is it nope we did one we did tonight the only one we did toppers with was medieval yep and those kids will come back when we do 23. very cool medieval yeah that's a huge upgrade bill did did you go with the full top uh the full uh upgrade kit for your mediaville so i need a topper and rgb kit still okay because you bought the standard i did and you went with the xla chip yes cool but yeah and it was modded out already from the previous owner artblades shaker motors uh all sorts of crazy [ __ ] i mean i honestly i'm happy with it yeah you know oh it's a great game so literally right now i my kids have not been allowed in the basement because my son will freak if he knows this is gone that is hilarious so you blackmailed your kids out of you kids can't play pinball because cactus is gone uh yeah he doesn't know my daughter making a train big into monster bash right now she loves frankenstein and she loves medieval for the castle okay she's cool do you like this she played a couple of games but she's really into the frankenstein and my son loves this because the train so if his game's not there yet he will lose his absolute mind and it's easier to say oh we're going to go outside it's raining yeah that's fine we're not going to not playing no pinball anyway sorry guys yeah too much lightning i can't turn the pinball down yeah yeah sorry sorry people gotta have excuses um yeah our show games including this one here we do we do a change in the settings to max extra ball per ball and play at one this way it makes the game a little more challenging so you can't stack multiballs on the same on one ball yeah that's fair so this way it gives everybody an even challenge here tonight i like it i believe last week i got a three ball we sat for like 15 minutes yeah yeah i mean you had a great game i was jealous destroyed yeah absolutely this way this way steve has a chance i i need it i need it oh steve doesn't need a chance i need the chance i mean i was gonna propose you on the game you have more you have more practice time in it than he does no literally when i brought it home my son played it i had like i don't know ten games maybe thank you for the arcades what percent of the dmd animations are new in the extended code in cactus canyon because we ended up adding in so much of the code yeah pretty much all of the animation and it was all redrawn okay fair enough yeah we don't we don't emulate our dots in it we had so many more dots it's ridiculous so therefore means everything that was drawn to the hd from scratch using the the original reference like a template that was a lot of the frames in here that pretty cool exist such as the extra ball frame didn't um you know when you see when you hit the beer mug he wasn't in there yeah okay yeah okay the match sequence none of that stuff was in there so therefore means you know we kind of had to take everything from a perspective of draw it from scratch and make it great when you and you guys tell us that stuff on uh on on your cgc website too where you showed the original animations versus what you guys have read a lot of times we will show the originals versus what's it called you're going to look at minimal you can look at monster and you can see what we've done in the past versus what the new stuff off and it's just crazy i mean to see like those animations like literally when this game fires on you see the you know cactus canyon across the screen it's impressive right it's all that's all 100 this we actually went backwards and drew in dots okay makes it a little bit more a little tougher because you're you know oh yeah yes yeah i got nothing like that i'm not wow nice that's an awesome animation there i love the minecart even the parts i mean the know i played one game before an original and it was okay kind of the one trick pony kind of the one trick pony it was a beautiful example um but it wasn't this you know then it was a train uh restored example um i mean i hate this a beautiful game but not not you know it's not a brand new it's not this you know and dennis has got the code in it that's finished like the original poly mode home arcade we did you know arcade legends and kid legends too or yeah somewhere in there we did the that literally could [Music] was that the first pin they ever did it was first pin okay yeah and so it was basically designed for someone who wanted a pinball for their game room wanted to stay inexpensive but i mean here like the arcade legends you can travel in all 50 states that have oh galagos a great escape or a uh uh american sail and i mean you have your products in every one of those stores yeah there's a lot in the of a lot of uh fight dealers carry okay serious yeah zach just put up he has a miss pacman gallagher he might not stop no in hey chad better beat me to it because i didn't know uh zach had one so i might be uh got the upright anniversary really yeah he's got one sitting there [Music] you know will we produce a cocktail pinball machine um i'd highly doubt that i don't think there's a marketplace i don't think there's a big market for that people don't generally stray away from the general of pinball like the standard of pinball you know i mean a standard cabinet you know ish standard size play field when you start divvying from that it really detracts not the tracks it's polarizing and not not a lot of people here now we got a little bit more even like revenge from mars and uh star wars people didn't like it because it wasn't you know it wasn't conventional it wasn't yeah and they couldn't adapt to it now now it's a you know a classic but at the time it was a lot of fun oh yeah attacking or something would we ever produce a wide body yeah i don't know what's coming out of the line right now all i know is we're working on cactus we're going to try and get cactus out fast forward and you guys have been ripping these out pretty solid essies are moving we're trying to get the leds moving even faster um international faster we're just all hands on back training these things out the door the nice thing is is they don't feel rushed it's a quality product you know and that's what you're getting a quality it feels solid i mean it is just no i know i i didn't mean to like that you know it's not but i mean it it's a full body game i mean it is beautiful you know i'll say this i mean the redesign on the the train in there's metal bart's redesigned you know the guns are full 3d sculpted versus the original black plastic that was the black vacuum form the mountain's been redone everything in there is completely re-reimagined as far as looking cosmetics then you add in the rgb leds which really take the game to a different bubble oh yeah you know and then i gotta say this one of the biggest problems in the original one was the drop targets we weren't happy with them when we first showed the game we went back and redesigned all the drop targets they've got literally um you know a pitch on the face of it so they anti-loft wow so you had the original max basically no we can't copy the redesign okay okay we've redesigned the whole mac to to do more with the game because we're like i don't like we don't like these original macs that's the original maxwell redesigned these and the original mechs were very dependent on a lot of different variables okay and so in turn it was like that was one of the achilles heel of the original cactus okay i gotcha these ones here should last a lifetime that's what we try and design everything for lifetime yeah we want you to play it we want bill to take his number one spot tonight so this way he can beat i'll jump so he can beat steve we want courtney bowman to throw the game too is 3d printed on the there's no 3d printing there that's uh that's actually metal and cast i'm sorry but it's an actual yeah it's an actual oh yeah it's 3d but yeah it's made of metal just like the trick it's not a sticker it's no i mean it's that that's what you know i meant to say i mean it's right it is different than the sc if i'm not mistaken right huh that is different than the sc so the se has the metal apron on it and it has decals on it where the led's gonna have a wood grain arch yeah that's um laser branded okay i'll use the terminal that's that's what it is yeah i said did monster we did that first we start with medieval then we did attack then we did monster bash and in there you know cactus has been moving shortly after monster we came back and did mmr royal you know how many people royals oh yeah the the holy grail unicorn title right now no kidding you know and so then in return so in turn while we were doing all that stuff you know cactus has been a development one of the big things that's different in cactus canyon is the menu guys we completely redesigned the entire operating i saw you going through that and i was like i don't remember that oh no it was different i don't think my it's not from ours the entire operating system is different than this so to give us the ability to write the code that was missing interesting so no more hold down the green button for five hold down the credit button for five seconds to get into the cgc menu it is all in the main coding on it very cool now we did follow the williams menu tree so it's still a13 and a4 and sure adjustments and we followed the same menu tree but we integrated all the all the rules and all the all the coil adjustments and everything into the main menu so now you can literally access that all at one point yeah that was uh that was interesting watching you uh go through and set some stuff over earlier yeah so you know like i said it was change at one setting to to this way make sure we got it all yep you know and that was the key yep you know so oh yeah when i when i got this game home and i was like okay gotta turn it on free play i'm like wait a minute i know i had to do something funny here blah blah blah blah because you know you go in the settings one time and you pretty much leave them alone so yeah and i was like wait a minute this is a little different a little different guys it's it's a lot in a good way it's a lot more interactive i mean it's a lot more intuitive once you get to learn it a little bit it's a lot more intuitive it's almost like when apple updates your phone but you they went reverse so you really knew it right you know well we took it all it went into one one big thing all right and and uh zach has a question for you down on the very bottom here cheers bill was ccr more work yes it was we took an unfinished game and finished it you know in the same style that you would see from original the original team so that made it a lot more work you know from finishing up missing art elements to finishing up code that was never finished you know sure so are so good of that sense a sense zach asked that question i'm going to go um this way people can see it and see kind of the amount of work that's in there now one thing i will say is that the animations our they are done so you will be seeing the new animations in it but when you get to the bank robbery yeah and stuff like that or the cactuses and sharpshooters none of those modes are there there's only one boat in this game and then probably from the train yeah that's the only mode in the game guys so there's a lot of extra features in that you've got three bart brothers not there yeah we in the extent in the extended code you know you got the one one shot there gold mine's a lot easier in the original code good job so just something different guys well originally this game was made they were i'm trying to think what did they run 925 i think right something like that yeah yeah and long story short is it was a stop fill there was a stop gap for the line so the line didn't shut down transitioning to pinball 2000. and that was the big thing is it was kind of just get it to the line get it here it'll ship okay cool pinball 2000 is ready here we go let's go and it went yeah yeah didn't uh they didn't develop the code well the code all right shooting code yeah but that was about it yeah it wasn't as polished as the other one no it wasn't as polished as anything before it no bionic part no so we're going to let bill show us how to shoot keep your time nice so here's a question um it's kind of like the nerd in me so how do you get the code from the old game and i'm assuming you're not coding in the same language for the new game actually we did really yes so but they're not on chips anymore no they're written into like a mini computer kind of right right okay it's all written that way okay interesting so you're literally taking the basis of the code and reimagining it and redoing it in the same language that it was originally that was one of the interesting things about cactus do you know what language what that is so front 40 40 if i remember right individual leds that track the targeting on the topper so it makes for a lot of fun yeah how many times do you have a topper that's interactive you i mean interactive wednesday thursday back up on friday they declared a natural disorder they shut the city down friday no more conventions wow so literally it was quite quite a scary time in the world oh yeah yeah you know what that was the first time this this last ball i actually saved miss polly congratulations well no you did it last time too did i so one of the interesting things that no one's caught yet is so there's two different game over screens okay oh my gosh if you're playing a multi-person ball if you save polly and chose cowboy carrying polio oh okay if you don't say polly it says okay so both say game over but yeah it's definitely a fun time yeah but i thought that was the first time i did it where the train was going and i got all three ramps to save congratulations yeah i feel like i feel like i've accomplished something i know that sounds crazy but you know um i i just hadn't done it in the other games so we'll answer kevin's questions don't have a natural emergency don't have a there's so many subtle changes in this game that unless you own it and i don't want to spoil everything for everybody and we do we obviously we didn't hear tonight but when you own it you'll see by looking through the internet or pictures you'll see some of the subtle changes that were done and things that were completed that weren't completed in the original game very cool you know to make this a full on full-featured game uh you know some art elements the light shows that have been put in it that are amazing yeah you know i mean using the pin stadiums and the streams you don't get the full
