All right. Welcome, welcome, welcome to Saturday Night Pinball, everybody. All right. This is the grand final of Classics Day 2 at It Never Drains in Southern California. Pleased to be here with Sanjay Tracy here to cover, I guess not Car Hop, But when we had that in the beginning, I was expecting to see a lot more co-op, and then I guess we had some changes. It did take a very long time to play co-op. So I guess we're definitely going to see, I guess, a more wide variety of games this time. Good. That's good. But, well, yes, here comes 8-Ball, everybody. So congratulations to Keith Elwin, Jack Tappan, Johnny Monica, and Jeff Teolas, our top four finishers in Classics 2. a huge over 200 person tournament right so we're going to mention about the challenge we're not on the camera anymore but there is a challenge coin available to the winner of this of these three rounds today and the Classics 2 challenge coin will go to the winner and next time we're on the screen we'll show it to you right and it is a very significant coin I mean this is significant pog weight I mean if you're going to do some damage if you do that All I would say is that it's shiny. Right. It's very shiny. It is very shiny. You want it. I do want it. And I thought it was mine. Right. Because it was in front of me. Right. It's not in front of you right now. So you're not in the final. I just happened to be. Oh, I see. We're in the final of the commentary. We have that much. I thought I was going to be in the finals, but I didn't expect it to be this way. What's going on? Yes, I am. Keeping an eye on chat. What's going on, everybody? We're Flip Tron. We've got Ryan Wanger here. Slapdrain is here. What's going on? I mean, one thing I want to make sure I let y'all know, we hope you've been supporting InDisc with certain ways that you know you can support InDisc on Twitch. I'll just say it that way. Because IE Pinball does great work here. And I'm sure you all have seen the level of quality of broadcast that has happened thus far. And it seems to be improving every single year. They find some way of doing it. And so Carl D'Python Anghelo and IE Pinball deserve your support. And I'll just leave it at that. As we move on. The setup is tremendous here. To 8-Ball. And here comes Keith Owen. Right. So let's have our quick overview of 8-Ball. We have our traditional. We have our pool ball numbers here. Each one is going to give you $3,000 to collect. This one here, the 8-Ball Target, is key. right why is it key because it's gonna light your save right that hungry hungry out lane right so you definitely want to take care of that you also want to take care of this shot because that is your multiplier that multiplier is this rollover right here so that will multiply your bonus and with each ball being 3 000 with it which is evil as this game is those multipliers going to be very very very important so let's see how that's the one you want to plunge oh get into the right it's very often it will do this move right into the eight ball so that's the one that's the one you want to plunge right one save now you notice it's used up now right so he's got to hit that eight ball again if he wants to get that out lane save careful now keith keith's fine he said I'm fine here. I know what's going on. All right. So now the spinner's not lit. Only 10. How do we light the spinner? Perfect. Come on. Do it. Get it. Get it. How do we light the spinner? Hit that target. So, all right. So now the spinner's on. So now that was a quick alley pass, I think. Yeah, it was an attempt to get a spinner shot. Exactly. He's trying to set up a spinner. Here we go. Cash money. Beautiful. Lovely. Oh, sounds so good. All that money. Oh, my goodness. Oh, my. Oh. Okay, good. That's always so stressful, but goats can very easily do something like that. I know, right? The goat is used to this, right? So he's already working on bonus X. See, that first shot is not worth bonus X. The second one is 2X. Then we got 3X. Then we got 5X. So the first value is not worth anything at all? Well, you have points. It's got 300 there. You got some points there. Meanly points. Yeah. His next shot will be for a multiplier. Here comes the spinner shot. Oh, he just missed it and he paid for it. Okay, well, I think it's a good start. Oh, wow, more than 140,000. So that's a great first ball. And do your balls carry over from what you collected from ball to ball? Excellent. Absolutely. So it's very important to have a good showing on ball one because that carries on through. That was just last call by the voice of God, Carl D'Python Anghelo. Last call outside if you want some refreshments. As we are winding down here for qualifying. Don't forget, qualifying for the Open is still going on behind us. And so it's winding down. And that will continue tomorrow. Tomorrow's stream. Coverage of the Open World Championships. Now Jack Tabb is stepping up and seeing the rose in front of him. has already been paid by Keith Elwin with $145,000 on ball one. That's some people's games. $145,000. Easily. Maybe multiple games. Right. Will the game give him the eight ball? Will the game? Nope. He's going to have to get it on its own. Nice. Nice, nice. And he didn't tilt. Very good. Come on. Jack's an amazingly great player and he's probably even a nicer guy than he is a player and he's an awesome player i can attest to that and uh he's fine you know shake that off i'm shaking it off you know i'm gonna shake off that performance the first of all it's the finals anyway so it's the finals and plus that spinner pays a lot of money i mean a good spinner hit feels real good get you into it and pays you about i think this one pays like 30 or 40 000 a good hit we'll see that was cold that was messed up game that was not right that wasn't right because it gave him the eight ball so it gave some hope and then all hope's dashed. So, I mean, that's just wrong, game. Come on. That reminds me of my qualifying game. Oh my goodness, Debra. And me too. I'm guilty. I will sign up for that one because that's exactly what happened to me. Alright, Jeff Teola stepping up to the bar. Let's see what he's got. He's trying to get that 4-12. If he can get that 4-12, that right lane, it will bounce sometimes right into the 8-ball. That's what he wants. Oh, maybe. No. Okay. Okay, so he did light it, though, so that was good. He did graze it. Got it. Now get to the right. Get to the right. I got the 300 points from that loop. Oh, nice little half touch, whether he meant to do it or not. I don't care. I don't think he meant to do that, I think. It worked. But it worked. It worked. Anything that works. And that's a good spinner, so that should give you a little bit of confidence. 40. 40. I was like over 40,000 for that shot. Wow. He can do an alley pass here. Maybe alley pass it over and then set up the spinner. Let's see. Maybe it goes for a multiplier. Yeah, multiplier is another option. Yeah. Oh, that's going to use. Time for the eight ball again. Oh, yeah. Oh. That's definitely one thing I need to improve upon is to recognize when to do alley passes. it's not that easy to determine that. I guess it's probably based on the width of the distance between the bottom of the slingshot and the bottom railing. So the narrower that is, the tougher it is, I guess, to do an alley pass. I mean, the other option, of course, being the tap pass. If you're super comfortable with the tap pass, so you can tap it over here, I mean, that would give you more of a guaranteed chance at a spinner. but again the difficulty of the tap pass makes up for that I mean no yeah fight jab jab body blow body blow okay no okay good time just in the nick of time nice okay good it's fine even though the spin is not lit I mean fine I mean you know just gonna get up there you know where the spinner shot is why do you even get one of these one of the lanes here because if he gets one of the lanes when it's lit, you'll get the bang shot value as well. You see these two arrows in here? You go through the lane while it's lit, it also counts toward advancing the bang shot value. Ah. Do you know how much that is? It advances you up. It advances this, so it gives you the next one. Oh, I see. Oh, it's like making the loop. It's like making it. Oh, I see. Okay. Nice. He lit the... He's amazing. How can you know how to do that, Keith? My goodness. I believe he times his shot so that it goes directly where he wants it to go Indian Lane I would not be surprised if he said that look at that that's the third kickback used right the game did make him pay for that I mean he recovered from what looked like a minor error and covered it up like I didn't make that's fine but then the game so I remember the game remembers the game remembers everything the game remembers everything All right, Jack, let's go. Come on, Jack. Let's go. Let's give some competition here. There we go. Good punch. Get that eight ball for him. There you go. Perfect. Game time now. Okay, just in time. Give him one right flipper shot. Just one. Okay, now a stronger right flipper shot. Good stop. Excellent job handling that. Now he can take the bank shot. Maybe he can bounce it to the eight ball. Nope, not quite. Okay, good save. Good job. Good job picking it up. In lane. Nice. I might have been tempted to move the machine when it was near the in lane, but he timed that perfectly. He didn't need to move anything. He needed that spinner shot that he tried on the fly to go to defend against the result of what just happened. Because what you saw was the game punishing him for that miss spinning there. But it's all right. It's all right now. I mean, we've seen that that spinner pays 40 grand. Okay. So on a good shot. So you can come back from this. And seeing how critical getting that eight ball again. That out lane is hungry. Very. Control. We're going to look for a bank shot. Are we going to look for the eight ball? What are we going to see, Johnny? Show me something. It was a little early. Game didn't give it to him. And. Oh, yeah. I mean, I was going to say, and he recovered. And then I stopped myself. I was like, uh-oh. He was in New York. When the ball was in New York, I could see that it was heading towards California. Yeah, it was heading toward right. He was in the bad part of town. Not able to cover. get the lip balls come on now light your kickback thank you very good now a nice spinner a little early on it now game punishes him for that miss okay and full punishment there all right i thought it's just gonna be a partial hit but no the game decided to two-way combo him by outleaning him after using up his kickback No. Okay, ball three. What's our score so far? 2-1. 2-1. 16-5 and 99, okay. Now, Keith does have a super bonus here of 24,000 of carrying through his rack. So it looks like he doesn't have a lot of his full balls done. He does. He's completed eight of them already. Okay, right in the middle of that spinner. Very nice. so it would be good for him to get multipliers oh yes it would be each one is gonna be worth 24,000 actually 36 free one come on come on free shot let's light that kickback I wonder if the spinner of he'll tap past the no-go spinner go spinner Nice. A nice nudge. Good job. Just one bonus there. Eight balls. Almost had it. Didn't touch it. Oh, no. This is pure chaos, but yet all control. Everything's fine. Control chaos. That's all control chaos. Again, beautiful spinner shot. Will he find the one, maybe? Will he find the eight ball? He'll take either. Preferably the eight ball. Now he's going to try to probably not hit it as hard so that it goes in the four. There we go. Yes. Give it to him. No, it didn't do it. Good save. Good job not flipping that right flipper. It wasn't the full slap save. He knew he needed to rub it off the other flipper to get it up. He did it. Special. Yeah. Keith is like, nah, that ball should not have drained. You saw his expression? I was like, oh, what? Do you know who I am? That should still be here. Do you know me? Excellent ball three. Quite a lead. Yes. All right, Jack's ready to go now. Let's go. Let's light a spinner. Let's get the 4-12. Let's get the eight ball, and then we light a spinner, and then we cash it in. That's the plan. That's the initial plan. Okay. Let's get that done first. maybe the initial thing first is to plunge and then oh yeah yeah that's right that's step zero step zero plunge it just start again this is patience you know this is fine oh did he get it good he did okay come on kickback is lit there it is oh don't take it away already oh that was the shot he needed another chance at it Very stressful right now. That's gone. Kickback's gone. Now, oh, no. Okay, good. Okay. Good shake there. That was very good. He needed all of that. Oh, he's hitting the same wide post on that shot. He's had two chances at it. Jack needs to just settle down a little bit. The game needs to let him settle down. Yeah, the game is fighting back on him now. The game is fighting back. Two down, nil. Okay. All right. Good flow. That should be good enough. Yes. All right. Now, second part is two. Oh, no. Okay. Now, no. No. Okay. Good. Control. Fight. Yeah. Come on. Fight it. Fight the power now. Fight it. Yeah. Oh, no. Now, what unlights the spinner? Because you did have it lit earlier. Well, using the kickback will unlike the spinner. Really? Yeah. I did not know that. If you use the kickback, the spin is gone. So the kickback has to stay on. Wow. Nice. I do not want to say Jack is surviving well up until now because the moment I say that. No, we don't even think that right now. Right. Come on. Because, yeah, no commentators curse here. Correct. No, no. Good. Nice. Good no-sling there. Okay, at least he's a bonus multiplier, so that's a good thing. That's a good side effect. 5X is good. I like it. Come on. Now? No? Hot bumpers, do your job. Now, again, he is scoring points for that every time he hits it now. So he's getting significant value. Oh, that's tough. All right. So he will score in the second. Let's see. This is 15,000 a ball, so that's not nothing. That's three times five, 177 now. Okay, that's a good second. That's a good second. Considering third place is 99, that's some work. Yeah. Meanwhile, Johnny gets it to hit three times. And that's a pattern that we've been seeing consistently. As soon as they light the kickback, they use it up almost immediately. Oh, recover from this. We're in the neighborhood of bad things. Okay. Nice. Nice. All right. There we go. Straight forward. No nonsense. No nonsense. That's right. Good. Good nudge off there. Excellent. A little bit early. Okay. Good one, help us out with the spinner shot now. Good bounce over and take it. Oh, there it is. Powerful, powerful. That was the most powerful one, I believe. 30, 40. No Oh no Not going to make it He just all target he looking for that target now Come on, give him that 8 ball. Oh that was almost disaster. Oh he wanted to go directly for the 8 ball right there. What an inlay! Oh man! What an inlay that was! Very fortunate, and that was a good shot. Oh yes! Look at go! Yes! No drain in the middle! Oh my gosh, come on. An evil rubber there. I see you. I write all over you. It did that to him on ball one, too. I write all over you. I write all over you. Because it's hard to know that it's here. Because, I mean, yeah, sure, if you nudge it that way when it hits there, then it's brought back. And it looks so innocuous, right? It's just like defining a path. But in reality, it's a trap. It looks fine, right? I mean, it looks so fine. It's all the way up there. Oh, wow. Meanwhile, Jeff, the carrier. We'll give him second. No, give him third, rather. Yeah, we'll give him third, rather. Yes, we'll take a carry over for third place. But Keith Elwin with the big four points in game number one. Jack Tadman with two. That was an exciting game. That was. That was a lot of fun to watch. Yeah. That was a very stressful game, April. Very stressful, yes. What games of April aren't stressful? I think they all are. I think they're pretty much constantly on your toes. I think that one had the least stressful game of 8-Ball that I've seen in a while. Hey, we're back. Oh, the coin. Hold the coin. Show that coin. This is the coin of destiny. See how heavy it is? That's beautiful. Yeah, you can see it from even that wide angle. It's great, right? Look at it. I want it. Look at the back. Yeah, that's us. It just says challenge winner. But, yes, so this coin will go to the winner. All right, our next game will be Paragon. Tap pass time, everybody. Another stressful game. Oh, yeah. That's all I can say. Especially if you have to depend on your tap passing skills. I mean, I'm sure we're at the top four, so I'm sure every one of these players is very confident in their tap passing skills. Will their nerves hold out? Yes. It's the nerves now. Because they all can do it. Yes. All right, that's fine. They all can do it. So will the nerves hold out when they have the 5X target there, they're trapped on the left flipper, and they need to do one tap pass to make the shot? That's what we're going to find out. So Eric Stone, the way he was passing it from the left to right was he was kind of, he was flicking it towards the left so that it hits the gate. And then he was kind of basically, he was alley passing it over to the right. Okay. And he did that quite consistently, and it seemed to be working out well for him. So he was like, all right. And that seemed to be relatively safe and consistent. So we'll see what happens over here. All right. Very interesting to see if any of them choose to do that strategy because, I mean, if they can pull it off, it takes the danger of the tap pass such as there is out of play. I mean, and if that can be more consistent, we might see some hundreds of thousands of scores here that we might not be accustomed to seeing on Paragon. Exactly. But I am expecting to see some higher scores. This is top four. I mean, I've got to remember. Where are we? This is the final. So, I mean, you know, this is a, I expect to see at least a couple of 5Xs. You know, maybe even somebody spelling Paragon, because the way it's set, you spell Paragon in order. It's not random. So it's going to spell all the way across. So we might even see that. Let's see some Paragon. All right. So what we were talking about, the tap pass, is if there's a ball caught here, right, what the tap pass will do is get the ball from here and pop it over there so that you can take the all-important in-line drop target shot because that is the path to destiny right here. So you've got 2X, you've got target down, the 2X, 3X, the 5X saucer right there, the extra ball for points, the special for points. You know, there's lots of cash and prizes in there if you can get the ball over there. And the extra ball is worth how many points? $25,000. $25,000? $25,000. And then the special is 50. 50. So, I mean. Juicy points. Big points. Right. There are targets over here, but we won't discuss them. That's how relevant they are. Okay. I mean, there's no points, but no one's going to be looking for them. They're going to be hit out of necessity from defense. But the spinner can be a useful tool. Right. Here's the spinner here. We're going to give you a super bonus. Right. Exactly. if you get your 20, 30, or 40, you keep it. So based upon the current strength of the spinner, it adds values to the bonus? Yes. Every time it gets to the top, that's one count. So every time you spin all the way to the top, that's one, one, 1,000, 1,000. That was terrifying. That was terrifying. Oh boy, Beast Lair This is the Beast Lair here This is the bad area That's the bad neighborhood You don't want to be in there Now that was what Steve was talking about That was a perfect example of a tap pass Look at that Oh my god, that's beautiful Even if you don't hit No! What a dig Nice all drop targets down the 5x saucer is open he's got 3x your prediction is going to come true very quickly oh boy he's at now he's at 13 if he gets to 20 he'll be able to keep the 20 oh yes all right there's 5x now will he get to 20 extra ball is there yep key bounce over give me the money $25,000 for the extra ball. All right. It's at $16,000. Getting closer. Once the targets reset, then hitting the drop targets, I guess, just gives you points. It's bonus count, right? Points and $2,000 bonus as well. And bonus, actually. And the special is hiding behind there now for $50,000. So if he can get through there again, it'll be $50,000 on top. So basically he just needs to find 2,000 in bonus to get 20. That'll give him a super bonus for the rest of the game. Which he has now done. And on the way out. Right. Perfect timing. So he'll wake up with that 20 on ball two. Okay. So he had 18,000, I think, in bonus or 13,000 in bonus. So he didn't get the super bonus yet, right? He did. He did. He did. Because he had 18. He hit the target, got the 20 on the drain. He hit the target, got that 20 right then. Okay, but I didn't see the insert light up. It did. Oh, it did light up? Okay, I must have missed it. Because he had just drained, so it was counting off the 20 for him then. Right, so he had just drained that. That's why he didn't really make a big save there either. He was like, give me my money. Give me my $100,000 because he had 20 times 5, so I'm fine. Here comes Jack. Whoa, we're starting off exciting right now. Already the speed has picked up. Again, spelling it in order. Every time you land in that right saucer, we're spelling Paragon. You get to the end, it lights the special for 50,000 and completing Paragon for 25,000. A 75,000 point cash-in. Very valuable. And it's also giving you bonus. Yep, yes it is. So it seems like everything gives you bonus in the game. Yeah, there are very few things that don't. I mean, you have like... The Golden Cliffs do not. This doesn't. This gives you some. This does. These don't. Awesome. Oh, he survives the beast. So the beast is zero for two. Right? So far, surprisingly, the beast is losing right now. You're very surprising. Oh, he wants that 20. He's at 18. 19. He got it. Good job. Okay. It's multiplier time now because he doesn't have any yet. He's got this target down, but he needs this one to start his multiplier journey. he's trying the nice alright good save good reactionary save no no super bonus and one multiplier at least he has the 20 because that makes it easier to get the 30 it makes it way easier to get the 30 so alright so not bad I mean you know yes He's keeping up, even though he's half of Keith. Right. He has the 80, but more importantly, he has the 20,000 Superbonus in the bank. And that matches what Keith has. Right. Keith has that as well. Yes. Okay, come on, Johnny. All right. Let's see, Johnny. All right, starting off with a letter P. And... Good save. Yeah. He dug that out of there. Let's see how Johnny handles this. Tap pass or nice tap. Beautiful tap pass. Okay. Oh! Wow, just the flipper just decided to just land perfectly. I don't know. I can't really explain the physics on that one. Yeah, it happened a little too quickly. It wasn't a fumble because he hit the button. He hit the button because this flipper moved. And you're talking about after the tap pass happened. Yeah. I don't know what happened there. We need to see an instant replay on that. Let's go to the video team. What? Hey Jeff is a little Oh in the bad part of town Oh well now That's a victory for the bus That's a victory for the beast That was a three point shot from the beast From the top of the cave It went woo Three That was perfect The beast thought that it needed to do something drastic Because locally he wasn't able to do anything So he decided to go for the Hail Mary three gone wow okay one for two that super bonus is really critical now for uh for keith and jack since players three and four johnny and jeff did not get it yeah didn't hit anything oh he didn't hit anything he's fine he didn't hit anything he's like fine very nice awareness of that one more one more go in there oh i really expected it to go there I love it when I have super bonus because getting to 10 so that you can pop yourself up to 30 is much easier So multipliers come on patience, oh, I know he's trying he's trying nice shot Already at 27 one for four. Yeah Nice how you open the flipper to make sure 30 30 already looking for 40 Yes. Nice. Meanwhile, he's getting money in the Golden Cliffs now. This is starting to get to be serious cash up there. There's $10,000 in that saucer. Okay, a little bit of a mistimed tap pass, but he recovered. Let's do it again. Good. Good. Good. Yes. The edge of the flipper. And, oh, got the 30. 35. Nice. 37 is the light out. Let's see which one it is. 36. Wow, he's about to go to 40 Wow, free Free shot Keith shrugged his shoulders like, okay, well Don't you just love it when the game gives you some things And there's 40 40 So he's got 200,000 in bonus coming right now At least And notice he only needs one more letter And yes There it is Nice. So now Paragon is lit and the special is lit. Okay, the Beast needs to be replaced with something else. The Beast is asleep right now. I mean, I'm happy for the players, but the Beast is not doing its job. Good. The Beast is, you know, the mice will play. And the Beast is away because this is great for the players. Nice. Let's do this super happy fun time right here. Oh. Oh. So, will Paragon stay lit for the third ball? We can plunge it. He'll be plunging for $75,000. Beautiful. Excellent. On top of the 40 that he's bringing through. You know, he'll wake up with 40 still on the board. Correct. All right. So, this might be a tournament clinching ball if Keith has first and Jack doesn't finish second. Okay. We can crown a champion. because we need 8-4 to at least have a significant third game. If we don't have 8-4... I forgot that this was game two. Yeah, this is game two. Okay, I think Jack's going to have a big ball here. Come on, Jack. He's due for one. See, that right target didn't even go down when it got hit. You saw how much of a wall that was? It's still standing there. Oh, and he knew it. Okay, come on. Let's go, Johnny. Johnny steps up, you know, studying the game. Let's see a little of the work we've got to do. We've got to get our 20 first. You know, we've got to at least get that far. Pass for Johnny Thank you Oh went off Yeah Oh boy Yeah he knew It was a little bit Of a misflip Yeah He didn't mean to Shoot it from the Upper flipper I guess I mean it's one of those Where like as soon as You press the button You know you messed up Like he knew he did You see it on his face He was like You know But he did that on purpose, though? He wanted to shoot the ball from the upper flipper? Yeah. Okay. But he knew when he pressed it. It was like, no, not quite. You know, he wanted it. He knew. It didn't even seem like a proper press. Like, he was trying to manipulate the flipper? I don't know. It just seemed that way to me. Moving tap pass, maybe? No. That is so hard. It's only possible. Good. Just off the edge of the rubber there. Got it done. All right. Let's see. Let's see Jeff's strategy. Are we going to do that? Nice. Look at that. Okay. Alright. He's back. He survived. Good recovery. Yeah, he just had to send it. He just had to send that one because... Otherwise he was in danger. Alright. Nice. Beautiful. Come on. Yes. Good. Alright. Now we've got it. Now we're in. Okay. Feeling good. Feeling good. Alright. Nice. Off the edge of the rubber. Protection. Feeling real nice. Yep. Another tap coming. See, you got a margin for error for that. You know, it doesn't have to be perfect taps on Paragon. Good. He's getting some game time in, so hopefully that'll. It is 11 o'clock. No new games may be started for qualifying. You may finish out your existing games. Thank you for coming. if you volunteer interested in playing in the volunteer gauntlet you may sign up at the breakfast if you wish to play in sunny strikes you may sign up at the bar that was a signal ending qualifying in the open division oh my gosh wow several flips happened there to defend so much defense and offense and reactions and oh so much battling that was a lot of saves what a fight was tremendous fight oh yes he deserved that target one more good tap that's right do it feel it yeah fight fight fight right oh yeah yeah yeah all right okay did get to the super bonus he did all right so I like that the other players did have some ball time so third ball I think it's gonna be a better battle there's keys 40 sitting there nice and pretty so and then here's keys plunge. Also, where'd he get the money? Not yet. Wow! First of all, how did he not flip the left flipper? Because if he did, he's dead. Right? Okay. It looked like it was in the out lane and then all of a sudden it was on the floor again. Wow! Oh, will he get it? Oh! It was flirting with that. So other than the waterfall, I guess if he opens up the left lane. Wow. Slam dunk. Not even one pop. Two for five? I don't even know if the Beast gets a win on that because the Beast wasn't even involved. He just saw it pass. But the Beast manufactured that out lane there. True. Okay, yeah, we can give it to the Beast. The Beast spent a lot of time manufacturing that out lane. Yeah, that's Beast's real estate right there. So, yeah, I guess he gets the win by proxy just by being there. We all pay rent to the beast to live in his lair The moment you enter his lair Yep your life is forfeit That right Oh boy Oh good job. Good job. He's got golden cliffs up to 10. Free target. Oh, it just did not want to go in there at all. There we go. 10,000. Oh, you can get that in. Yeah. Okay. Come on. There we go. Paragon lit. One more. Oh, no. That was evil and bad. Come on, game. What is that? What is that? Because usually it was like this. It was casual for everybody, right? Yes. My Paragon, that feat, kills you almost every time. Does it? Okay. Give it a big old hit. So that's a normal feed. Okay. All right. Out of the Paragon Saucer, it will go straight down there. Wow. Okay. You have to hit it every time. So basically, if Johnny passes Jack, Keith Elwin wins. That's kind of weird. Unless you can just go all the way and beat Keith. There's always that. There's always the going all the way and passing Keith. So let's not, you know, keep that out. Wasn't there a game at Papa Classics where Kevin Stone pretty much did that? He wrapped around, yeah. He started at 100,000 or something and wound up getting a million or something? Oh, boy. Oh, yeah. You know that was going to go in the end. They knew it, yeah. Come on. Paragon was against him this whole game. Oh, no. All right, well. Congratulations, Keith. So far. I mean, Jeff Diola is. I'm sorry. He's not that far off. He's got his Super Bowl. I forgot you still have a ball to go. Jeff still has a ball to go. Now, if Jeff does not pass Jack, we will have the 8-4. So, Jack will still be possibly playing for a tiebreaker at that point. With the Keith at 8 and Jack at 4. Okay. We require Keith to get fourth in the third game. So, the number of outs will be one. It will be like one. There would be like one out left. And it's possible Keith may not be playing up to his normal levels possibly just because now he's a little stressed. At that point, he'll be so comfortable. He'll be playing beyond goat levels, I think. He'll be so comfortable. He'll probably go Super Saiyan at that point. And it'll just be over. Wouldn't that be a wonder to see? Right. All right, Jeff, let's see the fight go on here. I like the look of determination on Jeff's face. Right? Oh, the fight is over. The fight is over. That will give Keith Elwin eight points. Jack Tappen does have four. All right, so. And Jeff D'Elizabeth, two, and Johnny Monaco, zero. So, Keith is ahead 8-4 going into the third game. I mean, without outright winning right now, it's the state you want to be in. You only have one competitor left, and that's Jack. So, meanwhile, Jack just has to blow the doors off this third game. If Keith has the choice, I mean, you know, he's going to pick his most comfortable game. So, I mean, I wonder what it's going to be. I think he might try and choose a game that's kind of fun or something different just because he doesn't really care. Just throw everything out of the way. Just throwing everything weird and just being like, hey, all I need is one, and so I'll pick something strange that no one else has played even. Right. That's what I'm thinking. That's what I would do. Ooh, stars. Okay. Another game I love. And this is a nice playing stars. I really like the way that this game plays. And it's a five-ball game, and it seems pretty forgiving. I mean, you can nudge it relatively well. At least I had no issues nudging it. Like center post nice? The center post is pretty nice. Even I was able to use it, and that's pretty nice. Okay. That's for anything I use the center post. It's pretty good. I got a lucky save off the center post, but did you actually use it to pass over to the left for the spinner or anything like that? No. Not gutsy enough for that? No. Yeah. Oh, no. Do we know if it works where you just let the ball drop from the in lane and just let the ball go over? I don't know. I didn't have the guts to try it. Right. I got a nice bounce off of it during qualifying, but I didn't have the guts. Keisha tried in his game. And here we go. So, stars. We have the five stars of destiny right here. Getting each star increases the value of the spinner from 200 up to 1,000 a spin. Okay. You're supposed to follow the stars, follow the North Star. Right, follow the stars. So here we have Lucky Star, right? We got North Star. We got Deflection Star. We have Drain Star West and Drain Star East. Those are the five stars. Okay. If you can get all five stars, you will light the special on one of the stars for 100,000 points, and it will stay on for 100,000 points until the end of the wall. Okay, continuous. So as long as you keep hitting it, it's available to you. If that's how it's set. It will keep moving, though. It will keep moving, right. It will move, that's right. All right, so let's see. Other things we're going to look for is completion of the drop targets. Completing one set of drop targets doubles the bonus. And then after that, completing both sets will triple the bonus. And that probably means you're having a great ball if you make it that far. So that's what we're looking for. and this is set to five balls which is nice that's very nice so accounted of those inevitable house balls that stars love to pass out i have mine set to five balls at home because of that you're gonna get at least two that don't get flips all right so things that advance bonus count we have this rollover we have this rollover We have all the stars do it. So Phil Binbaum was telling me that if you notice the rollover on top, it seems to be blinking. So it switches on and off. And that was something new. And he was wondering if that was a software setting or if it was maybe the light wasn't working properly. No. Well, you know, mine is set to five ball also. And when you roll over it, you get the thousand. It turns off. Roll over it again. it'll turn back on or I think something else another other roll overs over in the middle might turn it back on as well and that only is applicable to a five ball game I'm not certain okay I'm just that is how mine operates as well okay so it kind of toggles as you hit it right so it should turn on now it's a little bit delayed yeah now that's actually very nice he lit three stars almost immediately I only got one star left oh he only needs this one but the spinners nice and juicy yes oh no okay good nice nice I see fire in Johnny's eyes fight the power double bonus well you wanted that spinner yeah and Lane is three bonus count when lit so that's pretty nice he survives that good Passover spinner okay decent spinner very decent spinner oh yeah that was in between everything I don't even know how could you say that I don't know the geometry on that was just perfect but still 62,000 very good ball one yes it just that's up to a free 500 because this target decided to drop down in the beginning. So here we go. Oh, the center post there. Yeah, that was the center post save. Justified reaction from Jack. So he needed to not use the flipper at all. Here comes the replay. Watch it. It could have come back. Yep. That was a very sad replay. It's hard to watch again. Once again, Jack Tadman must win and Keith Elway must finish last for us to get to a tiebreaker. any other situation and Keith is our champion. Nice deflecting into two targets for a quick double bonus. Doesn't that much bonus count yet? So he's going to try to work on that now. Good spinner. Even at 200 a spin. Still feels good to hit that spinner. It's a nice sound there. Very nice. Let's hear it again. Very nice. I can't believe he actually heard you, Steve. From all the way there? Should we hear it again? Oh, that went past through. It passed underneath. Oh, we get to hear it again, though. Okay. This time at 400 to spin. Steve, until you tell him something different, he's going to keep on doing that. Oh, we're going to keep going. 400 to spin. 400. What else do we want to see? More stars. Yeah. Oh, more stars. Okay. Yes, that's right. Because if he's spinning the spinner, he'll get some more stars. Oh, nice. Beautiful spinner. Nice! Where did that come from? That wasn't even off the post. I don't even know what that was. That was from below the world and came back. Reincarnated the ball. Spinner time. Oh, no, but he did get a star for it. Meanwhile, don't look now, but that's a triple bonus. Bounce. Yep. Bounce. Perfect. Pure. Pure bounce. So now you've got the left spinner there. You might try and get that. Okay. There's more count. He's got the upper two stars. Fine. Didn't tilt it. That's 30,000 bonus coming. More than that. 33,000. That 1,000 is not lit, but it is there. Like it's, you know, that the light isn't on. But he had 11,000 times three. so that right there just put a serious hammer down on this tournament considering that keith has to finish last even for there to be a tiebreaker and keith right now is very not finishing last right now at the moment a lot of pinball to be still be played in this game five balls right five balls and we're on ball ball two okay that's right show them the strong spinner yeah so I'm Sean show me another strong spinner strong Oh Santa Claus all right so now that we go do we go targets to get the double bonus just two targets on the left that's who was going for it now he's got one target on the right for the double bonus look at those rollovers now that's giving them some bonus count up there. This is the hidden MVP up there for Jack right now. Oh, just missed the target for double bonus. Gave him the bonus count right into the double bonus and then the center post save. What a great combination of moves for Jack there. The law of averages had to catch up. Come on, he's been getting tough breaks. I mean, everybody else is getting tough breaks. And that was an attempt at a star. He made the decision to go for that and the game punished him for it. Because he missed it. Ah, you can see, you can see him make that decision in his mind. Like, okay, I'm doing good. I can get this star and it will work on 100,000 maybe because I have to win this game. And I think he felt slightly confident now because he was surviving. He was making his shots. And at some point you have to make some of the shots. You do. Fine, fine. Excellent job. Yep, absolutely good. Star senses weakness. Be careful. Don't show weakness. That's right. Take a breath there, Johnny. That was good. That was a great job rescuing that ball. So, yeah, let's get a replay on that. Where's the ball? Oh, there you go. There it is. Boing. Boing. Thank you. Nice. Meanwhile, we just had a strong spinning shot by Johnny. As he pulls in the second. Nice. Nice, good job. A good dig out. Thank you. Work on targets. There's one set. So Johnny has the North Stars. Yeah. He has to get lucky over here. Deflection guy here. Okay. And is there a third one? Yeah, there's a third one. Yeah, there's one right. Yeah, there's North. Right there. Yes, correct. And I just noticed here that the game has said you only need one of the drop targets to get the triple. So that's very kind. One for double and one for triple. Oh, okay. Not both of them. For triple bonus. Yeah. Makes it really worth going for. True. Good question. Good question with that good spinner. Oh, nice. Live, live. Oh, strong spinner. Yeah. Come on, get the star in the process. That's a lucky star there. I mean, you know, we'll see. Bonus count coming. Early for strong spinner. Bonus was up to 13,000, though. Good job, Johnny. Turn it around. 1-8-1-8-1-0. Nice. Yeah. Fun. I like symmetry. Here comes Jeff Gillis from Pinball Profile with Donna Summer. Next up on your radio dial. That's just wrong. That is just wrong, stars. Don't kill him from that. All right, fine. You mess with him, but that's just wrong. All right, breathe. Continue. Make a decision. What are we going to do? We're going to have to target. We're going to have to score after some double score. Strong spinner. All right. Things are looking up here. Nice. He's got four stars left. And where is he? Which one's left? Oh, the north star. Yeah, he's north. Okay. Now, you can't really get it from this side. Maybe glance it off the bumper? I mean, it's thin. I mean, you know, it's – yeah, shoot the left spinner. True. Oh, he's looking at it. Oh, he got it. Okay, where's the spinner? Here's the special. There's the special. There's the special. Come on, where's the special? There's the special. There's the special. Yeah. There's the special. Okay. He's gotta get it over there because it's gonna move Is it moving right now? No, wait, wait, here's the special here. Here's the special. There's the little special It can be backhanded. You can hit it. Okay Okay No, no, okay, that's gonna move it and He missed it it's over here now move moving now now it is is back north It's back north. The spinner's moving it. Okay, where will it stop? Nobody knows Some hand praise there he was right on the doorstep Destiny right there one he should have maybe could have tried the backhand up there Maybe might not have moved. I don't know. There's a bumper might have moved it Oh, the bumper moves the... It could have. I don't know if the bumper moves. I know the spinner does. Okay. And hitting a star does. Like hitting one of the other ones. Okay. Cause it to move. Boing. Yep. That's good boing. Alright. You go nice in lane there. Alright. So now we have targets for double bonus. Kay's working on that. Still needs three stars. Uh oh, time for strong spinner. Here we go. No, he's going for the double bonus there. He got it. Three stars. Three stars. Now even stronger spinner here, should he choose to go for it? There we go. 600 to spin, 600 to spin. Good shake. Wow, good job there. Trying to light that fourth star. If he gets that fourth star, We might be talking about another $100,000 special here. But we got a triple bonus going. Yeah, he's going spinner. Because that's where he could have chosen to try and go for star four. He went for the spinner. So this is full spinner strat here. That yellow star can be scary, though. Oh, that's the fourth one. An even stronger spinner coming. And, okay, here we go. He's got the fifth one. Here we go. Where is it? It's on the left. It's on the left. It's going to move because it passed through the in lane. All right. I think it's on the left. It is north here. He got it! Count it! There it is! He got it. Now it's over here. There he's got it! Another hundred thousand! And now it's back here. Where? It's right here. Another hundred thousand Oh careful it doesn want to hit anything else There's no move. Maybe it does want to hit something else. So it moves into a better position. Because right here, they have to deflect it off of something. The bumper does not move. It was learned. But the rollover does. Oh, and it didn't give him that. It was right there. It's still in the same spot? Northstar. Northstar, okay. There it is. And, oh my gosh, 520. 6,000! Oh, wow. That's amazing. Great ball. We have a room full of people watching on the large screen here. I'm enjoying that as much as we did. Exactly. Qualifying is in. There's a hush that fell in the crowd as those 100,000 came in. All right. Now. Come on, Jack. You can do the same thing, right? You can get those 100,000. Jack can do the same thing. You can do this. Everybody can do the same thing. That's the magic of having it set this way with the repeat 100,000s, that you can always come back. That's right. It just changes your whole strategy to going four stars now. It gives you hope. It gives you optimism that, yes, it's hard to do, but. Bounce. Yep. Boing. Good boing. Very good. All right. Nice. Good. Beautiful shape. Yeah. He just wants some control here so he can breathe. just a little bit after that fighting. Okay. It's got a couple of good spinners. All right. Just to kind of settle down. Now he can think about this next shot. Good. Strong spinner. It's going to stop prematurely because it didn't go all the way. Whoa. Okay. That was amazing. Into strong spinner. Look at those numbers move. Oh, no. Oh. All right. Ball three. I completely lost track of which ball we're on. Okay. There's still ball three. everybody's in it everybody's still in it that's what I like to believe it's true because I never beat 100,000 that's what it is at some point we'll see whether these players are going to transition to going for the stars or playing for position I mean because you know getting second place is still significant here yeah that was right in the middle of nowhere Yeah, that was nowhere. No man's land. Dead man's curve. Because it was like that. I mean, I don't know. Dead man's parabola. I don't know what it was, but it was gone. We basically would have to tilt to rescue that. All right, so Jeff Teal is showing up with his 93,000. He did it once. Wasn't able to plunge. Wasn't able to plunge. Lucky star. Teal's going to like some stars. I like that you've named the stars. Yes! You saw nothing! Alright, give him lucky. Nope. Come on, get that star. He was trying for the star. Okay, give him. Alright, so we're going to go for the star or for the double bonus? That was a star attempt. That was a clear attempt at a star right there. going yep excellent no after all that all right ball four oh boy so let's see what happens when yeah when first of all the huge lead what's the strategy here i mean you know conservative just going for bonus and double and triple or put the hammer down and go for stars i think he's gonna go with whatever um so stars like if he seems to be collecting stars, I think he'll go for the stars. Just because he's free, right? Yeah, he can do anything. The world is his. The world is his oyster. Get strong spinners coming. Even at 200 to spin. It just feels nice to hit a strong spinner sometimes, you know? Now that was for double book? That was for a star attempt there. That was for a star attempt. Boing. Nope, no boing there. it's a personal challenge also to try and light the 100,000 so it's great if Keith starts to do that let me get a million on Starz let's roll the game oh no it just stopped short on that rubber it just deadened it it just deadened took all the energy out he was just hanging out in space I'm so frustrated right here Yeah. Oh, my gosh. He just felt it. He just felt the pain of the ball. Slow motion, too. The ball leaving. Exactly. This is why we're glad it's five balls. Yeah. So glad. Nice. Nice, Johnny. Fight. Come on. Fight the power. Good in lane. Oh, you needed that strong spinner. He needed that strong spinner. Come on, game. He paid for that miss immediately. Hungry outlanes. Stars has the hungriest of outlanes. Okay. Yeah. We got another one. Oh, he has another one. I got a backup. What's going on now? There. See, now I'm back. He's ready. Those look like targets from a distance. All right, Jeff, light those stars. Oh! We're back. We're back. We're back in play. We're back. Nothing happened. Nobody saw anything. Right, correct. Everything's good. We just have ball on flipper right now. That's it. Okay. Oh, couldn't get that target. All right now. Okay. Oh, yeah. Okay. Okay, three stars. Got lucky star. Oh. Now he's going to go for the left star. No. Oh, no. I don't like where this is going to come out. Yeah. like that. Oh, no. No, no. Alright, so. Come on, Keith. Go for the stars. Keep going. Might roll this. I don't know. Might try to roll it. The game is trying to be like, no, you're done. The game tried its best to end him immediately. Did you see that? That was sneaky of the game. That was. Well, Keith said, no, I have strong spinner coming up, so. All right, Lucky Star is down. All right. More than half done. Good shakes. Good nudge out of that because he knew he needed it because it was on the top of the slingshot. He's in trouble. Stars is fighting him. Yeah. Stars does not want him to turn this. Yeah. To turn this over. All right, so you got a star sitting right there. What if he goes for it? Ah, he went for it. Okay, he went for the top one. Yeah. And now he has an easier one. Relatively easier one. Where is it? Here it is. Here it is. $100,000. Oh, no. Oh, come on. $150,000 more. Come on. Wow. $847,000 in the last game of Classic 2 Finals. What a nice way to end it. Huge. all right so now can can Jack punch lucky nope didn't get lucky on the plunge where's this going yeah Oh tantalizingly close to bringing that back now the thing where Keith L was 847 thousand score is that I mean you know All those players are trying to get second, you know, they're trying to, they'd have to, like, beat him. So, let's take it off. Let's put it to the side. It's like, all right, Johnny's ready. Okay, let's go. All right, 216, let's go. Trying to get the, come on, get one of them. Come on. Don't be evil. Don't be evil, Stars. Don't be that evil. He's picking up stars He's picking up stars now Two now Alright good that was authority Yeah with authority I caught this ball I have it now Now what will I do with it Okay He shall get double bonus Yeah we're gonna get the double bonus One target for double Oh almost At least get a star Wow that bumper just died That bumper just said no confidence boosting almost that's too high up oh yeah bring it back bring it back Johnny let him live let him live for that come on let him live just live live live live that's all just live yes come on come on game good good ball yeah okay Yay! Ball on flipper! Beautiful! Johnny! Johnny! There you go, strong spinner. No! Okay. No! Good job, Johnny. Well done. Well done. Well done. You finished with 262,000. Good fight. Very stressful. Yeah, there you go. Yeah. Woo. Bad greed. All right, so with Johnny now in second, that gives him a theoretical two. Now, if Jeff doesn't pass third, that would keep Jeff at two, and it would be a tiebreaker third. Oh. Because that's money. I mean, this is cash money, so. Rip. All right. You just need to find 37, 38,000, and he will pick up one position and secure third. Yes. Strong spinner, yeah. With 9,000 on the board, that will secure him third position in this game, as long as he doesn't tilt. Two stars left, and he's trying for the upper star, apparently. He's got East, East Star, and old Deflection Star out there. Sometimes you need to deflect over here and maybe get it, or maybe just try to shoot it directly. Okay. That middle target is also worth 7,000 right now, since it's the last one. Nice, yeah. Okay. Since he left the red star. Yeah. Okay. Patience. Yes, yes, okay, and he lived on his lane. Okay, where is it? Here it is. Okay. The deflection. Come on, deflection. Oh, it moved? It's moved on the west. Oh! Awesome game, guys. Great job, everyone. Your winner on a 12-point sweep of Classics Day 2 at Indisc is Keith Elwin. What a job by him of domination. Congratulations, Keith. Just domination with Keith there. That was an amazing play. Amazing play and on stars. I mean, on stars, the game was like the most chaos, right? I agree completely. Keith handled the chaos for 800,000. So I'd say that's some handling right there. I mean. And almost showed who's boss with the rollover. He did. The almost rollover of the score. Yeah, he almost rolled stars. That's showing who's boss. That's amazing. Almost rolling this star. Any star, really. But really, cashing in how many 100,000-point stars there? At least four or five, right? Five, I believe, I'm thinking. That's huge. That is exactly what you want for a finals. Exactly. Thrilling. All three games were amazing. As we were back. High level of play. Exciting. Nail-biting to the end. It was a privilege to actually commentate on this. It was just so amazing. So glad you two were here. That was definitely fun. Join us again tomorrow for the Open Championship. Right? So come right back here for coverage at IE Pinball. We appreciate you watching us. At 9 a.m. Pacific. At 9 a.m., right? Yes, at 9 a.m. We're covering the entire thing. So, right? Is it covering the entire thing? Yes. Thank you, Carl. Thank you, Carl. Thank you, Carl. Great job. Great job. Right? so as we see people are starting to clear out and mill around before we get kicked out of the facility Steven Bowden here, Sanjay and Chase over here we thank you for watching this broadcast and we also pre-thank you for tuning in tomorrow for coverage of the Open Championship until next time, keep flipping, bye bye bye guys Wow. Hey. Hold on. Just come on in here. This guy might have kicked butt on all three games there in the finals. Keith Elwin, our grand champion. Congratulations, my friend. Well done. Thank you. Tough competition. It looked like those four players were just deadly. That's just my observation. Yeah, yeah. That Johnny guy, man. No, Keith, once again, this is great. How many times have you had your name on the banner? I have no idea. See, most people can say, oh, this is my first time. Now he's got extra hands. It's been a few years, though, hasn't it? No, you've got the high stakes. What are we talking about? I don't know what you're talking about. Yeah, yeah. Anyway, this guy is the best, and we're going to see probably more of him tomorrow because we've got high stakes and we've got them open starting at 9 a.m. But once again, we've got something for you here. The first place championship, a little challenge coin, and probably some cash, too. Congratulations to Keith Elwin. Way to go. Thanks. I really want to roll stars, though, so I'm pretty mad. That was pretty impressive. All right, let's bring on, we've got Jack Tabin. Come on over, buddy. Jack Tabin gave it a good run. I'll grab that. Thanks, Leslie. I appreciate that. There you go. Some hardware to take back to Canada. Well done. Thanks. Thank you very much, Jeff. You've played Keith a few times, right? What were you thinking when you got to the final four? Were we playing for a second? Or, hey, you gave it a shot. I mean, you had a chance in the end. I was just thinking, you know, we have Canada, Canada versus the U.S. I was hoping we would do our country proud. Not bad. Just want to point out that Keith is half Canadian. All right. So technically, Johnny, you let everyone down. But anyway, that's a side note. Jack, it's always fun. You love Indus, don't you? I do. Yeah. Great tournament. And it's just great to see people after so many years. A lot of great players and a lot of great people coming here. And it's really turned into a meeting spot. So it's pretty happy about that. For those watching, you know, we get to know people that we, this is where we do connect. And we become friends. And it's exciting. And if you've never had a chance to come to Indy, I would highly recommend it, wouldn't you? Yeah, absolutely. You've got a few people from Manitoba with you, don't you? Yeah, we've got a good crew, Manitoba Pinball League. We've got Drew, we've got Dave. And, you know, pinball is growing in a lot of places, and that's evidence of that. This is one of Canada's finest, no question about it. Jack Taubman, congratulations. All right.
