And he forces Bowen to play it again. Oh, my God. Which was actually excellent strategy because he wants Bowen to beat me. Yeah. So then Bowen is basically he's already he's moved on. So then it's just between the three of us or closer, the three other players. And Bowen beat me on ball one. Oh my God. Yeah. See, the thing that pissed me off is in all the years I've played in tournaments, this was the first time I ever played Bowen. Oh wow. Ever. Because I'm never in his group, because I'm not at that level. So this is like the first time I ever played him. You know, like the second game, you know, you have this huge game and actually beat him on something and it's basically completely nullified. I read that U11 and U10 are suspect and I've swapped them with various used 6821 chips from used bally boards. That made it worse. I would get a locked on MPU LED or just two flashes with various combinations of chip swaps. Getting five flashes is my best. I swapped the 5101 RAM as well and that did not help. Any suggestions? Sockets. So you think it's bad sockets? Could be, because it keeps on changing. Well, first, were the chips that you swapped good or not good? That's the first thing. If they were known good, then I would still suspect the sockets being moved around and pressed around and shoring up everything. Put an Alltech board in it. Stars, tech question. Okay, here we go. You've been on a roll lately with repair tips. Oh my. So I have a question for you on the issue that recently developed on my stars. Whenever I turn the game on and press the start button, the knocker fires three times instead of giving me the opening chimes. The game still loads a ball into the shooter lane and is playable, but the knocker goes off instead of the chimes every time the ball hits a switch. I'm guessing this is some kind of operator alert, but could not find info on what's going on in the manual. The game has played properly with chimes in the past, and I did not mess with any settings. Help, my stars is a-rockin', but it's also a-knockin'. That is weird. Yeah, I've never heard that one before. Sounds like something crossed up with it, like on the driver board side. Try a different driver board, make sure connectors are all good. I don't think it's a connector issue though. I'm thinking more driver wackiness. Because a knocker is being told to fire. And being told every time three knocks is really weird. It's almost like the reset for the coils is getting somehow done. Well, I'll go the easier route. Make sure you didn't put a connector in offset like a pin. But, I mean, you're saying that it worked fine before, so I don't know if you were in the backbox at any point, maybe took the connector off and put it back on, but that's very weird. It's when he's hitting start, too. That's the really weird thing. Well, it's because it's playing the theme. And it hit three times. Now, I know it does more than three chimes when you start a game. So it almost sounds like it's just... It's all firing one different thing. Yeah, like it's firing one of the chimes is now the knocker. Firing the knocker. So you got to follow some wiring out of that connector and figure out which one, And which I think is going to be the bottom one. Yeah, that's really weird. I mean, I'd ask like, did anything happen before this started happening? Or literally it worked fine one day and the next day didn't. Which is so weird. Very weird. Very weird. How bizarre.
