I'm gonna make this a quick video for multiple reasons because I've got a bunch of other stuff to do including another video for you guys hopefully to be out today but it's official it's been revealed that the mystery pinball company is bringing us labyrinth and i'm excited for multiple reasons because one it's definitely a theme that speaks to me i grew up watching this movie almost on repeat at one portion of my life literally my older brother hid the vhs that we had of it because he got tired of me watching the movie over and over at least once a day it seemed but you know when you're like seven years old and you have only vhs and you're limited on entertainment you John Youssi what i had to work with and but that was just a movie that i could watch over and over again and it didn't bother me and like over the years there's always been talks of like they should do a labyrinth machine by certain people and then and then it basically developed into like hey this game coming out is potentially going to be labyrinth and so in my head i kept my my feelings down and i was like i'm gonna hold my expectations and i still have to hold back a little bit because we haven't got the full gameplay reveal yet it's mainly just been the announcement but what we've seen in this teaser kind of already gets my expectations up a little bit more because what we're getting is signs that we are going to be getting assets and that was my main concern with them doing a labyrinth game was that it was just going to be you know the labyrinth name but it was going to be like no assets and it was just not going to be what I would want it to be But watching this teaser it looks like it all scenes from the movie And it looks like we're going to be getting David Bowie in his entirety. Like the back glass of the game is him as the Goblin King. We're getting David Bowie, guys. And it's got Jim Henson signed off on this. So evidently they're all on board. Hopefully, what do you need from us to make this game great? And I'm just thinking about it more and more. I'm getting too excited. I need to control myself. Because it looks like with this teaser that it's going to be a decision-based game. Whether that be the game can change how we choose to do it, or there's just going to be different ways we can, I don't know. Like in the code, is it going to be mechanical changes, or is it going to be code changes? That's going to be the big thing right there. And I'm hoping, please be mechanical mainly. I mean, you can have decisions and stuff like that through the game, through software, which that's a given you're going to have that. but I want there to be mechs in this game. There is so much potential for this game to be great, guys, especially if they're getting the assets for it. If you've watched the movie as much as me and you know it as well as me, you know there are so many call-outs that this game can have, so many that I still use to this day, and I guarantee you that 90% of the people that are hearing from me do not catch it. The only people that are probably going to catch it are the other Labyrinth fans as well as my brother. Because he watched it just as much as me whether he liked it or not Did you say hello No I said hello but that close enough So it you better give me call outs I want the movie assets which it looks like we going to be getting and I'm hoping for the music. Dance, magic dance. Dance, magic dance. Dance, magic dance. Dance, magic dance. Dance, magic dance. Please tell me there's going to be the music from the movie in there. I mean, you're obviously going to have to have other types of, like, you know, developed music for background stuff and like that. But I'm hoping that we definitely get, you know, the music. That would definitely be a major plus because that was one of the big portions of this movie. You frickity, fragity, walkity, walkity. There's so many quotes in this movie that I want in this game. oh especially since it's based on like a maze so there's definitely going to have to be like decisions based on what which direction you want to go and i'm hoping that we encounter the bog of eternal stench and stuff like that like whether it be a mode where it's kind of like i guess you know the rick and morty thing where you had a certain mode where it was like every sound effect was farts so maybe there might be something includes that in this game oh so that's where we're at i'm showing you some b-roll footage of the teaser on here and we've got like you know i can freeze frame it to show you what the game looks like at least in the trailer and we should be getting a full gameplay reveal on the 13th which is a couple of days from now and then i should have a much better idea and I will definitely know for sure next week at Expo where they will have it available for play and yes I've already put my name in the hat through my distro on the interested list because fingers crossed guys fingers crossed I know there are plenty of you out there that have like zero interest in labyrinth and that just you know yes i get it i understand and if you've never seen the movie labyrinth make a point to watch it and especially if you have kids watch it with them because i i'm more than willing to bet the kids are gonna love it I cannot say for sure whether or not my daughters have seen it so I may end up watching that movie today with them if the time ratio works out but like I feel like especially if we're going to be getting the game they need to have the knowledge of watching the movie yes this is very early we've only gotten very little stuff but I want to know as of right now what are your current feelings on mystery pinball actually no their name is barrel of fun or barrels of fun either way i don't know if i like that name i'm i was kind of excited i thought their name was actually mystery pinball i almost think that that has a better ring to it but that's just me but barrels of fun maybe it'll grow on me either way i don't care what you call yourself as long as you give me a good machine so anyways i want to know what's your current feelings on mystery pinball or barrels of fun and what they're doing with labyrinth and you've got jim henson involved the company at least obviously so let me know in the comment section down below guys and until next time peace out We'll see you next time.
