pathetic banjo music We're live on YouTube right now. Jamie Bertineau is here with Brentro Ralph live at TPF and we've remoted in our great buddy, Kale Hernandez. Sir, how are you? Fantastic. Enjoying the Carl Weathers out here in sunny Phoenix, Arizona. It's a serious FOMO that you're not here. I know, man. It's really fun. You've been to this show before though, right? Well, he's set up this show a million times. Yeah. Yeah, this show... It's great. It's massive. And I feel like it's carpeted, Kael. It's awesome because there's carpet. Let's start like old men right off the bat and talk about the carpet. Oh, we're dinosaurs, so you got to start off with the dinosaurs. Oh, I just read that comment the other day about the dinosaur. No, I don't read comments. See, he's so much better than us, ladies and gentlemen. It didn't bother me. I just thought it was funny, actually, but it was funny. All right. Let's get this show kicked off. Let's get this show kicked off. Again, Cale Hernandez is remote, live from the electric bat, and well, live from his house, actually. Yep, studio. And, uh, let's go! Okay, notes. You wanna start with American Pinball? Uh, sure. Let's start with American Pinball. Alright. We have literally met everyone at American Pinball, Ralph. Yeah. We're the whole new crew. We met every one of them. Cale, we met everyone, right? Mm-hmm. They can't be nicer. Yeah, and they're excited. They're actually, you can tell there's a different energy over there now. They're pumped up. They're pumped up to have Nick Neitzel. They're pumped up to have Rob over at Electric Playground. The new owner seems really engaged and he was, he's been just in the booth talking to everybody, trying to gather feedback the whole time. Yeah. They seem pretty energized over there. So Brian came up to us, Cal. You'll appreciate this. And he goes, these are the guys that forced me to launch, to announce, what did he say? These are the guys that, uh, he said we leaked, leaked our first game. And then of course, so see, in, in true fashion, Taylor, you got out, you got off scot-free. Like, you'd never, it's not even you, like, even though it is you, but you know what I mean? Yeah, I don't know, I don't know what you're talking about, but yeah. It's just, whatever. No, oh, here we are. We got MN Retro Gamer. I had, I had it off. I'm so sorry, guys. Yeah, Janine's in there. Janine is here! Hi guys, everyone is here. So they've just been so lovely, Cal. And they gave us a couple of info, right? Yeah, they gave us some info. Little insider stuff, right? Yeah, I think so. What can we talk about? Well, before that, unless you've heard anything about He-Man, somebody in the chat's asking about He-Man, and I actually have some inside knowledge on this. Okay. All right. American never actually had the license for He-Man. David Fix got Christopher Franchi to do a mock-up in order to land the license, but it never actually happened. Ah. I see. Okay, that makes much sense. This is why two-thirds of the round table is just not enough, ladies and gentlemen. Yeah. It's a dull thing. We need them all. Yeah, so now bring us up to date. You hung out with them. What have you heard? What's going on? What else is coming down? Yeah, so we saw the Houdini with the new artwork that Franchi did. The artwork that's on display here is not the final. They're going to start printing the artwork on the cabinets, I guess, and then laminating over that, kind of similar to what Spooky's doing. Interesting. Yeah, so that's not like this on this model that's on the floor, but it looks really nice. The artwork that Franchi did, of course, because he's always kicking ass at artwork, but it looks really, really nice. It's obviously the same game, but I don't know if they were kind of saying they already sold them through. So their 100 are probably already sold through to distributors, which is good. Which is great for them. Yeah, so their first game out the chute, they got all the orders, which is good. You know, you could just see the positivity, Kale, from the team. Yeah, there's momentum. You know, they're just excited to make shit happen, right? And with Nites Hole, you know, we spent a lot of time with Robin and Alec at the bar. That was a really funny, honestly, Kale, everyone was like heavily drinking at the bar and it was pretty fun. But Rob is like super pumped up about it. But we did find out though. So Rob and Nick are 100% full-time American Pinball. So it's kind of on Alex's shoulders now and a couple of the people that work at Electric Playground. It's not like Rob isn't a part of Electric Playground, but he's 100% allocating his time right now to American Pinball. We did find that out. Hey, I'm just trying to get a clarification in the chat. They're saying Franchi did not do the artwork. Brad did it? No, that's wrong. My next topic was going to be, we met Franchi. I apologize to Franchi. We'll talk about that in a second. Yeah, we got it. We'll give you some good info on that in a second. But we immediately said the artwork on Houdini looks great. How long did it take you? And he's like, I don't know, a couple weeks, a month. He said he just whipped it up. He just whipped it up. Yeah, he's good like that. Yeah. So he did. And also we got some insider too. While we were talking, I think you asked, Jamie's like, hey, so it's cool for you to work on other projects. And that was a neat friend. That was neat what Franchise said. Go ahead. And then Bug and Luke were there and they're like, yeah, yeah, of course, like he could, he can work on other things if he, if he wants to. But it was, it was, you know. No, what he said was, I don't mind those guys at American Pinball. Remember what he said? That's what he said. Yeah. Sorry. He goes, he goes, who are you going to work with? And he said, American Pinball. And he's like, I don't mind those guys. He can do it. Yeah. So, real quick on the Franchise, Ralph dragged me over, Cal. Well, actually, this is really funny, Cale. So this was this is us being like not aware of the situation. So we're walking into the booth. Franchi's on the other side and they're setting up all the Beetlejuices. And there's a guy like, hey, we're cutting straps for cutting straps. And all of a sudden we're getting hit with straps as we go up to talk to Franchi. We're in the middle of everything, Cale. Like we probably shouldn't have. We weren't really supposed to be on the floor, to be honest with you. We were big idiots at that moment. So anyway, good conversation with Christopher Franchi. He is going to come on the podcast, a very special podcast with Christopher Franchi. They actually invited us to dinner tonight. So yeah, we can't go because we can't go. But thank you for the invite. That was nice. It is very well. Yeah. So we're doing something. Yeah, yeah. We're going to do it. The other bit of info that I think we can talk about American real quick while we're on there. What? was that well robin told us should we say that about they were robin and what party he's talking about robin and nick were doing their own machine kale uh-huh okay yeah i don't know if we're supposed to say that oh really yeah i don't think so actually but i think it's too late uh so robin and kale were doing their whole machine like whispered it to me first or something maybe And American loved it so much, they basically said, come. Yeah. And that was one of the, the, uh, but they did say when we were talking to them that, that they're like, we have full faith in Nick. We gave him all the Kings, keys to the kingdom. Like Nick is going to be able to run with this game and get all the resources he needs to, to do what he needs to do. And, uh, they seem really excited. They're like, you guys are going to love it. So I don't know. They didn't, he didn't tell us what it I'm not sure if you're familiar with the show, but I'm sure you know what it is. But Nick, what they did tell us about Circus Voltaire, we cornered Brian and John Swartz, who's new member on the board, this morning. And they did tell us, Cale, that Circus Voltaire, they announced it because of us quickly. And they are also going to be doing, updating some code. Yeah. It's gonna have a, you're gonna have two rule sets. You're gonna, and I did give them some feedback on this, but we'll get to that in a second. So it's gonna have the original code, and then they're gonna have new code that's updated. And you can choose to play either game. Now, one thing he said, now this isn't, he didn't commit this, but I said to him, well, it would be nice, like from a home, from a home buyer perspective, if on the main menu, I could select which one I wanted and not have to go into the service menu. And he's, he said they have some ideas around like an operator Jeff Sarwinski with formerly CDCS Mill manera. So there you go. That sounds that's some good new info for you, Kal. But the reimagined is basically like there's going to be a new rule set, but you can still play the original rule set. Okay, so my take away from this is there's going to see a Tony Hawk pro skater's pinball machine. I know. How great would that be? It would be awesome if it was that. They're redoing all of the animations on a modern LCD in the back. So the LCD will be where the DMD would have been, and it's going to be all modern. Like they're going to redo all those animations and stuff. That's pretty cool, right? Yeah, I think that's cool. He didn't say, though, if the... This is one thing we didn't ask him. If when you're running the original code, if it's just emulating the old DMD. I wouldn't have asked him that. Yeah, that would have been a good question, but I wasn't... We blew that one. Cale, we were beat when we were talking to him. We were done this morning. This guy's got me introduced to taking naps now. Life is good right now. Yeah. No, it was good. It was good to talk to them. And I wish them nothing but the best of luck. I know that's my phrase all the time. You know, good luck. But I do think, Cale, that they're on the right path of the mistakes of the past, except the AI gate. Oh, there's one other thing. Actually, there's one other thing. So, Cale, we were talking a lot about their flippers. They're redoing their... they realized their flippers kind of fade and they're not as strong. So they're doing more than just adding a higher, bigger capacitors. He was going into the technical details, but he said, we're absolutely addressing the flippers. So you're not going to have fade over time. They're going to feel strong and snappy. So that's something they're going to do moving forward with Circus Voltaire and then the rest of the games. So, we're now joined by Donnie from Don's Pinball Podcast. Joined in the loins. Hello sirs. How you doing? What's going on? Can you hear Kale Hernandez? Hey, what's up? Absolute. Yeah. I love it. Everybody can hear me. So, how are you? We've got to hang out with you. You brought the whole family. The whole fam's here, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, they're putting them to work. The wife is working at the Spooky booth, man. Did you know that? His wife is now working for Spooky doing some side jobs. I've been listening to the, uh, him and Sterling. Oh. Oh. There's a listener. He's a listener. By the way, Cal, I hooked you up. Sir, expect an IM from Sterling very soon. He wants to book you. Oh, we're going to do something? Yeah. He wants to book you big time on the podcast. You are the best manager, I tell you. I'm a recruiter. I bring people together. That's what I do. I am a good recruiter. So, so we didn't get, now that we got Don here, I think we should get to some of the We're going to have a breakdown of a couple of the games because it'd be great to get all of the whole perspective of the panel, you think? Okay, so we just talked about American Pinball. Oh, yes. Let's go to your favorite, Multimorphic. Oh, yes. Yes. Hang on a second. Hey, before... We'll bring this out. I got a souvenir from Multimorphic here. Hey, can I ask one question about American and Circus Voltaire? You can ask whatever you want. Did you learn anything about the two different versions? And is one going to have different art? Or is it going to look like the 90s machine? We didn't talk about that. Did you get that, Don? We didn't talk about it. I didn't ask him those questions. No, I heard there's two machines. One will be a remaster with new art. But this is like third-hand knowledge. No, he did tell us that it's going to have different art on it. Okay. All right. I don't remember. So there'll be two. I don't know who's doing the art. I don't know if it's like Brian Allen art. I don't know what. But two trim levels. They're both under 10 grand. I think. Wow. Third hand knowledge. Well, and they'll both have, even though there's different art, they'll both have that ability to run the original code and then whatever they decide to do. He didn't go into details as to what they're going to do, but he said there'll be new modes and there'll be new things like that to do. Okay, so in the reimagined part, are they going to add like different things to the playfield? Are they going to be different mechs or? No, he said that the playfield is going to be the same, just different code and that you can switch between one and two. Okay. You can go in there. Oh yeah, you can go in there. Just scoot by this with the, we're kind of like borrowing the light from the rig. Erica needs to get in there. Okay, yeah. We can pause for Erica. I want to play this guy. This guy. This guy's the best instructor to have by your side when you're trying to learn a game. Dirty pinball. Dirty pinball, Jamie. No, he's calming. Oh, no. And oh my gosh, totally nailed the shit out of it. But like, oh, and the weird, that, I don't even know how we can explain it. I like how he's going to stop us and do this to us. We can explain that. I don't even know. That's why I stopped. Let's shake this off. Let's shake this off. Sorry, sorry. I was going to go over the place. Moving on from American Pinball, I feel most sorry for Hexa Pinball, Kale. Oh, I know. It's such a bummer, man. Stuck in customs. Their stuff is stuck in customs in Memphis. Did you hear that? I heard. I heard. What a blow, man. What a bummer, dude. Because you want to announce, look what Turner has done. We'll talk about Turner in a second. And here they are, they're excited, they fly everybody in, a bunch of Frenchmen running around and then they can't. Did you see though the defeat on his face? Did you see the defeat on his face? Like he was genuinely super sad. I know. People are so bummed. Hell. He just said to us, he's like, look, all we wanted to do, and it was like really, he got really serious and sad. He goes, look, all we wanted to do was showcase our machine here. We were looking forward to it for so long, and then this happens. He's like, I was going to drive to Memphis, but he said, I can't even, he's like, they won't even let me, it's stuck, like in this weird customs black hole. So he cannot get it. I'm so sad for them. I feel bad for them. Right? I feel bad for them. Let's, uh, so bad luck, sorry, Hexa, our bad, America. You have a wave flick. Sorry, man, that's so bummer. It's a bummer. Let's talk about Turner Pinball. Turner Pinball Yukon Yeti is the newest release, their third release, and they brought it. He brought it, Kale, at 10.30 Thursday night. He was wheeling it in when they were shutting it down, basically. So he just got it in in time. I jumped in the trailer and helped unload. We got those in here before they kicked us out. Nice. He's such a good dude. I'm gonna wait for my boy Chris Turner. Hell yeah, I'm gonna wait. We had 15 minutes. We did it in 12. Yeah, everyone was stopping him, right? And we were like, he's like, dude, I got 15 minutes. And he's panicking. And we're like, all right, well, good luck with that. And we just left. Jamie was like, oh, man. So good luck. He did. Good luck. So we think Chris is like, oh, my God. And but this guy, because he's a saint. Dude, that's awesome. Good dude, Don. So I want to play like Yeti. So now let's talk about the game because... Did you get to play it? Oh, I played the heck out of it. Yeah. Okay. I hit the ramp. I did the avalanche lock. I played multiplayer games where we saw the lock works with different people. Did you get the avalanche with the five locks? Yeah, it plays like glass. I didn't get the five locks, but I did see somebody else with a pinball skill do it. Yeah. I got the... I took the three lock. I took the easy lock. So it's kind of similar to Aerosmith Kale, right? Like where you could decide to start the multiball, sir. Yeah. Okay. And then it's not... Or Venom. Oh, right, yeah. There you go. So very similar. Um, it, it, if you like Whitewater, I think you're gonna like this game. Except, I don't know if my buddy liked it. Heh, he's putting me on the spot. I, I gotta admit, like, I... There's a moto. There's things for me, I'm happy that he made this game and everything, but the music and the callouts, just, there's nothing sucking me into wanting to play it. I'm not going to play it. That's the problem. Like, I don't, I just, I played it five times and I didn't love it. And I wouldn't, and I think this game, there's an audience for this game, but I'm not it. Like, I don't think I'm the audience for it. Do you think it'll sell out? I do, but I don't think it's for me. It's halfway there, at least sold through. So, yeah, it will, I think. I keep trying to get in there and say, like, what's the live count right now? And he won't reveal it to me, but... Kail comprises a large number of؛ chunks of The Game Okay, I'm in kale. I'm not saying I didn't like it. But for me, it's not a game for me. Like I I wasn't like super pumped up and having fun playing it. I was just kind of like lukewarm. What did you think about the audio on it? Because will the audio is the to me the biggest deficiency I tell I'm about pinball experiences. I want something that gives brings it brings it in all levels out like Evil Dead brings it the call outs the frickin music. The what's going on in the LCD? Yeah, this this is like the gameplay sort of brought it but everything around it didn't bring it at all. And so I feel like if there's any if he if he wanted to amp this game up, get like dirty pool to help him with the audio package and you could make this game like minty if you did that. We said that to Jeff. Yeah. Like, are you exclusive to barrels? And he's like, no. And so we're like, I mean, Chris Turner, let's go amp this shit up big time with it, with it, with some dirty audio package. It would be the game. And he may do that because it's he's on code point seven seven point seven. Yeah. So I love I love Chris. I love his quality is great. I just feel like there's an opportunity here before this thing starts shipping to sort We're like, make it great. That's my opinion. So, Chad just said that Kris told Kerry that the music and the callouts are super early and will be adjusted. Okay Okay I take it I take it You take it right I want to walk downstairs in my game room and sit in a little Yeti in the corner You do Just get giddy by myself and play the roller coaster ramp over and over again The roller coaster actually that roller coaster ramp is so cool So Kael, when you get to the upper playfield that like Vuck shoots it up, there's two shots and the one that's like on the outer shot, it's, you don't, you almost don't see it in the pictures, but it wraps around and goes back and then down the, the like ski slope thing. That is really actually pretty cool. I know, but I saw other people do it. I wonder if you didn't like it a bit. I saw other people do it. Okay, well, we'll wait until we get to Beetlejuice then, because if we're going to talk shit... Oh, okay. We're not done with it. We're not done with Turner yet. So good luck, Cal. Is the back going to get one? Yeah, we'll have one. All right. Yeah. From our friends at Starship Fantasy, they're hooking us up with one. So all the folks at the bat can come check it out. Well, there you go. You have a Yeti. Yeah. I'll be all that. I'll play it at the local arcade. Yeah. There we go. I'll contribute some money to the bat. Thank you. Where else are we? So I did want to talk about something that... Well, actually, no. Now that we have... We'll do that later because... Let's do Beetlejuice with Don is here because I don't want to take too much of his time. Yeah. So when are you getting yours at the bat? Should be next week, right? Mark has it. Yes. Should be next week. Mark is actually with you guys right now. Yeah, I was watching him on the tournament, you know, carpool is streaming the tournament and Mark is in it. Okay. Did he make it to the finals? He did. Oh, good. Well then hopefully he can deliver your Beetlejuice to the bat. I did talk to him the other day though, Kale. He's like, well, I kind of want to keep it for a week. So it might be a week from next week. Right. Yeah, we don't know. Yeah. Yeah. He keeps it at the house for a little bit and plays it. It's a good move. It's a good move. Uh, so we went over there, we got to play it. This is my- Well, first of all, let's talk about the booth. The booth is badass. Like there's a giant kale. There's the fricking Beetlejuice that's like, it hits the ceiling. It's so hot. They get that. That's the 20 foot tall inflatable Timu Beetlejuice. It wasn't a Timu, was it? That was at a factory for the midnight release. So when we all went over to the factory after the party to go play it, like you come around the corner and it was Beetlejuice at midnight in the fog backlit. It was amazing. It's touching the ceiling of the event center here. It's so big. Yeah, it doesn't even make it like the head is a little bit like tilted down. That's cool though. Yeah. You definitely know where they are. Like you'll, you can't miss the Beetlejuice. And to give you props, you announced on the, a lot of things happen on the round table. You announced the midnight launch on the round table that you were thinking about doing that. That's right. We're at Expo. You did. I lobbied hard for that. I kept coming to the guys and they're like, we're busy with the launch. We don't know what day it's going to be. How would this even work? I said, hold my, hold my Beetle beer. Just draft me. And we made it happen. And it was amazing and so much fun. And they loved it so much. We had so much Chipotle. We're thinking of doing it again. Good. Well, I think it should. Absolutely doing it. We should definitely do it again. Goonies, right? It's Goonies, right? It's going to be bigger next time. Good. All right. Speculation on the title. Triple shuffle, multiball, it's gonna be great. It's gonna be awesome. So, how many do you have set up here? How many show games? 19. And they're packed, Kale. Packed with people. People. The cool thing is though, because there's so many, like the lines do get long, but it's not, it moves. Like, you can actually play the game, I feel like, because there's so many. Just about everyone is two groups deep. Yeah. But it's still like reasonable, you know? Like you go to play Yeti and you're gonna be waiting for a good 45 minutes, probably maybe Daryl Dick Well, at least what I play... What adjustment did he make to it? No, because he changed something in the outlanes. Yeah, the outlane posts were all the way open, so he closed them. Okay. Or closed them. Or no, he opened them up. Yeah. Yeah, because they were playing really long. When we first got here and he turned them on, people were playing forever. And so he made it a little bit harder. But my only... I've only played Beetlejuice twice, okay? My complaint is I can't find the shots. It's a Jamie issue. I just can't find them. And... Well, and in your defense, when I first got it, Kael, I talked about this in my video on Beetlejuice. When I first got it, I had a hard time with the shots for like the first probably 10 to 15 games. And then it started like, oh my gosh, this is so fun. So I get that, though. Like, you need to, we just need to go play it more. You will get it. I just need, I've only played two, so it's not a fair assessment on a game that's so... But I whooped his ass, whooped his ass. We should close it. We should just close up the tent and then just go in there and rage for an hour. We should. It's free time, dude. You can do whatever you want. We're tied, by the way, right now. I know. We're tied 3-3, Kale. But it is absolutely beautiful. It is a stunning game. And it's going to look so good at the bat. It's going to print money for you. I'm sure it will. Yeah. I think people are going to love it. All right, Don. What else do you want to talk to us? I don't want to take you too long. Yeah, sure. How about the homebrew section? It's amazing, kicking off crazy. I recorded some callouts in this booth right here. So let's explain that to people, Donnie, because we haven't even talked about that. Explain what Dirty Pool's got going on. Dirty Pool has a booth right here and a script, and you can just come in, reserve a time, and record the callouts of this thing for the homebrew community. And they're going to put together a file, so if you're a homebrewer, you can draw from, and you have all these voices to pull from to put, you know, common callouts in there. Multiball, Player One, Player Two. You could use Retro Ralph, Don, or I'll be much lower on the list, Jamie Birchall from the JVS show to get your call outs. Oh man, I want to do that. What's really cool is I asked him, I said, this is what's awesome about Jeff is that he's doing this for free basically, and he does that for his career. So I mean, he's like, it's probably gonna take me a good eight hours to sift through all of it and create the package. But I just think it's It's cool that he's going to contribute his time for all these people that are building pinball. It's just an awesome thing. But he's got, like, you can't see it, but there's a little, like, sound booth that he constructed right to the left of us. And he just, he gives you the script, like Don said, you just read them off. It was actually pretty fun to do. Yeah, it took five minutes, Cal. You read, not even five, two, three minutes, you read them off. Bonus ball. Yeah, you know, whatever. Play a four. Yeah. Balls. Was that your voice? Tickle balls. I forget what I did. I don't have headphones on. I get inside my head and do radio voice when I have headphones. But the homebrew section is the biggest that TPS ever had. It's not quite as big as Expo, but it's going to get there, Kale. Yeah, it's pretty solid. I'm trying to think of what my favorite thing in the homebrew section probably is. Big Trouble in Little China is still a big hit. And then Top Gun, which released here. The Sound Package and some of the shots on Top Gun are awesome. The spinner sound on Top Gun is pretty badass actually. Did you guys hear what they're doing with Bootlegger? No. What that whole project is? No. That's a team that got together and they want to make a game that's going to be open source. And so they're going to have, I think Marco's going to carry the parts for it and you can get a flat pack cabinet to put together and you can build this at home and follow YouTube instruction videos step by step to recreate that game. juk4 Colin Hayles, Kl Soo, Oh, that's cool, dude. Yeah. That is very new. I'll probably do that when we do it. Absolutely. 100%. That's pretty cool. Jamie's like, I'm not putting shit together. I'm not putting anything together. I don't even want to put my kid's shit together. Well, I'll do it. I'll do it as a... I think it'll be fun. I'll totally do that. Yeah, of course. I'm in. I like to tinker, so, you know. Well, Don... And, Kale, real quick while we have Donnie here for another minute, we've tried to bridge the gap between Cengiz, Cengiz and my boy here, Ralph. It's not working yet. We're not there yet. No? We're not there? We're not there yet. We're just not there yet. So Ralph might have to fly to Denmark. Don't stop trying. I want to believe we're making some headway. You do? Yeah. Yeah. I think we're chipping away. But am I going to have to fly to Denmark to do it? Potentially. It depends on how it goes. I'll fly in the Netherlands. I'm going to go to the Netherlands and do a quick test seat. And don't take off the hull. I'm in Denmark, Ralph. He doesn't live in the Netherlands. It's going to take me some time. I'm working on it. I love you buddy, come back, come on man. Yeah, it's all gonna work out. Alright. Donnie, thank you. Donnie, you're the man. Of course. You're the best, you guys. It's always a pleasure, sir. Good seeing you, Don. Alright brother, thank you so much for this. I really appreciate it. Alright. Alright, that was fun. So, so the one I think with, I think since we didn't talk about this, I put it in the show notes, but I think it was really cool, Cale, how many people came up to us And just said how much they enjoy the round table. Like that's one of my favorite shows. It feels like three guys just hanging out shooting the shit about pinball. They said that a lot. Like a lot of that was a lot of people came and said that to us. Like, where's Kale? We got a lot of where's Kale? We got a lot of where's Kale. Where's Rachel? And then we got a lot of, you know what I love about the round table is just three dudes hanging out. So that was cool. That was so it's very appreciative of everyone who came up to us and thank you for you know watching and supporting the content for sure. Oh my god and my son's in the chat, Colin Burchill. Yeah he puts all the IKEA stuff together for me. Alright well so your son will put this pinball machine together. Yeah Colin you want to put a pinball machine together brother? You let us let me know. Let's go back to the notes here. So we can't talk. I told this story and so many times, Cale, that Ralph's upset with me. It's interesting, it's kind of hard to imagine it, right? Because it That's like a boxer. Can I just mute my headset so I don't have to hear it for the 700th time? Laser John, I'm walking down. Christopher Tranchi? Who's that? He's always in our chat. He's always in our chat. He's the best. But that's not Christopher Franchi. No, no. They're never seen in the same place at the same time. Okay. Well, thank you so much, Christopher Tranchi. And Janine Burcho is here. I don't think I've ever seen Ralph's hair before. Oh, yeah, I always wear a hat. The hair's kind of messy right now, but it's okay. Yeah, it's funny because it's kind of like you have an alter ego, you have the Garth Brooks, and then the Chris Gaines, which you're doing right now. You remember that one? I switch it up for people. It's awesome. So anyway, my hand is broken. It's broken. It's not broken. Yeah, we even had a nurse. There was a nurse at the Stern party. I brought her over to assess Jamie's hand and she's like, look, I've been a nurse forever and I've never had anybody come in that broke their hand from a handshake. It's not broken. It's just, it's just really badly bruised. So I'm going to get a sling. There's a first time for everything. So anyway, I think that looks broken. A guy shook my hand and crushed it in his meat paws and now I'm giving fist bumps the rest of my life. Never gonna shake a hand. It does look, in your defense, it does look pretty bad and he did come in, I thought he was just gonna suplex you or something, I wasn't sure what was going on. But now that Don's not here, I need to find those shots on Beetlejuice because it's frustrating me, Cale. Yeah, he was, he was, he was, I saw him, he was actually like kinda, like you were just pissed that you weren't hitting the shots. I'm just irritated with it. I can't find him. He'll get it. Um, okay, let's go, what do you want to talk about, Cale? Uh, I mean you guys, tell me what's going on out there. Um... You guys, you guys are on the scene. So what manufacturers have... the Stern booth is not run by Marco for the first time at TPF, run by Fun. Yeah, it's like a distributor or whatever. And those lines are huge to get your Pokemon. No achievements still, a little bummed at that. Yeah, there's been... I would say the... there's definitely like a constant flow of people in that Stern area. The only bummer about it is it's super tight, Kael, to the point where you feel like you're in sardines in a can. It's almost too... they don't space it out enough. But people seem to be enjoying Pokemon and I was talking to someone in line and we were talking about... I always call it Arctic Yeti. I don't know why I keep calling it that. He was calling it... what were you calling it? I called it Arctic Beaver. I've been calling it everything but what it actually is. I don't know why, but... Kevin. He was comparing, um, we were comparing that game to, to Pokemon. He was just saying, he's like, look, this game is just really fun for me. And he didn't have as much fun, but his, his fun factor was the same thing, issue I have. It was the music and the call-outs. He, he's like, I really was expecting something more. So hopefully that's an opportunity for Kris between now and when it's in people's homes or arcades to make that better. You know? We are joined by the one and only, bro. Do you even talk pinball formally? Yeah, it is officially formally, man. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Introduce yourself, sir. Yeah, I'm Kevin Manny, Buffalo Pinball. You might know me from that. Now I'm working with Multimorphic. Yeah, so. So congrats. Yeah, congrats. That's awesome. Congratulations. We got to talk to Jerry. I got to talk to you on the floor. And Jerry was relieved that they weren't launching a game. Just so he could kind of just enjoy the show. Yeah, he seemed like he's like, this is fun because I get to actually just watch people and play my games and just talk to everybody. Yeah, it's kind of wild because normally I don't come to TPF because they invite me down to do the streams and that's usually a couple weeks before TPF and I have a day job too so I can't like, okay, I'm going to Texas and then like two weeks later, yeah, I'm going back to Texas again to play more pinball. So I would come down, do the streams, not go to TPF so I never really knew like kind of what the vibe was down here for them. And, uh, yeah, so what they've been saying is that this is a more chill, like, everybody just come out, hang out, play the games, talk to everybody at the company and learn more about the P3. So, this is, it's great to have you here. What is your official role with Multimorphic and the P3 module? So, I don't think they ever gave me an official title, but I do communications and social media, media relations. That's what I do in my day job. We're all here to do something. We're here to do something. We're here to do something. I'm here to do something. I'm here to do something. I'm here to do something. So, you know, communications work, social media, all that. So, if you've been seeing, like, some of the content that's been coming up on the Multimorphic channels lately, we've been getting really good results with those. Super happy with that. And so, that's some of the work I've been doing, yeah. That is awesome. And so, Kale, at the booth, the Multimorphic booth, how many machines do you have set up? Thirteen, I think. Yeah. Yeah. It's a pretty good-sized booth. And it's spaced out nice. So, it's not all crowded in there. Kevin, what's up? Kevin, I have a question for you. As you know, Bro, Do You Even Talk Pinball has been one of my favorite podcasts, pinball podcasts, not just pinball podcasts, podcast period for years. And I was so upset when you disappeared and it looked like it was just going away and then bam they come back with Joe Cherovino. Yeah. Can you tell us is it going to continue with that duo or are there going to be other guest hosts? What's going on? Can you give us some insight? So yeah, if you haven't followed along, so I've been doing the podcast with Nick for like 10 plus years now. And you know, this was a new opportunity for me. You know, I put a lot of time and energy into Twitch and content creation like you guys Jason So all of these things I've been able to do and I know it takes a lot of work and time and energy and all that and I was like, you know, maybe it's time to try something new. And I had an opportunity with Multimorphic. I've been working there for with them for a number of years now. So I'm like, let me shift my energy to that. Yeah. And then I told Nick, I was like, it doesn't mean the podcast has to end this as much your show as it is mine, right? So, you know, if you want to have a guest host, you know, it doesn't have to be monthly anymore. So my understanding is Nick's going to do it quarterly, you know, a couple times a year, four or five, you know, a couple times a year. All of these guys are going to be on the show four or five times a year. And then he's going to he's planning on having rotating guests, but are rotating host co-host, I should say. But if somebody I guess if somebody lands and they're really popular and it works really well, then it could end up being Joe or somebody else. I guess we'll see. Are you auditioning? Yeah, is that? Yeah. Okay, I just want to take turns being on the podcast. Yeah, that'd be a blast. I'm good. I'm good. I did want to say I'm very honored to be on the roundtable because I heard you're not having special guests anymore. That's a bad topic. Jamie put his tip in his mouth. You know, it happens. It's all right. It's okay. No, lines have been good throughout the show. A lot of people getting to play Multimorphic. We're going to go over there tonight, I think, because there's a from midnight to one tonight is like the VIP experience. And I'm like an industry guy now. I get to do that stuff. I know. We can bring in badges too. Is this? I heard we needed something else, though. This gets us into that? I think this is all you need. Yeah, because someone was saying that I wasn't authorized. I was like, wait, I think the red badge gets me in. But I don't know. It might be like that VIP room you guys were looking for. Yeah, that. Yeah, that. Oh, we need to. We're trying to find this VIP room. We finally walked... Well, you have to think of the backstory. I kept feeding them like, hey, this is like to the media. It's probably going to be super cool. There might even be a game in there. It's food and craft services. I was, I was so, so they, the expectations were high that we were going to come to some Mecca room that was just going to be amazing. It was going I'm going to be the promised land is getting air conditioned with all the trees that we can possibly think of. And so we he had me do it. I was going down the hallway opening up every single door because we didn't know the name of it in a while. So we finally find it. Kale, I open the door. We rush in and it's just a super bright room, two tables and chairs and a pitcher of water. And that's it. That was all I was in there. It took us 30 minutes to find it. There was Chris Hansen in the corner. We did go into the tournament room. Did you go in the tournament room at all? I haven't. Where is the tournament room? Yeah, the VIP room. It's upstairs? It's upstairs. Yeah. The smell in this room? No. No. Is it that bad? Yeah it terrible because it 7 degrees When we walked in everyone looked at us like please save us Please save me I need to get out of here Like body odor is a problem Now tell me, is it BO or is it flatulence? Or a mix? BO. Why not both? It could be. I think the air conditioner in this tournament room is broken. They had the air conditioner fans. They had floor fans, but they weren't even really working. We're not in there, okay? And pinball people are not the... Come on guys and girls. Just put on the deodorant. I don't even know if it's a deodorant issue. It's so hot. Like I don't think I would smell very good either if I was up there for six hours in like a humid hot room. It's also like 90 degrees in Texas right now. It's a cheap hot floor where it was like 20 degrees when I left. I was like, what am I getting myself into here? It's great. Welcome to the sun. Yeah, exactly. But it's pumped in there. Do you think it might be a, do you think, for competitive pinball, do you think it might be a tactic? Because you know, like, at the gym I train at, some of the wrestlers, when they have competitions, they won't, they won't shower for like a week before the competition. Maybe it's a tactic. Could be. I don't know. I don't know. Ask anybody, Mark, if that was his move or... Yeah. But anyway, the tournament, what do you think about the show? I mean, is this your first CPF? No, I came 2019, I think I was here. Okay. I was trying to remember what the new games were that year. Anyways, it's been a while. Yeah. Yeah. But it's time to come back and I'm happy to be back. It's always such a good show. It's big, but it feels more like a fan show than an industry show. So that's what I was trying to say. Justin It's just, I don't know, the whole vibe of it is completely different. And I love that it's friggin' carpeted. Because in Expo, I'm like trashed. In 30 minutes, my feet hurt. So... Yeah, same. It helps, like, keep the noise level down a little bit. Yeah, it does. That's the point. Nothing reverberates all over the place. Like, it's a little bit more reasonable. Yeah. So, no, it's a cool show. I really dig it. But... So, how about you guys? You've both been, right? This is my first one. Oh, first one. Yeah, I'm really enjoying it. 2019 was my first. Okay. And I've been at every show, well, the 2020 got canceled and then, uh, so I've been to every show since. Nice. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's a great show. Highly recommend it if you haven't come. Yeah. And there's still time. I mean, there's time tomorrow. I don't know what we're doing tomorrow. Just effing her off. But, uh, today I'm, I'm dragging big time. Oh yeah. I got like, like five hours of sleep last night. I don't know if I got that. I got a nap and now Kevin. Dude. Yeah. Same. I love a good nap. Oh, I took it two hours. I'm coming home as a different man. My wife's going to be like, what are you doing? I'm like, I'm napping. This is what I do now. I got him napping. You gave me training. You gave me nap training. That's great. We don't want to hold you. Good power nap. I appreciate you guys. I want to say something real quick though about like how's the reception been? Because Portal's been around for a little while, but how is it? I know this code's been updated a couple of times. How's it going over there? Yeah, it's great. I think Portal's really changed perceptions about the P3, you know, with that extended module down. Everybody's always like, you know, the screen, all the shots are so far away. Even though, you know, when you look at it, I think it's that straight line across the back is like a visual, like, people can't see past that. It's kind of like an optical illusion a little bit. But the walls and scoops are kind of like where most shots are on a traditional pinball machine. But bringing stuff down even closer, people are like, oh, wow, it's like, all right, this is next level, right? I can't wait to see what's coming next. There is cool stuff coming next. I've seen it. Okay. Oh, you've seen it? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. I can't tell you, but Dungeon Crawler Carl, is that you guys, you doing that one? I mean, it's not going to tell you, man. I heard it was made of shark, actually. I love how he just said, I can't say anything, and then you're like, at least you went for it. You went for it. I mean, go for it. You're doing the podcast, you got to ask the questions. I dropped that nugget out there for you, and you fell right for it. So, can I ask, is this an update to the platform or is the platform staying the same? I can't talk anything about it. Okay. Okay. Just stay tuned. Cool stuff's coming. Okay, stay tuned. Cool. It works. Is it like soonish or...? I love this, man. If I told you guys anything, I wouldn't be working with multi-barber companies. You're doing a good job. That's why you're not working. That's right. That's why you're not working. That's why NDAs work. You know, you can't fault us for trying, bro. Well, it's honestly like, you can't spoil that initial hype, you know? It's good that, you know, speculation, you know, built up excitement and stuff too, but like, we saw stuff where games got launched and it took forever for them to come out, and it's like, you need that real excitement hype and you don't want to spoil that. No, I get that. I'm not going to do that to those guys. I guess I'm one of those guys now, so. Appreciate that. Well, you're the best. Thank you for stopping in. I appreciate the invite and, uh, Cale, you know, if you want to co-host with Nick, I'll let you know. Okay, thanks. Alright, guys. Thanks, Kevin. No, seriously, this is absolutely one of my favorite shows, honestly, and I have been a fanboy of yours for a long time, so the fact that you know my name is fucking awesome. And ladies and gentlemen, look at this. See you guys. God bless you. Thanks, brother. Alright. Jamie, it's happening. What's that? I'm going to do a show with Nick. I know. Dude, you're going to dump us? You're going to have, it's the most unhinged pinball podcast you've ever seen in your life. You and Nick would be a disaster together. You'd be like, that's some shit. Oh man. That'd be fire. That's awesome. That is awesome. All right, let's go back to the notes. I think that's our last guest. We might have Carrie Hardy might come in. Where's Emoto? I don't know. All right, call, call Kerry. I'm not going to call him. If he comes, he comes. Yeah, if he comes, it's cool. All right, so what, um, what do we got? We did American Pinball. Mm hmm. Broke my hand. We did the VIP. You can, you can Yeti or whatever the hell you were calling it. Beaver. Yeah, Arctic Beaver. Bobby Order, Tournament Room. All right, the Stern Army Party. That was pretty fun. Yeah, the Stern Army Party was good. We just, you know, kind of, we just kind of hung out and talked and chilled. Where was it? It's just at the bar, like that bar in the hotel. Oh, okay. Yeah, so I mean, it's not like, it was fine in the bar, you know. What do you think about this hotel itself? The hotel's kind of a piece of shit. I mean... It's kind of a piece of shit, Cal. Yeah, it's a shitty hotel, but, um, like it's weathered, you know, weathered. I like how the people that work there stop behind you as you're saying that. What a shit hotel this is. Oh no! They're like, what the hell? So I'm staying at the hotel across the way, which is the Hyatt Regency. It's got a bougie over there. Like it feels like you're going to this bougie place now. Yeah. But every time I drop his ass off, I'm pissed off. So, so the chat is asking about barrels. Do they have a booth? Do they bring Winchester? What's what's going on? The barrel set up, go for it. Barrels brought two Winchesters, two Dunes, two Labyrinths. But there's a VIP room. A real VIP room. And so they're calling it the quiet room. Yeah, it's it's killer, dude, because they got all the games cranked up audio. So you can really you can really like focus on them. I got all of them updated with the latest audio packages. It sounds awesome. So Brian Savage and some of the line workers brought us in there. Well, when we went in, it was super sweet because no one... I don't know if it was open yet, because it was only like us and them, right? There was no one in there yet. So it was kind of sweet. We had a little bit of like a private time with Winchester and Dune and Labyrinth, which we played a little bit. And we went out to dinner with Travis Travis Moseman. That was awesome, actually. That was great. And Travis, we were trying to pull as much information from Travis too. He's a vault. He wouldn't give us anything. Designer of Dune. But the room itself is really cool because you can hear Jeff Dodson's brilliance. Yeah, it totally interfaces the audio. People here are not going to be able to experience that unless they can get into this room. It's not just for VIPs, not that we're VIPs, it's really for barrels owners. Hey bro, camera! But I will say this though, those games, Kael, I think at a bar people would enjoy them. But if you're at a home, Dune is like, Dune went from something that I didn't care at all about to it's freaking amazing now. Like it is really really solid, like the gameplay is awesome, and it's so deep. Jeff was going through the rules with us on that game. I retained like maybe 10% of what he was saying, but he was doing surge level, almost like surge level analysis on it. But that game's fun, man. Like it's a cool game. And the lighting, the lighting and the sound and all the orchestration of that game is it's like top notch and that and Winchester. So I'm excited to see what they do next. And I hope whatever they do will be something that isn't so limited run. So maybe I could buy it. But, uh... Right. You know, Winchester is, is... Winchester's so fucking good, dude. I think if you were to ask us what our favorite game is that we played in here, Winchester's definitely up there. For me, it's Winchester all day long. It's so good. You know, it, it, and it, the code's gotten even better. Mhm. And it's shooting really great, um, especially in that room because it's not getting to play. Yeah. There's no flipper. The turntable thing is awesome. The magnet that stops the ball where the, where the, um, I always forget the name of that technology. It's old school technology. The thing that, uh, Pepper's Ghost. Yeah, where the Pepper's Ghost thing happens and then it like the magnet like sucks the ball in and then there's this like So cool. Yeah, and the spider web. Yeah, it's so damn cool. It looks like it, you know, just like in the old like Space Invaders and all those games that use that Pepper's Ghost effect. It looks so freaking badass. I don't know that game. I can't. I really wish they would consider making more of them, but I know they're not going to. That's one I just want to own. I want to own it so bad. And it's you know, you don't come across games. Hey, here he is. There he is. Literally. We were literally giving a virtual. See, we're talking about you. Did someone say Winchester? We were giving a virtual DJ to Winchester. My ears were ringing. Side of Kale. Hi, Kale. Hey, what's up, Jeff? Why do you look like you're not in Texas? Because it's remote. Because I'm not. I'm in Arizona. We were just giving you props. First of all, thank you for taking us to that VIP room. Yeah, that was awesome. It's not really just for VIPs and stuff. It's just in order to keep it from being... We felt really special. I mean, it was, it was, honestly, it was named the Retro Ralph and Baby S. No, thank you. So we had to rename it. No, it's just, we didn't want it to be overly congested. So it was just like when people showed interest in the game, we'd be like, hey, well, if you really want to check it out, it's over there. That's over there. We were just saying that it's just one of our favorite games that we played here at the show again. Thank you. Are you saying that because I said that here? No, no. We just said it. Go back and rewind. I'll have to rewind it. What time code are we at? My voice is shot. Yeah, we are actually. Are we? We're not even an hour in yet. So if you just joined us, Jeff Dodson, Dirty Pool Pinball joining us here. Set up a sound booth and we talked about that in detail with Don from Don's Pinball Park, I guess. Oh, cool. And we gave you total props of what you're doing for the homebrew community with your free time and thank you so much, dude. Yeah, it's awesome. For that. I mean, they killed it just like Expo. There's so many creative games here. I really like the racing run. I think it's called Turbo Time. Definitely worth checking out. I did a few interviews for him but just like the games don't have call outs and you can't just like magically make it happen. Yeah. That's what this is for. Some people here have really great radio voices. Some people have voiceover experience. There's going to be some awesome callouts. And then there's some, there's just like a little girl that wanted to do it. Like we have a whole mashup. Yeah. It's pretty cool. You're going to have a ton to pull from. You said it was like four hours or? Yeah. I mean, we had over 55, 60 people that did it. You know, callout sheets, about 30, 40 callouts plus extra time if they wanted to. So it's yeah. Chat is asking, what was your feeling on UConn Yeti? I haven't played it yet. I keep getting in line and then I keep meeting the line. It's only the two games. It looks amazing. I like Whitewater. I think this looks like a more developed version of Whitewater. I talked to Nordman about it. He's like the nicest guy. And he's just like such a, I don't know, man, he's like grandfather pinball kind of vibes, you know? It's just, it's, I can't wait. I'm going to go get in line again after this. I think maybe tonight, the later hours, we'll probably be able to play it a lot easier, right? There'll be less people in here, so maybe we'll be able to play more. I want to get more time on it personally, but... I do too, but... Have either of you played it? I played it. We both played it twice. What's the vibe? It needs call-outs from a guy named Jeff Dodds. Yeah, my thing, my summary of it... Boy, you've spent it once from the boat. Yeah, my summary of it is it's like incomplete to me because I want it to be this all-encompassing experience, and I feel like the gameplay is cool, But the other stuff isn't like bringing it all together. Yeah. And if it did, I feel like it could go from a good game to a great game. So that's kind of my... That's fair. That's a fair assessment. I think so. That's how I actually... That's 100% how I feel. Well, I don't... I'm not calling you a liar. I believe you. No, no, I know. I'm just... I mean, it's nice that you appreciate audio so much that it can be not good and impede the experience. I think that shows how important audio is. 100%. Wow. I think Chris is really open to feedback. Chrishan We're going to do it tonight at 10 o'clock. But it's a really cool feature on which game? On all of them, right? Yeah, it is on all of them. I think we did it on Labyrinth yesterday. I think it'll probably be on Labyrinth just because it's the most out of the booth game. It's the easiest to make a line on. All right, Kale, any questions for Jeff from Tempe? When are you coming to Arizona? Dude, I would love to. I've never been to the back. I've never been to the back. That's back from Memphis. Yeah, you got to guys. We'll roll out the red carpet. I don't want to wreck it. I want, I want, I don't want to carp, I want mud. We'll roll out some mud. We'll roll some mud out. Let me tell you, and I, and I say this all the time, ladies and gentlemen. First of all, if you want to go on the cheap, go in August, okay? It's cheap as hell. Southwest flies there for 200 bucks a closet. And your, your place, that little place you rented was pretty, it was like, it was weird, Jeff. Yeah. They, they Airbnb'd an apartment, which I thought was weird, because I didn't even know you could Airbnb an apartment. I don't know if that's, but you can apparently. The Valley Company, Subsidiary of Walter Kidde & Co., Inc., Mirco Playfields, Tim Tim Kitzrow, Barry Oursler. God, Tucson's a different story. That'll be, it could be 10 to 20 degrees difference. Is it a worse story or a better story? Oh, Tucson's way cooler than Phoenix. Yeah, it's a worse story. Oh, really? Yeah. The heat just kind of sits in the valley. It's a bummer. Anyway, uh, Fowls is killing it, and you gotta go to the bat though, seriously, in all seriousness. Yeah. Take the fam, take them down, they'll show you a great time, and you gotta come, what I do, ladies and gentlemen, is I try to come in on a Saturday and catch the last Sunday of every month is Chewy's tournament. Am I right? Yep. Last Sunday. Last Sunday. So what you do is you fly in on a Saturday, play Chewy's on a Sunday, and then play if you can get a spot because they're running, I mean, 120 to 120 plus people. Wow, that's a big tournament. Hey there, you're on The Valley, it's the last play day of the season. Yeah it's a pretty solid day. It's all on match play? Every week. Yeah, the match play. Every week they do this. Wow, that's impressive. You gotta come. And Rachel and I play in the tournament. I still don't know how you guys work that all out, but you do. Somehow make it happen. He doesn't play on Tuesdays cause he streams it. People from our league have taken trips to Phoenix just to go to the bat. It's awesome. I'm not even joking. There was no other objective in Phoenix other than to go to the bat. Yeah, I didn't do anything else but hang out with them. We had a blast. And if you come down, we're going to do the same thing. Well, I'll hang out. Have a good time. Just hit me up, because I might go with you. Okay. All right. I also have something to say with them. That would be amazing. He has a cat. I'm a lurch cat. So no, get an Airbnb. We'll get an Airbnb. We don't want to bother him. We'll just get an Airbnb right in Tempe, and they have Waymo. It's a great city. Wait, did you ride in a Waymo? They're all over LA, and I'm just like, I want to. We were the test market for it, so they've been around for a while. They're fine, they're safe, I've gone into them a couple of times. It's Johnny Cab in real life. That went down too quick. Except without that part. It works out good. It works out great. It works good. Well, congrats on barrels. I can't wait to see what's next from you guys. You're killing it. Obviously, you can't even buy a Dune or a Winchester now. Yeah, which sucks, but you know. How are we supposed to know how many people want to buy a game? No, I, you know, we talked to Brian a lot about the launch of Dune and the resurgence that it had, you know, especially once you joined the organization. And it's a great machine. I got to play it in that room and you could really see the lights. What was the gentleman that you brought in there? You were talking about Trent and Eric who are responsible for doing all of the lighting effects and animations for it. Yeah. They have, you know, the HAL lighting system. David and Brian talked about it on the seminar that they were frustrated with, you know, how dark Labyrinth was and that there was feedback about how the game was a little dark. And they developed the HAL lighting system like a month before Dune was released. Wow. And part of it was the necessity of having like a day-night cycle. Yeah. And then that went in and then Trent and Eric started making animations utilizing the system and you know after Winchester came out and then we went back and obviously revisited Dune I think that we really found our legs and really developed that system and it's it's awesome it's really cool. You were pointing out things to us like obviously I've seen people play it and I played a bit myself but there's just so many cool like orchestrated moments that go with what's going on in the game with the lighting the lighting is like kind of next level lighting it's pretty freaking awesome. It really is yeah they're great they did a killer job. Well, awesome. Thank you, dude. Dude, thanks for having me on. Oh, man. Thank you, Jeff. You're the best, dude. You're the absolute best. Follow Dirty Pool Pinball on Twitch on all the socials and then hit them up for a t They sell They sell my t The t just I gotta pay to get to the bat Like how am I gonna get down God bless you dude Thank you Taylor Appreciate it Thank you, Jeff. Bye, Kale. I'm coming for you. All right, let's do it. Get that guest room ready. Thank you, brother. That was fun. Yeah, that was fun. How we doing on... We're an hour in. What do you think, Kale? We're done or we keep going? We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We're done. We keep going. We haven't really chatted much. We've been ignoring the shit out of the chat. Can you guys take it from the top? There's Serge, ladies and gentlemen, Serge. Ladies and gentlemen, Serge. In the house. He's the best. I did have someone actually, when we were in the Beetlejuice tent, Cale, there was a guy that came up to me and his name is escaping me, but he said he's personal friends with you and Rachel. Frontline I'm a fan of yours, so I didn't, wasn't paying attention. Was it, was it Doug? I think it, well, he works in technology. Does Doug work in technology? Do you know? Everybody out here works in technology. That name does sound familiar. Maybe it was Doug. I don't know. Yeah, it was bad of me. I, it was when we first, we first got back from taking naps and I wasn't fully awake yet. So I caught some of it. That is the one thing about this show, man. I loved it. 홍 pensar I'm a fan of the show, and I love that, but it just, after a while, it does get tiring on you because you're talking so much. And I have, I was telling Jamie, I have a bit of like a ceiling of my socialization. Because I am, I am very extroverted person, but there's a point of like, I start tipping over and I gotta go. Like it just stops, I can't do it anymore. But I do very much appreciate all the comments and people coming up. Yeah, they've been lovely, man. Kale, they've been lovely. I'm a fan of the guys. They've been cool as hell. Yeah. They've been, they've been, they've been really good. What's up Ricardo? That's the dude that broke my hand. Are you kidding me? It is. He gets excited. He got excited. That's what Ricardo's all about. Yeah. He's a good dude. Did, did he bring his home brew? He did. Okay. No. No. No he did. His home brew is coming to America. He's bringing it to Expo. He's bringing it to Expo. Sorry. He did not bring it here. Because he's doing some updates and stuff. Yeah. Ralph, what's up with the dragon? I'm here, the chat wants to know about the dragon. You know, I don't understand why the dragon actually. It looks very ninja eclipse-ish. I don't know. Have you heard, I have not heard if there's a backstory on the dragon at all. It doesn't make any sense why there's a dragon here, but there's a giant, there's a big dragon. The animatronic dragon is freaking ridiculously cool though. It's giant. You know what I have to say? What? Why not? Yeah, why not? You know what I mean? Dragons are fucking cool. You know what it made me think of the moment I looked at it though? I was like we need a What's up Matthew? We need, we need a Mortal Kombat pinball machine. I would play the shit out of a Mortal Kombat pinball machine. I'd, that would be awesome. Who have we missed? Jersey Jack? We haven't talked about Jersey Jack. Yeah, I mean so Jersey Jack's obviously here with, they got some avatars, they got, I I don't know if I saw a bunch of Harry Potter, a bunch of GNRs. They actually, I was surprised, they have some Harry Potter collector's editions. I was surprised that they brought the nice one models here, but there's a bunch of the nicer ones here. They got some wizards. I didn't see an arcade on the floor, but there might be one. We cornered Jack about you. Oh yeah. Yeah. I asked Jack, I was like, hey, are you still serious about that offer to get, get Kale and Rachel a Harry Potter? He's like, yeah, I'm really serious about it. I want to, Kale, would you do it? I really want to see how it will do there. I'm so curious. Yeah, absolutely. Okay, I'll talk to him again, because I think, I don't know what the like, he didn't contact you? Not that I know of, no. All right, I'll like call him after this. Yeah, work it out. Next week. Yeah, because I want you guys to, I'm just so curious, number one, will it be reliable at your location? And number two, how will it be received? And I like his offer that he's saying, you guys can just keep whatever it makes, which is cool. Yeah. So yeah, we'll figure it out. We'll figure it out. If not, then I'll put mine there. Has there been a panel yet? A Jersey Jack panel? Yeah. So we went to the Jersey Jack panel. So Jack didn't say, save your money for signing. No, this is what's so damn funny. We went to eat this pork chop at Perry's. Famous pork chop. Dude, pork chop. Freaking out of control. I'm starving. Hello, Dan Porkchop is like it's the lunch freaking pork $25 porkchop like a brick dude and it is good and oh my gosh. My lens has to need it, so don't worry I was okay, I know you were worried Kale. But we walk out and in walks Steve Ritchie and Jack and he stops us and of course because Ralph knows them very well We're boys now. And your boys. And I said, hey, Jack, do me one favor. At the seminar tomorrow, you have to say, don't spend another dime. Yes. No. And that's a he should do that should be his thing now. Don't spend another dime. Because it doesn't matter. We all know it's Sonic. We all know it's Steve Ritchie. This this should be his thing. You know, you'll laugh at this. I was gonna do this, but someone else did it. So there's a guy here, there's actually a couple of vendors here selling like retro gaming type stuff, and there's a guy that has like a bunch of plush Sonics, and I was like, hey, Kale, or not even Kale, hey Jamie, it'd be cool if I just sat in the front row with the Sonic like right in my lap, and someone else did it. Like someone else had like put the little Sonic thing right there. I don't know, right in the front. We didn't stay for the whole session, so I don't know if they even like mentioned it or... Who's streaming those, Kale? Is it Pinball News? Streaming what? Oh, uh... Oh, the seminars. It's gotta be them. I can't remember. Pinball News. It's pretty much... I haven't watched it. Yeah, I've only read about it. Okay. So, Pinball News, check them out. Yeah. But they did like, they were just doing like a deep dive on, it's basically... On Harry Potter. Basically, if you watched my featurette, it was basically that. Like they were talking about how they developed the stair mechanism and how many, it's 13 different ball paths and all that stuff. Like they were, it was cool. For someone that doesn't know all the background story, it was basically that. It was the development of Harry Potter. We left after like 10 minutes, I think. We weren't there for that long. Now, I still wanted to run the Stern Army Party. Hey, buddy. You want to get in? We're live. What's happening? Well, we're using your... Thank you, Jordan. Ladies and gentlemen, Jordan from Fliptronic. And he has been streaming all of the... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's Cal, say hi. Hey, what's happening? Get on the mic. Yeah, get on the mic. Hey, what's up, Jordan? I need to get back in like 30 minutes. We're done in 15. Okay, perfect. We're done in 15. By the way, he forced me at gunpoint to use this. That's fine. Okay. I said Jordan wouldn't give a shit, and I'm right, right? Yeah. See? Okay, see, good. All right, thank you. Ladies and gentlemen, Jordan from Fliptronic. Hello. What you need to do is go and check out their Twitch stream because they've been streaming on Marco using your rig all the homebrews. And Ralph and I were asked nicely, thank you, Omoto, and thank you, Erica, from Erica's Pinball Journey are really showcasing all these homebrews. And Manu was the... What's Manu from? What channel is Manu from? Mystery, mystery, and yeah, mystery. That's right. So he, he like moderated. He put his tail laughing at you. He was laughing at me. Kale is laughing at me. That's, that's too much to say, yeah. Did you, did you see it, Kale? Like, it was when I played head to head on, uh, what was it? I forget the games. We played head to head on, uh, Big Trouble in London, and he kicked my ass. Oh, okay. Kinda kicking my ass a lot. I've been playing pretty good. So. The first two games you played trashed me. I'm an annihilating fate. It was crazy, dude. I was all over the place. Anyway, thank you for letting us use your rig. Yeah, we appreciate it. Have fun. Say hello to Kale. Say hi to Kale. Hi, Kale. What's up, brother? Thanks, Jordan. Okay. Well, I like all these nice people stopping by. We keep having all these guests. It's kind of cool. It is kind of cool. In the chat, they're saying American announced they're remaking Circus Voltaire. That's actually not true. Ralph announced that. Via some information, maybe some unknown source. So no, in all seriousness, if we're going to talk about that, Brian Vincent came up to us and said, you're the first thing he said to us. He said you're the guys that leaked Circus Voltaire. That's what he said. But he didn't seem pissed about it, though. He wasn't pissed. He was kind of like almost joking around. We just threw you under the bus since you're not here. Yeah, tell Emoto to sit down. Oh yeah, sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down, sit down. Get on there, Emoto. Get on, please. Oh, I have Pinballm too with me somewhere. Is Pinballm here? I don't know, but they made us awesome. Whitewood, Marco. Oh, that's badass. Bomb swag. I have some for y'all. Not that one. All right, say hi to every boy. Hi, boy. Hey, what's happening? Hey, good to see you guys. Wow. I'm so excited to see you guys. Wow, good to see you too. Welcome to TPF. Well, first of all, thank you very, very much for setting this up and letting us use this booth. Yeah, we wouldn't have been able to do this without you, so thank you. We're glad to have you in our homebrew village. So thank you. Thank you for hanging out with us. I've enjoyed... You're so busy. She's so busy at these shows. You seem like you still have energy left. I don't know how you do this. Kel looks so sad. I miss you. You and Rachel should be here. I know, I know. We'll see you at Expo. I know. Don't you love him? Yeah, I do. Sorry, I wasn't even listening to what you guys were saying. I was just like, man, we used to do shows together. Like, Kayla and Rachel trained me to do all of this, you know? Well, I tell you, I'm the reason that she's doing this right now because... He got me hired at Marco. Well, actually, I kidnapped you. For real. We were doing a show in Nashville and I asked Emoto to come out and just hang out. And then from there, they were actually shooting a documentary at the Marco office and I said this would be perfect. Emoto would be... I talked to Paul. I was like, Emoto would be perfect for this. She has to come out. And I convinced him to pay her a little bit of money. Steve Adubato, That guy right there, ladies and gentlemen. They asked me to come back, yeah. And hey, I'll do it again. That's awesome. So what's the show like been for you? How's the homebrew section? I mean, it's the biggest it's ever been here, right? Yup, so last year we had six homebrew games and this year there's 14. Damn. Pretty awesome, right? If you build it, they will come, right? So growing exponentially, we were able to get our a different space. We've always been kind of in the middle for forever. And now we're in this kind of corner space. We created our little homebrew village, tent city, and, you know, tried to feature each homebrew game as much as possible. And it's just been really cool. We have, uh, we're hosting the tech medic area. We did tech day on Wednesday. So it was like, come bring your game early, learn how to work on it with professional technicians kind of shadowing you and telling you what to do. So I heard like good things about that. I heard everyone was pretty. We had like Nick Schell, who's like this EM master wizard teaching these like young, young adults, these guys like how to read schematics and like making them do it and being like, okay, so if you're going here and then you need a clip So, Motto, I'm fascinated by all this, but our friend Jamie, when you start talking technology, it leaves him, I saw it, but I saw it inside. I wasn't leaving. I was, I was. You were leaving, so leaving. You were so leaving. Much edumacation, but yeah, okay, long story short, we're hosting the tech area, medic area, so they're helping fix all the games on the floor. We're working with a lot of great techs like Todd Tucky from TNT Amusements and his crew, Eugene Mosh, Legendary, all these guys are freaking awesome. And then all the games, Fast Pinball and Trident Pinball are here, so the support that they give to making these games actually happen is freaking awesome. I heard Kale and Rachel were working on a homebrew game soon and they're going to bring We're not even know this. We have a show with you. What the hell? No, we're really not. Oh, okay. How's he keeping this from us? Planting the seed water. Hey, how the hell would you guys even have the time to do that actually? I don't feel like you would. We would get other people to do it. Just put your name on it. That's right. Hey. Delegate. Yeah. Well, thank you for everything you do for this community and I appreciate it. My mom's calling me, so we're not going to talk to mom right now. Well, you should just totally send your mom to the chamber. Yeah. Lots of great seminars. Yeah. It's always fun to see the Texas pinball community and people from all around the world come here down here too. Yeah. We're in Expo. You see the most like international or just like wide range of people coming to one spot to enjoy pinball together. So it's really rad. As someone that does all the shows, is this, where would you rank the show? I don't want you to... Oh, it's at the top. Do you like this show better than Expo? Yes. Well, they're all different. You know what I mean? Like... They're all different. Expo is cool because that's where all the manufacturers are. Right. Right. A lot of people that can't travel this far can come to the show so you can see the engineers and the other designers on different levels, the people that are actually like hand building the games coming out to the show and enjoying it where, you know, we're 800 miles away down here. But here it's like in a hotel, you know, we have carpet floor, it's more intimate. You know, the show hours are a little bit different. The engagement is a little bit different. So they just all live in different levels of awesome, you know? And then of course we have to give a shout out to the Houston Arcade Expo. The Houston Arcade Expo. That's like my decompression show, you know? We're not setting up booths anymore. They're gonna get Kayle and Rachel too. Love that show. I love that show. I love hanging out with you and Tally at that show. It's a nice difference between this show and the other. It's minuscule compared to this, but it's tiny. Okay. But it's super fun. Everyone says you gotta go to it. Okay. Yeah. Thank you for stopping by. Yeah, you're the best. Oh my God. I love her so much. So great. Thanks, Emoto. Thank you, Emoto. Good seeing you. All right. All right, are we going to close this out? Thank you, sweetheart. I don't know. Are we going to close it out? Well, he needs that rig in like 10 minutes. Oh, okay. That's her telling us to get the hell out of here. So is this like a five minute warning or is it get the hell out of here? It's a two minute warning. All right, two minute warning. I don't know. How would you say? How would you? Okay. So let's, let's wrap it up with like, run through, like very quickly run through the new games on the floor. And just a quick, just a quick little something. What do you, what do you thought about them? So what? Start at UConn Yeti. The It's a good show. They're going to sell a lot of them. It's a good game. I mean, they're going to sell a lot of them. Yeah. They're going to sell out. They're going to sell out. For sure. Yeah, I would prefer a little more call outs. But again, there are 0.7. So let's give Turner a break. And he, again, the most receptive dude on the planet. I mean, he's going to listen to the community. Houdini with the new art. They don't have it. It's, it's fun. No, I mean, it's Houdini, but like, it's a good game. It's a fun game. The art looks good on it. So I feel like they'll, you know, I mean, it's not a new game, but it's new because of the art and it's being offered in that limited amount. Beetlejuice, I mean, it's like a constant flow. Everyone seems to be all hyped up for Beetlejuice. I think the thing I've heard a lot, though, the one thing they're like, man, the same thing with Winchester, like, man, I wish I could buy one. Like, I want to buy one. So, I mean, that's the, I guess that's the, I don't know, the result of being really popular and they're just good for spooky, but I mean, that's the thing. They're really popular right now. They're hot. They have IPs people want. So, uh, Same thing with Winchester. Winchester's fantastic. If you haven't had a chance to play it, come on down, but you can't get one. Yeah. And I mean, Pokemon, constant flow of people, people seem to like it. I think, I think the only thing that, uh, I've heard this only a couple of times. I've heard people say, oh, I can't wait for the code to evolve more. But that's every new release from Stern, really. I know there's been a couple of people that we've talked to, like Jamie and I was sitting at the bar eating and some people just said, oh, man, I wish there was achievements in it like that. That was good. But obviously, we feel at least that the reason why is something to do with licensing. So they'll be there. It definitely is. It is. Yeah, there's code updates already with achievements waiting for. All right. All right. All right. Waiting for approval. Yeah. Yeah. Let's let's sign out so they can do their thing. Thank you, everybody, for joining. Thank you for letting me be on here. Appreciate it. Oh, do we miss you? We should be here so much and so many times. We were like, where's Kale? Where's Kale? Because I mean, we got we got almost the whole crew. We need you. And Jamie got me on two different podcasts. So that's a plus. I know. He's Asian. Don't. I'm going to go off camera real quick. So you can wrap it up. I want to I want to help him get this rig. No, no, I'll never do that. All right. God bless everyone. Thank you so much. We really appreciate you so much. Thank you. Alrighty. Thank you, Chad.
