Hello everyone. Hello. Welcome to the semifinals. Semi-finals. Yes. Of the classic target match play here at Indisk. Well, I'll go ahead and tell everybody. I'm Travis Muri with the Triple Drain Pinball Podcast. I'm Leslie Ruckman. And I'm Raymond Davidson. Excited to be here. Yeah, this is uh this is very exciting. So, do we know who the final eight are? Because I I saw the tiebreaker, right? That was very exciting. Right. So, we know Jose and Arvid are through. But who are the other ones that are through right now? I'm going to pull it up right now. Josh Sharpe. I'm being told by the producers, Josh Sharpe is in fact still in the tournament. He is. That's exciting. We have Jeremy Dorling, Eden Stam, and Joseé Chong. That's group one. Uh, group two is going to be Chris I don't know how to say his last name. Chris S, Arvid, Jonathan, and Jonathan Puckran and Nate Grant. All right. Nate Nate Grant. Kid from South Carolina, I believe, or North Carolina. One of the Carolinas. I see that name a lot. Yeah. In tournaments. Yeah. He's a solid player. Young player that I think this is his first time at Indis, as a matter of fact. Really? Yeah. So I think somebody told me that he got in via tiebreaker at the very like six people for five spots. Oh, yesterday. Okay. For qualifying. Yeah. So he got in the hard way and now top eight. There you go. And I think he played Raymond right at Clein in a tiebreaker to Yeah, he got uh he was second to me. We played a game of Frontier as the tiebreaker game. Um, we both didn't really do much, but uh I got I got more lanes up top, so you know that that's how you do it sometimes. Yeah, that's how how it goes. Are we going right back to Sky Jump? Looks like it. This will be group group uh group one. All right. Yeah, we got Jeremy is uh I think starting us off here. He's got the wonderful UK Open shirt. Highly recommend that tournament. It's kind of like the sister tournament to Indisk overseas. Sure. Uh, all right. So, Sky Jump practice, right? Or is this still practice perhaps? No, this is real. He just reset the score. So, Right. Right. Um, yeah, I guess that was practice. Uh, so on Sky Jump, do you do you care about any of these lights at all? Do you try to mix and match or do you just just hit all the targets and they'll reset and then you can do it again? Um, or are you going back up top and trying to get your actual numbers? Um, oh, I guess me personally on this particular sky jump, I would just go for the targets. Okay. Take what's there. But so I guess they're all practicing first. Is that what's happening? All right. Yeah, that's interesting. Um, but yeah, for the rules, uh, these numbers correspond to these numbers. So you can actually see on the targets. One, two, three, four, five, six. One, two, three, four, five, six. And those turn on these lights. So you can see this light is on because the uh the seven is is down. And so if you have the corresponding light, you get 500 points. And then one of the targets is worth 10x as you can see here. And so if you get both of those, if you get the the pink light and the white light, then I believe you get 5,000 points. So that's that's what you want. Yes. But it has to line up perfectly. Correct. And then also of note, it is tilt ends game too. So that's like which we we have seen a lot. Yeah, we've seen a lot of people just I saw myself do it yesterday. Oh no. I mean, and that's the nerve-wracking part, too. If since this is a single player EM, oftent times, if you're the first one, you have to be on pins and needles the whole entire time. So, you know, we've seen it happen tons of times before where somebody tilts on ball one or ball two as player one or even player two, and it just it kind of changes the strategy up a little bit, right, as you get player three, player four. So, but I have noticed watching this that the feed from the lefth hand side, it is pretty safe like the best. Yeah, it Well, it depends, too. Does it kind of I don't know. I saw this sketchy sort of So, that's the thing. It does a It does that, but if you can get a flipper up, tip it. We've seen it go over. Okay. But like Ro was about to allude to, you can also do the old man drain. Just pop it right up and down, too. All right. Here we go. So, where you do you have a pre preferred place to drop the ball when you're plunging? Yes. The four, five, six, or seven? Because you because you can still air melt those, right? Yep. I remember I played this at Cactus Jacks once and four out of five plunges uh missed all of them. That was very sad. And that changes the game drastically. Yes. I think as long as you get any number that you don't have, it's it's a good thing. Yes. It'll carry over ball to ball. So they say get as many as you can. Say the new games are all complicated with their playfield multipliers. I mean, look at this. Has got two compounding multipliers. Yeah. All right. So, David here, or not David, sorry, Jeremy is wanting to plunge four or five, gets the five. And he seems to be a methodical player. I've never seen him play before, but very, he's not really active with the flippers when the ball's away. So, it's like the opposite of Luke, somebody that just chatters the flippers all the time. So, this is this is interesting to watch. Very careful with his shots. Yeah, you just got to let it go cuz definitely don't want to tilt. All right, ball three. See if he goes for the four or opts for safety. Going for four. Uh, well, he gets a three. That's good. All right, he's got a super jackpot lit right here. There you go. And that was that scary feed right there that Reco was talking about earlier. Nails it on the rebound. starting ball four. And you really just don't know what kind of score you're going to need because we saw Jose uh not Jose um one of the players only put up 15,000 and and but sometimes you'll play and everyone is going to break 50,000. So it's just just depends. All right. So, and I think too at this point, Ray, sorry about that. I think Jose and Eden have both played this game, this tournament too, this final. So, it's it's almost as if since they know where the shots are at this point, you have to try to risk a little bit more, right? Get a higher score. Nice. So, he cleared all those. Yeah. And he has all his numbers except the four, which at this point, just forget about it. Do you get anything for getting all the numbers? No, I don't. Is it Is it worse than that? Do they all come back on? Like, do they? No. Okay. You don't lose your That's good. Now, you said you played this in the classics uh qualifying target match play. Yeah, I play this. I mean, briefly. I kind of like these side lanes. They give you some good thousands just for for participating. Uh oh, almost got the floor. Okay. So, the multiplier is on the five right now. What is that? Oh, that's the four. The one he doesn't have. So, he could move that multiplier. Um, how do you how does he do that? It's that red pot pumper in the middle. That will move that 10x multiplier. All right. That's a respectable game right there starting off. That's a good bar to set. We'll see how Jose responds. He just played this in the tiebreaker. So, that's a good good little advantage there. Nice. And he not only just played it, he did I mean I think he had over 55,000 on his and he had to stop playing. Yep. Yeah. Yeah. All right. So, Jeremy's in the clubhouse with 35,670. Oh, all right. He's going to ask not nudge that. Yep. Just knowing how tilty it is. Going to ask for some assistance. I take it he opted not to practice too, right? Well, otherwise, yeah, I don't know why you would care if it stuck if it was a practice. Well, I think too, are they allowing players to practice if they've already played this game? Oh, sure. Probably not. I don't think they're going to let him plunge this again. And uh chat is asking if if the ball will go on the flipper or if it will go in the plunger lane. I believe it goes on the flipper. I think that's what happened to Arvid, right? Yep. I'm going to assume it will be the left flipper. Going out on a limb here. Seen two stuck balls in like 20 minutes just on this game. Right. Doesn't happen often. But this is awesome though on an em when you can get a stuck ball on a flipper. You're at least going to get a clean shot. Now you're not dealing with any house balls, nothing like that. So the table's all set in front of Jose right now. Now true. But Leslie, is this is this uh flipper strong enough to hit any of these targets or is this flipper kind of just a passing flipper? No, you could definitely hit a target down. Okay. But what I was going to say is he doesn't really have any progress on numbers or Yeah. Yeah. The most most valuable shot is this 500.4, which is not Yeah. So you kind of want it up top right now. So just send it. You think between the red and the white flipper? Send it. Now I think that was a new light though. I don't think he had that one. Okay. The three. Yeah. So some progress at least. Picks up a five. It's playing very controlled. Oh, great. Oh, survived that weird reject. All right. Oh, just wasn't quite ready for that ricochet. That's a scary shot to take, too, when that ball's coming back down. They're right in lane and you know you're about to fire it off at those targets on the fly. Yep. Okay, so he has one drop target left, which is Oh. A which is a number he doesn't have, but at this point I would Yeah, you would want to Oh, he took a shot at it there. Yeah, good patience. Oh, a little later on that. Still early. That was the scary feed. Yeah, Travis. I don't think that one was savable. That one looked pretty nasty. There's nothing you could do about that. All right, Roco was right. I'll give it to her. So, this is ball three. Oh, good save. Ah, still that's a 5,000. So, we didn't mention, but you get 5,000 points um for clearing the whole bank. Okay, there it is. Okay, drops reset. He could make more progress. Unfortunately, the one that has the 10x is the six, which is the one he doesn't have. Well, he dropped it anyway, so he's kind of just picking up points, though, which is good cuz Yep. There's another couple thousand. Oh, stay there. Stay there. That was a great Very nice. It looked intentional like he was like, "Oh, no worries. He's going to use this apron as a third flipper." All right, there's a six. And Jose is just about 4,000 points behind Jeremy right now. Closing in. Okay. Does he have another ball? Oh, there's the instant replay. Here it comes. Money. Okay, he all his numbers. That was like the uh the death post on Foo Fighters there. Just perfectly served it up. All right, that four will put him in the lead. Although, I like that decision. He knew that he only needed like 500 points to guarantee third. So instead of taking kind of a a a shady backhand, he just sent it to make sure that nothing weird happened. Very smart. All right. Beautiful. Very nice game. 44,000. All right. Yep. That'll put Jose in the lead right now. And that'll drop Jeremy down to second place. You can see the scores are recorded next to their names as they get them. So Eden will know exactly what he needs to get second. I can't remember what Eden got on this earlier. I just remember watching him play first round and I I know his first two or three balls wasn't much, but then he just went off one of the balls and he's I mean he showed that when you get rolling on this game, you definitely get rolling and the points can pile up quickly. For sure. Yeah. Yeah, with the progress carrying over on those numbers like even if ball one and two maybe is not so great just opens up the scoring once you start collecting those. Yeah, Eden is a Canadian, but he is playing in the Washington state champs. Oh, so he's going to see if he can take some money from the Americans here. So this practice, anyone know? Maybe, maybe not. I'm assuming it's real deal. It looks real. It looks in looks very serious. Power. Oh, well that's one way to get it, I guess. Yeah. Did he shoot the pop bumper directly on purpose there? Yep. Yep. Oh, nice. Got the super jackpot. Yeah, the super jackpot. Nice. There he goes again. Wow. He's really He's lining them up here. He's playing. Oh, beautiful. Wow. Wow. He's playing this textbook. Oh, I thought he tilted there. Did you see that? The GI kind of dimmed a little bit. He did like a little nudge. That time it was a good feed. So you win once in a blue moon, right? All right. So he has switched to target alpha mode. Just all the targets. There it is. Two in one. Nice. Seven again. That's three super jackpots. Yep. Beautiful bell out there. back. Do you think it's going to hit the pop bumper? Of course. It didn't count though. Oh, that's weird. So, EM are interesting because the way they work is switches are stacked on top of each other. And what happened is it closed enough to trigger the reflex pop bumper, but it didn't close enough to trigger the relay to move the the light. Although, if we see that continuing not to move, uh, he might want to say something. He might cry foul because that is a major part of the game. Oh, nice save. Try to backhand those those drop targets. Yeah, it's tricky. What do you think is the the At what point can you backhand? Like what? Like maybe the four onward. Yeah, from a trap. The four probably. All right. He's already in uh second, I think. Yeah. Oh, he's in first. Yeah. So, can do no worse than second. Yes. First relative to Jose and Jeremy. Now he's just piling on the points. Oh, this must be ball five. He's getting a little aggressive. Those nudges. He's not as scared anymore. Oh, missed that super jackpot. Oh, yeah. It's waiting there for him. Oh, good reaction. That's trouble. Nice. Nice dig. All right. Is he going to shhats alley pass here? Oh, he went for the backhand. Oh, Eden. Eden. Oh, all right. Well, very nice game. 65k. Yes. Clap. Clap. Clap. So that's the way you're supposed to play it. Yeah. Being methodical with the multiplier. Mhm. That was beautiful. I think he set at least three of those up himself and then collected and amazing. All right, Mr. IFPA, our overlord. Now, does he have practice? I don't know if he I don't know if he's played this yet. The IFPA just made their major change uh top 15 events instead of top 20. So check your your rankings. You may have moved up or down. This looks real. Yeah, he looks serious. Yeah. Yep. He's changing his his light. Mhm. Unfortunately, he hit the target down that has the multiplier. Yeah. See, he has it lit, but there's no target there. I think at this point, you think he's just sending it up to try to get those inlanes, too, for like the six and the four. I could also see just going after drops. Okay, he's just he's going up top. There we see that pop uper not quite engaged the relay there. Wow. He's He looks very comfy. He's just kind of Yeah, right. Like he could play this all day. He's not scared. Look at that. Oh, there it is. That's the old reliable apparently. Second time. Ah, heck of a ball one. Yeah, that's the that's the way you want to answer right there when somebody has a solid game right in front of you. Oh, he called it. He He said ah when the ball was here. Yeah. Knew it was trouble. Oh, good. Good tip. Oh, he's got to do it again. Uh-oh. Scary. Okay. Seems like the slow feed out of here maybe is okay, but if sometimes if it goes too fast, it kind of does weird things. Come on. He has it lined up. There it is. I like we have the player audio cam hooked up. So, be careful what you say, I suppose, or on camera. See, he took it on the fly here. I I don't know. I would have thought about alley passing to try to get that. Or maybe he was trying to backhand. Oh, he moved his super jackpot. Yeah, he just realized it. All right, the leg helped. There we go. All right, he's got all the super jackpots ready to go. He just got one from a sling. One more target for and he's done. Like he wins. It's over. What is this? Ball three. Uh I think you're you're going to be okay, Josh. Yeah. And he's passed. Okay. A He wanted it though. He's not satisfied until he gets one. Even though he's won, he he wants pinball player always wanting more. So, all right. Very nice. All right. So Josh first, Eden second. What have I got? Jose third and Jeremy fourth unfortunately. I think so. That was a good good showing. Do we know like who picked the game or how that works in this uh would be top seed. So uh I assume whoever went first Jeremy I think. Um cuz Josh went fourth so I'm not sure. Okay. Okay, I see their games were already chosen. So, okay. So, we're going to Volley. Oh, another one player got. Yeah, with tilt ends game, I believe. Yep. There's a sign on it that says tilt ends game. And it will tilt. Oh, all right. Fair warning, I guess. Yeah. Looking at the tournament, Jeremy is the five seed, Josh is 13, Eden 17, Jose 23. Jose 23rd seed in the semiis. Let's go. Yeah. Amazing. Oh, everyone loves an underdog story. Going from the low seed all the way to the finals. Well, it's even like that on the other side, too. We got a 21 and 22 seat. Oh, wow. The other side. Really anyone's game. Very cool. All right, Raymond, you want to run us through this game real quick? Uh, yeah. So, very simple. This game also has multipliers. So, these lights multiply these targets. So, the blue light, blue targets, yellow light, yellow targets, green light, green targets. And it's uh yeah, 10x. So, you really need to get the ball to go down those lanes up top. Um, completing all the targets doesn't do anything except reset them. So, sometimes you'll see players if they miss all of these that they'll just go back up top to try to get some, but I'll also see people kind of invest in their future and just kind of tag targets so that the next ball when they do get down a lane, they're that much closer to having a full reset. Um because that's where you make your money is when all the targets are back up and they're all worth 5,000. So Jeremy already picked up the yellow lane. Oh, almost gets the blue. Yeah, you really want to get those lanes. Oh my gosh, I can't believe that. Wow. Yeah, I saw it move. Yeah, very scary. And also too, this is the game where you run the risk if you hit two drops at the same time, you're not getting credit for two drops, right? Not only that, you can lose points if you bankshot this unlit one into the lit one. Guess what? You're getting 500 points and eliminating one of your 5,000s. Surprised this game never got a solid state uh remake. I know Godly was doing that with some of their games. All right, so what's he got left here? He has one more yellow target, which will be 5,000. I think all the greens are down. So yeah, at this point, you just want to reset all of his targets to give him more scoring opportunities. Oh, he was maybe going up, maybe going for the yellow. Hard to tell. That was definitely going up. Mhm. He wants all of them. Whoa. Back door. That was interesting. Is that 48,000? Yep. And he needs a win. He took last. Yeah, we got to update the uh the player points here. I believe uh Jeremy has zero, Jose has one, Eden has two, and Josh has four. Uh, still hasn't gotten to blue. Ah, that pop is worth a thousand. Now, do you have to do something to light that for 1,000? I think it's just if you get your yellow lane, right? I think so. All right, one more target left and it's worth a lot. It's been there taunting him for a while. There it is. Full reset. Chat was saying you have to complete the yellow bank to light the thousand target, but I don't think he completed it. I think it was just lit. That's what I thought, too, but I'm not sure. I know completing the bank lights this, though. And this is lit for 5,000 now. So, every time he goes down there, either way, at this point, everything's lit but blue. So, I mean, he's he's in a great spot where he wants to be at this point in the game. And that's what's cool about this game is even getting two of your lights is kind of my goal. Like, after I get two, I'm kind of just full go time. Go mode. Yeah, for sure. These feeds in the end lanes, I mean, very friendly, too. They're usually pretty sketch on most coffees, but All right, on to ball four. He's already rolled it. You can see by the 100k light here. How many targets have we got left? What is it? One blue at the bottom and one green at the top. Oh, beautiful. That guy. And we got blue. And that guy. All right. So, the party's really going to start if he can get these drops down. Nice. Great patience. a little late. Yeah, these uh these outlanes are very friendly. Oh, I jinxed him. No. Hey, this is where we can see the score really start to go up. And like I said, he needs this cuz he he didn't get any points the first game. All right. Is this ball five? Believe so. Yep. Oh, that was weird. That was looking safe and then it took a turn. Very good game, though. Yeah, that's a solid start. That's a great answer when you have a rough game like you did on game one and you come out right there. But that shows why he probably picked this game, too. He seemed pretty comfortable on it. All right, Jose stepping up. No doubt he's played this game a time or two with his time at District 82, where I'm sure we've all played volley. Oh, yeah. Everyone's favorite over there. Of course. So, 162 is the target. Best uh tennis themed game in pinball. Absolutely. gets the yellow right away. And we notice the pop bumper is lit. Mhm. 4,000. There we go. All right. Very nice. Oh, wow. He's just going Oh. Oh, he almost speed ran the top lanes. Oh, no. Oh, no. Yeah. Let it go. That was a great decision though, that early in the game. All right. And I would just target target kill. Yep. Seek and destroy mode now since you got two lights left or two colors. All right. already ball three, but he's, you know, he's making grounds here. Ooh. Okay. So, he just needs I think just these two and this one. Yep. We have not seen the blue lane yet by anybody. The elusive blue lane. Jeremy caught it. Oh, he did eventually hit it. Okay. Yeah, he had them all. All right. He did the volley thing where Oh, nice. Nice. Oh, come on. He He wants the blues. Oh, no. Oh, wow. We got a full Come on. And that's what you were talking about earlier, Ray. Hit one target down and you don't get credit for two of them. Yeah. So, unfortunately lost some points there, but in the clubhouse with 63. It's nothing to sneeze at. Yeah. That's not what he wanted, but you know, he might be able to pull a third out of that. We'll see. Eden stepping up. But that's the joys of classics, too. When you have 4210 scoring, you can get all kinds of chaos when somebody just steps up and blows up a game like Jeremy did and he needs four points out of this because then I mean that just makes game three that much more exciting. Oh, for sure. That's all we could ask for. Exciting tin ball. That's what we all want. All right. Nice nudge there. All right. He's taking some yellows. Not messing around. I feel like everyone's gotten a yellow right away. It might be where the full plunge goes. Maybe some people just want to guarantee Oh, tilt. Uh I think that's a um practice. It's got to be practice, right? He tilted while the ball was like literally here. Okay, it's practice cuz he took the glasses off. He's taking a walk. I hope. I'm I'm not convinced. I don't know. I don't know. Hands are the hip on the hips. Oh, why would you? Oh, no. Eden, come on. He's checking phone. Oh, yeah. We're good. We're good. Okay. Drama. I was so scared. All right, we're all good. He just wanted to make it look good. Yeah. See glasses coming back on. All right. Now this is for reals. Yeah, we're we're good to go now. Travis is a believer in glasses technology. Yes. Full on. Oh, blue. Blue. There we go. Hard one. I think we've seen that drain before where it just kind of dribbles off of this. Yeah. Like the target doesn't go down cuz it doesn't hit it hard enough and then it just goes down the middle. It's a big space down the middle. in lane was nice to him. Nice save. Good dig. Good dig. It looked like he was trying for a backhand up the middle. Is that what he's going for for that yellow drop? Yeah, I would just be hitting some targets here. Don't Yeah, don't mess around going up top. There it is. Look at that. He cleared them all. Wait, no. One more. The the lower blue. Good. Okay. Okay. See, if Ray was wearing glasses. All right, so Eden now has passed Jose. Now he's got Germany in his sights. Uh-oh. He might have been able to get a piece of that one, maybe. Oh, that's good. So, the earlier you complete these yellows, the more fruitful your later plunges are because you get 5k. Oh, sure. Another 5K hits the 100K mark. Great patience. I know Eden owns a volley, so he's a big fan. I mean, who's not? It's true. I don't know many people that dis I know people that dislike specific volleys in specific tournaments, but in general, I think most people like the game. All right. So, last ball. He didn't need to chase down what about another 50,000 here. This is getting intense. Oh, another 5k. That lane has paid him at least 30k. Yeah. Oh, where's it going? Drop catch. Oh, good. He did a small little nudge up off the top of the sling to ensure it. Laid it on a flipper. Oh, very nice. Great dig. Still not out of the woods though. One more blue. Okay, just needs to clear the greens and then actually going down that left side lane would be good because you get 5k plus the potential for another 5k. I still wouldn't put him there, though. Uh, what does he need? Just one more. 16. Yep. 162. Oh, you're right. Okay. That would have been heartbreaking. So, here it is right here. Oh, no. Goodness. Yellow's alive. So close. There. He got it. Okay. So, now he wants to put as much distance as he can. Oh, beautiful. Look at that. the little freebie and he banked he banked it off the empty lane into the 5k. That was great. Oh my gosh. He is in full destroy mode. Look at that. Wow. Whoa. One more green. That's the top one. Oh, I saw it move. Yeah. Oh, look at that. Oh. Oh, no. He lost points there. He went from 199,000 to 106,000. I know. All right. He He's happy with that. All right. Player four, Josh steps up knowing he needs a double roll. I wonder if Josh has played this before. Like not ever, but in the tournament. Yeah. I don't know. Is this real? He might still be practicing. I'm gonna assume practice because he was very emotionless with that drain. Yeah, chat is saying they heard a swear word, so it might be real. Ah, okay. I think I think it's real at this point. Come on, baby. Okay, he's talking to the game. Sweet talking the game. Oh, no. Didn't work. Didn't did not like that. All right, so this is ball three. Are all the lit pop bumpers worth a thousand or is it just the center one? Um, I think only the center. The other ones are 100 probably. Yeah. Okay. Josh just getting no love up top and a drain. Well, he's keeping this group close. if you are a fan of exciting uh outcomes here. Ooh, it just bricked all like I don't even understand that the ball didn't drop any of these targets and just took a swan dive. So Josh probably checking up on scores right now. He has to chase down Jose at 63. That's go that's going to cause all kinds of chaos if he gets last here. He just needs There we go. All right. His world has opened up. Yeah, cuz he has a lot of blue targets left. Yeah, one Oh. Oh. Oh, no. He missed his shot. That That might cost him. Okay, nice in lane. Now he just needs that lower blue target. Beautiful. All right. I think now he's passed Jose. He can rest a little easy knowing he's not getting the goose egg. Well, okay. Well, we did enough for a third. You got to point out just in time. Well, that was exciting. Okay. So, update with the other group as well. It looks like they are already on bow and arrow. That's game two. Game three actually. Yeah. So, game one Viking, game two arena already done. And it appears that Nate Grant has six points, Jonathan has five, Arvid with three, and Chris with zero. And then in our group right now, Jeremy should have two, Josh with five, Eden six, and Jose one. And we're going to Cheetah. Oh, I love Cheetah. Everyone loves Cheetah. That's true. Now, did they change it? Is it the same way that they did Cheetah a couple years ago? It might have been last year where they changed the guide a little bit. Is that still in play? I am on the far left. Sure. I would assume this. Um cuz the scores I was seeing getting recorded for Cheetah did not seem very high. Whereas last year people were getting millions and millions and millions. Right. And we're talking about this area right up here. Yep. Yeah. So I think instead of doing what Reco just drew, I think you're going to see more like that, which is a great time. Mhm. At least the uh rubber is on. That's nice. as he uses it there. One bonus collect per ball. Four player game real or no? Okay, we're practicing. That's the joys of this format. You always have a hard time knowing like what's real and what's not real. Like some players you can just tell like you know you realize body language. Sure. Then others they're already in seek and destroy mode and then you know turns out they were practicing the whole time. That's why whenever I like to practice I like to put in like a a two-player game or something to make it obvious that it's not Yeah. And what are you looking for when you're practicing? uh tilts, shots, uh flipper kind of feel. Like, you know, I feel like you get your best scores once you're dialed into like, oh, I can just do a tip pass here or I can do a drop catch when it's come down here. So, you just you really practice like you're about to play and just find things that work. Um, but unfortunately, 30 seconds is usually not enough time. Yeah. To do that. Maybe see if there's a bad feed or something. Yeah. Whoa. This thing is playing fast. Yeah, this looks real, but I'm still not entirely sure. No. Oh, wait. Oh, wait. Yeah, just kidding. It is cuz he is player one. That would make sense. Now, why is he player one? Did he choose Oh, he chose the game, correct? Yeah. want to give us a rules rundown? Yeah. So, uh, these targets advance your bonus as he just did. Getting all three of the targets down lights this, which then means the next time you get all three down, it'll give you a bonus multiplier. So, you can just play only these targets cuz they give you bonus and bonus multipliers. So, that's usually my strategy. Um, if the ball is on the right flipper, you can shoot these targets, which uh do all sorts of good things for you. Uh, one of which is max your bonus, one of which is light bonus collect. Um, but you can also usually what I do is I just shoot up here and and then it kind of comes back down here and then you shoot over here. But if this one is modified, that might not be in play. Whoa, that was a weird drain. Outlanes are kind of overpowered in this game. You'll notice he got almost the same score as player one despite having no ball time because outlanes are just huge. They give you three bonus advance and 25,000. So, if you're going to drain, you want it to be an out lane. Yeah. Yes. bonus collect uh collects multiplied. It doesn't reset your bonus. Um, normally you can keep collecting it, but this has a modified software, so you can only collect it once, so choose wisely. Wow, he just plunged and got 2x bonus already from uh some targets up there. Hey, there's a bank of three targets. Mhm. Another Wow. Oh, so okay. If this is that 4x if this pop bumper and these targets are behaving um sending it back up here and I don't know if this actually ever goes all the way uh could be a decent strategy. Oh no. And look at that. He needed to drain down an out lane. Yeah. Oh, he's still in the lead though. Now, trivia question. Does anyone know how to light this spinner for 30,000? Uh, pass. Um, I actually only sort of know. You have to line up. So, when you hit a target, so say you hit this target on the right, it will freeze this column on whatever light it's on. And you have to freeze all three on the same row. And I believe yellow is the magic color, but I could be wrong. It could be orange. One of the colors uh lights the spinner. Okay, good slap save. I forget. Looks like Josh is going for uh the the old meta, which I mean, maybe it's still the meta. I don't know. Let's see how it feeds. About to find out. I mean, it yikes. Okay. Very efficient ball in terms of points per flip, but it did end up costing him. That's funny. Josh is trained on the old old old ways. Yeah, I don't blame him. I probably would have started off the same way. Sure. I forget who I was watching, but I actually saw somebody shooting this spinner one time and it was like actually working. And I I don't understand cuz that shot doesn't even look possible, but I mean, hey, if it goes up here and does some things, hit some drops. Nice trap. Uh, wait. So, he's he's going for that shot as well. You want to try the same thing? Yikes. Well, your options are pretty limited from that right flipper. You either shoot the left, you either shoot the numbers, maybe alley pass. I don't know. That's a soft plunge there. All right. So, if he hits that five, it will light bonus collect, but more importantly, it will reset the numbers and allow him to max his bonus if he gets the five again. All right, bonus collect is lit. Uh, but you don't want to hit that because it doesn't have any bonus. So, I would go back to the one, two, three, four, five. Whoa. What the heck? I saw this slingshot move, but the ball went this way. Can someone explain that? Just a bad angle. It's almost It's one of those things, too. It's tough when the ball's coming down that quickly and you're expecting it to do something that it totally doesn't do. That's just I don't know. It's it's incredibly difficult. That's why it's it's interesting to see some players that opt to have very active flippers down there whenever the ball is coming towards him. All right. He didn't 3x bonus. He's already got 40k bonus. He's almost to the point where I'd start working those numbers. Try to light bonus collect. Now he's going all in on the right targets. That drop is so late on the flipper. It's a nice nudge though. Keep the ball under control. Yeah, He's trying for that target. Is it just one more bottom target? Yeah, he's dancing all around it. There it is. Oh, almost got that. Yeah, nice. All right, so now his bonus collect at max max bonus collect is lit. So he has one priority. Hit that bonus collect. And what's great is because it's ball two. Nice. So now he wants to avoid these at all costs because on his next ball he can instantly max his bonus by getting number five. And we're going to give away our first prizes. So I'm going to call your name and Oh, unfortunate. So that did nothing for him. It maxed his bonus when it was already maxed. this swag bag from all of our awesome sponsors for this year. So, thank you all so much for that. He's kind of in the wizard mode now where there's nothing left to do. Um, so you could mess around with these and try to get the spinner lit [Music] So, what happens if the stars don't line up? Just nothing nothing happens. Yeah. So right there they they blink at you and then nothing. So that's hard. Yeah, it is very hard. Um, one of the stars is light extra ball. One of them is light special. Oh, we have two. Yep. We'll see if that third one. Oh, we'll never know. Great ball. Excellent. All right, thanks. More winners coming soon. So Eden's feeling pretty comfy, especially since he's leading the pack here with six points. Um Jeremy or Jose would have to win for a chance to stay in. Yeah, actually Eden winning is is what Jeremy and Jose don't want. Right. Right. And Josh was probably the happiest person to see that ball. Yeah. All right, sticking with it, actually. Yeah. The only way Josh gets eliminated is if Yeah. If Eden wins, Josh cannot be eliminated. Yeah, that's the the ultimate wingman right there. Yeah. Get full bonus collects, just long playing time on Cheetah. Maybe that's why he's like, I'm going to try this again. Y and the same exact drain happened. But on the other side of things, if Jeremy uh goes all the way, then Josh is in deep trouble. Oh, yeah. This is ball three, so I'm assuming three ball game. Yeah. Yeah. Fighting for his tournament life. Bonus collect lit. Wants to avoid that till he has some bonus. Uh if he hits 1 2 3 4 5, it will instantly max his bonus. You got to hit him in order. So those targets in the middle don't do anything for him. Good patience there on that trap. It's the glasses, Ray. Telling you they work. He saw how where it was going. He knew Uh, almost got that last drop. Wow, that spinner is juicy. Oh, there we go. All right, so you can go for that target on the right to try to get his multiplier going. Just barely missed it, but that's okay. He got it right there. His bonus is maxed, so he doesn't even need the numbers now. So, he just needs X's. Oh, I like that. Using the uh upper flipper to try to hit those. And he knows he knows he needs a max Monty like the full value because Eden did it. Oh, that's going to make it tough cuz I don't know how you're getting another million points now. Yeah, the middle spinner I think is always 3k. It's kind of like the alite spinner. Yeah, but it's also the most dangerous. So, maybe he's going to opt for the ultimate wood chop strat. Well, first things first, you might as well get your max bonus X. Oh, good save. Throughout all of this, I don't He doesn't have a bonus X yet, does he? No, he has it lit. He has it one ready to go. Uh-oh. Wow. That was the most center drain I think I've ever seen. Yeah, straight up and down. All right. So, I think mathematically that makes it to where Eden and Josh Sharpe are both through. Uh cuz No. No. Josh Jose could win and Josh. Oh, yeah. You're right. You're right. Math. Jose would have to go all the way. Did not happen. All right. So, mathematically now, now we are locked up. Eden and Josh are through to finals. That's uh congrats to them. Final four is no small feat. No doubt. And also congrats to Jeremy and Jose for making this this far because it started out with how many were in this tournament? 120 players. 120 players that all qualified yesterday target match play to 25 top 24 got through. So still a huge finish for everybody. Absolutely. So Eden's now just playing for fun. And it looks like Oh, yeah. How's the other group? Yeah. Yeah. So, since this group is finished up the on the other side, there's going to be a tiebreaker. Oo, exciting. A three-way tiebreaker again. Arvid involved. Yes. Arvid, Arvid, Jonathan, and Nate. Oh, boy. So, it's lined up. Seven. Seven. Seven. Whoa. That's tiebreaker with seven. Yep. Oh, imagine getting seven and not moving on. That's uh that's brutal. So I imagine that they are probably going to wait until this game is done and then we'll go over there. Josh, even though he's moving on, you know, got to do the sportsly thing and just play like cuz it's not fair to, you know. Yeah. You have to always always play your best. Yeah. And that was definitely Josh's best. We all know that, right? Well, congrats again to Josh and Eden. So, do we know what game they're playing for this tiebreaker? Not yet. It's not listed, but I'm assuming we're about to take the rig over there. Yeah. All right. Ah, how exciting. Two tiebre tiebreaker. This setup here at Indis is crazy. By the way, the games are like a mile away and we're just watching everything. It's all perfectly fed to our broadcasting booth here. Um, I pinball. We want to thank him. Carl Carl does great work. Yes. And um come on down to INDisk. It's always a January um time frame and we'd love to see you. And then looking at tomorrow, I believe, Roco, this is for 10:00 a.m. this time, right? Pacific. Yes. Okay. I I'm from Central time zone, so I'm just making sure. So, tomorrow morning at 10:00 a.m. Pacific time will be the women's finals. be right here. And then I believe Saturday afternoon will be classics finals and then Sunday will be open finals and then high stakes finals and then Sunday night high stakes. Yep. Lots of pinball. Are you doing the high stakes this year, Travis? No. Good choice. Good choice. I uh might have signed up for more than I can chew. It's uh pretty tough over there. Same. Yeah. I uh there's just I fell for the allin again. Oh, did you? Oh, yep. Yep. Yeah. There's just there's so much talent that's here everywhere and there's and everybody's good at everything too. It doesn't matter what era it is. So I know I was watching uh Escher play a little bit yesterday and he was getting like number ones on F14 and I think Lucky Hand was over there and they even have Black Knight Sword of Rage over there too. So it's high stakes. Yeah. Yeah. Like all the scary games in a card seem to be over there. I mean, so yeah, I I don't want to mess with that. I'm too much of a coward myself. I'm not I'm not going to lie. It looked too hard. I didn't want to I didn't want to deal with it. I just did it cuz it's fun. Well, I like I like the all-in package cuz then you you order it and you don't have to worry about it once you're here. It's like an all expense paid buffet of pinball. Yeah. And uh so yeah, I think that was a cool cool package. All right, here we go. This is the three-way tiebreaker. Arvid using European strats right now, getting points just from pressing start. Wow. It just went up 6,000 again. What is register? He's trying to he's trying to get the game thrown out. What's worth 6,000 points? I don't know. But his his visor is still blinking now. I don't know Pinbot as well as I know Jackbot. Uh, is it basically your multiball is kind of the main thing anyway? Just go for that kind of on this particular copy. And there's even a sign that says it. Uh, the locks reject a lot. Oh, yeah. We saw that on the last round. Mhm. Right. Yeah. Yep. So, in that case, if you're not going multiball, the only other shot in the game is this one and this one. And this one doesn't seem to light ever. Um maybe maybe from the in lane it lights. Uh but the only way to get to the in lane is from this ramp. So I think the meta is just shoot that ramp because either it'll go down the in lane and you can collect, you know, some points here or it'll go down the plunger lane and this is your big money right here is your skill shot. So very much different than jackpot where jackpot you uh short plunge. Yeah. This game is all about the uh the skill shots. Arvin missed the skill shot. The visor one shot. Yeah. Yeah. So, he's doing exactly what I thought he might do is just go ramp. Although, he seems not interested in this. He was trying to trap it. Post trap. Yeah. Yeah. Wow. That flipper is strong. So, Arvid did play this too. And he kind of he did something similar to this it looked like because he just realizes how much everything's rejected. He almost got that uh skill shot there. H I think he missed somehow didn't tilt but he barely Yeah, he barely touched it, guys. Come on. Skill shots 100,000. I think it starts at 100 and every time you get it goes up by 100. Oh, so it's it can be massive. But everybody was telling me that they were having issues finding it. That even with the full plunge, it's just something squirly was going on with it. So, all right. And with this three-way tiebreaker, it will be the top two scores go through to finals. Don't get last. Oh, that was Yep. There it was right there. Yep. Yeah. Now, if this Let's see. This feet. If this feet is good, you could potentially Oh, wow. Well, that answers that question. Not good. This might be the roughest playing pinball I've ever seen. Holy cow. There's even a post with rubber and it did nothing. It just It's just there to tease you. So, I mean, left ramp all day. Yeah. And it has actually I I someone was telling me the multiplier goes up anytime it goes in this lane. So, whether you get it or not. So, if you eventually get it, it'll be just juiced to oblivion. So, you know, just keep trying at it until you get it is kind of what I've been told. All right. So, next up is going to be Jonathan. Have you guys do you guys know Jonathan or seen him play before? Um, no. I feel like I've seen the name before. Looks like he's from Edmonton. Oh, we we still can't see him. He likes hoodies. A mystery person. So, Jonathan is under there somewhere, we believe. And he had the weird plunge as well. Yeah. All right. So, maybe Jonathan's going for multiball. He's got the hoodie engaged. Okay. No, there's the ramp. Left ramp. Now, does that solar value ever come into play? What is that all about? I wish I could tell you, but I've honestly never played this game. What? Really? Nope. I've never played it one time. It looks fun. Oh, he got the good feed. Okay. It looks like this value carries. So if you could alley pass and just kind of farm that for 75ks. Wow. Oh. All right. So not a whole lot doing ball one here. Bonus looks like it could come into play. I wish I knew how to get the bonus multiplier. It might be this like in jackpot maybe. Uh maybe. Yeah, usually we see jackpot in tournaments. Yeah, not too much pinbot. Oh, there's also an energy value. So, there's solar value and energy value. We'll see if either of those come into play. I think solar value might be the multiball jackpot. Energy value might be uh when it falls down this hole and then it lights the cashier, as I call it. Does the ramp go up on Pinbot? Yes. Okay. 2x skill shot. Nails it with a little shimmy. A little arid shimmy. So that's huge. Big points. And he's right back at it. Oh, get out of there. He doesn't want the hole. Oh, he gets the hole. Scary pops. Okay, so that did not light any sort of ramp action. So I'm not sure how you collect that. Well, I was excited to see this, but now I'm seeing it looks like you just shoot the left ramp. It's kind of what it's boiled down to. Yeah, with the rejects off the lock and lock stealing. Mhm. Seems to be the safest thing. Although, you know, even if a game is simple and and boiled down to one shot, the way a player goes about executing can be so different. You see Arvid here doing these little post catches, trying to trying to like trap the ball so he can take another controlled shot. What is interesting though is if he's doing this and it builds his solar value. Uh, I don't know if this has a special ROM, but I thought the jackpot value carries among all players. So, he could be building that jackpot and then player four steps up and gets the the jackpot. Oh, interesting. That would be interesting. Huge bonus. Wow. Yeah, guess you're right. All right, so we're all fighting for two spots. And I wonder if Nate's going to avoid the saucer this time and just opt for left ramp all day. Oh, just short of that skill shot there. Does he get the ball? All right. His visor is in shambles. Um so he's probably not going to be going for that. He's gone ramp. Yep. Oh, get out of there. Yeah, that is kind of the whammy, isn't it? And any anywhere else is fine. Whoa, never mind. Jeez. How did that I thought I saw that happened to Arvid earlier, but it happened so quickly. Whoa. Oh no. Half ramp out lane all the way out. That's got to be frustrated. Frustrating Jonathan has his visor open. We'll see if he'll be able to lock lock the ball in there. I would maybe try a backhand for the lock or or that sort of thing where it kind of just jiggles it in. They do check a lot. We'll see. Uhoh. Jonathan's playing this fast and furious. Yeah. Okay, there's one. That was a forehand. Do you need two or does it start automatically? I need two. Okay, that's interesting. So, locking a ball gives you a skill shot opportunity. So, it's like shooting the ramp. Sure. All right. So, he's looking to get the the left eyeball. Backhands the left ramp like it's nothing. I mean, this goes back to what you were just talking about a second ago, Raymond, with just different styles of play. For sure. Yeah. Uh-oh. Oh, the bank shot. Yeah, it kind of just has to like fall in there. All right, so we got double scores and I guess you put the ball back into the visor or how does this work? Um, Eden told me earlier when I had to play it yesterday, uh, you want to lock one ball in there and then hit the ramp. Gotcha. That's how you get that solar value. Oh, okay. All right. Well, he caught back up to Arvid. Remember, you only need the top two scores advance here, right? Yep. So, their goal is just to put as much pressure on Nate they can or at least arbit. Very nice. Definitely has that skill shot down now. Oh, that's how he gets rewarded for it. Yeah. Okay. Well, he did all he could do, so now he just watches. And I mean, I'd like I'd be pretty happy with where he's at, but uh you know, if Nate actually gets to play for any significant amount of time and then Jonathan plunges correctly, it could fall apart quickly. Oh, beautiful. Beautiful. One shot makes it. Now, what's he going to do? Post catch or send it? He is sending it. Sending. Yeah. Oh. Oh. Get out of there. Get out of there. Get out. Oh wow. I don't know if I would have trusted that as much. I would have been beautiful. Oh, hey, the ramp was up. So, apparently the ramp does go up. You just can't see it from our point of view. Nice. Good read on that. He's halfway to where he needs to be. So, he just needs some more ramps and skill shots. Ooh. Oh my god, that was beautiful. And he knew he needed it. That was all He made that happen. He's on double danger. Wow. Oh, that was so beautiful. He had nothing to lose, so he just went for it. Kind of needs the ball back, though. He needs to settle down. Okay, there we go. Take a breath. Take a breath. All right. Drops the visor. Visor. Oh, immediately locks one. All right. So, another chance at a skill shot here. Now, this is getting interesting. Definitely. Oh, that was a big weird plunge that I'm not sure. Oh, does he have multiball lit? Yeah, he already locked one. Big shot. Oh, no. He missed. Okay. Okay. Don't reject. Oh, we got to make it. Oh. Oh gosh. Whoa. Wait. Are there three dangers? I think the first one was just one. So Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. No. Dang. Oh, that's so painful. And he hit the shot, too. Yep. He did everything right that last ball. Yeah, that's everything that you could do. Sad. Just not quite enough. All right, so unfortunately with that drain, that guarantees Jonathan and Arvid are through to the finals to where they will meet Eden and Josh. Wow, exciting. What a great save, but unfortunately just couldn't quite get it to stick in that eyehole for the multiball start. Lucky you do. All right, so Guys, had a great time announcing with you guys. Greatly appreciate it. I'm Travis. Lesley. I'm Raymond. Enjoy the uh final four here at Indis in the Classic Target Match Play Championship. [Music]
