all right guys let's get right to it this is pinball versus arcade dual screen so why am i so excited about this i'm excited because this is the first unofficial release which basically provides plug and play support for an lcd marquee now keep in mind this is a vertical image which is pinball games and arcade games so there's a mix of vertical games horizontal games and pinball games and what you'll find is that the marquee art will change for the arcade games but when you get to the pinballs that's when it gets really exciting and while i'm why i'm so excited about this is because i think this really is kind of opening up the doors for potentially having marquee support in the official releases so arcades who did this release and i'll have a link in the description to his youtube channel he really pushed the limits of what's possible with coin and I'm super stoked that some of the applications we may be able to come up with for something like this. So when you look at builds like this, you definitely wonder, are the games good? Do they have a good game selection? And they do. He did a really good job making sure the game selection is great Now keep in mind you have a mix here So you got horizontal games vertical games arcade and then you also have pinball So that's what I love about these. You've seen me feature these on the channel before. I've done that wall-mounted arcade. I've done the Rec Room Masters three-quarter scale vertical cabinet. I just love these vertical images because, you know, it's hard to get an arcade cabinet to present vertical and horizontal games at the same time, let alone pinball too. So if you have space issues, you could kind of kill two birds with one stone, have a vertical screen, and do a lot of cool stuff like this. But the addition of the marquee makes this one really unique. There's a little bit of setup involved, but I'm going to have a link in the description to ArgCades, the creator. He created a little tutorial to get you started. Because there is something a little bit interesting. The screen that acts as the marquee actually has an interesting resolution of 1280x390. It's about a 14.9 inch screen. You have to be aware of the resolution because if it's not set right it won't display the images properly this back Marquee bout retails for 118 dollars I have a link in that so you can get to it So you know where to buy it but alright you had to throw in combat zohar so what am i you just shut up ralph and get to the point you want to talk about pinball right so we're going to go to the pinball right now but i just i can't stress enough how good the game selection is how super stoked i am that arcades came up with this and he's being innovative he's pushing the limits and hopefully this will you know allow coin ops they'll take notice and bp will try to incorporate this kind of thing into the core technology all right guys grab those Xbox controllers, hit X, and let's flip over to the pinball side of the house. Now, this will be the X button if you're using arcade controls. So check this out. So as you're scrolling through the games, the marquee will display the game that you're on, which is really neat. But where the magic happens is when you're in game, it displays this as a DMD. Now, a DMD for pinball traditional would be a dot matrix display. This is actually just an LCD screen that's simulating that, but it has all sorts of cool aspects of the game. Some of these games have mini games and all sorts of stuff so why i'm so excited about this is that i think it's pushing the limits of what coinops is doing out of the box i hope that coinops takes notice and starts applying this technology to you know horizontal bills like next and next two and all the other releases that they have like gems and all those things so this would be really neat to have you know that the marquee displaying artwork for you without a whole lot of effort now like I said I'm gonna have a link in the description for the arcades tutorial on how to set this up but I couldn't be more excited he did a great job show your support for him and consider subscribing to his channel by the way if you've never checked out this guardians of the galaxy pinball table it's really cool so i hope you enjoyed this tech preview this is available now uh on backups and all the links are in the description for you so you can gain access to that so if you enjoyed this video please give us a thumbs up consider subscribing to the channel put your comments below i want to know what you guys think of this and don't forget to turn on notification to be informed of future videos that's it for now guys i hope you enjoyed this and we will see you on the next one Thank you.
