TL;DR

Kaneda critiques Sonic's design flaws while defending independent reviews against manufacturer-influenced content.

Summary

Kaneda discusses his honest review of Sonic pinball from Jersey Jack, criticizing the game's lack of narrative depth, ramp flow issues, and upper playfield frustrations while acknowledging its uniqueness. He contrasts his independent review approach with other content creators who receive compensation from manufacturers, defends his decision not to accept free machines, and expresses concerns about the game's long-term engagement value despite its initial novelty.

Key Claims

  • Sonic lacks meaningful narrative and is primarily video game clips on loop with minimal story

high confidence · Kaneda, after playing Sonic extensively at Automated Pinball; describes it as 'video game clips on loop' with 'not really much narrative at all'

  • The right ramp loop-de-loop on Sonic sends the ball straight down the middle approximately 40% of the time

high confidence · Kaneda, direct observation from playing the machine; notes JJP coded automatic ball save to compensate

  • Harry Potter production is reaching final builds

medium confidence · Kaneda citing Jack (from Jersey Jack) statement 'this week' about Harry Potter reaching final production

  • Other content creators receive compensation (games, discounts, kickbacks) from Jersey Jack that influences their reviews

medium confidence · Kaneda discusses how creators who are 'paid in a game by JJP' have skewed reviews; specifically mentions Retro Ralph

  • Sonic's upper playfield is frustrating for 99% of players due to skill requirements and inability to trap the ball

high confidence · Kaneda's direct assessment after extensive play; criticizes design decision to not allow ball trapping despite the gap

  • Sonic pricing at $15,000+ is difficult to justify over Arcade edition given the arcade-focused game design

high confidence · Kaneda argues the topper and foil are insufficient differentiators for 50% premium pricing on a speed-focused game

  • Frank Mack (Automated Pinball) may be upset with Kaneda after his Sonic review

low confidence · Kaneda speculating based on ambiguous text message saying 'all done. Thought so' from Frank Mack

  • The Godfather is losing approximately $8,000 in value on the secondary market

medium confidence · Kaneda stating 'The Godfather is losing like eight grand, bro' in response to JJP Limited Edition depreciation discussion

Notable Quotes

  • “I think the game is interesting, unique and fun. But I also don't see the need to buy one right now... I don't think there's enough currently in it to be like, like as a homeowner, I think you might find it a little bit of missing out on some of the things I think pinball people love.”

Kaneda @ Early segment — Core summary of Kaneda's balanced but critical stance on Sonic; establishes his nuanced position against the hobby's binary 'love it or hate it' mentality

  • “Once you get paid in a game by JJP, your review is going to be skewed tremendously to make sure you're saying what you like and parking what you don't. Or you'll say it in such a way that is not really how you truly feel.”

Kaneda @ Mid-segment — Direct accusation of manufacturer influence on content creator reviews; defines his independence strategy

  • “The topper is such a cool topper, but when you're playing, you will never notice it. It is for people watching someone else play.”

Kaneda @ Mid-segment — Critical assessment of Sonic's most hyped Limited Edition feature; questions CE value proposition

  • “I'm at a point in my life where like, I don't know, sometimes when I want to just give a little bit extra, yeah, I'll tip my favorite bartender another 50 bucks. But I never feel like, oh, I'm going to go, you know, $15,000 is way too much money for me to feel like I need to do that to be in the good graces of a manufacturer.”

Kaneda @ Mid-segment — Defends his decision not to buy Sonic CE; critiques other collectors' purchasing motivations

  • “And right now, as the game stands, gang, there's no crazy light shows or moments of wow or moments of pause where the game just goes crazy and makes you smile because it's doing something so unique.”

Kaneda @ Early-mid segment — Technical criticism of Sonic's lack of show/spectacle moments that define memorable pinball experiences

  • “Everyone's like, I played Sonic and everything he said is pretty much how the game is. There's some stuff that's really awesome. There's some amazing uniqueness to this game... There's also incredible toppers beyond it... The topper is the greatest topper of all time, and you'll never actually pay attention to it.”

All right, let's do this. We are here at the beach. It is going to be a great, great show. Let me see these glasses are a little foggy. Hold on. Let's see if we can make sure everybody can hear me. Let's see.
0:30
Let's see if anyone joins. I mean, it is 4th of the July, America 250. Anyone in the house? I'm on the Wi-Fi at the beach, so let's get this going. What's up, guys? Ozzy, what's up? I knew you'd join.
0:54
America, baby. Hey, like I'm going, I'm going, I'm in it, I'm in it. I feel great. I haven't had any booze in two weeks. Getting the sister-in-law wasted is a lot of fun.
1:11
Happy fourth, everybody. We're going to talk pinball. We're going to do it. Nothing stops Kaneda. We know how we do it.
1:18
I love them. I'm just going to keep it like that. All right, let's go here. Oh, I can't go live on Facebook. This is fun. Screw Facebook. All right, perfect.

design_innovation: Sonic's design philosophy prioritizes speed/flow over player control; ramps do not return ball to flipper consistently; no ball trap on upper playfield despite featuring one

high · Kaneda: 'none of the ramps really return the ball to the flipper consistently... the left ramp doesn't do it at all... the right ramp does the loop-de-loop'

  • ?

industry_signal: Content creators receiving compensation (games, discounts, kickbacks) from Jersey Jack in exchange for favorable coverage; creates bias in published reviews and implicit NDAs on criticism

high · Kaneda: 'Once you get paid in a game by JJP, your review is going to be skewed... they get kickbacks. They get discounts... like Ralph makes the video, but he got paid in a game'

  • ?

product_strategy: Jersey Jack's strategy of $15,000 CE pricing on Sonic may be miscalibrated for speed-focused arcade-style game; topper described as 'for people watching someone else play' rather than player benefit

medium · Kaneda: 'The topper is such a cool topper, but when you're playing, you will never notice it. It is for people watching someone else play'

  • ?

collector_signal: Jersey Jack Limited Editions experiencing significant secondary market losses; Godfather CE down $8,000; suggests FOMO-driven inflated new pricing unsustainable

high · Kaneda: 'Godfather CE is losing like eight grand, bro' and 'like nobody ever should have bought those games new for $15,000'

  • ?

gameplay_signal: Sonic lacks substantive narrative compared to licensed IP pinballs (movies, TV, music); video game clips on loop without meaningful story integration; affects long-term engagement

high · Kaneda: 'Sonic is like these are video game clips on loop... There's not much talking. There's like not really much narrative at all, just more than jackpot and what to shoot'

  • ?

rumor_hype: Potential tension between Kaneda and Frank Mack (Automated Pinball) following Sonic review; cryptic text message 'all done. Thought so' suggests possible displeasure

low · Kaneda: 'I don't know if Frank Mack is mad at me or not. He sent me a weird text... He said, all done. Thought so. I don't know what that means'

  • ?

business_signal: Boutique manufacturers' announcement timing for new games may signal cash flow urgency; announcing next title before current production completion unusual and potentially concerning

medium · Kaneda: 'If Barrels game announces... and there's still another 200-300 Winchesters to be made... I would be worried. That would reek of a cash flow problem'

  • ?

venue_signal: Jaws 50th is preferred pinball machine for beach town venues (Ruedin, CT); strong performance at location-based casual players due to thematic fit

medium · Kaneda: 'The machine to get in Ruedin is Jaws 50th. I mean, this is a beach town'

  • 1:35
Because I said the word Winchester, they think I'm a guns dealer. So I'm banned from doing anything live on Facebook for a freaking month.
    1:46
Let me clean this. Hold on. Is that better? I think so. A little bit better. All right. So, look, this has been a freaking crazy week in pinball. I don't know if Frank Mack is mad at me or not. He sent me a weird text. I don't know, man. I reached out to him. I don't know if he's mad at me with my Sonic review, which I thought was very – we're going to talk a lot about Sonic because I think Sonic is the main thing everybody wants to talk about. I think it's going to be one of the most talked about and discussed games in a long time. I mean, as I've said in my review, I hope you enjoyed it. This is a game unlike any other. I think it's going to get a lot of intrigue. I think it's going to get a lot of feedback. And I think I've been very honest about the game. And, you know, I really do love the fact that we've got such a unique, interesting game to talk about. I don't it's a weird thing where like have you noticed in this hobby gang like people want you to like either say you're buying one or it sucks. You know, there's like there's no middle ground as hobby. It's like I you need to declare your you bought it and then defend the game at all costs or you have to say it sucks. And here's why it's like there's no like I think the game is interesting, unique and fun. But I also like don't see the need to buy one right now. And I am especially because they're going to make it for like forever. And then I also think the code is something that I want to see how it develops. That's really how I feel about it all. I don't think there's enough currently in it to be like like as a homeowner, I think you might find it a little bit of missing out on some of the things I think pinball people love. But I do think in a big lineup, this game is definitely going to be unlike any other pin you have.
    3:52
People can spend their money. Ozzy's buddy, Ozzy just said, people can spend their money however they want. Spoken like a man who just bought Transformers LE for $13,000.
    4:02
I was very, not surprised, but Transformer Pro looks so bad. Like so bad. Like it's I'm just like embarrassed for Stern. You see what it is about Stern is like they don't get how something like Transformers Pro is so embarrassing for their brand. Like that flats like that flat sound wave and it's dark lighting. It's it's like I don't Ozzy, I don't think all pros are bad. I don't. I don't think Pokemon Pro is bad. Like you don't really lose much in Pokemon Pro. I mean, there's not much in Pokemon Premium or Elite. Maybe that's why.
    4:46
How did Kari get the automated deal and not you? I don't. There's no. I could have the automated deal. I don't have the room for it. That's why. You know what I'm saying? And also, Kerry does more of... He wants to get into more streaming and walkthroughs of the games and how it works. That's cool. That's not my shtick. The other thing is, I don't want Automated to send me a game to set up, really. I'll tell you why. Because I'd rather just go there like I did and just enjoy the game for hours and go deep into the game with no distractions. Like when you're playing in Frank's office, there's no distractions. It's the perfect environment to learn the game.
    5:36
And then I can go home. So the thing is, I have two little kids. So if automated drops off a game at my house, I really don't have time to play it at night ever or in a dark room. And I during working hours, I've worked on the work week, so I don't really have time to hang on a machine for a few hours. So I'm not, you know, I don't feel like slighted by automated. I absolutely think it's cool that they're going to help carry up like that. And I think Frank is in a very wise way giving each content creator that he's, you know, that he's friends with the things that work for them and their content. And so, yeah. By the way, I'm going to Italy tomorrow. I need to let everybody know this, that there's going to be a little bit of a Kaneda hiatus from podcasting while I'm in Italy for like a week and a half. So I hope everybody respects my break and lets me just have some time with my wife. The kids are going to stay back here with my in-laws. They're all here. So it's going to be great. And, you know, I haven't had like a week and a half, no work, no kids in almost like five years. So I am beyond excited to have this trip and go to Italy, go to Rome, Tuscany, and Sicily, flying out, Delta One, baby, tomorrow.
    7:01
I'm done losing money on JJPCEs. They lose – no. Well, Billy, man. Dude, like Godfather CE is losing like eight grand, bro. But if you bought Godfather CE or Avatar CE or – I'm trying to think which other – like Toy Story CE, you kind of have nobody to blame but yourself. Like, you know what I'm saying? Like, nobody ever should have bought those games new for $15,000. I'm pushing my memory. Ozzy, you better not pause your membership. Better not.
    7:40
All right. So let me ask you guys a question, because here's my main thing about Sonic. I don't know if there's a lot more coming. I don't think there's going to be. Like this is not going to be a mode based game. I think what we see is predominantly what we're going to get. I know there's going to be a few like mini wizard modes and maybe those are the modes, but that's it. And I just, you know, I'm having a hard time. You know, you guys have probably watched some of the new streams lately. I'm having a hard time, like, really knowing what owning this game intimately in your house is going to be like after a month or two because of, you know, it's not like a movie game. It's not like a TV show game. It's not like a music pin. And this is like really a unique game, you know, like Pokemon is in the same boat. It's like you're taking something that is predominantly and Sonic's even harder than Pokemon because Sonic is like these are video game clips on loop. So right. And there's not much talking. There's like not really much narrative at all, just more than jackpot and what to shoot. So I am a little bit like worried that like, yeah, like it's all going to be about the gameplay and the fast nature of the game. But, you know, and because you can select every level when you start the game, a little bit like concerned about all this because it's like with Guns N' Roses when you could select every song right away. I feel like they should have made some levels, you know, like hidden until you progress more through the game. I'm a little worried that there's not going to be tons of stuff to achieve and try to unlock.
    9:41
And the stuff that I was even trying to unlock with opening the coin door was impossible to get all those emeralds. So I'm just worried that it could be super easy to see so much of the game and then way too hard to see some of the other stuff. And right now, as the game stands, gang, there's no crazy light shows or moments of wow or moments of pause where the game just goes crazy and makes you smile because it's doing something so unique.
    10:13
So again, I don't know what the vision of the software team is, and I wonder what this game will ultimately end up becoming. And I think it's a very fair, like, my curiosity around Sonic is very fair. The reason why I'm just sort of a little bit over most pinball content at this stage is the majority of them are trying to help their distributor friends sell the game.
    10:38
And I just feel like all of it is designed with that agenda. And I even told Frank, I'm like, you know, look, I'm going to give my fair and balanced review of what Clank Sonic's like. He's sold a bunch of CEs, so they're doing well financially. The game's not selling nearly at the level that Harry Potter sold, and that's understandable. It was never going to do that. I think Jack just said this week that Harry Potter CEs are reaching their final production of those games.
    11:10
I'm curious if they're going to reveal the final total number of CEs they've made, but for the most part, I think that it's been a very successful game for Jersey Jack. I still think Guns N' Roses might have outsold Harry Potter. I'm not sure. They definitely made more money on Potter because of $15,000 CEs, and I think they sold over 3,500 of those in CE trim.
    11:39
Before I played Sonic, I thought it was going to be one of the best games I ever made. After playing it, I got bored of it after four plays. Well, William, like here's the thing. I don't think four plays is enough to either claim a game is great or to indict a game like for like all of us have jumped on a pinball machine and had, you know, you've had like four incredible balls where you think this is the greatest flow game ever. And then you've had four games where you brick, brick, brick, brick, brick, and you think the game sucks. So I really would encourage you, William, to obviously play it more. I do think that the upper playfield for the majority of pinheads and the majority of pinball players is going to be a little bit more frustrating than fun. I know someone sent me an Instagram video loop of how you can play the upper playfield with ball control. You can use the upper right flipper and hold it up and that passes the ball over and you can pass back and forth. But you know what? 99% of people do not have the skill to do that. And I mean that. And also like that doesn't help you when you're in multiball and you're trying to hit an individual shot up there and keep the second ball alive. So get ready for like a lot of just I don't know. I just feel like it's going to be fun for a while, that upper play field. But I do worry that it's going to be also very frustrating. The fact that you can't trap the ball up there.
    13:12
I think it would have been better if Jersey Jack had made it so you could trap even, you know, even though there's that big gap. But I do think they should have angled the flippers up there where you could trap up there.
    13:26
And that's the design decision. I know why Richie wouldn't probably did it the way he wants to keep the flow going, wants the speed going. But it does make lining up some of those upper playfield shots more of like you're flailing and you're just hoping you hit stuff versus you feel like you have control up there.
    13:47
Where's Brenda going? Hold on, I see Brenda walking away. My bad. We're reserving a spot at the beach. Let me see what she's doing. Let's call her. Let's buzz her. Brenda is so adorable. Like, I got so lucky. Hi. Hi, where are you? I'm up. I'm up. See above the shack? Yeah, I don't see you there. I'm what? See me? Oh, I see. Where are you going? It's really hot and I'm going to go back to the house. They want to come down for an hour. I'm just going to give them the car keys. Can you just bring me my Pokemon bag because there's my wallet in it? I think it's safe, but I just want to, you know. Sure. You're looking spectacular. Thank you. I just want to show you off to everybody live. And Ozzy hasn't hit with the sake money yet. I'm shocked. Oh, sure. I think he wants to see your sexiness. Uh huh. Okay, that's getting all sorts of weird. Is it getting weird? Now I turn a whole new territory. You're on speaker, they're hearing you. Mm hmm. Alright. I'm bringing over your mic. Alright, love you. Alright. Well, here's the thing about the upper playfield and the flow. I think the one big miss on Sonic, and it's not just one big miss, but the one, I think, design decision that's just going to be interesting, okay? I've been trying to be very fair about this game, is that none of the ramps really return the ball to the flipper consistently. Like, the left ramp doesn't do it at all. It sends it to the upper playfield. And the right ramp does the loop-de-loop. But when I played it, the loop-de-loop went straight down the middle like 40% of the time. And I mean that. And JJP knows it does that because depending on the speed, it's going to loop-de-loop and send the ball straight down the middle, which nobody likes. And that is why they have coded on the game in automatic ball save whenever you hit the loop-de-loop ramp.
    15:55
Not sure I love that. It's great up here. You can work up here. Come say hi. Come say hi. There's Brenda. How's it going, love? Look with her.
    16:09
See, in a, is it, you're done? Are you taking my glasses with you? I know, but these are my prescription ones. Bring them back. Are you bringing all the family? The chaos? Oh, man. It's great up here. All my stuff's in here. The thing is right now is like the, you know, the Ozzy just, Ozzy just, Ozzy just dropped a hundred bucks. Come say thank you, Ozzy for the sake. Brenda had some sake last night. We'll get some sake tonight. Let's get some sake tonight. Let's get everybody's sake bombs. I haven't had a drink in two weeks. Thank you. And Ozzy, we're going to be going out with Ozzy and his beautiful wife in New York when the UFC comes through town. When's that happening? Ozzy, October? Right? October, November, something around then? Sweet. Cool. Thank you so much. Lost Americana. I will put that money in that Sarpita Pudges. There it is. November. November. Perfect. We're there, November.
    17:21
She's out. She's out. She's out looking for a better husband. Look I absolutely encourage everybody to play Sonic You know it so weird It like I want everybody to play it I think you need to play it before you buy it And when you just say this stuff like people get you know it gets mad the people that ordered it that haven played it yet It so weird Like you could see it in there Like they like don don say anything that going to make me second Guess What I Just Did. It's like so weird. But when you do buy it, buy it from Automated, buy it from Frank and Mike, and I don't get any kickbacks. I don't get anything. That's that. That's how it works. The other guys, they get kickbacks. They get discounts. You know, this thing, like literally these content creators, like, look, you know, like I get Ralph makes the video, but he got paid in a game. And I know behind the scenes he's telling everybody the game is really hard, but you can't say that. Once you get paid in a game by JJP, your review is going to be skewed tremendously to make sure you're saying what you like and parking what you don't.
    18:42
Or you'll say it in such a way that is not really how you truly feel. And what's crazy about these guys, all of them, they don't need the money. If you don't need the money, why do you want to wake up and make content for a company and remove your ability to be free, baby? This is the land of the free. I can say whatever I want. And everything I've said about Sonic, I think has been more helpful, more articulate, more honest, more in line with how you will experience the game when you play it. I'm already reading in my Patreon chat. Everyone's like, I played Sonic and everything he said is pretty much how the game is. There's some stuff that's really awesome. There's some amazing uniqueness to this game. There's some getting used to this game, unlike any other game out there because it is so unique. There's also incredible toppers beyond it. Everyone's going to experience this. The topper is the greatest topper of all time, and you'll never actually pay attention to it. You see how those two contradicting things can happen? It's the coolest topper ever on a pinball machine and you'll never pay attention to it because the game doesn't do a good job of pausing and creating a moment. You need a mode. You need a reason to sort of trap the ball and be looking up there. It's not in there yet, people. Trust me.
    20:12
Did I save Bond from – I probably did. Well, the problem with Bond, you know, and I love Bond and his enthusiasm. The problem with Bond is he is the epitome of cheerleader or executioner. There's no middle ground. He's either like, this game is great. I can't wait to get it to this is the word. This is another shitty JJP game. And I'm like, that doesn't need to be like that.
    20:40
No FOMO on JJP games. Why Rush play at the arcade? I agree they should have probably limited the CE to $1,000 because I'm curious, will they sell $1,000 of these at this much money? I mean, the topper is amazing, but I will say I could live without the topper and live without the foil and live without – I mean, it's hard to really – On this game especially because the artwork looks so similar on all them.
    21:18
It'd be hard to justify that you would pay 50% more for the CE over the arcade edition of this game.
    21:27
Sonic is a kind of video game arcade game. It's all about speed. Because so much of your focus is just going to be on the speed of the game. And nothing is removed from the arcade machine when it comes to mechanics and software, anything.

It would be, I don't know, I don't think, I don't know if the topper is like enough. That's a lot more money. Like you could get almost an entire, you could get a whole other pinball machine for what is really just going to be the topper experience. It's a lot of money. It's a lot of money. I mean, again, this is pinball. People are seemingly comfortable losing tens of thousands of dollars buying what they think is a limited edition game and they get hosed every year. So, yeah, I think Sonic is going to have an interesting window of exploration, if you will. I would encourage all of you to just absorb as much content as you can. I think it's great. There's a plethora of content out there for everybody to watch. There's great 4K content streaming. I think Joel just streamed it to explain the rules to everybody. Flippin' Out's been having streams. I think Retro Rob's going to throw up a stream. I know Don has had time on the game. I know Kerry's going to get a game. Kerry bought a game. I don't know. I don't know why Kerry would buy it if Automated's going to give him one to review. I don't know if he bought it or not. Sometimes I think people make these decisions. I get it because you go over there, you meet the company, you're hanging out with Steve Ritchie, and it just seems like the right thing to do. But the difference is like, you know, I'm at a point in my life where like, I don't know, sometimes when I want to just give a little bit extra, yeah, I'll tip my favorite bartender another 50 bucks. But I never feel like, oh, I'm going to go, you know, $15,000 is way too much money for me to feel like I need to do that to be in the good graces of a manufacturer.
    23:32
The topper is a statement. Albert, trust me when I say this. It's such a cool topper, but when you're playing, you will never notice it. It is for people watching someone else play.
    23:44
You know? Money is tight for many people. Well, let me tell you, not in this town. Not in this town, guys.
    24:00
You know, everyone's different. But, man, I live in a town with, like, I mean, there's a lot of wealth in this town. These people don't have bad months. They don't need to slow down, man. Literally, I'm at lunch and it's literally $3 million, $5 million. These are boats, bro. People are just rocking up to lunch and we're waiting to see food in $3 to $5 million boats left and right. What do you think their house costs? How many houses do they have? Like a pinball machine for $15,000. They don't care. They don't buy pinball. No, they don't. You know, if I was a pinball marketer and I should have been if they had listened to me, the opportunities to like reach people with nice homes and explain to them how like one of the greatest works of art you can put into your home is a pinball machine. They would buy it. But no one, you know, the marketing in pinball is just Mickey Mouse marketing for the most part. They don't do a good enough job showing how cool a pinball machine looks in a really nice home. They just don't.
    25:04
Too much of it is always targeting pinheads, but not presenting it as one of the most unique items you can put into your house. I look at a pinball machine like it's like buying a grand piano. It is beautiful, it is interactive, and it will be a statement piece of your house. Now, what I wouldn't do is encourage people to turn a room into an arcade and have 15 of them in a room. I actually think what makes – I love it when pinball stands out in a home because there's not like 10 in a row. But again, for some of you, you have the space. It's what you want. More power to you. I'm not hating. It's just my personal preference. I think empty spaces and the space between things are what make things beautiful. I think having too much of the same thing robs you of the ability to focus and enjoy just the one thing you have.
    26:05
Fifteen is the magic number for some people, Ozzy, for some people. You have the room. Again, some people have 5,000, 8,000 square foot homes. I live in a little meager 1,900 square foot home, which is ridiculous per square foot what I pay. They don't buy Pinball. How many people in Ruedin have a Kement machine in S? Not many. Not many. You know, the machine to get in Row Aiden is Jaws 50th. I mean, this is a beach town. I mean, you guys, let me see if I can give you guys a little bit of a view of what's going on here.
    26:40
I mean, this is where I live. Like, this is five minutes from my house as a bike ride. It's funny, when I go, when I do, like, work calls from here, because the Wi-Fi here is better than my house, people are like, where are you vacationing? I'm like, bro, I'm a five-minute bike ride from here. I feel so blessed to live in this town. You know, it's like it's a slice of heaven. It really is.
    27:09
I'm never selling this house. I don't care how much money I make or how much money I like. I don't care. We're always keeping this house, keeping it in the family.
    27:20
Yeah. No, it's a beach town like three, four months of the year, Ozzy. But then it's like, I'll tell you what's great about this town is it's like you actually love the offseason because then the real community is like is here with you. You know, the super rich folks who have like a house here and then they go somewhere. I was like, but the community aspect of this place is what I love. Like our neighbors, we're all talking. I make fast friends with everybody here because there's only 3,300 people that live here. I've made more friendships and more meaningful connections as a community in two years here than I did in 25 years in New York City.
    27:56
25 years in New York City and your neighbors don't care who you are. Everyone's obnoxious. People complain about you to the co-op board. They don't even knock on your door and say, hey, could you do that? They'll complain to the co-op board when they live right next to you. It's like, fuck. It's like F off. And everyone in New York thinks they're so important and is incapable of just having a conversation. Now, don't get me wrong. There's still a lot of that in these Connecticut towns. But those people are just a-holes, and they're a-holes anywhere they go.
    28:26
But predominantly, you get more nice people than those people. You know, I had a Karen moment earlier today because I was here before it opened. Like basically the beach is supposed to open at eight and we're going to set up like your like, you know, your our tent and our chairs and this woman comes over to me like no one's here. I'm here at 715 almost an hour before and I'm just grabbing three chairs and putting them under my tent. She's like, you're not allowed to reserve chairs without people in them. And you're not, you know, and we're not even supposed to be here right now. And I'm like, you're here right now and you're reserving chairs like relax. Early bird gets the worm. That's the way it works in my life. Don't don't don't roll up on me like you're going to police my ability to take three chairs for my old in-laws who have a hard time like walking. Just get out of here. You know, who are you like? All right. So here's the thing. Do you guys have any questions about Sonic now that I've like played it, played it to the point of almost exhaustion? Any questions whatsoever? I wonder what Ozzy hit up Frank Mack. Be like, are you are you upset with Kanaeda? I don't know why he's like ghosting me all of a sudden. Like, what did I see? I don't know. He sent this weird. I'm trying to figure out what he meant. He said, all done. Thought so. I don't know what that means. I was like, all done at what? I don't know.
    30:08
I think I said very good things about Sonic. I do. I think I made everybody curious enough to really play it.
    30:21
I left with saying goodbye. It might be an hour show today. I don't know if I'm going to be able to go. I'm going to have a whole other 90 minutes because I got to actually just watch our chairs and stuff and want to make sure.
    30:38
We're all good. I mean, Brennan's, I'll tell you this, it is hot though. And like, it is a, it is a little bit of a war of attrition. Fireworks. We're here for the fireworks later. Like we just want to kind of camp out here all day, take turns watching the chairs. But like the fireworks are like 930. So it's a, it's a long wait. And I love, I love my in-laws. I do. I do. I, it is, I'll tell you that the most challenging is just everyone's mood swings when you're on top of each other. is so fascinating to watch. I don't know, part of me is just like, here's how I was raised. Like, if someone's buying you dinner, like, and taking you out to dinner, put a smile on your face. I don't care. I don't care what's going on up here. I don't. I don't really care. I'm about to put a $500 dinner in front of you. Smile. Engage in conversation. Laugh a little bit. Enjoy your margaritas that I'm paying for. I'm not even drinking. I'm literally throwing margaritas in front of everybody. Enjoy life. I'm not here for this low energy mopeyness. I need main character energy when Kanaed is out with his beautiful family. This is the young kids. I need main character energy. I'm not doing this. I don't sit in restaurants with mopey face people. What's wrong? Whatever it is, deal with it later. I'm not doing it. I'm not dealing with this sourpuss look on your face. Like, you know, because you know what? Like when you work really hard for your money, you know what it costs to put a $500 dinner on a table. Like, you know, appreciate it with your presence. And I don't. And it's a very like Gen Z thing. I don't care. I don't want to hear how life is unfair and how things are too expensive and how you don't know what you want to do with your life. Everyone needs to grow the F up and figure it out because no one's going to figure it out for you. And have some confidence and use the abilities you have, use the skills you've got and look at the world and say, what does it need and how can I add value to it? I don't know what to tell you. And it's not all just going to work out. You ever notice this about life? People have this platitude. It's all just going to work out. No, it's not. No, it's not. People who have a plan will get there. People who have goals will get there. People who take the first step to do something, they'll get there. But if you don't have any plan and you just want to complain about this and that and point fingers at everybody else, I don't have time for that. Yeah, life's expensive. Yeah, that fried rice was $20 cheaper 10 years ago. What are you going to do about it? It's in front of you. It's got lobster in it. Smile, eat it. Let's have some fun. Margaritas are amazing. You know, what's funny about, well, the reason I'm treating people is they're going to be watching the kids while we're in Italy. Look, I have a very simple thing. When you come to my town, you come to my restaurants, you're a guest in my house and guest in my town. I'm paying for you.
    34:01
That's how I roll. I was raised right. I have a Sicilian mother. You are a guest in our house. You're not going to be taking out your wallet from Ireland with euros and drop bills down on my favorite restaurant here. That's how we roll. So it's different. But at least smile at the dinner table. That's all I ask. Nothing much. Namaste, baby. You hear the whistle? It's like glowing whistles.
    34:36
What is hard to navigate is the 180 mood switch. The 180 mood change, like literally. And then like one sister will go from like being in a good mood, the other is like, and then they switched last night. I'm like, what happened here? What happened Can we all just like have a three stretch where we just like nothing bothering somebody
    35:05
So the next barrels, you know, look, I would be worried if David Van Ness announces the next game with so much runway and he hasn't finished half of the Winchesters yet. I would be worried if it gets announced this soon because that would reek of a cash flow problem. 100%. If Beryl's game announces and there's still another 200-300 Winchesters to be made, and I don't know how many Winchesters they've made to date, I think around 250, I would be worried. I think the normal thing is to release a game, usually with these boutiques, like two months before it's on the line, where you only have a handful of final builds of the game that is going out.
    35:58
What do you think of the Toten game? Again, everybody knows the story on Toten. It's one of the most beautiful games of all time with some of the coolest mechs of all time that is the most boring game after like a few hours. I mean it. Like I try to work like I do. I've had Toten in my house. It is stunningly spectacular. It's the greatest location game ever. It really is. It is the worst game for homeownership. Now, if you like really, really simple Bally Williams games where you can see the end of it every week, then by all means grab one.
    36:46
But I found that game to be more of a showpiece, and it is. It's a stunning game to walk up to. You know what I liked about Toten more than modern games? It's one of those games where like when your guests come over, they can hop on it and see some amazingly cool stuff. And they will be like, wow, it's got that. But the person who owns it is going to be so bored of seeing that stuff. And the game is so shallow code wise. I don't know. Enjoy life. Drink as much Italian red wine you can. Beautiful. Bill Brandes, I love you, brother. I'm going to Italy tomorrow. Billy, I love you. So you've, you know, I don't tell you this all the time, but being a friend of yours and seeing, you know, how you live and how your outlook is on life and you are what young people need as a mentor. And I mean that because, like I always say this, I want successful friends. I want people that are winning at life around me. I want to absorb that energy. I want those to be the people that when I have a question, I ask those people. The problem with most people in life is they ask people who are losing at life advice.
    37:58
And they get advice from people that are pessimistic, that are negative, that aren't happy with their lives. And what is it? Misery loves company.
    38:07
And every time I talk to Bill, he's like, you know, he's openly transparent. Chris, I'm doing this. It's making this. It's doing great. I'm doing great. Sabrina's doing great. We've got these Frenchies like life is good. Life is beautiful. You know, one of my favorite times ever going to Tomy Jazz was with Bill and his parents. It was like amazing. Bill's like, you know, we can get into all the Michelin star restaurants. We don't want that. We want to go somewhere local that's like off the beaten path. And like it was amazing. I'm like that's – I remember those moments like they were yesterday. It's just beautiful. And I like to think that I might dish out my advice to Brenda's sisters a little bit strident at times because I just think people need to stop letting fear and anxiety and insecurities drive their lives. Like, we're all going to die. It's so short. I'm going to be young and educated and no one's stopping you from doing anything. And I even say, like, even though this doesn't make a lot of money, this podcast, I made it out of thin air, makes more money than they're making, like, studying things that are, like, throwaway degrees. And this is so tiny. Like, if this was anything with any real following, I could, this would be my job. I think the next Barrels game. So here's the thing. I had like a little bit of like, oh, is Barrels Carl or SpongeBob? I think here's my I'm going to give you like a weird take that is going to make you confused because I don't know what it is. So here's my case for Dungeon Crawler Carl.
    39:47
I heard that Carl D'Angelo was working on it and is a big fan of the IP. I heard that he was working on it before he did Winchester. So I think Dungeon Crawler Carl as a game might have been Carl D'Angelo's homebrew game that he was like tinkering on the way Keefe Elwin made Iron Maiden in his basement as Archer. And I could see David Vaness sort of doing the reserve program now because he doesn't want to get caught with his pants down in another Winchester situation where he says there's 500 and like 700 people want it. So he's created this, you know, I don't like it, but it's a way for him to open the order banks up arbitrarily, you know, based on some, you know, demand after the launch. But then I see the artwork and I'm like, this art's not good. I see the dungeon crawler art people praise it. The art looks like it's mid-90s computer-generated stuff.
    40:53
So it's either Barrels or P3. And that's it. It's one or the other. But the reason why I don't think it's I think I don't I don't think it's barrels is David Van Es has said time and time again, our next game is a theme everybody knows. That is why I'm on the record is 100 percent going to be SpongeBob. And I think the pinball at the sea cruise is is another reason why he wants to do that cruise because pineapple under the sea. I think all of it's connected. I think he's being a little cute. David loves to do these cutesy little things. I think it reeks of the cheeky nature of Beryl's marketing.
    41:35
Dungeon Crawler Carl I think is P3 Multimorphic. I think not everybody knows that theme. In fact, most people don't. It's not a household name. It's not mainstream.
    41:48
And so I don't expect – and what's sad for Jerry in the P3 platform is like when you go into Pinside, When people say it's going to be multimorphic, they're like, oh, no. Like, they're disappointed.
    42:02
It's not me saying this. It's the people on the thread. So, yeah, SpongeBob. Now, let's for a minute stay on SpongeBob. Is SpongeBob going to crush from barrels? I think it's a weird theme. I do.
    42:22
See, I think it's another, like, it could be another Doom-like moment for him. Like I don't think like Spongebob is like really what this demographic is into. I know how popular it is in culture, but I think its popularity is gone in a lot of ways. The recent movie didn't do well at all. I don't think young kids are into Spongebob. I think they're into other stuff now. And I don't think anyone in our age demographic is really into Spongebob and is watching or repeat watching. Watching Spongebob episodes. So I think David once again gets excited by very large IPs that aren't really culturally the right theme for this demographic. I think Joun is a great example of that. And I think he's, I've said this before, I think he is so confused and insecure about what people will actually buy, which is why he's doing this reserved program. Because it's basically a way for him to hedge his bets.
    43:31
So if he overestimates the demand for the theme, he's fine because he's not going to lose any money. It'll hurt him tremendously financially, but he won't regret limiting to 700 because he can't sell 500 dunes. What he's really nervous about is if he says there's only going to be 700 SpongeBob's and then a thousand people want it. So he's done this to try to like he's basically done it so that he never has another Winchester moment again. And it is burning him that he's seeing Winchester sell for nine thousand over stickers and he's not seeing a single penny while he's having cash flow issues and his margins are terrible. It's killing him. And so he's trying to find a cheeky way to get some of that money. And it's not limited. It's the dumbest thing. The early buyers, I hate the fact that the early people that commit to buying the barrels game are committing with a non-refundable deposit to a limited number game that is not actually limited. I think it's going to backfire. I think it's going to kind of annoy everybody. And I think it's going to I think he's going to regret doing it. I do.
    44:57
What do you think would have been a better for the younger kids to get engaged in that? Look, you know, let me give you real quick, like a better thing than Spongebob would have been Lion King. Probably hard to get. I'm just going to give you better themes than Spongebob. A better theme for like I would go try to go get Toy Story 1.
    45:18
Is Disney never going to let you make Toy Story 1 even though that Toy Story 5 is out? So what do you think? So maybe that's OK, but better. OK, I would go get if you want like a multi-generational thing.
    45:33
I don't I don't I don't G.I. Joe is not for another two years. I mean, I think like, you know, there's always like people that think like Thundercats. But I don't know. I just feel like I wouldn't even go down that road. I mean, I would pick stuff that's more like our age demographic.
    45:57
The Minions, you know, I think the Minions would be really fun. I do. I think the Minions would do really well because the Minions are so quirky and weird and be so funny. You could just see a little Minions world under glass and grew. Now, Minions is huge. I mean, I was shocked when I looked at the biggest entertainment properties in the world. The Minions is above Toy Story. It's almost bigger than almost anything Disney. I think Mickey Mouse is the biggest Disney and Winnie the Pooh. But when you think about Pooh Bear, Pooh's World Under Glass would be pretty interesting. You could have a lot of fun with it.
    46:37
But Minions is like huge property. And they're very funny. Roblox, nah. I don't know about Roblox. I don't. I don't think anyone 40 to 60 is playing Roblox at all. I don't.
    46:52
I mean, maybe this is me speaking, but I don't. But I know David is, I think what makes me excited for Baryls is, you know, I'm just reading the room, but the vibes around them.
    47:12
I feel like there's a lot more excitement to see the next game from Baryls, Spooky, and J.J.P. than there is to see the next game from Stern. You know, even though Elwin is like going to bring with a lot of there's going to be a lot of excitement for Elwin's next game. But Stern in general has lost the they've lost the moment. Like a new Stern game comes out, bro. And it's like two weeks later. Like it's like, did it even get released? You know, and this is Stern's problem. Like by the time Ozzy gets his Transformers LE, nobody cares. You know, they really have a... What's up, buddy? Hey, Kale. You want to come say hi? Hiya. You're on camera. Dada? Yeah? Can I bring this down or back down? You want to wear that? Yeah. Okay, hold on. You ready? Come here. Come over on. Yeah. You ready? All right. You good? I'm going to show everybody.
    48:25
America 250, the future of this great nation. Yeah. Well, I'm doing the live now. Yeah, no, you can take it. Take it. Yes. All right. I'm giving up, giving the chain to the boy. It's kind of annoying to wear, to be honest, because it keeps flipping around. I know I don't have my shirt on, but, you know, I'm at the beach. I've got my Italian tan. Brenda's got no, she's got no color. Pasty white Irish. She's so jealous of, like, the color I can get with my Mediterranean skin. Um, I think, I think Fallout's, I think, look, I, I, this is not, this is not even like a bold statement. I do think Fallout's going to be game of the year. I think it's going to beat Sonic. I'll tell you why. I think Elwin is angry. I think he's coming back with a vengeance. And I think Seth realizes if this doesn't hit, we're just totally screwed. So Stern's in big trouble is what we say, but Stern's really, we're really feeling like this company is kind of, it doesn't have its mojo anymore. And, you know, Kale knows this and other people know this. When you know people over at Stern, that's why these rumors are happening, that Stern is really starting to, you know, is probably in the most vulnerable position it's ever been in. They have burned their collectors. They've released so many unfinished games in a row.
    50:11
They've picked too many questionable themes. They let too many boutiques grab themes that are amazing. And ultimately they passed on way too much significant financial loss to their loyal customers over the last five years. It's like a house of cards. It's like leaking water. They didn't fix it when they needed to and now it might just be too late.
    50:35
And I think they've just lost so many people and you just can't put a J.J.P. game, a $10,000 Sonic next to a Stern Premium And look at them both with a straight face and be like, yeah, like I see it. It just doesn't work. And then you especially can't put a Beetlejuice next to any Stern ever. I get some Stern shoot better. But again, like, look at what this company is giving me for $9,999. And then look at what Stern's giving me.
    51:03
And I think it just might be too late. Kale, it's not SpongeBob. Kale, what is it? Kale, can we break an exclusive right now on what Barrows' next game is? Can we do it like we do the old school? Kale and I, we're experts at this. Can we break it? Text me, baby.
    51:23
Is Frank Mack really? Is he not? Is Frank, is he like upset? Like, I don't know what's going on with Frank.
    51:30
I'm going to text him right now. Hey, buddy. I just wasn't sure if you were mad or anything. I get that.
    51:51
Oh, okay. He's good. We're good. Of course we're good. Can I show you the cutest picture? I mean, seriously, do I not have...
    52:27
Where did he chime in with what it is Is it He That plane sounds like it's trash. Jeez, that's scary. It's like a terrifying sound. You know, on 4th of July, you get a lot of these older planes, these like military planes flying around. How cool is my kid, though? Look at this.
    53:09
Already, like, this is where he's going to be a rock star. Look at this. He's like, he feels it. He's like Jimi Hendrix, just a rock star.
    53:25
All right, is it He-Man? See, here's the other thing, is like the He-Man movie bombed, and like Castle Gra... Yeah, I don't know. I mean, I could see David trying to make a better version of Alice Cooper's Nightmare Castle with He-Man. I don't know, man. I think everybody is kind of feeling like we've got a plethora of amazing games. You own a bunch of amazing games. You don't need to just constantly buy every new game that comes out. There's too much. Back to the Future, Goonies, Beetlejuice, Winchester, Dune. And when you start to realize that the majority of pinball content creators are absolutely making their content for the dealer and the distros to help them sell their inventory, and you start to realize, maybe I'm just good.
    54:24
Maybe instead of buying a $15,000 pinball machine, I'm going to go to Japan, fly first class or business class, and have the most amazing life experience ever. And that will be so much more fulfilling in the short time you have on planet Earth than always buying. Just another thing to look down at. I would say this to you. Pinball is bad for your health in a lot of ways. When I was playing Sonic for two, three hours straight, my right shoulder was just killing me. I was like, what the heck? And Mike was like, yeah, you've got pinball shoulder. I'm like, that's a thing? People are literally hurting their bodies, nudging these machines around, leaning over in an awkward position that's bad for your posture.
    55:11
Maybe it's like Kaneda. I'm not aging because I don't play pinball. Pinball ages you. I'm going to start making crazy, absolute crazy statements that I can't verify. Pinball is bad for you ever.
    55:27
Pinball will take a year off your life. Probably will, all the drama in this damn hobby. I buy every new game. Pinball Hans. Back to the Future won't hit to Q3 2020.

Okay, you guys want some exclusive news? I was going to do it on a podcast, but you know me. I've been doing this lately. Just serving it up. Serving it up. Okay, here's what's going to happen before Back to the Future.
    55:55
Dutch Pinball is going to release the Jesus edition of The Big Lebowski. Everything orange in the game will be purple.
    56:04
Okay, so look at the game. See the orange? Now it's purple. There will be 300 Jesus edition games, and they will be $15,000 each.
    56:21
I mean, I don't know, man. Right now, Lebowski's are trading for around 10 and 11. And now right now you've kind of screwed over all the original bots like this new LE. Here's the thing. This is now going to be a kinetisist story because Colin has AI bots scrubbing all of my content, all of Jason Knapp's content, All of Loserkid's content, all of Zach Mani's content, all of Pinside content. That's why Pinside did that login thing because Colin is using AI bots to scrub all of our content and make Kinetis' stories that is stealing everyone's work. So much to the point, so we're asserting content creators have now got lawyers involved.
    57:20
Why is our tent falling over? Like, what is wrong with these people? Like, come on, Brenda, like, keep it together. We look like my tent is like leaning over.
    57:34
I am like, damn it. Like, I did all this work. Where is everybody? Like, you know, it's like I got all these in-laws, all these people, like the tent's leaning all the way over. Like, come on, like, why is nobody there?
    57:57
Here. It's patience with in-laws. It's like patience. It gets windy, I get it, but that's why you need someone there.
    58:16
Show us. That blue tent here, I think it's right here. Why can't I get my finger there? It's like right there.
    58:41
And also you need someone there in case it like the wind gets really windy and it starts to fly away. You need someone to hold on to it. Beautiful day though. There's no humidity. It's like beautiful, beautiful day. I just, I, you know what, you know what it is? It's like, I just have such a on personality where like, I can't do it for you. You know what I'm saying? Like, you ever just like, just everybody like, come on, like common sense. Like what, like what? Like, I see them walking back to the tent. Like, nobody's... You know, and I'm not drinking, so it's like, you know, I'm just so hyper-present.
    59:43
Capo Verde. It was crazy, that Argentina game yesterday. It was like one of the greatest sports matches I've ever seen. Just, you know, they won. I mean, even though Argentina scored more goals at the end, like, Capo Verde match will go down as probably the most exciting match of the World Cup. Like, it's just, you can't top it now. Because everybody can relate to the team no one's ever heard of, right, with players. I mean, the moment the player scored the tying goal and ran into the crowd and, like, found his wife or girlfriend, To me, that was the greatest moment maybe in World Cup history. It's like, this is how much it means to these guys. They're nobodies on a pitch with Lionel Messi, the greatest player of all time, and they're literally punching back.
    60:31
And they know that this is it. This is why there is a God. There is divine intervention. In the end, these are the lessons of life happening right in front of us. That's why sports great. And then on the flip side is like, who cares about the losers all going to Taylor Swift's wedding at Madison Square Garden? What a what a dumb move that was for her. You know, it just goes to show you how tone deaf they are. Like nobody and she had to ruin all of those celebrity people's weekends, the holiday weekend. Like it's always about her. Like she has to hijack America's birthday about with her way. It's just the whole thing. Adam Sandler officiating it. What a joke. All of it. It never ceases to amaze me how these rich and famous people today can't have any class. They don't know how to do it right. They have the worst people advising them. All of it. You know, it's like for someone who's like, I'm all about my privacy. It's like, then don't get married at Madison Square Garden. There's plenty of places you could go get married. And like, oh, it's a perfect venue because there's no drones. Like how pathetic? Who cares? Like you, if you really wanted to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey, if you really wanted people to like actually appreciate your move, you would have just like gone to City Hall on a nondescript day and just got married. Married in front of a judge with two witnesses and not tipped off anybody. But the way you do everything, acting like you're better than everybody and getting married in a venue that's not a wedding venue is the lamest thing ever because it's like, oh, you can shut down New York City. Yeah, stupid. Yeah, your own living room doesn't have drones. Absolutely right.
    62:26
No, they're just phonies. Like, and like, here's my here's what's going to happen. They're going to have two kids and they're going to get divorced. That's exactly how they're going to go.
    62:35
And he's such a neat, the whole thing is just, I can't believe like all these young women like look up to her as like a role model. Like she's absolutely not. When you go look at everybody she dated before Travis, that's her type. He's the opposite. She just has to see this thing through now because she went so far down the road with him.
    63:01
Anyway, let's see what time we got. Okay, so gang, I'm going to end this show. I hesitate to end the show because then I got to go, but I want to go play with my kids. This is such a special day for them. They're having such a good time. I love them so much. It's like, you know how it is, my kid. You can't even put in words how much you love them and how much you want for them and how you want to keep them safe and instill in them the right values. I was talking to my dad the other day. I just really want to thank you for all the sacrifices you made and educating us, but also first and foremost for just giving us self-esteem because I don't know, man. And I'm around too many young people with like no self-esteem. And I'm wondering where were the parents in the development of all these kids? What happened?
    63:57
Did a whole generation of parents just decide not to make their kids have any self-esteem? It's not about arrogance. It's not about – no, it's just about like feeling good about yourself.
    64:09
That you have the potential and the power to do anything you want in this world and like not like moping around. I'm really bad at being sensitive to people's mokiness at a Gen Z level. I just am because I'm like, you're in your 20s. You should be having fun. When I was in my 20s, I was broke. We would go out. We would go to the club. We would go to a dive bar called Brother Jimmy's. We would go to a village idiot. It was down in the meatpacking district. We'd go to the village idiot. We'd drink a freaking bucket of Bud Lights for like eight bucks, which doesn't exist anymore. Pitchers of Bud Light were like $5. Doesn't exist anymore. Country music on the jukebox and peanut shells all over the bar. Hogs and heifers, you know, these were the bars. We'd go there and just like dive it up and then have a nice buzz and roll into like Lotus Nightclub, Marquee, Bungalow 8, you know, Crowbar. And we would like basically be at the club at midnight on a weekday and dance for a few hours, three, four hours. We end up at a diner, have a bacon, egg, and cheese and roll into work the next day hungover.
    65:20
That's how we did our 20s. And now I'm the senior most creative in New York office for one of the world's greatest PR agencies in the world with some of the greatest clients in the world.
    65:31
They don't do that anymore. They're like living in their head like miserable in their 20s. You're not supposed to know what you want to do with your life in your 20s. What you're supposed to do is fine yourself by going out and experiencing things and being vulnerable and making relationships, challenging yourself a little bit.
    65:51
You know, I don't know. That's it. My first paycheck was $900 every two weeks, $900 every two weeks. I thought it was great. It was awesome.
    66:04
I don't have to ask my parents for money. Yeah, happy 4th of July to everybody out there too. And I mean this too. I mean, I love this country.
    66:18
It's at its faults, but I love it. I love, I love it. There's nowhere else I'd rather be. Maybe, maybe at Bill Brandes' house in Canada. But the reason why Canada is so awesome is because it's got America protecting you below it. You know what I'm saying? But no, I love this country. I love the stories. I love the sacrifice. I love seeing what America can provide, the lifestyle for your children, the opportunities for your children. There's a reason why people all over the world come here, to educate their kids, to have jobs, to have opportunities.
    66:47
And we're a melting pot of all different types of people. There's nothing like it anywhere else in the world. And the media wants everybody to think America sucks, America's this, America's that. America's amazing. When Brenda's sister's come here, she's like, wait, because she's coming from Amsterdam, all the media. America is a bunch of idiots. America is this. America is this. Trump's made everybody in America unhappy. And then she comes here. She's like, wait a minute. There's U.S. flags everywhere. Everyone's having a good time. Everyone's like, yeah, what do you think America was? No, it's not what you see on the BBC.
    67:21
And look, I'm just going to say this, and I don't get political, but when you think about all the young boys who got drafted and got on a plane And went and took, you know, landmines and bullets and D-Day and 50, you know, 55, what, how many 55,000 people died on D-Day alone? Like the sacrifices, America wasn't even a world power before that happened. We weren't even an industrialized nation. We literally sent over, you know, our young boys to die for and make the ultimate sacrifice to keep the ultimate evil away from the world. I don't understand how anybody could ever, knowing that history, like disgrace the flag or not stand up during the national anthem and take a knee. Like get out of here. All of that. And all of that failed. Everybody who embraced, like everyone who thinks like, and I get you can exercise your free speech and you can do all that. But like, you know, cool. Where do you want to go and try and pull that off? Go to that country, try and pull off burning their flag and see what happens to you. Land of the free home of the brave, baby. Love it. Love it. I love it. I love traveling. I love traveling to other places as an American. I love having an American passport. I feel like if anything hits the fan, there's no better passport to have. Gotta be honest. Gotta be honest. Happy 250th, everybody. Enjoy today with your families. Enjoy the fireworks. It's beautiful that we got America 250 on a Saturday. Just think about that. America 250 on a Saturday. Everyone had Friday off. It always sucks when Fourth of July is on a weekday because then you have work the next day. You get the day off before usually, right? And then it's a nighttime holiday with fireworks. Then you got to go into work the next day. So all the stars of Align, go play Sonic the Hedgehog. So much good pinball is coming. Take the Kaneda Challenge. Wait until November to buy your next game. Those who do the Kaneda Challenge are going to thank me. Those who run in early, because Ozzy, I love you, brother, but man, Ozzy, man, there's going to be people that buy Transformers LE in November for like $8,500. Guarantee it. All right? Everybody, be good. And we'll talk to you soon. Keney out.
    69:55
You guys up here? Yeah. I just, and it's good. This is a good place to be, man.
