what's up jack dojia mpt3k aka manu here i had a uh a suggestion for you a little while ago and i posted it in the chat i told you i'd make a video for and almost forgot to make the video but this video is just for you it's for nobody else um everybody has different obs layouts and they usually start with your template which is the which is great to get started um but then then uh for people in your situation right we have multiple games and multiple kind of setups i think nested scenes would be uh helpful to you um moving forward here's why i say that okay so and i want to show you exactly what i meant about nested scenes now there is um let me uh switch to this now there is that plug-in like this little fancy little move plug-in that does these kind of moves not talking about that this that's fun that's cute but for the most part you're kind of locked in right you have maybe a couple of shots but most of the time people just want to come and hang out with jack and you keep it on the one screen and you keep your hands on your flippers and you're going um that move command is cute um not necessarily it's not what i was talking about either i'm talking about nested scenes and the the concept of nested scenes and once you see it you're gonna be like oh because i think you're a premiere i mean not a premiere but a photoshop and after effects kind of guy so you know about pre-comping and stuff like that well that's kind of what this is this is taking obs to the next level where you're not just compositing one thing made up of you know the player cam the play field cam the the the the game capture the dmd it's not just all on one scene if you look at this list here of my sources in this particular master scene they are all scenes so it's the it's the concept of taking a scene and bringing into another scene a master scene so that everything can be modular if you look at my play field cam so let's so this right here play field scene i can actually turn this on and off right i can take dmd turn it on and off which is nice because sometimes when i'm on location i'll stream i'll stream tron you know i'll stream iron man i need this i need that little external dmd because i don't want to fill the lcd area with the dmd sometimes i want to do something else right um so that allows me to make a little module and if we take a look at this module for the dmd you'll see it's a it's a module but it really is just a scene that's the entire scene the entire scene is um the dmd capture with a border right i have a little color source that makes a border around it and then that allows me to uh drop that in and if i turn off the lock you'll see i can move it around see which is cool because then jack if you're getting ready for another stream and you may say you have this scene set up but you're doing deadpool you don't need this anymore turn it off just switch visibly just switch visibility off as i get texted while i'm doing this um let's take another look at another one so we've got the player cam right this is a full scene hey [Music] it's just a whole scene that i i i drop into another scene and this has a bunch of stuff like if i show you some of the stuff that i have in here this has things like uh my yodler right my yoda lam animation and these are things that the users can turn on and off um this has the ger from becca it has the pinballer so what i'm doing really cool that happens and this is one of those people this is all in this one scene which i call the player cam and once again i take that player cam and i drop it in and i'm i size it right when it comes in here it's full screen i just size it down to what i need it to be so that i can do something like this and now that's a fancy lee on board kind of transition but you can just grab it right and move it anywhere you want so now if you think about setting up your compositions like scenes within scenes jack i think you have you can do a bunch of stuff like you can just define your hands cam right my hands cam scene is is turned off for some reason why is my hands camp scene turn here we go hands cam boom boom right but if i take a look at my hands cam scene i call the hands cam that's it
