Hello and welcome to Pinball Pursuit. I'm Dr. C. And I'm Mrs. J. Today we're doing something a bit different. We're doing another tutorial for Jaws Pinball. Oh, another one? Another one. There's just so much to cover on this game that we couldn't fit it all into one video. This time we're going to be going over a few more advanced aspects of Jaws Pinball. So if you're looking for some basics such as the playfield layout, modes, and multiballs of the game, check out our first video. We'll throw the link in the description down below. So Dr. C, what are we going to cover in this video? Well, first off, we need to talk about the gear. There are six pieces of gear that you can collect during your battle with the Great White Shark Bruce. Each one has an insert in the middle of the playfield. All of them have unique perks that will make the game easier to complete. So from top to bottom we have, first up, the barrel hook. This helpful item extends the length of your jaw's multiball. you drain down to just one ball in Jaws multiball, this item will get used and it will plunge another ball into play, continuing your multiball run. It's super helpful for getting those Jaws jackpots. Next is the shark cage. This helpful item gives you a one-time use ball save if you happen to drain after you hit the shark fin pop-up target. Okay, that's a lifesaver. I can't even count the number of times I've hit that fin and had the ball shoot right back down the middle. Oh yeah, me too. This is super helpful to have. Next up we have the Dart. This helps you with your bounty hunts. Once you activate a bounty hunt after obtaining this item the requirements for the hunt are cut in half which is huge And if you manage to capture the shark you are hunting which is really hard to do by the way you score double the points if you have the dart On the bottom row, we have binoculars. This helps you close down those beaches faster. Once you hit a shark tower stand-up target, instead of only one beachgoer being lit, you'll light up two, which will help you get to search and rescue so much faster. In the center, we have the oxygen tank. This useful equipment gives you extra time for the rest of the ball you are on. This goes for ball saves and mode timers, giving you some nice breathing room. Get it? For scoring all the points possible in a mode. And last but not least is the tracker. This gets you to the Jaws multiball faster. With the tracker, when you advance the chum line, either by hitting the chum bucket, captive ball, or making a red shot, you'll get double the progress on your chum line. This doesn't last forever though, you only get three uses before it's done. So that is what all of the pieces of gear do, but how do you get them? Well, to collect gear, you'll need to hit Quint's Shack, which is the right ramp, once you have a piece of gear lit. Lighting a piece of gear can be done in a variety of ways. Let's go over all of them. First off, you can light gear right off the plunge by making a level 2 or level 3 skillshot. The super secret skill shot, which spoiler alert, is hitting the boat or shark shot, will also light gear. The next easiest way to light gear is by hitting a quick shot. This is a special shot at the shark fin that you'll set up by first shooting the ball from the mini flipper through the harpoon lane. After the ball goes through the lane, the shark fin will pop up but it won move Hitting that scores you points and lights gear The next way to light gear is if you manage to score four jackpots during the Night Search Multi mode that is activated with the Fish Finder Those are all great ways to light gear, but we all know the most important one is saving Pippet. That's right, the second and fourth time that you manage to save Pippet, you'll light gear. Oh, and for those that aren't dog lovers, you can also save people to light a piece of gear. all you have to do is save eight beach goers. You will know that you have a piece of gear lit because one of the gear inserts will flash white. Hitting the flippers changes which piece of gear is lit and whichever one you are on when you hit Quint's shack will determine which piece of gear you collect. A collected piece of equipment will be solidly lit letting you know that you have it. If you manage to collect all six pieces of equipment you can sell them back to Quint by visiting his shack aka hitting the right ramp. Selling the equipment is what allows you to start the great white bounty hunt wizard mode. You may have noticed that there is one other tool on the play field, the machete. This is a multiplier applied to any shot that you make after rolling over the in lane when the machete is lit. Once lit, you can move which in lane the machete is on by hitting a flipper button. To light the machete, all you have to do is hit three fish finder targets. Machete starts as a 2x multiplier, but can be increased permanently by completing a shark encounter, completing night search multiball, or completing a bounty. It can also be temporarily boosted by saving Pipit! See that little puppy continues to be important, so you better prioritize saving him whenever he plays fetch. He just gets in trouble a lot doesn he I know but he so cute Next up are the memorials These are special combos dedicated to the memory of someone eaten by jaws during the film each one will get you five million points and a nice little placard will be displayed on the lcd screen in honor of the deceased the memorial combos are wait wait wait first you should know that obviously these will be spoilers so if you haven't seen the film which you should stop watching this video and go do i saw for the first time last year at Dr. C. And you guys, it's an oldie, but it was amazing. It's a classic. Anyway, the memorial combos are the left orbit, then the right ramp, then the center ramp in memory of Chrissy Watkins. The wave ramp, then the harpoon lane on the pro and the lookout tower on the premium is in memory of Pippet. Oh, no. The right ramp, then the center ramp, then the fishing reel. and finally the Harpoon Lane is in memory of Alex Kittner. The center ramp followed by the right ramp and then the left orbit is in memory of Ben Gardner. The fishing reel, then the Harpoon Lane, then the life ring target is to honor the scout leader.
