But tonight we have an epic duel on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Now, Jedi, what are your thoughts on this game? So this is my second game, also known box. My first game was Jurassic Park. My immediate reaction to this game is called Pure Chaos. the six and I have the premium which has eight balls for the multiball and it is just psychotic like I can't pay attention to what's going on when those multiballs start and it's so easy to start a multiball in this game that it did it's pretty rough someone just said did I put a custom art package in flipstream I have the what they call the 1987 code from inside. It's Delt 31's work, I think is his name. So I just loaded that up. So you'll see a lot of video from the TV show on my... In fact, I'm going to zoom in on that. Here we go. You can see that at the top right. So instead of the crazy flash-style animations, you're getting the actual animations in the background from the show, which I think looks amazing. Now, does that also include a custom sound package? Yes. So you'll hear different music, and I haven't even explored all of it. I hear there might be some vanilla ice in there. There's all sorts of different stuff. And I literally loaded it up, and then we started streaming, so I have no idea what's going to happen. But Just Another Pinball Streams is, yeah, the custom code is sick. Let's see what we have. Now, these are the exact same challenges that we came up with when I played Just Another Pinball Stream in the challenge recently. So that is, first one's going to be high score, which is just a game with no non-standard rules. Extra balls, everything allowed. After that, it's going to be first to complete or initiate pizza multivol. After that, it's going to be complete the third level of training. Fourth is going to be the first to initiate a team up, which is to get to, you have to complete four modes and then hit the left ramp. And we'll go over each of these before we tackle each one, just to make sure everybody is on the same page with how to achieve each of these. another one which is most complete modes we will then do a one ball high score and finally we'll switch directly into final battle wizard mode and see who gets the high score on that cool cool Jedi needs to be sober enough to drive to the hospital that's a really really good point I guess because you're going to need to be able to drive at a moment's notice well I mean yeah There's always Uber. I mean... That is... I never even thought of the fact that you could Uber to the hospital with your pregnant wife. I love that that was the first place you went. CRISPR is right there with me. So you've got to find a link and get over there to it. Or just Google IFPA challenge rating system. and check it out. The rules are pretty wide open. You can challenge somebody in something besides pinball and put it up there if you want to. It doesn't, unless they made a change recently, it doesn't even specify that it has to be pinball. You can do 3, 5, 7, 9, 1 match, whatever you want to. They don't really care as long as both people agree. So we have come up with our own set of rules for tonight and Jedi didn't actually care, I think, what it was that we got challenged, what the challenges themselves were, so I got to pick everything that is not, I feel like, in my favor, though. I just want to throw that out there. And, need X shots to the van down by the river challenge. Well, now that Lockdown Pinball showed us the snicked of TMT shot, I feel much better about being able to get there. And you guys will see what I'm talking about in a minute, because this is a life-changing shot right here. I can more consistently hit the the start episode shot from the left flipper now as opposed to the right. Only with the help of someone like Flipstream it has become easy to set this up jedi this time around i mean a you in infrastructure and networking and software so you know what you doing when you setting up firewalls and making sure everything connects but it was basically like 15 minutes of work yesterday and maybe about 15 minutes of getting everybody's uh getting all the cameras synced up so that way were not talking over each other. It was, for me at least, I feel like it's getting easier and easier as the technology is getting better and better with desk cameras that run these. What's your thoughts on that? Yeah, I mean, it'd be cool if I wanted to get into the broadcasting software and find if there was a way to set a variable so that I could pick from a drop-down that I'm playing Jurassic Park or TNT and then have it change my Backglass logo and all the other things that are specific to the game so that I don't have to rebuild everything every time. Yep. That'd be the nice way to do it. But for now, if I have to double-click a few options, it's not a big deal. Yeah. It's, yeah, man, there's so much tech, and I feel like time, that goes into setting these up, not just the battles, but even streaming in general, just for pinball. Like, Jedi, how many cameras do you typically run? Are you at three cameras, or have you added a hands cam? I have a hands cam, so I do the A6400 facing me, the A6000 on the play field, and then the direct LCD, and then the hands cam. But if I pick up a game that doesn't have a LCD out, then the camera on the hands cam will have to be pointed at the... Right, at the DMD or whatever it is. Yep. and Flipstream says you can just save alternate XML files. That's right. I think OBS actually outputs, it might be, it's either XML or JSON, but you can save those and just swap between them. Oh, cool. That's a good idea. Team Wood Frames, says Joel. That's another fun component. So you and Joel have taken the Carl D'Python Anghelo setup, that entire rig that Carl D'Python Anghelo has been amazing. That's IE Pinball, by the way. Carl D'Python Anghelo set up a nice form and directions on how to build an amazing rig, not just for at-home streaming, but also mobile. But it's expensive because they do it with, and I know there's terminology that I'm sure, Jedi, you know the words, but I call it a rector set materials from when we were kids. And we'd make stuff like that's the kind of materials it's made out of. But you and Joel went through and did it with wood for like a 50th of the price, right? Does that seem accurate? And then the biggest thing I did that's kind of unique to mine is I threaded holes all over the place. So all the little mechanical arms that the cameras mount onto, rather than having to clamp onto the rig, they screw right in. So that makes it really easy. And I put those things everywhere throughout the whole rig. So that makes it pretty easy. And that adds a ton of flexibility. Like one thing you can't see, right here, just out of the camera line. You can see my microphone now. Like right here, hovering up that thing. and I know that you and Joel posted a ton of pictures to the Discord, so if anybody else was interested in that setup, and I think you guys have even done some cool drawings, like, not, I almost said electrical drawings, but more like some engineering-style diagrams. It's really cool to see, like, I was thinking about potentially upgrading to the, sorry, as Flip Chronic called it, the aluminum extrusion, which just sounds fun to say. I was thinking about upgrading, but at this point, I'm not super concerned about traveling with my gear. Because every time I travel and try to set things up someplace else, something breaks. Or something doesn't work either when I get there or when I get back. It's a pain in the butt. So at this point, I'm kind of married to the idea of just buying more and more games and rotating them out and never taking this equipment out of here. So what you guys have done, I'm keen on. I'm interested, and I guess once an equipment list comes out and some diagrams, that I can basically hand that off to my wife and say, build that for me, please. Well, I thought about putting a hinge with a lock pin halfway through, like cutting the rig in half at maybe the forefoot mark, and then having a hinge so the entire thing folds down so that it would split in half and fit in a car. So I thought about doing that. That would be super easy to do. Where that gets nasty is if you run a lot of cabling, like a wiring harness up and over things and it's all nice and tidy. And you have a pro, so you can only get audio. The premium elite guys can get custom video, which puts a lot of the movie video into the game. It's a little buggy. They're having SD card formatting issues with it. but just having the Jurassic Park soundtrack throughout the game as you play is worth the whole thing, but then having a little extra Samuel L. Jackson in your life is worth it. You can never have too much Samuel L. Jackson. I feel like that's a universal constant right up there with Einstein's, whatever that constant is, his universal constant. It's the one where he thought it was his biggest blunder, but then later on after he passed, I think they found out that it was his greatest achievement was the universal constant. Snakes on a Plane, on the other hand, there's nothing wrong with Snakes on a Plane flipstream. It was excellent for the time and still enjoyable. It's something one day when my daughter and I are trying to decide between, like, that, Starship Troopers, maybe, and something else, like, B-style movie. Let's go with Lost in Space. So for Jurassic Park, Tim Law, 79, rebuilt the audio, and then Delt 31 added video to it if you have a premium LE. And then there's also two guys collaborating. One person did the audio exchange, and then Delt 31 did the video code. So, yeah, it's just the video assets have changed and coordinated, and those guys did a tremendous amount of work, and I just now got this load up. So I'm seeing it for the first time, too.
