Hey guys, welcome back. As Classic Kim once said, We all know size matters. Well the guys over at Tulsa Arcades think so too. On this episode, we're going to check out the Tulsa Arcades Arcade 1-Up Monitor Mount. Let's do it. All right, let's not waste any time and let's get right to it. So as I open it up, it seems to be packaged really nice. And there is the mount itself. It's also packaged really nice and I doubt there's going to be any damage because it's wrapped up great. There's a little tool kit or parts kit. And there was a nice letter in here that I thought was a great touch. Kind of just says, thank you for the purchase, which I thought was really cool. And it gives you some instructions. The mount is supposed to receive up to a 20 inch monitor. So you can put up to a 20 inch monitor and gives a little bit about what's included in the box. All right. So in the parts kit, you're going to find washers. You're going to find L brackets and the mounting screws. This is a VESA compatible mount. So it really has everything you need to take it out, mount it to your arcade one up and mount your monitor. All right. So let's unwrap it and see what this thing looks like. So it was again, packaged really nice and I appreciate that. So there's no damage. Oh my gosh. I was so excited when I saw this because they didn tell me but they made it custom and put retro Ralph on it which is really cool So when you look at the back John Youssi it has several different visa mounting holes so it should accommodate a bunch of different monitors and like I said it can accommodate up to a 20 inch monitor so pretty cool stuff I also noticed that the mount is half inch MDF it should be nice and sturdy and accommodate 20 inch monitor with no issues all right so just to recap what you're gonna get the box you get some business cards so you know how to get in touch with the company Looks like they're going to be making some more arcade 1UP specific products and other arcade products here shortly. You're going to get the letter which is just a nice touch in general and it has what's in the box as well as instructions for installation and the mount itself. Also the toolkit which has everything you need to get it mounted and to get started quickly. So looks like they really covered all their bases on this one. All right, so you're probably wondering how my installation went. It went flawless. So I just wanted to keep in mind, so what happens is these brackets on the side get mounted to your arcade one up. How I did it was I actually mounted the monitor first. Now you'll notice it's a little unorthodox because I don't have four of these yet. I use the monitor that is not really what this is intended for. So I use the 19 inch widescreen. This is really more designed for a monitor that takes up the whole entire space. This is actually a 19 inch monitor because it's for a mod, a widescreen that's for a mod that I'm not going to talk about right now because it's going to be coming out this week on the channel so stay tuned for that but but so I had a little bit of a workaround but it works great so I gonna actually get some spacers so I can fill these other two screws you know really cool that they put so many washers in here So I was able to use it with what was actually included but I going to need a couple more things but no big deal That's really my fault. It has nothing to do with the mount. Just I'm mounting it on a little bit of a different monitor. So I actually removed the monitor and then kind of slid this in. It'd probably be best to take apart your arcade one up at least one side to do this I decided to do it this way. I get lazy sometimes but no big deal. So I'm really happy with how it came out It's very very sturdy. I'm trying to rock it. It's not moving So I'm just very very happy with it now. Keep in mind. This is more of a modders mount So, you know you have to be a little bit handy with tools to be able to do this But level of effort to me was pretty simple The only thing I'll say is, you know, the only gotchas would be depending on the monitor you're going to use, you may or may not need different spacers and different screws. But it looks like they tried to accommodate for most of the installations that you'll have, so I'm pretty happy with that. I'll swing around the front so you can see what I'm doing here, but I'm not going to give many details about this modification, unfortunately. Okay, so this is the 19-inch monitor that I'm using. Obviously, it's actually a TV, not even a monitor, really. But that's why this installation was a little bit more difficult than probably what most people are going to have. And keep in mind, I think if you use more of a standard aspect ratio monitor such as the one that comes with the Arcade 1UP you know a bigger version like a 19 that mount will work just fine with no issues So I decided to go widescreen because of the type of installation I gonna have and there a little sample but I not going to show you more than that and if you look it really mounted nice on the monitor bezel this is a mod I'm going to featuring this weekend so I'm not going to go into any deeper detail than that but overall it was a really good experience so what I'm gonna say is I would recommend this product just keep Keep in mind, for those that aren't as savvy, you may just understand you're getting into a little bit of customization work, not much, but the Tulse Arcades guys have made it fairly easy. They're also very responsive if you have any issues, and be a little bit patient because they just started production on this product, so my guess is that after this video they're going to get some requests and it might take them a week to ramp up production. I'll have links in the show notes of where to get the product and I'll have a little bit more information about the company and if you like this video please like the video please subscribe to the channel it means a lot to have your support and without you we wouldn't be here hit the notification bell to be informed of future videos and please put your comments below I would love to hear from you all right guys that's it for now and we'll see you on the next one take care Outro Music
