Today the journey down the Pacific Coast Highway from San Francisco to Los Angeles began. The first stop was for lunch at Half Moon Bay. An hour from there lies the awesome boardwalk in Santa Cruz. You have to see the pictures of the Santa Cruz boardwalk. It blows sway the boardwalks that I’ve been to on the East Coast. There’s tons of carnival games, great food, rides, a good looking beach and THREE arcades, two of which have pinball. On your journey down the boardwalk, the first pinball location you come to is Neptune’s Kingdom. Neptune’s Kingdom has everything that you’d expect to see at s beach arcade...a Pirate Themed mini golf course 🏴‍☠️ , skee-ball, claw machines and a TON of arcade games. Drivers, shooters, classics and a surprising robust pinball collection. The pinball scene in Santa Cruze is dominated by Stern. Every single pin in Neptune’s Kingdom was a Stern, though it had more slightly older Stern than its counterpart down the boardwalk. Games were prices at $0.75/play or four for three swipes with the gaming card. I didn’t have a ton of time to play the games on this leg of the trip so I chose Avengers. For some reason I don’t think that I have an Avengers score in Pindigo. I always try to add to my list of games played if possible. Avengers isn’t one of the more popular Sterns but I had a lot of fun with it. If you’ve never seen the Avengers Hulk LE version Google it. It’s amazing. Well that’s it for now. More reports from the road soon.
