Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. So in this video, I'm going to show you a behind the scenes look at Captain's Auctions Warehouse. So if you didn't watch the latest Chasing Nostalgia, Chasing Episode 5, we featured Captain's Auctions. We got to go in there, learn what it's like to actually participate in an auction, how the process works, but also at the same time, they let me roam around and I was able to capture a lot of really cool stuff. So the footage you're going to see is actually from a live stream I did on Retro Ralph Live. So if you're not subscribed to that channel. Definitely check it out. That's where I do all of my live content. But you're going to get a little edited condensed view of some of the cool stuff we saw behind the scenes at Captain's Auctions. Yeah, so these are all the machines. Once they're sold, they put the number on them. So again, this was the one that just went, right? So it had Metal Slug, King of Fighters 94, Samurai Shodown 2, and another game in it. And see, they just write the number. So that's the bidder who won it. And here's what he just won. This is actually in really good shape. So whoever got this is it's a pretty good deal $800 and it's it's nice that's all they always paint these over though I don't get that but yeah it looks pretty nice so that pole position when there was a machine over here I really wanted but I didn't get it where is it these X-men's went for a ton the X-men went for like 2,500 X-men is one of my favorite side-scrolling beat-em-ups produced and released by Konami in 1992 the game came in two variations a four-player and a a six-player deluxe cabinet with two CRTs inside. That one would be awesome, but man, it'd take up a lot of real estate. Fun fact, it was one of the top grossing games of 1992. I don't know why, I mean, I love X-Men and everything, but jeez, like it's getting crazy. I wanted this. I always wanted one of these stand-up afterburners, but I didn't get that. But yeah, so all these are turned off, so basically after the auction's over of these items, they just shut them down, but I wanted this. I probably went for a lot anyway. go over to the other room the other room is huge so they're transitioning between this room and that room so this room here like look you can see you can see how big it is so so it's this so you had all the pins on this side so this is the main auction house this is where chris's stage is and this is mainly when they do the first round of stuff it's usually in this room and then they go off to the other room which i'll show you what really wanted was this guy even though i have no face for it this rambo is bad ass so this is the deluxe rambo these nets right here there's like flames that go behind it and you got your uzi i mean this is this is amazing that's kind of i don't remember what this game was but it moves it's like a pirate ship that's cool and then behind here okay guys we're gonna go behind it don't tell anybody Shh, shh, shh, don't tell anybody. Look, look, look, it's in the corner. It's the Arcade 1-Up. Countercade! No, no, no, it's the R360. The Sega R360 was released in Japan in November of 1990. You get the idea. You get into it, you strap yourself in, and you spin, using gyroscopic mechanics for the motion. Critics praised Sega for its innovative use of the technology, and one critic claimed that the machine helped establish Sega's arcade presence in the industry at that time. With only an estimated 100 units being produced, it's no wonder you never see it anymore. A two-player successor to the R360, titled the R360Z, was released in 2015 for the game Transformers Human Alliance. According to The One, a UK video game magazine, the original cost over $120,000. And as far as Doc knows, only a handful still exist today. I think that's the one that went from a while ago. How are you able to sneak in there? Oh, you know what's up, Garage Gamer? I got friends and places, you know what I'm saying? I'm just kidding. All right, so we're going to go... We're going to see if I can sneak into that other room. Okay? Shh, be quiet. Let's play basketball. Hold on, let's get one. Come on. Oh, I can't sneak it through. Yeah, I can't. Hold on. There we go. I'm going to play basketball. Okay, let's see. Ready? Let's see. Can I get it? Can I make it? Oh, yeah. All right, so we're going to go over to the next room. Oh, I'll show you this stuff, too. So there's... I had never seen... Have you guys ever seen this game before? All right, I had never seen this game before, but this is actually The Swarm by Global VR. And it's actually the spiritual successor to Aliens Extermination, another Global VR game. One of the interesting facts about this game is it can be run in 2D mode or 3D mode with some 3D glasses. They also sold it as a conversion kit for older global VR games. Anyways, this looks really awesome. I wish it was actually turned on so I got a chance to play it, but if I see this somewhere in the wild somewhere else, I may pick this up. I wanted to win this, but it went for a lot more. I've never seen this before. It's Global VR, the same company that made that Aliens game, which is down there. But it's got the same type of guns and everything. It looked really cool, but it went for a lot of money, so I didn't do it. Did they open up the area? Here's Mason. Hey, guys. They're getting ready to open it up right now. It's like 10 to 15 minutes. They didn't even open it yet? They said it would be like a 15-minute intermission while they set up over there. Oh, all right. well maybe they'll let us in maybe they'll let us in this is um the terminator salvation which i did i did bid on but it went for stupid money it just went really really quick everything you know kind of it's it's weird it's like some stuff some stuff is going for decent prices but some stuff is still crazy it's just weird i don't know i don't know man the market's just goofy right now there's a couple things right here too that i wanted that i couldn't get there's um hey mason um i wanted i've always wanted one of these even though i don't think this is a vulex i think it's like a ripoff one it's like a china vulex i don't know what you call them but they're like china vulex yeah dude look at this thing it's not the big one but it's nice look man i wanted that so bad come with me if you want to live um but yeah there was this alien extermination That like one of my favorites Okay this is one of my favorite games This was actually developed in 2006 by Play Mechanics and published by Global VR You can tell because a lot of these Global VR games have the same exact positional gun setup. It's very similar to like Terminator 2 if you've ever played that in the arcade. This obviously came out later, but if you ever see this in an arcade, definitely stop and play it. It's totally worth it. This was really fun. This game right here was super fun. This uh, this game? This was super fun. I'll show you. You're probably not going to be able to see inside it, but... This game's called Lost Land Adventure. It's a gun game published by Bandai Namco in 2014. I don't know if this was released in the United States or just Japan. This is the Japanese version, but the size of this cabinet, it's a monster. and it's got this curved panoramic screen inside. The technology is called POD for Panoramic Optical Display, but it's really cool. The sound system inside it is awesome. And I don't know, I would never actually want to own this myself, but if you saw this in an arcade ever, you're definitely going to want to check it out just because it's just really cool and unique. That one was a little too close. So what happens is when he moves from this room, right? So this room that we were looking at right now, you know, you can see he's got his banner and stuff. So when we're in this room, he's on this stage. So this is technically the auction house. But then when he's done here, he moves to the other building. That's actually where your registration is. So you can get your bidder number and everything like that. So if you come in and you haven't, you know, that's Beth back there. And that's Cece. So yeah, so then when they move buildings, this is the building they go to. And then there's like all these little sort of amusement ride type games that you'll see. They put them out here usually during the auction. And then there's one room. I'm going to see. What is that? Oh, dude, hold on. Mason found a little helicopter. Hold on. Can you get in it for everyone? Can we cancel the airport plans? Alright, Mason's gonna fly back to Ohio in this thing. Do you think you can fit in it? Gotta just clean up a little here. Oh, what's that? That looks dangerous. I don't know, dude. I can put like half of me in. Oh, no. You know, you break it, you buy it, so. Alright, it doesn't look like it's gonna work. I'm not gonna go for it. Okay, so guys, Mason, don't tell anybody. We're gonna go into the barn thing, I think. I'm gonna see. Alright, they're scoping me out right now. Should I turn my camera for you? Yeah. So this is the barn area where there's like, um, they have games that have been, I'll try to explain. So basically in here, this is, they don't really let people in here, sort of. I mean, they did let us into film, but basically what this room is, this could be people that order so many games or have won so many games that they fill containers of games. So some of them are staged. So basically their games are here because they don't have enough to fill a whole container yet but then also there are games in here that have been abandoned so let's say someone i'll walk in here so you can see it so let's say that someone didn't pick it up for months and months and months and months they'll actually start tagging it and go okay they haven't picked it up in x amount of months they'll try to get a hold of them and if they haven't they can't get a hold of them eventually it'll be labeled as abandoned so you can see there's like a road blasters way back there i don't know i don't know what's abandoned and what's not here so i can't really say but it's it's pretty it's pretty interesting to say the least that this whole room is just this is all just more arcade games and it goes on and on guys it's dark in here so i don't know if you can see it but it goes on and on and on and some of these are for people like there's there's there's one back there like there's a there's someone's games back there that are like crazy good games it's like all a-list titles but it's all the way in the back and i think that's probably going to someone he said some of these were going to like taiwan and other places so he has he has customers all over the place all right if you'll hang with me a little bit longer we'll probably oh this is a cool game have you guys ever seen this uh it's another global vr game global vr loved these guessers like their guns pretty cool i'm gonna get out of here because i feel like i'm gonna get in trouble i feel like i'm gonna totally getting so all right yeah i can tell all right so now they're going over to the other room let's see if they let people in yet but yeah when they go to building two that's where they're going and the the facility is actually a little bit bigger than i thought and i will say they like they do this this is like they the captain runs a tight ship i'll tell you that like he's on it everyone that works here is totally on it the thing that's actually crazy is that they don't have a huge staff so the fact that they they do the they bring the games in they have people bidding on the games the games get sold they get packed they get shipped then there's other people starting to drop off the next round of games it's just crazy it smells like pizza in there it smells like pizza yeah they thought it was crazy so it wasn't a walk-in and she's like oh no that's right is someone cooking pizza in here mason will you eat one of those candies just for the just for everyone yeah i will there's like old candy i wanted to win this did this oh so This didn't go up yet. You guys know how I'm all about the war final assault. This is one of the things up for auction. Actually, these are pretty interesting. They're boxes filled with marquees and stuff like that. You can see these haven't gone up for auction yet, I don't think, because they're all... I've got random control panels. I don't know what that is. That's actually a golden tee, it looks like. This is random stuff. you know but but like you're kind of you know you don't know what you're gonna get when you're online i mean look this is just a box of random pcbs i don't want to sift through it but there's like a cps2 you know there's some stuff in here so you can get some deals i won something over here earlier today i don't know where it is it was like a neo geo something i don't know where that is though yeah i take you guys through here really quick so um we start over here There a lot of stuff that has to go through i mean look at there area 51 hang on site four this is a very clean and that is a super i don't get arrested i know i'm whispering i know Charles Wolf knows what's up buddy so there's a champion this is a very very clean looking it's a big blue but this this is like mine actually so this wasn't an original Street Fighter, and you can tell that this was a Captain Commando. You can tell by the coin, by the coin receptor. So this was an original Captain Commando. That's funny. The door says Golden T2K. That's funny. But yeah, so you got Golden T, a Buckhunter, a Sheafherd 2, Gunfight. There's so much stuff here. House of the Dead 2. There's more stuff on the other side of this but i think some of this might be stuff i don't know if this is this auction stuff or not it might be because i know he has another simpsons in the auction oh and there's a badlands guys there's a freaking badlands hold on it's over here i want the badlands bad i want badlands bad check it out i think it's over here yeah it is okay so badlands is right here but it's going to be way late like we're not going to stay that late i want the badlands dude look at the wheels they spin super nice. Look at that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So there's all that. This just goes on and on. And can you imagine, just here's the crazy thing. Just imagine this, that this place, this room is huge. I'm going to show you. I'll kind of go up in the corner. So imagine that this place is all filled with games. Like look around me. There's games everywhere, right? that this place is filled with games right now for this auction and it will be completely cycled through and a whole set of new games will be here it's just it's just the sheer magnitude of it is insane and i'm i've never been here before so i'm super impressed with the fact that the small staff of like really about 10 people actually pull this off it's crazy it's crazy but but anyway i'm going show you one more thing here uh yeah there is a ghostbusters where did i pass that there's a ghostbusters somewhere yeah i don't think this is original though this isn't a this isn't a different cabinet so it is a ghostbusters but it's in like it's in a stone cabinet so it's goofy it's goofy interesting to see you know who who comes to these things because there's these two dudes here that have been here all day and they um they they actually i just saw the guy walk by all day and I lost two things. Yeah. No, these guys have been here all damn day. And he sniped me twice. He knows that I'm trying to win stuff. And I was trying to be discreet. I had my thing. My sign was this. It was... That's what I did. But he sniped both things. So I tried. I even was trying to be discreet about it, but it didn't work. I want to see... There's too many people watching me, but there's some cool stuff back there. Watch. There's some cool stuff, but I can't really get back there. Look. there's the sinistar cockpit look it's hiding it's right there see it run right there and then there's a there's a if you can kind of look now you can't see it gets blocked by other stuff there's a um there's a uh pac-man or a baby pac-man in the corner so so here's the one thing there's a couple things here that are from the uh the pinball museum so i don't know if they're like in transition someone bought them and they didn't pick them up yet right here we're gonna see if i can get mason to eat some of this old candy and one of these things come on it's still good it's sugar it doesn't matter are these sold yet oh they are technically that's not technically technically that's not your candy buddy is it not my king okay whoever bought it back all right he did it and he's still living okay anyway this is the mobile setup right here oh can i go back yeah yeah please don't drop it chris can i show him your little rig right here what's that can we can i show your little rig right here for a second oh my trade secret all right all right just quick just quick all right There it is. It's chaos, man. You have to pixelate. There it is. You have to pause it. So, yeah. So, that's kind of it. So, right now, it's quiet because we haven't started it back up. But once it starts back up, you'll see it'll start getting busy in here. And then, you know, the people can come if they want. You all right? Skittles killing me. You okay? That's what happens when you eat old Skittles. I'm good. I'm fine. Taste the rainbow. So yeah, so this stuff's kind of fun. These like grab and go, not grab and go. That's not the right term. But you know, these boxes like, like, see, this one will be a good one to win. You get, you get the marquees, right? So you get all these marquees. They're all trans lights. And this, this is Capcom Bowling. That says Golden T2K. So I mean, this is, it could be cool. You know, it could be cool if you win one of these for a good price. This is a good box right here. like this one you got operation Charles Wolf working so stringer if you're here operation Charles Wolf working that looks like a midway that looks like that kind of looks like the grid but it's not i don't know what that is yeah these aren't labeled i don't think so yeah so yeah so that's lot number 487 503's got a bunch of marquees in it so got a defender this one has a skins i think which Oh, no, that's a Golden Tee. It's not Skins. Got some plastics for Tron. Okay, so it's a... Okay, so it's got a Versys Unisystem board. It has a main board. And then it has a control panel. So it's a main board and a control panel, but I don't want to peek in there to see what game it is, but it's got the... I can't tell which PPU and CPU that is, but... Yeah, there's definitely a Versys system. It looks like it's been recapped, too, so you can see. see all the new caps on it so that could be a good box if you get it for a good price oh check out this check out this guy check out this street fighter five or four this is a cool Street Fighter 4 Like, I'd be down for that if it was a good price. It's a great game. I think they might be doing this one soon. It's on free play. Mason, you wanna film me playing Street Fighter 4 real quick? Can I book one of you a hard roll quick? Huh? real quick no sorry this one's running dude is this one running rainbow okay this is actually street fighter 2 rainbow edition this was an unofficial hacked version of the original street fighter 2 champion edition that was released in 1992 it was developed by some taiwanese hacking group and the game has a lot of features that weren't present in the original like super fast the speed of the game is really fast special moves can be done in the air it's completely wild and completely broken but if you've never checked it out you can find the rom for our meme to play it everywhere basically but you should definitely check it out it's completely messed up and wild and crazy but if you're a street fighter fan it's worth it just for the historical significance of what this is he's going in y'all it's your boy mc taking over the stream one time for the one time let's do this y'all no i just i just totally clean house no i'd see you cleaning house yeah Can you stand up after that? No, you can't. I'm so tired. I know. That's why I am. And the battle continues. Fight! Fire! Oh! I like it! The Retro Ralph being classic Retro Ralph. The one we all know and love, everybody. Let's do this. Oh, snap. Oh, no. Oh, no. Half of the stream is Ralph asking, can we do this? Okay, let's do it. That's literally so true. something shiny loud and clear what's up Cole how we doing money we won we won guys good job it plays good it plays good how do you feel you're a winner we're gonna buy it you're gonna buy it no no we're not we're not Ralph should let me play I wanna go film them putting stuff in their truck look at all the stuff they won guys these were the guys that sniped us but they want a lot of stuff. Look it. They did. And he has like amazing hair, this dude. Just like, you know, not in a sexual way but he's got like some crazy good hair. Best hair in the biz. You made out pretty good. Nice. Do you own an arcade in Seattle? Yeah, we own a couple. Oh, nice. Cool. Nice, man. Another castle arcade in Seattle. Cool. oh you're picking up stuff from last time too oh wow oh awesome oh he's got the freddy krueger that's fun yeah he's got he's got a lot so i guess he was picking up stuff from last time too all right we're gonna steal it guys guys we're gonna do we're stealing we're stealing the goddamn truck okay i'm gonna have mason i'm gonna and distract him stealing the truck oh look at how cool these are hello hello may i help you hello hello hello yeah those are cool i don't know what the hell you do with them none of them have the receivers telephone thing like we're holding on hold on hold on wait wait hold on mason hold on this is a legit mate what mason just said here's what i you want to no no i'll say no i need to say it no no no i'll say it again whatever no no i need to say i'm not i'm not ashamed no no He looked at this, and then he looked at me, and he said, that looks like an old telephone thing. Do you feel stupid? No, I feel young. Don't what? I said I feel young. Are you shaming me for having grown up in the era of a telephone, like an actual telephone? A telephone? Am I right? Yeah it is, but it's not a telephone thing, it is a telephone Okay It's a payphone I look pretty good, I just couldn't think of the word Hold on, Roy Clark would steal that truck I know you would, Roy Clark would be badass Yeah, who's in charge over there? We're stealing the goddamn truck, Ryan Let's go Mason, do something to distract them Do something to distract them No, like, do your oh boy Come on, do it Oh boy Now steal the trunk. They don't even care. They're like, oh, we're in Anaheim. Mickey's on the loose. It's fine. We're in Anaheim. They don't even care. They're like, oh, yeah. I don't even care if minions are... Hey, minions. No, they're fine. Okay. Alright, we gotta start. Where's my card? Should we do it? Let's bid on... Oh, wait, hold on. Let me know if you do bid on things. Alright, I'm out.
