At some point, I have a friend who is amazing at painting miniatures, and I gave him a replacement for Little Deadpool, and it is a bobblehead T-Rex, and he was supposed to repaint it to look like Deadpool, and actually, I kind of forgot I gave it to him, it's probably been about six months or so, I'm going to hit him up, because I think we're hanging out at their place this weekend. It was a panic flip on everything. and it felt unnecessary like I've already had really really bad days in competitive situations I mean that is actually how I would describe my competitive situations like even talking about competitive not making things happen here what were you drinking that night i was drinking uh i was drinking everything oh my god speaking about drinking oh i gotta put this over here so i have quick access to it uh we had some we had a fun weekend this weekend where we had uh hanging out with a bunch of other parents who enjoy board games and pinball and drinking and everybody came over saturday with their kids which was super fun. Uh, but we opened up, I want to say it was at least five bottles of wine. Uh, it may have been a lot more than that. There was beer and there was whiskey out. I was completely useless all day Sunday. I had, I had plans. I had thoughts, dreams. I had things I wanted to achieve on Sunday and not one of those things got done. Instead, my wife covered for me. She was amazing and took care of our daughter for us, so that way I could attempt to achieve things. Like, I was just going to get some work done. I was going to get a couple hours ahead of the week. I just sat and stared at my computer for a good 45 minutes. And by the end of that 45 minutes, I said, you know what, I'm incapable of doing anything helpful at all right now. And my wife was awesome. So, let's see here. only fives there well there was a bunch of us and I think there were only three of us drinking wine and it was all dessert wines by the way which was super cool because we went out to Napa Valley before it burned down a couple years ago that was the big family trip in the RV and we went to all the different wineries and got like a different dessert wine from each one so we cracked a Casio dessert wine and an Andretti, Mario Andretti, who has a pinball machine, by the way. We went to Andretti's and, oh, wait a second, dessert wines are great, but awful for hangovers. Yes, that's sugar gonna get ya. It did. It was awful. Like, I, and I knew, I knew it was gonna suck. So I, the night before, I took, for Advil, before going to bed, any time I woke up, which was often, that night I pounded a glass of water I was constantly getting up to go to the bathroom and then drinking more water staying hydrated finally our daughter could not handle being by herself at all anymore and came in and woke us up at like nine something and that was amazing that she let us sleep in that late and then I proceeded to basically do nothing in bed for another hour and a half. And then I finally got, it was, I was pounding water and Advil. I probably had 16 Advil across 24 hours, maybe. It was, I feel like I'm getting old, and you can, you don't notice it except when it comes to hangovers, which is fun because I can also, I haven't performed acrobatics in a while, and I'm saying that thinking of Dungeons and dragons lord howard hertz welcome to the stream pb a light for hangovers uh i do uh gatorade typically gatorade and vodka nice okay cool yeah we're on the same page here g2 works great as a mixer skip maddie thank you very much for that follow and welcome to the stream uh it was really important yeah cool cool cool cool cool cool andy samberg in stork's amazing movie. We're in a spot right now, unfortunately, where our daughter had to work back up to TV privileges. She hasn't had them for three weeks because she was getting scared and we think that she was using that as a way to try and get us to just go do stuff with her. So we explained it, okay, if movies are scaring you, the movies that you're typically used to seeing, that is fine and it's okay to be scared, but you need to conquer those fears. In fact, you can't be brave if you aren't afraid in the first place. And we reiterate all of those different points, but at the end it was, if you can't handle the movies, that's it, we're not watching any television until you can prove to us that you're willing to attempt to overcome some of these fears like going upstairs by yourself things like that so we are on three weeks and she has two more days where she has to check off that she went upstairs and did her brushed her teeth by herself and then we can watch frozen on wednesday and i gotta say like i am jazzed about this because if Zoe, my daughter, can't watch television and all of the good cartoons and stuff, that means I can't. So we have had no television. We've been forced to eat as a family at the dinner table for like three weeks straight. And that is amazing. It's great. It's also every once in a while, man, I just want to veg out, eat some pizza, and watch a really cool movie or a new fun Netflix show. I gotta catch back up. Um, yeah, exactly, Evesco, so that's past my bedtime. And it is Tylenol, not Ibuprofen, my bad, which is no longer a pain reducer. I think it's only, uh, they declassified it as one of the two. It's like not a fever, it is a fever reducer, but not a pain reliever. And why are you still conscious? That's fair, I was just excited about David Tennant. Yes. Uh, got it, oh, he's excellent in everything. He really is. David Tennant's amazing. but anyway, we are watching Frozen on Wednesday because we bought our tickets like three weeks ago to go see Frozen 2 on Friday and if my daughter does not work her way up successfully this week and consistently go upstairs but she's going to make it happen she's already past the fear point but there was a chance that we would have to bail on the tickets and that was about the most disappointing thing I have some crazy work stuff going on this week that is going to be just as disappointing or should be, but missing out on Frozen 2 on Friday is definitely going to be the highlight of disappointment, so that's, that's, that's lower. Anyway. Total man can't, yes. Dude, David Tennant's amazing. What was it, uh, he was the bad guy in a movie that I recently saw that I didn't realize he was the bad guy in, and I, I'm not going to be able to pull that back. Uh, how, oh, and staring, she is six now. Uh, she doesn't work her way up and just have to go see it without her. I would, I totally would, but my wife already told me that I couldn't go do that. And when are you not working constantly? Uh, coming up, I have two and a half weeks off with absolutely no work. That is going to be December 19th through January 4th, going out to Chicago and hanging with my family and Zoe's great-grandparents, my grandparents. So I'm super excited. Took the entire time off. There's always a tilt bob installed on every game. All right. As we're going through here, I'm going to walk through the rule set on this one. The rule set is kind of complicated, but it's not that bad. I'm going to turn the music down a hair while we go through this. So across the middle, you have Juggernaut, Mystique, and Sabertooth. You have other stuff, but don't worry about them for right now. Your three primary villains in this are Juggernaut, Mystique, and Sabertooth. To start those modes, you need to hit the battle shot. It's flashing white up at the top inside of a red scoop. That scoop actually has the name, I think it's called the Hell House or something like that. That's where a lot of the game gets initiated. Sure there is, George. Yes, we have Tilt-Fobbs on all of our games. I feel like this game is the scoring bounds. Right now, it's Mech-Suit or Bust. Yeah, actually, it does seem, well, I don't know, Snicked breaks everything, right? because you can bring Snicked into a Disco Multiball at 5x and blow it up. Then again, if you brought a 5x into Mech Suit, assuming you get there, you could blow that up just as much, much bigger. The other one is Mega Crackle Adonis Rex has like a 150 or 100. I feel like I always grab 150 to 200 when I complete it. That's obviously a little bit further down the line, but that at a 5x would be huge. and yeah, no matter what, it definitely feels like it needs balance across the board. I'm not going to argue there. I've got a bunch of other issues. I started submitting all of the issues to Stern. I have gotten not one response yet. Let's see here. Oh man, I love Snicked at Night. Needs balance and voice detects. All right, so you have your three primary villains. To start them, you hit the battle shot. Battle has to be lit. If battle is not lit, you have to spell dead on the left in order to light your battle. Once you beat Juggernaut, Mystique, and Sabretooth, and each of those modes has their own shots that are very clearly lit, you immediately go into your first mini-wizard mode, which is the Sauron multiball. After that, you can then initiate a quest. Now, to qualify or light your quest, you need to first hit the right orbit over here, and that is going to throw chimichangas all over the playfield, which are orange lights. You have to get three chimichangas in order to light a quest. That's just for your first quest. And each one of those is like a mode, but a little bit harder. A little bit scarier, but also worth a little bit more points. And to get to the second quest, you need to hit the right orbit two times. It's once again going to put a bunch of chimichangas, which are orange lights, out on the playfield. grab three of those lights in order to light your second quest complete it, now you have completed Sauron, Juggernaut Mystique, Sabertooth, T-Rex, and Megalodon that gets you to Mega Crackalodonus Rex Boo! Welcome to the stream and some of the pros at Free Gold Watch were avoiding battles and only going for Disco, Locks, and Quests that kind of makes sense I guess, because the left orbit is a really safe shot, even when you brick it, you, uh, it still typically comes down in a very easily savable way, so that kind of makes sense. You just hit that left orbit over and over and over again. You snicked, and the quest can be worth quite a few points. Um, and your other multiballs, yeah, yeah, I could, I could definitely see that. Uh, and we're basically having a con meetup in here, yes we are. And Dice, if I remember correctly, you're gonna be at Pinburg this next year, right? And you're the, you're my drinking buddy, or was that somebody else? Uh, yeah, combo quest beast, lol, is obscenely big, seen someone not me had just go berserk on the target and got about a billion just out of it. Quick, everyone, come to our house, we'll have a three machine tourney. XT, I love those horribly. Yeah. Alright, uh, but I am going to go for the quest. And I just like starting on Sabretooth. I like to feel a sense of accomplishment. That's, I'm going to go with. So the other fun point, so, actually I can't explain this super much right now, but I'm going to go for a target called Snift and try to get my playfield multiplier going. Missed it. All right, game. All right, going left orbit now. Wow, that was... That was something. Left orbit again. There we go. That didn't feel right, though. I have... I'm not going to go so far as to say that I have found the left orbit. But we did just hit an amazing lock shot. Obviously intentional. The first lock towards our ninja multiball. Here we go. Snit. Missed it. Wow. I did not beat Sabertooth. I was trying too hard to hit other things. Alright, so this is fun. We have to get back into our quest by hitting the dead targets. Those are not super safe targets. And now we need both Ds. Go ahead. We got both Ds. Now we have relit battle. Let's go back into it. Nice little nudge there, get it to pop across. Oh my god. I started, wait, wait, wait, I'll do it on purpose, but I'm a woman, does that, wait, oh, whoa, whoa, wait, we have two, hold on, I feel like I missed something, series, the quick everyone come to our house, we have two, a two-tack kegerator, wow, battle scoop kick out at one up always throws it into the bottom of the right sling, and who knows whether the sling will fire or not. That is frustrating, Lord Howard Hurts. Uh, you know I'm drinking, buddy, till the wheels fall off. Yes, dice. Thankfully, I have a drinking buddy. And for the next Thinberg, may the best man not take absent shots before the tournament. But do you play better with absent? That's the question. I'll do it on purpose, but I'm a woman. And that's right. Sari and Dirty Toes showed me an amazing time when I was out in, uh, Oregon And two years ago, or a year ago, we were on our way up to Alaska on our big yearly family trip. And I spent the evening, Sari and Dirty Toes introduced me to Mod Pizza. An obsession now. A serious obsession. I'm from Chicago. I really like certain types of pizza. And now, anytime I want to treat myself, I go to Mod Pizza. I absolutely love that place. Alright, so now we're back in a battle. The shot we could not make earlier. We also had a lit mystery. That's awesome. Weapons will come in at some point. We're going to beat Sabretooth here. Not helpful, Sabretooth. Not good. Why? There, whatever. Every switch does damage, which is why you kind of want to hit the spinners to go towards the back and then go into the pops. That's a great way to do extra damage to these villains. There are three different wizard modes that get progressively harder and harder. Let's start the first one. We actually got an extra ball, too. Let's go. All right, here we go. We are in Mega Crackle-a-donus Rex. Yes, that is right. What you are seeing there is a T-Rex, a Megalodon, and a Kraken. All in one creature. And I drain immediately, but I got a ball save. And I will take that ball save. Woo! and while that's open, we can do damage. One more. Maybe another. All right, and then it closed, and we get a chance to do it all over again. We've got to hit, I think, two blue shots now. There's one. Two. Now it's open. We get to do damage to the Mega Crackle Adonis Rex. There's one. I will take those weapons. Two. Oh my gosh. Wow, we need some control here. Need the control. There's one. Now it's open. We're just going to do damage. Nice little flipper tip there. Did we beat him? Did we beat him? I don't think we... Yes, we did. Okay, cool. Woo! Ubiquitous Swedish Fish. What an amazing name. That's number one. And number two, I need to catch up on chat. I love your setup. Plus, Deadpool is red. Yes, Deadpool is very red. Absolutely. Woo! Speed bonking time for epic points. If I had a stupid amount of money, this is the table I'd have in my house. It is amazing. This table is absolutely gorgeous. I don't even like playing pinball and I want this. I, what's funny is I couldn't stand pinball. Oh wait, we're going to switch. So I couldn't stand pinball until very, very recently. And also I don't like the white. Hold on a sec. Can you actually make your coin color purple? Yeah, we'll just do that. So, um, my, I was big into, uh, old school arcade games, and if I big, I just like playing them. I'm not good at them. And, uh, and my wife, uh, because I got myself an arcade cabinet that's over there, my wife said, uh, I would like a pinball table. I grew up with pinball. It was a Superman game from back in the day. And, uh, uh-oh, somebody did something. Lost skeleton. Thank you very much for that, Paulo. I'm gonna switch back to here, so we can see that cool image of the box. And then I gotta flip back over. Hold on. So, uh, otherwise it ends up going on repeat. I haven't figured out why it is in this scene, but if something happens, we just get a repeat over and over again. Um, and, uh, and my wife said, uh, she wanted a pinball table. I'm like, oh my god, I can't stand pinball. Like, I have zero interest whatsoever in pinball. It feels like it's just a waste of quarters when you go places. The themes are always silly, like CSI and other fun stuff, which I wasn't into. CSI is actually a really cool show. But I said, you know what, if we're going to spend that kind of money and get you a really cool gift, let me figure it out. So I went to the local pinball place, because we had actually two of them, surprisingly, in Fort Collins, and there was a Ghostbusters machine. I was pretty sold on that, just based on theme. And I was playing it, and I'm like, I hate pinball, but there was this guy next to me playing a different machine who kept looking over and like checking in on me. And eventually he's like, dude, uh, I noticed a, you don't have a beer and there's beer here. I'm like, okay, that's pretty cool. I'll do the beer thing. And, uh, and two, uh, he's like, no, it's, you're just kind of slapping things around. You know, there's, there's like actual moves and there's, there's modes to this, right? I'm like modes. What are you talking about? He goes, oh my gosh, let me show you. And he just walked me through. He goes, okay, now try to hit that shot. And I kind of looked at him like, that shot? Like you have that much control over it? And he goes, well, here, let me take over for a second. And he just blew the game up. So he's like, now you try. I want you to start here. Hit this shot. That starts your mode. Now, and once we got into the mode, what shots do you hit? Well, it's the lit shots. And anyway, like an hour later, I'm hooked. And this is about two and a half years ago. And since then, we have gone through, I have seven pinball machines. Now, my wife is frustrated because I'm so into pinball. And she only occasionally gets to play them. But I keep reminding her that it's her fault. So anyway, Ghostbusters would be an awful one to jump in on, too. T-Rex, it was rough. Specifically because Ghostbusters was made by a designer and a software developer who got together. and just imagine two people with nefarious-looking facial features and rubbing their hands together. Let's make a machine that just irritates people. It's going to be mean. That's what we're going to build for people is a mean machine, and that was Ghostbusters. Unknowingly, that was the first machine I purchased and got for my wife, and that's what I learned on was arguably one of the more difficult machines due to how far it's faced the flippers and the geometry of all the shots. So anyway, let's get back into this. We're actually rocking it right now. And his name was Chuck Norris. Thank you so much for explaining how you got into pinball. Dude, G Jinxer. Jinxer. Oh, I was at a barcade recently and the Ghostbusters stream went... Oh my god! Lord BBH. First of all, when I got into pinball, I had a... I'm going to keep going. No, no, no. No, yeah. We're going to get back to the pinball in a minute. But I got that pinball machine without ever having experienced the screen. At the same time, we also have a two-year-old who sleeps horribly, slept horribly at that point. I guess she would have been three maybe at that time. I know game. We're going to get there. So we're playing it, my wife and I, and we end up playing late. It's maybe about 11, 11.30, and the first time we hit the screen, which is the whole game shuts down. balls drain, the lights turn off, and I'm like, oh my god, did we just lose power? And that's when a face shows up on the DMD of a dead woman, and it's the loudest, most piercing scream you have ever heard come from a game, as she is screaming bloody murder for a good ten seconds. And it scared the bejesus out of us, and woke up our three-year-old at the time. It was so awful. Uh-oh. We lost our camera. Hold on. Camera back. Okay. No idea what happened there. Camera just decided to die. But we're good. The screen can and should be turned off. Yes. We immediately went online and found that you could turn off the camera. And that was just amazing. The whole experience was really cool. Anyway, let's get back into this. Okay, by the way, so we beat our first wizard mode, right? You got Juggernaut Mystique and Sabertooth done for the first round. Then we beat T-Rex and Megalodon. We are done with T-Rex and Megalodon, But now we have to refight Juggernaut, Mystique, and Sabretooth. But this time, Sauron is going to help them. And by help them, I mean make the modes a lot harder. So let's go back in. We've got double damage. We have people helping us, though. So let's go with Juggernaut. Let's see if we can bring in a multiball here. So multiball, I'm going to try and hit this lock shot. Ah, and get it to go all the way up the second ramp. That did not happen. We're going to get a ball save there. There it did. God, that is such a cool shot! And now we're in a multiball. While we're in a mode, we're just going to blow this up right now. Alright, he is dead. And we just got an Ataball. Come on, hit a shot. That's okay. We got Juggernaut done. Juggernaut is now completely done for the entire game. Juggie pretty much imploded. Don't even think so. I don't think so either. I think he just died near instantaneously. And now we're ready to go into our second mode. Again. Now we're going to go Sabretooth. We have nobody helping us. Now we need to hit these lit shots. Now notice it's not yellow, it's green. That's because Sauron is helping it. Now we need to hit our green shots again. That did not work out the way I wanted it to. Oh my god. We had... Oh, not enough to actually beat Sabretooth. That sucks. MPC3K, have yourself a wonderful night. I think we have one more ball. Yes. Yes, ball three. We're going to get back in. Here we go. We're going to go back into battle. One more, we're going to be able to get into mech suit multiball, which is another fun mode. That's about the entire game, actually. Here we go, gonna hit left orbit Oh my god, he's gonna die, die, die, die, die, die Just, just, there, he is dead Okay Guys, we are one mode away from beating this game Or getting to the second, to the penultimate wizard mode Here we go. But first, there's no game where you can get that far where you do not get into mech suit multiball. This is fun. Trying to pull in a playfield multiplier here. That. There we go. We've got an add-a-ball right there. Maybe it was not. And we have a super jackpot lit. So we absolutely need to hit that flashing shot right now. With the under over. Woo! That's a double danger. A double danger is not good, by the way. We're just going to let the game cool down for a second. There is a tilt bob inside right now. moving all over the place. We do not want that to happen even a little bit. Alright, this is the final battle. If we beat this, we get to the penultimate wizard mode. Right up the middle. Here we go, we need to hit a green shot. I'm going to go, actually I'm going to use that. And go lock. Alright, come on. Here we go. I'm going to do that. And do that. Do some extra damage up in the pubs. Sure. Really should have thought ahead and brought in some help on this one. Yeah, all the way around. No, I killed it. No. Alright. I remember when I understood pinball machines had modes. Such a good day. That's what got me hooked. Got Twilight Zone and Junkyard to wizard mode, and now I can't stop.
