What the hell, Kerry? Why is it every time that we see your channel, your line up behind you seem to be getting smaller and smaller? I sold one, and my last action hero slash Arnold is getting a little bit of a freshening up, shall we say. Gotta get him ready for Texas Pinball Festival. What's up, everyone, and welcome back to my channel where I talk and do everything pinball. And if that sounds interesting to you, then feel free to hit that subscribe button down below. Before I begin this adventure tale, we need to have a little bit of a preface talk about how this adventure even became to be. It's Saturday, it's cold, it's wet, but even still I need to be looking on my Craigslist to see if there are any bargains or deals for machines that I want in my collection or for good projects. So I'm doing so and I stumble across one particular ad and this was the cover photo for it. As you can see, this is a sorcerer pinball machine that has obviously seen better days and as a joke I send this image to my buddy Jason and I'm like hey here's your good project machine. For all I was expecting in return was a simple lol. That's that's really as far as I thought that that conversation was going to be going. Little did I know that he responds back with tell them we'll come and get it if they have it and want it gone. Driving right now can't look at a computer. This is when I say dude the bottom is falling out the back is caved in i sent this as a joke it's a sorcerer man no it needs a sorcerer in order for it to live again they have a board over the back glass play field has got to be good on it cpr is making a play field for sorcerers right now now you're scaring me because i'm starting to think you're serious it may have a better coin door on it could swap it out with my black knight i sent him the phone number to the ad i was like this is the number for the ad if you want it call him and he responds back with he has two other people looking at it today he also said he has five pins some arcade cabinets that are not even in the picture and he had his appointment set up for 3 p.m at that time so once he listed off everything that he was aware of when it came to possibility of being a really cool barn find that's when i decided to run to the bank go ahead and pull out my money as well because he pulled out some money so i was like all right let's go pull out some money just in case purposes that might be interesting so he came by picked me up and so it begins i'm going on an adventure you're like oh there's wood over the black the plate film like that's cardboard so like it's not that is not even wood oh man i mean maybe there's gonna be something salvageable so yeah i'm just thinking about me some salvageable parts for a black knife You know, Ludville found a nice coin door, at least one that ain't painted in, that could polish, but I ain't care. I don't give a fuck. It's got some stain on it. I can polish it out. I got a feeling we're going to see some rusted up parts. Without a doubt. So we're on a road trip right now. We got Jason. He's driving. I'm the co-pilot. Just sitting here shooting the shit. It's cold outside, but it's not going to stop us from doing a possible barn find with pinball machines. We know for sure there's going to be at least four, five machines total. We only know a couple of the machine titles, but we don't know all of them. So we've gone by the bank and we've got our cash ready to go for any possible deal that might get made today. take one, might take two, might take all of them. It depends on the condition and quality of what we've got going on here. We are aware of a possible Addams Family title, but it's not in climate control. We're talking like an actual barn find. So, Texas Carl Weathers, don't know how long it's been sitting in there, but we're going to find out. 10 to 12 years. 10 to 12 years. God. That's 10 to 12 winters. 10 to 12 summers. These things are not going to look good. If these things look good, I will be amazed. But I do not see this being a gold mine or a great find. I think this is going to be a parts galore. But he's also got arcade machines. And we're going to see what we can find. So luckily it's not too far away from us either. So we're on the prowl. so I'm going to try to give you a little bit of inner dialogue inside my head as we're going through this whole walkabout process now I'm already thinking that damn it's cold and damn it's wet and damn it's muddy and holy crap these machines look horrible They got more than one just play choice I see. LCD monger, I guess we'll... Yeah, because the LCD is obviously going to make or break that machine. now through this video i'm going to keep calling this sorcerer a fire because the cabinet artwork is very similar but different but for some reason i keep calling it a fire so bear with me on that you want to try lifting that up oh oh my god Oh man. Yeah, look at that. Upper playfield is completely... Oh my god, I've seen some wear in my days. It looked like someone took a belt sander to the top section of this pin bod. Did not look good. Yeah, that's not bad. I mean, that's my seatbelt. It's not as bad as that. Will this thing even hold upright? We were talking about nests? Nests? Oh my goodness. Do you see any boards in there? Let me see if I can... Now on the car ride on the way over to this place, we were discussing how more than likely there was going to be rat's nests and chewed up wires, and we were joking about that's what we're going to find. and lo and behold, it's exactly what we find. Yeah, actually I do. You got the MPU, batteries look toasted, but it doesn't look like there's any running down the board. Good. Uh, two, oh God. Uh but yeah dude Mirren we joked about nests Yeah We joked about it and that what it looks like you got going with the power supply and everything all I don't know, that looks like it's cut. Hmm. Hmm. But yeah, there's all kinds of rat turds and all that kind of stuff like that. And like I said, the back of that fire is all caved in and I'm seeing cut wires on that too. I don't know if it's something. Home location 1993. Yeah, this search was a shock. Can you see the play field at all? I mean the only thing I'm seeing that's going to be working on the pen bod is the boards and that depends on what the inside of the cabinet looks like if there's no more chewed wires up underneath it and stuff like that but definitely gonna need to rewire the backbox I don't know we got any wires and boards and that fire do you know you able to get that after ball this game is the thing is even with a good going hyper ball game I just if I I don't like it. It's just not a game to where I'm like, yeah. Yeah. My God, I'm seeing these machines lying on the ground. You're killing me, man. You're killing me. I don't know what happened to him. Now, right here, Jason spots something that we were talking about on the way here and something that he is really excited about, and that's the fact that he just found a Williams coin door in very good shape. Now, that's not going to come into play until later on down the road, but that's what he's eyeballing right now. It really wasn't my decision. So where was this originally, Kev? You said, I think he was... This was in a laundromat in Rockwell for I don't know how many years. Now, upon first looking at this Addams Family, I am immediately impressed at the cabinet. I was expecting this thing to be looking a little bit closer to what the machines looked like underneath that tent. So to see that this cabinet doesn't have any swelling to it was a shock. It took quite a while. And then the owner of the laundromat told us. And actually, I just checked this out. Somebody clipped the wires. Oh, yeah. I don't know if that happened in the laundromat or what. Ugh. That's what happened. Yeah. Seeing all the wires to this coin door being cut like that, I started getting a little nervous. Because why would you do that? Fuck it, we're gonna have it on free play, just pull this shit outta here! So, he's got the key for the backbox, so that's a plus. Last on location, 2006. six we got a tree in here chock full of leaves also not a good sign Okay. The thing was under that. Originally it was in that. Wow. Oh, man. Yeah. I haven't even opened this thing up. Make sure nothing's going to jump up at me. One, two, three. it's got all the boards not bueno fucking rats I'm going to have to wire it chewed out. Two or three, about five or six wires I think. Crap. I'm going to have to do it here. That doesn't look too bad right there. Still got the topper on it. ribbon cable it's so sad now the big question is how far do those rats go down that they get up underneath the play field and everything not a giant fucking hardened turd ok let's see if we can get this back in here with one hand Let's see if we can get this plate filled with the... the power cord didn't get bit off that's something surprisingly enough the cabinets not in that bad of shape when he was telling me about what you had and everything and the conditions and stuff like that it was in I was like oh man because I know this stuff does not do well in humidity there's a flasher topper the coin door inner lock has been cut you able to get it down there or what man let me lift it up again and we can scoop it out I got it go ahead you got the gloves on I might be able to get that car on order should be good there we go Alright man, let's get this glass off, take a look at it. You get all the leaves off, you're increasing the value of it. I don't know. That's the echo. He's getting down in there. It's all a bad thing. the missing one for this one's underneath and I've already saw that now the just a light bulb just the dome over there this duck right here just turned it comes off and still in there mm I got some tape covering up some of the broken mm-hmm Flipper okay there it goes I was like this flippers locked up Are you guys collectors you have a business I collect we just collect I've got to eat I got him into this shit, and he lost his money It's better than what I was expecting. It's pretty raised up right there. It's definitely got a bow to it, I think. What? That's going to be a ball interrupter if I've ever seen one. Somebody run a screw from the back side and get it into the top side of the field. I never noticed that I'll lift it up and see what we got going on up underneath Do you want me to move some of that stuff? No we should be fine Go slow We have something jumping out at us Now what screw did someone do wrapped around this yeah that one right there you see any more wires cut or chewed up that goes to the backbox somewhere more likely there's part of the coin mix there's that red one I was telling you that's one thing I forgot to bring with flashlight doesn't sound like it and the knockers not plugged up here's right here that used to be the rocker Chewed from somewhere. Damn, boy. There's been some rats in here, though. Crap. Man, what are you looking to get out of her? I'm going to cut any kind of footage out where we discuss numbers on how much we are going to either buy or bargain to sell. No sales figures are going to be divulged in this video, and that is strictly for the protection of Jason. honestly I was like I didn't know what all you were gonna look at but I was actually planning to do some work on this and then sell it for a little bit more all right I mean I don't what are you guys what is it you're gonna need some work on it that's for damn sure yeah I mean that's like that's just like cosmetic stuff I mean like we're talking like actual functionality this ramps are pretty much unobtainium right here these ramps themselves are gonna be in the hundreds just the plastic ramps flipper mechs probably gonna need to be all rebuilt one two you got four of them depending on if this even works of the motor isn't locked up and all rusted as far as I know the last time I saw this thing running that works okay it's still rattles around like it there's something lock vault well I mean there's a lot of wear on the play field there's parts the play field it look really good but like you know your pop out there's a lot of wear around that I mean that's major damage it's not enough that even a clip he's gonna cover that so if I was going to buy it I would immediately be looking at putting in a brand new play field for yeah especially with this crew I know I know what it's worth when it's in condition. DMD might be shot, too. I can already see what looks to be burning right there. Honestly, I know where my dad bought most of this stuff, and I could go and get parts for it and get it replaced. I know CPR, Classic Plate Field Reproduction in Canada, is making an Adams family right now, and you can get an Adams family plate field from Mirco if you want to put a plate field in this. Mercco is $999, CPR is like $799. Right. And it's going to take you 40 hours to change, at least 40 hours to change up. Me and him just got done with my Centaur. It's a 1981 solid state. Both of us working on it took us over 30 hours to do that Joshua Clay-filled swap. Yeah. But it has a hidden shooter lane underneath, so it's a little more complex. But Adam's family has so much stuff underneath it, it takes forever to swap an Adam's family. Like I said, I'm not trying to knock the game. It's a great game. It's a great title. There's a lot to it. I think to go from where you're at to rewiring to get it going. Yeah, your board's looking pretty decent shape. Then we're going to have to rewire and rerun a lot of stuff. Bust out the schematics on that. Cabinet's in decent shape. It's better than what I was expecting. I was expecting to see this thing swelled up like Arnold Schwarzenegger with the moisture and everything, but it actually looks decent. It hasn't been out that long. It's been, like I said, in the laundromat. Yeah. So luckily you got that going for you that the cabinet's in pretty decent shape. That's what's really helping out, even the interest in it. Yeah. I mean, good luck with it, man. I'd like to see it run again. At that point, we're pretty much done discussing the Addams family. So then he lets us know that he has more machines underneath the tent in the other direction. I immediately have no interest in any of these machines underneath these tarps. I just don't see there being a game where I'm like, oh, this is what I've been searching for my entire time on this earth. is this particular machine that has had no climate control in the past decade. Thank you. But wait, there's more. Man, like some of the... I couldn't see all of them. Altered beasts? There's a You have to be careful Like wow My dad just oh If you got one be great, man, that's why I forgot to bring it the house good old Harbor Freight right here Let me go This is where we really get to see the hoarder side of this individuals family So it is pretty much like what you see on TV Oh, it... Oh! Oh! Oh, I'm right there with him and my mom. It the same deal with my mom I was like she didn throw anything away And the funny thing about it was whenever we were cleaning out their parents house they had Tupperware containers and butter containers from like 10 years. And my parents were making fun of it. They were like, this will never happen. So your dad just owned a laundromat? No, he owned the arcade business. and he had a bunch of he he was friends with the guy who had a laundromat in rockville and like had a jukebox and like several arcade games of ours in the 90s for like i don't know 700 years That was probably the most profitable location because it was right there close to the ranch. And it was 24 hours. That cabal, I used to love playing that. There's that Star Wars game right there. You see that old altered beast down there? Oh yeah. Everything's pretty decent. Just a little bit of a complete mess. Yeah, I think it probably is. if it's been in here the entire time so what we got we got raston cabal altered beast and what else there's escape what's that escape game what they call really yeah that's why I was like really because of it because that the actual name never heard the placard on the front is pretty sweet looking actually oh man how would even get these out of here I'm gonna have to clean out this whole barn dude it sucks to be you man I thought my mom was bad you win you win I'm mainly so happy that there was nothing inside of that building that I wanted because I don't really know how we would have gotten the stuff out of there. I mean, everything was stacked high. I don't even know where the exit... It's a fire hazard like no one's business. There was no way out of that building except for the way that we came in. At least that's what I think. Everything else was just stacked up so damn high. I had to keep the camera pointed down and the light pointed down in order for me to see where I was going. What do you get for 50 bucks Jason? That ain't a mess man. You got 50 bucks worth of rat shit. Oh shit. Alright, let me get it on. So what Jason ended up taking home was this cabinet that was not even essentially a cabinet. It was a couple of cabinet walls and the coin door that he was wanting for his Black Knight. So we got that cabinet, and he got the sorcerer cabinet for spare parts, and we got that Addams Family. Now, like I said, I can't discuss exact numbers, but what I will say is that he wanted this much, and we offered this much down here where you can't even see on the screen. And he took it, so. Beautiful, man. I'm going to get some footage of that raven over there again. I don't think I got any. I forgot to get original footage of when we first saw these machines. I didn't even think it was really worth getting more footage of what it looked like on the inside. Seriously, even the Raven had no back glass. The boards were falling apart and collapsed. It was not good. Those machines were... No. I think I would have spent more time and would have been more interested and would have gotten more of these items that this guy had. if the Carl Weathers would have been better but since it was already cold and wet and we had to drag all this stuff through the mud on a dolly it made it very unfun not to mention we had to help the guy that already had his truck backed in to pick up items we had to get his shit loaded into his truck because he didn't know how to do it through the mud to get him out of the way so we could load our shit onto the trailer What a freaking nightmare Yeah Well dude You got yourself An A-list game It's not perfect It needs a lot of work That play field is It's only I'd rate it about a Seven No not even that much I'd say six Due to the fact It's got a fucking Screw hole Screw going through The fucking top I know. At what point do you tighten a screw enough to where you're like, is it in? Did you notice it had a rotten dog board in it? It's got a rotten dog board in it. Honestly, I didn't catch that. Got a rotten dog in there. Well, you've also got a lot of wire to rerun. So that's interesting. Yeah, I saw that it has all the boards. I noticed that. I counted them all up. It had all the boards. You've got some wires that are going to have to be rerun. so there'd be a lot of schematics galore going through. I saw those leaves, and then I saw the nest. I was like, oh, my God, we were joking about it being a rat's nest, and that's what it fucking is. Turned it up in. But there wasn't any, well, you're going to need to replace the damn playfield on it anyways. I was like, I didn't see any urine stains on the playfield from rats or anything. It had been infested. It hadn't been very long. The paint just leaves, like he said, in the backbox. Like he had it open there for a while, you know. He's like, I noticed that the top of it's cracked up with the plastic. I was like, that ain't nothing. I'm not even focused on the damn topper. I give two shits. I give two shits about that topper being cracked. I'm looking at the screw hole in the middle of the damn pipe field. battery died on my phone. Yeah. I told her I would call her whenever we were on our way back and then my phone battery died. And that was my adventure for the day. So now Jason and me have another project in the lineup to get going and making it look so sexy. So we know we're already going to have to at least pump two to twenty five hundred bucks into this Addis family to get it looking damn good. That's not including any other kind of mods that we add to it later on, but we're talking like color DMD, new gold playfield from CPR, decals and stuff like that, the ramp, 150, I mean, I've got all the math, but you're looking at about two grand at least getting this machine looking pretty damn good with a little bit of body work on it. Thanks for watching till the end, everyone. That's it for my adventure for this barn find. If you like what you've seen here, give me that thumbs up button down below. And if you haven't already then smash that subscribe button and especially if you want to see that adams family get brought back to life that way you can be notified of whenever i upload new material for your viewing pleasure until next time peace out

product_concern: Environmental storage damage (10-12 years uncontrolled conditions) results in systematic issues: rat nests/wire damage, playfield wear/bow, corrosion, topper cracking, DMD burnout. Cabinet exterior can remain intact while interior systems require full restoration.

high · Addams Family cabinet 'doesn't have any swelling' but internally shows rat nests, chewed wires, screw through playfield, playfield bow, cracked topper, tree leaves in backbox, cut wires
