But at the same time, I feel like there should be more room for the person talking. Oh, that's right. sounds great the mix in general is great the music loud and clear but it doesn't dominate your voice if i finally got to play pinball against george i showed up what true mediocrity looks like which is funny because dice also commented when we played he's like i would have expected you to win more games taylor stop being ocd got it um let's see here him he pretends not to flex Right. Okay, cool. So I'm glad that the mix is good. And on top of that, if you remember, we've incorporated the machine learning algorithm from NVIDIA into this. So on top of that, we have reduced the sounds and noises of the pinball machine, and we have direct control over that at this point. Wouldn't OCD be CDO? Yeah, obviously. They had somebody working on them constantly. And that first day, I was playing pretty well. I had moments where I wish I would have done things differently. but honestly, I was really happy I got into A Division. And everyone was there. Zach McCarthy, Escher, Ray Day, Keith Elwin, and like a dozen other people. Jared August, Jordan DeShane, all the people from like the whole top 50. Laser Los was there. There was the most amazing of amazing talent. Tim Sexton was all there. and I made it into A and I felt so good that I went out and partied that night dice and on top of that the worst case of of an inability to actually go back to sleep hit so not only did I get fairly intoxicated and continued for some reason but also slept horribly woke up the next morning and I don't know if you know this but District 82 likes their tournaments to start at 8am why? what? I get it these are the best of the best but this isn't hey Game Club Central Marty thank you be a billionaire if you're wasting your money someone else play pinball mic drop right there marty you're fantastic mpt3k rating with 23 beautiful individuals manu who is also just battling on guardians of the galaxy i may have been lurking while i was getting all the new equipment set up. Was this the first night of the casino? I think that was the second night of the casino because Thursday night was the first night where I had a really great night and I had a very fun jackpot. Uh, and, uh, and then the second night I did not have such a great night, but Jay-Z had a great night. And it was funny because Jay-Z was like, I'm so tired. I don't know but the second she hit a jackpot 130 a.m why are we going home george i'm like because i have to be back at district 82 at 8 a.m this morning this morning like literally six and a half hours from now so made it back to district 82 no amount of coffee could could get me there and it was it was um i'm just happy i feel like i i really hope i put off very positive vibes despite the fact that I'm talking like basic trapping skills didn't work. It was a loss of coordination at a level I've never personally experienced. So day one was fantastic. Day two was actually really fun. Despite that, I got to play a ton of new games. And it was so great too, because I don't know how to play any of these games. So in between every round, Escher would come over and he'd be like, all right, George, what game do you want? This is what you need to do on this game. Focus on this. screw everything else and I would just nod and be like yes okay that's what I'm gonna do but he's describing the games like I've actually seen the playfields and know where the shots are so if you've ever been in a situation where someone is trying to explain something like let's talk about compound interest but you have to know what interest is in the first place and money and like how math works but if you know none of those things and someone tries to explain it that's kind of the situation so I'm like okay do the thing memorize the stuff hit the shot and collect your bling totally makes sense i'd get over there and fail it wonderfully uh i'm not at all interested in meth i lose all my whale plumber like superpowers i don't think you're capable of negative vibes yeah so i i really hope i continued putting off really positive vibes despite the fact i was just like i don't even care i made it into the into the into the a group i feel i i i already I already succeeded, but I had, uh, Escher on one hand, um, Carrie Wing was fantastic and also was helping me out all day. And then, uh, Rachel from, uh, um, oh my God, the podcast, uh, the Poor Men's Pinball Podcast with, with Rachel. Rachel is just like a box of sunshine. And she not only made cookies for everyone, but she's like, George, let me know when you get to a machine, and if nobody else is telling you how to play it, I will walk you through it, start to finish, in like less than 60 seconds. So if you are ever in a situation where you're like, I don't know that I want to check out competitive pinball, realize that everything I just explained, honestly, I feel like had nothing to do with me and everything to do with the community. That's how it was the entire time. There's obviously exceptions where people are not interested in helping out others, but the overwhelming majority of people in the pinball hobby are truly interested in winning based on skill and luck and everything else and not a lack of rules or knowledge. like you could be sitting there in a group with people and the people are asking you like hey it looked a bit like you were flailing there i don't want to judge but do you know how to play this actually i don't know what i'm supposed to be doing all right well here's the strategy i'm using right now you should try that like that that's it dice exactly yeah and but that's the thing is i've experienced that exact same thing in in fort collins at pinball jones and at the flip side and any tournament i have gone to or been a part of even uh at pinberg pinberg was the same thing where you get into a group and i don't know like 80 of the time everyone's like before we get started does anyone not know how to play this game um yeah but with that quantity of games district 82 so many games such a great area and it was really well coordinated too so uh district 82 is one of those cool areas where if you get the opportunity to go i really suggest it um a bit claustrophobic i would say is the only negative there was 150 people in the tournament and there are times where you are doing this and you were being bumped and push uh in order just to make room to get to the pinball machines and uh and and i know that that can be that that can be a struggle um i remember at one point i'm like i i could use a margarita right about now. Which is perfect, by the way, because Jay-Z dropped off a Starbucks coffee, a Mountain Dew, and a six-pack of, uh, high noon uh, these high noon vodka and sodas and margaritas. Uh, that's called a love sarcophagus. Yes. Shout out to Eric. Uh, Eric, I'm assuming you're talking about Eric Wurtenberger or Dice. Which Eric are you referring to there? Eric with a K, the only one I can think of. Oh, wait. Eric is the guy who actually ran District 82. Was it Eric Thorin? Eric the Red? Yeah, the owner of District 82. Eric was amazing. Came over and said, I need a picture with George. And he's just another really happy, awesome person. Uh, yeah, I don't think I ran into one, uh, one person. I feel like if there was, if there was a, a dark cloud at District 82, I, I could, I, I was probably the only dark cloud there, and I really don't, I don't think I was, despite how frustrated I was with not being able to, like, flip a flipper. Um, but, uh, but yeah, it was, it was so cool. Very cool experience. So Anyway, if you were curious about District 82, that's how it was. It was a really good time. Great pinball. The location is fantastic. It is definitely BYOB. Right next to it is a gas station with a quick mart. If you've never been to a quick mart before, it is a grocery store and a gas station. They have everything. Very surreal experience at a quick mart. also there's a Starbucks right across the street so if you want coffee it's right there and I'd say actually two negatives the other negative is that they start that they start at 8am like Bucky's yeah surreal it is it's nowhere near as big as but like the quickmarts are all over the place but it actually has like a massive amount of donuts all the I feel like fun little foods that you could shake a stick at and then full on groceries like I could I could, it was like walking into, um, like just a very small grocery store. I, on the other hand, ordered the meat and breakfast, sorry, the meat and eggs plate. It was like four different types of meat, some scrambled eggs, and I was just happy. If you do a standard post transfer, it does that. And then it can oftentimes roll over to the other side, which works. It just... It doesn't feel anywhere near as consistent. But if you do a slow post transfer on a rush, it'll jump to the other side. It's just not, it bothers me to spit, like, that the same price of a Godzilla Pro is the same price as, as Bond Pro. Bond Pro is a great game, but it's not, it doesn't have all the coolness that Godzilla has, even at the pro level. Uh, not new, but when the next Cornerstone gets announced and people start dumping Bonds, I'll get one secondhand. Dice, that actually sounds like a really good idea. It almost doesn't feel like a multi-level game. That's a weird way to point out or talk about a game which is very obviously not a single level game, but it doesn't, I don't know. That's my big issue with Bond. And yeah, I think I would jump on what Dice was getting at, which is just wait for them to drop in price. But the code, if the code hits it and it hits hard, it may not. Stugatz Ramp. Tracy, I don't get that. Left orbit shot I love. Rest is fine. The shot that's in between the two right ramps. That one, my problem, it can be a fantastic shot. My problem with it is that it doesn't, despite how hard I hit it, it doesn't always make it on the pros that I've played. Do you guys want to hear what it would be like if I had no sound suppression? let's do that so i'm gonna go here and go to filters all right this is at zero suppression intensity is what it's called are there actually three rush tables or are they just different artwork sprinkle britches there are the way that stern does it excuse me uh is they do three different versions but of the three different versions Stern does two different tables, which is the premium LE is one table and the pro is another. And there's usually a pretty significant difference between the premium LE and the pro or a couple of differences. And in this case, this is the LE. So I'll walk through what those differences are. But in the meantime, would you like to hear what the flippers sound like without any suppression? This would be like what it was like a month ago before I enabled the NVIDIA stuff. so you should be hearing it uh i this is a condenser microphone and the way the condenser microphone's uh profile is it shouldn't be it's it's the way it should be grabbing sound from just this side with a little bit on the back side so you're you're you're getting some of the noise removal just because of the style of the microphone. So now I'm going to put it back to 70%. Crap, it's at 71%. Here we go. There you go. That's at 71% background suppression. It's so freaking cool. Yeah, sprinkle britches. It is a huge difference if you're talking about the sound. Now, on the pinball table, right here are three drop targets. On the pro, there's a target behind. On the premium and LE, when those drop targets go down, there's a shot behind there. And then two metal prongs that come up through the play field and turn that shot into a captive ball. so the ball actually gets stuck back there for one of the multi balls and i can show that at some point also uh there is a bass drum right here that has a moving arm on it that the pro that's just a piece of plastic uh on the premium and le there is a ramp in fact you can see it on so there's a camera right here and if you if you look there's a time machine with three physical lights on it and a ramp that moves up and down to allow you access to that time machine uh and what else there's something there's one other major difference i think like i'm not i'm not remembering right now maybe that's it so those those are the three big differences and somebody else helped me out was Was there anything else, or was that it? I think that's it. I think there was three differences. A good way to explain a cadetzer mic is what a musician has facing towards the audience so that they can still get some of us in their ear monitors. Okay. The buck ramp. Oh, right, yes. On the pro... there it is this is gonna kick it up and send it back on the pro it doesn't do that on the pro it's just a dead end and it bounces back out but this is a buck which means it's a vertical up kick uh like a little saucer it goes into and then it has a valve or a plunger kind of like a reverse plunger that when it's magnetized, it shoots the ball up into its own little return ramp safely to the right ramp. It's a huge improvement, I think, on the Premium LE versus the Pro. So there's actually four major differences between just this one game. And you can't see it, but I have Turtles over to my left and the Mandalorian, and both of those are Premiums, once again, have pretty significant differences between the pro the premium and the pro and the premium le the le and the premium the biggest differences are artwork uh stern le's have a translate instead of a back glass i'm sorry have a back glass instead of a translate and um it's signed uh there's usually some things here and there like the le on rush um has the expression lighting kit already in it. You didn't have to buy it separate, and they haven't even made the expression lighting kits for any of the rushes available yet. So we got it way early, and yeah, those are the big differences. I would say the Mandalorian Premium LE is one of the biggest differences, playing-wise, between the Pro, and I would absolutely recommend the Mandalorian Premium LE over the Pro, if you're ever interested major differences between the three models are also price yes yes the uh pro right now is usually going for like 6800 the premium now around 9000 and the le's i want to say between 11 and 12 but those prices honestly could be way off let's try it again can't find the shots there we go so the ramp is up and you can see it there on once again nope that screen and what are we in right now we are in oh tom sawyer so we got to hit the right orbit and the left orbit. Totally got there. It's a great start. Great start. Love this. We've got a multiball ready. I do need I think at least one of these. So now what I have left on the play field is another Tom Sawyer shot here. I've got an orange shot on the right ramp and a pink shot. So what happens when I hit Tom Sawyer on the left orbit? Totally got it. Did not work. So now I'm going to try what happens when I hit orange on the right ramp. Maybe. I don't know if I can actually hit that shot. Let's see what happens if we hit anything. Come on. There we go. I don't know what shot we just hit, but it was enough to actually change it to big money. Now we have pink, we have whatever that shot is over there, and a blue lit. So we have three different records hit. I'm going to cancel out of this instant info. And what's nice is we only needed one record to qualify our mode. But because we had two additional records, we actually have a shot value increase of 20%, meaning that all mode shots in this mode, their value will be increased by 20%. Now what's great is that because I have the big money lit right now, if I can hit other pink shots, uh, I will increase that value even, even better. I think is what happens more better, but I'm not gonna, instead, I'm just going to start the mode and take my 20% bonus. There's a pink shot. That was mean game. So now I fell out of the mode, and I need to hit a shot in order to get back into a mode, but here's the thing, is that I just hit a light blue shot. I didn't hit a pink shot. So what did that do? That moved me over to Tom Sawyer because Tom Sawyer is light blue. so can I hit another light blue shot and continue increasing at a much higher rate my Tom Sawyer mode bonus or do I hit green and potentially light limelight I didn't Tom Sawyer is still lit but I did create another green light here on the left orbit so I'm going to try that I don't know what's going to happen we'll see got it hey and we switched it now we have two greens and I'm at 20% shot value. Uh, and I don't see any other greens on the inner orbit, kind of. Man. Let's hit the horseshoe. Let's try that again. I'm going to hit the horseshoe and then try and hit the inner orbit. Or not. What about lights that are flashing multiple colors, like at the buck? Okay, cool. So in that situation, if it's flashing multiple colors, I think it counts. Like you hit a shot, but it's good for any color. It's like a wild card. I really want to hit that inner orbit now. There it goes. So now we hit three shots all green. And we're at a 30% shot value, and I think all of those three shots that I just hit that are green now get multiplied. Okay. Okay. Got it. Got it, but it didn't count because that's an issue. and left orbit to that shot okay good now we've completed the first round of limelight we need to collect our jackpot in the middle and now we get to do it all over again that's great yeah that was awful but anyway uh what are your favorite quips from the game alex's little one-offs are a trip sprinkle britches i'm gonna i'm gonna be very truthful with you in that i really don't care too much about rush i don't know that i've actually listened to any to any of those uh from the game. I do like, I don't dislike Rush music, so I prefer Rush to something like Iron Maiden, despite the fact that I like both games. Actually, I probably like both games about equally at this point. But I really haven't gotten into like listening to the game and the callouts in it. um but everyone it is 11 30 and i am still struggling to get back uh into the things after taking some time off and all the travel so i'm gonna call it let's go find someone to raid this evening uh and uh we'll be back on thursday this week fair enough i'd seen them oh my gosh Sprinkle britches.
