I came across an interesting article this morning about Team Pinball, the UK company behind the 2018 retro pinball game The Mafia and more recently the software for the Pedretti Gaming kit FunHouse 2.0 Rudy's Nightmare. The a lot of the article talks about how Team Pinball's machines and kits are designed to run on a Raspberry Pi 2 and how they've upgraded that to the newer Raspberry Pi 3. It goes into the design process for The Mafia, but to me the most interesting part is a short paragraph at the end... A Canadian company also uses the Team Pinball system for their game design. Better yet, Romain says Team Pinball “absolutely!” has more pinball machines in the pipeline. “More pinball projects, all powered with Raspberry Pi, CM4, and Raspberry Pi Pico!” The first part of the quote is a reference to Team Pinball's work with Pinball Adventures on its upcoming games (Punny Factory and Elements), which I would think we will get to see more of very soon. It's the second part of the quote though that has me wondering what's next? More Pedretti Bally / Williams 2.0 kits? Helping another new pinball manufacturer program games? Designing a second game themselves? The more pinball the merrier. 2023 is going to be a big year for the hobby. https://www.blogdot.tv/team-pinball/
