Okay, we're going to show you how to install your Scream Screen on the many, many spooky pinball games that you can install it on. Today, we're going to show you on Looney Tunes, but step one, once you get your box with your lovely new mod in it, you're going to get that bad boy open and we'll take it all the parts that are inside.

All right, so you'll have all this fancy bubble wrap and then inside you will have a few items. You'll have the plastic protector. You don't have to install this. Your game already has this on there. If you're happy with the one that's on there and it's not dirty or scratched or anything, I would recommend just keeping it installed, but if you do want to replace it, we have one included in these for you to replace your protector. And then, of course, we have the new screen itself. So, Adam will get this opened up. Or maybe we should take out the old one first, but anyway, we'll jump to the next step here of getting your display installed. Okay, so the first thing is you want to make sure your game is off and that you're ready to access the display up in the head. So, the first thing is you want to get your your keys off your coin door if that's where you still keep them for your display. You'll pop them off there. Go ahead, put them in your display up top, and then you can turn that and open it up so that you have access to the display in there. I'm going to boot the game off and Adam is going to go ahead and take things away from here, talk about the tools that you're going to need, and the process for getting the display out.

So, next we're going to open up our display box.

Turn the key and slide down. We're going to pull the key out so we don't rest on the glass and scratch it. We'll set that off to the side for now. Now, we're going to take our 7/8 wrench and our Phillips screwdriver and we're going to remove the locking mechanism. So, basically it's just a Phillips screw that holds the lock lever latch in place. Set that off to the side. And then we'll take our 7/8 wrench and remove our big nut that holds the lock and then the bracket on.

And you can probably get that with a big beefy pair of square nose as well, too. We know a 7/8 wrench isn't probably something everybody has laying around. Anything you can get a hold of that lock nut with, get it off there. So, as you can see, that bracket is partially holding the display down. So, it's just nice to get this out of the way first. Make sure you're holding onto the lock on the bottom side so that when you get that nut off of it, it doesn't fall through and roll down your glass in your machine. So, you'll see this will pop out now.

So, the next step here is we're going to get this wiring out of the way. Uh so, you know, multiple years ago when we did these games, we zip tied things down in a way that makes it run really nice, neat, and clean. Today, you're going to have to cut those zip ties so you can get this new display in. Just be extremely cautious cutting the zip ties so that you don't cut any harnesses that are run on the display anywhere. If you do nick one, cut one, whatever happens, please just reach out to service immediately and we will get that harness replaced for you. So, Adam's going to go ahead and start getting those out of the way extremely cautiously.

to start with the here. I was going towards the bottom. And then, same here. Get the wires out of the way.

Get those out of the way. We're going to slide them back. Put my nippers off to the side now. And then I'm going to undo my power, my HDMI, and my audio. And I'll slide those back in the cabinet along with my speaker harnesses.

And you can see that we're getting pretty good access to the display now.

And then next, I'm going to take my drill. Um I have my chuck turned down to 7 you want to set it to 7 or 6. And then you want to use an 11/32 uh bit. If you don't have a drill, you can also use a nut driver. It'll do the exact same thing. So, I'm going to first go and loosen up my speakers. Just

just enough so that they're still holding and the screws won't fall down through. And they're still held over here. And then I'm actually taking my hand and holding the bolts underneath so they don't spin if they do pop out. Um just the four bolts there. On each side.

So again, just getting these loose so that we have better access to everything with the display so we can sneak that out of there. I don't think you can really skip this step. A lot of people are probably going to be tempted to. I don't think you really can though.

So now we're ready to remove the four bolts that hold our screen on. Um there's two on each side, one on the bottom, one in the upper corner on each side here. Um the biggest thing is to just same thing to hold your finger in there because once you get that screw off, that nut off, that screw will want to fall out.

You don't have to do the chin tuck method that Adam is doing with the drill. You can just set it down, but Adam's done this a few times, so he's got the efficiency part figured out.

take the first one off and then I try to loosen the rest of them cuz they're in there tight enough that you usually have to undo one um then work your way back around.

With a little finger pressure, you can pop the first one loose, and the speaker makes a great holder for it.

And wiggle, and this one, if you just lift up and hold pinch here here, it'll keep the display and you can pull that one right out. And we'll do the same on the other side.

Wiggle. Pops out. Hold my hand on the back of this one, being careful not to catch the wires. And now your display is technically free and loose. And so, to remove it, basically what you want to do is if you can, you get you get a little space up so you can get gap in there on both sides to loosen.

And then you can just actually manipulate your screen back and pull it straight up like that. And your display is removed.

Beautiful. So, old display is out. And again, this is where we also included this screen protector. As you can see, this one has no scratches. It's pretty gosh darn clean. So, I'm not going to bother having Adam peel a new the protector off and installing it. But if you wanted to replace this one, this is where you would do that at. Then next is pull that guy out, too, and grab your new one. But uh we're going to leave this one. So, we cheated and we undid all our tape and have this thing kind of ready to open up here, but this will be packaged very well, taped very well for you guys, so the screen's nice and protected. So, Adam's going to get this new display opened up. And before you set that on top of this protector, again, just make sure there's no dust, no dog hair, cat hair, your girlfriend's hair, whoever's hair on this this protector here, cuz once the screen goes on there, it's kind of stuck in there and you don't want to have to take it all apart. So, make sure your screen protector is spotless at this point. And then, it wouldn't even be a bad idea either to also wipe Sorry, you have to peel it first. There is a Yeah, this is something you really also don't want to forget.

So, what we're going to do is I flip it around. And you want to lay like so. So, basically, your green board is on your right-hand side, and everything else raised to your left, and I'm going to come in this direction with it. So, I'm going to hold it by the tab.

And then, if slide it just like so, and you're going to lift your speaker mesh here up, and then, you slide it underneath of here. And you should be able to get your wire out of the way over here. And with this one loose, you manipulate this back up like so.

And then, you slide your display back in, pull your mesh up like so.

And then now, it's just basically line up your hardware, make sure your wires aren't pinched, and we'll just line our display back up, and we'll just get one bolt started here.

And now in the hardware bag that we included as well, there is some extra nuts and bolts in there for in case you drop or lose any of the ones from here, but ideally we're using all the same hardware that you used from before.

Yep. And so I always like to start, like I said, up in this upper corner. I'll just get my hole lined up here. I'm going to hold it pinch here and put my finger here. I'm just going to put my bolt through. Wiggle it. And be sure I don't catch my mesh. And just start it. Don't tighten it cuz you're going to want to adjust the other sides too. And I will do kind of vice versa. I'll go do this bottom corner next. I'll make sure I have no wires. I'm pretty much squared and just need to pinch.

Get my screw. And it should slide right up through. Keep my wires out of the way.

Tighten. Wires out of the way and then I'll do my last upper corner. And then I have misplaced one of my bolts, so I'm going to use this one. That's why we gave them more. Yep.

So I'm going to grab my extra bolt. And I'm going to do the same thing. I'm just going to pinch. And then we're going to come up.

No, no, no, no, no, no. Someone has my nut. And then, just make sure it's on that side of the mesh. And then, we're ready to screw it down. So, the biggest thing when you go to screw it down, you want to make sure your drill is on six or seven, the chuck. Um and then, the other thing is the screws have a shoulder on them. You want to make sure it's in the groove. Um if you're not in, it'll look like that. It'll be poke poke poking out.

Yep, so that's where it's not lined up.

you hold your finger underneath of it, you grab your drill, and then, if you're on six or seven, and just slightly tighten down till the chuck kicks in. You don't want to put too much [snorts] pressure on it. If you do, you'll end up sucking it in far, and then actually end up concaving and cracking the powder coat. And then, I just do that on that mesh. Same thing. And if you have a trouble getting it to go in, if you put your thing on it, just give it a little wiggle, and [snorts] then, you just slide right into place. And then, we'll go through, and we'll tighten up our speakers the same way. So, make sure they're flush in. I try to find my hand, and then I just hold and start each one.

And the final touch, I'll do the same on the other side. And same thing here, if you have one that pops out and you can't get the square back up, you just grab it, give it a a jiggle, and it'll slide right into place. there we

Yep, right And now our speakers are in there, and so what we're going to do next is we're going to put our lock back in. So with our lock, I always want the I always put my key in to make sure I always lock it. So it's locked, and I always want the H95 to face up. So it's going to go just like so. And that's in my lock position, so when I put my lock on it, make sure it just goes to 12:00. And then I put on my bracket. And one of the biggest things to watch is these are fine thread, so you make sure you get it started correctly.

And then I will finger tight, holding the bottom with my other fingers so it doesn't pop out. And get it lined up about there, and then I will grab my 7/8,

and just snug it down. And I will try to snug it till that my nut is flush on the top. So that when you close your display, you're not hitting a point that sticks out. And then I will take my lock nut, my Phillips nut, screw, and I want to make sure I'm at 12:00.

And they can be a pain to start. And then I grab my little Phillips screwdriver, and tighten it up. And my lock is set now. And then so H950 lock at 12:00. So, when you lock it, that's locked and when you unlock it, that should slide that direction.

And then the last thing we have to do is just tidy up our wiring. So, first thing I'm going to do is I'm going to take my audio cables and everything here because they've changed cuz we used to have a longer here. I'm going to plug them in and then I'll adjust my wiring. So, uh auxiliary recorder, your speakers sound goes in the green. Your HDMI now goes this side there. And then your power actually comes over to the other side now. Your power plugs into there. So, I'm going to move this and then in our kit we have

little foam squares and zip ties. And so, all you're going to do next is you're just going to try to re-route your cables so they're out of the way here. So, I'm going to put one of these little guys right here. Peel the backing off.

Yes. And then I'm actually going to put it right here so I can catch all three cables together. So, I'm going to go right there. I'm going to take my zip tie. I'm going to go underneath through the two and back up. And I'm just going to leave that loose right now. I'm going to take my other one. I'm going to peel it again. And then I'm going to make sure this is above this little peg sticking out here that way it can never get caught back here. So, I'm up here. I'm going to put this one about right here. And then I'm going to do the same thing. I'm going to zip tie that in.

And then everything looks good. It's snug here, not too tight. I'm going to tighten this one first. I'm up there. I'm not going to pinch. And then I'll tighten this one making sure I have not a lot of pressure on my auxiliary.

Those barrel plugs can be very touchy. So, you want to make sure that it's not a ton of pressure pulling down up, left, right on it. It should just be coming casually off of it. Yep.

Beautiful. Let's get this thing turned on. Okay, so we got the new screen in. Game is booted up now. There's still just a couple steps left here. Luke Peters is going to show you how to navigate the screen settings that are actually on the display. It's a little tricky to to use the buttons at first, but you know, you only have to do this once and then you're going to be done with it. And these settings are pretty much exactly the same across any of the games from ours that you're going to put this in. These are the settings that we recommend, but it is of course customizable to be however you guys like it. We're just going to show you what we prefer. Go ahead, Luke.

All right. So, once you flip the screen down, inside there's a series of buttons that you use to control and navigate the menu. Uh the top button is labeled auto, but it actually acts as a back button. The second button down is the menu button that acts as enter, or it it pulls up the menu system itself. Uh you also have your left and right below that. These also function as up and down when it's in the horizontal orientation and then a secondary exit button. So the auto and exit actually do the exact same thing. So to get started I actually use put my finger on this menu button and I'm going to flip the screen up to kind of just show you what I'm doing. So when I hit the menu button, that's going to pull up our screen menu. I'm then going to use my up and down buttons to navigate around in here. And actually the setting I want to change first is going to be on this brightness section. So I'm going to go ahead and hit the menu button or enter and then I'm going to navigate down to our preset settings which are under this ECO setting. I'm going to enter there and then I can navigate to these preset settings. The one I actually want is right there with movie. I'm just going to cycle through a couple more just so you can see what that's changing. But this is just changing a series of settings all at once to a default. So again, movie is the one we want. I'm going to go ahead and hit my back button and that's going to navigate take me a step back out of the menu. I'm going to do that one more time. So now I'm back over on this side. I'm going to do one more setting here cuz some on some of our screens the volume actually is controlled through the monitor itself. So I'm going to go ahead and enter to this miscellaneous section, enter on there, go down to volume, enter on volume, and I'm actually going to take this I'm going the wrong way. Take this all the way up to 100%. So I want the maximum amount of volume I can out of this screen and then I'm going to go ahead and one more time exit back out of this and close the menu. So there you have it. Your display should be on the preferred settings from us. The volume settings are all done. You got the new one in and you are all set to enjoy your new Scream Screen on whichever spooky game it is that you are installing this on. So there you guys go.
