[Music] we are here live at the museum of pinball in banning california it's in this the ifa open the first event of the stern pro circuit top 40 are going to make the playoffs here in last year's winner colin urban he showed up today did he make the top 40. some people get a buy some people get two buys we're gonna see groups of four in action four two one zero scoring the top two from every group will advance here in the playoffs at the ifba open at indisc so welcome to uh it never drains in southern california we are here in banning at the museum of pinball for the finals of the open we are going to be joining a tiebreaker game on diner against jordan with jordan duchesne again against nyx to stefano except we're not because they're done um [Music] but we should probably introduce ourselves again because we introduce ourselves because we couldn't be heard before um i'm ian harrower with me here is ryan wenger colin pinball and yes my deal all right so we may be joining a tiebreaker on sopranos we are joining a tie breaker on soprano perfect who's in a tiebreaker so this is don john del zappo and john john kramer battle of the johns perfect all right so uh we're joining this game in progress there's a couple modifications to this game that uh make it interesting here so ryan you want to walk through what they've done to this sure one of the modifications is there's no plunger they remove the plunger rod completely you press both flippers and it it auto plunges which you'll see here because a lot of people abuse this game uh by short plunging over and over again and uh doing some switch validation tricks which i think is very skillful to do so i agree i'm not a fan of the removing of the plunger because i tried doing that trick and i'm terrible at it so it's not something that i think any player can properly do but i understand why they've done it here because otherwise it will take forever for the tournament so we're on ball three here so like this is it he needs four million points so what's a quick way to try to score well since he just locked a ball i'm assuming what he's gonna go for is this uh this stuttgart's uh i lost my teleprompter here but we'll get it back so there's a boat there's a flashing green and yellow next to each other in the center of the play field with a drop target um the drop target is dangerous and can drain you but behind it will be a multi-ball that's pretty much gonna guarantee him the win here yeah so in normal default rules that would be one one shot to the drop target to drop it but they put this on hard right i think that yellow light oh yeah so he is he's gonna avoid that uh decided it's too dangerous right now so yeah a lot of people in this game they go that the purple shot's there uh to build up to this bang multiball but that's uh that's a strategy for a lot more points than than he needs so he's got one of the modes going now how much are those shots again so they'll be worth like a few hundred thousand i think so this is actually a good way for him to progress and build here um it's worth making the move here he could also go up the middle and try to finish his safe because that's like 1.25 i think for the first safe but again it's a pretty dangerous shot it's just like that drop target right it's flashing right now and it's over there it is for safe 1.2.25 this is going to be he's very close he's got double shake down which is the pop bumpers you also notice we have the scores displaying live below the player's name so if you're wondering how close it is oh that's really nice oh he's he probably got it on bonus courtesy yeah he's got it i mean this isn't a very bonus heavy game but now yeah he's got it yeah so congratulations to john cramer from vancouver bc advancing into the second round at it never drains in southern california and now he's just going to play multiball to show off well so he doesn't need to stop right that's right he has the right to continue to play out this game he may have to play this game in a later round we don't know if this was on his card um if i hadn't i'd play this out just to get the feel for it get some practice in yeah because even if you played it yesterday on your card it's still nice to be able to play it today if you need to play it later in one of the other rounds
