Alright, today we're going to be looking at the Tulse Arcade's Monitor Mount and Bezel Kit. So this is what you're going to get in the package. You're going to get the mount itself. You're going to get a little hardware kit that's got everything you need to do the installation. You're going to get a little letter here that actually explains how to do it, but hopefully if I do a good job you won't need that. You're going to get the bezel, which comes plain black, but you could add artwork. And then you're going to have the actual piece of plexi. Now there's a blue coating on it right now, that's just a protective coating. We're going to remove that during the install process. but let's leave it to keep it safe. And then you're going to get this Dell monitor here, and I'll have a model link in the description. But we're also going to need potentially a screw gun or screwdriver, and then we're going to need some Velcro to add the bezel to our actual monitor border to keep it in place. So let's get started. All right, in the first step, you could take some rubbing alcohol, put it on a dust-free rag so we can clean the border around that Dell monitor. So we have a nice clean surface for our Velcro to adhere to. Now I'm going to have a link in the description of the Velcro, but this is going to be an important step to make sure that that sticks really nice to this monitor so that bezel is never going to fall off. All right, now it's time for the Velcro. So we're going to take the Velcro and we're going to cut pieces that are going to go on each section of the monitor except for the bottom one. So when we apply it, make sure that that access, you actually just fold it over one side of the monitor. This stuff sticks really good, So just fold it on over and the side. There's no need to cut it exactly to the width of the monitor. You're going to do the same thing on the other side. And again, you're going to take that excess. And after you cut that piece, you're going to want to run that down the side. So you're just repeating the process for every single side of the monitor until you have the base layer down on all three sides. You not again you not going to do the bottom because you don want to interrupt the controls because if you had to remove the bezel you can just lift it off since it Velcro You can go and manipulate any of the settings you need on the monitor and then put the Velcro back on Now you're putting the top piece of the Velcro on. You're going to put that on and you're going to leave the adhesive backing on it because we're going to take that off at some point during the process so we can apply the front of the bezel. So you're going to measure that to size and then cut it. You're going to do the same thing on this side and then you're going to do the same on the top. All right, now we're going to prep the back of the monitor. So we're going to take these four screws and remove them on the backside of the monitor. This is actually where your mounting screws are going to go that are provided in the Tulsa Arcade kit. So get those things out of there and then move on to the next step. All right, now we're ready for the monitor mount. So place the monitor mount in the back of the monitor where those four holes are. We're going to need four washers. You're going to get that from your hardware kit. Again, all supplied by Tulsa Arcade. You're going to need your four screws, and you're really just going to screw down all four of these. Now, you may not want to lock it down all the way until you feel like you have the mount in the right spot. So just keep it loose enough that you can kind of fiddle with it just to get it the way you want. I didn't like the way it was there, so I shimmied it down just a bit. And there, that looks good. So I'm going to screw it down. And one thing to keep in mind, once you have this thing screwed down, it is really, really sturdy. Like, check it out. This thing ain't going anywhere. Yeah. All right, we're ready to flip this thing over and remove the adhesive from the Velcro. So we're going to remove all three pieces of the adhesive, and then after that, we're going to be ready for the bezel. Now, when you do get to the bezel step, which is right now, you're going to make sure you line it up really, really good because that adhesive sticks pretty good to this thing and just push down all the corners and make sure you got a nice tight fit All right before we put on the Plexi it might be a good idea to just wipe the screen down one last time since we going to put the plexi over it and you not going to want to really unscrew it to clean it out later All right, so it's time for the plexiglass. So we're only going to remove one side of the protective coating right now because we want to make sure it doesn't get damaged when we do installation. All right, it's time to attach the plexiglass. You're going to use the four provided screws. They're black. You're going to want to put these things into all the holes. The holes are pre-drilled in the plexi. however they're not pre-drilled in the bezel so you can either push it down and it'll self tap in or you could use a screwdriver if you want but just be careful don't crank it down too hard because you don't want to crack the plexi alright so let's flip this thing around real quick and if you look you can see it's a nice clean edge nice clean line make sure you line that plexi up real good and you should have no problem so right now the only thing left to do before we actually install it is put the bracket system on the back All right, so we're ready for the four metal L brackets. So pull those things out and align them in the four corners of the monitor mount. Okay, the next step I'm going to recommend a 564 drill bit to pre-drill the holes for those L brackets. So just go ahead and pre-drill the holes. You'll need to pre-drill four of them obviously and then screw your mounting screws down and you're good to go. Depending on where you're installing this, you may want to put something down to protect the surface because we're going to install the monitor mount into the cabinet now. And I don't really want my fiance killing me. So I decided I'd put something down to protect the surface. All right, guys, we're at the final stretch. We are ready to install our monitor mount. So I do still have the plexiglass covering on. I want to make sure I don't scratch it up. The other thing, I also have the control panel on and that's by design so I can line it up perfectly. So there's no way this thing isn going to look great So from behind you going to have those two screws you going to put them in those two L brackets I want you to say you going to definitely use that 5 64ths to pre two holes there just don go through the cabinet obviously and then those screws will screw in real good I'll urge you to push that monitor mount as far forward so the placement seems exactly where you want it and then now you could technically take off the protective coating but I just want to make sure make sure to push that as far forward because you want to make sure it looks good and it's aligned as best it possibly can. So let's take off the protective coating now. And I will tell you that there might be some extra pieces laying around. You might have to remove the control panel to get that off. But I'm telling you, you'd rather do that than have a scratched up, you know, bezel. And at this point, we can actually put the side panel back on and put it all together. And we're almost done. All right. At this point, all you have to really do is put your side panels back on make sure they're lined up real good secure it down snug and really all you have left at this point is to put your kick plate in put your j panel in put your control panel in and yes i realize there's a final fight marquee there this is a mod in progress and now you only have those two screws left so pre-drill the two holes there do not go through the cabinet and then you're going to put your two screws that are left in that hardware bag there and you are done you just now have a killer arcade one-up mod that has a 20-inch monitor We'll be right back.
