Now who's responsi- I say who's responsible for this unwarranted attack on my person? I say, I say, I say, pay attention now, boy. This is, of course, Foghorn Leghorn presents the Pinball Junk Drawer. You all asked for it, I say, I say, you all asked for it now, you're gonna get it. Boy, oh boy, are you gonna get it. Go, I say, go away, boy, you bother me. Stumbling out of the gate live from your favorite Wisconsin basement, I'm talking, of course, about the pinball junk drawer. My name's Foghorn Leghorn. With me, as always... Craft Brew Sally. Yeah, 50s announcer voice. Uh-oh. I've just been handed a late-breaking news flash. Saddle up the whole dang crew. Lumberjack Johnny's is calling you. Axes fly, skee-balls roll. Pinball poppin', arcades glow Hundred beers, hot smoked meats Pizza so good, you're stompin' your feet Lumberjack Johnny, your fun time, one-stop retreat And that, my friends, as we allude to last week, is the Pinball Junk Jaws sponsor, our newest and only sponsor, Lumberjack Johnny's, with two awesome locations, one in Green Bay, that's Wisconsin, and the other one in Appleton, also with Wisconsin. We're going to working with Limberjack Johnny's, Limberjack Dave and Atomic Nikki. We're going to be giving out, we're going to do our regular monthly numbers or weekly, bi-weekly numbers. That's going to be our regular segment. Like usually before the beer segment. But we'll just give out some of the upcoming events, some of their info about what they got going in one of our favorite places ever. Also, we'll be working with intern Slippy Slappy Slipknot Samsonite Skateboarder Intern Glenn on some interesting and unique, I don't know, jingles and I've already started jotting down many, many spoof parody commercials, so look for dumbness as I'm apt to do. You? No. No way. Oh, it's damn true. Was that Kurt Angle? Oh, wait, never mind. He left. He's not welcome in our basement. Shoo, you ex-wrestler slash gold medalist for our country. Yeah. AKA Crafter Sally's bestest friend ever. Oh, my goodness. No, that's not true. No, it's not. We did meet him, though. We did. That was kind of cool. Yeah. So, this week I installed a mod, and it went about as poorly as they usually do. this one is odd so we bought the Sparky Pinball television mod for our Beatles Gold, we have a Beatles Gold machine we've owned it, I don't want to say since new but pretty much since new we bought it as a show sample yeah it was a show sample but it had like very low plays so we we've been keeping after it but I hadn't cleaned it for a while and I was kind of like stuff's building up. So I was like, oh, I've always wanted to put that television in because I saw it on the Simpsons machine and I've seen it on, I forget which other ones I've seen Sparky's mods on, but I knew it was out there for the Beatles, so I wanted to grab that. That's one of those, I definitely see the added value. When you walk up and it's going in the back corner, you're like, that's kind of cool. It is neat. I do have to find out if what mode it takes because I can go out and get way more Beatles stuff. Oh, yeah. And I'll just customize it. Yeah. But that might not be possible. It should be because there's a flash drive, but I'll dig into that further. So I was waiting until I wanted to get that done, but I wanted to clean it too and do all that crap. So I opened it up and the installation went really well as far as like, everyone kind of puts it in the same place. There's like this empty space in the back left corner that's mostly just the plastics, and there's an easy feed through the back. Like you can't see the wires at all. It went really well, and it was a super easy install. And I really carefully like hid the wires and that kind of stuff. And when I was reading this, okay, here's the fun part. So when I'm reading the installation guide, it says under left flipper the c2 on the node board the c2 like opening so i lift it up and i my brain automatically went to there's a board directly by the left flipper on the underneath of the play field and i looked at ours and i was like oh crap the c2 is taken on this one so i looked and there was another board in the middle of the play field that's then the c2 was open i was like okay cool i plugged it in doa nothing happened and i'm like oh no i was nice i tampered down my rage and i was like oh because i like i've had some weird stuff with mods they're not like if you buy something from stern it's gonna work and if not they're gonna send you one right away yeah like but mods are like these are people making this stuff wherever like that Godzilla mod. It's still wet. I got the Giger, the three-headed monster in the middle of the loop. Going on 10 years or however long it is. That thing is still tacky. If I touch it, it's still tacky. And I'm like, well, should I strip it and repaint it my own gold? But how do you strip it? It's plastic. I don't want to ruin it. You're like, ugh, this is a mess. But that's, I don't care. And then the other thing, the other mod was that the neon sign mod for the Godzilla. Now, when that came, like, I signed, I was on a list, and then it was on the second list, and then I got it. It's a nice mod, but, like, the frame didn't fit right. Like, and this screw, like, and it didn't, like, line up correctly until, like, then I got it to go in together and kind of work together. And it's not an impact thing, so it doesn't, but it's not right. Like, I didn't, like, I should have reached out to the guy and asked him to send another frame or something, like, to make sure it was, like, seated correctly. But I just didn't. I don't know. And I was also thinking that these were, like, limited run things. Doesn't matter. So those two things in the Godzilla are sketchy at best. They work. And, well, the atomic oxygenizer, that works perfectly. That's really beautiful. Yeah, that one's really neat. So, okay, so three out of my four mods have something not quite right. And I'm not a particularly, like, particular guy. Like, it has to just mostly be there, and I'm okay for the most part, you know? But these things, so now I'm installing this thing, I'm like, what the hell's going on? And I'm like, I'm plugging it and plugging it back in, all the crap you usually do. And I was like, okay. So I took a picture of it, and I wrote the guy. the guy, there's a, when you get the instructions, there's a place to write. And this is on a Saturday, early afternoon, late morning, whatever it was. And I was like, well, that'll be the end of that for a while. But he wrote back right away. And the problem was, I'm dumb. So, like, he even, it says in the instructions, Nodeboard, I just saw the first C2 I could find, and that's, I thought that was the one because it was also right by the left flipper, but he was talking about the Nodeboard under the flipper button on the side of the cabinet, which I'm sure it even says in the instructions. My reading comprehension's, you know. No, it's not your reading comprehension. It's your reading. You just don't. Oh, I read those books I buy, like the important ones. Yeah, different. Yeah, I guess. So once then immediately so then I unclipped all those awesome zip ties and all that wonderful like hidden wiring And then now it like in a big ball underneath it But it works And I said thank you to the dude. He was very responsive. It was really fast. Yeah. It was even, like, a Saturday or a Sunday. Yeah, it was. It might have been. I think it was Sunday. You're right. It was, like, Sunday, like, late morning. But, you know, he helped me out right away. I was very thankful because of my duh. You know, I just almost think, I was like, oh, God. You know, sometimes I'm like, how did I get this far in life? You know what I mean? How did I make it here without being able to figure that out? I should have known, but it was all right. It works now, and it's really nice. And it's one of those mods that I consider to add something to it. You can mod the hell out of anything. I've been on record with this. Too many mods are like, yuck. I don't know. Some people really love it. They pack as much as they can, and it's your machine. You do whatever you want with it. I like slight to no mods. But if I see one that really is cool, like the Oxygenator in Godzilla. That one is so fun. And it's metal and it's glass. It's like real. It's like a real thing. It's not like junk. The Geiger one I thought really filled a space that needed it. But that's my own opinion, man. you know so yep but anyway uh so big shout out to sparky pinball do not be afraid to visit them and get their stuff i think i got it through Mezel Mods yeah i think that's how i ordered it but uh they're at the expos and stuff like that i just giving them a quick shout out sparky dash pinball dot square dot site no nobody's gonna go to that just type in uh sparky pinball mods and you'll find it. I mean, you're not going to sit there and type that out. Just let Google do the walking. AI powered, you know. So it worked out. But then I was like, okay, now I'll start cleaning up the machine. And one of the rubbers is hanging on by a last pink hair. And I'm like, oh, no. Oh, no. The one behind the four main drop targets, I can't believe it hasn't snapped yet. And I was starting to look at them because these are the original rubbers from 2015. and I'm like, well, all right. So then I got on Titan and I ordered a kit for it. I just went with the standard kit. They make like translucents and all kinds of wacky stuff, but I just went with the normal. And then when I was there, I was like, well, I'm going to order that one last foam padded, that dense foam pinball anti-fatigue mat. Oh, yes. We have them across the pinball, all the pinballs except one. So we like scooch it around. I'm like, all right, I'm just going to order this thing. So we got one of those coming and, you know. So now this weekend I get to clean up the machine and replace all the rubbers. I say that, but if there's one that's really hard, I don't replace it. Like if it's one that's like you have to take half the play field apart, I'm going to wait for that one to break. That's going to be in the coin box, you know. But all the main ones are kind of super easy to get to and all that. and a good time was had by all. You like messing with the machines. Yeah, I mostly like when they're clean and really fast and waxed up and everything's like a lightning ball. Right. I like how I sit there, you know, and I'm sitting there like looking at the pinballs and like, I don't know, should I replace it? I'm like seeing how many nicks are in it. You know, I'll buy a mod that's $155 for my $10,000 machine, but I'm worried about replacing those faded cloudy balls I could probably get another year out of these or I could just put because I have a drawer of new ones anyway so I'm like just take the new ones and put it in and stop being a dummy you know what can I tell you so that was the exciting Beat Beatles story it's getting there folks so what else do we have going on I was thinking about some of the machines that are like looming in the in the future the rumored stuff rumor pokemon yeah well pokemon transformers oh i didn't hear that yeah that one i thought i don't think anything's confirmed ever yeah of course not i think those are the two main ones that people know about from stern and then of course one of those remastered or something like that oh those are both stern well yeah all three of them are still in, like, Transformers, Pokemon, or new ones. Walking Dead Remastered. Well, that one's last year's. Oh. New one, I guess, they're saying is ACDC, which I'm like, maybe. I mean, again, I have no confidence that these are real. You know, and CGC's supposed to have Halo, and JJP. Halo. Yeah, remember that? We never played it, because we didn't have an Xbox, but, well, I had an Xbox for, like, a year, and I sold it. I don't think I even played it. I don't think so. I got it from ProMe. Yep. And I bought all those games, and I had all these games. Most of them were sealed, and then eventually I was like, ah, screw this. You know, I just sold it off. And then I guess JJP might have Sonic, but I can't see them not making Harry Potter. Like, I think they're just going to rename, JJP's just going to be HP. It's going to just stand for Harry Potter. Yeah. And then look at the cease and desist from Hewlett Packard, if they're still a thing anymore. I don't think they are. I don't know. I mean, maybe HP's still a thing. Are they? Probably. Eh, maybe. I think mine last laptop was an HP. Do they have the rights for Sonic? I doubt it. Sonic Pinball Machine? No. Hewlett Packard presents Sonic Pinball Machine. No. No. No, that's wrong. That doesn't work. That doesn't work at all. No. I don't know. Who knows? Who cares? Are any of those like standouts to you? Well, I think that, like I'm not a Pokemon card collector or whatever, But I feel like that would be really neat, especially if Stern has it with Insider Connected, like where you can, they would have to dedicate an entire section of Insider Connect to the Pokemon thing. Yeah, don't worry about that. Because, you know, people will be driving all over the place looking for machines if there's like a certain Pokemon in this area. You know what I mean? If they did some kind of a really cool cross-promotional thing where, like, they might even be able to do... Now, this is really wackadoo. But, like, because Pokemon collectors are really into Pokemon. Like, they're really, really, really into it. I know that from the prices of, like, the old games, like, for the GameCube and stuff. Not GameCube, Bob. Game Boy. What's the next one? DS? The DS. Those games are worth, like, pretty substantial amounts of money. and the cards go for a lot of money. If Stern would cross-promote with, if you did a certain amount of things, you got some limited edition cards that they would send out to you, that would be off the charts. If you collected, if they say there's a thousand unique Pokemon and you got to 500 and they send you a gold card that only people that hit the 500, there would be a mad rush. And all of a sudden there'd be a whole lot of pinball players that would be new to the game. Because those collectors would need that. Yeah. You know. I don't think they're going to go that far. But they could. Right. You know. And then the first one that collects them all gets like a specialty thing. A life size. A banner. A banner. A stern banner. And whatever. Or make it a mad rush. The first person to 1,000 gets a machine. Yeah. Oh my God. Right. That would be madness. It would. It would. But I don't think people really do that or think like that anymore. Who knows? I don't know what a Pokemon collector is like. I know I'd be after it if I could get a free machine. Right. And I would get dusted quickly. Yes, you would. I'd be like, I'm up to 106. And they'd be like, well, somebody just finished it. They had 10,000 of them. And I be like well I guess I not getting that machine Right Boo But yeah You know you never know They could do that kind of stuff And this because this is a different market they kind of cornering Yeah. You know. Now you had Dungeons and Dragons, which was a different market. You have Pokemon. Harry Potter. Like, pinball is kind of bringing more people in. And if it continues to, you know, they're one or two younger IPs away from maybe the next jump. Get the hip-hop in there. I always have been saying Wu-Tang. Yeah. But what is that other group, BTS? Yeah. No. No. You're not going to see one of them. We have another show on Radio St. Pete. It's a long, long running. It's like 12 years old. It's a weekly two-hour block of music. and I just got a new group from Australia and it's a tropical, I have been saying funk, you could say fudge, but the real word is one that you can't say on air. So it's the Tropical F-Bomb Storm. So that's their name of the group. I was like, well, that virtually ensures they're never played anywhere. Because nobody can say it. So, Joe Crafter said to TFS. TFS, yeah. Tropical Funk Storm. Yeah. Yes. But I wasn't talking about them. I was talking about BTS, the Korean boy band. Oh, my. Yeah, I wasn't. I thought you were talking about the TFS. I was like, no, I don't think they're going to get one. No, no, no. Because that would bring a whole different kind of group to pinball. Do you think pinball is sitting there like, we don't want that group. Like, they could do an ICP pinball machine. They're like, I don't think we want that group kicking the hell out of our machine when it rips them off. We don't want any juggalos. Yeah, they should. Yeah. It's a lot of us. But it's one of those things where, you know, they could, yeah, I didn't even think of the Korean boy bands. Yeah. Oh, my God. Like, Tao listens to them. Chrissy, go buy one of those machines right now. He's like, I don't know how. he'd be like, well, here's a card, go get it. Here, call daddy. That's how I would go. We got our first machine. I don't even know any names of them. What was the one? Big Bang was the one when I was over in Korea. That was like they were an older, they were aging out, but they were still around. And then there was a bunch. I remember I got on the plane, and I'm on the bus transporting to my new home for a year. And this was in 2011 when I went to Korea to teach English to kids who didn't want to learn English. And I'm sitting there on the bus, and on the seat back in front of me, somebody had carved Big Bang Rules. And I looked at it, and I have no idea what the hell that means. It could mean about 12 different things. I went, huh. And I just got off the bus and left. And then when I hit the middle school, I was like, oh, now I understand. That's a band, and bands are big here. I've always said if you want to take over Japan do a Hello Kitty one if you want to take over Korea do a boy band from Korea you'll have all kinds of manufacturing problems as in we're out of machines for 10 years well whatever so you're thinking Pokemon might be fun yeah the others I don't know Sonic I don't really have a lot of nostalgia for Sonic, but it was a big game when we were growing up. And as far as that goes, the first one or two were really good. And because we've been doing the Wii show, some of those have... We've done some other ones that are not so great. Sonic suffers from what Pac-Man has fallen into, where the first one was fun, then Mrs. Pac-Man was fun, and baby Pac-Man, you're like, I don't know. And then there's the Pac-Man pinball hybrid and you're like no i don't like this and now it's like pack party land and pack kart racer and that you know yeah what was that angry pack instead of angry birds you know you're throwing pac-man and stuff you're like you know what i don't need any of this this is no give me the first one and then and we're good yeah that's that's how i felt about sonic and i know there was like that one that was the like the rpg where you're skulking around trying to do stuff i'm like Yeah, no. I don't know. No. But it might be fun. It might be. I mean, it's pinball. How could it not be? Yeah, well. I mean, the theme doesn't catch me. I can show you a couple examples that are not fun at all. Fishtails? Fishtail. Bastard fishtails. Oh, God. It's like I want to get a fishtail just to play it until I can at least be not sucky at it, then sell it or smash it or something. I don't know. But just make one less of those on the planet. But I'll be like, now I can at least say I can do anything on this machine. All right. Well, what else do you got for us? So this week on Saturday, the tickets are going on sale for Lumberjack Johnny's Whopper Chopper 2026. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that's in like February or something, right? It's in May. May? Oh, okay. Yes. It's May 28th to the 31st. But I remember him saying that these sell out fairly quickly. So on Saturday, the tickets go on sale. And if you purchase the tickets on Saturday, you will get 20% off. Nice. Yes. And I know that brings a pretty stout competition. Yes. So the Whopper Chopper is, this year it has three events. It has the main event, there's a woman's, and then there's a little chopper. nice isn't that one night where you can like go different times it isn't like yeah you there's 30 hours of available time to qualify nice all right so if you are interested in that and you can get to it do it that's this saturday what date's saturday that is january 18th all right january 18th because i know people obviously find the show at different times january 18th 2026 Yes. All right. And what about the numbers? We got some numbers to give them? We do. We have December's numbers. December 2025. Number one is Evil Dead. Nice. Number two, Fall of the Empire. So these are most popular. So Evil Dead was the most popular. Fall of the Empire. Okay. It all tracks. And then number three. Want to take a guess? Jaws. Dune. Dune. Yeah. I really like Dune. That's cool. Yeah. Yeah, so look at that. A stern, barrels of fun, and a spooky. Nice. Yeah. Very diverse. Yes. I can see the evil dead. I'm full of regerts that I didn't get an evil dead, but you never know what's in the future. Right. And what were the lowest? Okay. The dullest axes in the throwing bin. Do they have bins of axes? I don't think they do. Yes, they do. Oh, cool. Okay. And then, so, third from the bottom is Looney Tunes. Oh. Yeah. All right. Second from the bottom. All right. Fish Tales. I'm surprised it's taken Fish Tales this long to be on the bottom. I actually think we're the only people that are down on Fish Tales. I think everyone loves Fish Tales. Honestly, it's one of those things where you're kind of like, oh, I love that game. I'm like, oh, my God. I've got to go rinse my mouth and eyes out with, what's that stuff? Antenna. Hand sanitizer. Yeah. So what's the other? The last one. Bottom of the axe barrel is Iron Maiden. Maiden? Yeah. Oh, Maiden's going to come back. Eddie will not tolerate that disrespect. I can guarantee you that It interesting I always interested in this segment because the numbers are so varied It is It surprising how different they are It's wild. Cool. So there you have it. We will be keeping you abreast on all the new stuff. Because I know Lumberjacks has theme nights on Fridays. And they always have a lot of cool stuff going on. A lot of good beers going on. including craft through Sally selection. Yes. So make sure you look for that. If you go to lumberjack Johnny's, just walk up and say, we want some of craft through Sally's select, please. And the guy will look at you like, I don't know what the hell you're talking about. Then pointed the little sign that says crap. Okay. So anyway, uh, that's it. Going to go into some beer. Yep. All right. It's time for everyone's favorite segment. Craft brew. Sally Gonna have to put Your journal down Crap brew Sally child You've been to All the breweries around You've been Running all over The town Tell me what to drink Until I fall on the ground Yeah That's right people Oh, before you get into your beer, I was listening to the Retro Ralph show, and he had mentioned something like an Arizona beer called, like, Church Key. Have you ever heard of that? No. Church something. He thinks it was an Arizona only, so it might be difficult for you to get. If I hear of it or if I try and do some research, I'll get the actual name. Okay. It was on the latest, like, things looking forward to things for 2026 from Retro Ralph. All right. Now, what do you got for us today? So, every year for Christmas, I usually get some variety of beer from Foghorn. And this year, I got two from one of my favorite places. Yes. Drecker in Fargo, North Dakota. Yes. So these were two that came in bottles this time. Normally their stuff comes in cans. Right. But these were from the super mega funk department at Drecker. Yes. And the first one was Sweet Like Death, which was a honey beer. Yeah. Which was really good. It was kind of honey, kind of soury, but not like sweet honey. Yeah. And then the other one, which is really neat, the bottle, is like a record baby. Round and round, yes. And this one is a sour burr liner Jim Weisz. Yeah. That's interesting. Yeah. Well, I know, though, honey, whenever we used to brew wheat beer, I used to brew wheat beer, and I used to add honey as one of the sweetening agents because it paired really well with it. But I also used honey a lot of times to try and bump up the alcohol content without making it too weird, too sweet. The honey wasn't overbearing when you were trying to make your alcohol content more. Right. It's not sweet. Yeah. It's just like a fuel for the yeast. So of those two, which was your favorite? Ooh, tough questions. Yeah. I want to say like a record baby. Yeah. First, because there's the art on the front is really cool. And who says theme doesn't count? Or who says art doesn't mean anything? It does. It means a lot. I really like the cover. It's like the person's face on the cover looks like a record with the lines. I'm sorry, the grooves. Yes. Yeah. But they were both really good. Yeah. Now, what is that Wursteiner? Or not Wursteiner. That's a beer. Berliner-wise? It's sour. Oh, sour. Yeah. Yeah, I always try and find the stuff. I know the stuff you like, and I know the stuff that you're allergic to, so I don't get that stuff. But, you know, it's just one of those things where you kind of like, the craft brew section is always so filled with wackiness. Yeah. And it's hard for me to remember the wackiness you've already had, but those two I was almost sure. I was like, those look new. That looks like a new department. mostly Drekker's mostly are new I think all the time it's always wacky I think they just like release new stuff all the time they make I love their stuff yeah they might be one of our trips this year yeah we could do that yeah like a four day weekend or something I don't know how far away North Dakota is I don't know what a map is I can't I had to put things into a phone like hey drive me to Drekker and and and I'll hit that button that says start That's how I know how far away things are now. It's really, yeah, maybe. Yeah. You never know. I know we've been antsy to get out of here. I mean, like, go do something. Yeah. Because, I mean, for most of our life we lived in Florida. So we would do a lot of road trips to, like, the East Coast. Yeah. And we really haven't taken any road trips out west. No, not too much. No. I want to do the, because I also wanted to do the Indianapolis 500. I want to get down into Indiana a little bit. But we don't want to go when the race is. No, no, no. There's two car museums down there. The Cord Museum, which I like those old Cord automobiles. Okay, this isn't pinball. Or beer. Yeah, well, there is a brewery there that we could go to. I know. Any place I say to, Crap Mousseline has her phone out. Like, search beers near. And then, like, I'm just going to the garage. Search beers near the garage. Oh, there's a crap brew right at the end of the thing. I'm like, okay, all right. No. Yes. Anything else? So people should run out and find those. If you see a drekker, you should try it. Yeah. Unless you absolutely hate that kind of beer, then don't. Well, they have all kinds. All kinds. Wow. Fruit beers. All right. IPAs. I'll look for a high alcohol content light beer. See if they have one of them. Lager. No. They don't have that. They have lagers. Damn. They have light beers. Yeah. Yeah, sure. See, you know, I don't know. You're just doing too much work, man. You got beer that tastes next to like it's making love in a canoe, and it's about 6.4%. I'm like, sign me up, baby. Four of those and a couple shots of rum, and I'm right where I got to be. Oh, well, all right. That's it for this week. Thanks for listening. Thank you, of course, to Lumberjack Johnny's. We'll be keeping you guys abreast of all the awesomeness that's going on there, which is cool because that's been where we hang out most of the time anyway and really you really have to go if you go to lumberjack downies in appleton you have to dedicate like an hour to go and play with the diggers yes yes and then go play pinball because there's a crap ton of pinball machines there yes all right that's an official term a crap ton it's a it's it's between metric and like whatever american is like you know four stones to an eagle's feather i don't know what we have. We just have like made up measurements, but metric is real and then like that one, crap ton is a little bit more official than what we use in America, which is like three cheeseburgers to Uncle Sam's beard. Alright. But no, seriously. Check out the diggers. Alright, thanks for listening everyone. We'll be back in two to three weeks. Shazbot. Nanu nanu. That's it man. Game over man. Game over. Da.
