The reason why I'm streamed out right now Is because I was helping set up And run Do technical stuff for Free Go Watch's San Francisco Pinball League Finals Which happened last week Wait, I don't remember when it happened When did it happen? I don't remember when it happened It happened a few days ago. San Francisco's Pinball League Finals. Boy, oh boy. Broadcasting, streaming competition, way different than what I'm doing here. First of all, we have so many technical issues, it's ridiculous. If anyone knows how to run three wireless HDMI transmitters together, please let me know how to do that. It's impossible. We only ever got two wireless transmitters going. Boy, what else was there? I'm just trying to get my stream set up here. so so yeah so so yeah so i'm a little streamed out we did we did a lot of work and just to get to a kind of a baseline of just kind of a baseline of uh of a tournament stream the reason it's so different is because when I stream my stuff, like when I'm streaming right now, I have my rig, I have my three cameras, I have my laptop, which is right here. So all the cameras go into the laptop. One cam link and two Logitech USB cameras, boom, boom, boom. That allows me to get all my cameras in one microphone and I'm set. But for a competition where you have to move from machine machine to machine you have to have it this setup is not sustainable you can't really move a whole rig and a computer every single time so you have to have your pinball rig be mobile right camera camera here's the best scenario three cameras right dmd play field and dmd play field and player cam, all sending HDMI wirelessly to another computer somewhere in the room that's running OBS, that's running, that's your main, that's your program, right? That's your main station. That's what we had to do at Free Gold Watch, except we could only get two of our HDMI transmitters to work together because apparently there's one manufacturer of the specific chip that's in all these HDMI transmitters, is like one manufacturer of this chip. But there's tons of people using that chip in their wireless transmitters. So unless you spend a buttload of money on a multiple wireless HDMI setup, if you buy one individual one and then add another one, it's really hit or miss whether it's gonna, whether the other one's gonna recognize anything. As we have that situation, we have two. Cable Matters makes some. It's the one that a lot of people use. And if Jupiter is in line with the sun and you're born as a Capricorn, whatever, you can get both of them to work. We had an additional one. I have another one from a company called Paralink that just would not recognize its receiver. Like the transmitter would not recognize its receiver after the first two were on. It just wouldn't. so therefore we couldn't run playfield dmd and and player cams so we said okay fine what's this what's the other thing we can do we can just do dmd and play dmd and playfield cams put those on the rig broadcast those to the to obs um it's a brand new computer i hadn't seen that computer they just pulled that computer hey what's up scott how's it going man i'm just going I'm just talking about the, I'm not going to say the S word, but the, the show that happened a few days ago that I was doing help with talking about wireless HDMI transmitters and stuff like that. Um, so anyway, a computer that I'd never seen before, Freegal Watch has all this equipment. Um, hey, good. Oh, well, if you thought it was, it was decent, but it's not, it's not, When we broadcast City Champ, it has to be on point. Everything has to be perfect. But this time it was a matter of I didn't get a look at the hardware. Like I didn't get a look at the – they have equipment there. Apparently they have – they did a fundraiser at Free Gold Watch a long time ago, and they bought HDMI transmitters. And when you say the S word, it's the same. Yeah, its intent is the same when you say the S word. so I got I got to look at the computer like two days before the league thing and then there were a lot of issues Elgato Cam Links are garbage I say I look they're fine but they're garbage because I used to do live streaming actually let me switch to the player let me switch to the we're going to do some pinball magic I don't know Let's see how this looks. We're going to play a little pinball magic. I have no idea. I have no idea what... I've never played a... I think I played a pinball magic in my life once. I don't have any idea what the rules are. We're just going to shoot around and see what happens. But getting back to the story we I never seen this before so so and I was saying Elgato Camelinks are garbage Um oh What? What, my friend? How this stuff should be done professionally and how we're jury-rigging stuff to make it happen.
