that were pre-war. And he also won another one. For what? Mars Trek. Yeah, I lost to a Evel Knievel. You'd love it. It was all LED'd up. Oh, God. Right down there. You know how you love that? The flippers were off alignment and the spinners spun maybe five times a piece if you were lucky when you hit them. But it looked pretty, didn't it? But it looked... I think it had one of those hard coat or whatever, you know, the overlay things. Oh, then total fucking fail. No, it looked fantastic, Bruce. Yeah, but it played like ass. I guess what? Check out this message on the Yellowstone verbatim! I was there on Friday. It was only there on Friday though. It was the first one I played. The targets never bricked once. Oh! Yeah. I wish I could. I really should have tried to find the owner and ask like, are those original targets? If not, where did you get those? I need to know. I've never played a Bally Star Trek that did not have bricking targets. Yep, I agree. And it was, man, a totally different game. You could actually get the freaking 3X on a regular basis. Wow. That would have got my vote. Okay, I would have got my vote and So I brought the Harlem Zach was there. Hi Zach. He brought the fleet jr. laser cue and Mars Trek which Mars Trek was picked up. I think the previous day. Yes from from Wizards. Yeah I believe it was his anyway. He had it. It was oh, yeah, it was his yeah, so I I helped him a little with the setup. We turn laser cue on and it doesn't boot. Of course. Yeah, so he's messing with it, messing with it, messing with it. And the weird thing is you turn it on, I guess it's kind of tech segment, you get a status of the LED said zero, which usually means like, yeah, I'm good. Five volts at the board, but it would not boot. So you started doing the connector thing. And I said, you know, I like the frigging interconnect, just rip this, just pull it They were bought by CSUSB. N'alex Bank, Telegraph yn aba, O formations ara, farming, He's like moving the whole thing. It's like, you only have one screw bounding everything. That's good enough. Then he asked me, did it feel level? Like, like, can't you just use a level? Soinks! Soinks! Uh, what else happened there? They had, um, oh, yeah, Steph, the pinball princess was there. She came Saturday. Had a, uh, they actually had a golf tournament that I wasn't going to play Steve from our league, he's in the local Albany league, finished third, and Howard finished fourth. So Steph made some money and got a medal. Ooooooh! Cool, huh? Then, when it got near the end of the day Saturday, it started pouring, like, ugh, because I got to bring the game back. But it went down to a drizzle, so we were able to load everything up. And then we went from there, I drove to, like, Steph, me, we drove to Zach's house, stayed over, You'll fire me up for day one because down at 9 p.m. tomorrow we'll be talking all about garda on rides, damn Shapiker, param הי конpound I'm not scared, Bruce. I'm no longer scared of EMs. No comments? Nope. You can have them. But they're so cool! It's like a whole chain, like this relay turns on, which makes these other three relays work, which then make these other two relays work. Oh, looks like it'd be so fun to diagnose issues. You don't seem excited. Not at all. Hopefully you have some EM listeners who are like, yeah, yeah, yeah, yes. Like the emperor, yes, yes. Nope. Nope? Ah, just a solid state snob. THANKS FOR WATCHING! So that was the Saratoga show. And part of repairs. And part of repairs. Fun time had by all. I actually finally got a t-shirt. Oh, and you screwed me over again. I didn't screw you over. Yes, you did. Again. And let's hear this one now. All right. All right. So Bruce tells me, Ron, pick up some glass. You heard it on last week's episode. Yep. How hard is that? You already paid for the glass. That's great. That's great. After he says that, I see that they list like extra glass at the show. And there's three sheets of wide body Stern glass. Like cool, I need one for my big game and my cheetah. So I go there and this is before they even, this is like Friday before the show's even open. And I see the glass there. And I talk to Adam, who runs the show, and it turns out that a certain person had already I already paid for two sheets of the glass. Yeah. So two of those went up Bruce, so I got one. Okay, that's good. That's better than none. At least I can complain too much You do have the same two wide bodies I do Exactly Indubitably Indubitably yes So that was all. That was all. And tech stuff. I got to experience the Quicksilver issue. Ah, the reboot. Yeah, but it happened while I was playing. Oh, that's even worse. I never had it while I was playing. Yeah, and then I started another game afterwards and it happened again. Mm-hmm. Okay, now what did you do? I didn't do anything. Okay. What I usually did to get rid of it was reseat the three connectors on the power distribution and the bottom of the cabinet. Okay, so reseat the rectifier board connectors, all right. But they're all new, and the board's new. That's right. Does it have a new rectifier board? Yes, it does, and all new connectors. Hmm, weird, ain't it? Yeah. So you think it's low 5 volts? Maybe it's a driver board issue. Could be. Maybe it's not a CPU board issue. No, it's not a CPU board issue. It could be a drive board. If I have time, I'll look at it. I'm going to be trying to get everything ready for Stomp to Electric Boogaloo or Pinball Boogalooed. Yep, we got 14 players signed up. 14 players. Come on, people. You asked for it. I know. What the fuck? I had everyone asking me at every show. You're going to have that again. You're going to have that again. And especially in New Robert Englunds tools. Only we only have two New Robert Englunds people coming. We'll be right back. The Buffalo Show. The Buffalo Tournament. That's the problem. I think it is fearing us. Oh, you think it's just fear? The fear. Why the fearing? I'm not even playing. Eh, well, you know. I have Zach's rig, so this weekend I will be experimenting, perhaps with a live stream, trying to do two games. Oh my, two at once. Yeah, see if my laptop holds up. You're gonna do two things at once. You go, boy. Yep. So that's Stop, folks. Stop, which is going to be August 25th at the famous or infamous Level Zero Arcade. Oh! Match play. Everyone loves match play. We're going to have at least three stars there. Two of them are going to be a heads up challenge. It's going to be great. Are you bringing an extra Alltech board? Yes. Is that what we decided on? Okay. Yes, yes, yes. So if we use mine, we'll have to put the Alltech board in it so they're the same? Yes, yes, yes. The famous Scott C is going to be bringing his clear-coated, pristine stars to punish people. Nice. Yep. And we'll probably just put that on the first floor, which I'm sure he'll like because you don't have to bring it downstairs. It'll be the easiest install and removal ever of the game. Great. Yep. And I have room for the seconds, the possible four stars if it happens. Oh, so JT offered his fifth one. Oh, Jesus. Well, it's up to you, Bruce. You were going to bring two stars. No, I was going to bring one, and then Ryan was going to bring one. Oh, okay. So, if Ryan's still bringing it, I haven't heard from Ryan in a couple days. So, we'll have two, probably two upstairs and two downstairs. Yep. I mean, who doesn't want that? More stars, the better. More stars, the better. Dialed In will be there. A possible other game may be there that Bruce doesn't know about. Ooh. That everyone else other than Bruce knows about, that I purposely did that to see how good people are keeping secrets. So are they good at keeping secrets? I guess. I guess. I think they are. Good job, people. Keep that secret. Don't tell Bruce. Bring that Gamitron. That Gamitron. Well, that would be Zach bringing a Gamitron, but... Now, this is another game. So it'll be exciting, fun time for all. Again, that's August 25th, Stomp. It will be streamed. We'll be streaming finals, at least attempting to. I finally worked on Frank and Cheetah more. And? I put the new coil in for the upper left flipper. And I put the fuse in and we have, and I hooked the speaker up because the speaker was eaten by rats or mice. So I put a new speaker in there, I hooked the soundboard up, I have sounds. Now I have a short in the switch matrix I have to go through next. So I had to order a manual because there's no switch matrix online for Cheetah. Hmm. They have the regular manual, but they do not have the schematics online. All right. So I had to order that. So well, did the flipper work? Oh yes. Oh, okay. Flipper works. So now I have all three flippers. I'm going to rerubber it and I have to take apart and re-put all new coil sleeves in on every coil because they all kind of stick and bind up and everything like that. Then after that, I'm going to rerubber it and then we'll see how she plays. Hmm. Well, are you going to replace every socket? Not yet. I'm going to replace the middle ones though. The middle row. The middle row. Oh, the line. The line. In the middle of the playfield there is the bonus add up. Yeah, I think I pulled that from my... because that's a light board. Yes, it is a... I pulled it and replaced it with individual sockets. And I'm just going to put a ground braid along the side of it. That's all I'm going to do. Yeah, that's what I did because that's just going to be a pain in the ass. Oh yeah, that's my plan with that also. I would have done that on Dragon Fist but they're too close together. That's the problem. Mmm. And then, uh... You on? Fish, it's working, yeah! Oh my god! And then, uh, I'm gonna pack up stars next week for this trip out, and I'm going to probably bring in big game up here for a couple weeks. Nice! So people, hopefully, this week will be playing and enjoying big game at the bar. And I get to see my niece, Lauren, coming up. So you're gonna be pulling your biggest early solid-state game out just for Stomp? Yes. We're getting Ghostbusters at the bar also. Oh, I mean, yeah. Well, people will go track to it because it's Ghostbusters. See, this is a true businessman. Even though the game is horrible, he's going to bring it into Silver Ball Salon. You got it. That's what the patrons demand. Yep. Who are you going to call? Ghostbusters! Ow. How's Guardians doing? It's the number one. Really? I got to play that at Saratoga and thanks to the Zach training, I got the high score on it. Until Zach came over? Uh, no, he didn't play it. But the funny thing is, the guy was watching me when I was done, he's there like, you know, how did you do that? And I'm there like, just play the modes. And he's like, I have no idea what that means. Oh god. Uh, I don't really know what I can say to help you then other than hit the flashing lights. Yep. Am I a terrible person for that? Ryan Seifert, Seattleをたすき swiftly répondre to radio broadcast Do I have any more tech stuff? I don't think so. You had a tech question or tech challenge. Yes, yes. I want to start in our conversations, like me and Zach, we have a lot of these weird little tech notes that come up or little like, you know, what's the first game? How many games have this? How many games have that? You know, it's some of them are like, I think we could make games out of like, you like how many games have a spinning disk and you just keep naming them till you can't name anymore. And the person who can't name one loses, you know, something like that. I'm not sure if that was an idea I had, but here's a weird tech fact. And that is, and I'll give you, there's three of these games. I'm going to give you one of them and see if you can guess the other two. You asking me or asking... Asking you. Okay. Because asking our listeners is dumb because they'll just look it up. So I want to see if you could do this without looking it up. Black Rose uses offset slingshot arms, like the actual arm is offset, it's a special part. And that's to make room for the cannon assembly underneath the playfield. Makes sense, right? Okay. Okay? There are two other games, this is specific to Williams, there's two other games that use that same slingshot arm, the offset slingshot arm. Name them. So you gotta think of like games with crap in the middle. The No cheating. Nope, not even cheating. I'm actually going through eBay right now while we're talking about this. Crap in the middle... Well, one's gotta be, I'm thinking, Creature from the Black Lagoon. Correct. And the other one's gonna have to be Kongo. Nope. Wow, not a Kongo. Not a Kongo. Okay, second one Creature. Third one, hmm... You have it at the bar. And it was actually the first one to use these slingshots, these slingshot offset slingshot arms. So it's before Black Rose? Before Black Rose. Getaway? Yes! Wow. To make room for the big-ass light board for the tachometer thing. Wow. Yup. Who would have ever thunk it? Well, who would ever? You just did guess it. I did. I win. Very good. Later, Space Invaders. All right. And let's do this one. Next one, let's see who fails first. Name games with a spinning disc. I'll get us started. Fireball. Dr. Dude. Pirates of the Caribbean. Pirates of the Caribbean, Stern. Either one, we can go either way. I got you, I got you. Whirlwind. Uh, wow. Twister. No good gophers. Uh, boy. We're running out now. People are listening, yelling out stuff now. How could you not get that one? You fucking asshole, Bruce! Uh, twins. Is there another one? There's tons of them, Bruce. I don't... it's not one of my favorite toys. Oh, so you don't know any of them? No, not really. Trying to think what else would be. Just get one more. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Okay. Fireball Classic. Oh, you fucking asshole. Wow. Uh, what else is there? Five, four, three, two, one. I win. You could have said Tron. You could have said NBA. Both tied. Bad games? OK, go ahead. Oh Tron is big and this is a game Bruce owned. Yeah and how long do they own it for? Not long. You got it. I had other ones too. But you prepped yourself for this so now next week I'll have to think of a question. Yeah... You think something like that. I will. Stump the slam, Stump the tilt or something like that. We need a name. What is a good segment name? Stumper. Stumper. Jesus Christ. That's so stupid it's good. Okay, I got one already for you. Ready? Okay. I'm just gonna, just for you. Just for me. I don't have to name them. Alright. Name all the games that use the plastic pop ring bumpers for Stern Electronics. Pop ring bumpers. You mean the plastic rod and ring assembly? Yep. Okay. Name them all. Name them all. It's just gonna be anything after, it's gonna be like Cheetah and after. Nope. You are wrong right off the bat. What do you mean right? Cheetah has it. I know Cheetah has it. Okay, Cheetah, well, let's see, Cheetah, Flight 2000, Freefall, just thinking of the wide bodies. Let's see, Hurry, Hurry, Hurry Split Second, and what else? The Iron Maiden, the original Iron Maiden. Then there's the other games like, let's see, Stargazer doesn't have them, it's metal. Oh, nine ball, catacomb, just trying out the quicksilver, obviously, it'd be bad if I didn't get that one. Lightning, no, Lightning doesn't have a pop bumper. Does Orbiter One have a pop bumper? I don't think, does it? I don't think it does. Is that your final answer? And I don't know about Q. I can't remember, it said pockets. I'm missing something. Yes, you are. It's a regular narrow body games I'm missing here. Oh stupid dragon fist. Mm-hmm. Oh Viper yeah, I Do not have I IP DB up by the way folks. They'll be cheating. I Know I'm missing other games, but tell me what I'm missing. No, I'm gonna let you think about that Oh, what? If you're not gonna give the answer, well, I don't I didn't want to cheat well now you can what it was the answer It's just basically all the games like Cheetah or so after. How did I do? What did I miss? You missed one if I remember correctly. Really? I only missed one? You're right. Orbiter did not have... Yeah. You didn't say big game. Big game? Mine has metal. Oh, mine had... I think mine has plastic. Yeah, double check that. Double check that one. Sea Witch. Oh, no. Sea Witch is metal. Yep. Stargazer. Nope. Metal. Really? Yep. Because cheetah has plastic, stargazer has metal. Yeah. And in ways like stargazer is after cheetah. Yeah, it is. Isn't that weird? But it is. Every stargazer, I played multiple stargazers, they're metal. Yeah. That's why when I got my cheetah, I thought it was weird that it had the plastics in there because it's before stargazer. Oh Laser Lord Oh Jesus Christ You didn forget that That doesn count It not a production game It was a production game No it wasn They made one They made two And Q actually had one two three four five six seven There so many pop bumpers I think they're dead bumpers though. Are they? Yeah, they're dead bumpers. They can't be, there are not eight pop bumpers on the game. One pop bumper. Okay. One pop bumper, 15 passives. So there is one pop bumper, so. Wow, what a terrible fifth. Think about that, folks. One pop-up or 15 passives. Doesn't that sound like a game you want to play? Yes. Yes. What a terrible game. And Orbiter has a dead bumper. Yes. Yes. Well, that's the one you missed. Q. I purposely didn't say Q, because they made one. No, you said Q. You said pockets. Yeah, yeah, but that's true. I don't know. But they made one. They made six. They made one. They put it on test and they told them to take it back. It was so bad. They made six. Oh whatever, it sucked. It was terrible. It was never production. But they made it. Ugh, whatever. Whatever, Bruce. I win. Yeah, I win. I didn't know that part was a game, but okay. Yep. Do we want to go with your th- let's go with- let's do the ball bag. I think we just had one email that's fit to read. Oh my. Oh my. Yes, Gene Simmons emailed this again. Alright, go Gene. Oh Gene. This is Gene Simmons of KISS. Although I promised to write in on a semi-weekly basis as the songwriter of a host of platinum selling albums, and to quote my New York Times best selling book, I haven't written a hit song in 42 years but I'm fabulously wealthy so you can suck it, which remains available in audio, digital and hard copy format on Amazon. Creativity strikes you and you strike back. I write to you about my fall travel plans. Oh goody. I'll be visiting Toronto in October. Isn't that great, Bruce? Yeah. For the Fall Festival Circuit, where Jeff Teolis promises to be my ginger-haired liaison. If he can walk. If he can walk. That's right. His knee is just done. He's dead. He's actually crying wolf every friggin' five seconds. He's crying wolf. Okay. Well. All right. May I remind Kiss Nation that I will be attending Strawberry Festival 2018 in historic Long All of Toys R Us' remaining KISS memorabilia at pennies on the dollar. So please visit KISSonline.com for all of your KISS Nation needs. Thank you, Gene Sibbins. Thank you, Gene. Did you hear there's going to be a KISS update? They're finally going to make the cities do something, I hear. Yeah, you know what they're going to do? What are they going to do? They're going to state how many people you've had sex with in those cities. Wow. I'm sure they have enough digits in the code for that. They might not. Okay. So that empties the, uh, that was the mail ball bag this week. Yes. So we'll finish it up with Bruce's favorite segment in the world. Yes. Would I or would not buy that? Yeah. Yeah, it's we'd buy that or would we? That's what it actually says in the show notes. Well you make the show notes up to whatever way you want to. Are you ready? Yep. 192. Ballying 2, 619-670-772. Big game pinball playfield, 1980 original, used. Let's see, look at picture closely. What you see is what you get. It used to have Mylar. All right, feel free to ask for more pictures. Buyer has 981 sales with 100% positive feedback. There's one picture of this big game playfield. It looks pretty darn good. It does. It does. And it is, I probably should say the price, is $400. With $284 for the shipping because it's coming from Argentina. Oh, is it our... Yes, it is. Okay. Yeah. He was... This is the guy we mentioned that has all these crazy NOS playfields. Yep. I know he had a bunch of them on Facebook that someone was, said like, how much for all? Yep. So now, would you buy that? With that much shipping, no. Okay. Now let's go for this one. Alright. 192-616-760-577. Okay. NOS, big game, pinball, NOS, okay, NOS, big game, playfield. Yep. Same seller. The guy in Argentina. This one's for $700. Yep. Okay. I'd probably get the other one then. This one's really nice though. You see how black the blacks are? Yeah, it's NOS. I know. Probably one of their better art packages. I always thought this was a very nice playfield. And same shipping. Yeah, $281. I would get this one. Just to be better than yours. Even though mine is better than yours.하신a Sarantoni, big game day Pinball, backglass, big game, Stern used original, also our friend in Argentina. But look at those reds. Yeah, they're very red. Yes. Yeah, this guy actually had, he had a video of like his warehouse or whatever. Yeah. It was insane. But the only problem is in the upper right hand side, it's starting to peel. Oh yeah. But those reds, I've never seen a reds and the nose being so red and the lips and the And I'm aiming on the mouth and the tongue being so red on a... Ooh, the lips, the mouth and the tongue, okay. Yes. Oh my. That was $299 with $269 of shipping, but unfortunately, now we're going to go to one that Ron's going to really want to go for. Ooh, okay. Ticket number 192-620-284-807. Again, the same guy from Argentina. Ali Stern Pinball, original playfield. He was selling an NOS one today. Yeah, I know. I know, but this is the whole playfield. Oh yeah, it's got all the mechs and stuff in it. Yeah. Yeah, let's look. It won't let me zoom in. Okay. No, it won't let you zoom in on this one, but it's pretty nice. $700. Yep, plus $441. $441 shipping. All these shipping prices are killer. But... But... But you have a lot of Stern regular bodies. So you can do is pull that playfield out and pop that one in. And there you go. You have another playfield or another game to play. So it's like pinball 2000 all over again. Yes, I can replace my stars with an alley. No, you can't because you have to change. That's right. I'm sorry. It's a quick silver. It's an MP2. Yeah, I'll replace the quick silver playfield with alley. Hey, I like alley. I know you do. That's why. Why do you think I did this? Jeez Louise. Okay. See? Mm-hmm. Would you buy that? For that shipping, no. It's like $1,100. Okay. 192-626-789-980. Hmm. I knew I didn't think about that. Now you're talking. Although it's the same price as the previous one. It is, but... This one, I like how it says in the comments, very important, shipping is not free. Yes. Yeah, it's like another $1,100 for a nine ball playfield. Complete. Complete. Including nowhere in the middle. Yeah. I mean, it's going to have your humongous mech. It's going to have a plastic rod and ring The only thing that's missing, I hate to say, is the drop target assembly. In the meantime, thanks for watching, and I'll see you next time. Bruce would buy it, or a lot of these. Yeah, I would. I just, the shipping, I'm choking on that shipping price. Oh, oh. Yeah. We get to talk about our sponsors, which we don't get paid for. Sponsors we don't get paid for? That's right, like Joe Newhart at Pinstar Amusements, who sells everything but Stern. Yes. Your distributor for all non-Stern games. We have Mike Pupo with Flipper Fidelity. Use his products to improve the sound in your pinball machines. And he's also a Stern distributor. And we also have our fellow podcast who... Hello, hello guys. You're all awesome. It's getting harder and harder to mention. There's so many pinball podcasts now. But I will give a prop out to this Flip N Out Pinball podcast. Three years. Congratulations, guys. Congrats. Three years. Three years. Man, that's a long time. Telly smooth headed computer- Pacman 37168-デ ベ elemento- Dev. Current Gar记gnetÉ Cengiz, Flip N Out Pinball or Electric Boogaloo, again, Heads Up Stars, where else are you going to get Heads Up Stars Challenge? Nowhere else. Nowhere. Nowhere. We're going to be streaming it, it's going to be great, it's going to be wonderful, a fun time is had for all, there's precedent, it was awesome last year, it'll be awesome this year, come out to level zero for stop, match play style tournament, give them the rules, what is it, Swiss seating and all that other stuff? Chris Seeding, if we get to 36, it'll be 16 that qualify for the finals. But if it's, you know, we'll try to go to half, even numbers so we don't have wacky playoffs. So it'll easily be, you know, if we have 16, it'll be eight people that go to the finals. And we'll do a three-game finals with a 3-2-1-0 scoring. Come one, come all. Watch Ron Cook. That should be the big selling point. That's not even funny, Bruce. It's fucking hilarious. Yes, watch Ron not cook. Watch Ron fix games probably. Watch Ron attempt to run all the video crap. Watch Ron stress out, as he probably will. Yes, yes, yes, yes. I hope everyone will have a fun time. Again, that's STOMP. And like I said, mystery game may be there, may not. I hope so. Don't know. Is it a solid state or stupid EM? I can't say. I can't even give you that clue. Wow, I gave so many fucking clues to this asshole last week. Thank you. Well, I didn't offer you $100 to guess this game either. Uh, yeah, so guess what? So it should be even more. It should be easier. You should give me one or two, throw me a couple fucking bones here, buddy. Nah. Ugh. So this has been episode 103, Age of Voltron. See what shit I got to put up with? Voltron. It was cool. Like, did so the DeLions come down and form the Voltron thing? Yes, they did. Oh, that was aw- maybe I will watch that then. See, now you have to watch it and be disappointed two minutes in. Where are the Voltron? Where's the Lions? Oh, man. What a fucking tool, what the fuck? Yes. Ah, say goodbye, Bruce. Goodbye, Chuck Webster.
