Hey guys, welcome back. It's no surprise that the Arcade1Up modding community is on the rise. There's tons of products being offered by third parties, and all these things are great because it helps make modding easier, especially for someone that doesn't have the tools to create some of these products. And there's tons of them out there. There's custom artwork for your cabinet, there's lit marquees, and there's even custom control panels. And this is just a few of the products, but there's one area that's uncharted waters. And that's the riser. There hasn't been a lot of people that offered options around the riser. There's been riser artwork, but there hasn't been like a custom riser from scratch. And it takes a badass to make a product like this, right? Someone that might even chase tornadoes. Yeah, I bet you didn't know that. The badasses over at Tulsa Arcades chase tornadoes. If you can chase a dang tornado, you can create a custom riser. And that's just what he did. So in today's episode, we're going to take a look at Tulsa Arcade's Custom Riser. Alright, let's waste no time and get straight to it. So when you open up the box, the first thing you are going to see is a welcome letter, and it's got some instructions and a thank you for purchasing the product. It's a nice touch. I always appreciate this. So, Tulsa Arcades, keeping it classy. Love it. All right, let's get that out of the way. The next thing you're going to see is in the middle, there's a little hardware bag, and then that is actually your LED light strip that lights up the graphics. Then what you'll notice is each piece is very well individually wrapped, which I appreciate because, you know, we don't want things being damaged in shipment, and they do a really good job. So, good job, Tulsa Arcades. Thank you. I appreciate that. We're gonna unwrap all this stuff and then we're gonna start the build process. Alright, as we unwrap every piece I'm gonna tell you what it is. So this piece right here is the blackout piece that's so that light doesn't bleed through. Uh, this is the LED light strip like I told you before. Uh, this right here is the remote for it, and the rest of it is just hardware bags. And then the piece that we really care about is the front piece to the riser. So I'm getting that out right now. You can see that here in a second. But what he got here is he got the graphical artwork sandwiched in between some acrylic. Looks really cool. And here I'll show you the back real quick. So all self contained. Pretty awesome stuff. Okay, step one, we're going to remove these front screws. There's four of them from the front riser plate. So just remove all these. Just be careful, set these aside because you're going to need these in the next few steps. Okay, next step is you're going to remove the dowels. There's four of them. You do not need these, so you can save them or chuck them. And the next step is you want to remove the feet from the front plate, the original front plate, because we're going to reuse those. We're going to put those on the new front plate. They're easy. You just push them in, so line up nice and just push them in. You don't need a tool to do it. All right, there we go. Okay, so now I'm going to flip the riser up just so it's easier to work with. I didn't use the supplied LED kit. I'm actually using one I had on me. So you can order it either way, and I'll show you that when we get to the end of the video. You can order it with or without the LEDs. So I'm just trying to pay attention and put the LEDs in the middle where the graphics are. There's no need for them to be over to the side since there's no artwork on that side. And we're just gonna make sure we line up real, real nice and just pay attention to where they are in relation to where the graphics will be. And then we run the power cable down here at the bottom of the cabinet. Make it super easy. Okay, the lights work. We're good. Lined up nice, and I'm happy with that. So, cool. Testing complete. All right, now you'll notice there's an area where light could bleed through. So they provide this board, which is a blackout board, and they also supply the two screws to secure that to the top. So all we're going to do is put a screw on either side, and that'll just avoid any light bleeding out of the top, which no one wants. So that's perfect, and cool that they added that to the kit. I'm a little anal, so I'm going to go an extra step and I'm going to put some duct tape on those two sections just to make sure there's no possible way any light would be bleeding out. This isn't something that's a suggested step. I'm just doing it because I'm anal as hell, and I'm sure all of you guys are too. So you might want to just add it to the process. Super easy. It takes a second, and everyone has duct tape. So, done and done. All right, we move on to the next step. Okay, we're going to flip the cabinet up once again, and now we're going to secure the new front plate to it. So remember, those first four screws we removed are the ones we're going to reuse for these. There's no need to use any other ones. We just reuse what we already had. So put all four of them in there, and we're going to just screw those down real quick. That's pretty much it, and we're pretty close to being done with this installation. So pretty simple and easy if you follow these steps. No issues. Okay, we're going to fire it up in the dark. I'm shutting the lights off. I'm going to turn it on. Dang, that looks pretty sick, man. This looks legit. I like this a lot. This looks really, really good. I don't think the camera is doing it full justice because it looks better in person, but whatever. And the camera is picking up some flicker from the refresh of the LEDs. You won't see that to the naked eye. But man, this looks sharp. I am really excited to put the cabinet on it and have this as an accent light. It's pretty damn cool. You can cycle it through different colors, fade in, fade out, all that stuff, and just see what you like and what your preference is. It's just kind of more of an accent light, but man, it looks cool. This is a unique, kind of a one-of-a-kind thing. I haven't seen this quite yet, so fired up. I think Tulsa Arcade's hit a home run on this one. Just so you can get some perspective, I wanted to show it to you in a lit room as well. So that's with it on and that's with it off. So it looks really nice. It's a great accent light, and it's very visible even in a lit room. So pretty cool. Here's one last shot of it in a dark room. So this is my Mortal Kombat 11 cabinet that I put it on. And this one runs on Xbox One. So I'll actually put a link above so you can kind of check that video out if you've never seen it. But I wanted you to see what it looked like on the cabinet in a dark room. So we'll scroll down here a bit. And there it is. So it looks really nice, guys. I'm pretty excited. And like I said, that flicker, that's not something you'd see with the naked eye. But man, I think it looks really sharp. It really does make a difference, and it's just a really cool accent light. If you want to include the graphics in it, or you can provide your own graphics. So the cool thing about this is it's kind of a la carte, and you can do what you want. The other thing I like is if you choose T-molding, it looks really nice. So I forgot to mention that. I don't know why, but that's one thing I really liked about it is that it has real T-molding on it. So pretty cool stuff. All right, it's final thoughts time. So what do I think about this thing? I think Tulsa Arcade's knocked it out of the park, to be honest. This is definitely a unique product. I haven't seen any other product in the Arcade1Up modding community for sale that's like this. So that's really neat. So it's unique, it's interesting, it's a really good accent piece, I think, to your riser because risers are kind of plain in general. The installation was super easy, so that was a breeze. And then I like that on the website you can a la carte the pieces and parts. Like I may not want to get the LEDs from them. I can get them myself. Or I may not want to get the artwork from them. I can get that myself. So if you want like a one-stop shop, they can provide that. Or if you want something that you customize a bit yourself, then you can do that too. I like that option. I think that's really neat. I think others will probably like that too.
