Warning, the following episode contains adult language and screaming goats. Listener discretion is advised. Hey Dennis, guess what time it is? Is it Pinball Market Trends time? Pinball Show Episode 176! I don't even know if we're going to have a Pinball Market Trends. That's not. It's time to record another lovely episode of the Pinball Show. That's exciting. Oh, man, I don't know what you've been up to, but I'm going to start off by telling these listeners. I haven't even told you yet. You know how much I love my hot tub. I just love it so. Yeah, it's basically a time machine. Yeah, like an old hillbilly that sits out naked in his hot tub with a flask and moonshine. But it was on the fritz this last week. Do people still use that term, the fritz? I guess. this is on indiana they do nicole was like hey sweet she didn't even call me sweetie she said hey zach so the story already sounds fake i was trying to like church her up a little bit hey darling a hot tub is on the fritz again i'll get you a nice cold glass of lemonade if you could take a look with all your manly repair skills uh she said hey your hot tub's like shitting out and I keep adding water to it, and there's a leak or something. But I want to impress my wife. As I grow older, I really want to be that man, you know, just get my tools out. And for all you listeners laughing, fuck off, that's rude. But so I got my tools, and I went and took the panel off the hot tub, and I found the leak, Dennis. It was a rubber ring in one of the hoses, one of the inlet hoses or outlet hoses. But it was kind of like a flat rimmed – it went between two hoses that connected. So it needed to have a good seal there. Yeah, yeah. Oh, ring gasket or something. And I found the issue once it like broke off and started just getting me soaked. It was a rubber ring had broke. Okay. So do you have like kits of gaskets available? No, absolutely not. Because I actually do have a few because I used to have to do sink repairs a lot. Yeah. So I well, my first thought was like, I'll I'll use some threading tape and try to hold this gasket. No, that wasn't going to work. Well, that was quaint of you. Yeah, that was not going to work. I need something a little bit heftier. So at the end of the day, we're going to have to get the hot tub people out here just or go get a gasket and hell I'll replace. It's just a little whatever the diameter is, three inch or something. But I went to my handy dandy tool area and there I have a lot of pinball parts. and I'm like you know what could stop the bleeding of this hose leak and I found my bin of brand new silicone bands they're like the titan competition silicone oh no and I thought you know what what what color did you go with translucent I did a translucent and I thought ah you know for shits and giggles I just I'll put it in there and I found the right thing was a three inch diameter And it fit perfectly in there, and I'm like, yeah, but there's no way this is going to work. I shit you not, Dennis. It worked. And it still has worked. I don't know how. I guess it was certainly more durable and beefier than a little rubber O-ring. So I felt so proud and manly. I was like, Nicole, as I wiped the sweat from my brow, I said, it's fixed, babe. now go get that bikini on and let's let's jump in the hot tub it's like it's 90 degrees you idiot i'm going inside get your own lemonade but can you believe i fixed my hot tub using a common pinball part tight might now be listing that as an alternative use on their website right yeah the hot tub the hoosier hot tub fix have you been doing anything in pinball uh yeah actually a person i used to work with had an old non-working black hole. Oh, I actually like that game. Yeah, I played it a lot virtually. I don't have a lot of time on it in person. How funny is that? Famous John Burris design, though. Everybody has played that virtually. It's like one of the most virtually played games ever. It was one of the earliest pinball arcade games there was. What a beautiful game that is. Yeah, my dad had been wanting a new pinball project, so she contacted me out of the blue, and she's like, hey, because I'd offered to buy it from her before, but she wanted to get more money out of it. And I was like, well, you know, you sell it to, I gave her some names who she could contact, but yep, she just contacted me out of the blue. And she's like, Dennis, I still have this game. I need the cash. I wish I'd taken your offer you'd given me a few years ago. I said, I'll check if you still, you'd be interested in it. And I was like, at the price, I figured. And I said, sure. So we went out there Friday. She lives about an hour away from where I am. And we picked it up. And I never had moved a Gottlieb wide body, but there were stairs. And, you know, I haven't invested in the patented Escalera, Zach. So it was – How many people did you have? Like five? It was just me and my dad. Oh. She didn't help. She said she couldn't. I was like, no, we can move it. It's just two of us. You know, because I'm just like, you know, I want to be a person. I'm like, I'm flexing in my T-shirt and stuff. I've done this hundreds of times. Using my quads to – I'm pushing the dolly. I brought my dolly, and he's pulling, and we do two steps. There were 13 stairs. I know because we counted them. There were 13 stairs. Lucky 13. As we went up. They were straight. They were straight up. Did you take your shirt off at any point? No. Oh, man. That would have been awesome. I didn't want to get sweat all over. I didn't want to get sweat all over the place with my exhortations. to get that little machine up. Did you flex your pecs to make them bounce? I think I had to use the pecs in part to help get the game up those stairs. I had to use just about everything. Calves, sulliuses. Is it the worst being on top or the bottom in that situation? Because the bottom has to have a lot of force to push up, but the top is bending over. It's a bad situation, especially a black hole. So did you at least take the head off? Oh, yeah. Yeah, took the head off, carried that up separately. The head wasn't an issue when it was separated. But, yeah, we would have never gotten through any of the doorways with the head on. So, yeah, no, I don't know. I think the person pulling probably had a harder time of it. But I just had to – because I was mostly just bracing. Though we did have to take – again, every two steps we took a break. So, yes, as usual, getting the machine took longer than I had anticipated. Even with all the paths were cleared out and everything, She had made all these paths to make sure we could get through the house. And, yeah, getting it out and into my garage because he likes to work on them here because I have the space in the garage to do it. That went all real smooth and stuff, but there are no stairs. I've got my whole setup configured for convenience. Perfect. Anyway, so that went on. We might work on that after we're done recording. I don't know. Well, that'll be fun. He will decide depending on how his back feels because he'll still possibly be in recovery mode from yanking on that dolly to get it up those stairs while I was on the bottom. What do you think he'll do once it's done? From crashing down. He's always – I don't know what he'll want to do with it. He gave – everyone he's ever picked up as a project, he's given away. What? To someone. Yep. Man. Well, if it's too nice, don't be giving it away. It says the guy who's gotten me a pinball machine like the last three Christmases. Still. Yeah. Make sure that thing's not too minty now. It looks pretty good, I got to say. I need to check out the shooter lane still, but the art on the play field looked really good. The cabinet sides looked good. I didn't hear exactly when she had picked it up, she and her ex-husband, but I think maybe early 2000s. Yeah. Yeah, I think she got the pinball machine in the divorce. And you can keep that whore. Her original plan was to try and find someone to come and fix it, so I gave her some names of repair individuals I knew. I was like, I don't know what's wrong with it, because she'd try and get me to come out there. I'm like, I don't know what's wrong with it. I don't want to, you know. All the repair people were like a godly black hole. Yeah, I'm good. In a basement. If you go to IPDB, you'll see in the notes on Black Hole, it will say, Black Hole was considered a high-maintenance game when released and wasn't popular with operators as a result. Oh, God. I mean, it's not. You get grounding fixes. Man, devs' things are the worst. That's a great project for you guys. Yeah, he's been researching all the modifications to make to it. And, I mean, the GI lights come on when we plugged it in and turned it on, but I know that disc in the back ain't spinning, which I don't know. I've never seen one where it was. But, yeah, I mean, maybe the fuse, the motor, maybe the motor itself. Yeah, just the fuse. I mean, we still need to check to see if the fuses are right because, you know, so many people use the wrong one. And sometimes the manuals are wrong. I think he's noted – I think he told me he has a modified write-up of the manual for me to have because he's been making notes in one because he knows that a lot of the labeling was wrong. Well, so was she like, gentlemen, would you like an ice cold sweet tea? to cool you down. She did. She was water. She's like, would you like a cold water? Does she have a southern fan? She gave us cold water. We are propping this game up on the stairwell. She gave us water and we drank water. I've got my leg gouged in under. My dad's at the top. He's sitting on top of the pinball machine to provide counterweight. I love with two of her fingers she lifted your chin and tilted it back and she flowed water down your throat. This is a very interesting, she's retired, so this is a very interesting visual image that you've caught. Was she in a checkered flannel shirt that was tied at the midriff? That was the image I had when you were describing Nicole. That's right. The first part I thought, she's got to have the checkered shirt. And the daisy dupes. Oh, yes. It got tied right above the belly button. Y'all don't mind me wearing these cowboy boots as I watch you guys up these stairs. It's just gotten so hot in here, my air conditioner's broke. All right. All the listeners are now annoyed at our Dukes of Hazzard fanfic we're doing here or something. Man, I need to lay. Jeez. Okay. So you got a black. Oh, perfect. Can you come help with my black hole? it's been so long on account of that whore all right oh my god can we let's talk about it's an off week with news guys what do you want you don't you don't say that's right oh here's the cool thing we haven't done this for a while i'm going to give a really comprehensive in-depth looked at Stern Pinball's production updates, as well as some games that are leaving, their inventory of games currently, accessories, etc. So buckle up, everybody. I think you're going to like this. This past week, as we often talk about over at Stern Pinball, they have been making and shipping King Kong premiums for the locations. Now, oddly enough, this goes against what they've done in the past that I've ever seen. Typically, Dennis, they'll ship those location pros out first on the new Cornerstone. And then it's followed by premiums in general. This time, we've seen from the factory location premiums ship before the location pros. Why? I don't know. I don't know if it's a parts thing or if it's like a strategy thing. I don't. Well, the parts thing makes a lot of sense because they are leading with the LEs now. Yeah. So I don't know if it was an incentive. I don't know what, maybe it's, I don't know. I don't know. Testing them. I bet the tariffs got in the way of getting those flat plastic gongs. The gongs. Gonggate. But don't worry, not to fear. This week they're producing the location Kong Pros. And then they'll ship towards the end of the week. Because I was worried. Because I still need to play this. Yeah, I'm interested in you getting your hands on one. The rest of May will then just be the rest of the orders of King Kong Pro and premiums. Those things are still selling very well. And then in June, I think we mentioned this last episode, but James Bond, a lot of stuff in June, a lot of catalog games here. James Bond Pro and premiums, Jurassic Park Pro, Metallica Remastered premiums, and Jaws premium. We'll talk more about that Jaws later. So that's in June. Pretty full slate there in June. July, all I'm seeing is Jurassic Park Premium and Godzilla Premium, but they're notating those earlier in the month. So you've got some stuff, some space there maybe in July to create something else not announced. Why do they not need to produce Kongs past May? Because they are producing a ton of them, and they anticipate it being a continued bestseller. so they're just they're filling up the entirety of this month with nothing but that title so they're making a time so it wouldn't surprise me if as many kongs that as they are making here in may that those will roll those will be enough probably until later this summer i would guess but we'll see august dungeons and dragons pro and premium so we've got that in august and then in q4 notably the Stranger Things Premium, and the Uncanny X-Men Pro. There are some titles, listener, that are TBD'd right now. So they haven't determined when they're going to make them or if they'll make them at all in the near future. But it's Godzilla Pro, John Wick Pro and Premium, Venom Pro and Premium, the Uncanny X-Men Premium, and Stranger Things Pro. So all of those titles we do not have any updates for right now. And then what I want to do now is I want to remind people that it may be time to... I'm not allowed to sing this. Time to Say Goodbye. Do you like that? I love that song. Time to Say Goodbye. I don't know what you were singing, Sam. It's like an operatic Step Brothers, Boats and Hoes. I like the... Is it Sarah Bratman rendition of Time to Say Goodbye? There's Italian opera singers that sing it a lot. I can't believe you don't know that song. Well, I'm not all that versed in Italian opera. You do know I live in Kansas, right? We ain't in Kansas anymore, Dan Dan. I don't know why she keeps making an appearance. So it's time to say goodbye because of all the vaulted games that Stern Pinball has recently, remember a couple months ago they announced these games, and then they added Mandalorian two weeks ago. These games are going to be vaulted. We're not going to make them for at least two years, and in many situations we're just not going to make them at all because of the licensing. so they're done. But that doesn't mean they're done right now. There are still some around. Dealers have them Stern Pinball has inventory of games but what I wanted to remind people here are some of the list of these vaulted games over at Stern that they have in stock but they getting very low So essentially, everyone will have to say goodbye because Stern won't be making them. They're not going to have any. Like Deadpool Pro and Elvira Premium, they're what's classified as low stock over at Stern. I don't know what that number generally is. It's probably minus 50 units, if I had to guess, as we work down the list here. Like Avengers, Infinity Quest Premiums, they only have 15 units left to sell. And then once they're done with those 15 units, it's up to you and a dealer, whatever dealers have them. And then it dries up there, and then they're gone. Star Wars Comic Pro, Stern has less than 15 units to buy. Foo Fighters Pro, only 10 units left over Stern Pinball. Star Wars Comic Premium, less than 10 units left. We're whittling down here. Mandalorian Pro, Dennis, there's only three units left. They're gone. You win, you win. Rush Pro, two units left. Oh, no. Mandalorian Premium, it's already gone. Already out of stock at Stern Pinball. Stern Pinball, you're not going to see another one leave that factory for at least two years, if not forever. So if you want a Mandalorian Premium, you're going to have to reach out to your dealer and see if they have them. and by your dealer, I mean me and flipping out pinball. Of course. Oh, yeah. Rush Premiums, out of stock. Out of stock at Stern Pinball. They're gone there. Iron Maiden Pros, those have been out of stock at Stern for a while, and those are vaulted. That's a lot of games that they're vaulted that you're just not going to see anymore. Everybody's like, oh, they're inundated with inventory. I mean, that's a lot of games to say that they're pretty much done with. Other titles that are currently unavailable to purchase from Stern Pinball. These are backordered. As a dealer, if I wanted to, right now, if I wanted a Jaws Pro, and I said, hey, Stern, I'd like to buy five of your Jaws Pros, they're going to say, that's fine, but you're going to have to wait until whenever they're making them next. So here's all the games that are not available for dealers to even purchase at Stern right now. Black Knight Sword of Rage Pro, none there. Godzilla Premium, gone. James Bond Pro, gone. James Bond Premium, gone. Jaws Pro, Jaws Premium. Jurassic Park Pro, Jurassic Park Premium. Metallica Remastered, Stranger Things Pro. The Uncanny X-Men Pro, The Uncanny X-Men Premium. Dungeons and Dragons Pro, Dungeons and Dragons Premium. They're gone. I can't buy any right now. A lot of those titles I have on back order, but what's that? Two, four, six, eight, ten, twelve, fourteen different SKUs skews or different games that you cannot buy right now at Stern. The reason I brought this up, everybody's talking about this market, and, oh, everybody's just sitting on all this inventory, and I think they're doing a pretty good job of balancing it over at Stern. And who better to know how to do that than the people who have been doing it for decades? But I just find it, I think people may find it interesting that it's not like I can just call and order those right now. and your little accessories too. They have plans to no longer have any future builds for the Rush accessories, like the Rush Topper, the Rush Shooter Rod, the Side Armor, and the Expression Lighting System. And to note, listener, the Rush Expression Lighting System, they don't have any in stock over at Stern either. So again, if I called and ordered that, they'd say, we're out and we're not making any more. We have no planned builds to make that again. Gone. The Mandalorian topper, shooter rod, art blades, and side armor. They have no plans to build any more of those again. And the side armor, they have none in stock. Black Knight, Sword of Rage topper, art blades, and shooter knob. No plans to build that again. The stern pinball and the shooter knob itself already gone. Interesting? No. Except the expression lighting. That's probably interesting. No one wants to rush without the expression lighting. Love your accessories. Other notes on accessories that I've picked up based on the scheduling. Oh, my gosh. How much notes do you have? People, you don't get this. People don't get this. I don't. Might as well. No. Might as well offer it to them. I mean, that's fair. Metallica Remastered Expression Lighting System has kind of been the bane of my existence in the accessories world right now. Because they come out with the damn thing. I order a truck full of them, and they don't give me all of them. And then I patient because I'm a patient little, I don't know why I was thinking grasshopper, because grasshoppers really aren't that patient, I wouldn't think. Well, the story with the grasshopper and the ants, that grasshopper sure was patient to not harvest any food. Oh, yeah. He was a lazy. You don't know that story? He was a lazy. Yeah. Yeah. He was fiddling. Too busy. Fiddling his little daisy dukes. You know, I do like a good fiddle. as I make my cornbread. It's a Metallica remastered expression lighting. Great. I can never get what I want in stock. And I think they built, they had some a couple months ago. They made more. I still didn't get all that I had ordered initially. But rest assured, those and armor kits should be produced here in June. Shooter knobs are not in stock at Stern right now. And production's even TBD on those. So if you're looking for a shooter knob, get that now. But if you're waiting for that, Expression Lighting System should be June. James Bontopper, we have those on back order. Still none at Stern to be purchased, and the production is TBD. Damn it. Stern is low stock on Foo Fighters shooter rods and Expression Lighting Systems. My take on this is because this game has been vaulted, listener, I do not see them running these accessories again. And if they do, it would be for a long, long time. I don't think it's going to happen. So if you're wanting to get your Foo Fighter accessories, especially the expression lighting and shooter knob, get them now. Stern is out of Godzilla 70th Topper and Armor kits, and production is even marked TBD as well. Same thing, because these are not making any more 70th anniversary Godzilla games. It was an anniversary edition. It was made last year. It doesn't make sense to make them for the 71st anniversary. So I don't see them running these accessories anymore either. Same with Elvira House of Whores. It's a vaulted game. They're out of the shooter knob, and the next production is TBD. The topper they're low stock of as well. I just don't see them doing it. They still plan over Stern Pinball to make more Star Wars comic art blades and original art blades. We have not seen those for a long, long time. They're planning on doing another run of those in June. Shaker Motors are back ordered to Stern Pinball. They've been so for a little bit. Shaker Motors, you can never have enough. just stock some up. You're going to trade a game. You're not going to take it out. You're going to need another one. If you need shaker motors, get them. That was nice. A nice little update for people to let them know, hey, if you're thinking about this, you may want to pull the trigger. Or if you're thinking about this, they've still got stock of that. Dennis, I know you're writing notes. Yeah. I was thinking about this last week. I was thinking about this. Ironically, I've seen a couple media sources talking about this over the last couple of days. So everybody's minds in the same place. Do you know the relevance of June 20th, 1975, that date? No. It was when my first child was born, a natural birth. It was, I was in the fields, as I recall. No, it was June 20th, 1975, the film Jaws was released. I know it was their 50th anniversary. I didn't know the exact date. 50th anniversary. That seems significant, doesn't it? Well, does it seem significant to Stern? I would hope so. If they like making money, I would hope that... If you like paying money, folks, and you enjoy black and white with touches of red, get ready for the same art scheme we see on everything, the monochromatic Jaws. And June 20th is an interesting date, too, because if we look up in our schedule for the next run of Jaws Premium, it's in June. I don't know. I'm just trying to – I like the connect the dots thing. So it's just very interesting. And, you know, I did say in July. It looks like there's some room to build something. So, you know, an announcement on June 20th and building in July is interesting. You know what else is interesting to me? You talked about the scheming of this and what it would look like. Did you know, Dennis and listener, that a shark does not see in color? They see in black and white. I never really thought about how they saw. I find that interesting. The relevance of black and white. They see in black and white. and also a lot of blood is shed, a lot of red is shed whenever old Brucie chomps down his teeth on his victims. What's black and white and red all over come June 20th? Do you think it would do well, a 50th anniversary? Oh, sure. Yeah, I mean, Jaws is, yeah, the game's very popular. I don't know if there have been people holding for an anniversary. Maybe a few were, but some that might be thinking about getting Jaws but just didn't pull the trigger over the last year or so might go ahead and do it now. The title's still selling well, and what we talked about last time is that whole rhetoric that I just never understood. Like King Kong, man, they can't sell those things. They're not selling well, but it's taking the same trajectory as Jaws did the year before sales-wise, whether it's the Pro and Premiums or the L.A.s. almost identical and nobody would say that Jaws was not a great seller. So at this point, it's just objectively rhetoric, but I think it would, uh, I think it would do well. I really do. Do you think it'll do the whole, what happened with Godzilla? Whenever that anniversary edition came out, the whole black and white thing, it sold phenomenally well, but then some people were like, man, I still like the color though. And it was kind of hard to get the color at that time. So the color one then got a little boost and, uh, I had the black and white ones for a good long while. But then, and we called it too. If you go back and listen, listener, we called it. I said, those things are going to dry up and that is going to be a hard one to get. And where are we at now? That's the tough one to get. I think the same thing will happen with Jaws. I think it's going to come out. It is going to sell well because it's going to be that pushing point for anybody who has not purchased a Jaws. And the 50th anniversary. That's just kind of a cool moniker on top of it. And then what's going to happen is people are like, well, that don't make no damn sense, black and white with jaws. I don't get it. I like the color version. And then the color version will have a little bump in sales and notoriety. And then toward the end of the year, they will start fading out of those black and whites, and then they won't make them again next year. And then those will be the ones to kind of get. It's like we've been here before, Dennis. there's a rumor that continues to get stronger just like the force a star wars episode episodes one through three as the next cornerstone from stern pinball coming in august september do you believe it no oh no he doesn't believe it designed by john borg I mean, I can believe he designs the next Cornerstone. But you don't think it's going to be... Episodes 1 through 3 are not good. Why would you do it? Did you not see they recently did a new theatrical release of Episode 3, Revenge of the Sith? Or Returns, Revenge of the Sith. I heard about it. It did very well at the box office. I mean, kids who saw the 1 through 3 when they were kids, I guess they did like it. It still sucks. No one liked 1. I mean, it's not the worst thing in Star Wars, but it's not. I've been a believer since Star Wars. And some people may say that they feel it's better than the sequels ended up being. Oh, I mean, I think most would say that. Yeah, I think so, because at least the continuity is there. With the sequels, it feels like you had the first one, which was just a redo of episode four, and then they had the second one, and then the third one just spends the whole time undoing the second one, and you're like, why is this a thing? And that's just my perspective. But the right answer would have been that they should do Andor. Don't spoil it. I'm not going to spoil it. But now that they've done the second season, and it's only a two-season show, always was meant to be. I always have to watch it on my phone, though, because I can't hear the audio in my living room. It's just, I don't know. But deeply popular by anyone who watches it. Is it thematic enough for a pinball machine, Andor? Sure. Meaning, is it, does it have iconic pieces? Just tie it into Rogue One as well, because it's essentially the prequel to Rogue One. If you need iconic set piece stuff, it still lets you have Vader, it lets you have stuff. Interesting. But no, there was no chatter about Andor. There's also chatter about... No, okay. If it's not episodes one through three, maybe it's just the Cornerstones just themed around Darth Vader himself. Doing what? There's a lot of products that focus just on Darth Vader. Yeah, but. Okay. I mean, look at the look at the comic premium version. Comic premium version came out and on the back glass. Yeah, artistically. But I meant like the game, like what the game is going to like. What's the gameplay? I guess they're like comics and stuff with him. But yes, yeah, there's comics. Vader basically is just the original trilogy. He's barely in the prequels. He's not in the sequels. And the Obi-Wan Disney Plus show was not very good. His parts were cool, but he wasn't a huge part of it. Well, just look what they're doing to – look what Stern's doing, though, with King Kong. They're creating their own world. With Godzilla, they're creating their own – they're doing a lot of – Disney's going to be more restrictive, though. Okay, that's a good point. There will be no own world in the world of Disney. The mouse doesn't mess around. I could see them theming it around the comics, though. Sure, but that's not what's interesting to me. I don't care what they do with the art. It'd be cheaper. I'm trying to understand what the game is going to be. They're doing their own animations. I'm really hung up on this. I'm glad I didn't know about this rumor because now my dander is getting up. I'm excited. Because I'm like, what parts are we going to have? Like, I hate sand. Is that going to be a mode? I have the high ground is that going to be a mode I killed them the women and the children too is that going to be a mode I liked it the women and the children I killed them I killed them off they're dead every single one of them not just the men but the women and the children too they're like animals and I slaughtered them like animals I hate them you were the chosen one you were the chosen one I was said that would destroy the Sith not join them I love that movie I just want it to be around episode three I would be in heaven if it was just a Star Wars episode three Revenge of the Sith pinball machine. I would love it. Honestly, I hope it's episodes one through three because I would be a freaking fan. I love that idea. Let's try spinning. That's a neat trick mode. Is that going to be a movie? Oh, my God. You guys, if you think these shows were good, they weren't. I'm telling you. They were awesome. No. Oh, my gosh. Ewan McGregor? Come on. I think I would rather re-watch the modern movies. And they could have the whole meme of What's Your Name in the field with him. Oh, my God. But they won't. Disney won't let them. It's not going to be fun. It's not going to be weird and poking fun. It's not going to do that. Pod racing? Come on. And we haven't talked about the whole face of the entirety of that game. Mesa. Mesa like a cougar you're talking about. I didn't even want to go there. I didn't even want to go there. Or when he goes and visits his leader under the water and he's all going, the whole time. Is this game going to have a hurry up? I am the Senate. I have to shoot it to get through all this dialogue. It's treason. If you ask me, the artwork on the Pinball 2000 Episode 1 was beautiful. I just love the style and colors and composition. I love that package. I don't know who was the artist. All right. Well, I don't like this rumor, but it is what it is. I'm excited. so maybe maybe coming because there was talks of pokemon but they're like i think that might be so much smarter and i think that might be january but we shall see new code dennis loves talking accessories and new code venom version 1.06 tons of speaker lighting and shaker effects add an insider connector achievements and additional tweak gosh oh yeah metallic remastered version 1.01 ready it's done new service menu ui i'm still trying to get used to that additional tweakage more tweakage dungeons and dragons v.90 this game it's not done this thing is gonna be freaking deep damn 0.90 they've added character stats and game progress on the Insider Connected game page. This is cool. Like on the app and when you go actual on the thing on your computer, now you have personalization stuff from D&D. Like it'll bring up your character stats and your game, all of that stuff. See, now this is like the little game that evolves everything, and they're testing its boundaries now. They've also added 40 new achievements, the new service menu UI, added cut scene gallery if you want to watch all the different cut scenes from the game a lot of other tweakage and additions balancing etc that game's still doing well king kong version 0.82 people are raving about this one a lot of stuff added more game intros light shows call out sound effects shaker effects they even added many modes as awards when collecting the island treasures tons of code additions balancing polish etc so go out and play yours today Jersey Jack pinball. We are still waiting for the wizard. Dennis, when's this thing going to come out? Fuck. I've even seen others posting in pinball places talking about how they've run out of all the money their kids need to eat. They're listening to Jack. They won't spend. And I don't really think it's all that funny, but I do like that everyone's kind of running with it. Nap Arcade reporting that we could be in for a multi-month wait as licensing issues have emerged. He said one to two months, if not longer. My incredulous dander is up now. Why was there all this stuff like a TPF baiting us on this if it's that far away? You, Zach, last time you and I spoke, I was getting the impression that by the end of this month, and we're at the second half of this month already. I originally heard, I'm going to be honest with you guys, I originally heard end of May. That was like the official, that was their aim, end of May. but it sounds as if they may have hit a few snags. I don't know what that means. If it is a licensing issue, is NAPA insinuating? Maybe. I mean, I don't know. Is it an art thing? Is it a code thing? What is it? I don't know. My question also is, like, what are they doing in the meantime? What are they building right now? What are they making? Maybe they're not. Yeah, but what do you do with your workers? Is everybody just playing go fish? Furlough. Don't they use the same contractor approach that Stern does? Yeah, but wouldn't we have not heard about that? I don't know. I don't either. I don't know. Maybe there's enough work to let them build some avatars. That's my thing. Elton John's from the people that didn't listen. Okay, well, then I'm out. All right. Then they're building Harry Potters, and they're just going to put the art on later. They're going to hand paint each one. Each play field will be hand painted. It's going to be tricky painting around that ramp. That's the bitch of pinball production right there because the canvas in which you use to put artwork is the one that you start with in the production line. But if it's not the art, then they may be doing playfields and maybe it's a part or maybe it's stuff that's software oriented. And so they're actually building them that they can't put them out because the code's not approved enough to be able to be released. Remember how James Bond was when it finally came out and everyone was like, what is this? Yeah. Stranger thing fonts floating all over the place. And it was a weird state to be in. Or that could be. Or maybe they're not building them as well. I'm saying maybe not. Barrels of fun. And their workers are just showing up. Or are the workers already gone? And that's why we didn't hear anything is they've been gone for months. I don't know. Barrels of fun. Pinball Dune is shipping. and more are hitting locations as we speak. We had a handful that shipped to locations this last week. So around the country, you're going to be able to play this game. The game was also showcased on the YouTube channel Test It with Adam Savage. Have you heard of that program? I have. Has he done a pinball before or not? He did Labyrinth. He did Labyrinth. So I think that with David David Van Es, he has connections in the film industry and knows Adam Savage, so I think that's helped. But, I mean, that channel alone has nearly 7 million subscribers. And it was a good look. A nice in-depth preview of the game with the creator, David David Van Es. I recommend you guys going to check it out. I've been playing more and more of it. It just still needs to go. It just needs some stuff. It needs more. More sand. But I actually haven't had a pinball machine, Dennis, in my office for over a year. And that has changed. this last week, I put Dune Pinball in my office. Looks damn good. I was very worried about your office. Well, look, it's special. It's number one. It's the first one ever. Wow. Can't wait to see the markup on that. No, it's staying. Hey, remember when you had that Elvira special number or you thought it was a special number? What number? I forget. What's number one? I had 69. I've had 69 Elvira. I get a lot of them. It wasn't like number one, though. It was like, I don't know, it was like 10 or something. You just thought it was going to be a special number. Some of those are cool, man. Some of those are cool. I'll tell the manufacturers this. I think you still have it. I think it's still sitting there to this day. A number one is very special. And hopefully spooky, if you're listening, spooky, you know, you may have a game coming out that a number one would mean a lot to me. That's all I'm saying. That would be great. I'm so looking forward to spooky stuff. Speaking of, spooky pinball. New code. Evil Dead. They added Cheryl Multiball, which is a brand new multi-phase mode. I like this. It has branching outcomes. That's cool. We don't see that always in pinball. You know what I mean by that? That's a gaming thing, right? Yeah. Like the choices you make in one phase will give you a different conclusion. It's like choose your own adventure kind of thing. Turn back to page 74. You die. yeah a multi-phase mode with branching outcomes you complete two modes from the first film to qualify cheryl multiple and then there's like a new linda trick they added reverse flippers because remember linda sent the mean old thing that she can tell you something's going to happen it doesn't like ball save is on and then you drain it's not because she's a liar but she adds little tricks in there when you're playing this game and uh the most recent code update adds reverse flippers she'll screw you on. Now, for those of you who are like, I don't like changing the game at all. Everything's got to be linear and predictable. I'm a competitive pinball player. You can disable all the individual tricks and all that stuff in the menu settings, so don't worry. A lot of people are asking, well, what game are they on? I'm 497, Zach. When are they going to ship mine? My answer is always, I don't know. The company right now is shipping around to number 180. Around 180 tennis. I think they're making quite a few a week. so they're doing pretty good. Chicago Gaming Company, the Cactus Canyon, we got an update for those enhancement kits, those lime and sheets upgrade kit kind of things. They were hoping to do end of May or mid-May, and then hashtag tariffs and parts and all of this. Now their current estimate is to start shipping them mid to end of June, so that is like a month from now. We'll see. That's exciting. And then the other news of pinball this week, pinball brothers and pedretti gaming remember they're under the same umbrella is it a dainty frilly umbrella with lace on it and doily what's a doily you know those things on the table yes a cloth umbrella that we wear in savannah i need to go down to savannah i love that place might be one of my favorite places savannah everybody's like no charleston's where it's at I like Charleston, too. But for some reason, Savannah sings to me. It speaks to me. I feel it in my soul. In another life, I think I probably lived in Savannah, Georgia. I don't know why. Have you ever been to Savannah? No, I have not. Oh, wonderful, wonderful utopia there. Savannah. Most of it. There are some areas that you might kind of stay. But for the most part, beautiful place. Historic. Don't touch the moss. Did you know that? I'll tell you that. You know that beautiful hanging moss at the southern willows? You know what I'm talking about? Yeah, I think so. The hanging is beautiful from all the trees and stuff. You do not ever want to touch that, listener, because... Any guess why? Is it toxic? It's all infected with, like, these mites. And if you touch them, you'll get them all over you, and they'll ravage your skin. So you do not want to touch that. Leave the moss alone. Yeah, you don't want to invite those in bed with you. Where was that? Pinball Brothers. So Europe to Savannah. All right. Pedretti Gaming, Pinball Brothers, under the same umbrella. That's right. Predator for Pinball Brothers is the rumored game. Rumored to be waiting for releasing it until Potter comes out. But I don't know what they do with that now. Do you wait? Or do you jump in front of it? What do you do? You get to the top of it. I don't know. I mean, with all the stuff to, I mean, at this point, if it's absolutely ready to go, I guess you could jump in front. I would, especially if these whole tariffs on a whole thing, like, shit. If you have parts and you're really actually ready to build, build the damn thing and get it out before anything changes with that. That would be my recommendation. But it also brings up like Pedretti Gaming. Same kind of deal. The rumor is Tales of the Arabian Nights getting the remake. This is a good rumor. This makes sense. But here's the thing. Do we see Tales of Arabian Nights remake from Petretti first or Predator from Pinball Brothers first? Because they're being built in the same factory. I think one will come before the other. It's a good point. I still think Predator. I'm going to say Predator because of the rumor that it's basically ready to go. And I haven't heard the same about the Totan remake. One could then argue, if they are waiting for Harry Potter to launch, Toten is like, it's not as much of a Slash. It's just a money Slash. It's a market Slash. But it's a whole different type of game. Toten is going to appeal to classic pinball people who love the Bally Williams stuff. And that's a huge segment of pinball collectors. Maybe they swap them. There's a Venn diagram, but it's not the same as the people who are. People want Harry Potter just because they like the theme Harry Potter. People want Totan because they want that specific game. They know the gameplay. They know the rules. There's nothing it has to do. It will print money when it comes out. So I was thinking, well, maybe they do Totan first because it's not as reliant upon the Harry Potter release. I think Totan can come out whenever. All right, so let's say it comes out and Potter comes out the same day. Okay, so Totan's sales are initially somewhat down, but I still think there's a certain group of people that's going to be into that that are just not going to buy Harry Potter. And as long as they plan to make it for a while, there's no reason to expect that Totan wouldn't perform similar to a lot of the other A-list Bally Williams remakes. And I think Totan to many people is in the A-list category, even if, like, gameplay-wise it's not. No, I think theoretically, sure. It's probably my favorite of the pretty J-pop games. The problem I have with that suggestion would be who's making them. Chicago Gaming Company is different than Pedretti Games. Yeah. If Chicago Gaming Company, it wouldn't be until 2030. You're not wrong. Don't you get my dander going again. CGC dander. So I don't know if sales will be as high as they are for a CGC game. Having said that, I think that this would do better than Funhaus. the remake that they did there. Oh, yes. Funhouse, I felt, was an odd choice. Oh, absolutely. I even told the company that in a meeting. Here's where I'm stuck, though. I think that Toten, in and of itself, just remaking it, I think the classic version, remember Funhouse Listener, they did a classic, which basically a reproduction of the original. There was some slight upgrades. you could put the 2.0. It had the color display rather than alphanumeric. So there's a couple of things different. And then they did an LE, which is all the coding stuff different. 2.0 came with it. You get shaker integration. Then you get an entirely different art package. You've got new modes and all this stuff. So that's what they did for Funhaus. I think Toten as it stands is great. So I honestly think that the classic edition with the same artwork is going to sell better than its Ellie counterpart I don know if people really want a change in artwork that much And rules I not convinced that people really want that much change in the animation and stuff I almost think that people would rather have a CGC where they refine the animation on an LCD screen, still make it look dot-like, but they almost make it more clear, and they clarify the line use, but they don't really change it. You know what I mean? Like making their own cut sequences of a genie and stuff. Stewie! Stewie! Stewie. I just don't know if it needs that treatment. So that's why I'm predicting that the classic version sells much better than the LE counterpart. Yeah, I think you're right. I'm not convinced. Maybe don't do an LE counterpart. I think it would do phenomenally if they would do it right, but I'm not convinced they could do it right based on what they've presented with their previous type of the Whirlwind 2.0s. the fun house too and the brian allen look i like that artwork guys but i'm i some of this stuff just kind of needs to be the way it was i don't want changes to the characters that we know so much like when brian allen i think he does like some of the disc golf stuff and he'll take like super mario brothers but in the brian allen form i just don't like it it reminds me of like garbage pale kids. It's rendered in a way that's no longer like... I don't know. It's trying to be edgy, but it just doesn't... I just don't... I want Totem to be how it looks in my game room now. Closer to that than it is Alice's Adventures in Trailer Park Land. I just don't want to risk it going that way. That's my point. But we'll have to wait and see. Man, that's going to be a good title. You know how many people, like you said, would want a Totem? They would buy a Totem. Totem, Circus, Theater of Magic, all three with the original artwork would do very well. I think so, too. Clean it up, but maybe clean up Theater a little bit. That's a little questionable. That's the ugliest art out of three, but it's still a beautiful presentation. I think it would sell better than Circus Voltaire. Circus Voltaire out of those three would probably be the worst selling. I mean, it's one of my least favorite, but some of the people who, in terms of gameplay, like Circus right after maybe World Cup soccer in terms of his gameplay games. I don't. I actually – I always thought Toten had some interesting shots myself. Theater was too fan layout for me. People love the trunk. We've got to thank some people. Dennis, the screaming goats. Thank you, Rodney. Thank you, Bob. So I've got a question, Dennis. If the Bobcat had a Pedretti Gaming remake, like an LE 2.0, what would it – I think it would be themed around, like, the wife attacking the Bobcat for the LE. Oh, shoot that fucker! Oh, okay. I see where you're going. Okay, yeah, that kind of makes sense. Thank you, Steve, for the continued support. Bumblebee! Scream it out loud and proud, Bumblebee. Absolutely. What would the LE version of the Pedretti remake be of Bumblebee? Yeah, probably Megatron beating Bumblebee up. Oh, that's mean. Well, he's a mean guy. It could be. Maybe it's just Shia LaBeouf with a bag over his head in the theater. Every mode is like a different emotion from Shia LaBeouf. Thank you, Panther. Thank you, Rob. Or Panther, the Screaming Goat Club members. We appreciate your continued support here at the Pinball Show. So I think it would be, instead of a panther, be a cougar. And you know what I'm referring to, Dennis. I thought it would be actually just all the artists, the perfume cologne sex panther. This is bottles of it. And just quotes about 60% of the time. It works every time. Oh, my God. Like a diaper filled with Indian food. I think that's one of them. All right. Thank you, Frank. I just love that sound effect The Falcon Maybe the Ellie version would be The Crow Based on the You keep wanting to turn them into Other animals that are kind of like them Why not have it be Well that's what the Ellie Petretti remakes are Kind of like them The Millennium Falcon then it will sell Yeah but maybe the porn version of Star Wars Thank you Charlie ring your bell taco bell is definitely what that has to be now all restaurants are taco bell make sure to use your seashells william i love you and appreciate you the dude what's another coen brothers film raising arizona speaking of diapers that's right the lady killers a very underappreciated one for anybody who hasn't seen the lady killers with tom hanks please go check that movie sucks yeah right that movie is bonafide genius. Oh my God. The only thing that's probably rated lower in his filmography than Turner and Hooch is that movie. Oh. I saw the sign in your window advertising a room to let. I'm looking for a quiet tenant. Madam, you are addressing a man who is quiet and yet not quiet. Don't say bad things about the Cohen brothers. No country for old man men? Maybe it's that. What's the one I didn't get into? Simple Man? I don't think I like that one. Llewyn Davis was one of them, I think. I love the Coen brothers, but The Lady Killers was phenomenal. It had, what's his name in it? Parker! I always forget his name. Talks about his girlfriend, Mountain Girl. You brought your bitch to the Waffle Hut. That is a great, great movie. The Lady Killers. That's my recommendation this week. Listener, go watch You only picked that because Tom Hanks is doing Doing your southern bell accent Or trying to The entire movie It's so painful Left my wallet in El Segundo Look, I've seen that film so many times, it's great I've seen it once and I was like, why did I watch this? It's not enough Even like the jock with the head injury Talks like this It's fantastic Josh, thank you so much I'm going to rock out with my cock out Cock-a-doodle-doo back to you, my friend, the rooster here on the Pinball Show. Cock-horn, leg-horn. I said, I said. There you go. Keep your southern street going. Man, I'm still thinking of Scrappy-Doo. Scrappy-Dabby-Doo. Spooky. I didn't hear from you guys. I hope you released a code update and took that little pup out. Remember the pup named Scooby-Doo? That was my jam whenever I was a kid. I used to watch. That's my age. the pup named Scooby-Doo with the red herring. Man, that was a good one. I think it was, was that the 90s? Was that the, had to be the end of the 80s into the 90s. Saturday morning cartoons. So good. What are we talking about over on Discord? Theme parks. Some theme park stuff. Yeah, a lot of theme park talk. I'm just glad that the whole watches thing took a little break. Yeah, finally. Talk about feeling isolated. Damn watches. Hey, we've got our happy hour coming up for the Nordman level and higher. This very Wednesday, the 21st at 8 p.m. Central, I believe, right? I'm drinking tequila this week. Yeah, you said that last episode that you were going to. Buckle up. I'm looking forward to it. I might be sitting in my hot tub. One of these weeks, I'm going to tune in in my hot tub, clothed, of course. I just worry about electrocution, but I mean, I guess you probably have some pinball part that'll solve that. Yeah, I do. It's probably a fuse. Straight down the middle, we're about to. It's a YouTube series I do on pinball. Greg and I are going to record again, I believe, this week or next. We've got some fun this or that's coming in another review, I believe. The Simpsons Pinball Party is like the nicest one I've ever seen. I even price it a lot because I'm like, I kind of like this. Don't mind if it stays here and it's sold. I was bummed out. But shit happens. Dungeons and Dragons, Metallica, X-Men, John Wick, Godzilla, Jaws, Jurassic Park, Labyrinth, Pulp Fiction, Avatar. all of these titles can be yours. Elton John just played that over. We should have done a Whatcha Playing? Because I've been playing more pinball for the last couple weeks, Dennis. And you know what game I gave a try again? I've owned it before. It's a Keith Elwin game. And I'm like, this does not get the love it should. This is actually a phenomenal game. It is a really, really good game. Well, if you're saying it's one that doesn't get enough love, then it's probably Avengers. It was. Damn, man. That's the one I kept. I was at the shop waiting for FedEx and stuff, and I played that once. I played John Wick once, and what else? I was playing Evil Dead and Elton John. Those were my four I was playing. Damn, that Avengers, I'm like, I really could see this entering my collection again because it looks cool, but it's just the perfect. I love the layout, and it's difficult code-wise, but not like crazy difficult. It's convoluted if you get into the awards and what gym. But I don't worry about that. I just worry about starting a mode and trying to finish that mode, which is a great challenge, and trying to get all the gyms, power stones, whatever. I don't know. I've been really loving that. John Wick continues to kick my ass. I appreciate it more that the code is better, but it just is so fast. It is so fiery fast. All right, what about the vaulted games? Make sure to get those before they are gone. and Flip N Out Pinball. Get yourself a Funhaus remake, Pulp Fictions, Godfathers, Toy Stories, Looney Tunes, Texas Chainsaw, et cetera. Merlin's Arcade, pre-order one of those. Accessories, hand trucks. The Media Channel, Flip N Out Pinball. Joel last, two weeks ago, streamed King Kong Ellie. I think he's going to stream that again. And then we may transition over to Dune, or we may do a little Ninja Eclipse. I haven't decided, but we're having a lot of fun over there. Follow and subscribe to Flip Announce YouTube and Facebook so you can get up-to-date used games that are up on the market. Dennis, these people are yearning to learn. Okay. Well, I have to reach out to Stern. Stern, this is Dennis here. It's not too late to stop the Star Wars prequels from actually getting a game. Look, it was wrong for Williams to have done the first one back for Pinball 2000. It's wrong for you guys to even contemplate allowing a rumor to circulate that you would do it now. please reverse course however if the only other option is to do the lady killers then go ahead and do it because there's nothing worse than the lady killers so go ahead and do the prequel if that's really our only two choices and always practice safe pinball and me so hot and bothered down here in the south me need a silicone band to fix my hot toes come closer dandy as I trickle this water down Mr. Chest. That's it. Sorry. Southern Jar Jar Binks Cougar. Yes. Everyone will understand. Don't worry. It's really obvious. What a fucking show. What the hell has happened?
