Pinball News Reviews Rumors and more. Coming up soon. Oh, man, that was awesome. What's up, everybody? Welcome back to Don's Pinball Podcast. I think we are up to episode number 16. And first off, shout out to my boy Chuck Reeder for him and his band doing me up that little intro music there. Wanted to use it. really kooky, really spooky, really fitting the season that we're heading into. With Elvira being on the line soon, once the production run of Godzilla Premiums are done, man, it's shaping up to be a great March. And I feel like we're at the cusp of just everything cutting loose, right? I mean, how many games are going to be ready soon? I mean, American Pinball's got one in the can. JJPH should be coming at any time. production delays or marketing delays at this point is what we're waiting for. Stern's got a new one in March. Texas Pinball Festival is coming up. I feel like there's a bunch of news that's about to come out, right? So we're just kind of riding in this tide, almost like the tsunami of news is coming, and we're starting to see the waters kind of still a little bit, the calm before the storm. Anyway, I wanted to come at you on an episode today just to go over and get everything caught up for you and report on some little things that have happened over the last few days. I mean, that's why we do this multiple times a week podcast content, right? So I am back. I'm back in my home studio up in the frozen north of Wisconsin, a little damp today, and I'm back from my trip out to West Virginia and Pennsylvania. Went to Starport Arcade, fun place right in Morgantown, West Virginia, relatively newer. West Virginia has been a little light on the pinball scene, but now there's a legit place, all thanks to the bro that runs Helicon. So the Helicon Brewery meetup I went to on Sunday. Had a great time. I guess I should have figured that with it being Super Bowl Sunday, people probably had prior commitments, but I went and had a great time. Played myself some Bond. Got some time on Alice Cooper's Nightmare Castle as well. So fun, kooky game. I'm still trying to get the hang of how to get to that guillotine shot. But, you know, one of Spooky's cooler games. And the play field looks great I love the colors they used for it I excited about Scooby coming out because it in that similar vein So I excited for that So thanks Helicon for hosting me I left some stickers there for everybody. Hope you don't get mad. Hope the kids didn't put them up on the bathroom mirrors or something. Otherwise, my Rush Mods have shipped. So if you've ordered and you're still waiting for your Rush Mods, they are in the mail in the post now. They should be received domestically, I would imagine, in the next day or two. So watch your mailbox for those. You should get your Rushmonts this week. Once you try them out and you put them in, jump on the Facebook page and just post a photo of them installed. Let me know what you think because we are in the test and adjust phase for those. So I have one set left. If anyone's waiting on one, you can come and get it. Just email me, donspinballpodcast at gmail.com or come on to the Facebook page, instant message me, however you want to reach. If you'd like a set set out, I have one left. um otherwise in other don's pinball podcast merchandising news i've got shirts uh that are coming in the order's in i should have them next week so i know a lot of people have uh emailed in requesting them uh i'm gonna sell these for 25 just to cover the cost of the shirt and shipping domestically to you if you are somewhere else on the planet you know valavu or some little volcanic island i will ship to you But we're going to have to discuss shipping costs if it's going to be a carrier pigeon or Chinese balloon to drop that thing off to you. But I'd like to get everybody their shirts. The largest size I could get from the supplier I'm currently using was XX. So I'm going to try to show some big kid love and find some other suppliers. But for right now, I've got a couple of XXs coming, a ton of XLs, and even some for the kiddos if you feel so inclined. So those are coming soon. I'll probably put a Venmo link or something up on the Facebook or for PayPal friends and family. We'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. If you email me, I'll reach out once they're ready to ship. Otherwise, oh man, speaking of shipping, it came guys. It came. My Tokyo Godzilla neon light mod from Stumbler Pinball has finally showed up. This has been a saga in the making, but I understand, you know, I started on the pin side list. I had to wait. Finally, my number came up and I paid and then it was months and months of waiting. But production delays aside, customs issues aside, it showed up in my door today and I signed for it. I got it installed and it looks fantastic. I just put a photo up on the Facebook page so you can check out what this looks like. It should be mod of the year, right? In the Twippy Votings, I believe this one was listed there. I was a little bitter that I hadn't received mine yet. I think I just skipped voting for that section, but this thing is probably sure to win mod of the year. So, you know, shout out to the Tokyo Neon sign from Stumbler Pinball. All right, there's another new mod out. Have you seen this? Jack Barr is hosting this Spanish extra screen for Stern Spike 2 systems Have you seen this thing So it basically a larger LCD screen that comes with upgraded speakers as well It just replaces that whole middle panel for your spike to machines. So this is everything they've been releasing recently from iron maiden on up to bond. It's coming from to pinball, which a TU it's a Spanish company out in España, out in Spain there, headquartered in Madrid. I emailed out and spoke to Oscar Carrillo, and he gave me the lowdown. He's got a production beginning on these things. He's expecting a lot of demand, so he's limiting them at one per customer. But basically, you get an entire replacement panel for that mid part of the back glass, head screen, backbox. That's pinball terms, Don, get it. So underneath the, you know, lower than the Translight. So you remove your old panel and you'll go from a 15.6 inch LCD screen to an 18.5 inch display. So it really fills up that whole area, even kind of crawls over to the speaker area too. So there's some thinner Pioneer speakers that come with this mod. So you'll have upgraded speakers in the backbox and you'll have a much bigger screen so you know that seems fantastic and with the crazy prices we have been getting from pinball lately this is a refreshing 650 at least for the first run and he's taking orders for them now um you have to email him at screen xl at pinball.com t-u tango uniform pinball.com and then he'll get you out to the uh the paypal links things that's how he got out to me i'm thinking of picking one of these things up so i can install it live stream it uh give a review um now the price is 650 for the mod itself then there is shipping and for shipping to the u.s i was quoted 150 so it's that you know that does sting a little bit raises the entire price to 800 flat if you're in the u.s and you're paying u.s currency uh to get yourself one of these you know it's less than a topper and uh i don't know if you know if you had a bank of 10 machines. I don't know if, you know, trying to get your hands on 10 of these would be very easy, especially when he's limiting them at a one per customer for this first run, but you know, getting one to try out, or if you have one machine, you're really trying to make it look as amazing as possible. And you haven't already bought speaker lights or something, or, you know, upgraded the speaker system. I'd go on this. Um, you can go to their website. It looks like these are the exclusive distributors for Spain to pinball. Um, I don't see anything on their main page yet about this. So email will be the best place to do it. You want to get at my boy, Oscar screen XL at T U pinball.com. And he'll get back at you. Now I happen to mention, Hey bro, where in Spain are you? Because I'm kind of thinking of taking a summer trip and I'm going to be around Barcelona. And wouldn't you know, he said, Hey man, I actually live up there Let me know We can meet up in the old Barker lounger or Barcelona and maybe I can pick it up and skip that shipping charge that be fun right um so i looking forward to that i want to get my order in soon once i get uh you know travel finalized and everything but man i'm gonna go do local pickup and avoid that shipping charge what um other news uh spooky dead just posted this little update um they're deep in the production of the first round of scooby-doo they should be going out soon like soon like maybe this week potentially um for this first build of 30 to 50 and they'll be going to local people so i'm i'm refreshing facebook and i'm looking for somebody to announce like hey we've got this on site in you know the local chicago wisconsin region so we should be seeing some actual definitive gameplay footage of this machine and some hopefully breakdowns um somebody taking the glass off taking the camera around looking at all the angles checking out the shots finding out the mysteries and seeing just where the heck this code is at soon like like soon like this weekend soon it could happen so i'm watching for that the other thing i'm watching for is the same thing with the bond 60th okay there's uh two brand new machines that may be hitting like this week i am so excited um especially since we haven't seen anything about code for bond 60th um i know a few places that have purchased them and we'll be having them out tilt pinball in Minneapolis is one I know for sure. There may be another one closer, but again, I'm just, I'm hitting Facebook hitting refresh, checking all the local Madison, Wisconsin places, checking Milwaukee, checking. So once it gets up and running, I can run out and go try it and see what it is to deal with this game. What the deal is with this game, man, I'm having some brain problems today. Otherwise coming up, man, next month, Texas pinball festival, March 24th to 26th. I went last year. I had a blast. It was my first pinball convention ever. And wouldn't you know, I went to the best one. I'm missing it this year, taking the family on a Antonio Cruz, but I will make it up next year for sure. But if you're in the area, you can drop by even just for a day. We went on a Saturday, paid the Saturday fee and just had my mind and wig completely blown back by all the fun pinball that was on display. I also got to meet my boy Roland with Rec Room World. He had his Ultra VPs on display. If he's there again today, carve yourself out about 10 minutes and go check out his machines to find what I think is the best virtual pinball machine currently on the market. And I am now out of ideas. So quick update, but I mean, we are on the verge of having a deluge of news. So I'm going to give you this to percolate and kind of get your week in order, but there will be more coming soon. So you want the news, you want the reviews, leave a feedback, head over to the Facebook page. I'm going to drop some info on the shirts when they become available.
