GoFundMe campaign seeks $5k to destroy defective Punny Factory pinball on roof as protest against manufacturer.

Summary

Cary Hardy promotes a GoFundMe campaign to raise $5,000 to have a defective Punny Factory LE pinball machine thrown off TNT Amusements' roof by Todd Tucky, following a similar viral video from 12 years ago. Notable Quotes

  • “I bought a new-in-box Punny Factory LE for roughly $7,000. That was delivered on June 22nd of 2023. It was the very first game they shipped out. Number one, engraved edition. It arrived not working. Bad computer. And with some bad playfield damage.”

    Donald @ ~3:00 — Manufacturer's alleged failure to honor warranty/service

Donald @ ~3:40 — Emotional driver behind the destruction campaign

  • “Folks, the fire part cannot happen. According to my lawyer, TNT is in a commercial industrial park. But we will have it playing on our roof and we'll toss it off plugged in with long extension cord as it goes down.”

Todd Tucky @ ~7:20 — Official confirmation of participation and legal constraints

  • “I'm merely trying to encourage those of you out there to chip in a couple of bucks maybe pass on that espresso in the morning to put it into this because i personally would like to see another pinball machine get thrown off a roof at Todd Tucky's place.”

Sentiment

negative(-0.75)— Strong negative sentiment toward Pinball Adventures and Andrew McBain for alleged warranty failures and dishonest dispute resolution. The Punny Factory is built with our in-house design. The control module uses a single IQ board that runs on the newest edition Raspberry Pi computer. What? Ensuring smooth and consistent gameplay. You sure about that? We offer top-of-the-line service, in-game speeds, and more, making our platform the easier choice in comparison to the competition. A bullshit? Oh! What's up guys and welcome back to my channel where I talk and do everything pinball. And a special thank you to the over 8,600 of you out there that have hit the subscribe button that's down below. Most of you out there have seen the Todd Tucky video where he's throwing all of these trash games. I say trash because a lot of people would probably want these games. But a lot of these junk games off the roof of his building. One, two, three. And there's a lot of hate for this video, but it's over a decade old. It's like 12 years old. It's available on YouTube, and I will put a link in the video description down below if you have not already seen it. Now, why do I bring this up? It's because there is a very good chance, with your help out there, that we could see another game get thrown off his roof. And it's none other than the Punny Factory. So there is a GoFundMe page that popped up online today shared via Kaneda is where I first saw it on Facebook I just going to show you the GoFundMe page and read it to you so you don have to Toss Puny Factory Pinball from Todd Tuckey Roof I also want to note that this listing on GoFundMe has changed since I first saw it. And it even states that the goal has now been lowered to $5,000 from the original $6,000. Hi, I'm Donald. I own Oasis Arcade in Lithia Springs, Georgia. I bought a new-in-box Punny Factory LE for roughly $7,000. That was delivered on June 22nd of 2023. It was the very first game they shipped out. Number one, engraved edition. It arrived not working. Bad computer. And with some bad playfield damage. Andrew McBain, the owner of Pinball Adventures, acknowledged the early playfields had issues and promised to send me a new populated playfield. He backed out on that promise and then said he would only send a blank playfield. Now, when he says blank playfield, that caught me off guard, too. What he means is unpopulated, not blank like it's a whitewood or anything like that. Let's continue. I refuse because I don't have the capability to swap everything out. I filed a dispute with my credit card company, which Andrew answered with many, many lies. Months later, they closed the case in favor of the merchant. Because of how Pinball Adventures and Andrew McBain has treated me. Every time I walk by this game, it puts me in a bad mood. I don't even want to look at it, and I definitely don't want to play it. Kaneda had a great idea. With Todd Tucky's help, we would ultimately like to ship it to TNT Amusements, bring it up to Todd's roof, and when they are ready, with as much fanfare as possible, it will be thrown off the roof while plugged in and playing. At least once. Maybe twice. What we need to do is raise $5,000. I paid for the game and I okay with losing to send this game off on its well final resting place Join Kaneda todd and myself in writing this wrong all 100 and higher donations will receive a piece of this punny factory as a memento now there's probably a great deal of you out there that probably haven't even seen punny factory it's not actually a game that you see at every arcade and there's reasons behind that i'm sure mainly because it's a new company and uh there hasn't been a lot of excitement about this game i don't know all the backstory about it but it's definitely not a game that the mass of pinball enthusiasts are wanting to add to their collection so this is what's going on guys chip in a few bucks if you can i as cheap as i am which i i'm not denying that i am very cheap i still put in ten dollars you can put in as much or as little as you want so i'm merely trying to encourage those of you out there to chip in a couple of bucks maybe pass on that expresso in the morning to put it into this because i personally would like to see another pinball machine get thrown off a roof at Todd Tucky's place. I think it would be pretty funny. Now I'm sure a lot of you are going to have your thoughts and opinions on this about how like the game could be sold to somebody that would want to put it together and be able to play it and have fun with it. Or we could watch it get thrown off a roof and a bunch of people get to beat it up with sledgehammers and bats. That sounds pretty cool. I'm just saying. Now there was some talks on possibly setting it on fire in the parking lot Todd has since responded to that request Let me read it out to you guys Folks, the fire part cannot happen. According to my lawyer, TNT is in a commercial industrial park. But we will have it playing on our roof and we'll toss it off plugged in with long extension cord as it goes down. then we could pound the daylights out of it before we toss it into the dumpster now i don't know all the history of this but i want to say there's a little bit of bad blood between todd tucky and something going on with punny factory or the or you know people that make it or something all the history bad blood all that aside i'm looking at this as simply just black and white of, hey, I would like to see this happen, regardless of what the game is, regardless of, you know, what, why he's doing it or anything like that. I'm merely throwing money into this fund just to see something pretty cool. So I'm merely just doing my part here. I have contributed to the cause and I'm spreading the word and I'm asking all of you out there if you could possibly do the same. One, contribute to the cause, and two, share the link or even possibly share my video out there so that way everybody knows what's going on and what we're trying to do. I know I didn't show you a single machine hitting the ground in that video of Todd's, so if you want to see all that, click the link in the video description down below to watch Todd's video on his channel. Let me know your thoughts about this, guys, in the comments section down below, and be sure to let me know if you contributed to the cause as well.
