Stand back, Beavis. I'm gonna kick it down. And there's gonna be, like, pieces of door flying everywhere. Yeah, yeah, okay, yeah, yeah, cool. Um, the door's still there, butthead. coming to you from beautiful upstate new york this is a slam till podcast a show about all things pinball i'm your host ron hallett here with the other host bruce nightingale we made it we made it we made it except you told me this isn't going to be episode 250 nope 249.5, folks. Yes. I was on vacation so long, I didn't want to come back to a clusterfuck. We're going to do it in a couple weeks. Okay. As soon as Bruce rounds up all these clusterfuckers, because we had only one person actually email and say, hey, I want to be in. You fuckers. All this planned, everything like that. What the fuck? If you want to join us, come join us. If you don't want to join us, go fuck yourselves. Wow. So that's basically most of the listenership you just told to fuck themselves. Very good, Bruce. And your point? I think most people want to hear the clusterfuck, but they don't want to be on a clusterfuck. You're scared. I don't want to edit a clusterfuck. You know, it's just one of those things. All things that are said are recorded. Yeah, that's true. So you picked a good month to be out. Oh, God, did I? Nothing happened. Nothing happened. Really? There were no game announcements that I know of. Nope, nothing at all. We're still waiting on Harry Potter. Harry Potter, nothing at all. So let's start with that. What do you think, why is there a delay? There's rumors that there's some licensing issues. Yes, I guarantee there are some licensing issues. Like J.K. Rowling, whatever, the final approval, she had issues with the art, so they have to redo stuff. Do you believe that? Probably. Oh, you do? You do believe that? I kind of believe that there's a couple issues. They probably didn't think everything through. And, you know, Jack talked about this, what, a month and a half ago, you know. It was fantastic. Yeah. Yeah. That was in April. Yeah, it should have been out by now. And it's not. And all that money that Jack told you not to spend, you've already spent. So you're fucked. I believe somewhere he said spring. So you have at least now. Until June, what, 22nd, 21st. In one month. You have one month to still be in that time range. Spring. Yes. You think it's going to sell good? I do. Oh, I think so, too. Sell well, I should say. It'll sell well. But, you know, it's not looking good for Avatar. No. Well, and then you got, in the background, you got, like, Pinball Brothers is waiting to reveal Predator. I'm sure they're waiting for Harry Potter. They're waiting for that to die down, and they're like, come on, let's go. They should have put it out the day Jack said, save your money, don't spend your money. That's the day you do it because you know Jack's going to be a little premature ejaculation. Oh, Jesus. Then you got American with Cuphead. America. Yeah. Yeah, America doing nothing. That's right, baby. We got Cuphead ready to kick ass. Oh, I can't do that. He's not there anymore. The ghost of American Pinball. The ghost of American Pinball. That's right, baby. I'm the ghost of Death Row, baby. It's a hard time in American Pinball. Woo! Oh, now he's Ric Flair. We're going to sell some pinball machines. Woo! My pinball machines cost more than your house. Woo! Look at all the luscious ladies around here. oh yeah yes wrestling in the early 80s was awesome the 80s period uh so yeah hopefully potter comes out i want to see it oh i want to see it too i don't even care about the theme yeah i really want to see it the only thing we've gotten actually is code updates from stern that's about it yeah code updates yeah yeah so uh let's go over uh everything this past month that's happened while you were away first i started my trip in new jersey then i had seven days at sea wait a minute how is that a vacation going to new jersey i'm sorry we we left new jersey from oh okay yeah that is a vacation okay yes and then we we went to the azores saw some whales and some dolphins and then uh we went to uh malaga spain we went to uh canton nega spain and then we went to barcelona and then we went to pisa and we climbed the pisa leaning tower pisa when you climbed the leaning tower pisa did you straighten it no he straightened the leaning tower of pisa oh my god and then we went to finish in rome no wait wait wait you were in italy yeah so did you at least visit pedretti no because they banned me they banned you so you tried to get in but They're like, oh, it's a – Yeah, I knocked on the door. I said, hey, what the fuck it? Get open up, man. They said, it's a Bruce and I. Get the fuck of that guy. Fuck of that guy. Jesus Christ. He makes fun of us all the time. What the hell it is? Wait a second. Now, how many times have you been to Italy, Ron? Never. Oh, and how many times have I been to Italy? Oh, I don't know. Three. Three times. I am now the official spokesperson for Pedretti. and i am the true italian out of the group so you're more italian than me yes i am all right i've eaten more italian pizza over there than you i i have spoke more italian over there than you so my my great-grandparents they don't mean anything they don't mean anything at all the means on this show that's all down it matters and since i am up three nothing on you i would have gave you one point for you know being italian but nope ain't cutting it anymore you're down 3-1 i'm curious where my great-grandparents actually were from in italy where the fuck are you from yeah exactly where are the labellos from where are they at what the fuck are you so it sounds like you had a good time that's how'd you get a whole month off oh it wasn't a whole month i had 18 days off it was great so over three weeks yeah almost work Two weeks, yes. Yeah, it was two weeks, and I left Friday, and I got back Tuesday morning. Yep, and then they pounded him. They pounded him, folks. We were supposed to record Sunday, but Bruce was too tired. I was exhausted. I did nine hours at the coop, and I did nine hours at work on Saturday, and I was kind of burnt. I had a sore throat. My belly was killing me. I was like, I'm done. I'm just going to sleep, and I slept the whole day, really, on Sunday. We can't have sore throats. We need full-throated Bruce. Yes, all throat, all the time. Oh, God. So how is everyone doing? How was your three-week vacation from Bruce? It was good. Yeah? I have a list of topics. Oh, excellent. So what did you do in your three weeks? Well, when you, I think the same time you left is when Allentown happened. Yeah, I know. That sucked. Yeah, so you didn't get to go to Allentown. But I did buy a lot of things at Allentown. uh through a proxy i guess yes yes zach was my proxy okay what did you buy at allentown when you weren't there a bag of spinners i actually got like 12 spinners which is fucking awesome any sterns uh one okay i got afm ramps and plastics attack from mars very good i got light boards for Meteor and Freefall, which Zach cannot find. Oh, like when he brought them back, you can't find them? You can't find them. By light boards, you mean like the newer style that replaces the... The newer style with the 555s. Yeah. Yeah. I've got to bust his balls about that in a few seconds. You're just reminding me again. And what else did I buy? What else did I get? I got something else. I think Zach bought like, what, three, four games? Yeah, he bought three, four games. And he said it was a poor Allentown for him. Yeah, he was not happy too much. I know. Here's my funny Zach story. In the tournament, there was a surfing safari, and when I played it, the right flipper was so weak, you could barely make the ramp at all. So I told Zach, like, wow, that surfing safari, it's even harder to hit the ramp than on yours. And he's like, it is mine. It is mine. It's like, well, your game sucks, bro. Do something. Yeah, he's been, he's had it apart since. Yeah, he actually thinks there might be something else wrong. We thought it was low voltage, but he had the jumper in there that made it actually wired for 110. Yeah. And it was still that bad. So he thinks there's actually other issues. Yeah, I don't know what else it could be because we've replaced everything, including the capacitor. It arcs. It arcs really bad, the right flipper. and if anybody has ideas because everything's been replaced including the eos eos switch the capacitor all the mac you're asking for help oh my god it's gotta be hard no zach guys that actually put it on groups and everyone's like oh we'll just open the gap wider loot zach will get annoyed because like yeah i already did that i already said i did that you people are stupid you don't read what i said it arcs on both the switch the cabinet switch and it arcs on the EOS. Lots of arcing, bro. Yeah, man. And what happens is it gets like a white, crusty crap, you know, like this. And then it gets weaker and weaker. So, yeah, that is a pretty piss-poor thing. Got a lot of games at the RPC, though. Okay. Well, I'm still going to that later on. I'm still at Allentown. I know, but we did get a lot of stuff. So, I got to play. They had Dune and King Kong there. yes so i got to play well i played one of them i played dune okay the kong line was too long i didn't feel like standing in it and you didn't want to play with your kong and i did get to play it at a later time so okay so how was dune all right well how do i put this i don't want to play it again until the software is somewhere near complete so it was in alpha it is in alpha mode Wow. Really, really like you start a mode and it starts playing, playing droning music from the movie, but really loud, like noticeably louder than the rest of the sound in the game. And you want it to stop. I was like, put my hand over the speaker. Stop. Stop, please. Enough. The shots are interesting. It doesn't feel like anything I played before. That's a good thing. That's a good thing. The worm is cool. It did break at least once when I was there. They fixed it, that means. Yeah, yeah. And, of course, I saw it when it broke. Basically, the magnet stops the ball on top of the worm, and it pulls it in, and then it's supposed to fall in a subway, but it kind of got stuck. So the game didn't really know what to do, and it just, the ball wouldn't end. Because it was during a, there was multiple balls to play. It was something, it just got confused. And it was not going to end. So they had to shut it off and get the ball out of there. This ball that never ends. Yeah. You have a lot of games that do that when you play them. Oh, they break. If I'm near the game, it's going to break. So, yeah, pretty much. Great. Trying to think of anything else about it. I mean, it is a cool toy. Okay. It is very cool. But, yeah, I actually, it interested me enough that I don't want to play it until it is somewhere near done. Wow. which it did not feel like it was anywhere near done from what I saw. It still had the thing up there, like pending license or approval. It has no call-outs or anything. Yeah. To be determined. I want to play it later. The software is somewhere near done. Okay. I watched people play Kong, and it looks like it shot great from what I saw. And how did you play it? Really, how does it shoot? It shoots good. Yeah. Good. Just like I would anticipate an L1 game to shoot. Yes, I agree. He took the Quicksilver shot, the four bank from Quicksilver, and he moved it up a little higher and put it to the left, and there it is. So you can, like, sweep it or try to. I like how there's a lot of things that you get at the drop bank. I think you even get a super or light the super through there or something like that, which is different than usual. So I like that. And it's King Kong. I like King Kong. So when's it coming to your house? No. What? To put next to Godzilla, of course. You become Stern Boy. I become Stern Boy? Yeah. All the Sterns you're going to have to do. Well, they are the number one pinball company. They are the number one pinball company in the world. Sponsored by Gene Simmons. Oh, John. Okay, Gene Simmons. We're the only ones. When I wanted to have Kiss made again, I went to the number one company. If you notice, when I wanted to have Kiss made again, I wanted the number one company to do this. not just any other company. I wanted them to make my game. So I made sure that happened. That's right, yes. And if you notice, ever since they sold my KISS, they're still the number one. The only game that even approaches KISS is Old KISS. Yes. From Bally, who were number one at the time. Yes, if you notice, every game company I've picked, they've always been number one. What else happened there? um there was a tournament there was a tournament yeah how much how many people played uh oh how many people played in the tournament yes and you're asking that okay i'm asking somebody who played in the tournament well you know i would go there and look if i could find the damn thing yeah it hasn't been posted yet oh excellent to ipa i don't understand it happened like it was three weeks ago come on man where's where's the points at you're not worthy let me look in fast oh there we go well i found it 84 players okay so 84 players okay i'm going i'm going somewhere this so so okay well the way they do this tournament is because they don't have a lot of time because of the way the show is it's got to finish in two days you can't you can't play They can't play all night long and all that stuff. No, no, no. None of that. So basically qualifying is Friday and the finals are Saturday. Just boom. Yeah, done. I walked to the back to see what the games for the tournament were. And they were Bow and Arrow, Demoman, Dracula, Foo Fighters, High Speed the Getaway, Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Pinball Pool, Star Trek, Stars, Surf and Safari, and Terminator 3. Shoot, yeah. I have owned or still own almost an entire lineup. So I'm like, oh, God, I pretty much have to play in this or I'm an idiot. I'd say I don't have a bow and arrow or a Led Zeppelin or a Pinball Pool, but I like Pinball Pool. I think everything else, yeah. Everything else I have. And Pinball Pool is the RPC's Pinball Pool. Oh, and Dracula. I've never had a Dracula, but it's the old Stern Dracula, by the way. Blah! Blah! Blah! Yes, and the way they do it, it's $100 for 12 games, and then you could pay $40 for four retries, I think it was. I think that's what it was. And that's it. and you got to play all 12 games. I mean, unless you're so awesome you can get enough points to qualify with less than 12 games. Yes. Which I think somebody did that. Yes, they did. Yeah, and I kicked ass for me in qualifying. I mean, through all games I knew and I actually took advantage of that. Like games like T3, they don't see a ton of. Shoot here and here. Yeah, I was two shots away from the final battle. I think I was, what was I on that? I was fourth overall on that. I was second overall on Star Trek. Second overall on Demoman. I was 11th on Led Zeppelin. Really? No. Steve will remember that. Steve Ritchie, that's right. Led Zeppelin. Yeah, I did good. So I actually got a bye. So I'm guaranteed to get in the second round. Woo! Yeah. Yeah. Let's see who else from Upstate was there. Well, Zach. Zach. Yeah, Mark. Mark. From the RPC. Eric. Yes. Mr. Russell. All representing the awesomeness of Upstate. Jason. Jason, I think he ended up in B. Okay, but he was there. He was there. That counts. And my ranking was low enough that I could have qualified for B if I didn't make it this time. Nice. So I was very happy, yes. It's good not being in the 250. Yes. It's a good thing. But, yeah, in the three rounds of playoffs that I played in, I finished last in game one all three rounds. Nice. Congratulations for consistency. And then won the next two in all three rounds. Nice. Yes. Even nicer was my victory. I won. I won fucking Allentown. How much did you win, sir? I don't want to say because it's above the amount I'm supposed to pay for taxes. Oh, I just kind of give that away. Yeah, so I might as well say it now. $750. Okay. Yeah. It was awesome. There you go. Congratulations. I was on stream and everything. You were golden. And the funny thing is the first game on all three rounds was like the new Stern. Oh, of course. That's the one I just totally sucked on. and then the other, it got progressively older as you went through. Nice. And Dracula, I was able to do the thing on ball three. Nice. Which is I got the top drop bank down twice to light the specials, and then I shatsted a bunch of times. And, yeah, Levy almost caught me. You know, Levy, one of the tournament organizers who finished second, I believe for the second time in his own tournament. Hi, Levy. But, yeah. Actually, yeah, kudos to Levy and Greg, Greg Pavarelli, for running the tournament. And even more kudos if you send that in to IFPA soon. Yeah, that'd be great. They'd get the kudos from the kudos. Because I'm just curious to see where I'm ranked in Pennsylvania, because I am in shitland in New York as far as ranking goes. I haven't even looked in New York. Oh, because of that damn thing that happened at RPC, that whole pin masters and all that other stuff. Oh, yeah. It just screwed everything up for New York. So I'm like 50th, 60th. Like it's not even close. I'm actually 94th. Yeah, good job. So, yeah. Oh, sorry, you're 94th. Where am I? Oh, I'm 94th. Thank you. I was even worse than I thought. You're 94th. Where am I? Hold on. Let's see where I am. Where am I? Hold on. Let's go. The thing I was – I thought a couple days after this is how many people have won Allentown and Pintastic? I'm 38th in New York. Congratulations. here ahead of me. So how many players have won Allentown and Pentastic? Let me guess. One No no Three Three That I could find I had to Some of the Allentown results are hard to find But as far as I can tell and someone can correct me and I was just going by the main tournament, because I think Allentown had, there was a Classics and a main. Yeah, some of the years. Steven Bowden. Okay. No surprise. No surprise. Jason Zoller. Yep. And me. So Rod's kicking everyone's ass. One of these does not belong. Hey, Steven I like. Don't make fun of Steven. I like Steven. I met me, butthole. Oh, shit. Yeah. So that was pretty cool. That is cool. Congratulations. What else happened, Alan? Congratulations. I'm trying to think if there's anything else interesting I saw. Oh, the prices were lower than I've ever seen in years. Like as in what? I just mean usually I'm used to you look at the price like, oh, God, no. No, not a chance. But certain things like there was a really nice-looking Trident there, like $1,500. That's good. That's a good deal. There were a lot of games like that, and I'm not used to seeing that, though. Usually I'm used to seeing absurd prices on these games. Well, I think the market's a little soft right now. Yeah, it is. It is. They had a countdown there, one of the nicest back glasses I've ever seen. I wanted that back glass. Down boy. But yeah, the prices, it was much lower than I'm used to seeing. If we don't include like 20 years ago, the first time I went there, $800 for a sea witch, that's far too high. No way. No way. No way. So yeah, that's my Allentown story. They had several Evil Deads there, and they were played constantly. Everyone still likes Evil Dead, Bruce. Except for? Except for you. You got it. Have you even played it? Nope. I have no interest. You have no interest? I saw it on the video, and I was like, ugh. Oh, come on. That's so bad. That's so bad. Even I had interest to play Spinal Tap and Blues Brothers. That's your stupidity. I had to at least play it. no you don't you just you're just admitting you're stupid no you wasted brain cells you're the stupid one you don't even play the games how can you have opinions when you don't even play the game i watch the internet like everyone else you watch the internet no i am tiktok master no people just come off like come off like a tool when you do that i'm not a tool when i play it i'll go wow it is really bad thank you for reaffirming this so you've already made up your mind it doesn't matter if it's good now yep it is a turd i could take a high roller casino and somebody just change the art and put it in front of you this is a turd this is a turd there's no helping bruce nope not at all i have great taste everyone else has bad taste i agree totally yes yes mr high roller casino fan mr high roller casino fucking awesome okay hey at least I'm not Zach and bought a freaking, I traded for a Rick and Morty. Oh yeah. I played his Rick and Morty. So yeah, I came down to Rochester specifically as a work trip, really to, to work on the rig, which I wasn't there, which is working. It's ready for stomp. Unless parts from it disappear again. Maybe they better not. I hope not either. I ain't going to deal with it. But, um, yeah, I played his Rick and Morty. Yeah. That thing played amazing. Compared to mine. Compared to any Rick and Morty I've ever played. I mean, you could hit everything with just a left ramp, piece of cake. That's good. With power to spare. Wow. You go back to the archives. I hated Rick and Morty. Oh, I disliked it. Even when I owned it, I was like. And then I learned about the Mega Seeds. Yeah, the Mega Seeds. Yeah, then I got more into it. And honestly, the little details in that, it's funny. Oh, it's funny as hell. It's funny as hell. You go into the menu to change something. it'll talk you like hey what are you doing what are you doing yeah or if you restart a game while you're in the game it goes what are you fucking cheating or something yeah yeah i love that i love shit like that yeah so do i and they well on evil dad when you boot it since it takes like a minute to boot it has all this stuff that comes up on as it's like still booting almost there we promise this will come up or something it's got like quotes like that it's like okay at least there's some humor there you know your game takes way too long to boot Yeah. God. Yeah. Anything about the Rochester trip I took? Yeah, I played more Rick and Morty than anything else when I was in SACS. That's good. Played a ton of Rick and Morty. You saw how many games we had in the back, huh? Yeah, you got a lot of games back there. Holy shnikes. Yes. I did some cleanup. We're talking about the Rochester Pinball Collective. Where is that, Ron? No, you tell me where it is. I said it first. I said it first. What's the rules here? It's almost like you don't want to tell people that it's at 349 West Commercial Street in East Rochester, New York. That it's at Suite 2965. It's like you don't want to tell them that. No, I feel like when I say it, I'm just hoarding my own stuff. When you say it, it's a benefit. Hoarding or whoring? Both. It's not like you said hoarding. What are you hoarding? I'm hoarding all the games in upstate New York. Yes, you are. You whore. Did Ron see my cheap meteor in the back? Yes, I saw a meteor. Yeah, and I got another new game. Oh, God. Okay, what's that? Okay, I'm going to give you a couple hints. Oh, a couple hints. Oh, I love guessing. Okay. Bally, early Bally. Okay. I've never owned it. Okay, now. Early Bally system, so. One of your nicknames used to be Bally Bruce, so. Yes, I know. So early Bally, so you can already cut out the newer system. It's the early version. But we know it's not Freedom because you had that. I've had that. There's only like six or seven I've had. This will be fourth now, the fourth or fifth I've had of the earlies. Give me more clues. I'm not going to be able to guess it on just that. Kenner made a toy. Kenner made a toy. Evil Knievel? Yep. Really? Yes. We didn't talk about this before we went live, folks. No, we didn't. I didn't. think that i okay yeah i would have thought you wouldn't like evil kaneel i got it for cheap so oh that's the good thing about it so it's going to be sold soon no no no i gotta get to work first oh that always helps acid damage work you know play field and everything i hate acid damage well you just get rid of the board just there you go gone i take the pia chips out of it and i go from there okay i'm a cpu chip that's all i take uh so yeah i gotta picked up a cheap evil knievel and i have a lead on not one but hopefully another meteor god well you can never have too many you need a bunch of them to make the best combined meteor exactly i have one meteor for my house and one for rpc see i look at look at all the possibilities steve kirk all around all around All around. I wish he was still alive. So do I. I'd love to have interviewed him. He'd be a celebrity at these pinball shows now. He would be. People now know the genius of stars. I mean, they didn't know it 20 years ago. Nope. But now they do. It's a hard game that has a weird scoring on the top of it. You don't know where your number one player is, number two player is. Well, that's not the only one that has that, though. Games of the era have that, too. Memory Lane does that, too. Memory Lane doesn't have that. Yeah, I think it does. No, it doesn't. I think it does. No, it does not. I've owned a memory lane. One, two, three, four. Wait a minute. Memory lane? You've owned a memory lane? Memories. Yes, I've owned a memory lane. Okay. And I had a normal back glass area. Okay. Yeah. What other ones had weird scoring like that? I think Stars is really the only one. No, there was another one that does the same thing because it was there. What does Dracula do? Dracula has one, two, three, four. Normal way. There was one in Allentown. It was right there in like the same, I thought it was in the same damn row. I don't know. But we're not going to look it up. We're trying to keep things moving here. Yep. If you know what it is, you can send us an email at slamtillpodcast at gmail.com. Like that? Yeah. Really? I made a note here that we mentioned this on the last episode, and then we said we'll get back to that, and then we never mentioned it again. Nope, we never mentioned it again. Stern has a new menu system. Yes, they do. and it's based off of like the the best way to re-describe it it's based like off the jjp style well change it it's based off any normal person's style when you have a fucking lcd gooey yeah they've been using the dot matrix menu forever forever i've heard nothing but good things about the menus yes so have i to the point where it's like when are you guys going to do this for the other ones but yeah they should be able to port this i mean there's there's the system code which is probably the same, but then there's whatever the custom settings are for each game. But they did things like the first couple screens have all the stuff you would normally want to change, so it's all together, so you don't have to go to I need to go to option 44, then option 62, then option 85 to change this. Yeah. Pretty cool. Yeah. I liked what I saw. There's actually Stern has video on their YouTube channel. It shows you the wonderful new menu system. You can look at my GUI all the time you want. Do you ever get GUI looking at your GUI, Bruce? I love getting GUI of my GUI. I'm sure you do. So good to have you back, Bruce. Isn't it great? You missed it, didn't you? You must feel totally rejuvenated after that Antonio Cruz. Honestly, I'm going to say one thing. This is my best vacation I ever had. And next year, here's the really funny thing. Okay. We won a free Antonio Cruz while we were on the Antonio Cruz. Wait a minute. You won a free Antonio Cruz when you were on the Antonio Cruz? So it's like if you were at Pinburgh and you won a free Pinburgh while you were at Pinburgh. Yes. Okay. So what happened was if you gamble so much at dollar value, you get points. And then once you earn a certain amount of points, you get a free Antonio Cruz. Well, we gambled so much where I started with $1,000. We came home with $1,400. So we gained $400 over the whole trip, and we earned a free Antonio Cruz. Uh-huh. So Kathy is actually going on a Antonio Cruz with her sister in September. Okay. So that's kind of cool. It breaks up the next one because the next one we have is next March. We're going 14 days in March. Then we go 14 days in late October, just after Pinball Expo. Okay. So see where I was leading with that for next year? I thought you said, what was the show you said you were going to finally go to? pinball expo 2026 oh that's right okay and so just before pinball expo i'm gonna come to oh i'm gonna be like the messiah coming in with my robes on i'm gonna have the ring too bless you kiss my ring no no what's gonna happen is you're gonna have all these people like lonnie roth and dwight sullivan are gonna attack you like like four horsemen style start beating you down and no one's gonna help you doesn't he have any friends oh they're I'll wear the belt, too. I'll wear one of the slam-tilt belts, you know, just during that show. I feel like I'm truly in a wrestling motif. Oh, God. The belt is gotten, though, for Stomp. I got it. Stop. Stop. What is Stomp, Bruce? Stomp is slam-tilt. Oh, my pinball tournament. Mm-hmm. And it is coming up in the first full week of June in the Rochester Pinball Collective. And how many players? 76 players out of the 80. God. We were inching. I was up to three left, and then somebody wanted their money back. So we're back to four. But four spots we have. And there's no like, oh, we're going to have a wait list. There is no wait list. 80 is the done. We are done done at 80. So we want to fill this puppy up. We've got four spots left. Come on down. So no wait list. So no one can be 81 and show up in case someone doesn't show up. They could do that, yes. but I'm hoping that we're not saying, oh, we're going to expand it like we do to your house sometimes. Okay, so there is the limit. Okay, what he's saying is there is a limit, but you can go on a wait list. You can go on a wait list, but there is no expansion of the 80. No, we're not changing the numbers, what you're saying. No, it's 80 and done. Okay. And the funny thing is, in this tournament, myself and Ron do not play. We are the hostess with the mostest. Oh, I picked up something cool today. oh okay i did pick up something cool a diamond studded dildo how'd you know exactly you're watching my internet again god damn it gotta change that password again no i got a turret first stern viper oh you got a turd a turret oh a turret some people would say that it's a turd but it is a turd but i got a turret you got a turret for a stern viper yeah at a 438 they're out there i got a turret so is that with it with a new motor or a different motor motor and motor that might work yeah the only thing it doesn't have is the launcher for the and then the two uh boards the sweep board and the other board that's the only it doesn't have but i need the motor to make sure everything else is copacetic and then we'll see what happens i have a short in it somewhere i'm fucking going bonkers of this thing don't worry We'll get to repairs because I have one that I'm going to give you and see if you can figure it out. It's something I've already fixed. Oh, okay. Yeah, that works. Let's see. What else do I got here on the list? Oh, Mando. Mando is in the vault. Yeah, so for May the 4th, may the 4th be with you. Get it? We get rid of our game. We got rid of Mando. So Mando has been vaulted. So no more Mando. For at least two years. For at least two years. Now, here's the weird thing. I'm going to say something bad about this marketing part. Uh-huh. There's a movie coming out in three months. What, another Star Wars movie? Mando and Grogu. Mando and Baby Yoda? Yes. Okay. That's coming out in three months. Is it an actual movie or is it just Netflix or something? No, it's a movie movie. It's actually a movie coming out to the theaters. In theaters. Okay. Yes. And you put the game that you put so much money into into the vault. That is kind of weird. It is very weird. I don't think their marketing guys were too hip on that one. Yeah. That's not the good thing. No. No. Not at all. Well, maybe it'll be a different Mando. It'll be Mando Gold Edition, so it doesn't count. Yeah. Is that Mando? That's got to be it. The 70th anniversary of Mando. 70th anniversary of Mando. It's black and white Mando. That's pretty funny. What else in news? Let's see. Dutch Pinball Exclusive, DPX. Dutch Penetration Extreme. Dual Penetration Extreme is what we like to call it. So because some of the tariffs, I guess, have been what? Waived for 90 days. It's waived for 90 days, but there's still a 10% on some countries, up to 30% on others. So what they're doing is if you're in the U.S. and you want your Alice in Wonderland, if you want to pay 800 bucks more you can get it yikes or they'll prioritize getting it to you yes they haven't gotten one game out yes they have yes they have to europe yeah europe yeah so you haven't prioritized enough let's see if you get all your games done okay and what are people in europe saying about their good games i haven't heard shite or shit i haven't heard The only things I've heard is things like, what are the next licenses they're going to do for DPS? What does that tell you? And they're all like freaking Papaduke shit. It's all like Raza and whatever. They're like, why? Why? What's with this fascination with Papaduke? It's so weird. I don't know. I don't get it. I have his best game downstairs. Goal! There you go. There you go. I don't get it. I've had two of his games. I do like Circus Voltaire, though. It's okay. Actually, I like Theater of Magic, too. I like Theater of Magic, and I like Tales, but it's still not, wow, I need to have it now. Theater of Magic! Okay, what else? Get it in the box! Okay, I'll go through these quick, because I know people love tournaments. Yeah! I had a Bells tournament at my house. Ooh! Yep. It was a joyous occasion. Fun was had by all. Mm-hmm. And I had to leave and go to work for about an hour during it. Nice. But that was a planned thing. I knew that was happening. And that went pretty smooth. Good. And I came back and everything went off without a hitch. Nice. Congratulations. And congratulations to the winner of the Bells and Chimes tournament, which was... wow way to be prepared he he makes fun of me being prepared and look at this asshole who had the tournament at his house shut up i'm cutting all this anyway no you're not yes i am i'm gonna keep on busting your box the whole fuck wait but you're gonna bust my box i'm gonna bust your box i think as i get older i have less and less short-term memory oh my fucking memory shot You're lucky I know your name. Yes, Bob. Yeah, John. Well, you know what I'm going to do? This actually is a good segue. I'm going to go to the Slam Tilt Podcast YouTube page. Wow, not that. Yes, because that's where the finals are. Wow, Bob. Don't you love that? Great, John. So if you want to watch the awesome finals of this tournament, you can go to our YouTube page. Thanks, Billy Joe Smith. It's just youtube.com slash slam tilt podcast, one word, and you'll see them out there, all the latest and greatest new tournaments. Isn't that exciting? Excitement, oh, plenty. Yes. So the winner was, oh, yes, Nicole. Yay. Nicole, congrats, Nicole. One of the best players in the 518 area. Yeah, what a fucknut you are. And she won. The final game was on Dialed In, which she picked because she likes the game. Well, you know, there's temporary insanity for everybody. All right. But I'm going to give you fuel for your fire here, Bruce. Fuel! Give me time! It was the second time they had to play it because the first time it rebooted in the middle of the game. What? Surprise, surprise! So, yeah. Yeah. It rebooted right in the middle of selfie mode where all kinds of shit was going on. It did a hard crash and then a quick reboot. I blame the IT guy for that one. I blame the code. Like, what the hell? Because here's the other thing. So after this all happened, I'm like, this is newer code that was on there too, within the last year when they redid system code across all their games. Yeah, because they got rid of the system that they're scoring things with. Oh, yes. Scorebit. Scorebit. They got rid of that and did some other things. Yep. So that's what I had on there. So I was like, I wonder if they have any newer versions. So I went to Jersey Jack's site to see, and they've completely redone their website. Yes, they did. Basically all the games before Guns N Roses don exist What Kind of Kind of Yeah go to the site right now look under games go under support look under support for games you won see them but the code is still there because if you know the urls you can still download it i mean unless someone can correct me i'm i'm i'm hoping i'm wrong and i'm just not seeing it but i i looked i had someone else i know looked it couldn't find it Maybe, Bruce, you can look and find it, but I go to their website right now and say I just want to go to support. Number one, there is no support link at the top. There is none at all. Those are pretty piss poor. But if you go into contact, okay, it says support center, so I'm going to try that. Mm-hmm. And the games you love, the answers you need. Okay, so it's got Avatar, Elton John, Godfather, Toy Story 4, Guns N' Roses. And that's it. And you go to all games. I guess they're talking about all games that are for sale. I guess so. Not their past. So, wait a minute. Hold on. Maybe we have something here. I might have to correct myself. There's a link at the very bottom that says Legacy Collection. Ooh. So, I'm going to hit Legacy Collection. Let's see. Willy Wonka dialed in. Okay, dialed in. I want to discover it. It says out of production on it. Yes, it does. View all miles. Watch the trailer. I want to discover it. Frequently asked questions. Yeah, where's the code at? Wow, I didn't know your name was on here and everything, Ron. My name? Absolutely loving my new, I'm joking. Oh, yes, it's got real stories for pinball enthusiasts. Yeah, Ron H., I love Dialed In. I whack off my willy every time I play my Dialed In. Okay, I'm on the page. I still don't see anywhere where the code is or the manual. I know. It's just fucking piss poor. I mean, please, somebody, you can email us at slamtelpodcasts at gmail.com and tell me where it is. Help. I need help. They'll probably be an actual employee. They'll be like, wow, you didn't have to totally bash this. It's right here. But I can't find it, so that's a bad thing. I can't find it easily. Like the current production games, if you just click on the game, boom, it's like right there under files. It's just got the manual, the latest code, all that. So what I had to do is just kind of use one of those links to guess the dialed-in link and then to see if there's a newer version, and there was. And I got to see the readme. There was a version released in March. But you can't find it without knowing. No, I was able to figure out what the URL is. I know. I'm talking about other people, people who are not IT specialists like yourself. You don't have to be an IT specialist to screw the URL. But people do it all the time. That's how they always find the hidden links of whatever the new game is. Wow, they really want you. I do understand, like, if you go under the dialed in, just half the links are like, out of production, explore our in-stock games. Explore our in-stock games. Please buy our in-stock games because they're sitting on our back lot sitting there doing nothing. Let me go under support again. Maybe this is a different support. Customer support. uh maybe you have to ask them now like yo where can i get the code for this game that i bought from you that i own don't don't don't it's just weird you're dialed in because if you go to stern you could get code for freaking like striker extreme or exactly you could get anything it's so weird maybe maybe i need to register my game if anyone from jersey tech actually listens please tell me i i will correct myself on the podcast if you could tell me like you're wrong asshole it's right here you're an idiot or you're right bruce and ron and sorry we fucked up i mean i waited a while the new site's been up for a few weeks yeah and still at first i figured like oh it's just not there yet but now i i just don't see it i know this is scintillating folks but we're really into I'm really into having the code and manuals available for old games. I think it's just a download. It's got to be here, and I'm missing it. But I can be dense sometimes. But, man, I would think it would just be under support. That's where it used to be. You just hit support. You could pick any game and get the stuff. Hold me close, a tiny dancer. But it's still awesome, though. And I put the latest code on it, and then at the recent Vardy Cup. It crashed again. It did not crash, and it got played a lot. Is that the only game you had running? No. And congratulations to Jesse, who won the Vardy Cup. Nice. That's a thing we do for us 5-1-8ers here in the Albany area. And that went pretty well, without a hitch, I would say. Yeah. Had some games go down, but that's the way it goes. okay uh i think that's all i have with egg pen turn oh yeah egg pen yeah that's right that yeah so during barney cup i streamed and i think we might have got up to seven people at one point because no one was watching our stream because they were all watching egg pen yep yep and um being streamed by fox cities foxies pinball hi there tom graff and they oh god poor tom they I thought the thing was over several times, and I kept turning it on, and it was still going. I thought, like, Saturday, they did the main. It's basically the main tournament is, like, it's Canadian-Penberg. This isn't Canada. Oh, Canada. I was disappointed. Usually this is the one where they make the games absurdly brutal. So you can watch the best players just get reamed. And it's one of my favorite things to watch. But it looks like the game's played a lot more fair this year. So it was probably better for the players, but not as fun for me watching it, I have to say. Hey, did you hear the other news from Canada? Well, what's the other news from Canada, Bruce? They're going to have a championship up there for themselves. Jeff Teolis released the information that he's going to be doing that. Can you be more vague, Bruce? What do you mean a championship? They already have like different provincial championships. So instead of like the European pinball championships, there's going to be the Canadian pinball championships. Is that what you're saying? All the provisionals will actually go against each other instead of being the highest ranked in the NACS. Okay. So he's going to get more information with that in the next couple of weeks. But I think that's pretty cool. Yay. I think that's what the tournament's called. Yay. Take off to the great wide north. Take off. Officially sponsored by Rush, I believe. We'll see. Yes, it will be. So, yes, the main tournament is like Canadian Pinberg. And it's the same format. They play, I think it's four games per round. All four games are different eras. Usually, you know, it's like newer than progressively older games. And, yeah, they were streaming. And that ended Saturday night. And I'm like, oh, cool. But then they had all this stuff going on Sunday. And when I went to bed Sunday night, they were still going. Like, good Lord, what is this, Europe? It's like the European tournaments that just go on forever. I was happy because the main tournament was won by Jim Belsito. Yes. And there's no one who doesn't like Jim Belsito. Yes, sir. And he's old like us. Yes, he is. And he beat all the young kids. Woo-hoo! That was awesome. I enjoyed watching that immensely. USA! USA! Oh, yeah. Yeah. And the main tournament, the top one, two, three, four, five, seven places were all American. Ooh. Oh, that's got to sting. No, what stings is Gregory Kennedy. he pulled a Josh Sharpe trifecta. Oh, no. He was second in the main match play tournament. He was second in the best card finals, and he was second in the classics. Deuces, I say. Deuces. But you know what? He got 600 Whopper points from that. Holy shnikes. Yeah, holy shit. Oh, my God. God. So I'll go over this quick because people probably hate tournaments. They do. Let's see. The women's match play was won by Leslie Ruckman. Congratulations. The Classics Charity Championships was won by Derek Thompson, who I believe is the runner of the tournament. So he won his own tournament. Congratulations, Derek. Yeah. And he is Canadian. So we had a Canadian winner. And then we had best card, Robert Gagneau. So another Canadian winner. And then, like I said, the aforementioned, Jim Belcido won the match play championship. Woo-hoo. So congratulations, winners. Yes. And that's all we're going to say about that. Yes, because everyone's already fallen asleep. They're already pissed. Like, this is supposed to be a clusterfuck. What the hell? What the fuck? Where the fuck's my clusterfuck? Exactly. And Bruce made me do this weird 249.5 crap. I don't know if we've ever done that before. We have not. That's why I wanted to do it. I'm an asshat. Yeah, that you are. 100% asshat. I love it. I'm through the topics. I think we're ready for ball back. Oh, I love to empty my ball bag. I'm sure you do. It's been a while. Yeah. We had a couple of Episode 250-specific emails, so I'm going to actually skip those. Skip those. So they can actually be on Episode 250. Wow, what a novel idea. I don't want to shortchange them. No, not at all. Let's see. This one is from Corey, and it says, Albany Golf, who themed it better? It says, Hi, Ron and Bruce. I'm planning a golf weekend with friends and we've likely settled on Albany because it's about equidistant for those of us coming from various areas of the Northeast I don't think I know anyone else in the Albany area and I can't recall if Ron's ever talked about golf on the show yes he has I have? I have? you talk about golfing with your dad I mean I know you've talked about pin golf but I'm not sure you play golf yes I do do you have any recommended courses in the area I talked this over with my dad because he knows way more about courses than I do. And what did he recommend? I kept it right up here. He recommended Orchard Creek. If you want to pay a little more money, like, you know, $100 a round or whatever the hell it is, or Saratoga National, supposedly really nice, which is north of Albany, but you get the idea. But that wasn't the only thing he's got in here. It says, I was looking up golf pinball themes and was surprised that there were only a few recent ones. So I'm going to throw a debate game out there for you to consider. I'm calling it Who Themed It Better? It's kind of like Who Wore It Better, but with pinball themes. So are you ready? Yes, Dad. Golf, teed off, or no good gophers? Which did golf better? Teed off. This is a tough one because I like both games. I like both games too, but the gophers, both of them, just ha-ha-ha. You don't hop it up and down. But it's got the hole in one shot. But so does the other game, the upper play field shot, the little third flipper. I'll say teed off just because the whole way you get to multiball is you play nine holes. Yes, exactly. You have to go and hit the nine shots. It's not nine shots, but you go through one through nine, and then you can lock a ball and start a multiball. And they got a big gopher on the top. They did it before no good gophers. I think it's the last time we actually see the spinning wheel of death of the wall. Oh, the roulette wheel. Yeah, the roulette wheel. And their call-outs aren't bad in that one. No, actually, it's a fun little game. Usually their call-outs are on the shittier side because I think they didn't actually pay voice talent and just had a voice do it. QBall Wizard, the guy's supposed to be, I think he's supposed to be Clint Eastwood. What kind of shot is that? Yeah. Oh, that's bad. Quit talking and start talking. Billiards. cue ball wizard or break shot oh i like break shot better i like break shot better as a game but man cue ball wizard has an actual cue ball yeah it has pool balls it has targets or balls it's got the stick in there yeah i i think as far as beam the theme of billiards as far as being good game Break shot's better. Yes. It's got the super cue. Let's see. Pirates of the Caribbean. Oh, God. Jersey Jack Pirates or Stern Pirates? Of course, if our Zach was here, he would say neither. Yes, he would say neither. I'll say neither. Black Rose. Yeah, totally true. Yes, Black Rose, always. It's got a ship. It's got a fucking cannon. I think Buccaneers better than both fucking Pirates of the Caribbean. It's got Davy Jones Locker. It's got, come on. Arr! Black Rose. But if I had to choose between the other, it's tough because it has the rocking play field thing. Yeah. But Stern Pirates has the freaking ship. The ship is cooler. The ship is cool as hell. You can hit the ship and you can actually take it down and watch the sink. Yeah, I'll say Stern just because of the ship. Yep, but it's definitely Black Rose. Dystopian future, Demolition Man or Johnny Mnemonic? Oh, Demolition Man by far. Demolition Man by far. The problem is I've never seen Giant Mnemonic. So I don't know how well it's represented. The crane, no, is pretty cool. And, of course, you know. And it's not dystopian future. Everything's great in the world of Demolition Man. Exactly. No, not really because underneath it's all rotten. It's all rotten. In the underground or what is it called? I don't know what it's called. But, hmm. I'm saying Demo Man. I'll say Giant Mnemonic just to be contrarian. What else is new? Yes. let's see spider-man or the incredible hulk gottlieb i like spider-man better i just don't like the freaking well no what represents it better what's what's a better spider-man or better i don't like no because i just don't like the slingshot shooter things and that's not even like a hulk thing it's just very annoying so when i play hulk it's just like i just want to get done with this game at least spider-man feels like a normal pilmo machine it's a wide body It's kind of flowy. It's flowy. No, it's floaty. Floaty and flowy. I actually don't mind that game compared to other. Mostly Spider-Man just because of the nice spider web targets. And I also like the Backglass. I think the Backglass is way more comic. Yes, it is. Anthropomorphic animals. I think I said that right. Did I say that right? I don't know. Anthropomorphic animals. Yeah, I think I said that right. Police force or swords of fury? Oh, that's like animals that are human-like. Yeah, I have to say police force. Because you have multiple animals. On the other game, it's only Lion Man. Yeah, I'll say police force. Police force. I'll also throw out, what's the godly one where you're trying to escape from prison? Where everyone's dogs? Oh, the dogs, yeah. And the one looks like Edward G. Robinson for some reason, the dog. And it's got a super cool corkscrew thing. Yeah. And it's got the cool when you're escaping from prison, the big spotlights come on. Yeah. Woo! Woo! Yeah. Oh, I always like the presentation on that game. The one I can't think of the title of. I'm sorry. Someone's yelling it right now. You idiot! You fucking idiot! You asshole! Beloved children cartoon. Childhood cartoon. The Flintstones or Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle? Well, it's got to be the Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle because the Flintstones game is based on the movie. And second, the Flintstones was a evening show, not a morning show. Well, it says childhood cartoon, so you're saying the child couldn't stay awake and watch it? It was meant for more adults, actually, at that time. Oh, Rocky, save me! Again! Again! I just remember Mystery Science Theater. There was a movie where they had a character named Rocky, and every time they said his name, they just kept doing that. Again! Again! that's right i'm mr do it all or whatever no yes rocky save me i actually kind of like rocky bullwinkle it's goofy it is goofy again goofy game ronnie likes it so i like that game that was nice who does who did it better thank you cory that was the first email wow yeah wow let's see then we got oh god so when we talked about the clusterbuck and we said just make sure you have like a chrome browser so our very own scott he replies what's chrome it's what's what's on your balls yes chrome balls yep um yes we got an email from chris one of our longest time listeners who's like, count me in for the clusterfuck. Woo-hoo. And anybody else who wants to come in, we're talking probably. Yeah, if we're going to say that, like, when did you feel like recording, Bruce? Hold on. Sunday, 1st of June. You can pick the time. Okay, Sunday, 1st of June. All right. You pick the time. Yes, audience, you pick the time. Well, it probably can't be morning because no one can ever get up, it seems. I know. So we'll do 6 p.m. Okay. Yeah. We'll try, folks. We'll try to get somebody on. Let's see. This is from Sean. Oh, boy. The subject is Spooky's Manuals. Yes. Oh, boy. Okay, gentlemen. Oh, we're gentlemen. Listener since 2016. Since the beginning, Bruce. Never miss a show. Oh, that's worrisome. I've been a technical writer for 25 years and my side gig is writing Spooky's game manuals we have the actual game manual person here for years Bruce has harped on Spooky for not having manuals which inspired me to contact Spooky to see if I could write them but he doesn't live in Wisconsin no for the past few years I have worked with AJ I've worked with AJ and Spooky on Scooby Doo Texas Chainsaw Massacre Looney Tunes and the Evil Dead. And the Evil Dead will be on Spooky Support site by the time you read this email. Oh my god. Does this mean that Bruce has directly made this happen? You're welcome, folks. Wow! So when you see manuals on Spooky's site, you have to thank Sean F. and Bruce. Wow. Game support. Hold on. Game support. I'm speechless. I don't know what to say. Game manual for evil dead coming up so it's there well i'm waiting i'm waiting to see the pdf come on come on i'm waiting to see it the link is there but i'm waiting to see it on my link can always be there that's easy to put up it's in there wow everyone praise bruce uh and praise sean oh praise sean getting a hold of a spooky insane make some damn manuals p.s i said hello to ron at two different Chicago Expos, and it was uncomfortable. Oh, boy. Wow. What the hell did I do? That's okay because Ron shines behind the microphone. You too, Bruce. Wow. What does that mean? I don't shine in public. I guess I'm more open and outgoing. Wow. Man, I guess I suck. Well, I didn't want to say it, but yeah. Oh. Thank you, Sean. Let's see. We got this one's from Nick. It says, hey, Ron and Bruce, I was listening to episode 249. Wait a minute. This is 249. Oh, no. It's 249.5. I was listening to episode 249 this week while working in my shop, and holy shit, I didn't expect to hear any talk about a King of the Hill pinball machine. Hopefully barrels of funds didn hear you because that been my homebrew project for the last year Nice i all for beavis and butthead by then though here a link to my project and if you interested and it is a link to instagram to his king of the hill project which will not forget what is with links not working in my email browser you have such tight security nothing can get through yeah such tight security i can't open a damn link so cool i wouldn't mind it king of the hill what the hell's going on now every time i do king i keep thinking i know i'm doing i'm doing tom anderson i'm peggy hill peggy hill the spanish teacher yes 13 13 shoes yes right what the hell i just love unfortunately i i kind of stopped watching cable at a certain point so i only saw like the first season or so so i i remember a lot of those episodes like where you can't poop yeah but honestly after season four it got really bad it really did huh okay it did because i thought it was good pretty much all the way through no when they got tom petty on it was really uh i thought he came in even later than season four i know but that's when the king of the hill was on a lot longer than beefs about it oh i know but if i'll never poop again it'll just be who i am Yikes. Oh, my God. I just love when he has the charge on his card because he supposedly brought a porn movie back late to the video store and shows how old this episode is. And he's like, I never rented any porn video. And he just fights it because he has to because he's Hank Hill. Yes, he's Hank Hill. So he becomes almost like a porn expert. And he goes to trial like, I couldn't have rented this porn because she wouldn't have had a tattoo yet in the porn or something. It was hilarious. Nice. Thank you, Nick. Thank you, Nick. And that's it for the ball bag. Wow, that's it because we have stuff hidden for $250. Yeah, we have a couple of hidden $250s and some hilarious clips by at least one famous pinball person. Oh, my. And it's legit. It's not like AI or anything. Just think about that. So, repairs. Repairs. Repairs. So what you got, Bruce? Well, I got my playfield protector for AFM finally. Oh, you're going to put a playfield protector in there? I have to because it's still chipping a little bit. So got to protect the playfield. So I'm going to put that on hopefully after shop. Oh, God, he's yawning already. Yep. Oh, it's freaking late for me. After stomp. It's 740, folks. I go to bed at 8. 740. I go to bed at 8. uh so i gotta put that playfield protector on a lot of basic stuff we've done some switches on um we finally replaced the switch on metallica the jaw batman is officially healed so we can write that off write that off so it worked long enough for you to not okay yep so we're good on that what else have i had a couple switches couple drop targets broken god i keep on bringing more more drop targets oh ron i have a gift for you oh i have a little gift for you little boy it's not the diamond studded dildo we talked about earlier is it yes it is with lube it's a little spittle no i bought drop targets from australia mate stone ones okay and i got some red ones here for you all right you know what you need your red ones for don't these the 3d printed ones Yes, they are. Yeah. So these are for Dragon Fist, I assume. You got the fist, baby. Because that's the only one I got that has that. You got the fist. So I assumed you got blue ones for Viper. No. Oh. He didn't have the blue ones. All he had was red and white. Oh. But I got better than nothing. Mm-hmm. So I got a red pack for you. Aww. Aww. See, Bruce is not a total fucking asshole, just partial asshole. He's never an asshole to me. I know. No, I'm actually, they're my friends, so I really like them. I'm Bruce immune. And I did pick up another game this past couple of months. Good Lord. Okay. You know what it is. Evil Knievel. Nope. Oh. Meteor? No, you sold it to me, douche. Oh, I thought we already talked about that. Well, I didn't pick it up. Now I did. Yes, he picked up the whodunit. Woo-hoo! It's like I walked in the back. It's like, hey, that looks familiar. Yes. and now it's up front. It's actually on the floor. We have 82 games now at the RPC. Wow. And I want to give a shout out to the Austin Pinball. You notice how so many more pinball collectives are now popping up all over the place? There's one in Knoxville coming up. There's one now coming up from Austin. Okay. That's a good thing. That's a very good thing. No, congratulations to everyone. I'm glad to hear that they're all branching out. So welcome to the club, guys. We're going to have some fun. All right, you ready for my repair? Yes. So I'm going to give this quandary to you. Okay. And see if you can figure it out. Okay, okay. This is World Cup Soccer. Goal! And I'll give you a little bit of information. It has a color DMD in it. Mm-hmm. That was not the cause of the issue. I'll just tell you that. But I'm just letting you know it's a color DMD. So during the tournament, during the Varney Cup, in the middle of a game, with the ball in play, the flippers die on the player. Flipper's dead, balls drain, then it starts kicking the balls into the shooter lane just continuously. Ah, so you lost the voltage. So turn the game off, turn it back on, it boots up, no display. That's the other thing, the display went out also. You lost 12 volts. So, folks, what do you think it is? You lost 12 volts. Yeah, that was what I thought it was, too. Now, here's the interesting part of it. So, yeah, you lost 12 volts because I figured the optos must have – because that would explain the flippers dying because the optos on the flippers, like, okay, they don't work anymore. And that would explain to me why it kept kicking the balls out because it's confused. It doesn't know where the balls are, et cetera. and it also would explain the color DMD going out because they don't run on high voltage. Nope, they run on 5 and 12 volts. And since it booted, you had 5 volts. Yes, and since it booted, I know KDMPU is probably not fried or anything. Nope. So, I figured it was a blown fuse. Do you remember what fuse it is, Bruce? F105 or F111? No, F111. And if you turn the game on, LED 7 on the driver board. It's out. It's not on, yeah. Which is for the 12 volts, one of the two. They were 12 volts. So here's the thing. I checked the fuse. The fuse tests good. Hmm. Bad holder? I replaced it anyway, and everything comes back up. Hmm. Interesting. Yeah. Like I literally took the fuse out, tested it. It tested good. I put it back in, turned it on, still wasn't working. Took the fuse out, put a brand new fuse in, and boom, everything comes on. All set. Interesting. So even a fuse that tests good can still be bad. It does happen once in a while. But, yes, I knew as soon as you said what happened, the 12 volts is definitely the issue. Yeah. What really worried me is it got kind of hot down there at the Varney Cup. I was having some AC issues. It's getting hot in here. and that's one of the few games that I still have incandescence like in the backbox, and it was like a fucking sauna when I opened that thing up. It's like, no, no, I'm done. It's like all back boxes, LEDs, no more incandescence. The funny thing is I think the only three games I have that are all in a row. That 14-time cat, get away, and we'll come soccer. Nice. So, yeah, I got to remedy that. even if it gives a little bit strobe effect or whatever uh whatever i i can't i can't have that that was too hot it's too hot too hot too hot baby gotta run for shelter gotta run for shade it's so crazy you were out for like a month and nothing really happened nope it is new i think they were just they didn't want to reveal anything because you were not around nope well i did have to actually have once a month we have a meeting at the rpc oh yeah yeah that's right i remember you were remotely i did it on the ship yes we were cruising and i actually hooked online and got on and emperor bruce was there yes and it was six hours difference so it was really rough it was 11 o'clock my time you were like the emperor i am like the emperor can it be done The games will work or we will die, my master. So two weeks from now, we'll have Clusterfuck. So if you want to join us, please message us at slamtiltpodcast at gmail.com. Come on down. You can have some fun. All you need is a computer, a microphone, a headset. Well, you need a headset. You need a Google. You need a headset. You need some Chrome. You have a Google. Since it is Memorial Day in this beautiful country, we are memorializing all of our soldiers who have passed away. Thank you for your service. Your fight helped us keep us free. That's a cool thing. Thank you. Let's see. I have. America! I'm getting my home pressure washed. And when he sent me the thing saying what day it was going to be, it was May 26th. I didn't think anything of it. Now I'm thinking, like, that's Memorial Day. Yeah, but he probably gets the day off. Is he actually coming up on Memorial Day? I mean, it works for me because I'm going to be home anyway. I'm probably going to do my house. I have to pressure wash my house, and I think that's what I'm going to do this weekend. Come on, Canadians. We've got four spots. How many Canadians do we have signed up? Four. Really? Yes. Okay. We have spots for four more. Come on, guys. Well, he doesn't have good taste in games. He's already proven it. He's proven that. He's selling... He sold his Radical. What does that tell you? Radical? I know. I did think of you at Allentown because there was a Radical there. Yeah, I heard it was pretty nice. Yeah, and it said not for sale. I know. I was like, fuck. But thanks to whoever brought it to bring a radical. Yeah, radical to a show. It's really cool. And not even put an absurd price on it just in case someone's dumb enough to pay it. Literally just not for sale. There was a Torpedo Alley there, too. Yes. Yes, there was a Torpedo Alley. I like that game. There was also My Guilty Pleasure game, Road Kings. Oh, God. Oh, I found out our Zach actually doesn't hate Road Kings. Wow. Yeah. That's really stupid. That surprised me. It just seemed to me that he would hate that game. I do. But I was surprised. Well, Zach has owned, what, how many big guns? Big guns? He's owned like three or four. He's owned three or four big guns. Big guns? Yeah. Why? I know. Thank you. With that huge backbox? What's the point? I know. No, no. You need to get Road Kings instead. No, no, no. No? No. From the design team that brought you Pulp Fiction, literally. I did see that out there today. I saw one of the places I have local to us, Musin Plus, who does repairs and everything like that. He had one on the floor he was selling. I was like, oh, road gangs. There you go. Nope. Walked past it. But right next to it was a high roller casino. When are you going to get one of those? It is my fucking guilty pleasure. It really is. When are you going to get one? I don't know.
