As hard as it is to believe, late last week there was a second leak of pictures of Stern Pinball’s next cornerstone game, James Bond. This time it was high resolution images of both the Pro and Premium machines from the 007 James Bond web store. Both machines look great, IMHO. I’m not sharing those here, but they’re all over Pinside and Facebook. Of course, the instant the high res images leaked people began to analyze the heck out of them. One interesting theory has come out of that. People looking at the rules card on the game noticed the following statement: “HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE, Complete all Bond assignments to start ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE.” Previously, all of the movies mentioned in association with the Bond cornerstone were Sean Connery films. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service was the sixth James Bond film produced. Debuting in 1969, it was the first movie in the series to include a non-Connery Bond. The protagonist in this movie was played by the Australian actor George Lazenby. So, it seems possible that the new Sean Connery James Bond pin contains a George Lazenby Wizard Mode. We will find out whether this second Bond rumor is true soon, the official launch of the game is currently scheduled for this Thursday. I can’t wait to see it in action!
