Stop for just one minute. For just one minute. That's all I ask. This guy, he just talks all the time. It's crazy. Hey guys, I'm back here at Castles and Coasters, and you're probably wondering why am I in front of the Zoltar Speaks machine. Well, when we came out here to film for Chasing Nostalgia, I meant to cover this because the movie Big made this a big part of my childhood, right? It was so mysterious. It was this box, and you gave it money, and then it would give you a fortune back. It was really cool, and, you know, to have an animatronic character in a box like this at an amusement park or an arcade was pretty cool. If you were to buy one of these today, it'd probably go, I mean, maybe you could find one on the used market. He's talking, he never shuts up. Zoltar, I'm trying to record a video. If you wanted to buy one of these today, new, it'd be like nine, ten grand. I don't know what you could get them for used. Now, why this is so interesting right now is that New Wave Toys decided to do an animatronic replica of this that you can bring and have on a bookshelf or something in your house. But the fact that New Wave Toys is kind of bringing this childhood, nostalgic element back to the home is pretty neat. I'll run a clip real quick of what this thing looks like because I was surprised at the attention to detail. It moves, it gives you the tickets, it has like 55 different messages. So let's check that out real quick, and then I'll come back for some final thoughts. Zoltar the Gypsy at your service. Ah, today is your lucky day, my friend, for I have a fortune especially for you. Listen closely. Sometimes you can tell a wise person not only by what he says, but also by what he doesn't say. Remember, it is much better to say little than to say too much and regret it later. Give Zoltar your treasure. I have much wisdom to share with you. That's pretty cool, right? I mean, literally they replicated this in a small scale. New Wave Toys does some pretty cool things. They got a bunch of other products You know they are playable New Wave Toys has all these other arcade replicas which are really neat They playable and everything but the fact that they building this is just really cool So I thought it be fun to take a quick look inside What you've got is you've got sort of this feeder mechanism that feeds the ticket, and then there's like a whole bunch of tickets in there. You also have a bill acceptor, a speaker for when he's speaking, and you can adjust things like how loud he's talking and how dramatic the draw will move up and down. There looks like you might be able to even customize the message a little bit. I don't know, I haven't really played with it that much, but it's pretty cool. There's not a whole lot to it, but it's still pretty interesting that they fit a whole animatronic in this small cabinet. So let's give Zoltar a try and see what fortune he has for us today. It's a matter of mind. If you don't mind, then my friend, it doesn't matter. So go on, be carefree like a little baby. But first, give Zoltar a little money and I will give you a fortune. So I got my fortune, and basically, I'll kind of summarize it. It says, you have not been wise with your money lately. So I guess he knows about all the arcade machines I've been buying. He says, it's important to reward yourself for your hard work, but you must learn to save your riches, because it'll pay off in the future. This is very true. Very wise of Zoltar. So anyways, you can keep doing it as many times as you want, and you'll get a bunch of these fortunes. They're really cool, because it gives you something to take home, And believe it or not, that New Wave Toys one is going to give fortunes out as well. Pretty cool stuff. So anyways, I just thought because of the news of the New Wave Toys, it'd be cool to actually see a real one in person and play with it for a bit. If you have any questions, let me know in the comments below. Thanks for watching, and we will see you on the next one.
